00:12:41regarding UPI prohibits banks and

00:12:48like UPI and RuPay debit cards. But when this bill becomes law,
00:12:51the government will get the right to remove this prohibition. This will allow the government to decide
00:12:55which electronic payment methods will not be charged
00:12:59and on which MDR can be applied.
00:13:02Actually, until now, any decision regarding MDR was made by law,
00:13:06but now the government can make a decision by issuing a notification.
00:13:09After that, the biggest question that will come to your mind
00:13:12is whether buying goods with UPI payments
00:13:15will become expensive. So there are two answers to this.
00:13:19First, the MDR will not be automatically applied as soon as the bill becomes law.
00:13:22The law will give the government the right to decide when and
00:13:26how to start MDR. Second, if MDR
00:13:29is implemented in the future, it is highly likely that a special transaction limit
00:13:33may be set for it. According to several reports
00:13:36that are coming out now, this limit could be 2000 rupees.
