00:00:00the color revolutions behind the politics and the
00:00:02politicians, we shine a light on where the deep state is
00:00:08in hiding,
00:00:17and he should have an
00:00:19in election, and he can't raise the price of oil, it's not
00:00:22enough. Donald Trump says Kief needs a new leader,
00:00:26as Washington agrees with Moscow to lift sanctions on
00:00:29of imports of Russian diesel. "that decision is deemed weak by Vladimir
00:00:32Zelensky and it prompts a Ukrainian delegation to immediately
00:00:36leave the United States. The
00:00:40of hoouties warn shipping companies and airlines to not enter saudi
00:00:44airspace, and this comes after devastating strike on Riyad's
00:00:48main airport, killing 12
00:00:49of people and wounding over
00:00:52of 300. confirmed
00:00:53to RT that they carried out the attack. These
00:00:57of attacks are Yemeny attacks. We do not do this out of revenge." or to take
00:01:00vengeance, but rather to force the Saudi leadership to accept a comprehensive and
00:01:04permanent peace by agreeing to end the
00:01:06a war. this way attacks are now intensifying across southern Leben
00:01:10and they're increasingly striking areas beyond
00:01:13in the shifting boundaries of its so-called yellow zone. as
00:01:16IDF strikes on Lebanon go on unabated, the country's prime
00:01:20minister has acknowledged
00:01:22a crippling budget deficit to leaving financial recovery a distant
00:01:25prospect to despite offers of support from Hezbollah.
00:01:29most The village was destroyed, there is no sign
00:01:32of of
00:01:32of life. People were given ready-made housing units to live in, but
00:01:36they are completely bare. There's nothing inside. Life is difficult due
00:01:40to the constant presence of aircraft and ongoing strikes. We are always
00:01:47of anxious.
00:01:52Sam for the news on RT international. My name iskunov. Welcome to the
00:01:56program. Immediately after blind siting you.
00:02:00with news about its diesel deal with
00:02:01a Russia, Donald Trump decided to up the ant suggesting it's time for new
00:02:05leadership in Ukraine. It's Zelensky
00:02:09of delaying peace because he can't hold
00:02:12of elections while you created that war. Well, I think he should have an
00:02:16of election, and he could have settled this many times and he
00:02:19should have an election, and he can't raise the price of oil,
00:02:23it's done enough. It does appear that Zelensky has
00:02:27fallen out of Grayson. precedented manner for
00:02:31Donald Trump to come out and not only say it's
00:02:35time for for Ukraine
00:02:37to to get another leader for him to come out and say it's
00:02:40Zelensky's
00:02:42of fault that a peace agreement still hasn't been reached that he has
00:02:46denied offer after peace offer
00:02:50coming up with his own conditions we've of course
00:02:54seen this happen multiple times but for the president
00:02:56of the United States to come out and say so easy.
00:03:00and unprecedented and hugely, hugely
00:03:04damaging for Zelensky
00:03:06of himself. Zelenski needs to hang
00:03:09to every single thread of
00:03:13legitimacy that he can. This is the same Zelensky whose
00:03:16presidential term expired years ago.
00:03:20This is the same Zelensky who has refused election
00:03:24saying it's it's simply too difficult even as
00:03:27Russia has held election. along
00:03:31frontline settlement uh included, so
00:03:34there's certainly the the diplomatic pressure that is
00:03:38a being piled on Zelensky, as for Russia, Donald
00:03:42Trump thanked Russia for all the diesel
00:03:46that will now be
00:03:47of supplied to the United States. Russia agreed to
00:03:51send us millions and millions of
00:03:55barrels of oil, and it's diesel, that's what we really
00:03:59of need. Thank you, there was a build
00:04:02up to this, this
00:04:03of didn't come
00:04:04of out
00:04:04of the blue, you had the
00:04:06of United States, you with the conflict with Iran there's been
00:04:10a huge shortage in global oil
00:04:13supplies, the United States,
00:04:17of it's you know it's a common phrase, people vote at the pump,
00:04:21the price of uh petrol, the price of
00:04:24diesel are hugely important for American
00:04:28voters as well as for. for the american
00:04:30economy, for the financial
00:04:34of system, they depend on cars, on vehicles to get two and
00:04:38from work to transport goods
00:04:41in a manner that you few European nations
00:04:45depend on, there you have the United States under
00:04:48pressure due to the conflict with Iran, asking Russia to
00:04:52supply with diesel fuel to keep prices lower ahead of elections
00:04:56incredibly important for Donald Trump and Donald.
00:05:00Trump comes out publicly, repeatedly, asking Zelensky
00:05:04to cool it with strikes on Russian oil refineries. It doesn't
00:05:08matter if that Russian oil is going to the United States or to other
00:05:11countries, the...
00:05:13is to supply global oil markets to keep prices low, what does
00:05:17Zelenski do? zelensky comes out and
00:05:20says,
00:05:24and at this moment when we are talking about peace, america is allowing Russia to
00:05:28export diesel, it's millions, billions, any case, all of
00:05:32this is directed for war against the people, against Ukraine, against all of
00:05:36us, I believe our team is just being used as a facade, and that's
00:05:40definitely not fair, this is definitely not very. partnerlike in my
00:05:43opinion, this is a weak solution, unfortunately it's a weak
00:05:47decision by strong partners. this is essentially
00:05:50zelensky's worst nightmare, when the
00:05:54statements were
00:05:56published, then they made the
00:05:59rounds, all over the world, zelensky
00:06:02began frantically calling uh european
00:06:06leaders essentially trying to garn their support
00:06:10for them to come out and publicly say: 'you despite what Trump is
00:06:14saying we stand with Zelensky frantically,
00:06:18there was uh there were reports of four calls that he
00:06:22would uh stop calls with other European leaders when others
00:06:26would pick up, it was it was chaos,
00:06:29nevertheless, nevertheless this is for Zelensky, Russia
00:06:33and the United States trading after uh
00:06:36a break of four and a half years, well
00:06:40that is nightmare'.
00:06:45the
00:06:50to pretend that
00:06:5012% world's surface doesn't exist, something that the
00:06:54Europeans have been trying very hard to do, that that
00:06:57isn't working, worse than that, Zelensky's own
00:07:01legitimacy is being questioned by the people who
00:07:04supply most of his
00:07:06munitions, again a
00:07:10double nightmare. We are not
00:07:14in diplomatic dead end, close down Putin's entire
00:07:17economy, so Russia's mouth shut, don't feed them with your
00:07:20sales, just impose sanctions on their weapons, open Starling to
00:07:24Ukraine, you did open it when you were responding to Iran, there is another
00:07:28way to conduct negotiations that will help push Putin toward negotiations, he doesn't want
00:07:32this, I think that President Trump can do more and as our ally he should
00:07:36do more, and that is exactly the
00:07:40point that Russia was making. It was saying that
00:07:43Zelensky can't be negotiated with, that he
00:07:47has unrealistic expectations. For a half years into
00:07:51this war, Russia saddled with the most uh
00:07:54severe sanctions in recorded
00:07:57history, and Zelensky is coming out and saying,
00:08:01well we need more sanctions. Russia, which is
00:08:04again uh stood up to Ukraine's assaults,
00:08:081,600 drones launched at night.
00:08:13and Zelensky is saying we just need to launch more
00:08:16drones. This is the reason that Marshall says
00:08:20again, he can't be negotiated with, and there need to
00:08:23be new elections in Ukraine, sentiment that
00:08:27seemingly has now reached the United
00:08:30States. Kiif is not the only one against
00:08:34Washington lifting sanctions on Moscow. In fact, the EU is announcing
00:08:38vote will be held this Monday to impose its largest ever package.
00:08:42restrictions suspending
00:08:46sanctions on Russian diesel provides Moscow with more revenues to wage war.
00:08:50This is not the time ease pressure on Russia and Europe won't. On Monday
00:08:54EU foreign ministers intend to approve the biggest set of sanctions listings targeting
00:08:58Russia's war machines since the start the war. Despite
00:09:01Brussels and Kiev singing from the same song sheet, it
00:09:05seems not everyone in Ukraine is in tune with that. One former
00:09:09MP says the biggest threat to this country comes from.
00:09:15Today, true patriots the country must understand two
00:09:18points: first, Vladimir Zelensky will never agree
00:09:22to an end to the war, and his continued stay in power is guarantee that
00:09:26the war will continue. Second, the continuation the war will
00:09:30result in the total loss of statehood for Ukraine and a catastrophe for
00:09:34its population. It is Zelinski himself whose adequacy and
00:09:37sanity are subject to serious doubt, who is the main enemy of Ukraine
00:09:41and its people. too much is it stake, the people are waiting for
00:09:45justice and decisiveness. Ukraine cannot remain a hostage to the
00:09:49unhealthy ambitions and personal interests of a man who has imagined
00:09:53himself to be Napoleon. And to get more on this,
00:09:57let's cross live now to former advisor to the Prosecutor general of Ukraine
00:10:01and ex-diplomat Andrejenko. Andre, welcome to the program, it's always
00:10:04great to have you. Trump's known for speaking so to speak off the
00:10:08cuff, but this time he seems to have gone further than previously.
00:10:25ukraine was taken over by the US and they started to
00:10:28control almost everything, yes there were like
00:10:30a swing of attachments between the some government officials who are more
00:10:34neutral or who are more with Europe and the United States was trying to
00:10:38deal with them, but always it was full control united
00:10:42states uh the deep state from Washington
00:10:45especially not the maga movement or the republican party
00:10:49mostly but the deep state controlled Ukraine and that's how it left
00:10:53so the relationship was already... uh not there, it was just
00:10:57puppet show for the world to make Ukraine
00:11:01sound like it's an independent sovereign so-called democracy,
00:11:04but there was no democracy, there was no diplomatic relationship, the
00:11:08embassy there, basically I worked, I was in Washington, we
00:11:12were called up, said, oh, you have to do this by
00:11:16advisors to president Obama, I remember talking to national security
00:11:19council officials, you have to appoint this prime minister, fire this
00:11:23head official, and deliver this to the president and this
00:11:27has to be done, this is how the relationship worked, so there was never
00:11:31clear understanding that Ukraine was sovereign
00:11:33independent, and I appreciate you sharing those
00:11:37details with us, that's quite interesting, uh, regarding the relationship
00:11:41between Russia and the United States, of course the biggest news is the deal
00:11:44announced recently between uh the US and
00:11:48Russia, which gives Moscow wavor to export its diesel to
00:11:52America, uh, the agreement was announced while uh Ukrainian delegation
00:11:55was in Miami and it reportedly left the negotiations right after the
00:11:59news broke, how likely is it that Zelansky will change his tune and
00:12:03start pursuing peace? Zelensky is not
00:12:07a peace uh figure, he was put in
00:12:11place as pupet the west to take charge of this
00:12:15war, he was ready to fight and he agreed to fight a war with Russia
00:12:19in 2019 and he then
00:12:22basically made a show to stay. that for the Russian troops to move
00:12:26away from Kiev and sign so-called Istanbul agreements, for him it
00:12:30wasn't so-called, but for Russia, the whole world, people were waiting for peace, he
00:12:33then
00:12:34he he played in this game the of a leader that
00:12:38was being attacked, but he was the one who was attacking, he was the one
00:12:42who attacked Donbas and continued to do that, even though he could have
00:12:46agreed with the minsk accords, then again today we're seeing he's
00:12:50continuing every day, every time his rhetoric is just
00:12:53going bombardic. it not towards peace, even though the world is showing
00:12:57him, your time is done, deal with it, make peace for
00:13:01your country, and let's move on, no, he's still
00:13:04b bungging to the deep state from Brussels and London and some
00:13:08people in Washington to continue this war, because he thinks he
00:13:12can sabotage the elections in in in Washington DC, United
00:13:16States for the midterms and then have a change of
00:13:19power, have the democrats come and his buddies will continue
00:13:23to finance him, Blumental and all those crowd that are making money
00:13:27out of this war is gna help him with with fighting
00:13:31uh and standing power. The only thing he does he cares about is to stay in
00:13:35power, not to fight a war, but to be in power, make more money for him and for
00:13:39his owners abroad. That is the biggest problem, that's why it needs to be a change of
00:13:42leadership in Ukraine to neutral government.
00:13:46And uh, in fact, Zelansky has been repeatedly ignoring
00:13:50Trump's request to stop striking Russian energy infrastructure.
00:13:54Instead, he was... ramping up uh the attacks, the
00:13:57question is, I guess, what has given Zelinski the confidence to flat out
00:14:01defy Trump? the confidence was an order
00:14:05to given to him to destroy the mag republican
00:14:08movement, so it will not have power to move forward with the
00:14:12midterms, it was there from day one, as soon as Trump became president, and
00:14:16we talked about this here in your studio, every time
00:14:20since the last two years Zelensky was trying to sabotage Trump and
00:14:24have him be more weaken weakening his position with the teef deals
00:14:28especially trying
00:14:29to make them look like a fool with the hitting the oil refineries trying to
00:14:33make Trump look like fool on the situation
00:14:35he is not in control but the problem is it's not just Zelensky the people
00:14:39around or Donald Trump who are also pushing such narratives the
00:14:43deep state actors Brussels London are working to
00:14:46Berlin and Paris they're the ones who are
00:14:49getting Zelinski the power to move forward on this and that is the the
00:14:53biggest issue today. thank god Washington cames
00:14:57to its mind and they understand they can play this show, this
00:15:01puppet for their midterm elections. Zelenski was playing them, now
00:15:05they're going to play him, and I also talked about the senior studio a couple
00:15:08weeks ago that Zelensky will be used to
00:15:12replace the situation be used to replace Zelansky
00:15:15maybe during the midterms, what is going to be suitable for the
00:15:19president of United States to use Ukraine and it
00:15:23show how Ukraine was using. them again in their show, so this
00:15:26is this is what we come to, Ukraine is is just puppet
00:15:30in election processes, which hopefully
00:15:34in this situation will come to such a... good
00:15:38that there will be a change of government, not just words from President Trump, and there will
00:15:42be actual peace afterwards. All right, Andrejenko,
00:15:46former advisor to the prosecutor general of Ukraine and ex-diplomat, I appreciate
00:15:50you taking the time and sharing your thoughts with us on this. Thank you,
00:15:54God bless. Yeah,
00:15:58Huti military spokesperson has issued a statement warning
00:16:01shipping companies and commercial airlines to not enter Saudi
00:16:05airspace, and that's after 12 people were. killed and more than 300 wounded
00:16:09in houti attack on the main international airport in
00:16:12Riad. The Yemani
00:16:16armed forces renew their warning to all shipping companies, airlines, experts,
00:16:20employees, workers and travelers against using Saudi airports and
00:16:23airspace, as they are exposed to targeting and are a theater for
00:16:27operations by our forces, with the exception the airports of Mecca,
00:16:31al-Mukarama and Medina Al-Munawara. We urge everyone to take
00:16:35our warning seriously
00:16:36and Saudi Arabia. responsibility for any failed
00:16:39interceptions. Unverified footage circulating online appears
00:16:43to show smoke rising near the airport. The site has been
00:16:46evacuated and all flights suspended. Rad based correspondent
00:16:50mohammed al rashed reported that the attack inflicted substantial
00:16:54damage to multiple terminals which handle domestic and
00:16:57international
00:16:58flights.
00:17:02Indeed, this statement was issued by the saudi general authority of civil
00:17:06aviation approximately. 6 hours after the initial announcement made
00:17:09earlier today, it provided details on the number of casualties,
00:17:13confirming 12 dead and 309 wounded, including several in
00:17:17critical condition currently receiving treatment at hospitals in
00:17:21Riyadh. Among the dead were four Saudi nationals, two
00:17:24Bangladeshis, one American citizen, one Egyptian, one
00:17:28Jordanian, one Syrian, and one Palestinian. May they all rest
00:17:32in peace. Airport operations remain suspended for the time being as
00:17:36a precautionary. measure to ensure the safety of facilities and the
00:17:40continuation of operational processes. The recent statement also
00:17:44confirms that efforts are underway to assess the extent the material damages
00:17:48in coordination with authorities. Today's toll may represent the highest
00:17:51recorded from either huti or Iranian attacks during assaults on the kingdom of
00:17:55Saudi Arabia. I must also mention the attempt to maintain
00:17:59operations at King Fod International airport in Damasham, which is
00:18:03situated outside the city. We are currently managing the
00:18:06situation. been an incident outside the airport area.
00:18:10This provides a summary of what has transpired thus far and we are waiting further
00:18:13details regarding the injuries that are being treated. Furthermore, we
00:18:17have received information concerning the extent the damage to that airport.
00:18:21According to our sources, the areas impacted were terminal 3 and terminal
00:18:254. Terminal 3 is designated for domestic flights between cities and
00:18:29Saudi Arabia, while Terminal 4 accommodates certain international
00:18:32carriers. A senior huti spokesperson told
00:18:36RT that the... groups actions were a direct response to aggression by the saudies
00:18:40against civilian areas in
00:18:42Yemen, but yes, these
00:18:45attacks are Yemeny attacks, after 12 years of Saudi aggression, destroying
00:18:49Yemen infrastructure, whether airports, ports, even wedding and
00:18:53funeral halls as well as schools, hospitals and markets. It targeted
00:18:57everything in Yemen and targeted and destroyed all infrastructure, and today it
00:19:01acknowledges that airports are civilian facilities that must not be
00:19:04targeted under international law, but we say... that we deal with Saudi
00:19:08Arabia in kind and our military operations deep inside the Saudi
00:19:12entity will continue and will not end except by destroying all Saudi
00:19:15infrastructure belonging to the government, whether military facilities, airports or
00:19:19even ports and any vital facilities belonging to the Saudi regime. We
00:19:23do not do this out of revenge or to take vengeance, but rather to force the Saudi
00:19:27leadership to accept a comprehensive and permanent peace by agreeing to end the
00:19:31war and end the siege by both sides. The Saudi leadership can agree
00:19:35to achieve peace, and these are Yemen's demands.
00:19:39This comes amid a rapid escalation the conflict in Yemen. The Futhis have
00:19:43released footage that they say shows a dozens of fighters from the Saudi
00:19:47backed presidential council surrendering to advancing hoouti forces.
00:19:50The video comes as Saudi Arabia and its regional partners plan to
00:19:54step up their military coordination on Monday, raising concerns
00:19:58that the conflict could expand further and draw more countries
00:20:02in. The Saudi led forces in Yemen say
00:20:06they have destroyed three. rocket launch platforms that are used by
00:20:09khuthi militants to quote to threaten regional security. In fact, the
00:20:13group itself confirmed the Soudi Air Force carried out 59 air
00:20:17strikes and missile attacks causing multiple
00:20:19casualties. With Saudi Arabia coming
00:20:23under attack from the futhies a daily basis and the
00:20:26Mecca defensive agreement between the kingdom, Turkey and Pakistan
00:20:30inforce, Ankara has caution that it will not send its troops to another
00:20:34country for any military offensive.
00:20:50will not send its forces to the territory of another state to carry out
00:20:53attack. In Mecca, three leaders signed a promise: attack
00:20:57on one is attack on all. Turkia, Saudi
00:21:01Arabia, Pakistan. Two months on that promise is
00:21:04under fire. Huthy missiles and drones keep hitting Saudi airports and
00:21:08oil sites. Meeting in Riad, the Mecca Alliance agreed to send
00:21:12forces to the kingdom and quickly. The committee
00:21:16decided to move immediately to the practical implementation the collective defense.
00:21:20commitments and to take the necessary measures to provide the agreed military
00:21:24forces and capabilities and ensure their rapid deployment in the kingdom.
00:21:28In accordance with the approved arrangements and the national legislation the parties,
00:21:31thereby enhancing readiness, military integration, and the collective
00:21:35capacity to confront and counter threats. President Erdogan has spelled
00:21:39out what that support could look like. Such support
00:21:43could take the form of intelligence, logistical or ammunition assistance. More
00:21:47advanced military support could also be considered depending on the scale of.
00:21:51the details to itself and reports are filling the silence, special
00:21:55forces, pilots and aircraft helping defend Riyad and the
00:21:59Holy Cities. An American official says the help includes Turkish drone
00:22:02operators, none of it is on the record. Monday statement does set
00:22:06one condition: forces deploy in accordance with the national
00:22:10legislation of each country. In turkia,
00:22:13that means parliament and parliament hasn't even ratified the
00:22:16pact. As for the Mecca agreement. "the process here has
00:22:20in fact matured in terms the work done by the ministry, but of
00:22:24course for the agreement to take effect, it will come to parliament, and since this work
00:22:28has matured, it will be sent to parliament within a few days.
00:22:32Ankara's ambitions reach beyond the red sea d who leads
00:22:36the nationalist MHP, the ruling party's partner in
00:22:39parliament, says the pact will elevate the country to the center
00:22:43of global geopolitics. This is an exceptionally
00:22:47sound and important agreement, its tendency towards..." mansion is also of
00:22:51immense strategic value. if these efforts are carried out under Turkey's
00:22:54leadership, this will bring us to the center, making us much more
00:22:58reputable in the world. so the next vote in Ankara is
00:23:02a treaty, not on troops. sending soldiers would take a second
00:23:05decision of its own. the arithmetic favors the government, the
00:23:09ruling alliance, the justice and development party and the nationalist movement
00:23:13party holds 326 of parliament's 600
00:23:17seats. the largest opposition party wants no... part in it, and its
00:23:21leader Uzgruza says, signing defense pack with a country at
00:23:25war makes Turke a party to that conflicts.
00:23:28International agreements will have to be approved in this parliament if there are soldiers and
00:23:32weapons involved. We do not accept being part of Trump's Middle East order.
00:23:36We do not accept the adventurism of Trump, which will send soldiers to the deserts of
00:23:40Yemen for 100 years. Ancata frames its role as
00:23:44defending Saudi Arabia. The Houthi's leader Abdul Malik al-huthi
00:23:48has message for Ankara.
00:24:01to involve the pakistanis as well, seeking their help day and night,
00:24:05calling out for them to assist them,
00:24:07to fight alongside them, to share in the sin and aggression against our
00:24:11dear people. a senior official, says
00:24:15the group doesn't expect Turkish or Pakistani troops
00:24:19inside Yemen. but even indirect help he warns counts
00:24:22as joining the war, and last month he warned Ankara and
00:24:26Islamabad would meet an iron fist.
00:24:29Yasin, RT in
00:24:31Istanbul. I mean a
00:24:35surge and IDF strikes on Lebanon, the country's prime minister has acknowledged the
00:24:39critical budget shortfall. Despite Hezballah offering to provide
00:24:42support, financial recovery remains a distant prospect as
00:24:46Washington has tied additional support to the disarmament them.
00:24:55pilot
00:24:56one zones the sitting so-called right on the edge of Israel's yellow line, the zone of
00:24:59occupation, a drone hovers overhead watching us omminously, and just
00:25:03moments ago there was an air strikers fighter jets raw overhead watching us,
00:25:07israely attacks are now intensifying across southern Lebanon, they're
00:25:11increasingly striking areas beyond the shifting boundaries of its
00:25:15so-called yellow zone, we have been displaced twice,
00:25:18first in 2024, and again in 2026, this time the
00:25:22situation was truly tragic, most the village was destroyed, there
00:25:26is no sign of life, people were given ready-made housing units to
00:25:30live in, but they are completely bare, there is nothing inside, even
00:25:34securing water is difficult, and there it is absolutely no
00:25:37electricity, most people sleep by candle
00:25:40light. life is difficult due to the
00:25:44constant presence of aircraft and ongoing strikes, we are always
00:25:47anxious, there is nothing here
00:25:49if i water pitcher, I can't find one. I can't even make cup of tea or
00:25:53coffee. There's water, no refrigerator, no bed, no washing
00:25:57machine. There is absolutely nothing. It is extremely
00:26:00difficult. God help the army. It cannot even protect
00:26:03itself, let alone get the necessary weaponry. How then could it
00:26:07possibly protect civilians? Had there been a strong state a
00:26:10well-armed military, Israel would never have dared to invade. At least
00:26:1435 artillery shells hit Mansori. This is village on the
00:26:18end of that zone where the Israeli forces have progressively expanded their
00:26:22area of control. Mansori was then hit again on with air strikes,
00:26:26artillery and major detonations
00:26:28and Israely fire is also reaching well beyond that so-called yellow zone.
00:26:32near Maifordun, three Israeli artillery shells landed very close to journalists from
00:26:36Algeidid and Navatia News uh fortunately there were no injuries in that
00:26:40particular attack, but once again it highlights the danger to those reporting on
00:26:44Israeli operations as journalists are routinely targeted. Israeli
00:26:48forces attacked 15 southern towns with demolitions reported in six
00:26:52them, and in Hoola, Israeli troops planted explosives inside the
00:26:55Jabellammo public school and then detonated it, just one of many schools
00:26:59destroyed in recent weeks. Now all of this came immediate. after prime minister
00:27:03now of salam traveled to nearby nabatia promising reconstruction. his
00:27:07visit, however, didn't go smoothly. he was confronted by residents
00:27:11demanding to know when they could return home. many angry at what they see as
00:27:15government action. locals use that relative calm around the
00:27:18visit to enter nav alfawa and expect an inspector
00:27:22home sorry for the first time in months, but even as salam spoke, the Israeli
00:27:26attacks were hitting the surrounding area. i am not here
00:27:30to sell you illusions nor to promise. I cannot deliver, we still
00:27:34need significant funding. And it's the cost here that's key. Salam
00:27:37previously identified the funding needed at 27 billion US
00:27:41dollars a sum he says Lebanese State simply doesn't have. Now
00:27:45following his visit, Hesbollah Secretary General Naim Kassam said that the
00:27:48organization would contribute to shelter and reconstruction for the people
00:27:52displaced from the south. Hezball MP Hasan Fadlala said on Saturday
00:27:56that this pledge would unsettle the United States with Washington
00:27:59insisting that AID is tied to disarmament. We will not
00:28:03discuss the final figures relating to aid for our people in the housing
00:28:07program, as this would come as a shock to the Americans. Well, exactly how much
00:28:11money Hesbolar can provide and when remains unclear, but the immediate
00:28:14problem isn't simply who pays for reconstruction, it's the expansion the
00:28:18Israeli occupation. Uniform has documented Israeli forces operating
00:28:22from nearly 30 positions in southern Lebanon, including eight
00:28:2645 bases. Israeli forces have already pushed beyond their own yellow
00:28:30line in some areas while Israeli officials say they want to retain a
00:28:33security zone extending as much as 10 kilometers inside
00:28:37Lebanon. This comes as Salam continues to talk, at least on the
00:28:41surface about Israeli withdrawal, seemingly in contradiction with the
00:28:45reality on the ground. Your priorities will
00:28:48remain our priorities: stopping the Israeli attacks,
00:28:52Israel's complete withdraw from our territory, and the safe and
00:28:56dignified return of people to their homes. Now the eighth round of talks
00:29:00between Lebanon and Israel is planned for later this month. some saying they will take place in
00:29:03Florida, but months of negotiations have so far produced little
00:29:07concrete change for the people the south. Israel remains inside
00:29:11Lebanon and is expanding its presence while escalating its attacks as
00:29:15noted by uniful observers. hundreds have been killed since the latest
00:29:18supposed ceasefire. cease fire is something which Israel has never really
00:29:22added to. talks about reconstruction seem unrealistic while
00:29:26Israely destruction continues. so the key question now is whether
00:29:30the negotiations can produce something. "that
00:29:33is an end to the attacks and an Israely withdrawal. All the evidence
00:29:37on the ground suggest that in reality this is something of distant
00:29:41hope. This is Steve Streeni for RT, southern
00:29:44Lebanon. This is all the news we have for you this hour, but I'll be back with more
00:29:48stories and analysis, in about 30 minutes here on RT International, you stay with
