00:00:59hello and welcome to Press TV's news review on this edition will be
00:01:03of focusing on Israeli attacks and aggressions in the
00:01:07region. Well, the Israeli regime has attacked the
00:01:10of galandia refugee camp in the occupied West Bank for the second consecutive
00:01:14day. Soldiers rated over dozen houses and clashed with Palestinians a
00:01:17used live
00:01:19in fire and tear gas to disperse the protesters. Ghanadia
00:01:23is key artery connecting Ramala and
00:01:25of the northern occupied west bank to occupied East Alts and cities further
00:01:29south. and uh with regards to Lebanon, the Israeli
00:01:33regime has launched new attacks on southern Lebanon in violation of
00:01:37a
00:01:37of ceasefire deal with the Arab country, the latest strikes targeted areas in and around the
00:01:41city of Tyre, wounding at least eight people. Witnesses also reported
00:01:45continuous Israeli artillery shelling in the area,
00:01:48according to Lebanon's health ministry since March 2nd, Israeli
00:01:52attacks have killed over 4,300 people and wounded more than
00:01:56in 12,500 a others and of course uh the Israeli.
00:02:00aggression and genocidal massacre in Gaza continues in
00:02:03violation of a cease fire that took
00:02:05of effect on
00:02:06of October 20th, 2025. Israeli attacks continued their
00:02:10resulting uh
00:02:11of in over a thousand deaths, 12, over
00:02:13of 1200 deaths to be precise, and 4100 injuries
00:02:17across the besieg territory, Israel's genocidal war on Gaza that
00:02:21started on
00:02:22of October of 7th, 2023 is killed more than 73,00
00:02:25Palestinians wounded over 174,000 others and
00:02:29destroyed. around 90% of civilian infrastructure according to
00:02:33Gaza Authorities we'll be discussing those points and more uh with our
00:02:37guests on this edition of Press TV's news review,
00:02:40we
00:02:41have press TV's very own Homer joining us in our studio in Tehran and also
00:02:45of writer in political annals muhammad alre joining us from Ramala, welcome to the program to
00:02:49the both of you. Let's start off with Mr. Alrir in Romalaw. Mr.
00:02:53Alir talk to us about the uh continuous attacks that we're seeing
00:02:57now on areas like the uh galandia
00:03:00refugee
00:03:04in camp, yes, thank you for having me, first and
00:03:08foremost, i think the Israeli forces
00:03:11deliberately continued its
00:03:14operation against the Palestinian refugee camps
00:03:18for many
00:03:22of of reasons, of the first one is to liquidate the Palestinian issue, and to
00:03:27of vanish, to destroy the... soul
00:03:30witness of nakba, the refugee camps
00:03:34like
00:03:34of Jinin, like tolkarim, like the bistin refugee
00:03:38camps in lebanon, by the way, the Israeli forces
00:03:42strike and damage the refugee camps in lebanon under the
00:03:46pretext of fighting
00:03:48or targeting the
00:03:52resistance, etc. now and
00:03:55in addition to that we saw their operations in Gaza to
00:03:59vanish. the palestinian or the soul witness of nakba
00:04:03refugee camps and honorwa, by
00:04:06the way,
00:04:07of the Israeli government decided years ago
00:04:11to to destroy the two fundamental
00:04:15of pillars
00:04:15of the palestinian issue, nakba
00:04:19and the naksa by targeting
00:04:21of onorwa to vanish its
00:04:24of presence inside the palestinian
00:04:27society and to place it with
00:04:30their institutions like the
00:04:34US aid like institutions supported from
00:04:38european European Union and the US and the second
00:04:41of fundamental
00:04:42of pillar of is the
00:04:43of refugee camp to destroy this
00:04:47image
00:04:48of to shape these camps on the basis
00:04:51of the Israeli security interests and the
00:04:55their coordination their security coordination with the
00:04:58in palestinian authority because of that I think they
00:05:01targeted, then they
00:05:04accused
00:05:07the the palestinians in calandia, in jalazon, and
00:05:11and all the... cams of being
00:05:14support the resistance or they
00:05:18will be the internal front the resistance, but indeed they
00:05:22deliberately targeted these refuges refugee camps
00:05:26to get rid the palestinian issue to
00:05:29vanish the palestinian
00:05:33witness witnesses and all their
00:05:35evidence about nakba and i think
00:05:39the second point is that ation plan we
00:05:43know that Israel took a green light from the
00:05:47US implement the annexation
00:05:51plan according to the deal of century that donald
00:05:55trump declared in his first term
00:05:58to damage or to destroy or to
00:06:01liquidate the palestinian issue and to take more
00:06:05lands from Syria from Lebanon
00:06:08and turn the west bank into
00:06:12the... state of settlers to be the the
00:06:15core principle or the core point for the
00:06:19greater Israel and the new middle east project, because of that we saw
00:06:23recently many decisions from the Israeli
00:06:26parliament, the Israeli government and they they
00:06:30used the settlers attacks and the Israeli
00:06:34army to carry out many operations in the
00:06:38heart the palestinian cities to distract the daily
00:06:41life and to to cr all
00:06:45people inside the Palestinian cities, they
00:06:48evacuated many people, thousands of people, the beding
00:06:52communities, they confiscated the
00:06:56water springs, the bearal
00:07:00areas in the west of in the west, in
00:07:03the west bank, especially in Jordan Valley in West
00:07:07Naples to to pave the way for the settlers
00:07:10and their actions. and recently we saw their
00:07:14decisions formally they decided to confiscate
00:07:17area B, area C, according to also
00:07:21occurs to be the Israeli
00:07:23territories and at the expense the Palestinians and
00:07:27their geographical continuity for their
00:07:31dream to to establish the state with sovereignty
00:07:34according to the international law, when you see these
00:07:38recent actions from the the Israeli government and the
00:07:42Israel parliament, opposition or coalition,
00:07:46settlers or ministers okay, you will see that
00:07:49deliberately they implemented their
00:07:52policy.
00:07:54homeira, what, mr. was
00:07:58just alluding to attacks on areas like qalandia, like
00:08:01jenin, like tulkam, there with the aim of trying
00:08:05to liquidate the palestinian cause, how can these
00:08:09attacks be ignored by the mainstream
00:08:13media so blatantly? yeah, you absolutely
00:08:17right, these attacks are being ignored by the mainstream media,
00:08:21and this is not something new which we are seeing, if we talk
00:08:25about how media has been functioning, especially the western media, it
00:08:28is a part the military industrial complex the United
00:08:32States, so it the ownership these big media
00:08:36houses is really merky, they are
00:08:39owned by people who also have their assets in
00:08:43weapons manufacturing companies, so we have also seen in the
00:08:47wars that have taken place in the recent past that
00:08:51how these media houses have manufactured consent,
00:08:55be it in Iraq war, be it in the war against you
00:08:59know in Afghanistan, or also the propaganda
00:09:03that has been unleashed against Iran since the last 48 years,
00:09:06so the way we see how this media, the mainstream media
00:09:10specifically other wester. media and also the media houses
00:09:14which are working in the region have been functioning, their prime
00:09:18objective is to you know manufacture consent
00:09:22for their
00:09:24you know bosses who have their assets,
00:09:27their
00:09:29financial relations in
00:09:33other manufacturing weapons, manufacturing companies, so that
00:09:37is one the reasons we do not see that media is covering
00:09:40this gross humanitarian. that is the Palestine
00:09:44issue and in the recent past we have seen the
00:09:48Palestine issue is getting very less coverage
00:09:51and the reason is quite apparent, the analyst
00:09:55also mentioned even the about the app, the so callalled Abraham
00:09:58accords how Trump is trying to totally
00:10:02liquidate the Palestinian issue and now after the
00:10:06genocide in Gaza how Israel is working
00:10:10you know a very rampant way.
00:10:13to extend its occupation in the west bank, so
00:10:16now the policy has changed, Israel
00:10:20is also
00:10:21you know very vehemently saying that if they... committed a
00:10:25historic mistake in 1948 of allowing Palestinians to
00:10:29be in the Palestinian region, now they want to undo the mistake and they
00:10:33want to
00:10:34you know increase the annexation and totally do away with
00:10:38the issue of Palestine and that is being also
00:10:41seen the way media is
00:10:44now covering the Palestinian
00:10:46issue. Mohammad,
00:10:50according to the ASRAR media office, the number of
00:10:54palestinian.
00:10:55is in the regime's jails have reached unprecedented levels, there's been a
00:10:59remarkable uptick in rights violation such as torture,
00:11:02starvation, medical neglect and isolation. how
00:11:06alarming is it to to see
00:11:10uh
00:11:11the the rise the the number of
00:11:14palestinian abductees and how they're being
00:11:17treated and what's also very alarming here
00:11:21is the lack of action by uh
00:11:25international institutions in that
00:11:27regard? this is an important question
00:11:31now, i think and from my point of view, i think we
00:11:35have nothing from the international community to condemn Israel, to
00:11:39ask Israel to force Israel to stop its violations, they
00:11:42give l service and they promise the
00:11:46palestinians to to to
00:11:49discuss the state with sovereignty for the palestinians, but
00:11:52indeed they didn't stop. the Israeli
00:11:55violations, they even procrastinated their
00:11:59measures to punish the Israeli settlers, I'm
00:12:03wondering about
00:12:04their actions on the ground, they they have no
00:12:08case, no one from the settlers that they
00:12:11removed the citizenship from
00:12:15from any settler in the west bank, and this is
00:12:19the the main sign,
00:12:23the this is an obvious sign that the... union and all the all the
00:12:26european countries just released their statements
00:12:30about the state the palestinians and the
00:12:34settlers attacks without any real action
00:12:38against the Israeli occupation and its
00:12:40violations by the way recently when it comes
00:12:44to Israel all the all the
00:12:47european countries stopped their
00:12:51condemnations and they asked for peace for.
00:12:55for self control just, but when you talk about the
00:12:59reality, the settlers took and
00:13:02they are taking, they are talk
00:13:06many the support, many financial
00:13:09support from the institutions in Europe and
00:13:13US without supervision from
00:13:17the from the US or European Union,
00:13:20that means the Israeli occupation.
00:13:25gained more support instead of
00:13:29being under the
00:13:32under the under the under the European Union ask
00:13:36or under their watch, no, they are
00:13:39gain more support to continue their statement
00:13:43settlements, to continue their operations against the
00:13:46Palestinians, on the other hand, the Palestinian prisoners under
00:13:50inside the Israeli jails have been subjected to
00:13:52torture, negligence,
00:13:56isolation, and any the
00:14:00international institutions, we don't,
00:14:04we don't, we don't see their reaction, their
00:14:07reaction against the Israeli violations, against the against women
00:14:11rights, against children rights, just they wanted
00:14:15to show their statements to release their
00:14:19statements to abuse Israel, to abuse
00:14:22netanyahu, to abuse their... governments or at
00:14:26least
00:14:27to to abuse their
00:14:29the the zionist movement at the expense the palestinians,
00:14:33the human rights, this is an important point here to
00:14:37talk about, israel conducted genocide, starvation,
00:14:41Israel, implementing the ethnic in the west bank,
00:14:45demolishing homes, confiscating land,
00:14:48storing the appartide wall,
00:14:52iron gates in the entrances of cities killing by cold
00:14:56blood in the west bank in gaza
00:14:59strip attacking neighboring
00:15:02countries and Israel considers itself a part the
00:15:05international law because the absence the
00:15:09accountability because the the
00:15:13absence the good will or the real will
00:15:16from the international community to stop these relations
00:15:20now they consider this
00:15:24silence from the international community as a green light to
00:15:27go through their plans to torture palestinian
00:15:31prisoners to demolish demolish
00:15:35homes to to to. to conduct
00:15:38any operation against the palestinians
00:15:42without hesitation and that will lead
00:15:45to to further confrontations in the region
00:15:49because the silence the international
00:15:52community. homer had the rampant
00:15:56destruction the Israeli regime is also
00:15:59continuing with its attacks in
00:16:02lebanon uh the uh attacks all across the
00:16:05region that the Israelis uh are uh carrying out, it definitely has
00:16:09a green light from the United States and uh
00:16:13there is also the issue the silence the international community with
00:16:17result with regards to the uh Israeli
00:16:20attacks in South Lebanon, we've seen the scope and level of
00:16:23destruction there, we've seen the civilian deaths, why is
00:16:26that? yeah, you are right about saying that there's
00:16:30a silence from the international community and as far as the
00:16:34United States is concerned ' I personally have
00:16:38been repeating it that Israel is an off shoot the United States, there is
00:16:42no difference between United States and Israel and Israel cannot
00:16:46even function for a single day if United States does
00:16:50not support it, does not give it the weapons, it is supplying,
00:16:54it does not give the aid that is being given to the
00:16:57regime, so even thinking that
00:17:01Israel has capability of conducting all
00:17:05these types of aggression and the... slaught that it has been
00:17:08doing since the last few years uh is is actually
00:17:12not acceptable because without the support the United States
00:17:16it is not possible and then we have even reports from even the US
00:17:20organizations that are clearly mentioning that the amount of support
00:17:23in billions of dollars is received by
00:17:27Israel to do all types of aggression beat in
00:17:31Gaza beat in West bank beat in Lebanon or even on Iran
00:17:34uh so America and Israel function as one
00:17:38entity. As far as the international community is
00:17:42concerned, I would say something which may be a bit shocking, but this is what
00:17:46I believe in and it's like the entity, the
00:17:50international community, the United Nations or for that matter, the European
00:17:53Union, all these organizations which we talk about, they have been
00:17:57responsible for the you know for
00:18:01all what we are seeing now, for even the inception of Israel, how Israel
00:18:05came into being, how United... nations at that time supported
00:18:09it, everything has been done under the cover of resolutions passed
00:18:13by the United Nations, so even these
00:18:16organizations, the so-called neutral
00:18:19international organizations are working on the behest these
00:18:23western powers, we have been mentioning that the United
00:18:26Nations is getting aid from the United States and other European
00:18:30countries, how do we expect them to function neutrally
00:18:33and in the last few years specifically we have seen how they have been
00:18:37functioning they, if not apparently, if not very
00:18:41openly, but a way they have been helping Israel to
00:18:44do the genocide which it has done in Gaza, to do what it has been doing in
00:18:48Lebanon, and even the war on Iran, so
00:18:52expecting anything from this international community, which is the reason
00:18:56why this inhuman, you know,
00:18:59in in in human inhumanity which we are seeing in the world is
00:19:03happening because them, then expecting anything from them that they...
00:19:07would be there to
00:19:08you know solve these issues uh is is
00:19:12totally you know bizarre because these entities are
00:19:16the reason for these issues uh coming into
00:19:19being mohammad al
00:19:23let's uh turn our attention now to the situation in Gaza uh
00:19:27the Euromet human rights monitor has recently warned Israel is attempting to
00:19:31erase war crime scenes in Gaza by removing um
00:19:34rubble and debrie before independent investigators. can document or
00:19:38examine them, the group is stating that this could destroy crucial
00:19:42evidence and the last traces of thousands of people still missing beneath the
00:19:45debris uh break down break down that report from
00:19:49euromed for us what it means
00:19:51and um there's uh no way
00:19:55to stop the Israelis uh from carrying this out
00:19:58because the um lack of accountability, the free
00:20:02rain uh that they have received
00:20:05and um the complacent. the
00:20:08international community here is also regarded as
00:20:12complicity. i think this is the perfect
00:20:15time for Netanyahu to intensify its
00:20:19aggression against the gaza strip and the west bank by the way
00:20:23as I told you in this interview and
00:20:27the international community unfortunately colluded with with the
00:20:30Israelion to continue
00:20:33its aggression at.
00:20:37the Palestinians, when you talk about the seas fire deal, we know that
00:20:41all the mediators in the region are
00:20:45weak, without sovereignty, without strong stance
00:20:49to stop. the Israeli aggression or at least to stop the Israeli
00:20:53violation, we saw today the the statement from the eight
00:20:57countries about the Israeli violations,
00:20:59but that is silly i
00:21:03think to to talk about the Israeli violations as a
00:21:06mediator without real stance, without
00:21:09real action to stop or to force Israel
00:21:13implement the second stage from the the seasfair
00:21:17deal or at least to follow the...
00:21:20recent recommendations from the mediators
00:21:24after the statement the palestinian factions about
00:21:28disarming the resistance. i think the mediators
00:21:31took the statement from the palestinian factions to
00:21:35give or to abuse trump during
00:21:38his
00:21:42his threatens his threats his threatens against
00:21:46Iran and he by the way bosted uh
00:21:50about that and he public published about that and he
00:21:54pragged about the palestinian statement about
00:21:57disming the resistance as bower the us
00:22:01and after that we saw the mediators
00:22:05stopped their action now
00:22:08Israel at least especially
00:22:12and his coalition they insisted on
00:22:15intensifying their actions against the palestinians to
00:22:19appease all the settlers to gain their votes
00:22:23in the next elections and
00:22:26that that that is an
00:22:29obvious sign from
00:22:32Israel to refuse any fire deal with them in
00:22:36Gaza or in Lebanon just to keep or to
00:22:40save their political futures as Netanyahu
00:22:44or they wanted to establish new
00:22:48settlements in the West Bank. especially engineer and in the gaza
00:22:52strip to restore their doctrine the
00:22:56veterans and to restore their historic moment about the settlements
00:22:59and to gain more votes. this is the perfect time
00:23:03for Netanyahu and i think he
00:23:07took everything,
00:23:09he did everything to
00:23:13avoid his failure to avoid any
00:23:17failure in the future because of... that I think and I
00:23:21don't throw out that Netanyahu will escalate the
00:23:25situation, will intensify the attacks in Gazza and
00:23:28he took three tracks there, the first one to support the
00:23:32undiscipline groups there and the extended
00:23:36by the way their areas, the second track is
00:23:39by creating chayas in
00:23:42the areas under the the
00:23:46control of resistance to put more pressure on. the internal
00:23:50front there to force them to leave and the third
00:23:54point is preventing the
00:23:57national committee from entering gaza
00:24:01to control gaza to at least to unify
00:24:04the palestinian decision to be
00:24:08the first step for the reconsiliation and
00:24:12to establish new era between the palestinian
00:24:16factions for their future about this state
00:24:20with sovereignty, Netanyahu refused this committee, Netanyahu
00:24:23refused to stop his action in Gaza, and
00:24:27he will continue his policy, but
00:24:31in in the media you will see more statements
00:24:35about from European Union, from eight countries, from
00:24:39mediators about see fair deal, but on the
00:24:42ground we have war, genocide, starvation
00:24:46in Gaza. Okay, we're gonna have to leave it there allow me to... thank my
00:24:50guests uh muhammad writer and political analyst joining
00:24:54us from Ramala, thank you sir and thanks to Press TV's
00:24:57very unh joining us in our studio here in Tehron and that's a
00:25:01rap for this edition of uh Press TV's news review but stick
00:25:04around a way back on the bottom the hour with our world news, see you
00:25:07soon.
00:25:22If you want to understand 21st century geopolitics,
00:25:26don't look at speeches, look at corridors and the center
00:25:30of almost all them is Iran, not as a
00:25:33spectator, as a structural necessity. From Washington's
00:25:36perspective, Iran is often framed as a pressure point, but
00:25:40from
00:25:41a geo economic perspective, it is something else entirely,
00:25:45the hinge of Eurasia, start with China's belt and road, a
00:25:49free train now, runs from zan straight into Aprin dry
00:25:53port, just outside Tehran, what used to take 40
00:25:56days by sea can now take about 15 by
00:26:00rail, and hey, that's not s symbolism that supply
00:26:04chain redesign and it quietly places Iran
00:26:07inside the fastest growing east west
00:26:11trade artery on the planet then there's a north south access
00:26:15the INSTC linking Russia, Iran and India, a
00:26:18corridor that doesn't just connect economies, it intersects with
00:26:22every major east west route crossing
00:26:26central Asia and here is where the irony becomes hard
00:26:30to ignore, the more US some other western
00:26:34plans try to root around Iran, the more
00:26:37physical geography pulls them back through it. Take India's
00:26:41ambition in chabahar, take China's interest in the markran
00:26:45coast, take Russia's need for southern access. Three different
00:26:49strategies, same unavoidable node. Iran
00:26:53sits at the intersection of competing systems, BRI or the
00:26:57belt road initiative on one side, INSTC or the
00:27:01international north south. transport corridor on another, the US
00:27:05backed IMEC
00:27:06so callalled India middle east Europe corridor attempting to bypass
00:27:10them entirely, but bypassing Iran is not
00:27:13logistical detail, it is geopolitical contradiction,
00:27:17because even IMEC's logic depends on stable regional
00:27:21connectivity, a region where Iran is structurally
00:27:24unavoidable, meanwhile, Washington's broader strategy,
00:27:28illegal sanctions, pressure containment was meant to limit.
00:27:32Iran's connectivity, instead, it accelerated
00:27:36parallel systems, rail, ports and
00:27:40overland trade roots that reduce dependence on maritime
00:27:44choke points, and this is the quiet shift most headlines
00:27:47miss. Iran is embedded inside competing
00:27:51integration models, Chinese, Russian, Indian and
00:27:55regional, which raises simple but uncomfortable question,
00:27:59a world being rebelled through corridors, what happens? when the
00:28:03system itself cannot be drawn without you,
00:28:06sometimes the most strategic country is not the
00:28:10one controlling the map, it is the one every version the
00:28:14map is forced to pass through, no matter who
00:28:18draws the
00:28:18lines.
00:28:55Crisis devastating wars,
00:28:58terrorism, the Israeli lobby.
00:29:05crackdown,
00:29:09diplomacy,
00:29:15new arrangements for safe hormos
00:29:17shipping.
