00:00:04Iranian attack on the American soil, saying US leaders
00:00:08of conjure up an
00:00:09of imaginary enemy to frighten their own
00:00:11people. Despite earlier denials, the
00:00:14Pentagon admits that the number of troops killed in the aggression against
00:00:18Iran is higher than previously reported with nearly 900
00:00:22of entries. And finally, this

00:00:50Hello and welcome everyone, you're watching Press TV World News. Let's go ahead and get started with
00:00:54this hour's top stories. Iran's
00:00:58foreign
00:00:58of ministry spokesman has slamed. the US president's latest claim about a
00:01:02possible Iranian attack on the American soil, saying the real enemy
00:01:06of the American people is their own administration. Ismail
00:01:10Baghayi made the remarks
00:01:12of in a social media post after Donald Trump suggested in a public address that Iran
00:01:16could take out the cities of Los Angeles and San
00:01:20in Diego. Iran's foreign ministry spokesman
00:01:22of said to frighten their own people, US leaders conjure up imaginary
00:01:26enemy in the sky to oversh shadow the real threat.
00:01:30on the ground. He added that the real danger to American people
00:01:34lies
00:01:34in a ruling
00:01:35of establishment of that has imposed an
00:01:37of illegal war on the world with global consequences. He noted that
00:01:41Trump has even
00:01:42of described the destruction of Los Angeles and San Diego as quote "a
00:01:46very small price to pay." Bai said
00:01:49of this is textbook example of politics of fear,
00:01:53frightening people with an imaginary threat, portraying the
00:01:56of destruction
00:01:57of their own
00:01:57of cities of as acceptable price to pay. and diverting their
00:02:01attention from the real
00:02:02danger. well now joining
00:02:06us here in our Tahran studios are pressed tv colleague for more
00:02:09elaboration on the story. zenab as always
00:02:11in thank you very much for joining us. let's go and start off in this regard a
00:02:15textbook example
00:02:16of the politics of fear as some may say that also Donald
00:02:20Trump is uh as expected using this as perhaps even a
00:02:24pretext to carry out a attack on Iran with the
00:02:28same excuse. a possibility. opinion, of course, and
00:02:32it's not just Trump, it's the entire, and it's not just Trump, it's the entire
00:02:36US establishment, let's not forget that the very
00:02:39existence is on the colonization and massacre
00:02:43and murder of millions of indigenous
00:02:46Americans who were there thousands
00:02:48a of years before uh, the US was discovered by Europeans
00:02:52and for them to be able to carry out that mass murder, they claim
00:02:56that that land has been promised to them by God, and for and
00:03:00after that they went after
00:03:02of Africans of in Africa to bring them to the United States to slave away
00:03:06and build the new land that they just um occupy
00:03:09and after that
00:03:10of for those people were slaved to get their independence they continued to fight them and call
00:03:14them fascis and for the US to expand its empire it claimed that it
00:03:18was fighting um you know um communism around the
00:03:22world and after that it was the the war on drugs and after
00:03:26that it was the war on terrorism every single time the United States is
00:03:30planning to expand its projects, its hegemony around the
00:03:34world, it create new enemy to justify the crime
00:03:38that it is trying to commit, we all know it, it has everything to do with
00:03:41stealing new
00:03:42of resources, it
00:03:43of has everything to do with controlling more, more territories, more sovereign
00:03:47territories and to expand us egemony around the world,
00:03:51so calling you know this false flag attacks that
00:03:55is being they're trying to place
00:03:57in on Iran by preparing the minds
00:03:59of the... population, I think many people have woken up uh
00:04:03to this fallacy and may not forf of course those who are the Trump
00:04:07core supporters will always believe whatever Trump says, but I think
00:04:10average Americans who have a little bit of reasoning left uh know that
00:04:14this is all a line, it has everything to do with you expanding American
00:04:18egmany. Well, Zainab, in that regard,
00:04:21of as you mention what the Americans are realizing these days in
00:04:25reality, what is coming out of Trump, and of course, as you mentioned the other parties,
00:04:29there's... also Mr Bai said that the real danger
00:04:32in to the American people lies
00:04:34in in a ruling establishment, lot
00:04:36of the American people have realized that some
00:04:38of the administration have been taken
00:04:41of advantage
00:04:41of uh of this geographical advantage as they have been saying, the location
00:04:45of the US in the world in the globe of course has been the one
00:04:48of the reasons why they have been making the decisions that they have, but they are also realizing
00:04:52that this will not last. exactly
00:04:56Katlin, recently there
00:04:57of was a poll that was conducted and many... US citizens are
00:05:01less likely to identify as US citizen when they're traveling outside
00:05:05the United States because of Trump's policy, they are more likely to
00:05:08identify as coming from Canada or any other European country.
00:05:13the the amount of hate that the United States has created around the world
00:05:16because of its policy, that is not just from Trump, the the policy
00:05:20the US all around the globe, and especially after witnessing what
00:05:24happened in Gaza, and knowing that it was the US the spearheaded that genocide, it
00:05:28was the US that funded that genocide, it was the US that provided
00:05:32um, the military hardware needed to carry out
00:05:35that genocide, and it was the US that led the diplomatic and also
00:05:38international control to protect Israel from accountability, by
00:05:42also sanctioning the ICC that was trying to investigate what
00:05:46the uh Israeli uh were doing in Gaza,
00:05:49so many people, especially what the the policies the United
00:05:53States is making citizens the US less safe, and let's not forget
00:05:57within the United States, every single year thousands of people were killed
00:06:01by gunshot, by police, many people were kidnapped or
00:06:05stalling, many people are trafficked around the world, many people cannot even
00:06:08afford basic healthcare because the way the United State is been.
00:06:12so the enemy is from within, not outside, if you calculate how many people
00:06:16are dying by direct US policy itself, internally, it's
00:06:20far exceed those were killed by so-called terrorism outside. well,
00:06:24on that point, as always like to thank you very much for joining us here in our tariran studio,
00:06:28our colleague Zainab
00:06:29zakaria.
00:06:33well, despite earlier denials, the US war department has admitted that
00:06:37the number of troops who have died in the aggression against Iran is higher
00:06:41than previously reported. According to the Washington Post, the
00:06:44Pentagon in its latest report has raised the official death tool of
00:06:48US troops linked to military aggression against Iran to
00:06:5221, acknowledging that two additional deaths had not previously
00:06:56been included in its figures. The newly included deaths are an
00:07:00army major who died in Kuwait on March the 6th, and an
00:07:03unidentified navy service member who died by suicide in
00:07:07September. The updated figures also showed that
00:07:10865 US service. members have also been
00:07:14wounded during the aggression against Iran. Separately, the US
00:07:18military confirmed the death of another soldier in Iraq,
00:07:21claiming that he had lost his life a training accident
00:07:25unrelated to the aggression against Iran. The update came
00:07:29after the Washington Post reported last month that the number of
00:07:32casualties from the war was greater than what the Pentagon has disclosed
00:07:36publicly. At the time, US War secretary Pete Hagseth
00:07:40called that report a complete.
00:07:42lie, well author
00:07:46and journalist Robert Fantina says, although Trump portray
00:07:50says, although Trump portrays the aggression against Iran as
00:07:53necessary and downplays its human, American public sees it as an
00:07:57unnecessary war of choice that has been very
00:08:00costly.
00:08:05now the recent revision of
00:08:09numbers up to 21, one might say:
00:08:12only two soldiers, however, for those two
00:08:15soldiers ins, that's extremely significant, and
00:08:19the fact that government was willing to ignore them or avoid
00:08:23their reality, certainly degraded to not only
00:08:26those victims and their loves, but all the military who are
00:08:30being forced into this awful situation,
00:08:34so Donald Trump wants the US
00:08:38populist to look at this as something unimportant, not
00:08:41costly in term. of lives or money and just
00:08:45just necessary military adventure, it is none of those things, it has been
00:08:49extremely costly in terms of lives and money, and it
00:08:52is a completely unnecessary and
00:08:56illegal and immoral aggression against Iran. there does seem to be
00:09:00something a little unusual about that if nearly
00:09:03900 were injured and only 21 died and again i'm not
00:09:07minimizing 21 died and again i'm not minimizing any way the lives of those
00:09:1121 were lost. but it does seem to be rather strange
00:09:15proportion who died in Kuwait apparently was
00:09:19killed when the uh Iranian
00:09:21forces attacked US bases in in
00:09:25Kuwait, so the fact that only one person died in
00:09:29that uh, we can see
00:09:31it is fortunate, but is it true?
00:09:35well, Iran has taken European countries to task for their
00:09:38inaction in the face of US sanctions on the international criminal court.
00:09:43and Washington's threat to dismantle it, a social media, dismantle
00:09:46it, a social media post, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman
00:09:50Marubio threatens to dismantle the ICC brick by
00:09:53brick, its allies failed to rain it in. Ismile
00:09:57badded that international orders collapse
00:09:59not usa force becomes normalized and usa force becomes
00:10:03normalized and the world remains silent. He then asked European
00:10:07countries does standing alongside ally mean in defending
00:10:10international law and order. or does it mean joining that ally
00:10:14and dismantling them? the spokesman added that if law and justice
00:10:18are sacrificed to appease an aggressive and bullying ally then
00:10:22talk of human rights and a rules based international order will be
00:10:26nothing more than empty rhetoric. the ICC says US sanctions
00:10:30constitute attempt to obstruct justice and prevent the tribunal from
00:10:34fulfilling its mandate. the UN has also called
00:10:38US sanctions on the ICC serious blow to the
00:10:41world's collective pursuit of international
00:10:44justice.
00:10:49for his part, investigative journalist Rick Sterling says, while the U.S.
00:10:53once manipulated international organiz organizations to serve its
00:10:56interests, it is now increasingly defying
00:10:59international law and acting like a
00:11:02gangster. in the past, the US
00:11:06was able to manipulate international
00:11:09organizations to do its
00:11:11bidding, but increasingly
00:11:14it's it's defying international law openly. i
00:11:18think it's clear to all people that the united states is
00:11:22increasingly acting like a gangster. "if you do its bidding,
00:11:26it will reward you, if you defy it or
00:11:29you show some resistance, then it will
00:11:33punish you, and we see an example of another
00:11:37country that has been doing this for decades, and that of course
00:11:40is is Israel, and with the genocide in
00:11:44Gaza, with the rampant attacks on palestinians in the west
00:11:48bank, the war on Iran, including the murder of
00:11:52thousands of innocents, it seems like we're..." turning to an era
00:11:56in the past that was the Vietnam war where the United States was
00:11:59hated around the world, and it's um,
00:12:03it's really a sign of how pathetic the
00:12:06European
00:12:08elite is, that they are not willing to to stand up and
00:12:11to to indicate some resistance, the
00:12:15prime minister, prime minister Motley of Barbados is
00:12:19showing more courage than any the European leaders
00:12:23and talking about
00:12:25how how bad this is and and how there needs to be
00:12:28a uh reevaluation of where we're at the United
00:12:32Nations.
00:12:36In other news, US President Donald Trump says it's time for Ukraine to
00:12:40get new president after he announced a deal with Russia on diesel
00:12:44supplies. Trump said Ukrainian president Voladimir
00:12:47Zelensky could have ended the war with Russia many times but
00:12:51chose not to. He criticized Zelinski for ignoring warnings.
00:12:55against striking Russian refining facilities, saying Kyev had
00:12:59been told not to hit the refineries because of its fallout a
00:13:02global scale. Trump's comment come came as the
00:13:06Ukrainian president said the oil agreement looks like a quote birthday
00:13:10president for the Russian president. Trump had said on Friday
00:13:14that the deal with Russia over diesel supplies will lower fuel prices.
00:13:18He added that Vladimir Putin agreed to sell more than 300,000 tons
00:13:22of diesel to the US and global markets. Analys have
00:13:25cast doubt that the agreement will bring down energy costs
00:13:29worldwide.
00:13:34Thousands of people have thousands of people have held a
00:13:38protest in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon as they're unhappy with
00:13:42cost of living, high rents and low
00:13:44wages.
00:14:55The rallies are held as, according to experts, many are forced to remain
00:14:59in their parents homes or live further away from the cities where they
00:15:02work. Analysts say the housing crisis in the European country
00:15:06is compounded by rising food, fuel and energy with
00:15:10less purchasing power, with less purchasing
00:15:13power
00:15:18of demonstrators who have taken to the streets of demonstrators who have taken to the
00:15:22streets the Turkish city of Istanbul and of
00:15:25Palestinians demanding an end to Israel's genocidal war on
00:15:28Gaza.
00:15:45children, of people, of innocent people being shed in Palestine will stop.
00:15:49Israel must now put an end to the blood, it is spilling around the world and stop this
00:15:53genocide. we muslims, and not only Muslims, but all people in the
00:15:57world must finally put an end to the suppressors game and stop the
00:16:00bloodshed.
00:16:04waving a palestinian and turkish flags, the demonstrators marched. threw
00:16:07Istanbul on the Global Day of Action for Palestine. They called for global
00:16:11pressure on Israel, saying that remaining neutral in the face the genocide
00:16:15amounts to complicity. On the third anniversary the beginning the genocidal
00:16:19war, a considerable number of cities around the globe has been the scene
00:16:23of pro- palestine rallies. Well, we're
00:16:27going to go and cross over now live to Minab southern Iran where correspondent
00:16:30Minini is joined by Iran's deputy foreign minister Kazim
00:16:34gharbabadi as he's there meeting with families of civilians killed. there in
00:16:37Minab. Morin, go ahead and take it from here please. Yes, good
00:16:41morning to you, Katelin. I am in the city of Minab in the
00:16:44shajar school, school that was targeted by the
00:16:48US in the very first day the war against
00:16:52the imposed war against Iran an attack in which
00:16:56168 innocent lives were taken,
00:16:59most them children, but now today I am here
00:17:03with Iran's deputy foreign minister for
00:17:07legal. and international affairs, kazim gharibabadi who
00:17:10just had a meeting with the families the victims the attack, the
00:17:14families the victims had the chance to
00:17:17basically demand justice for the blood their children and also
00:17:21the deputy foreign minister also
00:17:25discussed the ramifications the attack, but now we are going to hear
00:17:29from him, please tell us what are the
00:17:33ramifications of this attack as far as international law is
00:17:36concerned?
00:17:37girls
00:17:56and boys and also some
00:18:00of teachers
00:18:03have lost their lives in accordance with international.
00:18:07law and international humanitarian law, the children,
00:18:11the educational centers, hospitals
00:18:14infrastructures are immune attack, but unfortunately the
00:18:18United States of America violated all these
00:18:22international principals and disregard, so
00:18:25that was clear crime against humanity and very
00:18:29clear world crimes, so we are so determined
00:18:33to so legally this issue not only at the level the domestic.
00:18:38but also the
00:18:39the level f courts and international judicial system,
00:18:43so the indicment was issued regarding this crime
00:18:46before the judicial the Islamic Republic of Iran, we have
00:18:50received the necessary evidences from the judiciary, we have established
00:18:54a committee composed of very eminent
00:18:57professional lawyers and this regard we are preparing
00:19:01ourselves to open some judicial cases
00:19:04people in this regard, the United States should be held.
00:19:07accountable and responsible for the crime that has committed and just
00:19:11regard law principles, human rights, law
00:19:14principles, human rights law principles and also
00:19:18international law principles and the provisions the charter the
00:19:21united nations, all these
00:19:24prohibiting actually attacking the children educational centers in
00:19:28this regard, so we will pursue this issue as we have
00:19:32highlighted also these can beholding international forums and
00:19:36international organizations. various levels, that's right,
00:19:40you just explained to the families that some other countries have
00:19:44also filed the cases against the the crime, would you also
00:19:47explain that to our viewers? we have been informed that some
00:19:51foreign lawyers in some european countries and also even in the United States of
00:19:55America, they have showed interest in this issue and some them on
00:19:59the voluntary basis, so started some
00:20:03investigation and also they have opened some
00:20:07cases. be for the judicials in this regard,
00:20:10so I think that that's a very good
00:20:13move, I believe that that's the
00:20:15responsibility the the
00:20:19various people in the European countries
00:20:21that claiming hum, so that that is very very important, we
00:20:25support all these moves and also if they need any
00:20:28evidencees so they can contact us, also they can contact the
00:20:32civil society in Iran, we will provide them with all necessary
00:20:36evidences. to let them to pursue those judicial cases
00:20:40before the foreign forces. I believe that the opening one or
00:20:44two cases is not enough, several cases should be opened
00:20:48before various groups. That's right. Thank you very much, thank you
00:20:50sir,
00:20:52yes, yes
00:20:55deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs the Islamic
00:20:59Republic of Iran, the families still have the grief, perhaps the grief will
00:21:03never end, but one thing that was very vivid in today's meeting with the
00:21:07deputy minister is the family determination to pursue
00:21:10justice for the blood their children, well that
00:21:14points, as always like to thank you very much of course for that very exclusive
00:21:17interview with our correspon from Iran's deputy for mister Mr. Qazim
00:21:21Garab Ababadi there in the southern city of Minab. Thank you, as always
00:21:25Moin. Well, another
00:21:29news, people have rallied in the Venezuelan capital of Caracus
00:21:33in solidarity them three years of genocide in Gaza dem three years
00:21:36of genocide in Gaza. Demonstrators say Palestine has become
00:21:40a symbol of resistance and human dignity, linking the
00:21:44Palestinian struggle against occupation and colonialism to the
00:21:47historical experiences of Latin America.
00:22:20is a symbol of human dignity. Palestine calls upon and unites critical
00:22:24voices, voices of solidarity and the compassion of peoples.
00:22:28And here we are from Venezuela, the Venezuelan movement for solidarity
00:22:32with Palestine and other social organizations, making this exhibition
00:22:35possible a call for solidarity, to denounce the genocide, to
00:22:39denounce and demand an end to the genocide that over the past three
00:22:43years, well has claimed the lives of 75,00
00:22:46people, most them minors, children, mothers.
00:23:20over the past three years has been an intensification of what Palestinians have
00:23:24actually endured for more than seven decades, so it is a collective
00:23:28responsibility, a global, international responsibility to
00:23:31join our voices and take concrete actions, actions that unite
00:23:35us, whether through culture, music, activism, calls
00:23:39for boycots or calls for sanctions, so that international law is
00:23:43respected, so that palestine may be free and sovereign, so that the right of
00:23:47return is fulfilled, and so that well,
00:23:55Well with that viewers, we end off this our bulletin. Thank you very much for watching and please stay tuned for
00:23:59latest updates. Bye for
00:24:00now.
00:24:21A story of Iran's resilience today, a US-Israel strike
00:24:25during the 40-day war in Iran hit a laser and plasma
00:24:29research facility in Tehran, and most people would assume that
00:24:33means shut down, silence, damage, end of work, but that's
00:24:37not what happened in the Islamic Republic of Iran, because within
00:24:40days the labs were running again, researchers back in the
00:24:44building, equipment being cleared and experiments
00:24:48restarting. so the first question writes itself: what
00:24:52exactly was the U.S. Israel strike supposed to stop? the
00:24:56answer is quite clear. it was attempt to attack Iran
00:25:00scientific infrastructure itself. many of you may
00:25:03ask, but why? let's unfold that. the facility is a
00:25:07working research center focused on plasma physics,
00:25:11photonics, biomedical imaging and industrial
00:25:14applications, the kind of science that moves between
00:25:17medicine, energy and materials. Hey, it is not
00:25:21just theory. The inventions are being applied in Iran's
00:25:25hospitals, industry, pharmaceuticals, even for
00:25:29gempstones. So if the goal was disruption, did the US and
00:25:33Israel succeed? The clear answer is no. Another question
00:25:36pops up, how is the work already continuing? Because Iranian
00:25:40scientists are framing this as deeper than physical
00:25:44damage. They believe it reflects pattern, pressure on
00:25:47Iran's scientific infrastructure. Something the US
00:25:51and Israel have been doing for decades, remember the target
00:25:55killings of Iran's nuclear scientists and cyber attacks on
00:25:59peaceful nuclear plants. Anyways, this attack... was another
00:26:03desperate attempt to disrupt years of research, expertise and
00:26:07technological progress instead of allowing the strike to
00:26:11define the institute's future, Iranian scientists
00:26:14returned within days to restore operations and restart
00:26:18projects at the center, the damage equipment is already
00:26:22being replaced and in some cases operated within domestically
00:26:26developed systems, so instead of shutting the work down, the
00:26:29US is really strike appears to have excellent. of safety,
00:26:32homes
00:26:33have in the city,
00:26:51a place
00:26:52been a place
00:26:52of safety, became a scene of death and destruction on Tuesday
00:26:56morning, June 12, strike hit four
00:26:58residential homes were completely destroyed and more than 10 others. were
00:27:02damaged, 15 civilians were killed, among them was a
00:27:06child, sayede mahya seddiqir a second grade student
00:27:10at Esmat elementary school. Mahya was a bright,
00:27:14kind and cheerful little girl. She used to walk into the school with
00:27:18smile on her face, now the only things left of her at school is a
00:27:21photograph a frame. The principal of Esmat
00:27:25Elementary School still struggles to talk about her. She says Majo was so sweet that
00:27:29she would often pick her up and hold her in her arms. Calling her
00:27:33affectionately, sweet little girl, how are you? But Mahiah's family
00:27:37had already suffered another loss. Her brother had been killed in an Israeli
00:27:41attack on their home in Tehran. After his death, the family left
00:27:45Tehran and went to Ostania Ashrafia hoping to find a safer
00:27:49place, but the war followed them there. Mahya,
00:27:52her father, her mother, and her older sister were killed in the missile
00:27:56strike along with other members their extended family. The school
00:28:00principal remembers calling mah. mother after her son was
00:28:03killed. she says the mother's voice was calm and patient. she had
00:28:07told her, we are fine, thank god, but they killed my son. now
00:28:11that the mother is buried beside her children, but mahyo's absence
00:28:15is still felt at her school. few days after the attack, the memorial
00:28:19ceremony was held at Esmat elementary school. her classmates,
00:28:23teachers and families gathered together, but this time one
00:28:26person was missing, one person was
00:28:29missing. her close said, She missed Mahya
00:28:33and wished she could still be beside them. She wanted Mahya to stay with
00:28:37them and grow up with them, but Mahya will never enter the third
00:28:41grade. The new school year is just around the corner. Soon the school
00:28:45bill will ring again, children will return to their classrooms,
00:28:48new books will be opened and third grade will begin, but this
00:28:52time there will be one less student. Madhya was supposed to be
00:28:56there, but all that remains in her classroom is empty seat and the
00:29:00memory of a little girl who was supposed to... grow up, study and
00:29:04build a future of her
00:29:05own.
