00:00:01expected from both sides and of course to reach a comprehensive
00:00:04agreement that shouldn't break like all
00:00:06others? well, I think
00:00:10both sides, but particularly Trump, have to wine back the
00:00:14rhetoric about annihilation and
00:00:18of huge attacks and everything else, because I don't think Trump is going to do those again
00:00:21anyway, so there are somewhat pointless way
00:00:25of undermining trust. I do think the straight of humans needs to be
00:00:29open. to traffic and that needs to be done
00:00:32in a secure way, no firing on ships by Iran
00:00:35a genuine effort to
00:00:39demilitarize the straight of homos perhaps
00:00:42and an effort on both sides to really pull back
00:00:46of from blocking trade, mean that trade is vital for
00:00:50the world, it's about 20% of all energy trade at
00:00:54the moment, as i said earlier,
00:00:57of it's a diminishing. for
00:01:01Iran, they could
00:01:02of overplay it if they're not careful and really
00:01:05of drive everyone into finding
00:01:07of alternative roots and then they've really got no leverage at
00:01:11all, but I think if they don't pull back from that it's going
00:01:14to be very difficult to maintain
00:01:15of a deal, because it will make Trump look very weak,
00:01:19make the United States look impotent if they are not
00:01:23able to defend ships going through them, and if
00:01:26ships can't move
00:01:29in freely. out massive insurance costs which they're currently facing
00:01:33because
00:01:33of the uncertain
00:01:36of situation right?
00:01:38of earlier you were talking about US mid-term elections and you were
00:01:43of particularly talking about the possibility of republicans being
00:01:46wiped out, but you know as I do that these
00:01:50races are essentially individual races
00:01:54and from judging by the numbers that we are looking
00:01:57of at, not presidents but Republicans, we can
00:02:01see that they might
00:02:03of actually maintain hold
00:02:04of the senate, but
00:02:05me might actually lose
00:02:06of the house, but
00:02:07of they already have raiser thin majority. Now we can keep
00:02:11assuming, but if that kind of
00:02:15of situation happens, I don't think that people will turn against the
00:02:18of president, and then what do you think,
00:02:21in republicans seem to be really afraid of president
00:02:25Trump's
00:02:26of base, that is one very important thing, the second part when... you
00:02:30talk about the situation, do you think in coming
00:02:33days these pressures can yield enough
00:02:37results that president Trump actually shrugs
00:02:40off and walks away, withdraws without
00:02:44any evident
00:02:46victory? um, I
00:02:50think uh, if the
00:02:54a Republicans face what is called a blue wave, which is major
00:02:58democratic victories, for example, them taking both
00:03:01the senate and the house, both which
00:03:05possible, it may less likely in the case
00:03:08of the senate, almost certain in the case
00:03:10of the house, but if there's a really significant swing against
00:03:14the Republicans, that's going to make them all feel
00:03:16of vulnerable,
00:03:17and I think they will blame Trump for that.
00:03:20It's also the case that
00:03:22of the
00:03:24a Trump hold over the mager kind of
00:03:28core constituency that he's had for the past decade or
00:03:31so, that may be loosening partially
00:03:34of because they're very upset by number of things, one is the rise and
00:03:38prices in the United States, when Trump claimed he would
00:03:42deal with inflation, he just hasn't, and then secondly getting into a war
00:03:46in the Middle East, which again, the maga base
00:03:50really opposed the idea of more wars in the Middle East for the
00:03:53of United of States, so I think his hold over them has weakened, we'll see
00:03:57in the uh uh in the mid terms, whether they just
00:04:01of stay at home and they don't vote for Republicans
00:04:05have and devastating
00:04:05that effect could in in many areas. you're right in
00:04:09saying that American elections are somewhat rigged, it's
00:04:13rare that there's an enormous turnover in the house or
00:04:17senate, because the power of incumbancy there is very
00:04:20significant and it's very hard to overcome that
00:04:24as a challenger, but major swing,
00:04:28major win. uh and major vote essentially
00:04:32against Trump, which is what mid-term elections are always seen as
00:04:36a poll on the
00:04:39of presidency uh that could be seriously weakening for him,
00:04:43so I think there is some possibility of him just sort of pulling
00:04:46up and leaving, but um he might well do
00:04:50that, he has in the past been known to just abandon policies when they went
00:04:54wrong, claim victory and move on, and
00:04:58in many cases his supporters... been willing to go along with
00:05:02that, but I think that only
00:05:03me works if we then see oil prices really come down, because
00:05:07that's towards driving significant inflation in the United States at the
00:05:11moment. Right, thank you very much, Mr. Robert
00:05:15Templer, political analyst joining us from London, we really appreciate your time and we hope
00:05:19you will join us soon again in another
00:05:21program. Hafi, coming
00:05:25to you, if you look at the relationship between US and Iran, nearly
00:05:29half a century, it has been marred by you, sanctions,
00:05:32military pressures, isolation, so how do you look at
00:05:36the fresh diplomatic efforts, are we going to go towards a break through finally
00:05:40or is it going to go in win? yeah, your your question has an
00:05:44enhantendent trap, because every time you ask
00:05:48me whether I see hope or not, I end up actually betting on
00:05:51hope and in the end the things fall apart and then I
00:05:55actually you know end up looking as scans,
00:05:58but to to be honest I would still believe in
00:06:02that that candle of hope even if it is a candle in the
00:06:06pint, I think that they are very important stakeholders
00:06:10who are trying to bring both sides together. "I think
00:06:13that one the worst players is rile is
00:06:17almost out the game for now because the own elections
00:06:21and their stakes are very high, so if the Arab
00:06:25countries do want to actually put a trashher
00:06:29and Pakistan, Turkey and others,
00:06:32perhaps there is a possible that you have some kind of deal, the
00:06:35only problem is when you look at straight of foremost, you
00:06:39don't know how to actually find a win win. on one side
00:06:43of course is the question that Iran says that we are going to
00:06:47charge money and similarly we are going to work with the man to
00:06:51actually find a way, then it also actually
00:06:54sabotages opening of any route that is
00:06:58closer to oman and that becomes a problem also
00:07:01and the US when it started off there was no
00:07:05toll, there was no tax and if you are going to
00:07:09allow that it doesn't actually look like a victory, so
00:07:13if somehow they can manage solution to a thing which
00:07:17was not even on the list when the war was
00:07:20started, if they can find the solution to that, then of
00:07:24course we are going to have lasting peace, right? fark, mr.
00:07:28templer pointed out something very pertinent, he said that diplomatic agreements take
00:07:31years,
00:07:32yeah,
00:07:37high level delegation, comprising the deputy prime
00:07:40minister and foreign minister. and the chief

00:08:37Arabia anchored in decades of mutual
00:08:40trust, cooperation, and
00:08:43brotherhood, although taking place against the backdrop
00:08:47of height and tensions in the Gulf, the visit
00:08:50will carry immense significance beyond the immediate
00:08:54crisis and short term considerations. It will
00:08:58further strengthen bilateral relations, deepen strategic
00:09:01cooperation, enhance coordination on regional
00:09:05and international issues of mutual interest and also
00:09:09reinforce multilateral cooperation.

00:09:17brotherly countries in our sincere efforts to resolve the crisis
00:09:21in the Gulf and the Middle East, especially with respect to the
00:09:25stand off in the state of Holemos. As
00:09:28littoral state, overlooking state of Hurmus and the
00:09:31Gulf, oman has, let me,
00:09:35let us add that Oman has consistently played a very constructive
00:09:39role in promoting regional peace and stability. "Pakistan
00:09:43acknowledges and deeply appreciates Oman's valuable contribution in its
00:09:47steadfast efforts to further to foster
00:09:50deescalation and peaceful coexistence.
00:09:54Pakistan will continue to actively pursue diplomatic engagements and
00:09:58support all sincere efforts aimed at
00:10:02achieving comprehensive just and lasting
00:10:05resolution to this conflict,
00:10:09and in the same way and in the context of our ongoing..."

00:15:15marking the fifth, the seventh anniversary of Indian
00:15:19illegal and unilateral action of 5th august
00:15:2320, 2019 in the
00:15:25indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan
00:15:28reaffirmed its unwaving support for the Kashmiri people's in
00:15:32alienable right to self determination in accordance with the
00:15:35relevant security. security council resolutions
00:15:39so with this ladies and gentlemen i conclude my opening remarks and open the
00:15:43floor for question
00:15:44answers.
00:15:54thanks so you have seen the reaction by
00:15:57the
00:16:02on going process of election.
00:16:06need your reaction. Yes, we
00:16:10have seen those those statements, Pakistan
00:16:14categorically rejects the baseless and politic politically
00:16:17motivated remarks by the Indian Ministry for Ministry of
00:16:21External Affairs regarding the ongoing legislative assembly
00:16:24elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. It
00:16:28is unsurprising that India has chosen to issue
00:16:32such remarks on the eve the seventh anniversary of its
00:16:36illegal and elections of 5th august, through which it
00:16:40sold, it seeks to alter the internationally
00:16:44recognized disputed status of Jammu and
00:16:47Kashmir, these statements, those actions
00:16:51were a fragrance violation the relevant security council resolutions,
00:16:55international law and India's own international
00:16:58commitments. the elections in in to the
00:17:0213th legislative assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are
00:17:06being conducted a peaceful, transparent and orderly manner, in accordance
00:17:10with the constitutional and legal framework of governing the
00:17:14AJK, they reflect demograph,
00:17:17democratic aspirations and political will the people
00:17:21of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. India has neither the legal
00:17:25standing nor the moral authority to comment
00:17:29to comment on democratic process in AJK
00:17:32while it continues to deny the people of Indian
00:17:35illegally oc Kashmir, the fundamental
00:17:39political rights and democratic freedom, let
00:17:43add that no amount of misinformation
00:17:46or or propaganda can alter the legal and historical reality that Jammu
00:17:50and Kashmir remains and internationally recognized disputed
00:17:53territory and its final disposition is to be determined in accordance
00:17:57with the relevant United Nations Security Council
00:18:00Resolutions as well as the freely expressed will the
00:18:04Kashmiri people through the UN administered.
00:18:07India's attempt to invoke misleading
00:18:11casualty figures cannot obscure its own well documented
00:18:15record of serious and systematic human rights
00:18:18violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and
00:18:21Kashmir, these includes and are well documented
00:18:25including extra judicial killings, arbitrary detentions,
00:18:29enforced disappearances, effective punishment and
00:18:32restriction of fundamental freedoms and more
00:18:36significantly.
00:18:37the alter the demographic composition in the
00:18:39occupied occupied territories in
00:18:43contravention to the international law, so such statements are clearly intended
00:18:47to deflect international attention from the India's
00:18:50continued violation of international human human rights
00:18:54and humanitarian law as as well as its
00:18:58persistent failure to fulfill international
00:19:01obligations. Pakistan would therefore reiterate its call
00:19:05on India to reverse the illegal actions. create
00:19:09an environment conducive to peaceful settlement the issue of
00:19:12Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with the
00:19:16relevant UN security council
00:19:18resolutions.
00:19:30I wanted to ask Pakistan has had any official contact or
00:19:34engagement with Bangladesh since yesterday's. address
00:19:38that was there the ex and there were some
00:19:42comments made about pakistan have we had
00:19:45any industion with that or are
00:19:48we still considering it an internal issue for
00:19:50Bangladesh well of course
00:19:54our diplomatic engagement with Bangladesh continues so they
00:19:58are not they are not bound by one single event
00:20:02the or bound or constrained by one single event so I'm sure
00:20:06the diplomat. engagement between the two
00:20:09sides through normal diplomatic channels in dhaka
00:20:12and Islamabad are continuing and we are aware
00:20:16the developments, particularly with reference
00:20:20to the event yesterday,
00:20:24we we do not interfere in internal affairs of
00:20:28other countries and as such we do not have any common to
00:20:31offer, the fact that this statement was made from
00:20:35India is matter between those two countries,
00:20:39Bangladesh and India. Let add that
00:20:42people of Bangladesh are fully capable to resolve their
00:20:46issues independently without external interference.
00:20:50we respect their sovereign choices and will continue to
00:20:54cooperate with them in the journey towards progress
00:20:58and
00:20:58prosperity.
00:21:09thank you so much spoke person the Indian ministry
00:21:13spokes person has usually
00:21:17rejected these comments made by the.
00:21:32Yes, we saw the statement issued this
00:21:35morning by the Indian
00:21:39MMA, we categorically reject the statements and
00:21:42it's self
00:21:44serving ulogy of India's illegal actions of 5th August
00:21:482019, the Indian leader. has been expressing this self
00:21:52serving uology of India's
00:21:55actions, no unilateral action by India, nor any amount
00:21:59of rhetoric can alter the internationally recognized disputed status
00:22:03of Jammu and Kashmir or deny the people of
00:22:06Jammu and Kashmir,
00:22:09the their inimal right under international law and relevant
00:22:12un security council resolution, the reality in Indian illegally
00:22:16occupied Jammu and Kashmir is that that prolong
00:22:20and heavy military presence, coupled
00:22:24with draconian laws continue to facilitate
00:22:27demographic change aimed at altering the territory of
00:22:31muslim major, the territories muslim majority
00:22:34character, at the same time systemic
00:22:38efforts persist to suppress the voices of kashmiri people and
00:22:42erase their distinct identity, the claims
00:22:45of so called development cannot substitute for the inaliable
00:22:49right? the people of Jammu and Kashmir to determine their own
00:22:53future through a free and impartial pliset under the auspices the united
00:22:57nations in in accordance with the UN security council
00:23:00resolutions
00:23:05the so we remain unwaving in our support for the just struggle people of Jammu and Kashmir and we call upon India to
00:23:08reverse its illegal and unilateral measures and its
00:23:12human rights violation and engage in the peaceful resolution of
00:23:16Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with the relevant UN Security.
00:23:50Arabia from August 6th to 8th. During his visit

00:25:06A very warm welcome to Pakistan TV, we should have
00:25:10clarity when we are going on air with something with facts
00:25:14etc. Both live an easy neighborhood
00:25:18to work straight away by
00:25:20working, they have
00:25:24very successfully transformed PTV world into
00:25:27part do lot and we've seen that
00:25:30in in other countries as also an opportunity
00:25:34to deliberately is the most serious the state
00:25:38channels and very late it should have been to walk into Pakistan
00:25:41television and see the world class infrastructure to
00:25:45see world class people and to see the quality of work that
00:25:49is going on I call the term AI
00:25:53and just
00:25:54recently,
00:25:58I'm very proud that Pakistan TV is being quoted in international mainstream.
00:26:02media, I hope that we will be able to make huge impact in the future as
00:26:06well and we will become this region's number one channel.
00:26:09Pakistan
00:26:29has been working with China. also been working with
00:26:33Saudi Arabia and other countries, we still
00:26:36have naval officer involved
00:26:40in such activity, we can say we have a decreased scale of
00:26:44direct confrontation rather than decent
00:26:47seesfire in lebanon. The stature of China
00:26:51on the international and global spire is has
00:26:55become more prominent. President Trump has domestic
00:26:59and important mandate that he believes China can be a part. in achievement, he is
00:27:03looking at the midterm, he is looking at his current presidency, we should do the
00:27:07road shows across in the region and all that to fish this product
00:27:11that now we are ready for the business. pakistan is very
00:27:14responsible, mature, nuclear country
00:27:18with very profession and
00:27:20better.
00:27:32from the heart of South Asia to the cross roads of central Asia, from the turbulent middle
00:27:36east and North Africa to the power corridors the west. Iran
00:27:40has successfully demonstrated its
00:27:43ability not just to negotiate its
00:27:47term, but also to negotiate on
00:27:51each term for that amount of time that
00:27:55Tehran considers as strategically equivalent.
00:27:59article three the NATO treaty is all about
00:28:02defense and that's been a sore point between the United States of
00:28:06America and the other NATO allies since the foundation
00:28:10the the alliance, so what's happening now is burden
00:28:13sharing is going evolve to burden shifting, Amit
00:28:17Shah, he is the one who is running the extortion,
00:28:21assassination and all these plots sitting a
00:28:24government office, being a minister of India, America knows
00:28:28it, Canada knows it.
00:28:41Before the whistle blows, before the final bell, there is the
00:28:44conversation, it's a language understood by every
00:28:48stadium on every street corner, it's a moment your
00:28:51heartbeats with million others, it's
00:28:55a roar of crowd, the silence of
00:28:58anticipation, it's a triumful cry of a
00:29:01champion. It's more than a game, it's a
00:29:05connection,
00:29:11speaks to the
00:29:12world,
00:29:18in the last two days, however, we've seen a change in target sets, this now
00:29:22includes bridges, this now includes port
00:29:25facilities, clear message and clear remark that
00:29:29Pakistan is the strong regional player. is a
00:29:33peacemaker? yes, of course there are signs, there are signs that
00:29:37the two sides are trying to come each other are
00:29:41trying to settle the differences. people who were de-listed
00:29:44were in Muslim majority districts of
00:29:48west bengal, these are new style of Jerry Mandering that was
00:29:52taking
00:29:52place.
