00:19:22on the international scene Ukraine says it is carried out long-range
00:19:26strikes on two Russian oil refineries as both sides report
00:19:30fresh attacks in escalating exchange of drone warfare.
00:19:34Ukrainian president Zelanski says the targeted refineries in

00:19:51Ukraine reports at least five people killed in separate
00:19:55Russian strikes on residential areas and railway
00:19:59station. Away from the war in
00:20:02Ukraine, Montreal's Jewish community is rallying around
00:20:06local businesses. after fire gatted a cosier
00:20:10restaurant as business owners say fears of
00:20:13antisemitism have grown in recent years. the blaze broke
00:20:17out in norm restaurant on declare bult
00:20:20causing extensive damage. in the meantime, montrael police are
00:20:24investigating the fire as suspected arson, but say it is not
00:20:28being threat treated as a hate crime at the stage.
00:20:32the restaurant fire follows a series of attacks on jewish schools,
00:20:35synagogues and community built. in Montreal since the Israel
00:20:39gaza war began on October
00:20:422023.
00:20:49Because the... the
00:20:52immediate reaction was to declare
00:20:56that this was absolutely an act of anti-semitism. what we're
00:21:00trying to share with the public is we are really waiting for the facts.
00:21:04there was a deep loss, people are feeling it. um, but i think what's
00:21:08really important is to look at the way the community has been rallying behind
00:21:11us. we had someone from the community set up a gofund me for us that we've
00:21:15now coordinated with. we've had so many people, we're
00:21:19very thankful. they've offered their restaurants, they've offered their
00:21:22venues, they've offered, even if it's just kind
00:21:26word, they've offered to to move us into a new place, they've offered
00:21:30so many things. as father I'm raising many young children, thank
00:21:34god, and uh, my kids uh,
00:21:38I walk to school, the school is in the area, great thing about
00:21:41Montreal, especially in this area, everything is walkable, and I would
00:21:45love as father to always know that my kids are safe on the streets
00:21:49and... that able to go to their friends house, to school, to the synagogue back and
00:21:53forth, and not have to worry and be stressed that about based off
00:21:57this different events that have been going on the past few years, especially in the light of what's going
00:22:01on the past few weeks, to have that fear of who knows what's
00:22:05happening at that Jewish site or who uh or or what's going on on the
00:22:09streets for someone like my family which are
00:22:12visibly jewish uh with all that's going
00:22:15on in the world
00:22:16today.
