00:04:52of the world, and yet there is an apparent lack of readiness

00:05:03Iran. I think you simply have an
00:05:06example of very large and expensive
00:05:09in military establishment that over many many years. was
00:05:13reduced in size without making any
00:05:15accommodations with change, that new
00:05:19technology, new forms of warfare
00:05:22required, and so it's a very wonderful, small but
00:05:26wonderful tribute to the arm forces the second world
00:05:29war and the cold war, nothing's
00:05:33changed, nothing has
00:05:36changed, hear those words, nothing has
00:05:39changed, so listen to what he just said and what that means, when he says nothing has
00:05:43changed, which begs this question, how can nothing have
00:05:47changed a military apparatus since the 1940s
00:05:51and 50s, since we now today spend up to
00:05:55two trillion dollars on that defense and
00:05:58military apparatus, when we used to spend, i looked it
00:06:02up, $13 billion dollars in the 1950s
00:06:05and we did better,
00:06:09how do you do better with 13 billion as opposed to two trillion? mean
00:06:13the percentage between 13 billion and two trillion
00:06:16what it is, it's less than 1%. so so now we're spending tens
00:06:20of thousands of times more on defense, and we get a
00:06:24military that is shown up
00:06:27badly by Iran, why? what it
00:06:31is, in many ways, it's
00:06:35about, it's about morals, it's about
00:06:38culture, the American culture the
00:06:401950s. Right, 40's, 50's, 60's, wherever you
00:06:44want to draw your line, it was about pride, it was
00:06:48about service, you know what it's about
00:06:51today, pure and simple,
00:06:55greed, it's about greed, and
00:06:59if you follow the money, especially in the military, what you're going to find out,
00:07:03that that money, right, is being spent, not on
00:07:06soldiers, not even on really better weapons per say as we're seeing in
00:07:10Iran, right, it's being used. to make very few
00:07:13people who own, run or associated with the military contracting
00:07:17corporations phenomenally rich, phenomenally
00:07:21rich, but let me go back
00:07:23to the question, let's go back
00:07:25to the question of Iran, why them aren't you, I mean,
00:07:28I would been perplexed by, I thought Iran was going to get its butt whipped, I really
00:07:32did, and I was there, right, just before the bombs
00:07:35fell, why them, how did they, how have they been
00:07:39able to show up the U.S.
00:07:43listen, I think they misjudged
00:07:46Iran, they thought they were dealing with another Iraq
00:07:50or Syria or Saudi Arabia or
00:07:54Libya, and they weren't, and they've gotten an
00:07:57education the hard way, and now, instead of
00:08:01recognizing the limits of our power and the prudent
00:08:04action that should be taken, which is to disengage and get
00:08:08out of this mess, I'm afraid we're doubling down on failure.

00:08:18different? I've been tostling with this, right, ever
00:08:22since I've been following and covering this war and going there and talking to
00:08:26Irachi and other Iranian ministers. To better understand this, I
00:08:30had a conversation last night with Professor Mohammed Morandi,
00:08:34and and this is what I wanted to know, how it is that they were able to develop such incredible
00:08:38arsenal of of of weapons and missiles and rockets
00:08:42and... and drones and missile defenses, without anybody
00:08:45even noticing that they were doing this at the time. here it
00:08:49is. can you explain to us how
00:08:53Iran was able to come up with all these hypersonic
00:08:56mistles and still be using them to this day and hide them in
00:09:00such a way and build them in such a way so that nobody knew that they would have it and
00:09:04then still be able to be so effective with them? can
00:09:07you explain that to me buse it seemed to come out of
00:09:11nowhere? i think... It's the decolonization the mind when
00:09:14after the revolution the Iranians began to believe in themselves, come on, come

00:10:59there to say, well, it didn't work, well,
00:11:03we got to do something about that, no, they just say, okay, who cares, the money's gone, we'll
00:11:07just come up with some new money, that's what happens, no, that's not what happens in
00:11:10Iran, right, it seems to me from my
00:11:13reporting that uh, it built the equipment just like the United States
00:11:17did during World War II, they built it because the
00:11:21need, the motivation for them was existential.
00:11:25Right, existential. In other words, we got to all pulled
00:11:29together, and
00:11:30we got to do this for our very survival, for our children, for our
00:11:34families. That, that's the difference.
00:11:38And that's how Professor Morondi was trying to help me
00:11:41understand in this conversation where I was pushing back on
00:11:44him, the real reason Iran is winning. It's not about
00:11:48magic bullet. It's about the magic in their hearts, I
00:11:51guess. Something America cannot. "my
00:11:55country just doesn't have right now, we've had it, maybe it's

00:12:03America's busy right now, I guess, it's busy with some strange,

00:12:25NATO's need for more territory and more money, what are they talking

00:12:41time when transgender people are under attack, Ed is taking action,
00:12:45leading efforts to pass a transgender bill of rights, expand access
00:12:49to gender affirming care and ban dangerous defenses that
00:12:53excuse violence against LGBT. plus people

00:13:02plus, you just have to wonder, I mean, really, is is that what we want
00:13:06to talk about? And what about the Republican Party? Let's talk about what the

00:13:17military, right? The US military that we're talking about right now and how
00:13:21they're not doing a good job in Iran, apparently, right? but he's going to be
00:13:25using them instead to protect his dirty

00:13:37reflecting pool while wars are being lost and
00:13:41economic conditions for average Americans are literally tanking
00:13:44right now, listen, not only did we fix it, we have
00:13:48military standing there watching it, and if anybody
00:13:51touches it, we that was the one mistake with the reflecting... but they hadn't put
00:13:55up the cameras yet, they had enough up because you see what's
00:13:59happening, but if they would have had them up uh, we would have had lot
00:14:03of, it would have been a lot easier. reflecting
00:14:06pool cameras, is he really talking
00:14:10about this? mean if you're watching us and i know we got like 10,
00:14:1420 million people sometimes watching us from all over the world, whatever corner your world that
00:14:33that really do matter, there is Ukraine, right? talk about
00:14:36existential, Ukraine and the war with Russia, which continues
00:14:40and continues. It's something Mr. Trump doesn't talk
00:14:44about anymore these days, he used to, the west in general,
00:14:47Europe, NATO, EU, more specifically, they don't even
00:14:51want to talk about it, because because of what's happening right now, and
00:15:25dessa, something Russian generals have long wanted to do, and they finally

00:16:11Odessa and in other places, which tell us that
00:16:15the air defenses of Odessa have completely collapsed so
00:16:19that Russian Hcroft can now operate
00:16:22within range, bombing range of
00:16:26Odessa,
00:16:27that is so important, that's huge right, that the air
00:16:31defenses have collapsed for the Ukrainians around
00:16:34Odessa, all right, let me let me show you what I'm talking. about we're
00:16:38going to put map together, so I'm going to show you the two regions, remember I told you there are three
00:16:41geographic regions that we're talking about right now, it means that
00:16:45this, at least as far as Odessa is concerned
00:16:47is no longer just about drones, it's about complete air
00:16:50superiority over the theater for the Russians that are
00:16:54now going to
00:16:55be able to use again aircraft and missile technology
00:16:59right, what they're going to
00:17:01be able to do now in this area around Odessa for the first
00:17:04time is described best with one word:

00:17:11control this area and control the
00:17:15black sea, who goes in, who goes out, what they're going to be able to get, it
00:17:19appears the generals who've been arguing this with Mr. Putin
00:17:23now to do this for more than year apparently, but Mr. Putin refused because he

00:17:27to upset India and he didn't want
00:17:28to upset Turkey, and I guess that's understandable, you know, he didn't want all the countries in
00:17:32this region that use the black sea to be upset with Russia, well
00:17:36guess what, those... generals appear now to have won this
00:17:39argument, and and here's the
00:17:43most ironic thing about all of this: it was
00:17:46Zelensky who helped the generals win
00:17:50their argument with Mr. Putin, why? because it was
00:17:54Zelensky and the Ukrainians who started targeting Russian
00:17:57naval ships here. the Russians said, okay, we're not going to blockade this, we're going to let
00:18:01this, everybody just go through as they want, and then Ukraine
00:18:05hit 100 Russian vessels. '27
00:18:08them were naval vessels in the black sea and
00:18:11then um Zelensky goes to uh Europe and he
00:18:15brags about it, look what I did, I, I destroyed the Russian
00:18:33well with Russia now having
00:18:37domin'. of this area right here and the ports
00:18:40around Odessa, right, which is how and where Ukraine
00:18:44in large measure gets its supplies, its military supplies
00:18:48and otherwise to feed and equip its troops that
00:18:52are that are on the front, right? the
00:18:55situation on the front looking more dire every day, no
00:18:59less, we we now
00:19:02have to ask the question, without this and with what's going on
00:19:05here, how long Ukraine hold out,
00:19:09Europeans are looking at this, they're not talking about it, but damn well that they're looking at this right
00:19:13now, buse this is what's actually going on on the front right now, you're not going to hear from the
00:19:17west, you're going to hear it here, right, cuz we're at least trying to look at it
00:19:21and be fair about it, if Ukraine's winning we do the same thing, but it looks like Russia is winning this
00:19:25thing because these conditions that we're talking about, now there's consistent
00:19:28reports that what is left the Ukrainian troops
00:19:32around the donbas and Zaparia for example are also cracking right
00:19:36now, does it have to? do with the fact that they're not being able to get lot of supply, it
00:19:40could be, but whatever it is, we know
00:19:44this, around this operasia,
00:19:46you know, it's huge, because if those
00:19:50defenses of Ukraine are cracking in this area right in
00:19:53here, it's specifically important
00:19:57for their ability to be able to defend anything in this
00:20:05okay, that's Zaparisia right there, that's... "if the Russians are
00:20:09able to take Zaparia and it's looking like they're awfully close, that's the
00:20:13Russians right there in the red or pinkish, whatever
00:20:16you want
00:20:16to call it, if they're able to take Zaparia, they're going to go all
00:20:20the way through river to essentially the Nipro
00:20:23area, and and if they go to the nepro, they can
00:20:27go west toward host of cities, or they can even
00:20:31go all the way down to odessa that they now
00:20:34control, because they have air superior."

00:22:17experts that I read when I sit around looking. at people who are actually looking
00:22:21at these maps, this is what they're saying as well

00:22:29donbas could now be possibly just matter of

00:29:10taking them out. yeah, and it's interesting because the experience I've had so far in Russia, and by

00:29:18not about hating people who are gay or disallowing people for being who they
00:29:22are, it's it's about the promotion of something. I i
00:29:25don't want my children to go to a school where they are forced
00:29:29for an entire month to celebrate something, that i may not
00:29:33necessarily either a agree with or b agree should be
00:29:37celebrated to that degree, that's all. i'm
00:29:40not saying you're not allowed to be gay, hate gay. no, i that's not what we're
00:29:43about, but it just seems like it's not the government's place, and the
00:29:47difference that i see in Russia, correct me if i'm wrong,
00:29:50is they don't promote or
00:29:53celebrate lifestyles or even for
00:29:56example, i don't like the fact that we celebrate Hispanic heritage month in
00:30:00the United States, why? i'm Hispanic.

00:30:08it's absolutely true uh, but I will say one thing for Russia that they
00:30:12do celebrate a normal society, like for example, a good friend of mine,

00:30:20for having 10 children in Russia, they celebrate family here, you
00:30:23know, this is something there's so much mut incentivized
00:30:27incentive it as well, it's not incentivized in the United States, but
00:30:31it is here, if you have... children, you get lower tax base, if you
00:30:35have children, you get other credits for food, etc., if
00:30:38you're a woman and you get pregnant, you get 14 months
00:30:42paid leave at your home so you can spend the rest more than year with
00:30:46your child, that doesn't exist in the United States, we don't have that, cheaper mortgage rates, sometimes
00:30:50mortgage rates, cheaper car loans, i like
00:30:54again, they act like they actually want to have children in their country,
00:30:58yeah, our country doesn't act like that anymore.
