00:00:00attack on the American soil, saying US leaders conjure
00:00:04up an imaginary enemy to frighten their own
00:00:06people. Despite
00:00:09of earlier denials, the Pentagon admits that the number of troops killed in the
00:00:13aggression against Iran is higher than previously
00:00:17of reported, with nearly 900
00:00:18injuries. And finally,
00:00:22new pull shows the French president's popularity has fallen to the lowest

00:00:42of Hello and welcome everyone, you're
00:00:46watching Press TV world news, let's go ahead and get started with the sour stop
00:00:49stories.
00:00:52of Iran's foreign ministry spokesman has slammed the US
00:00:55a president's latest claim about a possible Iranian attack on the
00:00:59American soil. saying the real enemy
00:01:01of the American people is their own administration. Ismail
00:01:05Bagai made the remarks
00:01:06in a social media post after
00:01:08of Donald Trump suggested in a public address that Iran could take
00:01:12out the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego. Iran's foreign
00:01:16ministry spokesman said to frighten their own people, US leaders
00:01:20conjure up an imaginary enemy in the sky to
00:01:23overshadow the real threat on the ground. He added that the
00:01:27real danger to American
00:01:28of people lies
00:01:29in a ruling... establishment that has imposed any legal war on
00:01:33the world with
00:01:34of global consequences. he noted that Trump has even described
00:01:38the destruction of Los Angeles and San Diego as quote,
00:01:42very small price to pay. baghay said this is
00:01:45textbook example
00:01:47of the politics of fear, frightening people with an imaginary
00:01:51threat, portraying the destruction
00:01:52of their own cities as acceptable price to pay, and
00:01:56diverting their
00:01:57of attention from the real danger.
00:02:02Despite earlier denials, the US War department has admitted that
00:02:06the number of troops who have died in the aggression against Iran is
00:02:10higher than previously reported. According to the Washington Post, the
00:02:14Pentagon in its latest report has raised
00:02:17of official death tool of US troops linked to military aggression against
00:02:21Iran to 21, acknowledging that two additional deaths
00:02:25had not previously been included in its figures. The newly included
00:02:29deaths are an army major who died in Kuwait on March the
00:02:336th and an unidentified navy service unidentified
00:02:37navy service
00:02:38of member who died by suicide in September also showed that
00:02:41865 US service members have been also
00:02:44wounded during the aggression against
00:02:46of Iran. Separately
00:02:48of the US military confirmed the death of another soldier in Iraq
00:02:52claiming that he lost his life
00:02:54in a training accident unrelated to the aggression
00:02:57against Iran. The update came. after the Washington Post reported
00:03:01last month that the number of casualties from the war was greater than what the
00:03:05Pentagon has disclosed publicly. At the same time, US four
00:03:09secretary Pete Hagsath called that report a complete
00:03:12lie.
00:03:17of Author and journalist Robert fantination against Iran as
00:03:21necessary against Iran as necessary and financial
00:03:25cause, the American and financial cause, the American public
00:03:29of sees it as an... that has been very costly, that has been
00:03:33very
00:03:33costly,
00:03:37now the recent revision of
00:03:40numbers up to 21, one might say is only
00:03:44two soldiers, however for those two soldiers
00:03:47in a loved ones, that's extremely significant, and the fact
00:03:51that the United States government was willing to ignore them or avoid their
00:03:55reality, certainly insulted and degraded to not only those
00:03:59victims and but all the military who are being forced
00:04:03into this awful situation,
00:04:06so Donald Trump wants
00:04:09of the
00:04:09of U.S. populist to look at this as something unimportant, not
00:04:13costly in terms of lives or money, and just
00:04:17just necessary military adventure. It is none of those things, it has been
00:04:21extremely costly in terms of lives and money, and it
00:04:24is a
00:04:26of completely
00:04:28of unnecessary and
00:04:28of illegal and immoral aggression. against Iran, there does seem to be
00:04:31something uh, a little unusual about
00:04:34of that, if nearly 900 were injured and only 21
00:04:38died, and again I'm not minimizing
00:04:40in any way the lives of those 21 were
00:04:42of lost, but it does seem to be rather strange proportion,
00:04:46now the
00:04:47of soldier who died in Kuwait apparently was killed
00:04:51when the uh Iranian forces
00:04:55attacked US bases in in Kuwait, so the
00:04:59fact that only one person died in that uh,
00:05:02of we can see it is fortunate, but is it
00:05:04true?
00:05:08meanwhile, Iran has
00:05:10of of of taken of European countries to task for their... inaction in the face of
00:05:13US sanctions on the international criminal court and Washington's
00:05:17threat to dismantle it. In social media post, Iran's foreign ministry
00:05:21spokesman said, while US secretary of state Mark Rubio threatens to
00:05:25dismantle the ICC brick by brick, its allies
00:05:29failed to rain it that international orders collapsed, that international
00:05:32orders collapsed not only through aggression, but when the use of force
00:05:36becomes normalized and the world remains silent. He then asked
00:05:40European countries, does standing alongside ally mean
00:05:44defending international law and order, what does it mean
00:05:47joining that ally and defend and dismantling them? the
00:05:51spokesman added that if law and justice are sacrificed to
00:05:55appease an aggressive and bullying ally, then talk of
00:05:59human rights and a rules-based international order will be
00:06:02nothing more than empty rhetoric. the ICC says the US
00:06:06sanctions constitute a attempt to obstruct justice and
00:06:10prevent the tribunal from fulfilling its mandate, the UN has
00:06:14also called US sanctions on the ICC, serious blow to the
00:06:18world's collective pursuit of international
00:06:20justice.
00:06:26Investigative journalist Rick Sterling says, while the US wants
00:06:30manipulating international organizations to serve its
00:06:33interests, it is now increasingly defying international law
00:06:37and acting like a
00:06:38gangster.
00:06:43In the past, the US was able to manipulate international
00:06:46organizations to do its
00:06:49bidding, but increasingly it's
00:06:53it's defying international law openly. I think it's clear
00:06:57to all people that the United States is increasingly
00:07:00acting like a gangster. If you do its bidding, it will
00:07:04reward you, if you defy it or you
00:07:08show some resistance, then it will punish
00:07:11you. "and we see an example of another country that
00:07:15has been doing this for decades, and that of course is is
00:07:19Israel, and with the genocide in Gaza, with the rampant
00:07:23attacks on palest, Palestinians in the West Bank, the war
00:07:27on Iran, including the murder of thousands of
00:07:30innocents, it seems like we're returning to an era in the
00:07:33past that was the Vietnam war where the United States was
00:07:37hated around the world, and it's um,
00:07:41it's really a sign." of how pathetic the European
00:07:45elite is, that they are not willing to to stand
00:07:48up and to to indicate some
00:07:52resistance. the prime minister, prime minister Motley of
00:07:56Barbados is showing more courage than any the
00:08:00European leaders and talking about how how bad
00:08:04this is, and and how there needs to be a uh
00:08:07reevaluation of where we're at at the United
00:08:09Nations.
00:08:13Another news, french president, Emmanuel Macron's popularity has fallen to
00:08:17its lowest level since taking office in 2017. This
00:08:21according to new pull which was published on Saturday. The survey found
00:08:25that just 15% of respondents approved Macron's performance
00:08:29as president, down one points from a month earlier and the lowest
00:08:33score of his presidency. Most respondents have cited
00:08:37purchasing power as their top concern, followed by worries about
00:08:41the future the countries that. levels, the poll versus debt
00:08:44levels, the poll results came as France faces
00:08:48record fuel prices and massive protest by high school
00:08:51students. for many days and now protesters, including many students
00:08:55have been rolling outside of schools, chancing anti-government
00:08:59slogans. the government says thousands, mostly minors have been
00:09:03arrested since the unrest began. the poll also reveal that
00:09:06among politicians seen as potential successors to macron,
00:09:10far right leaders Jordan Bar and are the most
00:09:14popular.
00:09:194 thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets the turkish city of
00:09:23Istanbul in support of Palestinians demanding an end to
00:09:27Israel's genocidal war on
00:09:28Gaza.
00:09:40Filistin'de dökülen. I am here for Palestine, I am here
00:09:44so that the blood of poor young children, of people, of innocent people being shed
00:09:48in Palestine will stop. Israel must now put an end to the blood it is spilling
00:09:52around the world and stop this genocide. We Muslims, and not only
00:09:56Muslims, but all people in the world must finally put an end to the suppressor's
00:10:00game and stop the
00:10:00bloodshed.
00:10:05Waving a Palestinian and Turkish flags, the demonstrators march through the
00:10:09Istanbul on the global day of action. for Palestine.
00:10:13They called for global pressure on Israel, saying that remaining neutral in the
00:10:17face of this genocide amounts to complicity. On the third
00:10:21anniversary the beginning the genocidal war, a considerable number.
00:10:25of cities around the globe has been the scene of pro-
00:10:29palestine
00:10:29rallies.
00:10:33well people have rallied in the Venezuelan capital of Caracus in
00:10:36solidarity with the Palestinian people and to condemn three years of
00:10:40genocide in Gaza. Demonstrators say Palestine has become
00:10:44a symbol of resistance and human dignity, linking in the
00:10:48Palestinian struggle against the occupation and
00:10:51colonialism to the historical experiences of Latin America.
00:10:59Well defending Palestine is a way what people today is a
00:11:02way what people today refer to as the cause of humanity understanding
00:11:06that colonialist actions
00:11:08that are just as relevant to us as Latin American peoples so it's a connection
00:11:12that we can boil down to that in the most straightforward terms to defending
00:11:16the cause of humanity
00:11:17basically.
00:11:23Palestine is a symbol of resistance. Palestine is a symbol of human
00:11:26dignity. Palestine calls upon and unites critical voices,
00:11:30voices of solidarity and the compassion of peoples. And here we are from
00:11:34Venezuela, the Venezuelan movement for solidarity with Palestine and
00:11:38other social organizations. Making this exhibition possible a call
00:11:42for solidarity, to denounce the genocide, to denounce and demand an end to
00:11:46the genocide that over the past three years, well has
00:11:50claimed the lives of 75,00 people, most them
00:11:53minors, children.
00:12:25what we have witnessed over the past three years has been an intensification of what
00:12:28Palestinians have actually endured for more than seven
00:12:31decades, so it is a collective responsibility, a
00:12:35global, international responsibility to join our voices and take
00:12:38concrete actions, actions that unite us, whether through
00:12:42culture, music, activism, calls for boycots, or
00:12:46calls for sanctions, so that international law is respected, so that
00:12:50Palestine may be free and sovereign, so that the right of return is
00:12:53fulfilled, and so that... well finally, and so that, well,
00:12:57finally, Palestine can be free from the river to, well,
00:13:01across the United States protests were held against Washington's
00:13:04complicity in three years of genocide in Gaza. The horrific
00:13:08devastation waged by Israel would not be possible without the weapons
00:13:12and support the United States. Ramon Mazahiri has more from
00:13:16Washington
00:13:17DC.
00:13:22supporters of Palestine across the United States join. the
00:13:25international global day of action on October 10th to
00:13:29finally stop the US-Israeli genocide in
00:13:32Gaza. The global outrage took place on the day
00:13:35of last year's so-called cease fire. Israel has
00:13:39attacked Gaza on almost 330 out the
00:13:43past 365 days, killing almost
00:13:461,500 Gazans. For three years, no
00:13:50country other than Israel has been more complicit in the horrors than
00:13:54Washington. where a bipartisan effort has given Israel the
00:13:58military, political and economic support required to
00:14:01murder at least 3% of Gaza's entire
00:14:05population, with the actual figure likely much
00:14:08higher. the generation in America that was raised with the idea
00:14:12that we won the ideological war, and uh, we are the good guys
00:14:16that abide by the human rights. um, have seen definitively
00:14:19that that is false. uh, the um, our leaders, whether
00:14:23they are a democrat or republican uh, do not value human rights or human
00:14:27life? I think it doesn't matter where this Democrat or Republicans is
00:14:31unacceptable to fund this, this is absolutely horrid, and we're watching it
00:14:35live streamed on TikTok, Instagram and through our phones, it's it's
00:14:38absolutely unacceptable and it needs that now. In what many believe is
00:14:42a prelude to attempt at Israeli occupation,
00:14:4682% of Gaza's buildings have been destroyed,
00:14:49displacing 90% the population, most the water
00:14:53and sanitation network has... been demolished along with
00:14:5690% of schools and 300 journalists have been killed
00:15:00in the last 3 years, but unlike past Israeli
00:15:04war crimes, this one couldn't be covered up. the social
00:15:08media is on our side now before it
00:15:11wasn't. um, the propaganda is less now, people are
00:15:15more aware. uh, we definitely won media war,
00:15:19people are more aware of what's going on in palestine, before a lot of people
00:15:22didn't know what's going on, what's actually going? not in Palestine. In an
00:15:26enormous political shift, polls now show that Americans
00:15:30sympathize more with Palestinians, the first ever live stream
00:15:33genocide. The first ever live stream genocide has finally revealed.
00:15:37to the entire world what the zionist imperialist project
00:15:41has always been. Ramen Masahari, press TV,
00:15:44Washington DC. Moving now over to the
00:15:48German capital, which saw the largest demonstration for Palestine since last
00:15:52year on global Day of Action with tens of thousands marching
00:15:56through Berlin on Saturday. Organized by the Coalition
00:16:00United for Palestine, the demonstration was marked by zinus
00:16:03provocations, heavy police presence and several arrests.
00:16:07Our corresponds reports from
00:16:09Berlin.
00:16:14No peace on stolen land was the slogan of this setter this demonstration marking
00:16:18the third anniversary the luxaflot operation in Berlin. According
00:16:22to the organizers around 20,000 participants answered United for
00:16:26Palestine's call. They demonstrated outside the chancellary and on the streets
00:16:30the capital against occupation displacement and German support for
00:16:33cionist and imperialist atrocities in West Asia.
00:17:07From the government, the arms trade to Israel has further increased
00:17:11since the beginning the year, as late as August of this
00:17:15year, Germany finished manufacturing a new submarine for the
00:17:19Israeli army. The goal of today's
00:17:22demonstration is to mobilize as many people as possible to hold German armed shipments
00:17:26to the genocidal state. The German federal government and the parliamentary
00:17:30establishment have no interest in standing up for
00:17:32Palestinives. Pols show that 80% the German
00:17:35population opposes armed shipments. to Israel, we are standing here in the
00:17:39government district, directly opposite the chancellorry, and it is precisely here that we
00:17:43intend to make those voices heard. Paul showed that the german population is
00:17:46overwhelmingly opposed to german complicity in the genocide, but
00:17:50also to german assistance in the US Israel aggression against
00:17:54Iran. one the main military airfields from which attacks
00:17:58against Iran were conducted is the US airbase
00:18:01Ramstein in Germany. two years
00:18:05ago, wearing cafia in public was fround.
00:18:15By now it is clear everyone what is happening in Gaza is a
00:18:19genocide, it has not stopped and the whole world is watching.
00:18:22Although the demonstration remained peaceful, it saw heavy police presence and
00:18:26several arrests were made for expressing support for the resistance
00:18:30forces and for using the slogan from the river to the sea palestine will be free.
00:18:34Natürlich haben
00:18:35wir auch gesehen
00:18:37of course there. some arrests too, unfortunately that is normal in
00:18:40Berlin, but we succeeded because we were able to hold the
00:18:43demonstration. people made their voices heard. we must keep going
00:18:47until the killing stops. that is why i am here today. the united
00:18:50for gaza damon was another strong statement from the German
00:18:54population to their government. the German people
00:18:57disapproved their government's complicity in the genocide, as
00:19:01indicate chants days are
00:19:04numbered, from Berlin.
00:19:12well just
00:19:13year after a supposed gaza cease fire took effect, palestinians
00:19:17are still being killed and families still remain trapped among the
00:19:20ruins. now campaigners a large rally in Paris are demanding
00:19:24an end to armed sales to Israel and action against what they
00:19:28described as continuing genocide and ethnic cleansing. from
00:19:32Paris, Peter Humy has the
00:19:33details.
00:19:38Several thousand demonstrators have taken to the streets of Paris calling for
00:19:42an end to Israeli attacks on Gaza. The protest marked the first
00:19:46anniversary the ceasefire broken by the US and its allies. The
00:19:50ceastfire was supposed to mean safety, but as protesters marching through
00:19:54downtown Paris on Saturday, ask what cease fire?
00:19:57Israel did not respect any of
00:20:01its obligations, it did not
00:20:04withdraw from the Gaza strip and then went... on
00:20:08day after day, and I wouldn't even say hour
00:20:12after hour, to murder the
00:20:15Palestinian people, since October 10,
00:20:192025, more than
00:20:221500 Palestinians the
00:20:25Gaza Strip, mostly civilians,
00:20:29women, children, elderly people have been
00:20:33murd by Israel, behind those numbers, another family berries
00:20:37another place left empty, another promise of protection that failed. the
00:20:41test of a cease fire activists here say is whether people can live
00:20:45safely, where a child can go to sleep without fear, where the
00:20:48injured can receive treat. and where families can go
00:20:52home. it's a sease fire
00:20:53they add that Israel has disregarded with impunity while its
00:20:57allies look on unwilling or unable to
00:21:01act. in the west bank, palestinian communities face settler
00:21:05attacks, intimidation and the loss their land. the appeal for
00:21:08October 10th calls for recognition of Palestinian rights and an
00:21:12end to the killing of Palestinians in Gaza, the west bank and the
00:21:16occupied territories. lot of people are fighting for Palestine, it's obvious.
00:21:20that uh France and lot of European countries are
00:21:23really um sure about what's happening in Palestine and they
00:21:27can't keep silencing us anymore uh and they will have to respond to
00:21:31us. In France, the mobilization also forms part of a month of
00:21:34action against arms sales to Israel, involving half dozen
00:21:38NGOs and human rights associations. What we
00:21:41call the international community uh
00:21:45with reference to uh the
00:21:48governments uh... "they are
00:21:51all uh accomplice of what's going
00:21:54on, what's going on, some
00:21:58them go, Germany, France,
00:22:02Romany, France, go continuing
00:22:05weapon delivery to Israel, their demand is
00:22:09concrete, stop supplying weapons, protect civilians
00:22:13and hold those responsible for abuses to
00:22:16account. Peter Humy for Press TV in Paris.
00:22:22Well thousands of people have held a protest in the Portuguese capital of
00:22:26Lisbon as they're unhappy with cos of living, high rents and low
00:22:30wages.
00:22:44Wages aren't keeping up with the rising cost
00:22:46of living, we're standing up for our rights and
00:23:20"and that's why we're taking to the streets to
00:23:21protest.
00:23:27some the protesters in Lisbon said wages are not keeping up with the
00:23:31rising cost of living, demanding better access to housing and
00:23:35healthcare. other Portuguese cities, including Porto and
00:23:39Braga, witness similar demonstrations. the rallies are held,
00:23:43as according to experts, many are forced to remain in their parents
00:23:46homes or live further away from the cities where they work.
00:23:50Analysts say the housing crisis in the European country is compounded
00:23:54by rising food, fuel and energy prices, leaving
00:23:57households with less purchasing
00:23:59power.
00:24:04Well, that brings us to the end of this hours bulletin. Thank you very much for watching and goodbye for
00:24:08now.
00:24:30July 31st, 2026, nighttime straight of
00:24:33Hormus, southern Iran. The United States launched a
00:24:37heavy wave of strikes against command centers,
00:24:40radars, surveillance systems and air defense positions
00:24:44across southern Iran, intended to make the skies over southern
00:24:47Iran safer for American aircraft. but just hours later
00:24:51something unexpected happened. an
00:24:55American MQ9 Reaper was shot down over the straight of
00:24:58Hormus. The MQ9 is no ordinary
00:25:02drone. It is one of America's primary platforms for intelligence,
00:25:06surveillance, reconnaissance and precision strikes, capable of remaining
00:25:10airborn for more than a full day while carrying an advanced suite of sensors
00:25:14and weapons,
00:25:15and this was not the first reaper lost. Since the beginning the war,
00:25:19Iran has... taken around 50 MQ9 Reapers out of
00:25:22operation, roughly one quarter the entire US reaper
00:25:26fleet, but the real story was only beginning. Shortly
00:25:29afterward, an F-35 entered the picture, one the world's most
00:25:33advanced combat aircraft, designed specifically to penetrate
00:25:37sophisticated air defense networks, but stealth does not mean
00:25:40invisible. One radar may detect only faint
00:25:44signature, infrared sensor may pick up the heat from its engines,
00:25:47another system may detect its electronic. emissions and when the
00:25:51information from all these systems is connected through a single network,
00:25:55much clearer picture the target begins to emerge. that same night,
00:25:59the tracking the f35 reach the level. quality
00:26:03lock, a warning the pilot could not ignore, the F-35
00:26:07did not continue its mission and quickly left the area, and perhaps that
00:26:11is the most important part the story: air defense success does not
00:26:14always mean shooting an aircraft down, sometimes it is enough to
00:26:18stop an aircraft designed to penetrate hostile airspace from completing
00:26:22its mission, and now for the United States, the issue
00:26:26is no longer simply the loss of an MQ9 or the retreat of an
00:26:30F35. The bigger question is, How could a network whose
00:26:33radars and key components had been attacked only hours earlier
00:26:37remain operational and still force one of America's most
00:26:41advanced aircraft to abandon its mission, incident that
00:26:45now forces the United States to rethink not just a flight path,
00:26:49but its entire calculation over Iran's
00:26:51skies. The
00:26:55equation in Iran's skies is no longer the
00:26:58same.
