00:00:00power can afford some travel, but I would say that
00:00:04most of this is actually related to
00:00:07cheap flights. I think that's a big
00:00:11motivation for many to travel outside of Croatia. If those flights
00:00:14cost a couple of hundred euros instead of a couple of tens of euros, then I believe it would
00:00:18be a different story, a significantly different story, absolutely
00:00:21for sure. We will, of course, follow all these topics further. Tihana, thank

00:05:07overall health with Dr. Home Motionsizer. We present
00:05:11a revolutionary device designed to reduce swelling,
00:05:14relieve pain, revitalize your feet and legs,
00:05:17and improve circulation, all with a pleasant massage
00:05:21whenever and wherever you want. As soon as you turn it on, you will feel how
00:05:25Motionsizer relaxes, massages, and restores strength to your
00:05:28legs. Motionsizer is the only device on the market that combines
00:05:31continuous movement with high-speed oscillations and thermal
00:05:35therapy, providing instant relief to your feet and legs
00:05:39all the way to your hips. Motionsizer acts as a
00:05:42walking stimulator; your legs are constantly moving while your
00:05:45joints, knees, and ankles compress. Take advantage of all
00:05:49the health benefits of movement without actually leaving
00:05:52your chair. High-speed oscillations provide thousands
00:05:56of deeply penetrating vibrations, which stimulates muscle contraction and relaxation,
00:05:59improves blood and lymph circulation, reduces stress, and
00:06:03relieves pain. And last, but not least,
00:06:06Motionsizer uses thermal therapy to warm your
00:06:09muscles. Applying heat to an inflamed area widens blood
00:06:13vessels, promotes blood flow, and helps sore and tight muscles
00:06:17to relax. Thermal therapy is an excellent method for reducing
00:06:20joint stiffness, reducing pain and inflammation, and relieving
00:06:24muscle cramps. If you suffer from aches and cramps, if your

00:07:38to your viewers. Um, so, one of
00:07:41the biggest. spy affairs in the last few decades, some
00:07:45might say, perhaps even a century, but it is unlikely
00:07:48to be bigger than the one that led to the dismissal
00:07:52of the German chancellor, now more than fifty
00:07:56years ago, but again,
00:07:59I repeat, one of the biggest spy affairs in
00:08:02Germany. m, August Henning, the man who
00:08:05led the BND for seven years, the most important, most significant
00:08:09German intelligence service, has been arrested
00:08:12and accused of high treason. What
00:08:15happened, what is it about, and where do all the branches of this
00:08:18story lead?
00:08:22Well, the branches lead in various directions, as far as can be judged, this has not yet, of course, been
00:08:25officially confirmed because the investigation is still in progress,
00:08:29but there are certain indications that
00:08:32the branches are spreading across different countries, and in some
00:08:36countries that are officially considered here in Germany by the German
00:08:40executive power, among other things. either as a
00:08:43competitor, a rival, or even a systemic
00:08:47opponent, countries like, for example, China or
00:08:50Azerbaijan, these are two potential instigators, meaning intelligence
00:08:54services or agencies from these countries who,
00:08:57as the indications suggest, were probably
00:09:00the instigators of August Huning in obtaining certain
00:09:03information, and preparing certain analyses. The man who was at
00:09:07the head of the BND (Bundesnachrichtendienst), the most important German
00:09:10intelligence service, from '98 to 2005. This service
00:09:14operates abroad, not within
00:09:17Germany. It appears that, in all likelihood, within
00:09:20at least 10 to 12 years, he acquired more than
00:09:24200 documents from
00:09:27the BND marked confidential, strictly confidential, or
00:09:30state secret, in cooperation with
00:09:33his associate, Manfred D. The
00:09:37information he obtained in this way, which was for internal
00:09:40use, he apparently used as a
00:09:43private individual. He worked as a private individual, prepared
00:09:46these analyses as a private individual, for his
00:09:49own account, and apparently distributed them to
00:09:52third countries. Uh, one of
00:09:56the things that also found its way to
00:09:59the public, which is perhaps an additional reason for concern when it comes to
00:10:02German institutions, is
00:10:05that this activity of his and this whole story
00:10:08were discovered by chance as part of another investigation, not because
00:10:12they specifically targeted the former head of the BND
00:10:16to
00:10:19Krva, it truly feels these days like one is in some
00:10:22kind of telenovela or a bad
00:10:26crime novel, a really bad crime novel, because when we see
00:10:29the circumstances of how it came about, you're right, it happened
00:10:33more or less by chance, let's say by chance rather
00:10:36than intentionally. It was an investigation in a completely different case, an investigation in which
00:10:40the services of the federal state of Hamburg were active. It was
00:10:43about a love drama, to put it
00:10:45simply, about a lady who was
00:10:49the heiress of a restaurant empire known primarily
00:10:52for its steaks. A chain
00:10:55of restaurants that offers steaks. This lady, a wealthy
00:10:58heiress, apparently had certain love problems with her
00:11:02husband. They divorced, and then the question of who would get
00:11:06custody of their two children became relevant. Apparently,
00:11:09the father got the right, and the mother was apparently very bitter
00:11:13and planned to kidnap her own
00:11:16children from her husband. And Henning was a private individual at that time, and among
00:11:20other things, he was one of the people she hired to..."
00:11:22Uh, as the
00:11:26indications say, and for what Henning himself is accused of, planning
00:11:30the kidnapping of their two children. Henning later
00:11:33denied this, but there are still very strong indications that his
00:11:37company, meaning his private entrepreneurial company,
00:11:41was also involved in attempts to defame that gentleman, meaning
00:11:44the father, so that the mother could obtain custody of
00:11:48those two children in court. Within the framework of that
00:11:49investigation,
00:11:52the authorities of the federal state of Hamburg raided
00:11:55his house. They searched his documents, his computers,
00:11:59and they accidentally found documents that were
00:12:02much more interesting than the ones they were looking for, and as it later
00:12:06turned out, this is precisely what led to this
00:12:09unique move, that the
00:12:12former head of the BND was arrested.
00:12:15He is currently in pre-trial detention and the investigating
00:12:19judge has ordered that he remain behind bars indefinitely. Is there
00:12:22any assessment, "unofficial or
00:12:26rough, to what extent the German
00:12:29intelligence system has actually been
00:12:31compromised by this?
00:12:34There is, it's clear from this very moment, at the latest from
00:12:38this moment, that it's more than compromised, because the biggest
00:12:42problem with this case is actually not the fact that August
00:12:45Huning, as the former head of the BND, obtained some
00:12:49documents and then actually passed those documents on to some
00:12:53third countries that benefited from it in some way. So, among other things, it was about
00:12:56information about the state of the Russian
00:13:00military or the Iranian nuclear program, meaning very
00:13:03sensitive information for which someone was certainly prepared to
00:13:07pay a substantial fee.
00:13:10The problem is that it is, of course, an embarrassment, nothing less than
00:13:14a big embarrassment for the German intelligence system, precisely
00:13:17at a time when the BND under the current leadership
00:13:20of Martin Eger is trying to recover from numerous reputational
00:13:24blows in recent years. So, that embarrassment is exacerbated
00:13:28by the fact that a few years ago there was another case from the BND, one
00:13:31of their intelligence officers leaked information, apparently
00:13:35to Russian intelligence services, and it is precisely in these days, months, that before
00:13:39a Berlin court that case is being untangled,
00:13:42an attempt is being made to find out the extent of that
00:13:45case, the extent of the guilt of that
00:13:48intelligence officer. Besides embarrassment, much more important for
00:13:52all of us actually in Europe, not only in Germany but in the European Union,
00:13:56is the fact that this case further
00:14:00undermines trust in the BND as a key
00:14:03security agency in Europe. I remind you that
00:14:07it is a service responsible for cooperation abroad
00:14:10and for activities abroad. Among other things, it is, for example, the counterpart
00:14:14of the American CIA. As such, the agency is, of course, responsible for
00:14:18cooperation, for cooperation with similar agencies in other
00:14:21countries, partner countries for information exchange.
00:14:25"Among other things, for example, regarding the prevention
00:14:28of possible terrorist attacks. In a situation like this, trust
00:14:32in the BND is lost. Some
00:14:35other services in friendly countries might think twice
00:14:38about whether they will share confidential information
00:14:42related to possible terrorist activities, uh,
00:14:45the situation in Russia, in Iran, in China, or some other
00:14:49countries, so to speak, with German services, with German
00:14:53colleagues from the BND, when they are not sure whether that
00:14:56information will remain confidential within
00:14:59the BND's structures tomorrow, or whether it might be released
00:15:03to some third countries, precisely those countries that are concerned about that information.
00:15:07Yes, uh, the question was there before, of course, but now it's quite
00:15:10clear that it's a problem for allied services as
00:15:14well, not just for the German service, that their
00:15:17agents might also be compromised. Uh,
00:15:20another topic that is perhaps somehow related
00:15:23to this and to German
00:15:25institutions,
00:15:28the new, or relatively new, British Prime Minister
00:15:31confirmed yesterday that he had received
00:15:35confirmation from his intelligence services that Russia did
00:15:38indeed influence that infamous Brexit referendum, because
00:15:42of which the United Kingdom ultimately left
00:15:46the European Union. Uh, we can now
00:15:49perhaps connect this with another uh event from
00:15:52two days ago. Ukraine reportedly hit several
00:15:56facilities in Russia that were apparently
00:16:00so-called troll farms, and a drop in traffic
00:16:03was observed, a drop in support, a drop in discussion about
00:16:06, for example, Alternative for Germany in Germany
00:16:09in the last two days, their activity on social
00:16:12networks, liking statuses, and so on
00:16:16and so forth. Now, uh, this Andy Brinham
00:16:19says this is important information for our
00:16:23allies, our friends in Germany and France, who
00:16:26are having elections soon, and where some
00:16:30political changes are expected. Uh, is this
00:16:33all that I have mentioned a topic in Germany?
00:16:36The attack on Russian troll farms leads to
00:16:39concrete and very visible political
00:16:43consequences, or consequences for political
00:16:45communication, as well as this warning that came from
00:16:48London. It is current, of course, because it is not actually
00:16:52anything new, these are just some new indications, it is a matter that has been
00:16:56continuously developing over the past years. I remind you that a few
00:16:59years ago there was a big story here in the European Union and here in Germany
00:17:02about the possible activity
00:17:05of such troll farms that were located in North
00:17:09Macedonia and influenced the outcome, or rather, the activities
00:17:13of the pre-election period in the United States of America.
00:17:16Uh, the ties between AfD and Russia are no
00:17:19novelty. There are documented
00:17:22analyses and reports, among other things, in the German press for
00:17:26years, that there are direct financial flows
00:17:30and, to put it mildly, support
00:17:33between Russia, or rather, Russian agencies, and even high-ranking
00:17:37state institutions, among others, the AfD in Germany,
00:17:40but also some other parties in the European Union, or rather,
00:17:44in Europe. You just mentioned Brexit, or the departure of the United Kingdom. At that time,
00:17:48the United Kingdom was still in the European Union, whose
00:17:52goal was, of course, to put it simply, to weaken the European Union.
00:17:55Germany has long been perhaps the first
00:17:59to be targeted, so to speak, because Germany
00:18:02is defined as the largest country of the European Union, as the largest
00:18:06economy, and... the calculation is quite
00:18:09clear, just like in the times of the Cold
00:18:12War. If someone succeeds, of course, in quotation marks,
00:18:16that's how it's interpreted, to bring down Germany, then it will be easy to bring down all
00:18:19other countries of the European Union. Germany is particularly
00:18:23interesting in this context because it provides the greatest
00:18:26assistance to Ukrainians in Europe,
00:18:30military. Of course, in that context, we should also recall
00:18:34the very recent incident in Leipzig at the airport
00:18:38when the authorities discovered a Russian
00:18:41drone, or rather, drones, near planes that were delivering aid
00:18:45to Ukraine. So, the whole series of activities that leads to the fact
00:18:49that the authorities in Berlin, or the federal government, have long actually claimed
00:18:52that Germany is in some kind of uh
00:18:56conflict, or rather, targeted, among other things, by
00:19:00Russia. Intelligence services are, of course, working in all directions.
00:19:04European and American intelligence services are certainly working in the opposite
00:19:07direction, just as Russian services are working in this direction. This is exactly what
00:19:11an old good
00:19:15example reminds us of, to illustrate how far it can go. You mentioned it very
00:19:18briefly in the announcement, but let's explain it to the viewers, because it's very
00:19:21interesting and actually shows the extent of how far it can go.
00:19:25The biggest spy affair in German post-war history
00:19:29is not this one with Henning and the BND, but with Willy
00:19:32Brandt. That was an affair that actually led, as you said, to Willy's resignation
00:19:36or withdrawal from his position as German Chancellor.
00:19:40Why did he leave? Because he took political responsibility
00:19:42in 1974
00:19:45for the uncovering of
00:19:49the Stasi spy Günter Guillaume, who was
00:19:52practically his personal assistant in the Chancellor's office in Bonn.
00:19:56Guillaume worked in the Chancellor's office from
00:19:591972 until he was uncovered in 1974.
00:20:03He was a close associate of Willy Brandt,
00:20:06but his handler was the
00:20:09Stasi, the East German, practically secret
00:20:13police. Yes, there's no shortage of such affairs
00:20:16in Germany. We'll see how this one ultimately ends
00:20:20and in what direction it will go. Just for the end, one last
00:20:23question about Russia and Germany and how
00:20:27high and how far these
00:20:29ties go, and when it comes to former German
00:20:33chancellors, Gerhard Schröder was happily
00:20:36celebrating with... Vladimir Putin. That's a scene
00:20:39that, of course, went around all of Germany, all of Europe. That's nothing
00:20:43new. We know that Schröder was also on the supervisory board of Gazprom, and
00:20:47we know that this connection is extremely strong. "And
00:20:50we know how the current German Chancellor Friedrich Merz reacted
00:20:54to it.
00:20:57Well, he wasn't happy, let's say that. The Germans
00:21:00actually, when we look at it and the reactions to this latest
00:21:03scene, meaning a cheerful Schröder with
00:21:07maybe a little less cheerful, but uh, he certainly
00:21:10wasn't displeased that Schröder was in Vladimir Putin's company celebrating their
00:21:14birthday precisely at a time when Russian missiles
00:21:18are practically killing tens of thousands of Ukrainian
00:21:21civilians again. A difficult image to bear, especially for people in
00:21:25Germany who have advocated for a peaceful resolution
00:21:28to that conflict in recent years, or at least some
00:21:32kind of freezing of that conflict so that civilians on
00:21:35both sides do not suffer, to stop the killing and those horrific attacks,
00:21:39especially on the civilian population. The question of
00:21:43Schröder and his relationship with Russia and his activities
00:21:46is a long-running saga that has been going on practically since the day after
00:21:50he left the Chancellor's office. One should not, of course,
00:21:53forget the fact that as a former Chancellor, he is still
00:21:56uh, financed by German
00:21:59taxpayers. As a former Chancellor, he still receives
00:22:03certain compensations, let's say, which are not
00:22:06that small. On the other hand, he earns
00:22:09well from Russia,
00:22:13he receives money, of course, from Moscow for his activities, especially in
00:22:16the energy sector, and here he is actually called
00:22:20Vladimir Putin's most important lobbyist. Many would not
00:22:24perhaps mind it so much if
00:22:27Schröder, with such good connections and access to Vladimir
00:22:30Putin, did not use that influence in a productive
00:22:34way and in some way, whatever that may be,
00:22:37influenced Vladimir Putin to, among other things,
00:22:41stop killing civilians. Yes,
00:22:44we will, of course, follow all that further. We will see, in the rest
00:22:47of our show soon, what is happening between Ukraine and currently
00:22:51with, of course, mediation or without mediation
00:22:54from the US. Srećko, thank you anyway for being our guest this
00:22:58morning. Thanks for the invitation.
00:23:10And we'll see what's happening in the economy,
00:23:14or rather, today in the e-consultation, the rulebook on
00:23:17anchor prices is also going. It will last less
00:23:20than 30 days because it needs to be implemented as
00:23:24announced by November 17th. So we will know, among other things,
00:23:28who is exempt from anchor prices. We are now
00:23:31going to our Ivan Hrstić.
00:23:34Ivan, uh, we were already supposed to start with
00:23:38those famous anchor prices. Some entrepreneurs, some
00:23:42restaurateurs, some artisans have already included
00:23:45those anchor prices in their price lists, then the minister
00:23:49suddenly gave up, but actually says, we didn't give up, we just
00:23:52postponed it briefly. What is
00:23:55happening and what can
00:23:56be expected?
00:24:01Yes, many gloated when the minister abandoned that date,
00:24:05but the gloating was short-lived, because soon it became
00:24:09clear that it was only a minor delay to restart
00:24:12everything again in November.
00:24:16It is clear, therefore, that anchor prices will continue,
00:24:20that there is no giving up,
00:24:23eventually it seems that some will be spared,
00:24:27who exactly, we will find out only when
00:24:31that rulebook is published, when it finally
00:24:34appears on the e-consultation portal.
00:24:37Then we will know who are those who received some
00:24:40kind of pardon. It is speculated that it could be
00:24:44those who perform intellectual services,
00:24:47lawyers, perhaps... some other
00:24:50public services, all those who are actually already
00:24:54under the scrutiny of regulators, or whose regulator
00:24:58determines the maximum price, so it would perhaps make less sense
00:25:02for them anyway, and it would be more difficult
00:25:05to implement. However, many others will not be
00:25:09spared. Furthermore, the ministry, or rather the government,
00:25:12is convinced that citizens will benefit from it, that they can
00:25:16clearly see what the price was before, how much is it now so that...
00:25:20they know how much something has increased in price, maybe in the hope that
00:25:24it will lead to traders
00:25:26being reluctant
00:25:30to increase prices, how realistic is that, how
00:25:33not, of course we have already heard many objections
00:25:37from associations that gather those
00:25:40who are affected by it, who have received a very
00:25:44large administrative task of dealing with all
00:25:47that, introducing new software, which is not
00:25:50cheap either, so they complain that new
00:25:54tasks are being added to them that they should not
00:25:58even be dealing with, if nothing else, that should perhaps be the
00:26:01job of the state. In their opinion, in
00:26:05the extreme case if it really has to be that way, but the
00:26:08ministry responds that they have indeed
00:26:12done a lot to ease
00:26:15administrative tasks for entrepreneurs, they list how many
00:26:18hundreds of millions have eased the burden, but of course
00:26:22that is some kind of protest
00:26:25that that does not mean that the money
00:26:28that the state has in a way given up
00:26:32does not go exactly from the backs of those who have
00:26:35the greatest administrative burden in introducing
00:26:38these anchored prices. As for us citizens, we would probably
00:26:42like those anchored prices to have been there from the beginning, maybe the prices
00:26:46today would be much lower, now all
00:26:50psychological barriers have been
00:26:53broken and the question for
00:26:57let's say six months, what will that particular date
00:27:00in... in history mean to us, perhaps there should be some, some
00:27:04inter-anchored price 30 days ago so that we could
00:27:07see what the actual passing speed
00:27:10of the growth of those prices is, we hope that it will all
00:27:13slow down, but everything depends of course on fuel prices also
00:27:17on the international market which are actually the main
00:27:20culprit for the increase in prices at this moment
00:27:24or for the re-acceleration of inflation. Croatian citizens are primarily
00:27:28interested in lower prices. in any possible
00:27:32way and of course they are less
00:27:35interested in something that could be PR
00:27:38of this or that side. Soon we expect to see what
00:27:42it is about and to see the first reactions
00:27:45of entrepreneurs, craftsmen, all those who believe that they are affected
00:27:48or harmed by it. Yes,
00:28:28has been agreed on the energy infrastructure between Ukraine and
00:28:32Moscow, but there are no official confirmations from Kyiv and
00:28:36Moscow. Ukrainian President Zelensky caught live,
00:28:39we are in Kyiv.
