00:00:00respect and this sovereign defense
00:00:02arrangement and the idea is, I think it is a high
00:00:06time that this region must
00:00:10this is not such a majority find an independent architecture
00:00:13to bring peace and security in this region, from far from
00:00:16areas the time has proved, it is probably difficult
00:00:20if not impossible.
00:00:24seven, eight thousand people So let me emphasize that we will
00:00:27obviously, we must not be
00:00:30you know, ignoring what's happening in the
00:00:34world, the times are very challenging.
00:00:37The situations need full attention of
00:00:41all the countries in the region, particularly our region, and we have seen
00:00:45that now the energy supply chain disruption. We have seen the prices. The common man is
00:00:49suffering. Again, the government
00:00:52say, a jirga, whatever could do for the two-wheelers, three-wheelers subsidy, remove all the
00:00:55taxes, give a refund through through tokens. Almost
00:00:5910% 10 million people are benefiting. So if you take
00:01:02average size of family five, so
00:01:0550 million individuals in Pakistan are
00:01:08benefiting. Ladies and
00:01:11gentlemen,
00:01:14let me also emphasize that the counter-terrorism must not be used as a
00:01:17pretext to suppress, as you said, the legitimate
00:01:20struggle, and despite our continuing sacrifices, let
00:01:24me
00:01:27make it very clear that there should be no doubt that
00:01:31our unflinching resolve to
00:01:34escalating it. So fight terrorism will ever get weaker as a
00:01:37nation. Excuse me. Our people, armed
00:01:40forces, police and intelligence services continue to confront
00:01:44this menace with extraordinary courage very frequently,
00:01:48almost on a daily basis. We
00:01:51will continue, Inshallah. This is all because the citizens
00:01:55deserve safety and our country deserves
00:01:59peace. Excellencies and gentlemen,
00:02:02Pakistan believes in a peaceful neighborhood. We
00:02:05desire a region where trade flows from Central Asian
00:02:09states to the Arabian Sea, where
00:02:12roads, railway and energy links connect our
00:02:16people and bring cross-border prosperity. But our
00:02:19pursuit of peace cannot come at the expense of our people's
00:02:23security.
00:02:25Good neighborliness is a
00:02:27against terrorism two-way obligation. It cannot be
00:02:31great commitment, with great courage,
00:02:43fault is
00:03:03because you want to see everything in all its
00:03:06glory.
00:03:11Because you've always had an eye for
00:03:13goal.
00:03:17Because you want to make a great first
00:03:19impression.
00:03:22and how much for each of Because we focus every innovation on you. Because we can help you
00:03:27Look, the thing is find your perfect style. Because of all these things, there's only one
00:03:30choice, but it's opticians.
00:03:34and transferring power Hello, hello, lead, delicious taste so unique, so
00:03:37light, simply irresistible. Hello.
00:03:42two years, and especially Hey. Hi there, hard to resist, isn't it?
00:03:46Mild and light, come on, take a
00:03:49aggression started cheeky bite. That's delicious. Deliciously different.

00:03:54is that door sensor has set off the alarm.
00:03:57Yeah, I've just seen someone try and break in. Yes, my colleagues are on the phone with the police
00:04:00now. I don't know what to do. I mean, just stay where you are.
00:04:04Right here with you till the police. Nothing was damaged or
00:04:06taken. Be safer. Be
00:04:10sure, very
00:04:12sure.
00:04:15Come on.

00:04:33afternoon. Potent
00:04:36caramel. Bronzed beaver. Now
00:04:39that's interesting.
00:04:43Well, look at
00:04:46you. When it has to be just
00:04:49so Sofology, Sofology.

00:06:04In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you, viewers.
00:06:07The fear that was expressed in the jirga for the past two
00:06:11or three weeks has finally
00:06:15materialized. Governor's rule and emergency have been imposed
00:06:19in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. And before
00:06:22proceeding further, let me show you
00:06:26what the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said two weeks
00:06:29ago when we spoke to him in the jirga.
00:06:33What was that? Well,
00:06:36Governor Sahib, if I have to interview you next week,
00:06:40then inflation
00:06:42is in the right place, effect reserves are in the right place, policy rate is in the
00:06:55right place. So the first rate that we did was actually
00:06:58in April of this year, which was a private placement of
00:07:02750 million dollars. And then we accessed the
00:07:05panda bond market, which was credit enhanced
00:07:09and it was a long time coming from.
00:07:12because it is the second largest, second deepest capital market in the world.
00:07:16And so it was a very successful issue. Do you
00:07:19think it's being successful given higher global yields?
00:07:22Yeah, so as you know, about three weeks back we did a
00:07:26three billion dollar Euro bond. The
00:07:30overall appetite of that was actually the order book was twice of that,
00:07:34and we were very pleased with the length and breadth. Of course, there were Asian
00:07:37investors, there were Middle East investors, but the bulk of it was sort of
00:07:41European and US investors. And it's after a hiatus, after a gap for four
00:07:45years, that Pakistan accessed international capital markets. Now,
00:07:48going forward, we are not in a rush in this
00:07:52fiscal year, but as part of a medium-term strategy, we have given
00:07:56mandates for Islamic Sukuks. We are given
00:07:59mandates for also for the first time
00:08:03dollar dollar settled but rupee
00:08:06denominated bonds. A lot of reverse inquiries coming
00:08:09through on that as well. And then going forward, we are going to
00:08:13issue RFPs for the remaining panda bond because NAFM approval is
00:08:17for billion dollars. We printed 250. And for
00:08:20the first time, we are also going to see uh if we
00:08:23can go for tokenization of our
00:08:26existing
00:08:28Euro bonds. So not in a rush. Does this mean this comes potentially next year,
00:08:32or what sort of timeline are you looking at,
00:08:35these? From our perspective, it's going to be determined
00:08:38by pricing, tenor and market conditions.
00:08:43Um, so the
00:08:46way I was sort of explaining to you a bit earlier as well
00:08:49that um this year, you know, it's not a
00:08:53question of that we absolutely need to cover our external
00:08:57financing gap. But over the next two to three years, what we do
00:09:01want to do is to see if some of our short-term external
00:09:04debt can be refinanced into longer tenors,
00:09:08longer maturities. So Pakistan is a country that does not
00:09:11have to go into this...
00:09:43meaning there is an agenda, and no personal or
00:09:47political agenda can be given priority.
00:09:50At this time, Pakistan
00:09:54is facing such
00:09:58an external aggression, a foreign
00:10:02aggression. Their
00:10:06anti-Pakistan agenda,
00:10:09or their narrative
00:10:12against Pakistan, is
00:10:16very clear.
00:10:19And in this,
00:10:22Pakistan's
00:10:25sworn enemy,
00:10:28India, is involved.
00:10:31The land of Afghanistan and the people
00:10:34of Afghanistan are being used
00:10:37in this aggression, in this war of terrorism
00:10:41that has been imposed on Pakistan.
00:10:45We have tried to make them understand
00:10:48many times, to engage
00:10:52in dialogue with them,
00:10:56and to reach an understanding.
00:11:00We have told them
00:11:02that Afghanistan should not allow its land to be used
00:11:05for terrorism against Pakistan.
00:11:08And
00:11:10we have held negotiations with them,
00:11:14or as they
00:11:17we have sat down and talked with them
00:11:21at the last stage.
00:11:23And not only Pakistan,
00:11:27but also Pakistan's friendly
00:11:30and Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia,
00:11:34Qatar, Turkey,
00:11:37and to some extent,
00:11:40China, are involved.
00:11:43But they did not agree to anything,
00:11:47and after
00:11:50imposing this war
00:11:54of terrorism, they have started
00:11:59the effects of this are that approximately 12
00:12:03districts are such
00:12:07that some
00:12:10of them were ex-FATA,
00:12:13and besides that, Lakki Marwat,
00:12:16Karak, and Dera Ismail
00:12:20Khan, where we are not saying that
00:12:24every person in KP says that in the daytime, the government
00:12:28has writ, and at night, the terrorists
00:12:32have their government there,
00:12:35or the terrorists control
00:12:39everything. Now, the Pakistani
00:12:42armed forces and Pakistan's law enforcement
00:12:46agencies have fought
00:12:49this war
00:12:56and patriotism. And in this,
00:13:00but sir, what was the fault of PTI in dealing with this war
00:13:03on terror? What is the fault of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government? Their
00:13:08that
00:13:11this war against terrorism
00:13:14that the armed forces and law enforcement agencies
00:13:18have sacrificed for,
00:13:21and the intelligence-based operations against terrorists,
00:13:55the police do not even have their own police stations. There
00:13:58is no existence of CTD. And then the provincial government
00:14:02has not only in these
00:14:07for the last one and a half years, when
00:14:11this
00:14:14with India and Afghanistan,
00:14:18when this phase two started,
00:14:22and now I
00:14:25cannot wage a conventional war with Pakistan, and the other is out of the question. So
00:14:29now they have changed their strategy and started
00:14:32this phase two. So since
00:14:36then, almost April-May
00:14:382025, when
00:14:41it started increasing,
00:14:45and training camps in Afghanistan
00:14:49were fully established,
00:14:52and the training of terrorists and then
00:14:56terrorist activities started entering Pakistan,
00:14:59the provincial government, the PTI provincial government,
00:15:03has never supported
00:15:06our national stance against these terrorists.
00:15:09They have never stood with it.
00:15:12Instead, they have always been saying
00:15:16that they are against this operation.
00:15:19But the Chief Minister himself doesn't fight, his police
00:15:23fight. So his police were sacrificing their lives, but the police were
00:15:27sacrificing their lives in such a way that they had neither
00:15:31weapons nor
00:15:35safe buildings. And when they were told
00:15:38for this purpose to spend the funds
00:15:42that were being given to them by the center on this,
00:15:46there was no positive
00:15:49response. And now the Chief Minister
00:15:53and before him, they say
00:15:57that this is not their job. They say that
00:16:00establishing peace and fighting against terrorism
00:16:03is not their job. They say that they did not become Chief Minister
00:16:08for this purpose. I was elected
00:16:11Chief
00:16:13Minister
00:16:16for love. And he says that his
00:16:19agenda is only the release
00:16:22of Imran Khan, so he has nothing to do with this. Viewers, let's take
00:16:26a short break. We will be back to continue our discussion with Rana
00:16:30Sanaullah Sahib. Stay with
00:16:31us.
00:16:49The ambassador of Pakistan, the voice of your emotions,
00:17:04far from home, the voice of the homeland and your identity.
00:18:49Welcome back to the Jirga. Sir, PTI is the most
00:18:53popular party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
00:18:56This government was formed with a clear majority. What do you expect
00:19:00from its removal?
00:19:04that democracy is
00:19:08a means of gaining power
00:19:11peacefully. And in this, the acquisition
00:19:15of power and then the transfer of power happens peacefully.
00:19:18And the importance of the opposition
00:19:21is kept,
00:19:25and the basic reason for following
00:19:28these principles
00:19:32it is a means
00:19:34of acquiring power and transferring
00:19:38power. But when people say that
00:19:42look, there is a two-thirds majority,
00:19:45a 90% majority, tell me, the population of KP
00:19:49is over four crore. The number of voters
00:19:52is two crore 13 lakh. Out
00:19:56of these, how many voted in this election, as a result
00:20:00of which this assembly is said to have two-thirds and
00:20:03this is a total of 82 lakh.
00:20:0782 lakh votes were cast.
00:20:1041%. Rana Sahib, similarly, if the Punjab government
00:20:14is doing well,
00:20:17no, I said the same thing earlier. It's the same
00:20:21everywhere. That's why no democratically elected
00:20:24person can claim
00:20:28that now because 100% of the people are with me,
00:20:32whatever I do, I am not accountable to anyone. Now, 82 lakh votes
00:20:36were cast, out of which 36 lakh went
00:20:39to PTI, and 51
00:20:42lakh went to their opponents, which includes Jamaat-e-Islami,
00:20:46which includes JUI, which is almost 10 lakh.
00:20:50In this, PML-N got six lakh votes, PPP got votes,
00:20:53independent candidates got almost 10 lakh votes.
00:20:56So the matter is that
00:21:00that by presenting this majority,
00:21:04you will say that they can do whatever they want, and no one
00:21:07will question them, because they have achieved a majority.
00:21:11This is how majority is. Jamaat-e-Islami,
00:21:14ANP, the most affected
00:21:18by terrorism,
00:21:26are opposing on the basis
00:21:29that a misconception has been spread
00:21:32and is being spread
00:21:35another operation will start,
00:21:39and people will be displaced again,
00:21:43rendered homeless, and a great
00:21:46calamity will befall the people. Nothing of that sort will happen.
00:22:12And as a result, Inshallah, the area
00:22:15that will be cleared, whether it is done district-wise
00:22:19or five by five.
00:22:50that you, in the war of terrorism and aggression
00:22:54that is imposed on Pakistan, should clearly
00:22:57and unequivocally state
00:23:01that you, Mr. Chief Minister,
00:23:04and your leadership, will hold a press conference
00:23:08and also sign a written agreement that you
00:23:12will fully stand
00:23:15by Pakistan's position on this policy.
00:23:18And after
00:23:21that, you should call off the long march.
00:23:25Leave those things. That day was
00:23:29probably the night between Saturday
00:23:32and Sunday. It was Sunday. So they said that on Tuesday,
00:23:36your meetings will start. Your lawyers probably
00:23:40have a time on Tuesday, they will meet. After that, on Thursday,
00:23:43the family will meet. The matter has only
00:23:47gone wrong from here. Don't come
00:23:50out and politically use
00:23:54it. He said, "Okay, after that, he
00:23:58said for treatment that his treatment is not this,
00:24:01all this is before Maulana's intervention, right?
00:24:05I say that even after Maulana, he remained here.
00:24:09When Maulana came, he was also told
00:24:13that Maulana, we had this conversation with him.
00:24:17He agreed to this. We agreed to all
00:24:20his meetings and treatment. Then we also agreed
00:24:24with him that we will form a political committee,
00:24:28or we will get this committee confirmed
00:24:31by the Prime Minister. Whatever small issues you have,
00:24:35whether it's about meetings or treatment, we will sit
00:24:39in this committee and resolve it. The draft was prepared,
00:24:44and then read out. Mohsin Naqvi Sahib
00:24:47went and said that he would discuss it with Sahib and Prime Minister
00:24:51Sahib and get their approval. When he came
00:24:54back, he brought up four more points, saying that no,
00:24:58write this here, write that there. We
00:25:01somehow accommodated that as well. Then he said
00:25:05that this operation, for which you are asking
00:25:09us to fully support,
00:25:12write in it that this operation will only happen if
00:25:16we agree to it, otherwise not. What happened with Maulana yesterday?
00:25:20The same thing was discussed with him that in the war
00:25:23against terrorism, the provincial government
00:25:27should play its role. They should call
00:25:30off the long march. Their demands,
00:25:33whether it's about treatment or meetings,
00:25:37all these things were agreed upon with them.
00:25:41So let's come back to that and take the conversation forward. Did you not
00:25:45increase the threat of a long march even more? Now people
00:25:49will be more charged, more angry. So don't
00:25:53you think that they will now attack
00:25:56Islamabad with more intensity? When they started from Lakki Marwat,
00:26:00their chowk.
00:26:08So what was their number there? You should find out from your
00:26:11sources. I am telling you with full confidence
00:26:14that it was six to eight thousand. I am even exaggerating.
00:26:18After that, wherever they came,
00:26:21they held a rally. The same six, seven, six,
00:26:27leave after that, and only
00:26:31500 to a thousand people are left with them.
00:26:33And their number has not increased anywhere beyond
00:26:37that. And if they bring
00:26:40such a long march, then I think
00:26:43that they will unnecessarily
00:26:47do injustice to their workers,
00:26:51and people will have to face such a legal action. Before
00:26:54this, on November 26, 2024,
00:26:58they did not even ask about any of their workers later.
00:27:02Thank you very much, Mr. Rana Sanaullah Khan Sahib, for giving
00:27:06us your time. Viewers, with the hope that you will continue
00:27:09to share your feedback about the program, I bid farewell

00:30:32will have to bear the consequences. Taking action against terrorists
00:30:35is in Afghanistan's own interest. Ishaq Dar said that
00:30:39Pakistan's objective is the complete elimination of terrorism, including
00:30:42its root causes. Pakistan has emerged as a net security
00:30:46provider in the region, and today Pakistan is known
00:30:50as a peacemaker globally. Pakistan's efforts
00:30:53for peace in the region are not hidden
