00:00:2212 people are killed in over 300 winded in
00:00:25attack on the main international airport in Riyadh and that's according
00:00:29to to Saudi
00:00:31of authorities, that's as the Yemani Hudi movement confirms to RT that he
00:00:35carried out the strike. These attacks
00:00:39are Yemeny attacks. We do not do this out of revenge or to take
00:00:42vengeance, but rather to force the Saudi leadership to accept a comprehensive and
00:00:46permanent peace by agreeing to
00:00:48of end the war. I think it's time for Ukraine to get new president, but he could
00:00:52have settled it many times and he chose not to. Donald
00:00:55Trump lays it out clear to Keev as Washington agrees
00:00:59to... sanctions on imports of Russian
00:01:02of diesel, and this is decision deemed weak by
00:01:05Vladimir Zelensky and one that prompted the Ukrainian delegation
00:01:09to immediately leave the US, and
00:01:13Donald Trump insists that the US will not attack
00:01:17Iran, at least before the American elections
00:01:20in next month. As Tehran reveals, Washington's military has suffered
00:01:24far greater losses than he
00:01:25admits.

00:01:35Now let's bring
00:01:36of you our coverage of top stories from around the world, this
00:01:39of is RT International, I am Mike
00:01:41of Corotcher. Now we'll begin our program this morning with uh
00:01:45Saudi Arabia where 12 people were killed and more than
00:01:49300
00:01:49of wounded in attack on the main international airport in
00:01:53Riyadh. A spokesperson for the Yemini Huti movement
00:01:57confirmed to RT that he was behind the strike. and it was
00:02:00second such attack on the area in as many days.
00:02:04now onverified footage circulating on online appears to
00:02:08show smoke rising near the airport. the site has been
00:02:11evacuated and all flights suspended. a senior
00:02:15who de spokes person told RT that its actions are a direct
00:02:18response to the continued aggression against civilian infrastructure in
00:02:22Yemen by the
00:02:23Saudies.
00:02:28yes, these attacks are Yemeny attacks. after 12 years of Saudi
00:02:31aggression, destroying Yemeni infrastructure, whether airports, ports,
00:02:35even wedding and funeral halls, as well as schools, hospitals and markets.
00:02:39It targeted everything in Yemen, and targeted and destroyed all infrastructure,
00:02:43and today it acknowledges that airports are civilian facilities that must
00:02:47not be targeted under international law, but we say that we deal with Saudi
00:02:51Arabia in kind, and our military operations deep inside the Saudi
00:02:55entity, will continue and will not end except by destroying all
00:02:58of Saudi infrastructure belonging.
00:03:03of to the government, whether military facilities, airports, or of even ports and any vital facilities belonging to the Saudi regime. We do not do this
00:03:07out of revenge or to take vengeance, but rather to force the Saudi leadership to
00:03:11accept a comprehensive and permanent peace by agreeing to end the war and end the siege
00:03:15by both sides. The Saudi leadership can agree to achieve peace, and
00:03:19these are Yemen's demands. Now this comes amid a
00:03:23rapid escalation
00:03:24of the conflict in Yemen. The Hutis have released footage that he
00:03:28says shows dozens of fighters from the Saudi Back's presidential
00:03:32council surrendering to advancing hoodie forces.
00:03:35now the video comes as Saudi Arabia and its regional partners plan
00:03:39to step up their military coordination on Monday raising
00:03:43concerns that the conflict could expand further and
00:03:47of draw more countries in. now the attack comes as Saudi led
00:03:51forces in Yemen say they have destroyed three rocket launch
00:03:55of platforms that are used by Hudhi militants to quote
00:03:59of threaten regional security now, in fact the
00:04:02of group itself confirmed at the saudi air force carried out
00:04:0559 air strikes and messal attacks in just 24
00:04:09hours, causing multiple casualties. now professor of
00:04:13political science and mass communication at Qatar University,
00:04:17Dr. Ali
00:04:18of al- Khail believes that the main beneficiary
00:04:21of the escalation in the region is
00:04:23Israel. This is a
00:04:27of part
00:04:30in of the vicious circled. war between thehis and Saudi Arabia on
00:04:34one hand and between the hithis and what's called the
00:04:38legitimate government
00:04:41at the temporary capital city in Eden
00:04:44at southern Yemen,
00:04:48well could be,
00:04:50of well from the very first glance we can
00:04:54say probably
00:04:55it is
00:04:56of the hoothies, but also we should not '
00:05:00a doubt other sources, Israel probably
00:05:04takes advantage of this chaos
00:05:06and Israel has an interest
00:05:09in making so... Arabia
00:05:13bleeding and weakening Saudi Arabia
00:05:17in order to force Saudi Arabia into
00:05:21normalization with Israel. Now the
00:05:25Prime Minister of Pakistan, ally of Saudi Arabia has
00:05:29condemned the recent Hudhi attack on the airport in
00:05:32Riyadh. Shabaz Sharif expressed his
00:05:36countries on wavering solidarity with the leadership and people of Saudi
00:05:40Arabia. Earlier this week we got. comments from the editor in
00:05:43chief the Islamabad telegraph Kaswa Klasra,
00:05:47he said that Pakistan was taking no chances with regional
00:05:51threats as it placed its military on standby in case
00:05:55you would need to uphold the Mecca defense packs with
00:05:58Saudis. One the key figures from howt
00:06:02is gave a statement that either
00:06:05Pakistan or Turkey they they are if
00:06:09they collaborated with the Saudi Arabian. says they will
00:06:13face the music and this was the first time that
00:06:16Pakistan Pakistan responded with the fuel
00:06:20force, Pakistan's foreign minister categorically said that we
00:06:23have, we have actually signed an agreement with Saudi
00:06:27Arabian and we will do everything what
00:06:31is required to defend Saudi Arabian charity and the
00:06:35Holy Mosk the two holy
00:06:37mosk in Saudi Arabia as well so it means Pakistan's
00:06:40Islamabad has taken it. very very seriously, let tell you
00:06:44very very clearly that if you take in
00:06:47account the the
00:06:51activities the most powerful field
00:06:54marcher of Pakistan's army, he has
00:06:57been, he has been
00:07:01dividing his time between Riyadh and Islamabad during last
00:07:04couple of months, so it means Pakistan is very serious,
00:07:08Pakistan's head of on forces have been
00:07:11available. for round cloud for Saudi Arabians and when it comes
00:07:15to Makka defense, Pakistan's you know
00:07:19defense forces and also Pakistan leadership is on the same
00:07:22f. Pakistan has taken everything seriously,
00:07:26either the statement coming from the het is leadership or
00:07:30anywhere from from the region as well, so it means
00:07:34Pakistan is fully on board, Pakistan have been collaborating
00:07:37with Saudi Arabia for long time, but after signing of
00:07:41Makka back. means Pakistan is a party
00:07:45of Saudi Arabias conflict
00:07:48with so it means the Saudi conflict is not
00:07:52only between Saudi Arabia and howt is but it is also
00:07:56between His and Pakistan and His and
00:07:59Turkey as well now with Saudi Arabia coming
00:08:03under attack from the Hudis a daily basis and the Mecca
00:08:06defense agreement between the kingdom Turkey and Pakistan
00:08:10inforce Ankara has caution.
00:08:19Let me stress again, my friends, that this is defense agreement. When a
00:08:23state party to this agreement comes under attack, you stand by it to help it
00:08:26defend itself. This is not an offensive agreement. In other words,
00:08:30Turkey will not send its forces to the territory of another state to carry out
00:08:34attack. In Mecca, three leaders signed a promise, attack
00:08:38on one is attack on all. Turkia, Saudi
00:08:41Arabia. Pakistan. Two months on that promise is
00:08:45under fire. Hothi missiles and drones keep hitting Saudi airports and
00:08:49oil sites. Meeting in Riad, the Mecca Alliance agreed to send
00:08:53forces to the kingdom and quickly. The committee
00:08:57decided to move immediately to the practical implementation the collective defense
00:09:00commitments and to take the necessary measures to provide the agreed military
00:09:04forces and capabilities and ensure their rapid deployment in the
00:09:08kingdom. In accordance with the approved arrangements and the national legislation the
00:09:12parties. thereby enhancing readiness, military integration, and the
00:09:15collective capacity to confront and counter threats. President Erdogan has
00:09:19spelled out what that support could look like. Such
00:09:23support could take the form of intelligence, logistical or ammunition assistance.
00:09:27More advanced military support could also be considered depending on the scale the
00:09:31threat. Unka keeps the details to itself, and reports are
00:09:34filling the silence, special forces, pilots and aircraft,
00:09:38helping defend Riyad and the Holy Cities. An American official
00:09:42says, the help includes drone operators, none of
00:09:45it is on the record. Monday's statement does set one condition:
00:09:49forces deploy in accordance with the national legislation of each
00:09:52country, in Turkia, that means parliament, and parliament
00:09:56hasn't even ratified the pact. As for the Mecca
00:10:00agreement, the process here has in fact matured in terms the work done by
00:10:04the ministry, but of course for the agreement to take effect, it will come to
00:10:08parliament, and since this work has matured, it will be sent to parliament within a
00:10:12few days. Ankara's ambitions reach beyond the red sea
00:10:15d who leads the nationalist MHP, the ruling party's
00:10:19partner in parliament says the pact will elevate the country to the
00:10:23center of global. geopolitics. This is an
00:10:27exceptionally sound and important agreement. Its tendency towards
00:10:30expansion is also of immense strategic value. If these efforts are
00:10:34carried out under Turkey's leadership, this will bring us to the center,
00:10:38making us much more reputable in the world. So the next vote
00:10:42in Ankara is a treaty, not on troops. Sending soldiers would take
00:10:46second decision of its own. The arithmetic favors the
00:10:49government, the ruling alliance, the Justice and Development Party, and the
00:10:53Nationalist Movement Party. holds 326 of
00:10:56parliament's 600 seats, the largest opposition party wants
00:11:00no part in it, and its leader isguruza says, signing
00:11:04defense pack with a country at war makes Turki a party to
00:11:08that conflict. international agreements will have to be approved in this
00:11:12parliament if there are soldiers and weapons involved. we do not accept being part of
00:11:16Trump's Middle East order, we do not accept the adventurism of Trump, which will
00:11:20send soldiers to the deserts of Yemen for 100 years. uncot a
00:11:24frames its as defending Saudi Arabia, the leader
00:11:27Abdul Malik has message for Ankara and
00:11:31Islamabad. The Saudis want to involve
00:11:35regional powers, not only from the Arab arena, but even within the
00:11:38Islamic world. They aim to bring in the Turks and entangle
00:11:42them, to involve the Pakistanis as well, seeking their help day and
00:11:46night, calling out for them to assist them, to fight alongside them, to
00:11:50share in the sin and aggression against our dear people. A senior
00:11:54official, Muhammad. says the group doesn't expect
00:11:57Turkish or Pakistani troops inside Yemen, but
00:12:01even indirect help, he warns counts as joining the
00:12:04war, and last month he warned Ankara and
00:12:07Islamabad would meet an iron fist.
00:12:10Yasin, RT in
00:12:12Istanbul. Moving on
00:12:16now, immediately after blunt siding Ukraine with
00:12:20news about its diesel deal with Russia, Donald Trump decides
00:12:24to up the anti. suggesting it's time for new leadership in
00:12:27Ukraine, should have never started, you wouldn't have lost
00:12:3130% of your country already, you've lost 30% of your
00:12:35country and you've had over million people
00:12:38killed, but he could have settled it many times and he chose not to. that's
00:12:42a war that should have never started, and I think it's time for Ukraine to
00:12:46get new president. Donald Trump is no longer hiding his frustration
00:12:50with Vladimir Zelanski, putting the blame squarely on Kiev for
00:12:54continuing this. conflict non-stop, but the US president says that
00:12:57Washington has on multiple occasions asked Zelensky personally
00:13:01to stop strikes on Russian energy infrastructure on oil depots,
00:13:05because they have international consequences. We're seeing a global energy shortage that
00:13:09affect affects people worldwide, including the average American
00:13:13citizen. But you know, Trump ev interestingly went even
00:13:16further here, accusing Zelensky of having passed up multiple
00:13:20opportunities to try and settle this conflict, and he even said that he's to
00:13:24blame for. creating all these problems worldwide, but you know he's
00:13:28actually backing these words up with this concrete deal that we've seen, the diesel deal
00:13:32between Donald Trump and President Putin, which is set to bring
00:13:36Russian diesel into the US market, no an estimated
00:13:404.5 billion dollars, I mean that's a staggering number
00:13:43rory, and he says that Russia will essentially be able to
00:13:47supply uh 300,00 tons of diesel today
00:13:51and also another 500,000 tons next month, so
00:13:55there will be more shipments all throughout April because he deal also includes a
00:13:59temporary US sanctions waver to allow these Russian diesel
00:14:02exports and of course Trump has made absolutely no secret
00:14:06of his appreciation for Putin's willingness to actually send this
00:14:10diesel to the United States. Russia agreed to
00:14:13send us millions and millions of
00:14:17barrels of oil and it's diesel that's what we really
00:14:21need. So thank you. And that public.
00:14:25Thanks to Putin has evidently infuriated Kiev. Now
00:14:28Zelensky boldly on social media called Trump's decision
00:14:32to ink this deal as some sort of weakness betraying the deal
00:14:36as also this concession to Moscow. Is some
00:14:40of this moment when we are talking about peace, America is allowing
00:14:44Russia to export diesel. It's millions, billions. In any case, all
00:14:48of this is directed for war against the people, against Ukraine, against all of
00:14:51us. I believe our team is just being used as a facade. and that's definitely
00:14:55not fair. this is definitely not very partner-like in my opinion. this is a
00:14:59weak solution. unfortunately, it's a weak decision by strong
00:15:03partners. it seems like Zelensky can't grasp
00:15:07why the United States has has uh made this deal with Russia and can't
00:15:10grasp the fact that there is a global energy shortage in the situation. but there's
00:15:14another problem that Ukraine is currently facing and this is uh the
00:15:18announcement after so its delegation actually
00:15:21came to Florida just recently to sit down with the... American delegation, so
00:15:25Jared Krishna, this is Trump's son-in-law as well as Steve Witkoff,
00:15:29this is Trump's special envoy, but the talks apparently were supposed to
00:15:33initially last around 2 days, but the Ukrainian team reportedly cut. its
00:15:37visit short because Zelensky says that Ukraine was apparently blindsided
00:15:41by this Putin Trump deal, but you'd think that right now is the exact time
00:15:45that Zelensky would be approaching Trump from so for some sort of deal, some sort of
00:15:49talks, but it's evident that he doesn't think so. Clearly, the Kief
00:15:52leadership and its circle of friends and operators are very upset
00:15:56about this diesel deal. Meantime, what's what's the outlook from
00:16:00Moscow, any reaction from the Kremlin to this deal? Well, Moscow has
00:16:04benevolently welcomed this agreement, but
00:16:07is that? really surprising, we've seen this message consistently from Moscow that they're
00:16:10open to talks, to friendly relations with Washington, and
00:16:14we've also seen these uh, statements in social media uh
00:16:18that uh business ties, economic ties have been
00:16:22um hot topics behind closed doors, but following Friday's
00:16:26call with between Putin and Trump, the Kremlin also made it
00:16:29clear uh that Kiev's own actions have further undermined the
00:16:33prospects for this renewed peace, Vladimir Putin,
00:16:37Vladimir Putin provided detailed account the measures we are taking in
00:16:41response to the terrorist attacks by the Kiev regime, which has opted for
00:16:45escalation and various forms of prolonging the conflict, through its attempts to
00:16:48disrupt our elections by launching a massive drone strike on Moscow,
00:16:52other cities and polling stations on the main voting day, targeting
00:16:56specific individuals associated with organizing the elections. The key of
00:17:00regime has essentially derailed the possibility of immediately resuming the
00:17:03negotiation process. But we also know that the Kremlin has also...
00:17:07insisted that Russia is always prepared for a political and
00:17:11diplomatic settlement, but one that actually delivers what it
00:17:14describes as this long-lasting peace, the sustainable peace, not
00:17:18a freezing the contact line, not a sease fire that would just
00:17:21effectively allow heav to rearm, I mean we've seen that happen
00:17:25previously during those Minsk agreements, but what it seeks is
00:17:29an actual uh underlying solution to the
00:17:33conflict. Zelensky's had few choice words to say about it all, but
00:17:36it's uh... 'It's not the first time he's been angry at
00:17:40Donald Trump, well absolutely raw, I mean this is pattern that we've seen before,
00:17:44Donald Trump and Zelansky have certainly exchanged harsh words and
00:17:47whatnot, but just a day before this announcement of this diesel
00:17:51deal, Zelansky was already demanding that Trump implement harsher
00:17:55sanctions, pressure Russia, and also
00:17:58rejecting the uh suggestion that diplomacy had reached a dead
00:18:02end, and that was after a statement by Marco Rubio
00:18:04himself. We are not.' a diplomatic dead
00:18:08end, close down Putin's entire economy, so Russia's
00:18:12mouth shut, don't feed them with your sales, just impose sanctions on their
00:18:15weapons, open Starling to Ukraine, you did open it when you were responding
00:18:19to Iran, there's another way to conduct negotiations that will help push Putin toward
00:18:23negotiations, he doesn't want this, I think that President Trump can do
00:18:27more and as our ally he should do more, we've seen Donald
00:18:31Trump make harsh statements about Zelansky consistently, whether that's in the oval
00:18:34office, whether that's on social media, but with fuel. prices, American
00:18:38consumers and energy supplies now part the equation, you now this could
00:18:42prove to be way more than just another heated exchange between Zelensky
00:18:46and Trump, but Zelensky you may have pushed Trump into this position where
00:18:50the US president is actually focused more on prioritizing its own
00:18:53citizens over Ukraine, while
00:18:57Trump is giving a strong signals to Zelensky that his time is
00:19:01up, the Ukrainian foreign minister decided to praise the
00:19:05politician saying that he deserves the... people support
00:19:08now, this despite mounting losses on the frontlines
00:19:12and ongoing massive strikes to
00:19:14the country's infrastructure, now we spoke with a lecturer in
00:19:17political science at Rodgas University who says that
00:19:21Zelensky's term is long past due and he has become
00:19:25too custy for Washington to deal with him.
00:19:29We all know that Zelensky has effectively
00:19:32frozen elections over the past year, which means that he has
00:19:36long passed his. when
00:19:38we say that when we say that Trump says Ukraine needs
00:19:42a new president, it's not because of any
00:19:46expiration date within constitutional law, it's just that simply as far as
00:19:49Trump's concerned, Zelensky is no
00:19:53one that the United States can deal with, can
00:19:56cooperate with. Ukraine is page si news at
00:20:00this point as far as American politics are concerned, we're talking
00:20:04diesel prices in this country are somewhere over 5ive. dollars
00:20:08average a gallon, which means that we are running out of our own
00:20:11resources. Ukraine is the country,
00:20:14unfortunately that gets thrown under the bus for whatever needs
00:20:18and interest
00:20:19that it has, and when it comes to this new diesel fuel fuel deal that
00:20:23Putin had secured with Trump, it shows us once
00:20:27again, Russia plays the long game and they're able to just simply
00:20:31lock in, endure few short-term moments of
00:20:34discomfort, but they come out top winning as... far as Ukraine is
00:20:38concerned, they are the ones that are going to get isolated and forgotten about the
00:20:42most. I mean, while on the battlefield, Russia's
00:20:45defense ministry has confirmed the carried out strikes on data
00:20:49centers. in Kieve believed to be used by the Ukrainian
00:20:53military to collect, process and store intelligence. now this
00:20:57comes amid local media reports that large parts the capital are
00:21:00without power and of ballistic missile hitting the right bank
00:21:04the dinepa river there. now Kiev's mayor has
00:21:08announced that public transportation, including the
00:21:12subway trams and trolley buses have been
00:21:15suspended amid the widespread power
00:21:18outages.
00:21:22And now the head of Russia's nuclear energy agency has
00:21:25expressed surprise at how quickly a diesel fuel
00:21:29deal has reached with was reached with Washington and is
00:21:33hope that those who are behind sanctions against Russia
00:21:37will soon realize their mistake. At the Rus atom chief added
00:21:41that despite this renewed cooperation, all dialogue going
00:21:44forward must take into account Russia's overall security
00:21:48needs and its
00:21:50the Despite sanctions, lifting contracting of
00:22:02being
00:22:02relatively brief,
00:22:06and decisions
00:22:09Secondly, forth regarding so began to be implemented with lightning speed. a sense this gradually reveals the economic essence of
00:22:13sanctions, they have reached such a stage that they are beginning to cause systemic
00:22:17harm to major players such as the United States of America. "we
00:22:21are all inclined towards
00:22:22the further development of a positive dialogue provided of course that
00:22:25the objectives the special military operation are achieved and the security and
00:22:29interests of our country are
00:22:30ensured. now Donald
00:22:34Trump insists that the US wouldn't attack Iran at least
00:22:37before the American elections next month. However, he has
00:22:41hinted that the fighting may resume after the
00:22:44vote. We are having productive discussions with the Islamic
00:22:48Republic of Iran. I
00:22:49want to make..." it clear to everybody that while Iran is in very bad
00:22:53condition, both economically and militarily, and while the
00:22:56bloccade will remain in full force in effect, with oil flowing
00:23:00in record numbers of barrels through the Hormus Strate, 22 million
00:23:04barrels, last night alone, with not one barrel coming
00:23:08from or going to Iran, we will not be attacking Iran
00:23:11at any time prior to the mid-term elections to be held in the United
00:23:15States on November 3rd. Iran will not have nuclear
00:23:19weapon. Now while Trump praises his
00:23:23war on Iran, the fact seem to be to paint very
00:23:27different picture. now a congressional report has revealed that more
00:23:31than 80 US aircraft were damaged or destroyed
00:23:35a cost of around 3.3 billion dollars. now Iran's
00:23:39foreign minister has said that the US military suffered far greater
00:23:42losses than he claimed. The real tol is
00:23:46far higher, proof, sincom won't let a sitting senator inspect basis
00:23:50it claims are fine, you can fool all the people some the
00:23:53time. amid the US war on Iran, one question is up
00:23:57in the air, our US bases actually fine. now the latest
00:24:01report from congress indicates that losses for the United
00:24:05States so far have been modest, 81 aircraft
00:24:09downed or damaged and financial hit of up to $3.3
00:24:13billion dollars. however, the report raises a bigger question, which
00:24:16is, are us congressman and congress?
00:24:20being given accurate information about pentagon losses.
00:24:23These reported incidents may raise several considerations for congressional
00:24:27oversight. Congress may assess whether or not it has sufficient
00:24:31information and time to evaluate the potential effects of aircraft
00:24:34damage and losses in US military operations and potential
00:24:38DOD plans or programs to acquire replacements. But how
00:24:42much damage of U.S. bases actually suffered in the war.
00:24:46At this point, Trump and Hexithh insist the war is going well for the United States.
00:24:50states and that Iran has been annihilated, but it's widely acknowledged that Iran
00:24:53attacked more than 15 US bases throughout the region,
00:24:57that this point we have Trump insisting that nothing
00:25:01substantial has been lost. Take this recent response to a question
00:25:05about a US base that was attacked in Jordan. Nope, none
00:25:09whatsoever, no damage, nothing. In the meantime, the
00:25:13Pentagon has declined to comment on the actual scale
00:25:17the damage, that's why we've got congressional reports. like
00:25:20this: the congressional budget office is unable to estimate the cost
00:25:24of damage to US bases and facilities in the Middle East for two
00:25:27reasons: first,
00:25:29the Department of Defense has not provided the congressional budget office with
00:25:32information about the value of damaged or destroyed equipment and
00:25:36property. second, the extent of repairs or rebuilding that the
00:25:40department of defense plans to undertake is unclear, and even if the
00:25:43bases were fully repaired or rebuilt, a portion the costs of doing so
00:25:47could be paid by host nations. last n month report from the department of
00:25:51defenses, inspector general said that quote, hundreds
00:25:55of buildings and structures had been destroyed or damaged
00:25:59at US military bases in Kuwait, Bahrain.
00:26:02Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq,
00:26:06Oman, and Jordan, but it stopped short of giving a
00:26:10price tag for the damage. Now, we have some voices coming from the
00:26:14military speaking up as to why that might be. They blew the hell out
00:26:18of Bahrain. This is major damage to our bases that hasn't been
00:26:22communicated to the American public. We're standing there with our eyes
00:26:25closed, getting punched in the face. Senators are starting to ask
00:26:29questions. US senator and Democrat Chris Murphy.
00:26:32recently tried to inspect a US military base in Cutter. By his
00:26:36own account, he was denied access. He says it looks like
00:26:40there are certain things the Trump administration is trying to keep out of public
00:26:44eye. Something unprecedented happened during my trip to the Middle
00:26:47East, and that is this: I have been denied
00:26:51total access to U.S. military facilities in the region, in
00:26:55particular in Cutter, the Ludeed Air Force base, which is one of our
00:26:58biggest and most important facilities in the region. This is...
00:27:03deliberately trying to cover up the extent of damage,
00:27:07likely in the billions of dollars, trying to cover up the
00:27:11true cost of
00:27:12this war, trying to hide the actual consequences of a war that is
00:27:16spiraling out of control by the day. Pentagon
00:27:20officials say that Chris Murphy's office was informed before he left that he
00:27:24would be denied access to the base in compliance with the
00:27:28March 3rd order from Secretary Hegseth restricting travel to the
00:27:32area. The question must be asked, what was the actual cost of this
00:27:36military campaign Washington is calling victorious, and what
00:27:40is it about inspecting these bases and fortresses that
00:27:43Washington does not want to be revealed? Caleb Mopan, RT,
00:27:47New York. And that's a news update right now. I'll see
00:27:51you again at top the hour.
00:27:53Bye!
00:28:48I've spent years in conversations beyond
00:28:51borders, some were formal,
00:28:55some tense, some
00:28:57difficult, but all them
00:29:01mattered. They chartered India's
00:29:05path and how the world
00:29:08responded, foreign policy isn't
00:29:11theory, it is lived in
00:29:14arguments, in decisions and in their
00:29:18consequences. It's not an interview, it's a
00:29:22conversation. Let's
00:29:25talk.
00:29:42Hello and welcome to worlds apart. If you were asked to
00:29:45describe the United States relationship with other countries in three
00:29:49words, what would you choose? Constructive,
00:29:53strategic and stable, almost certainly not
00:29:56near the top the list, and yet, according to President Trump and
00:30:00President She, this true... will supposedly form the
00:30:04basis the US-China relationship going forward. how
00:30:07realistic is that? well, to discuss that i'm now joined by
00:30:11Andrew Lung a China specialist and Hong Kong's former
00:30:15chief representative for the UK, Russia, and number
00:30:18of EU member states. Mr. Lung, it's great to talk to you. Thank you very much for
00:30:22your time. Thank you very much indeed. Great to be on the
00:30:26show. We are recording this interview fresh after the Chinese
00:30:30president's visit to the United States with. resulted a
00:30:33placatory tarif reduction agreement, but it's
00:30:37a very hard not to be skeptical
00:30:41about how long it will stand given all
00:30:44the complicated relationship between China and
00:30:48the United States in recent months, how do you take it?
00:30:52well, you have to look at the uh read out
00:30:55from Beijing, even before the meeting '
