00:00:00of and ever since then, ever since that action, when they went on
00:00:04the roof in May 2021, the locals go out, they
00:00:08maintain the disruption, they
00:00:10of maintain the protests outside that
00:00:13factory. so the
00:00:17British
00:00:18of government um cancelled the watchkeeper drone contract, which was
00:00:22worth two billion
00:00:23pounds.
00:00:29at the crater of... Western Civilization,
00:00:31of of US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio tells a familiar
00:00:35story: Persians as villains, Athenians as
00:00:38heroes, but is that history or just Washington's preferred
00:00:42vision? Persians plundered the temples,
00:00:46they burn the shrines, they raised the acropolis to the ground. Case
00:00:50closed, not so fast, history has habit of
00:00:54talking back.
00:00:57Alexander, he had great respect for the Persian. culture, a little
00:01:01inconvenient for narrative that reduces Persia to an army
00:01:05of of Barbarians and Oscar winning filmmaker Oliver Stone
00:01:08has message for those lecturing the world its past. I think
00:01:12westerners don't understand completely in Persia. I would
00:01:15suggest and Persia. I would suggest this book is is a
00:01:19in great place to
00:01:20start.
00:01:25Washington may think it can dictate the narrative, but history has
00:01:29outlasted. fires before, and it has a warning for those who think
00:01:33they can rewrite it. you cannot change history, you'll be defeated
00:01:37by the forces of history, which are inevitable, and americans seem to
00:01:41believe
00:01:41me that they can change that. this is insanity, this is
00:01:45of the, it defeats us
00:01:45of every
00:01:45time.
00:01:52me
00:02:00When you take action, there must be an internal
00:02:03coherence to your action, like
00:02:07stealing of statue
00:02:08of the state of Israel's first prime minister, or damaging
00:02:12picture, a cultural artifact
00:02:14of the British colonization of
00:02:16Palestine.
00:02:23Shortly after we started, we saw escalation in police tactics
00:02:27of against us, it was to stop us from speaking. out, it was to
00:02:31stop us from acting, it was to stop palestine action from growing. The
00:02:35way that the
00:02:36me Palestinian cause was pleased, the way that direct action for Palestine
00:02:40was policed, was a holy different level. To
00:02:43be
00:02:44of grown to the floor by
00:02:45of police, in violently arrested, showed to
00:02:49me exactly what the state thought about
00:02:52Palestine.
00:02:58I think that's that was one
00:02:59of the main. things that led me to take action, woman called
00:03:03Mariam
00:03:06afifi,
00:03:10i watched her being put in handcuffs and she was smiling at the camera and that was that was
00:03:14inspiring for me, i think that was one one
00:03:16of the big um one
00:03:18of the big reasons why i felt like taking action in
00:03:22birmingham
00:03:28so he hit uh fac'. in Birmingham
00:03:32the company was arconic and um
00:03:35they uh there are
00:03:39of aluminum rolling mill they they're
00:03:43controversial for more than one thing
00:03:45they um
00:03:48make uh parts for the f35 fire
00:03:51jet but then there's also um grenfall
00:03:58me tower on
00:04:02the uh 14th of June
00:04:042017, fire spread across the
00:04:08building and because
00:04:09a of the iconic cladding it moved up,
00:04:13down and around the building and - killed
00:04:1672 people. whilst the actions happening
00:04:20um, you know, it's it's
00:04:24fundamental to remember who you're doing it for
00:04:27of and who you stand by whilst doing it. I was, I was
00:04:31remembering
00:04:31you know stories of um, people
00:04:35from, from every floor in the Greenfall
00:04:38Tower. We wanted to show solidarity through
00:04:42actions, not just another statement, but by targeting the
00:04:46company which was both
00:04:47in responsible for the murder of people in Grenvel
00:04:51and in Palestine. The same
00:04:54company which disregarded human lives in Britain are the same
00:04:58ones who supplied. the materials for Israel's f35
00:05:02fighter jets used to massacre people in
00:05:06Palestine in Lebanon and across the Middle
00:05:09East.
00:05:23so the arms trade connects Britain to the ongoing genocide
00:05:27in multiple ways, uh, first of all, Britain is a part the
00:05:30F-35 program, which uh, which is the NATO program,
00:05:34supplying war planes to Israel, now over 15% of
00:05:38every single F30 fighter jet is produced in
00:05:41Britain. components made by UK-based arms
00:05:45factories.
00:05:54UK is in violation of number of its
00:05:58international obligations when it is uh
00:06:02when it's exporting weapons to Israel, including the duty to prevent
00:06:05genocide, the duty to cooperate towards ending the uh Israeli
00:06:09occupation of Palestine, the duty to protect the...
00:06:13so the directors of arms factories across Britain that have been
00:06:17targeted by Palestine Action have often tried to
00:06:21distance themselves and tried to distance themselves from kind of
00:06:24responsibility for where those arms are ending up
00:06:28classified based on hundreds of not thousands of
00:06:31cargo documents that we obtained is that there are various
00:06:35factories across the UK and many of which are
00:06:38either elbit or subsidiaries of elbit that they have been.
00:06:42porting to Israel amid the Gaza genocide, so
00:06:46what we've managed to do basically is to prove in real time which
00:06:50arms factories in the UK have been exporting to
00:06:54Israel and despite repeated denials on the part the directors
00:06:58the arms factories, is that on?
00:07:02so this we understand this to
00:07:05be the roof that gives us access to
00:07:09the clean room where they make...
00:07:13parts for the f35 f35
00:07:17clean
00:07:18uh f 35 fighter jets so we believe that
00:07:22if we can contaminate this room
00:07:25that we can put this
00:07:29factory i have action for up
00:07:33to 12 months it's
00:07:35fine whoa
00:07:39jesus oh my word 'there
00:07:43we go, as
00:07:46we saw the genocidal campaign escalate, so our
00:07:50actions needed to match that in terms of severity, people
00:07:53started to break inside factories
00:07:56regularly, you talodine
00:07:59alarms,
00:08:05more people were coming forward and saying i'm going to do it, and they were literally
00:08:08getting inside these factories and causing millions of pounds worth'.
00:08:12of damage clean room

00:12:12have look, it's actually a really nice morning, it's
00:12:14beautiful,
00:12:22yeah, we're just trying it open.
00:12:25Leonardo,
00:12:28yes, amazing. Let's see,
00:12:32Leonard.
00:12:42Fab, go,
00:12:45go.
00:12:53Thanks.
00:13:18Criminal damage to prevent a war crime is not a crime, when you put that
00:13:22before most juries in this country, they... you will see that for what it
00:13:25is, that these are people doing what they can within their means to
00:13:29try and prevent the greater
00:13:31harm,
00:14:00'We were allowed by our judge to talk about Palestine and to talk about and to
00:14:04put in front the jury how drones are used to share export
00:14:07licenses from UAV tactical systems to
00:14:09Israel and it means that
00:14:13you get fair trial, when juries get to hear the whole
00:14:17truth like that, they generally speaking
00:14:21find people in Palestine action not guilty.'
00:14:30Shortly after the genocide esc. shortly after the genocide
00:14:33escalated in Gaza we saw the against Palestine
00:14:37action. Actionists were being raided
00:14:40every week if different homes were being searched across the country by the
00:14:44police. We knew at the start of Palestine
00:14:48action. The state would do everything possible to try and stop us
00:14:52before we drove Israel's weapons trade out.
00:14:55Britain and we weren't going to let them
00:14:57win.
00:15:02Through freedom of information requests, we've been able
00:15:06to establish as fact that there has been
00:15:10constant coordination and meeting over the
00:15:13years between Israel, Albert Systems, the British
00:15:17government. You then have the case of
00:15:202022, pretty potetel at that
00:15:23time as Homes.
00:15:37in the judicial process, but we have been in contact with the
00:15:41police about this. within a month of that
00:15:44meeting was the first conviction of a palestine
00:15:47action activist. next meeting that took
00:15:50place um between a British
00:15:54government minister and elbit systems
00:15:58also included somebody representing the crown
00:16:01prosecution service. now this is very likely
00:16:05to be violation of of 2.1
00:16:09the Crown Prosecutions Code of conduct,
00:16:13which says that they must behave an independent
00:16:17and impartial way, without political
00:16:20pressure. The fact that arms companies
00:16:23can and are able to go to the
00:16:27government and to lobby them directly to say
00:16:30impose hartia sentences on activists is in
00:16:34itself very telling of where we are.

00:17:24Living in Gaza means you are forced to hear this sound every
00:17:27day, almost every
00:17:29hour.
00:17:37عند ما بدك تحس حالك بدك تنام بتحسها فوق
00:17:40راسك.
00:17:46i could tell you for sure that haven't talked to anyone in gazza or
00:17:50heard any recording in gazzah in the past year where i didn't
00:17:54consistently hear the voice of a drone at
00:17:57whatsoever any moment. the idf has been
00:18:01systematically using drones in its campaign in gaza
00:18:04the past 16 months. these... have been used to
00:18:08bomb civilians, israel and Israeli corporations are now marketing
00:18:12that as very effective uh, very effective ways
00:18:16of killing, they're emitting sounds such
00:18:18as of women or babies crying a kind of perverse attempt to
00:18:22law palestinians out their homes to tend to
00:18:25um
00:18:26the and using them to bomb them afterwards and using them to bomb them
00:18:29afterwards.
00:18:46so first of all we've had testimonies from uh doctors who were in the
00:18:49grounds who described direct bullets
00:18:53coming to children through these quadcopters, we've also heard
00:18:57accounts of pregnant women who were targeted by quadcopters
00:19:01and also targeting of journalists, so Israel is kind
00:19:05of at the cutting edge as well of... technology and
00:19:09by way of its experience of testing these different forms of
00:19:12drones um in Palestine in
00:19:16Palestine.
00:19:40What
00:19:40I think I found particularly disturbing was
00:19:44that um bomb would drop maybe on
00:19:47crowded tented area and then the drones
00:19:51would come down
00:19:52and
00:19:56please take your time, it's we're incredibly grateful that you're
00:20:00making the time to be here,
00:20:02so the drones would come down and pick off
00:20:05civilians children. and we
00:20:08had description after description, this is not you know an
00:20:12occasional thing, this was day after day after day operating on
00:20:15children, he would say i was lying on the ground after bomber
00:20:19dropped and this quadcopter came down and hovered over
00:20:23me,
00:22:03The Filton 18 undertook Philton 18
00:22:07undertook an unprecedented operation over million pounds
00:22:11worth of damage to that facility. I think it's important for
00:22:15us to understand that when
00:22:19we're told. Filton is a research center, it's
00:22:23absolutely not that. It homes, it
00:22:26hosts, killing machines. This is
00:22:30machinery that is created on UK soil, with UK
00:22:34state complicity and investment that is
00:22:38targeting and killing innocent children
00:22:41and civilians on mass a daily
00:22:45basis.
00:22:56Fatima zainab was arrested on the 6th
00:22:59of August, that's one day after she turned
00:23:0120.
00:23:11Fatma Zainab has always been an advocate for social justice, I would say
00:23:14that's one of her most defining character, and when
00:23:18the when the genocide. It started in October 20 started
00:23:22in October 2023, it had a massive
00:23:26impact on her, as family all the
00:23:30national marches, the emergency protests and rallies, we would
00:23:33be in all them, and I think there came
00:23:37point where Fatma Zainab was getting really distressed and very
00:23:41helpless that you know were marching week and week
00:23:44out, the government's not listening, our voices are being
00:23:48unheard, um...
00:23:50and
00:23:53and that she needed to take action herself, do
00:23:57something more than just marching week in, week out, and it's an
00:24:01incredibly difficult time, because we're not only having to deal with the grief
00:24:05of um, witnessing a real-time genocide take
00:24:09place every single day, but top of that we're having to
00:24:13deal with the absence of our loved ones because they
00:24:16have tried to do something to stop that.
00:24:20We're all proud of her,
00:24:21you know, we're all proud of being where she is for for
00:24:25why she is in prison,
00:24:26you know, and and even you know when I visit
00:24:30her, I tell her you need to hold your head up high, because you, you know, you're
00:24:34not going to allow anyone to criminalize you, because you haven't done anything that
00:24:38you need to be ashamed
00:24:39of.
00:24:56now the police response to this action has been quite
00:25:00extraordinary. they've used counter terror legislation to detain and
00:25:04remand - many of those activists in
00:25:07prison and to the extent that they were moved from one site to another
00:25:11site without anybody who knows them being made aware that they had been moved. they were
00:25:15effectively rendered incommunicado from the rest the world. you have
00:25:18seen..." people detained on
00:25:22remand for a long time, but initially under counter terrorism legislation,
00:25:26which meant there were numerous ways in which
00:25:30they could have more harsh
00:25:34um treatment justified supposedly
00:25:37a cell all day with the lights on, all night with the lights
00:25:41on, regular disruption, and with fatima zainab
00:25:45I couldn't see her until three weeks into her arrest, the the
00:25:49government had has abused
00:25:52the the use of counter terror powers to arrest
00:25:55the the philton group to interrogate them day
00:25:59and night um
00:26:01and then because the the terror connection that they're now
00:26:05labeled with, the the consequences in
00:26:09prison on remand have been horrific for
00:26:12all them. it is safe to say that the worst legal framework to
00:26:16use in such case is the terrorism framework. the terrorism
00:26:20discourse has been heavily critiqued by justice
00:26:23theoris, by human rights lawyers, by being a way to
00:26:27evade the rule of law and creating an otherwise
00:26:31called. space outside the law into
00:26:35whatever annoys the
00:26:37government.
00:26:47The state realized that imprisoning people had failed to stop
00:26:51the movement. They realized that rating people's homes has failed to stop the
00:26:55movement. This was the first time we had seen
00:26:59the state try and say that these actions could... mount
00:27:02terrorism, despite being arrested under the terrorism
00:27:06act, none them were charged with terrorism
00:27:09offenses, but the counter terrorism police continue to
00:27:13lead on this investigation.
00:27:17the police have sought escalate the
00:27:20repression and use counter-terrorism legislation to
00:27:24try and suppress Palestine action. but what we've
00:27:28seen is that people wanting to join and get
00:27:31involved. has risen as
00:27:35the repression has
00:27:36risen,
00:27:43they calling a terrorist like they don't
00:27:46know who the terror is when they put it on me tell them
00:27:50this i'm all about peace and love peace and love but
00:27:54they're calling a terrorist like they don't know who the
00:27:58terror is insulting my
00:28:00intelligence
00:28:32when they put it on me tell them this i'm all about peace and
00:28:36love peace and love but they're calling
00:28:38terrorist they the a like
00:28:42terror don't
00:28:43who
00:28:43is insulting my
00:28:44intelligence.
00:29:04Looks like we're finally done
00:29:05here, I wouldn't hold my breath
00:29:09just
00:29:10yet.
00:29:59Press TV headlines, Iran's security chief tells.
00:30:02STV that the US response to Terron's conditions
00:30:06freeopening the hormos straight is inadequate and contains
00:30:09ambiguities, it must be cleared. The IRGC Navy warns
00:30:13all vessels not to turn off their navigation systems during
00:30:17hormos transit, saying all ships doing this will be considered hostile and
00:30:21targeted. Hamas strongly condemns Israel's threat to assassinate the
00:30:25head of its political bureau stressing that the regime's threat amounts to
00:30:28organized state terrorism.
