00:01:46had showed incoming and then it tells you where the thing is supposed to
00:01:50land and so that
00:01:51of allows people to get ready, and all of sudden the missil start maneuvering, which was
00:01:55capability we didn't know Iran had, and that was causing real problems for the
00:01:58Americans even. respond to them, can you tell us anything about what kind of
00:02:02missiles he's talking about,
00:02:04and should we be worried? oh, we definitely should be very
00:02:08of worried, I'm surprised these guys have only figured this out now, I
00:02:13of of mean, I, I've been talking about this for
00:02:15of months, I
00:02:17a even I'm not prepared for this at the moment, but next time I'm

00:03:00supposedly have access to all this classified information, and

00:03:07of the uh satellite imagery, the US has been
00:03:09of trying to block this stuff, but uh there's still some satellite companies that are putting this stuff
00:03:13out there, these are evidences
00:03:15of the specific targets that the Iranian side has been
00:03:18having,
00:03:19this is these are all American uh bases that you see on the
00:03:22in screen here that have pinpoint target, so they every time they shooted
00:03:26something they hit it, oh yeah I think...
00:03:30"what we now know about the
00:03:34Iranian missiles is is that first of all the
00:03:39of using the Chinese
00:03:42bedu
00:03:44of navigation system, it's it's sort of a version
00:03:48of the American GPS system, but it
00:03:52can't be jammed.
00:03:54In other words, there's no way to
00:03:56of stop them from getting the navigation signals."

00:04:35of their trajectory, so their location gets
00:04:38of more and more refined. now when they reach the top
00:04:42of the atmosphere, which for our purposes
00:04:46or or is the altitude at which
00:04:49aerodynamics plays some role,
00:04:52that's well below 100
00:04:54me kilometers,
00:04:55of so but let's say it's 100 kilometers
00:04:58and they know
00:05:02the their position to about
00:05:06one meter of acuracy in three dimensions
00:05:09one one meter and three dimensions.
00:05:13and they have um they have
00:05:17accelerometers on on these devices that
00:05:21can measure the acceleration that
00:05:25is not due to that is due to atmospheric
00:05:28reentry and also due to the rocket
00:05:32motor that they turn on on the vehicle so
00:05:36so the the precision i was just looking
00:05:39this up last week buse the commercial available, they called
00:05:43mems, microelectronic,
00:05:47mechanical sensors, and they're tiny things, the
00:05:51what when the drones are flying, they have them on them,
00:05:55and they're ubiquitous, they're all over the place, so you just
00:05:59buy them, highly
00:06:00precise, and very,
00:06:04very, very conservative estimate
00:06:07is the the
00:06:10inaccuracies from the...
00:06:12mems uh introduced during reentry process
00:06:16is maybe few meters, wow, few meters.
00:06:20now there's what's called the control problem, you're
00:06:24trying to control the orientation the warhead, and
00:06:27every small movement out of what you really would like to
00:06:31get causes you to maneuver, and
00:06:35so I would say that they probably have few tens
00:06:39of meters of accuracy at the target. which
00:06:43is very good, especially when you're delivering a
00:06:46warhead, the warhead, I'll show
00:06:50you, yeah, delivers the equivalent of about a
00:06:544,000 or 5,000 pound explosive at the
00:06:57target, that's an enormous explosive
00:07:01charge, and most the power of that
00:07:04explosive of that explosion comes from the kinetic
00:07:08energy of impact, in other words, this thing hits the ground so fast,
00:07:13that it just vaporizes,
00:07:16it's much, it's well
00:07:19beyond, for example, it's traveling a speed well
00:07:23beyond that the oreshnic munitions,
00:07:26wow are hitting the ground at maybe 3 kilometers per
00:07:30second, this thing is hitting the ground at over 4 kilometers per
00:07:34second, now 3 kilometers per
00:07:37second gives you the equivalent kinetic
00:07:40energy of gives you the equivalent
00:07:44explosive energy the weight the
00:07:47munition in TNT, in other
00:07:50words, all of this, this is not explosion, explosion
00:07:54from explosive materials, it's an
00:07:58explosion from all of this kinetic energy
00:08:01being nearly instantaneously converted
00:08:05to kinetic energy
00:08:08from
00:08:11the piece of material. hits the ground gets compressed so fast by
00:08:15the interaction with the ground that it superheats to 500
00:08:196000 degrees kelvin temperature the sun
00:08:22surface and that expands violently
00:08:26outward like an explosion, it is an explosion.
00:08:29now when it hits at 4 kilometers per
00:08:32second, that's four kilometers divid by
00:08:363 kilometers per second, so it's maybe say it's one and a half or
00:08:401.6 - you square that
00:08:44and that gives you the rough equivalent energy and tnt of
00:08:47hitting the ground a little bit over 4 kilometers per second, which is
00:08:51about two and a half when you do the arithmetic
00:08:54carefully, so the weight the
00:08:57warhead is a thousand kilogram, so it's say
00:09:01it's 2 pounds, you get a
00:09:04factor, so 20 lbs of just
00:09:08non explosive material compressed.
00:09:13turned into kinetic energy into an explosion by kinetic
00:09:17energy impact, so that brings you up to 5,000 pounds
00:09:21of explosive power, plus you have a couple
00:09:25of thousand pounds of explosive material in the warhead, so
00:09:28this thing has the power of a 5000 or 600
00:09:32pound explosive when it hits the ground, and it does
00:09:36tremendous damage, and I can show you some the evidence for
00:09:40this, Let's just look at
00:09:43slide um two, this is the missile itself,
00:09:47it's the alphata, and if you look to the right the
00:09:51missile where you can see the warhead itself, you see a
00:09:54winged vehicle uh that has
00:09:58very very low drag, so it comes into the
00:10:01atmosphere, it experiences
00:10:04very minimal aerodynamic drag, and
00:10:08if we look at slide four,
00:10:11slide.
00:10:12let's go, there we go, you can see that in the back of this warhead it
00:10:16has rocket motor, see the rocket motor was in the
00:10:19forefront, and that rocket motor is
00:10:23able to generate... a couple of thousand pounds of
00:10:27thrust over time intervals of 30
00:10:31seconds, 40 seconds,
00:10:33you know, no problem at all, so so that's
00:10:37during the entire time of reentry. now if we go
00:10:40to slide six, we can actually
00:10:44see this is one these warheads arriving in
00:10:47Israel, that long bright
00:10:50plum, the front the you can't see the
00:10:54warhead, but that long bright
00:10:57plum is the rocket motor
00:11:00exhaust, so it is accelerating this
00:11:03warhead to enormous speeds
00:11:06and when that warhead hits the ground,
00:11:10it it delivers a tremendove,
00:11:14tremendous explosive force, you can see the whole sky
00:11:18is lit up from the light, that's the light generated by this
00:11:21enormously high temperatures in the...
00:11:55how much damage one these
00:11:58explosions can do, why don't we just go to slide

00:12:08there you go, now in the lower right of

00:12:13i have put in blast contours, this
00:12:17is washington dc, the building in the
00:12:20middle is
00:12:24is big massive concrete and steel
00:12:27building and to the right is a
00:12:30neighborhood that's immediately adjacent to just regular
00:12:34buildings. now the inner circle,
00:12:37innermost the four circles
00:12:41shows you the 40 pound per square
00:12:43inch blast
00:12:46range, the limit of it. all those
00:12:50buildings in that circle will just be simply knocked
00:12:54to the ground. 'the buildings will
00:12:56be knocked to the ground, that's how intense the blast wave
00:12:59will be, in the next outer ring,
00:13:03the buildings will be extremely severely damaged, some them will
00:13:07be knocked the ground, in the further ring, the
00:13:11five pound per square inch ring, any building that's
00:13:15wood frame or brick that's not reinforced will also be knocked to
00:13:19the ground, and then the two pound per square inch one at the
00:13:23outer circle would would' would knock
00:13:26in the interior walls, might not
00:13:30knock down the buildings at the two pound per square inch point, but the
00:13:34interior walls of all inside the buildings
00:13:38will be knocked out by the blast wave that's propagating through the
00:13:41building, so this one warhead would
00:13:44essentially eliminate this block of
00:13:48buildings. remember the term blockbuster from
00:13:52World War II, this is a block,
00:13:56now if we go to
00:13:57the next slide just to make it clear
00:14:01what the effects of multiple warheads would
00:14:03be. all this
00:14:06shows is, i've just amplified the first
00:14:09slide by putting three detation
00:14:13areas down, and the one to the
00:14:17left, which assume goes through the roof
00:14:21the library of congress.
00:14:25essentially destroy the whole library of congress, because if it
00:14:29penetrates into the building, the shock wave will tend to be
00:14:33contained, and the blast wave will be so intense around
00:14:37that 40 pound per square inch point that all the internal
00:14:40structure will be destroyed at that point, other areas the
00:14:44structure farther away will be severely damaged, so
00:14:48it'l look, it it'll look like the
00:14:51building, the mirror building in,
00:14:55Oklahoma City, if if the warhead went through the
00:14:58roof, it would look like the damage that was
00:15:02done to the building in in in in Oklahoma City by
00:15:06the 1000 pound bomb or 15 thousand pound
00:15:10bomb that was detonated in the terrorist attack in
00:15:14Oklahoma City, this building would be gone for all
00:15:17purposes, the uh the third
00:15:21detonation point which is shown on on
00:15:25upper right would destroy that other block, so you'd have
00:15:29two blocks of regularly
00:15:32constructed housing destroyed, plus the entire
00:15:36library of congress. by this um these
00:15:40three postulated warheads hitting at those aim points.
00:15:43now think of tel aviv being subjected to
00:15:47this. can you imagine the damage in Tel Aviv? because this has been
00:15:51going a little while, not every warhead hitting Tel
00:15:55Aviv is one these, here you
00:15:58go, you're really quick, Gary, but this
00:16:02is the kind of damage that would be done into the in the
00:16:06interior - the
00:16:08of library of congress from this war head that I
00:16:11postulated hitting the library of congress, so
00:16:15these are very severe levels of
00:16:18damage, and this is what's been going on in in Tel
00:16:22Aviv, and the Israelis have
00:16:24been censoring
00:16:28the information from these
00:16:31attacks, but I can see why
00:16:34Netanyahu was telling Trump at one point that he's more
00:16:38worried about the missiles than he is about
00:16:42nuclear weapon about the Iranian nuclear weapons, which which
00:16:46he's on record saying at various points,
00:16:49so so this is the kind of damage you would
00:16:52see, the shock wave would propagate into the building
00:16:56further, of course where the damage
00:17:00is done it would have would have destroyed and collapsed all the floors
00:17:04and this building is nothing you can't do with this building
00:17:08except tear it down, it's done,
00:17:11so this is the kind of damage we can
00:17:15expect as the war goes on in
00:17:19Tel Aviv and Haifa, if the Iranians start
00:17:23attacking with Tel Aviv and Ha with Alfat
00:17:26missiles, they will do severe levels of damage but a lower
00:17:30level per missile if they don't use these
00:17:34rocket accelerated warheads, but we're talking about
00:17:38serious damage and this can go on for very
00:17:42long time because do you have any sense for how many these
00:17:46missiles that we think Iran has? uh, we
00:17:50we really don't know, but hundreds them, almost
00:17:53surely, thousands them, quite
00:17:56possibly, so hundreds these things would do
00:18:00tremendous damage, but if the thousands them, which we can't rule
00:18:03out, uh, we're talking about real
00:18:07levels of damage that's you know you
00:18:11to tel aviv and you could you could
00:18:14end uh the economic viability of
00:18:18Israel by destroying there only
00:18:22few big cities where almost all the economic activity in
00:18:26Israel is is going on so is there
00:18:30anything in the cumulative integrated air defense
00:18:34system for for Israel when you're talking about the iron
00:18:37dome day? sling uh,
00:18:39you know
00:18:39all the different kinds of uh facilities I have, thads, factories,
00:18:43etc., is there anything that can defeat those missiles?
00:18:46no, no, I think the maneuvering these
00:18:50people, for example, sad, if it had a high
00:18:54capability to hit targets and I doubt that, but uh, let's
00:18:58assume it does, it
00:19:01requires um, 30 or 40
00:19:04seconds to reach an intercept point from launch.
00:19:08'well 30 or 40 seconds a maneuvering warhead
00:19:12only has to maneuver few meters per
00:19:15second to be well out of range the thad warhead's ability to
00:19:19maneuver and finally hit it, so if these
00:19:22guys are talking about war has they see maneuvering at high altitude, the
00:19:26game is over, fad has no chance, david sling
00:19:30has no chance, because these higher altitude
00:19:34interceptors take many, many
00:19:37tens of..." seconds to reach the locations where they're going to attempt to
00:19:40hit incoming missile, and you can't predict where
00:19:44that location's going to be, if the missile is able to
00:19:48maneuver, you can predict where it's going to be if it's a ballistic
00:19:51trajectory, and you know how to predict the
00:19:55location, because the trajectory is determined by
00:19:59gravitation and and momentum, but you
00:20:02don't have that
00:20:03in the case of powered vehicle or vehicle that has wings on it.
00:20:08that can maneuver, so the game is over
00:20:11completely, there's no chance at all that can do anything
00:20:15against these things, so the big fraud that's been going on for 30,
00:20:1835 years where they're making all these false claims about
00:20:22capabilities is now
00:20:25exposed, there's going to be no capability at all
00:20:29intercept these things, so let me let ask you, let's
00:20:32let's uh let's continue on down the path here, there was some
00:20:36claims when when "the President Trump is claiming that we knock down all eight of those
00:20:40missiles, there was additional reporting prior to him making
00:20:44that statement, what's
00:20:46that? sorry, go ahead, there was some claims before that that..."
00:20:50there were some on the United States that said, hey, we only had minutes
00:20:54of warning before these things get, we barely even had time to to go
00:20:57into, uh, to go into shelters, etc., that is
00:21:01lot less than what we had been in the past, and I wonder if you can just kind of talk a little
00:21:05bit about uh, the presumed damage that has been done because
00:21:09the radars that Iran has been hitting over the last couple of months
00:21:12especially, uh, and and what, whether we're hitting
00:21:16anything or not, it's reducing our warning.
00:22:21working, all five the thad radars were destroyed
00:22:25early in the war, the first fe two days the war, one day the war
00:22:29by the Iranians, but they have taken fad radar out of
00:22:33South Korea, and
00:22:35I don't know if it's yet operating, and the right place to
00:22:39put it so that it can give warning to the
00:22:43Israeli population is is in
00:22:46Israel, also it may be the best place to put because
00:22:50it's far enough away that there's some chance they can
00:22:54keep its location difficult to find, although I think
00:22:58that's doubtful, but I think that that radar will be
00:23:01destroyed sooner or later, because they will locate it, and once
00:23:05they locate it, they can go after it, as they did in the first day the
00:23:09war. so what, what is the absence the thad radars is supposed to any, and
00:23:13are there any other similar categories of radars that
00:23:17we can bring in that's going to give us enough knowledge? about incoming
00:23:20missiles throughout the region, well the arrow
00:23:23radars have some capability, they can probably
00:23:27see objects a couple of hundred kilometers range, which would be
00:23:3130, you couple of
00:23:35minutes warning, that's helpful, any
00:23:39warning is helpful, right now without the
00:23:41radars, what the Israelis
00:23:45know is that there's going to be attack few minutes before
00:23:49it happens, because um
00:23:52they uh uh the the satellites
00:23:55in space can tell them there's been a launch
00:23:59against Israel, you can't tell them where the
00:24:03impacts are going to be, so if you're in televiv you don't
00:24:06know it's tel aviv and if you're in Hyfa you don't know
00:24:10it's hyfa, but you know a couple of minutes something could
00:24:14happen, so that's what the Israelis are probably
00:24:18complaining about now. 'when they had the
00:24:21radars, they could know that
00:24:24yes, ha is about to be hit, and you might
00:24:28have two or three minutes
00:24:30of of warning from the
00:24:34radar, because you could see it far enough away to know to take
00:24:38shelter, so so you know it's it's in
00:24:41your city, henus, let's say, and you know you have two or three minutes
00:24:45to get to a shelter, which is not a lot of time, but is
00:24:48adequate'. so um uh so that's
00:24:52a much better situation than
00:24:56knowing there was a launch and sometime in the
00:25:00next 10 minutes or so uh you
00:25:03know um there's
00:25:07a warhead that might explode in your city
00:25:11near you or maybe in Haifa or maybe beer Shiva you
00:25:15don't know so everyone has to take shelter all across the country so
00:25:19that's much... more disruptive than when
00:25:22you know it's coming two or three minutes from now in your
00:25:26area,
00:25:28so that's the situation you have without the radars. apparently
00:25:31the commander of central command, admiral
00:25:34cooper is suggesting that President Trump try and
00:25:38change the war one more time, but this time with another two-week
00:25:42campaign, but just heavy your bombs, one the things that really stood out to me
00:25:46and I really like your view on this is the Cooper argued in
00:25:50favor of stepping up attacks to completely diminish Iran's missile
00:25:54capabilities uh according to NBC,
00:25:57the uh go big approach he said would diminish would minimize
00:26:01the US's need for the use of defensive munition since there would be less
00:26:05incoming fire uh from Iran, but I
00:26:09still keep going back to uh this
00:26:12um, because look, I heavier bombing, do do
00:26:16we have anything that's going to get through this stuff that's going to knock the out that we didn't in the
00:26:20first 40 days or the second 13, well I don't know what he's
00:26:24talking about, I mean uh, and I i think he doesn't know
00:26:28what he's talking about too, because what kinds
00:26:32of... bombs is he talking about, mean it's ridiculous, the
00:26:36bombs that uh that we have
00:26:39cannot penetrate close to the depths that you need in order to
00:26:43get at these under under mountain targets,
00:26:47the um we do have penetrating bombs that
00:26:51may be able to get at tunnels because the're
00:26:55tunnels that are just built in the desert open desert
00:26:58areas uh but you don't know where the tunnels are.
