00:00:00so now I see that it's not only the political leadership
00:00:04in khebar will take ownership of this war, the
00:00:07federal political
00:00:09in establishment will definitely not only just
00:00:13leave
00:00:13it to the provincial government or the provincial new administration, they will
00:00:17go
00:00:18a together and as I said earlier to fight against terrorism you have to
00:00:23of combine all the three major element and that is one is the people, other is the
00:00:26government and the third is the security forces now if ' one
00:00:30of of these three lengths is missing, if you even if you take the
00:00:34people out of it, even then you can't fight for this war
00:00:38against the terrorism, the same is for the government, so I think
00:00:42this time I am pretty sure that we need to have
00:00:46realized what was liking in our fight against
00:00:48terrorism, why we failed to control
00:00:52the the advancement of terrorist networks in
00:00:55of various areas, no doubt Afghanistan, they are using Afghanistan, the supply
00:00:59line from Afghanistan, however the major I think
00:01:03set back which I was personally witnessing was the lake
00:01:07of cohesio united narrative across the
00:01:11board, everybody need to understand there is whether it is the
00:01:15TTP,
00:01:15of whether it is the BLA, whether is the half is Gul Bahadur group, either
00:01:18of these groups are, they are enemies
00:01:21of the state, unfortunately there were voices within the
00:01:24political elite who were not very clear
00:01:28about it and their own confusion was causing confusion within
00:01:32the
00:01:32of people, so I think if we are political leadership across the
00:01:36board, whether the federal, whether is the provincial, whether is the district
00:01:40level, we are con convince ourself first that
00:01:44yes, they are the enemies
00:01:45of the state and we need to fight them, so I think then these political
00:01:49leaders can easily
00:01:50of convince the people, they can take the people on their side and they can
00:01:54have, then we can have, I think a whole
00:01:57of the nation approach, a multipronged approach. then we
00:02:00of will have no problem in the narrative making, then we will have no
00:02:04problem in finding out in searching out the sympathizers, the
00:02:08high doubts
00:02:09of these terrorist networks in various villages and cities. rightly mentioned, rightly
00:02:13mentioned, hasan khan, thank you so much for joining in views at seven and sharing your views with us,
00:02:17we were joined by Mr. Hasan khan who's security analyst and we were discussing about the current
00:02:21situation in Khair Pakhtunkhah, the current counter
00:02:23of terrorism operations by all security forces, to discuss about that, we
00:02:27are having brigadier Hasan Nawaz, Haris Nawaz and as well, brigades sab,
00:02:31considering the current situation in KP and the counter terrorism
00:02:34operations, bio security forces, to what extent can the intelligence let
00:02:38policing and the stronger local intelligence networks
00:02:41in required to reduce Pakistan's reliance on the reactive security operations, because we have seen
00:02:45that up till now we are having reactive security operations, not the proactive one,
00:02:49not the ones through which we are well prepared
00:02:53before any action happen, my
00:02:56of the most important thing is that we must follow
00:03:00revise 14 points of national action, it covers
00:03:04everything, if we activate nectar, think a
00:03:08very professional over there and now if we
00:03:11reactivate it and it works properly then all problem
00:03:15to be solved because the isi and MI, then special
00:03:19branch all provincial intelligency special
00:03:22branch all they are going to come and get information
00:03:26there it is collades then they are going to pass it out centrally.
00:03:30so that is going to be have very good fact in doing conducting operation,
00:03:34along with that, you see the problem is we haven't done
00:03:37madrasa reforms are not done, then police reform,
00:03:41judicial reform, that's very very important, you see
00:03:4432000 madras are in pakistan and only
00:03:481600 registered and 1600 not registered, we don't know
00:03:52what agenda they are following, who is giving your funding, what muslag they are doing
00:03:56it, what
00:03:57are the aim and objective,
00:03:58what is cell by? you can well imagine and that is a problem we
00:04:02are having in that need to be done along with for information you see the
00:04:06of problem is we must employed at least two
00:04:10300 young girls and boys who are fully qualified information
00:04:14technology they must be hired to create a
00:04:18counter narrative of PTH social media and then they
00:04:21have their own narrative to build on and pass to the social
00:04:25media and other places what s is doing
00:04:30why they are doing, how many they have been successful, who
00:04:32is doing a negative propaganda, we have to
00:04:34of counter Indian
00:04:37of propaganda, this one taliban
00:04:38regime propaganda and p social media, so these young boy should be
00:04:42countering those things, that is very important because basically information
00:04:46was there, and the more we have social network
00:04:50and narrative, counter narrative we will be very successful,
00:04:54of that's very important, brigader harvas, you have
00:04:57mentioned that madrassa reforms are required there.
00:05:00there are a lot of governance loop holes which we have seen especially in
00:05:03KP and now the governor's rule is
00:05:07of imposed there given the current situation and continuing threat in
00:05:10kp uh Right now, what measurable indicators should
00:05:14Pakistan use to assess the whether its counter terrorism strategy is
00:05:17developing lasting security rather than simply recording the militan skilled
00:05:21in operations or what needs to be done in this regard especially during
00:05:25this governor's rule because we have seen the the
00:05:29priority of it was due to the lack of governance
00:05:32there, the lack of security there, the security challenges there,
00:05:36so what needs to be done in this regard while prioritizing what need
00:05:40what the current rule will do for the people there,
00:05:43what should be the priority when it comes to the intelligence based operations
00:05:47or security, you know national security policy,
00:05:51especially with regards to kp? i think the first the
00:05:55most important good governance, because the people must
00:05:59develop confidence into the new system, in the governor
00:06:02rules, emergency, they should feel a
00:06:05might much much better difference
00:06:09that they should be able to see how the health care is being. done
00:06:13education, law and situation improved along with that there
00:06:17should be a best of coordination between the federal government, kpk
00:06:21government and security forces and of course the core commander who is
00:06:24already in present in 11 for peshawar so that people should
00:06:28know now there is a positive force, there is a coordinated
00:06:32effort, there is no lack pulling, they are all focusing on one
00:06:35thing, we have to eliminate terrorism from KPK and
00:06:39Blut, that should no leak form
00:06:42response all focus how to improve the capacity of a
00:06:46law enforcing agency like police, see counter
00:06:50terrorism, fc and our military
00:06:54forces, so if they are doing successful operation with one or
00:06:58two months, rest assure people will start
00:07:01supporting these operations, pata area will support
00:07:05totally to the to arm forces and security forces, then
00:07:09the job will be made much but easy along with this will improve
00:07:13if we improve the capacity building of police
00:07:17and so all these things done, i can assure you
00:07:20that people you forget pti and all the whatever the it
00:07:24happened, they want peaceful kpk, they have suffered
00:07:27lot our pushtoon, sisters, brothers, elder,
00:07:31children, they have suffered lot and they need to be know these all
00:07:35things
00:07:35need to be readdressed, if those is done, rest assure,
00:07:39we going to be peaceful and they will develop confidence.
00:07:43and intelligent operation will very very successful all right,
00:07:46all right, well taken, thank you so much for joining in views at
00:07:50seven, we were joined by defense analyst brigadier retired Haris Niwas to
00:07:54discuss about the current condition, the security and law and balance
00:07:58situation in Khair Pakhtunkhaan and Balochistan, the intelligence based
00:08:02operations, the intensification of intelligence based operations bio security
00:08:06forces there and especially the governor rule that has been imposed in
00:08:09khibar pakhtunkhah, so now moving forward towards miles in
00:08:13Europe where streets are echoing with the slogans
00:08:17for justice in Gaza, as thousands of pro Pa palestinian
00:08:20demonstrators took the streets of London, Berlin and other
00:08:24European cities on October 10 demanding the end of Israeli attacks
00:08:28on Gaza and stronger international action against Israel. The
00:08:31demonstrations came three years after October 7,
00:08:342023. Hamas let attack on Israel and the
00:08:38subsequent Israeli military offensive in Gaza. Protesters
00:08:42called. for you now the stop and
00:08:45of stopping of this these kind of atrocities by Israeli forces
00:08:49and called for sanctions and arm embargo, while concerns
00:08:53over the civilian casualities and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza
00:08:57remain unresolved, although sess fire to effect
00:09:01on October 2025, but Gaza's health ministry reported that
00:09:05Israeli strikes at killed
00:09:081450 Palestinians since the seas fire begin the
00:09:12demonstration. nations highlight the growing public pressure on the European governments
00:09:15to reconsider the policies towards Israel and the
00:09:19stronger action, the stronger mayors are required to
00:09:23protect the Palestinian civilians. To discuss about that, we
00:09:27are joined by or guest, Mr. Inr Tengen,
00:09:31Mr. Inr. Mr. Inr is a senior fellow at center
00:09:35for international governance innovation and he is a chairman of Asia narratives
00:09:39in our welcome to program views at seven. What is the scale of? pro-palestinian
00:09:43demonstration across European cities reveal about the changing
00:09:47public opinion on Israeli military campaign in Ghaza and why have the
00:09:50protests
00:09:52you know continued despired the cease fire as we all
00:09:56know that there was a cease fire and the violations related to it but what does this
00:09:59indicate about the gap between the diplomatic agreements and the
00:10:03realities on the ground? well
00:10:07you pointed out since the seasfire uh over 1400 people have
00:10:11been killed. uh murdered uh, you see a daily
00:10:15barrage of um video showing
00:10:18um, not only the atrocities that are
00:10:21happening in in the in Gaza, but also in the West bank as
00:10:25settlers continue to attack and
00:10:28disposses Palestinian families,
00:10:32especially during very very sensitive time, which is the olive
00:10:35harvesting period, literally the brutality is
00:10:39ongoing, this is a world of social
00:10:43media, and by frankly what has happened is people have woken
00:10:47up to the fact that all these promises made by Israel are
00:10:50empty, they continue to try to push
00:10:54Palestinians. out their homeland on the
00:10:57pretext
00:10:58that this is about security when it's simply about
00:11:01apartide attempt to create a
00:11:04genocide. so it are how effective
00:11:07could the economic sanctions and arm embargo be influencing
00:11:11Israely military policy? would it be effective or
00:11:14not? it could be effective if
00:11:17it was unified. israel is a state that depends
00:11:21its trade, especially outgoing, it supplies a lot. of
00:11:25military intelligence and also uh military
00:11:28equipment outside if countries stopped buying it. the
00:11:32Israely economy would literally collapse. already they
00:11:36have so many men in the field to some disaffected
00:11:40by the efforts uh not the efforts uh the crimes that are
00:11:44being committed. so it is very important that the world
00:11:48come together and not only uh you
00:11:51confront but also uh take action. uh
00:11:55against uh what Israel is doing? well
00:11:59taken, well taken to discuss about that, we are joined by Mr. Oliver
00:12:03Blaral, he is European geopolitical analyst and public policy
00:12:06expert. Mr. Oliver, welcome to program views at seven, as
00:12:10we are just discussing about the current international protests in favor
00:12:14of Gaza to highlight the atrocities by the Israeli military
00:12:18there. If we talk about Germany only, Germany has historically
00:12:22maintained a strong support for Israel because of... its responsibility for
00:12:26the hokas so how is the ghaza conflict changing the
00:12:29debate over the Germany's historical responsibility and it's
00:12:33present day foreign policy when it comes to Gaza when it comes to
00:12:37Palestinian issue? thank you for having me on
00:12:41the program first evening um well when it comes to
00:12:45Germany the it's a specific case because of as you said the
00:12:48the holocaus and and the responsibility that Germany has
00:12:52had um so the Germans. state has
00:12:55balancing two different principles which are guidelining
00:12:59its foreign policy, on one side you have the reason of
00:13:02state which tries to highlight and to share
00:13:06and to be responsible when it comes to the holocaust and its
00:13:10responsibility, on the other
00:13:12side, the respect and the
00:13:16abidance to international law, human rights
00:13:19and international treaties is also
00:13:23fundamental point, in
00:13:27Germany's foreign policy and so these two come in contradiction when it
00:13:30comes to the handling of Israel's gaza, the
00:13:34war in Gaza, so this is the
00:13:38what the the the government is facing, especially now it's really
00:13:42doing the opposite of what is it people want, there is a
00:13:46growing support for a stoppage of action
00:13:50and support, that means delivery of military
00:13:53equipment to... the Israeli government
00:13:57while the government has
00:14:00increased its support, so you have
00:14:03imbalance between the two, a
00:14:05growing disapproval of
00:14:08support, and on the other side and increase in government
00:14:12support. all right, all right, so what legal and political
00:14:15obstacles prevent European governments from adopting a unified approach
00:14:19towards
00:14:19Israel?
00:14:23well, the thing is that the... European Union has is
00:14:27union on several topics, but not on every one
00:14:31them. When it comes to its regime on exports, so military
00:14:35equipment export, that's a national
00:14:38level playing field, so all these European
00:14:42states compete in actually
00:14:45exporting military equipment, and that's
00:14:49case with Israel as well, so there is
00:14:52no way, there is no... possibility
00:14:55for the the the the
00:14:57the the European institutions which are over the
00:15:01states to implement any
00:15:05sort of reduction
00:15:08or ban on military equipment and the other aspect is for
00:15:12instance since political and diplomatic support,
00:15:16well the European Union as well needs
00:15:19unanimity to act on foreign
00:15:23policy and there are... states which which
00:15:26among them
00:15:28Germany
00:15:32check republic uh which are stunch supporters
00:15:36of the the Israel can put
00:15:39veto, while other states are already started to have diplomatic
00:15:43under, individually
00:15:45uh started to criticize a very sharp
00:15:49way, that is Ireland, Spain and some others are
00:15:53joining in, Slovenia, so there is starting to be divide within
00:15:56Europe, but no action is taken because there is no
00:16:00consensus, and Europe worked on
00:16:03consensus. All right, all right, well taken, moving forward towards you
00:16:06in our... what extent can a public demonstration
00:16:10you know influence government decisions on arm export, trade relations and the
00:16:13diplomatic engagements with Israel and how should the european
00:16:17governments balance the freedom of expression and peaceful protest with the need
00:16:21to prevent anticmentism, hate speech and public
00:16:25disorder there. okay,
00:16:28so I've heard my colleague, but there is no excuse for a morally
00:16:32bankrupt group of individuals, especially when they're separated
00:16:36between the elite. 'who govern them, and the people who feel
00:16:40very strongly that this is wrong. I don't think it takes
00:16:43much looking, watching to
00:16:47understand what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank,
00:16:51clothing in it, oh, this is impossible and things like that. Well,
00:16:55what does the European Union stand for? The ones who always say there
00:16:59should be a rule of law, the democracy, that
00:17:02human rights matter, and yet a blatant
00:17:06violation to which they'. contributing, as my colleague
00:17:09pointed out, by fiing to sell things to
00:17:12Israel, the completely, as I said, morally
00:17:16bankrupt, and that goes in terms of how they should be
00:17:19handling people once again, you show a very sharp divide
00:17:23between the elites who govern, who talk
00:17:27about these policies and say how difficult it is, the fact
00:17:31that the people that they represent do not agree with
00:17:34them, and they should have a voice and being able to... say that, but what we
00:17:38do we have? have for instance, it's not the part of
00:17:42Europe per say, but you have in England, a government which says,
00:17:46oh, what's happening in Israel is terrible, but if you pr protest
00:17:50against it, we will arrest you if you have a placard that we don't
00:17:54like, so there's a real skism
00:17:57within Europe, it's not only morally, it's
00:18:00also - financially,
00:18:04economically, unfortunately we're seeing the uh demise
00:18:08of a group of nations who prospered based
00:18:12on their ability to colonize other countries
00:18:16and take what they had, and now they find themselves a
00:18:19position where they grow at very slow pace
00:18:23and they're not even able to do the right thing when it's
00:18:27something that they say they care about. well
00:18:30taken, well taken
00:18:31so Oliver with the Palestinian civilian casualities continuing despite the seas
00:18:35fire, what mechanisms are we? able to ensure the accountability under
00:18:39international humanitarian law, what needs to be done, because we have seen the
00:18:43international community raising voice for the Palestinian people, but what comes under
00:18:47international humanitarian raw when one side, when party
00:18:51is continuing violating the seesfire, what are the options
00:18:54available, what needs to be done in this
00:18:56regard? well, there is
00:19:00unfortunately very little, because international law depends
00:19:03on the its abidance by states and as long as states don't...
00:19:07by it, well there, we have seen that international law is difficult
00:19:11implement, what is being done in
00:19:14in in in
00:19:17Ga in also in the west bank is tandam out to
00:19:20criminal criminal acts
00:19:24and and big serious ones and
00:19:27aggravated by the fact that they're being repeated and the fact
00:19:31that the international justice court and
00:19:34tribunal have all
00:19:39mean have had the have stated
00:19:43that these are actually crimes and that nothing has been done,
00:19:47that states have not stopped those have not
00:19:50stopped
00:19:53officials from Israel who travel abroad, well
00:19:57shows very well that there is very little that the
00:20:01states can do one that there can be do done on the
00:20:05judicial aspect when it comes to...
00:20:10your point is well taken oliver, thank you so much for joining in views at seven and
00:20:13sharing your views with us, we were joined by Mr. Oliver Blaral, he is a
00:20:17European geopolitical analyst and public policy expert and then I
00:20:21want your brief remarks in our if considering the current
00:20:25situation in Europe, if public pressure continue to grow, but European
00:20:28policies remain largely unchanged, so what does this reveal about the limit of
00:20:32democratic accountability and the public opinion in shaping the foreign policies
00:20:36especially? with regards to European
00:20:38countries
00:20:42that the parties that are saying let's get these
00:20:44out wars and be more um isolationist
00:20:48and of course - also ones that are associated with new nazi
00:20:52parties and anti-semitism. anti-semitism isn't
00:20:56the answer, anti-sianism, yes, because scientism represents an
00:21:00active evil which is perpetrating the the crimes that
00:21:04we we agree are happening, but unfortunately it
00:21:08all gets thrown into the wash. you have AFD, you have
00:21:11Lepen, you have all these groups who are preaching hatred.
00:21:15this is not a solution, but when you start pushing
00:21:19people being on their ability to understand why their
00:21:23leaders are not taking action, it results in
00:21:27more problems. the only solution at this point
00:21:31is for the political, the
00:21:34apparatus voters vote for something saying.
00:21:38right now we have a situation around the world where the fringes
00:21:42are deciding what happens in countries, not the main part the
00:21:46people, some of it is because of apathy, some feel that...
00:21:50'you nothing gets done and they've been cheated by their own apparatus, their own
00:21:54democracy, things like that, but it's not people
00:21:58failing democracy, it's democracy failing people, the elites who they
00:22:02elect do not take care
00:22:05the real issues affecting their own
00:22:09people, and it's it's befudling to me why this would
00:22:13even be issue, if you
00:22:14want to stay in power
00:22:15and you're a politician, it would seem logical to take care of your
00:22:18constituents'. but instead of that, once they get into the bubble
00:22:22their various capitals, all they can think about is
00:22:26getting more power or uh trying to uh enrich
00:22:30themselves. we see this in the United States and we see instances of it
00:22:34throughout Europe, the scandals etc. it's time for
00:22:38that to go away, to have much sainer view these things, to see the
00:22:41nuances: Jews are not bad, those who
00:22:45commit crimes in the name of zientism are
00:22:48bad, but you have to make... distinction, so going
00:22:51forward, we need to take a more rational, informed view of
00:22:55what is happening and make sure that we do not let hatred,
00:22:59rule what we do, otherwise we become the very monsters that
00:23:02we are trying to fight. all right, all right, welting, thank you so
00:23:06much for joining in views at seven and sharing your views with us,
00:23:09mr. he is a senior fellow at center for international governance and innovation
00:23:13and he is a chairperson of Asia narrative, that is it from tonight's views at
00:23:17seven, we have discussed about pakistan's frontline. against
00:23:21terrorism, the intensification of intelligence based operations and the
00:23:25governor's rule that has been imposed in KP, the require requirement
00:23:29and need of it with regards to the counter terrorism strategy and national security
00:23:32policy, and then we have discussed about the European streets that are
00:23:36equating with the slogans for the justice of
00:23:40people of Palestine,
00:23:41that is it, this is your host manureshi, signing of keep watching Pakistan
00:23:45TV.
00:24:11The next chapter of Bangladesh, there is no longer any
00:24:15blind approval for Israeli policy, because the Americans
00:24:19have. the american soldiers have died, hundreds have been injured and
00:24:23hurts, for what? for nothing. the
00:24:26military conflict came to draw.
00:24:30nobody won, neither side really wants to re-engage
00:24:33militarily, so it has evolved into
00:24:37economic conflict. as society we do stand a
00:24:41chance when it comes to platform accountability and specifically protecting our children
00:24:45online. the innocent people of Afghanistan are the biggest victim of
00:24:49this. application, they do not exist, let's be very frank, they
00:24:53do not exist in their mind, they do not exist in their
00:24:56policies,
00:25:10either it's reaching out to the customers, either the like
00:25:14building different assessments, all of that
00:25:17one assessment that used to take like a week now can be done in 10
00:25:21minutes and unfortunately I think there's a
00:25:25possibility that some of Modi's advisers
00:25:28are saying that is what India must do and therefore India has
00:25:32to look to the United States and Israel
00:25:34so many people say oh this month is crazy
00:25:37beautiful I want to check king so this year some front come here I
00:25:41actually got an email by the organizers the harders and business
00:25:45competition and the way the competition structured is that there was an
00:25:48initial online round open to anyone globally,
00:25:58it had the credibility of a strong nation, it had the credibility.
00:26:02of neutrality that both parties could trust, and above all
00:26:06Pakistan was and is legitimate partner for
00:26:10both these nations. I can make so many words with these
00:26:14stair, tear, tears,
00:26:17rates,
00:26:29you about about the Pakistani role, especially.
00:27:56from the heart of south asia to the cross roads of central Asia, from the turbulent middle
00:28:00east and north africa to the... corridors the west. I think
00:28:04that the proxy situation is very
00:28:07problematic uh for the
00:28:11US, for Israel, for Iran, the Gulf
00:28:15states, um, for the world at large. This
00:28:18conflict could expand, that's what Pakistan
00:28:22and Qatar are trying to prevent. Israel
00:28:26wants the land of Palestine without the Palestinian people.
00:28:29And that
00:28:30is why we see. the situation in
00:28:34Gaza being getting getting worse, field
00:28:38mar and
00:28:39Oman have have kept the channel open when nothing else was working, and that matters, and of course the
00:28:43cease fire came through Islamabad. Gender persecution is
00:28:47already a crime against humanity under the Rome statute,
00:28:51and the international criminal court has issued arrest warrants
00:28:55for the two top taliban leaders
00:28:57and who
00:29:00is the chief justice. I suspect that the Canadians are going
00:29:04to pressure on areas that will cause lot of
00:29:08discomfort to the Americans as they're coming into the midterm elections
00:29:12in November. Iran's declaration that it does not
00:29:16intend to produce a nuclear weapon is
00:29:19politically relevant, but declarations alone cannot
00:29:23resolve the security dilemma. Iran is always said it's prepared to
00:29:27continue the conflict, but it's clear that this preferences for this war to
00:29:31end. The US and the Trump.
00:29:32I think is the same, so there is alignment, but obviously the problem
00:29:36has been how we get
00:29:38there.
00:30:10Hello and welcome, you're watching Pakistan TV, I
