00:00:00The history of humanity and the world is that America is the founder
00:00:03of horrific prisons in the world, and also in terms of
00:00:06psychological torture technology, what is seen now
00:00:10is that from the perspective
00:00:11of
00:00:14physical locations, which people in Bagram, Afghanistan, see,
00:00:18and the media sees, we hope
00:00:22that this physical state will be preserved as
00:00:25evidence of the crimes of the invaders
00:00:28in Afghanistan and their slaves and those who had reached the Kabul
00:00:32administration through them were no less criminal
00:00:35than the Americans, but rather more so, because these were
00:00:39Afghans. Therefore, in such a place where you can see
00:00:43the physical effects, you can infer that the effects
00:00:46of psychological torture were so severe that most of our friends
00:00:50and brothers were martyred there. We witnessed that in
00:00:54the windows, in front of our eyes, many, many were martyred,
00:00:57and most of them due to torture. They were martyred psychologically,
00:01:01and
00:01:03many of them became psychologically impaired,
00:01:06mentally impaired, and now in their families,
00:01:10their communities, and themselves, they are suffering. In fact,
00:01:14it can be said that they are living martyrs,
00:01:16and
00:01:18we had few physical injuries in
00:01:21Bagram, but we had many mentally
00:01:25and psychologically injured, both for the families
00:01:28and for the prisoners.
00:01:31From this point of view, we were there after all, with
00:01:33our friends who were older than us, we tried
00:01:37to comfort them at appropriate times
00:01:41and try to lessen their suffering and listen
00:01:45to their stories. From that perspective, we study together
00:01:48or teach or study, or we see
00:01:52that our younger brothers are suffering
00:01:56from extraordinary psychological distress. We comfort
00:01:59them. That is why for a longer
00:02:02period of time that we were there, and during the 10 years that
00:02:05we were there, these things became known. Therefore, when someone
00:02:09says they were taken to Bagram, it is equivalent to being in the harshest
00:02:13and most brutal prison, with
00:02:16physical technology and psychological suffering.
00:02:20From the moment a person is brought there,
00:02:23the humiliation begins.
00:02:26Firstly, how they are taken, and
00:02:30the vehicle they are taken in, for example, someone is
00:02:33taken in a car
00:02:37that has no view to the outside, no windows, nothing. They are taken there,
00:02:41their eyes are closed, their ears are closed, their feet
00:02:45are tied, and they don't know where they are being taken. We saw some elders
00:02:49who were brought from Helmand, for several months they said we
00:02:52are in Tajikistan. We said, "Uncle, this is Afghanistan,
00:02:56this is Bagram." He said, "No, the Americans took us." He was a poor nomad. He
00:03:00said, "They took us from our tent in Helmand, saying you are with
00:03:03the Mujahideen. We didn't even
00:03:07understand what the butt or barrel of a gun was,
00:03:10or what a bullet was." An old man
00:03:13who had spent his life as a nomad,
00:03:16we were in a tent. They took him with two other children. He had
00:03:20no family. His children were left in the tent
00:03:23near Shorabak. For several months he kept saying that we
00:03:27are in Tajikistan. We said, "Uncle, Tajikistan."
00:03:47His condition was disturbed. He became crazy
00:03:50in prison, and another one likewise. This
00:03:53kind of terror, that someone doesn't understand. From Helmand brought to Bagram, he thinks he's in
00:03:57Tajikistan. When
00:04:01he enters a car that brings him with so much
00:04:04discomfort, and
00:04:07eyes and ears closed, after he enters Bagram,
00:04:11a person thinks that this is the end of life;
00:04:15there is no more life. Now, I truly believe that 90 percent
00:04:18of them, when they first get out of that car, in a
00:04:22car that has no windows and is like
00:04:26a graveyard, eyes and ears closed, they bring him with one or two
00:04:30or three soldiers who are with him. They bring him inside
00:04:33Bagram, inside Bagram.
00:04:37Certainly, those conditions are not understandable for those
00:04:41who haven't seen them. Those who were prisoners in Bagram understand when they
00:04:44first get you out of the car, they put you in a
00:04:48wheelchair, and your eyes
00:04:52are closed, your ears are closed, you can't see,
00:04:55you can't hear, and you have no right to ask questions, and you have no right
00:04:59to speak, and they treat you like some
00:05:02kind of lion caught from the jungle, not a human being.
00:05:06Well, you are a human being, your feet are tied to the wheelchair, your hands
00:05:10are tied, you are in handcuffs. Either left handcuff or right
00:05:13handcuff, your eyes are closed, your ears are closed.
00:05:17Well, what does this mean? In my own country, it's like a lion
00:05:21being caught by two semi-wild
00:05:24Americans or their domestic servants.
00:05:27And one from the left and one from the right,
00:05:31they take you with great humiliation and degradation
00:05:35by your shoulders, and this wheelchair carries you. You
00:05:38don't know where you are going. After this, they suddenly take you out
00:05:42and. Into a cell, well, first,
00:05:45all your clothes, whether
00:05:47they are security clothes from that
00:05:51time or civilian clothes, you take off all your clothes, and
00:05:55you are only allowed to keep underwear and boxers,
00:05:59if any are left. And there they take
00:06:02everything you have, whether you have something or
00:06:05not, everything is thrown away. They take you to
00:06:09a small room, where there is something. Here.
00:06:12A cold shower. In the cold shower,
00:06:16a cold shower. You have to take
00:06:20a shower. Then, after you come out of the shower,
00:06:23then they give you clothes,
00:06:27clothes that no one in Afghanistan had ever seen
00:06:31or heard of before. Even after the Americans, they are still not there.
00:06:34They give you clothes that are tight, and also
00:06:38rough, and irritating, those
00:06:41clothes.
00:06:46By God, there was someone who was
00:06:48very tall and big. Those clothes didn't
00:06:52fit him, but he had to wear them. There was no other choice.
00:06:55Or they would give him clothes that were too big.
00:06:58Anyway, they would give him those clothes. After that,
00:07:02inspections are carried out here, and then he goes.
00:07:06There are cells here, and in front of each cell, they give a number. A number
00:07:09they give to you, they say your number, for example, is this.
00:07:13It is
00:07:1531176.
00:07:18They give you a number like that there. They tell you that from now on, you
00:07:22don't have a name; you are this number. If anyone
00:07:25calls you, it will be by this number. You don't say your name
00:07:28anymore; you don't talk to anyone. And here you are nothing here.
00:07:32You are a being, this number.
00:07:36You are nothing else. So then,
00:07:40with these conditions, there are other
00:07:43humiliating stages. And from here, you are given a number, and you are
00:07:46registered in the system. And then, from here, when someone takes
00:07:50a person out, then they take him
00:07:54by means of a vehicle for a certain distance,
00:07:57then they put him back in the wheelchair, then
00:07:59they take him.
00:08:02Some friends are taken to the 'Show'. There is a block
00:08:05called 'Show', which has some strange
00:08:08and unique characteristics. They take him to that 'Show'.
00:08:29And in reality, it was a place of terror and a place
00:08:33of violence and a place of inhumane treatment.
00:08:37Well, let's leave the story of the "Show", what kind of place it is. Or
00:08:41they take him to a cage or a window.
00:08:45The windows they take him to, their physical characteristics
00:08:48are now visible to you, that in this
00:08:51century of progress and human technology,
00:08:54a person should be in such a cage,
00:08:57and in this cage there are 30,
00:09:0132, 33, or 34 people,
00:09:04and each person, according to the division,
00:09:07gets 175 centimeters, approximately
00:09:10185 centimeters. A space is provided,
00:09:13and sometimes they give him a sponge,
00:09:16and sometimes they don't give a sponge.
00:09:20Then they give him a piece of clothing, and that clothing
00:09:23is also unsuitable. Well, then for
00:09:26prayer, for other purity, other clothes
00:09:30are necessary. There, then we remember
00:09:34a time when there was one extra
00:09:37piece of clothing for 8 people,
00:09:41then there was also repair, and sewing, and changing,
00:09:44and these things. And for a Muslim,
00:09:48when his prayer is missed, when ritual bathing becomes obligatory,
00:09:52when purification becomes obligatory, and he has no
00:09:55means, and he is a mujahid,
00:09:57and this, well, it's very difficult for him.
00:10:01The discussion about these windows, and these windows'
00:10:04characteristics and physical specifications
00:10:08are such that I am sure the people of the world
00:10:11have not seen, the people of Afghanistan have not seen, except for the prisoners
00:10:14of Bagram and the guards who might be there now. No one
00:10:18has seen that there is a cell, for example, a large cell
00:10:22inside which there are small cages for 3 people. And
00:10:25inside the cage, it is divided
00:10:28so that each
00:10:31person, whether they are given a sponge or not, gets
00:10:35175 centimeters by 185 centimeters of space.
00:10:39There is no more than that, and no less than that. And
00:10:43above their heads, there are many,
00:10:47many strong groups that are on
00:10:50day and
00:10:52night, so to speak, they are always on,
00:10:55never turned off. Day and night they are above their heads, and
00:10:58above their heads, constantly, either they sit on chairs
00:11:02or they patrol there, either foreigners
00:11:05or locals. In addition to that, there are cameras, and
00:11:09the cameras see every person, meaning a
00:11:12person is constantly under the camera's view and
00:11:16under patrol, and his space is limited,
00:11:19and he has no right to speak. He has no right to speak.
00:11:23If he was allowed to speak,
00:11:27it would be good if he could ask something from a guard
00:11:30or a prison warden, or something could be said, or
00:11:34he is sick, or has other needs. Because it's not one day, one week, one year,
00:11:38or two years, it's years. Well, then
00:11:41how about food? How about the issue of going
00:11:45out in the sun? It's winter, it's summer.
00:11:47How about that? And
00:11:50what if,
00:11:53for instance, the water that was here,
00:11:56these
00:11:58groups, they would sometimes turn off the water
00:12:02here. There was a place to relieve oneself
00:12:05in every cell, because going out was not possible. First
00:12:08the cell, then inside the cage.
00:12:12So if they sometimes
00:12:15cut off the water, then what happens?
00:12:19Prayer is also here, food is eaten here, sleep and rest
00:12:23are also here. Your space is limited, and here
00:12:26there are 85-year-old elders, and
00:12:30also younger ones, sick ones, and healthy ones. These
00:12:34are among the psychological sufferings, each
00:12:37part of which is truly
00:12:41very difficult to describe for a person, and it is painful.
00:12:44And for friends, perhaps for listeners,
00:12:47it may not be understandable, but for those
00:12:50who were prisoners there, it is understandable. Well, then
00:12:54in the same way, how can we describe, for example, the sunbathing?
00:12:57The method of feeding and giving food,
00:13:01the method of taking to court and bringing back, the method of taking attendance,
00:13:05and the method of savage search
00:13:07which is one of the most
00:13:10inhumane things about this search
00:13:14is that every day or every few days,
00:13:17they come and search
00:13:20this cell. Everyone there has a sponge
00:13:24or a blanket or a few books or a Holy Quran.
00:13:28Well, for years, they come
00:13:31and all the things that the prisoners have
00:13:35are all thrown together in this big cell. The small
00:13:38places are divided. Then everything is thrown together.
00:13:42Everything becomes one, and then
00:13:45then they take the prisoners
00:13:48to another cell for searching, or they take them
00:13:51to the sunning area. The sunning area itself was
00:13:56a cage for the same number of people that are in one
00:13:59cell, 33 people. From here to outside, it's just
00:14:03wires, walls, concrete.
00:14:06Well, there's nothing. There's no roof.
00:14:10They take them out here. Well, after this search,
00:14:13they come back and see that the soldiers
00:14:17have destroyed everything, ruined it, put it all in one place,
00:14:20and now were or where they were.
00:14:55And these calamities are repeatedly occurring. Searches
00:14:59are repeated, humiliation is repeated, harassment is repeated.
00:15:02And when they request
00:15:05medicine and treatment, they don't take them. They are very slow.
00:15:09There's a lot of commotion that someone is sick. If they take him,
00:15:12they give him a few paracetamol,
00:15:16and then if he dies or stays alive,
00:15:19there is no more attention. And this human rights that were spoken
00:15:23of then or now were really just a slogan. Especially
00:15:26for the prisoners who were
00:15:30in Bagram. Unfortunately,
00:15:33everything was against human rights, against human rights.
00:15:36And unfortunately, this
00:15:40lasted for years, and
00:15:43those who were partners with foreigners in the Kabul
00:15:46administration, they were also, unfortunately, partners
00:15:50in this crime. Although Sheikh Sahib has forgiven the leadership,
00:15:53even if there is forgiveness, that suffering
00:15:56in the families of the prisoners and in the minds
00:16:00of the prisoners, those sufferings will certainly
00:16:03not be forgotten and are certainly
00:16:06tormenting. Our imprisonment was,
00:16:09at first, they said 16 years. After
00:16:13that, in prison, they said you are causing too much unrest, too much
00:16:16chaos. And now, if
00:16:20we did anything there, we did it according to our will and belief.
00:16:24Allah Almighty, in that place, gave the brothers and us
00:16:27this spirit that, for example,
00:16:31our beliefs and our support for the Islamic Emirate
00:16:34and defense of the Islamic Emirate were there,
00:16:37whether in the hall or in the cell, when there was an uproar or
00:16:41a strike, we would say that you are wrong, you are oppressors,
00:16:45you are slaves, and the Islamic Emirate is righteous, and the Islamic
00:16:48Emirate will be victorious. This was an unconscious state. Praise be to Allah,
00:16:52it was with us. On this occasion, they said
00:16:55that another 4 years were added to your sentence, making it 20 years. And after
00:16:59that, they said that you will not get a reduction, and
00:17:02finally, as long as this government exists, you will be here. Here
00:17:06is your final graveyard. We
00:17:09were not alone; there were other brothers of ours who were
00:17:12truly great mujahideen, and they were also either sentenced
00:17:16to martyrdom or, like us,
00:17:20they were told that if your imprisonment is 20
00:17:24or 30 years, up to 70 years, well, you won't
00:17:27get out. You are here. This situation was,
00:17:30so to speak, a decision that was tyrannical, and I must say here
00:17:34that I am surprised, truly. From
00:17:37this point of view, it is strange that these infidels
00:17:41are very advanced in the education and training
00:17:44of animals and the education and training of humans with
00:17:47animalistic traits. These Americans
00:17:50had trained some of the people
00:17:53of Afghanistan and
00:17:57the officials and prison guards that we saw, in such a way that, far
00:18:00be it from you, they were like wild and savage animals. And though they were
00:18:04from our country, our people, their ancestors and
00:18:07fathers were Muslims. But it was strange that their
00:18:10savagery, their mercilessness, their inhumane
00:18:14behavior, most of them, if one of them was human,
00:18:18most of them had the animalistic morality that the Americans had trained
00:18:22them in, so that their morality was
00:18:25like that of a wild animal, far from humanity, towards
00:18:28our compatriots, some of whom were under American supervision there.
00:18:32Later, they took over themselves. The patrol was only American,
00:18:35and this was also a color for us, that a person, someone
00:18:39from Muslim parents, and infidels, trains him in this way,
00:18:43and against his own countryman he is worse than a wild
00:18:47animal. Well, with such a
00:18:49merciless being on your side, well, it's naturally
00:18:53very difficult. You go to visit, you go to the clinic, or you have other
00:18:57needs for years. When they would take you to visit, for example,
00:19:00there were no visits at first. Most
00:19:04of the prisoners' conditions were such that they had no possibility
00:19:08of visits, meaning there was no communication, and
00:19:11their families were far away, or they were so poor
00:19:15that they couldn't afford to come. Because coming to Bagram was not
00:19:19easy. They had to spend many days, they had to go through many
00:19:22stages, and this was not possible for a poor family
00:19:26from a village to do those things. Therefore, we saw people, we truly witnessed
00:19:29them, and they cried. They were old
00:19:33or young. One year, two years, three years, five years, this
00:20:50is very difficult for a human, for a Muslim, for an Afghan,
00:20:53that after years, he can have a limited few
00:20:57minutes with his family, or his child,
00:21:01or his mother, or his wife, to ask about their well-being.
00:21:04Because the infidel also has an eavesdropper
00:21:07openly, or one of his slaves also has another eavesdropper,
00:21:11and they listen to your conversation. If
00:21:15even a little of your conversation seems bad to him, or it's not
00:21:18even a political conversation, he just wants
00:21:21to torment you, he cuts off your conversation and pulls
00:21:25the curtain. There were glass curtains. He just
00:21:28closes them. You saw
00:21:32for one minute through the glass.
00:21:35Or the sound goes or not. Then right there,
00:21:39your family, child, mother, sister,
00:21:42after years, sees him in those clothes and
00:21:46with his feet and hands tied.
00:21:50What state will he be in? So this
00:21:54visit that took place there, for us and for others, it
00:21:57was itself a psychological torment. Many of our friends would not go. They
00:22:01would say this kind of visit is not
00:22:04appropriate; it's an added torment. And many,
00:22:08for years, were unaware of their
00:22:12survivors. And
00:22:15the visit that happened to us after a few years was also,
00:22:19in reality, nothing more than a torment
00:22:22and psychological torture. And
00:22:25this was actually the democracy that
00:22:29America and its slaves were preaching in Afghanistan.
00:22:33One thing happened that, fortunately, when the Doha
00:22:36negotiations began, day by day, the presence
00:22:40of foreigners decreased, their patrols decreased, and
00:22:43the locals, those of their people
00:22:47who had some sense and understanding,
00:22:50slowly started to show some leniency,
00:22:54or for example, when they came to the window, you could ask
00:22:57them something, you could tell them a need. As soon as
00:23:01an opportunity and a chance arose, the sunning
00:23:05areas became a little better. For this reason,
00:23:08in the last year, studying and books and these things
00:23:12became better available than before.
00:23:15Then the issue
00:23:19became clear to our friends that this government,
00:23:23so to speak, had become somewhat
00:23:26weaker and lacked spirit.
00:23:29This
00:23:32hope increased for those friends who were sentenced to martyrdom
00:23:35and those friends who had long sentences.
00:23:39They became hopeful until, finally, Allah Almighty
00:23:42showed kindness, through the prayers of the survivors
00:23:46of the martyrs, through the prayers of the prisoners, and through the prayers of the people
00:23:50of Afghanistan. The people of Afghanistan were, of course, dissatisfied with this oppression and
00:23:54savagery of the foreigners. Generally, with the prayers
00:23:57of the people and the elders and the survivors,
00:24:01finally, victory came, victory was achieved,
00:24:04and, so to speak, the prisoners,
00:24:08praise be to Allah, everyone was released, and
00:24:12we were also released at the time
00:24:15of victory, praise be to Allah, and no one
00:24:18could believe it. That we were released.
00:24:22There, friends had phones, live phones. We said we are out.
00:24:25Most of the families of the prisoners
00:24:28who were far away could not believe it. We could not
00:24:31believe it either, that we are now out,
00:24:34and after 10 years, these lights are off,
00:24:38the lights that were on day and night are off, and we are no
00:24:41longer in cages. We are out. Our friends felt it.
00:24:44And of course, at the time of freedom, a number
00:24:48were martyred. And then, everyone, praise be to Allah,
00:24:52at the time of victory, generally, at the time of victory,
00:24:55they were released. Before that, well, a small number of people
00:24:59were released from Bagram. It was very difficult. If many had finished their sentences,
00:25:03they were still not announced. Victory came,
00:25:06praise be to Allah. Throughout Afghanistan, people were freed. We were
00:25:09also freed. And we, from that perspective, always, our friends sometimes say
00:25:13that income is low or there is no job. We say the Islamic Emirate
00:25:16of Afghanistan liberated the nation. It liberated us from
00:25:24needing to wait for the Islamic Emirate. The fact
00:25:28that it liberated us from the captivity of the infidels and from those
00:25:32iron cages is everything for us,
00:25:36and we are grateful to Allah Almighty, and we are also
00:25:39truly grateful to the Islamic Emirate
00:25:43of Afghanistan's officials who, in Doha and outside, whether through jihad or
00:25:47negotiation, provided the conditions for victory and triumph,
00:25:50so that the nation of Afghanistan was liberated, the invaders
00:25:54were defeated, and the Islamic State was established.
00:25:57We were also naturally liberated. Allah
00:25:59is the greatest.
00:26:08One thing that people in Afghanistan say is
00:26:11that a fish in the sea doesn't appreciate water.
00:26:15The nation of Afghanistan is now
00:26:19under an Islamic government. The elders
00:26:22understand the value of government because they have seen civil wars,
00:26:25they have seen the Soviet invasion, they have seen the American
00:26:29invasion. But young people may not understand to that extent.
00:26:52Our nation throughout Afghanistan and throughout
00:26:55the world, the reality is this: we are
00:26:59past our prime; we don't have that much hope for life and expectation
00:27:02of facilities and privileges. As a citizen of Afghanistan,
00:27:06as an elder, we have experienced the Soviet
00:27:10era, and the Mujahideen era, and the Islamic Emirate
00:27:13era, and the invasions. We saw them. We urge
00:27:16you to appreciate the Islamic Emirate. If there are criticisms,
00:27:20if there are suggestions, refer them to the proper authority, not
00:27:24to malicious domestic or foreign media.
00:27:27And if in any way you can
00:27:30contribute to the prosperity of the country, whether you have expertise,
00:27:34whether you have capital, whether you have ideas, whether you have
00:27:38plans and programs, and to whatever extent, whether domestically
00:27:41or internationally, for the development, prosperity, and well-being
00:27:45of our country, let us all be united and work hard,
00:27:48and appreciate our system, and preserve national unity
00:27:52throughout the country, and prioritize national interests
00:27:55over our personal interests. Throughout the world,
00:27:59like other nations and other countries, let's be
00:28:02united and support our own system and Emirate. But if there are criticisms
00:28:06and suggestions, let's refer them to the proper authority, not
00:28:09to malicious domestic media
00:28:12and defeated domestic factions. However, the Islamic
00:28:16Emirate, this issue of the nation, as I mentioned, the issue of the Islamic
00:28:19Emirate of Afghanistan, our officials are working day and night
00:28:23for the betterment of the country's situation, whether
00:28:26it's security, whether it's economy, and whether it's employment,
00:28:30and whether it's culture and national literature. But at
00:28:34the lower or middle
00:28:37levels, if there are any irregularities,
00:28:40if there are criticisms, I hope that
00:28:44the authorities appointed by the Islamic Emirate
00:28:47of Afghanistan to hear criticism and suggestions will listen
00:28:50to criticisms and suggestions carefully, especially
00:28:53the issue of administrative corruption, because in the past, in
00:28:57Afghanistan, it was very common, and God forbid,
00:29:01administrative corruption and national discord should not arise
00:29:04in the country. And from wherever we see that, for example, there are people
00:29:08who are trying to sow discord between the nation and the government,
00:29:11they are trying to sow discord among our officials,
00:29:15God forbid. Or that the issue of administrative
00:29:19corruption is reported somewhere.
00:29:22Well, we hope that it will be dealt with
00:29:25very carefully, like in the past, and with seriousness,
00:29:29so that national discord does not arise, and administrative corruption
00:29:32does not arise. And other issues, praise be to Allah, the ministries
00:29:36and the legal authorities are present, and
00:29:39the country, praise be to Allah, is progressing
00:29:43satisfactorily, and the government of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan,
00:29:47so far, has truly progressed successfully
00:29:50with all its challenges. And we are confident that, God willing,
00:29:53the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, with the support
00:29:56of the people, will become stronger day by day, God willing. And
00:30:00development, prosperity, and national unity, and pride and
00:30:03achievements of the nation of Afghanistan in the jihad
00:30:07with the Soviets, in the jihad with America, will be
00:30:10a great lesson to the world that a nation
00:30:13with bare hands fought against the superpowers' latest
00:30:17technology for religion and for independence, and was victorious, praise be to Allah.
