00:00:05Blue Pill shows you reality, the other lets the story go
00:00:08exactly where you need to. Choose
00:00:11carefully.
00:00:16of What do you see? A

00:01:00of
00:01:12What is the Omani Pilot doing? Thinking about what? Maybe
00:01:15in he's of of wondering why he's even here. Israel had already screened the
00:01:19passenger and crew lists. Oman has no diplomatic relations with
00:01:22Israel, so an Omeny pilot shouldn't have been cleared for this
00:01:26flight. Maybe that's what he's thinking about. Why doesn't he lock the copping?
00:01:30He'd have to stand up
00:01:32of and he'd get thrown across the cockapit, but the plumber can cross 15 rows.
00:01:36Everything works differently from row 16
00:01:43a forward.
00:01:45of Can't he use the plane to stop
00:01:49him? He
00:01:52in
00:01:52of tries.

00:02:11of so the captain is down, the other pilot is tied up with
00:02:15headphones,
00:02:20the plumber goes back to do what, fly the
00:02:22plane, any flight training,
00:02:26no, simulator, no, then what does he know?
00:02:45of
00:02:52You just pull it toward herself and the plane comes
00:02:54up, that's
00:02:58what makes it in.
00:03:00of appressive, who's going to land it? I have something for that
00:03:04too. From here, I take
00:03:07over. I'm a
00:03:10pilot. Me too.
00:03:12Interesting. Your
00:03:15turn.
00:03:19What do you see? An American airman over
00:03:24of Iran. Not properly. Not properly.
00:03:27Impact. Heard.
00:03:30of dead?
00:03:34no, injured? a
00:03:35little.
00:03:43of in of so he waits for rescue?
00:03:44no,
00:03:52he climbs. climbs what? the
00:03:54mountain.
00:04:00of
00:04:03Good,
00:04:04of that's interesting too, of
00:04:09of course, every crime needs an excuse, and when they don't have

00:05:12I've
00:05:21got you, rather than asking any politician
00:05:24to shut weapons
00:05:27factories down, we could go and shut them down
00:05:29ourselves,
00:05:34by putting our bodies on the line and our liberty on the
00:05:38line, occupying these factories, smashing them up
00:05:42and putting them down, we could take the power back
00:05:45into our own hands. We know we
00:05:49had the power, small groups of people with conscience,
00:05:53morality and few tools are all that's needed
00:05:56to actually
00:05:57change.

00:07:17'Never in my wildest imagination have I ever even thought that I
00:07:21would be in such a situation where my daughter is in
00:07:25prison, she has been arrested for an
00:07:29alleged action against elbit, the filton
00:07:32site and causing allegedly
00:07:36damage to weapons worth around one million
00:07:40pounds.' '
00:07:48to take action against something unjust going on in
00:07:52my city, take pride in
00:07:53that.
00:08:24Direct action is
00:08:25a form of protest where you
00:08:26go straight to the
00:08:27people
00:08:33that?
00:08:49what direct action does is it confronts power
00:08:53a tangible way and it forces power to
00:08:57confront
00:08:57itself.
00:09:01direct action is literally i'm refusing to move. direct action
00:09:05is not the national parades where police 4 pm we will
00:09:09decide on 4 pm we will decide on how we are. opposing
00:09:13you and how we will disrupt until you listen to us, in terms of palestine
00:09:17action, that means we've given up and asking people to
00:09:21stop arming Israel and we're going about um dismantling the
00:09:24arms industry
00:09:25ourselves.
00:09:43"It is factory of
00:09:46revolutionaries. You've never had anything
00:09:49the nature of Palestine action on the
00:09:53Palestinian cause in this country work a sustainable way
00:09:57for this period of time and achieve the
00:10:00successes that have been achieved. The effectiveness the actions
00:10:04that they they've taken um has had huge
00:10:08impact, factories being closed down a contracts being
00:10:12lost. "It's the
00:10:13in the interest public actually, for people to know what is happening within
00:10:17their cities and towns and to be able to have a say
00:10:20in that, and for a long time
00:10:21we didn't, but thanks to Palestine
00:10:24action, now
00:10:24we know." and we can
00:10:26act.
00:10:41I became aware of Palestine action through the kinds of
00:10:45uh actions that they were engaged in to disrupts the
00:10:48weapons manufacture and dissemination of weapons over the
00:10:52course the last three to four years. and mean
00:10:55immediately clear that they were doing some the most important protest
00:10:59work and not only in Britain but mean the world, those
00:11:02people are sacrificing something
00:11:06for cause far far bigger than them and all of
00:11:10us and they are giving
00:11:13themselves, their future, their time, their mental, their
00:11:17physical health um in order
00:11:21to articulate a form of love for.
00:11:25some the most oppressed people in the
00:11:26world, these are the best of
00:11:30humanity.
00:11:48when they ask me why did it, tell them about the
00:11:52children, how their childhood is st. from
00:11:55them, how their skeletons are left charred and
00:11:59smoking, how easily their bodies are crushed by
00:12:03falling buildings, how their skin melts as their
00:12:06flaming tents collapse around them, tell
00:12:10them the boy found carrying his brother's
00:12:14body inside his bloody backpack, tell them
00:12:17the girl whose hanging corpse ended at the
00:12:21knees, tell them the father,
00:12:25holding up his headless toddler. tell them
00:12:29the mother who received the approximate weight of her
00:12:33family in body parts to bury. they'd all been
00:12:36shattered beyond recognition. then
00:12:40tell them about the history and talk about how it was us that
00:12:44started it with our about
00:12:46declaration. so i
00:12:50say i cannot stand for this. it can go on no
00:12:54longer. so I took action against
00:12:57Elbit, their weapon
00:12:59supplier, but I never forget
00:13:03to say that it was love, not hate that called
00:13:06me.
00:13:10You know, the images coming out of Gaza on our phone screens
00:13:14every single day, showing the slaughter of children,
00:13:18especially of children was,
00:13:21was very hard for all of us to take, and the... saying for Fatma
00:13:25Zainab, she did not want to be complicit in genocide, and all these
00:13:29images, these stories that that were reaching
00:13:32us, made her feel really helpless and
00:13:36really distressed and depressed, that you know,
00:13:39why are we not doing anything, you
00:13:42know, as individuals, as communities, why are we sitting there with our hands tied? the
00:13:46UK has has supplied Israel with
00:13:49material support in order to facilitate its violation of
00:13:53international law, it is very easy. arguable that the UK is a complicit
00:13:57actor in the ongoing genocide in Ghazza. Palestinians in Gaza
00:14:01had been living under a brutal siege by land,
00:14:05air and sea for over
00:14:07decade. And when
00:14:10Palestinians in Gaza marched to the fence which has
00:14:14entrapped them under this brutal siege for over
00:14:18decade, to demand their rights to freedom, the right
00:14:22to return to their homes, a right stipulate. under
00:14:25international law, they were met and shot and
00:14:29killed by Israeli
00:14:31snipers,
00:14:40we had extreme violations, some of which can be considered
00:14:43and classified as war crimes in terms of
00:14:46dark direct targeting the civilians who are partaking in
00:14:50these uh
00:14:51demonstrations.
00:15:01Israel responded by sniping thousands
00:15:04them - there were thousands of amputs off the back of it and
00:15:08hundreds of people killed and those sniper rifles, some
00:15:12them were sold to the israelis by the
00:15:14British.
00:15:31So we decided to occupy the weapons
00:15:35factory in Staffshire. 'we grabbed whatever tools we
00:15:39could, we got some ladders, we didn't have much
00:15:42money so we just brought whatever we could from home, we used a
00:15:46shopping bags to carry the stuff onto the
00:15:49roof and we were there for three days
00:15:52and we weren't sure if they would hold us in prison
00:15:56on remand afterwards that in that moment we had
00:16:00the power, we could shut down this factory and that is the best
00:16:04place i have ever been, is top of and is really
00:16:07weapons factory, shutting it down with hammer in my
00:16:11hands.
00:16:21some the best known forms of direct action can be thought about in relation to
00:16:25resistance to apartide and forms of segregation,
00:16:29so direct act they disrupted and broke, they
00:16:32disrupted and broke segregation laws in on
00:16:36public transports and networks for instance or on food counters, we can think about
00:16:40examples such as resist about examples such as
00:16:43resistance to chattle slavery,
00:16:46it was up, burnt down the property the the peoples who were
00:16:49enslaving them, all these forms of resistance were holy
00:16:53illegal, you also have the sufragets movement which went as
00:16:57far as trying to push Winston Churchill bricks at
00:17:0110 downing bricks at 10 Downing Street,
00:17:05so there's all manner of ways in direct action has achieved
00:17:09some the things that we actually take for granted and
00:17:13view as positive aspects of our
00:17:16society, those were one through direct action they
00:17:20were fought for from below, not bestowed from
00:17:23above here at UAV engines in
00:17:27Chenstone, I'm locking on a van, we've
00:17:30got couple of guys with
00:17:34couple of guys with brick breakers.
00:17:39"this is Elbit's drove, so that's why we are
00:17:43here, ordinary people, closing this factory
00:17:46down, that sound you
00:17:50hear is the sound of ordinary people taking direct
00:17:54action, let's see how our
00:17:58fortification
00:17:59works
00:18:03against police tools, we've
00:18:06got to..." take this factory
00:18:08down, brick by
00:18:11bick, wall by
00:18:13wall.
00:18:17primary purpose is shutting elbit down and causing economic damage, but
00:18:21if we don't publicize what's happening there, if we don't show
00:18:24people not only how it's operating, what's happening
00:18:28within it, the companies that are complicit with this and are supplying them, but
00:18:32also showing people the bravery that
00:18:35activists are taking who are going. and smashing up the inside of factory, but when you
00:18:39see someone take that courage and take that step into action, it means
00:18:43that you have that conversation with yourself, could I take that action
00:18:47too? if not me, who, and if not now,
00:18:50when? I can act to stop
00:18:54these weapons being manufactured, it's within my power, and I will do
00:18:58that.
00:19:03What brought me here today is kind of realization that direct actually... is
00:19:07probably one the best ways to get your voice
00:19:09heard.
00:19:14We are here to shut, we are here to shut
00:19:18Albert
00:19:19down.
00:19:28Protest has limited
00:19:32effect in this country, and
00:19:35you know we saw it with Grenfeld, we've seen. with Palestine, we
00:19:38saw it with the Iraq war. What we're seeing now is that these demonstrations
00:19:42become - are institutionalized in a way that isolates them
00:19:46from the rest the community, so you can protest all you want, but the
00:19:50policy change will remain very minimal, and you
00:19:54see actually futility of some the
00:19:57methods that have been used for decades in this
00:20:00country. People were literally going out every day
00:20:04and there was no impact, like it wasn't.
00:20:09that the Israeli government were going to look
00:20:10at that and do anything and um the only thing
00:20:13that I saw that I felt was actually going to have
00:20:17any impact was to stop the weapons that we're producing in this
00:20:21country
00:20:23and so that leads you to the point where
00:20:26you see direct action as actuals delivered
00:20:30results a tangible delivered results a tangible
00:20:33way um and a dramatic way.
00:20:38in in this country, inspired by the Raithion
00:20:40Nine.
00:20:50so Raithion are between Raithion and Lockede martin, the
00:20:54largest arms company in the world at the uh Rathian
00:20:58building, there's a number of persons inside have taken
00:21:02over the building and are throwing
00:21:04items uh computer desks, paper etc.
00:21:08onto the roadway onto the
00:21:11roadway,
00:21:15these were people israeli war on lebanon realized
00:21:19they had ratheon. factory in derry and
00:21:22they uh got into the factory, shut it
00:21:25down,
00:21:35we then arrested and used the court case as an opportunity to
00:21:39turn the tables on the
00:21:42company, so they entered the
00:21:46court, the accused and they left as the accusers and they were...
00:21:50able to not only be acquitted, but also Raythion was forced to leave
00:21:54derry. By seeking to turn the table and take these
00:21:58corporations to court through direct action,
00:22:01these these actionists sought to engage the legal
00:22:05system a rather creative way. Furthermore, this way of
00:22:08thinking is a way that appeals to the law
00:22:12and the court of public
00:22:13opinion.
00:22:28Palestine is certainly being used and I mean it's not this
00:22:32is not just kind of claim by activists or Palestinians or
00:22:35lawyers, this is something that is openly admitted by the
00:22:38Israeli arms industry and they're selling these instruments of war as
00:22:42battle as battles tested against the Palestinians. If you
00:22:46go to the DSEII arms fair which happens every two. years in
00:22:50Excel, London, you will find Israeli corporations
00:22:54using a demo videos uh on how these weapons
00:22:58were used and conducted in Palestine.
00:23:02Israel has a constant guiney pig, which is the
00:23:05Palestinians. Guine Pigs for how we can control them,
00:23:09Guine Pigs for how we can watch them, Guine Pigs for how we can study them, Guine
00:23:12Pigs for how we can kill them, that the UK and the Israeli military
00:23:16industrial complexes are actually quite integrated. Now
00:23:20an important aspect of this was the watchkeeper drone.
00:23:24Since becoming operational in the IDF in the mid 1990s,
00:23:28Hermas family systems logged more than 400 thousand operational
00:23:32flight hours in more than 40,000 successful combat
00:23:35missions for various forces around the globe,
00:23:39making them the most versatile and reliable tactical unmanned
00:23:43aircraft platform in the
00:23:45world. Elbit
00:23:48systems is uh military technology
00:23:51company that is officially incorporated in Israel,
00:23:55but as a multinational corporation, it has uh different
00:23:59subsidiaries all across the world, it produces weapons primarily for
00:24:02the Israeli state, however it also exports its weaponry
00:24:06to uh state actors all around the
00:24:08world.
00:24:13it produces many the missiles, drones,
00:24:16armory and that's been used to pumel gaza.
00:24:20is also deeply integrated with the Israeli state. Israeli
00:24:23officials are frequently at elbit events. i'm here in
00:24:27bristol uh for the opening the new elbit
00:24:30factory and i'm very very proud the Israeli technology. elbit
00:24:34is defense technology uh company Israeli that
00:24:38based here in the UK has factories in Kent and in
00:24:41Bristol. we quickly
00:24:45identified Albert Systems, Israel's biggest weapons firm as
00:24:49our main target. Elbit systems are the
00:24:52very manifestation the Israeli military
00:24:56regime here in Britain. We knew they were operating in
00:25:00towns and cities across Britain. We also
00:25:03understood the impact it would make if Israel's biggest
00:25:07weapons manufacturer was forced out of a country,
00:25:11one their strongest allies, and not because the government said
00:25:15so, but because the
00:25:16people. You knew that. elbit
00:25:20systems under under the subsidiary UAV tactical systems, we're
00:25:24operating an arms company and a manufacturing
00:25:27hub where they're assembling drones to be shipped off to
00:25:31Israel from there, and the idea there is if you're on the roof of
00:25:35factory like the the British health and safety rules means that no one can actually be
00:25:39underneath you until they take you off, so just being there shut down a
00:25:42factory, the idea was to occupy it for long as long as we could,
00:25:46and um yeah just keep that factory shut shut down, yeah? so
00:25:50this is day this middle the sixth day top of
00:25:54Elvit's factory in Leicester, police have been dening us water
00:25:57for a couple of days now,
00:26:00yeah uh... resulted to every time it rains
00:26:04scraping water off the tent. this morning um i'll just show you over
00:26:08here um made a hole in the
00:26:12roof and we can see down into the main workshop where they
00:26:15assemble killer drones just around the corner there that's
00:26:19the end the drone you see on the right there so we reckon this is where they
00:26:23assemble the drones ready for shipping towards Israel to
00:26:27be tested on palestinians it was kind of that moment of like we
00:26:30are so definitely the right place doing the right thing
00:26:34um and yeah and that that was that was the
00:26:38same day that that was that evening the police came to take us down
00:26:42and like it was with that happening in the morning the police coming take us
00:26:46down that we kind of picked up the sledge hammer and hammers and we just like we
00:26:50need to k this this place needs to be shut down for as long as possible and we just did as much
00:26:54like as we could to the to the top of it um i remember this guy
00:26:58graham from the police showing don't do that that's not going to help your cause which has
00:27:01been uh i think successfully proved
00:27:03wrong,
00:27:08actually that occurs is
00:27:09it is really important action that occurs it is really important for local community
00:27:12members to get involved, people came out and droves, so now we had
00:27:16convoys coming from across
00:27:18Leicester,
00:27:23we had people coming outside the factory, people were staying over at
00:27:27night because we could tell that like the activist on the roof they were
00:27:31struggling.
00:27:37and then we glued ourselves to the roof just to stay out for a bit longer, you
00:27:41understand?
00:27:47once we were arrested and put into the police fans,
00:27:50something that they hadn't really banked for was the leaster community and quite
00:27:54how spectacular they
00:27:56are.
00:28:03the police were trying to get down um the activist
00:28:07from off the roof and in that time you know uh the lester community had
00:28:11mobilized a lot of people there were call outs they were standing in front the police with
00:28:14riot shields police had come with their
00:28:16vans
00:28:27while they were busy trying to unglue us and have people on the roof i
00:28:31remember their conversation. in my year and there was this guy saying just on the
00:28:34radio, a bit concerned, there seem to be people putting barriers
00:28:38up against the entrance to the factory, by the time they'd got us in the vans later that
00:28:42night um, the whole entrance had been barricaded a total
00:28:46people-powered blockade the
00:28:48factory
00:29:02every single one these actions has often a small
00:29:06number of people dressed up in red boiler suits maybe doing some damage or doing the
00:29:09action and huge number of people supporting that to happen and supporting
00:29:13it for years
00:29:14afterwards.
00:29:18when it came to 2023 when the there was a siege
00:29:22held by palestine action outside the alester elbit factory, our community were like,
00:29:26okay, these people have been manhandled by the police, the all their
00:29:30tents are being confiscated, but they want to... continue the siege,
00:29:34so lester people came and gave blankets and food supplies
00:29:38and everything for the activist to be able to continue in what they firmly believe that they
00:29:41should be, what they firmly believe that they should be there, you
00:29:44know,
00:29:52areas do not want an Israely weapons factory operating on
00:29:56their door step, and they can also be key driving
00:29:59force in forcing the company. out their
00:30:03city, those community members took direct action
00:30:07themselves, when people were on the roof - and being refused
00:30:10things from the police, they threw things up, when police tried to remove
00:30:14activists, they blocked the road, and then crucially they carry on, and
00:30:18then crucially they carry on and they come out after every action, ones
00:30:22on the roof
