00:06:42Amid warnings from the Human Rights Commissioner about

00:08:04of at least 49 Syrians amid
00:08:07reports of torture and ill-treatment.
00:08:10This comes
00:08:12at a time when the UN Security Council renewed its call

00:09:05the need to respect its sovereignty, which enhances regional
00:09:09and international security and peace. The Permanent
00:09:13Representative of Syria to the United Nations, Ibrahim
00:09:16Al-Alabi, considered that the Security Council's step represents
00:09:20an affirmation of the validity of the agreement and respect for the mandate
00:09:23of the UN force, pointing out that Syrian
00:09:25diplomacy is working to mobilize the international community to pressure
00:09:29Tel Aviv and stop its incursions in southern
00:09:33Syria. Between humanitarian
00:09:36and human rights warnings and political
00:09:39and diplomatic positions, the challenge remains
00:09:43the most prominent in the Syrian file: translating international
00:09:47calls into practical steps that ensure the protection of civilians
00:09:51and stop in the region.
00:09:54For Palestine TV, Wala Sharqawi,
00:09:58Damascus.
00:10:02southern Syria, we are joined from our studios
00:10:05in Damascus by our office director Eyad Khalaf. Eyad, what are
00:10:09the latest developments regarding the continuation of Israeli
00:10:14southern
00:10:15Syria?
00:10:18Yes, greetings to you, colleague Duha, and to all Palestine
00:10:22TV viewers. Israeli incursions continue
00:10:26day after day, and the pace of these incursions increases
00:10:30in southern Syria. That is, day by day, there
00:10:33is an increase in incursions
00:10:38into Syrian territory.
00:10:42ago, Israeli incursions were limited
00:10:45to the southern and western countryside of
00:10:49Quneitra and Daraa governorates. There were also
00:10:53incursions reaching the Yarmouk
00:10:55Basin. That is, the maximum extent of Israeli incursions
00:10:59was south of Tal al-Ahmar towards
00:11:02the city of Quneitra. Now,
00:11:06Israeli incursions have cut through front
00:11:09lines towards the capital, Damascus,
00:11:13and have reached the western countryside of
00:11:16Damascus. Also, the western
00:11:19slopes of Mount Hermon, overlooking Damascus, now have
00:11:23an intense Israeli presence, specifically in the town of Arna
00:11:26and Dirbal. These towns, sorry, not
00:11:29cities, these towns directly overlook
00:11:33the Syrian capital, Damascus, or are close to
00:11:36the Syrian capital, Damascus, in addition to
00:11:39its incursion into the Bidjan area,
00:11:42which is rich in water. This is concerning
00:11:46its almost daily incursions. Of course, these
00:11:50incursions, Duha, are accompanied by attacks on civilians. That is,
00:11:53there are almost daily arrests of the residents
00:11:57of those villages. There is a ban on many
00:12:01farming and practicing their agricultural
00:12:05work. There is confiscation of sheep and livestock
00:12:08belonging to the residents of those villages. For those who do not know, the southern
00:12:12villages in Syria depend on agriculture
00:12:15and grazing for their livelihood. When agriculture
00:12:19and grazing are targeted in southern Syria, this means targeting
00:12:22the livelihoods of the residents of the southern regions
00:12:25in Syria. Of course, UNDOF forces are present
00:12:28in that area, the UN forces,
00:12:34They cannot move freely due to
00:12:37the entry of Israeli forces and the Israeli occupation
00:12:41into Syrian territory. This is what
00:12:44the UN Human Rights Council requested: that there
00:12:47be freedom of movement
00:12:51the southern Syrian region and that there be
00:12:54methods and ways to protect
00:12:58them in case of engagement with Israeli
00:13:01forces. Of course, many residents of the southern regions
00:13:04stage sit-ins from time to time in front of the UN
00:13:08building in the southern regions, specifically in Quneitra
00:13:11and Daraa, to demand UN intervention
00:13:14to stop arrests
00:13:18citizens in that area.
00:13:21The advanced position of the United Nations came in the Security
00:13:25Council, which called in its last
00:13:28session for the implementation of the 1974
00:13:30agreement
00:13:32and the return of the Israeli occupation to
00:13:36the 1974 agreement line. This
00:13:40agreement is in force at the United Nations, but
00:13:43the Israeli occupation did not give any weight to this agreement
00:13:47and violated it and entered deep
00:13:49into Syrian territory. Also worth mentioning is the Soufa
00:13:5354 road, which extends from Mount Hermon
00:13:57to the Yarmouk Basin, which is the connecting
00:14:00point between the Syrian and Jordanian borders,
00:14:05the occupied Syrian Golan. This is a crucial point
00:14:09where the Israeli occupation is constructing a military road
00:14:128 meters wide and approximately
00:14:16road will pose an obstacle
00:14:19to the residents of that area,
00:14:23lands will be confiscated and earthen berms will be built
00:14:27on both sides of the road, which will also
00:14:29contribute to the difficulty of life
00:14:33for citizens and Syrians in that area. This
00:14:37is roughly the scene in southern Syria until
00:14:40this moment, and these are the developments
00:14:43of the scene there. Our office director in Damascus, Eyad Khalaf,
00:14:46thank you very much. As for
00:14:49Lebanon, the Israeli aggression
00:14:53with continued raids and shelling, and casualties due to
00:14:57war remnants, amidst warnings of dangers
00:15:00threatening the lives of citizens.
00:15:03The Israeli escalation continues in southern Lebanon, with recorded
00:15:06raids and artillery shelling, and continued casualties due to the explosion of suspicious
00:15:10objects from war remnants. In the latest
00:15:13developments, an Israeli drone carried out a raid
00:15:16with a guided missile on the town of Kafr Bannet in the Nabatieh district,
00:15:20while artillery shelling targeted the town of Mansoura and its
00:15:23vicinity, and the valleys and Sribbin. It was also
00:15:27reported that machine gun bursts were fired towards Kafr Bannet
00:15:30and an interceptor missile exploded over the town of Khiam.
00:15:33In the series of aggression remnants, a qualified member of
00:15:36in Ain Ebel was martyred after a suspicious
00:15:40object exploded while he was of the town. This
00:15:44comes after a retired military officer from the Lebanese
00:15:47army was martyred in Yater after the occupation opened fire on him while
00:15:51he was inspecting his land, while the explosion of a suspicious object
00:15:55of a citizen and the injury of another. In this context, warnings are renewed
00:15:59against entering olive groves in Yater and Farwana before consulting
00:16:02the competent authorities for fear and mines. The security
00:16:06situation, especially in the south, was discussed by the President of
00:16:09the Republic, Joseph Aoun, with the Army Commander, Rudolf Hikel, who briefed
00:16:13him on the results of his visit to Cyprus. In Brussels,
00:16:16European Union foreign ministers are meeting today
00:16:19to approve the establishment of a European security and military mission
00:16:23to Lebanon, whose mission is to provide training and expertise to the Lebanese
00:16:26army and Lebanese security forces, without being a substitute
00:16:30for UNIFIL forces, amidst European affirmation of supporting
00:16:34the extension of the mandate of the UN Interim Force in southern
00:16:37Lebanon, with the approaching end of its mission at the end of this
00:16:40year, against the backdrop of the escalation with Israel. The fate of
00:16:44the anticipated military negotiation round in Florida on October
00:16:4820 remains unresolved, given the lack of a final
00:16:51confirmation of its convening, with any progress before the Israeli
00:16:54elections on the 27th of this month being ruled out.
00:16:58In a separate internal security file, attention is turning
00:17:01to the investigations into the case of the truck that was stopped
00:17:04in the Dahr al-Baydar area, heading from Bekaa to the greater
00:17:07Beirut area. It was carrying hundreds of kilograms
00:17:10of explosive materials. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam praised
00:17:14the security forces that stopped the truck, seized
00:17:17its cargo, and referred its drivers to the competent
00:17:20authorities for investigation. While Salam pointed out
00:17:23that the material "C4" was used in a number of politically
00:17:26motivated assassinations of ill repute in modern
00:17:30Lebanese history, he affirmed that the government will
00:17:34of the investigation and expanding it to identify
00:17:38all those involved in this criminal act and those behind
00:17:41them, and to uncover their plans and objectives
00:17:44and refer them all to justice to receive the punishment
00:17:47they deserve, stressing that his government
00:17:50will deal with the required firmness with any
00:17:53weapon outside the framework of legitimacy, whether in possession,
00:17:57transport, or use. Thus, the challenge for the Lebanese state
00:18:00remains twofold: countering Israeli aggression
00:18:04and confronting those who tamper and stability, while the
00:18:07country faces open risks on all
00:18:10fronts. Palestine TV, Hala Salameh,
00:18:14Beirut. To the
00:18:16headlines.
00:18:18Martyrs and wounded by occupation shelling and gunfire
00:18:22in several areas
00:18:23in the Gaza Strip.
00:18:29Occupation forces launch a wide arrest and invasion campaign in
00:18:32West Bank governorates, and settlers continue
00:18:35their crimes and attacks.
00:18:44Sheikh confirms the leadership's commitment to holding presidential
00:18:47and legislative elections.
00:18:56Narouj withdraws $661 million
00:18:59from five Israeli banks as part of an ethical
00:19:02review of its investments.
00:19:03Its volume
00:19:10continues to target the Negev regions, and the occupation
00:19:14demolishes 80 homes, displacing
00:19:17hundreds in the village
00:19:18of Dahiyyah awaiting recognition.
00:19:22End of bulletin. See you later.

00:23:02In 1936,
00:23:04he was exiled with some members of
00:23:08the Arab Higher Committee to Seychelles after
00:23:11the killing of General Andrew, Governor of the Galilee
00:23:14District. He then returned and headed the All-Palestine
00:23:17Government in 1948.
00:23:29Ahmed Hilmi Abdel Baqi passed away in
00:23:32Souk El Gharb, Lebanon, in June
00:23:351963.
00:23:42buried in
00:23:42Al-Haram Al-Qudsi.
00:24:36in the interior is fundamentally difficult to
00:24:39communicate with, but it is tiring, exhausting, and
00:24:43worrying for the writer.
00:26:27The street was one of the most beautiful
00:26:30streets in the Gaza Strip before the war. This
00:26:34was our street 60 years ago, it was
00:26:37only built during the Egyptian era, one
00:26:41lane of asphalt. We used to sit here, we
00:26:44Al-Jalaa Street has shops, and there are
00:26:47public spaces, and there are shops and malls.
00:26:50Al-Jalaa Street, they used to boast about it,
00:26:54this is my area, this is my life,
00:26:56this is my country, this is my street.
00:27:16Where is the Security Council that spoke about it?
00:27:19Where are those who said we everything? None of this is true.
00:27:23And the truce they are talking about doesn't exist. On the contrary,
00:27:26what I see is that there is no truce or anything. The escalation
00:27:30The number of martyrs is in the tens.
