00:01:05The Ministry of Defense reports new strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.
00:01:08In Mykolaiv region, a logistics center of Nova
00:01:12Poshta, where dual-use goods were stored, was hit. In addition,
00:01:15two dry cargo ships were attacked in the Black Sea. They were carrying
00:01:19military cargo. Earlier, the Ministry of Defense also reported a night
00:01:22series of strikes on Ukrainian facilities. About the consequences,
00:01:26Stanislav Vasilychenko.
00:01:31A bright flash and a loud explosion. Geran hit
00:01:34its target. The video was shot in the city of Pesochn, Kharkiv
00:01:37region, under attack by Russian drones, the local
00:01:40CHPP-5.
00:01:44The Armed Forces of Ukraine use the civilian network of Ukraine's energy facilities for their
00:01:47purposes, mainly to support the production and repair
00:01:50of military equipment. That is why after Russian strikes, electricity
00:01:54disappears both at such factories and in ordinary apartment
00:01:58buildings.
00:02:02Kyiv is experiencing the most difficulties with electricity. Today, energy workers
00:02:06reported that all electricity generation in the Ukrainian
00:02:09capital has been completely destroyed by ballistic strikes. Due to emergency
00:02:13power outages, disruptions began in the operation of the water supply system and
00:02:16sewage. Many Kyiv residents were forced to leave
00:02:20the city. Everyone understands that the situation is currently
00:02:23difficult, but it will be even more difficult. What could be
00:02:27worse? The worst thing that could happen is...
00:02:35The suffering of ordinary people does not concern the Kyiv regime, it does not go for peace and
00:02:39even on the contrary calls for escalation, so Rada deputy
00:02:42Nagornyak announced the need to attack Russian schools and
00:02:46residential buildings, we need them to feel, we need
00:02:49Russians living in Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg,
00:02:53to face the same problems that Kyiv residents are facing today,
00:02:57so that their streets have... in
00:03:00apartments there was no water, in their residential buildings and schools,
00:03:04drones flew in. This is a call for committing terrorist acts. In response to such
00:03:08criminal policy of Kyiv, the Russian army strikes. Over the past
00:03:11day, Nova Poshta warehouses in Mykolaiv and Epicenter
00:03:15shopping center in Dnipropetrovsk were destroyed. There, the Armed Forces of Ukraine
00:03:18stored weapons. Since the beginning of 2026, more than twenty such large
00:03:21facilities and civilian
00:03:24postal warehouses have been hit, but Ukrainian militants stubbornly continue to use
00:03:28the remaining ones for their own purposes.
00:03:34And in these frames, the defeat of four locomotives in Odesa, Kryvyi
00:03:37Rih Pyatykhatky Dnipropetrovsk region. They became the target
00:03:40of Russian geraniums because they transported fuel for
00:03:43the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is also reported that a Ukrainian dry cargo ship was hit
00:03:47in the Black Sea. Tonight, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation
00:03:51continued to strike with unmanned aerial vehicles at
00:03:55port infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, as well as at merchant ships
00:03:58involved. Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the strike,
00:04:01a dry cargo ship was hit while transiting the sea,
00:04:05delivering military cargo to the port of Odesa.
00:04:09There is no shortage of geraniums in the Russian army. Which cannot be said about ammunition for
00:04:12Ukrainian air defense. Bankova has the opportunity to
00:04:16prevent the complete destruction of the independent. And before it's too
00:04:19late, the Kyiv authorities should reconsider Russia's conditions
00:04:22for a ceasefire and the start of peace
00:04:25negotiations. Stanislav Vasilychenko, Olga Prokanova.
00:04:28Vesti. All electricity generation in
00:04:32Kyiv has been completely destroyed by ballistic strikes of the Russian
00:04:36military, the Ukrainian Center for Energy Research said,
00:04:39the city is now completely dependent on external
00:04:42supplies, which are irregular, in a number of areas
00:04:45there are emergency power outages, the metro has stopped, ground
00:04:49electric transport, water supply interruptions are expected.
00:04:53More details about the situation in Kyiv, Margarita
00:04:55Semenyuk.
00:04:57Kyiv residents joke that the world is testing the supply of Pepsi-Cola directly
00:05:01from the tap, but the jokes end with the water, Ukrainians
00:05:05are warned about water supply schedules due to electricity
00:05:08interruptions, water schedules will be because it
00:05:11will be associated with the delivery of fuel, at least with the installation of supply
00:05:15generators. Transformer substations cannot operate
00:05:18continuously. At the same time, Kyiv schools may well switch to distance learning due to
00:05:21the lack of water and light. Some institutions will use
00:05:25generators, and with dim lighting will conduct lessons only
00:05:28orally. And if there is no hot water in the homes and apartments of
00:05:32Ukrainians, one can recall the lifehack that Kyiv Mayor
00:05:35Vitali Klitschko shared 12 years ago.
00:05:38Кличко.
00:06:16But will gasoline be needed if traffic stops on the roads in Kyiv, traffic jams
00:06:20towards the Paton Bridge, in the morning the passage was severely
00:06:23hampered.
00:06:26In the capital of Ukraine, electric transport completely stopped. Local media reported
00:06:30that the metro suspended train movement and escalator operation,
00:06:33trolleybuses and trams stopped. In general, something again flew into the energy sector,
00:06:37again three metro lines there, in short, do not work, again
00:06:41some problems, interruptions with... electricity, I do not want to bother you, against
00:06:44the background of diesel agreements between Russia and the United States, Ukrainian grain
00:06:48sagged, Zelensky even compared the food crisis to a watermelon,
00:06:52the sea is blocked and Kyiv cannot export millions of tons to
00:06:55the markets of the African continent, the crisis predicted by Zelensky will, according to his
00:06:59calculations, occur in the coming months. Firstly,
00:07:02of course, the blocking of grain exports from Ukraine
00:07:06will seriously hit the financial capabilities of
00:07:09the terrorist Kyiv regime, simply reduce the
00:07:12revenue from this type of export, secondly,
00:07:16of course, there is simply nowhere to put grain within
00:07:19Ukraine, so they will not be able to store it, nor will they be able to export it.
00:07:23Europe is tired of Ukraine, and Zelensky is shouting about a crisis in which
00:07:26he personally drowned the country. Kyiv did not receive almost 30
00:07:30billion dollars, because the parliament and government did not fulfill
00:07:33European requirements, introduce a tax on parcels, rules
00:07:37for taxing digital platforms and ensure the rule of law and
00:07:40the fight against corruption.
00:07:44This figure should be adjusted on the last tranche, but still the amount of funds that
00:07:47should arrive by the end of the year is very large, and this is now a matter of
00:07:51Ukraine's survival, and this is about what we all must understand how
00:07:54critical it is now.
00:07:58Meanwhile, against the background of all problems, Kyiv literally
00:08:01plunged into darkness. Margarita Semenyuk, Artyom Artyshov,
00:08:05Vesti.
00:08:08NATO Commander-in-Chief in Europe presented an action plan at the forum in Warsaw.
00:08:42The NATO Commander-in-Chief in Europe, Alexus
00:08:46Grinkevich, came to the security forum to share. Remarkably,
00:08:48first of all, of course, is the name of the document. This is not a plan
00:08:52for victory, nor a strategy, nor a doctrine, nor a program, nor a project,
00:08:56nor a concept, nor a concept. This is a theory of how to
00:08:59defeat Russia on the battlefield, a hypothesis that for
00:09:0380 years no one has dared to test.
00:09:05This afternoon I will tell you how we will
00:09:09do it, I will outline what I call my theory of victory. We
00:09:12will invest in it every zloty, euro, dollar, pound or
00:09:16krona. If we talk about specifics, NATO plans to
00:09:19exhaust Russian forces in border battles and prevent them from seizing
00:09:22any piece of NATO land, and then seize the initiative with high-precision
00:09:26strikes on headquarters, control centers, communication lines, and
00:09:29Moscow's supply. The goal is not to march on the capital
00:09:32of Russia, but to limit actions at its
00:09:35borders. The theory of victory is rooted in
00:09:39military thinking many decades ago.
00:10:55call it the new sick man of Europe. The public debt broke a historical
00:10:58maximum of 119%
00:11:00of GDP. The streets were engulfed in protests, and he is still talking about
00:11:04the same thing. Emmanuel Macron declares that we must not succumb to the Russian
00:11:07threat.
00:11:09I'll tell you this, there is no Russian threat in France. But there is a threat from
00:11:13Macronists, and there is a threat from supporters of the European Union.
00:11:17The real threat is your European Empire. And American
00:11:20interference in France is huge, it is incomparably larger than
00:11:23Russian.
00:13:16The US, testifies only to one thing: everyone understands, in a couple
00:13:20of months winter will come, in winter, Ukraine will collapse.
00:13:24A remarkable reservation was made by
00:13:27Merz's colleague Gunter
00:13:29Krichbaum.
00:13:35We must not forget that this aggressive war against Russia,
00:13:39I apologize, against Ukraine, violates international law.
00:13:42Meanwhile, another Guntar, only in Latvia and not
00:13:45a deputy, but a farmer, complains to a local TV channel that his field was
00:13:49sown with concrete pyramids, dragon's teeth,
00:13:52which should stop the Russian.
00:14:25tons of diesel fuel per month, this was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak in
00:14:29an exclusive interview with our TV channel, he clarified that
00:14:32the country is fully supplied with fuel, the capacities of our refineries are much higher
00:14:36than domestic needs, especially since in some countries diesel prices
00:14:40have almost doubled since the beginning of the year.
00:14:43раза.
00:14:46The government promptly issued an order to
00:14:49partially lift the ban on the export
00:14:52of diesel fuel to world
00:14:55markets, including the markets of the United States of America. Previously,
00:14:59sanctions were in effect, they were lifted
00:15:02by American colleagues for 6
00:15:05months. And today negotiations are already underway
00:15:08between our companies, buyers of Russian raw materials, and
00:15:12also between the Ministry of Energy of Russia and the Ministry of Energy of the United States
00:15:15of America.
00:15:18Yemeni Houthis claim to have hit Riyadh
00:15:21airport with a ballistic missile. Footage of
00:15:25air defense operation is coming from the scene. In addition, the Ansar Allah movement claims a strike on
00:15:28an airbase in southwestern Saudi Arabia. Confirmation from
00:15:32Riyadh has not yet been received. However, earlier the Wall Street Journal
00:15:35reported that Saudi Arabia is looking for more air defense systems
00:15:39for protection. Elizaveta Khramtsova is following
00:15:42the situation.
00:15:44The atmosphere at the anniversary 25th World Energy Congress
00:15:48in Riyadh sharply contrasts with what has been happening in
00:15:52the capital's airports in the kingdom as a whole in recent days. The Saudi
00:15:55Arabian authorities are trying not to change their plans, especially when it comes to
00:15:59investments, but the Yemeni Houthis manage to put pressure
00:16:02on Riyadh that has not been seen for many
00:16:04years.
00:16:07City
00:16:42for city, if Saudi Arabia continues to increase
00:16:45the intensity of its actions against our country, our military
00:16:49options, which are very diverse, it will not be able to
00:16:52withstand even for a month. Saudi Arabia has been fighting
00:16:55its southern neighbors since 2015. The Ansar
00:16:59Allah movement, consisting of Zaidi Shiites, controls
00:17:02the capital of Yemen and a significant part of the territory in the east
00:17:05of the republic. It is believed that some support is provided to the group by
00:17:09Iran, the Houthis are opposed by an international coalition led by
00:17:12Saudi Arabia, the war, which has been going on with varying degrees of
00:17:15intensity, entered a new stage this summer, when
00:17:18the Houthis occupied the entire western coast of the Red Sea and cities near
00:17:22the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.
00:17:25The Houthis still hold, although surrounded, the strategically important island
00:17:29of Perim, located between Yemen and Djibouti, but at the same time the Houthis
00:17:33have managed to achieve significant success, the city of Taiz is again under siege.
00:17:37And it's not just about military aspects, it's about a city with a population of more than
00:17:41a million people, it's tempting to believe that rapid changes
00:17:44await us, but in reality on the ground we still observe
00:17:48an exhausting war of attrition. The internationally recognized
00:17:51authorities of the republic, who are effectively in exile, announced last
00:17:55week the launch of Operation Yemen Dawn, its key
00:17:58goal is the liberation of Sana'a from the Houthis. The head of the ruling
00:18:02Presidential Council of Yemen, Rashad al- Alimi, expressed condolences regarding
00:18:05the attacks on the airport.
00:19:08Also, the newspaper's sources assure that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud
00:19:12has significantly increased his security
00:19:14in recent days.
00:19:18They have learned to use missiles and projectiles that do not create a radar
00:19:21signature in flight, and therefore do not activate Patriot system sensors. For
00:19:25Saudi Arabia, this is a catastrophic situation. The country has spent billions
00:19:29of dollars on the most modern defense systems, but is unable
00:19:32to counter cheap drones and mass-produced
00:19:35missiles. In this regard.
00:19:45Due to the escalation in the region, a number of states have issued warnings to their citizens,
00:19:48so the US State Department informed its diplomats
00:19:52accredited in Saudi Arabia about restrictions on the use of airports
00:19:56and recommended traveling by land. Elizaveta Khramtsova, Evgenia
00:19:59Zentsova, Vesti.
00:20:02Nine Russians who were stranded in the mountains of
00:20:05Nepal did not buy tours from companies belonging to the Association
00:20:09of Tour Operators of Russia, the organization itself reported.
00:20:13Let me remind you, a group of compatriots was stuck in the Himalayas after a powerful
00:20:16flood on Sunday. Our embassy reported that there is no immediate
00:20:20threat to their lives now, but a helicopter is needed
00:20:24for evacuation. Our correspondent Evgeny Davidov is following
00:20:27the situation.
00:20:34Houses, bridges, roads, the river overflows its banks, sweeping away everything
00:20:37in its path in the Nepalese district of Gorkha, a powerful mudslide hit
00:20:41the valley of the Budhi-
00:20:42Gandaki River.
00:20:50Nine Russian tourists were in distress, they were heading for a trek
00:20:53around Mount Manaslu, according to the Russian embassy in Nepal, there is no threat
00:20:57to their life and health, they climbed higher and are waiting for
00:21:00a helicopter evacuation. The conditions for overnight stay are bad, the main option
00:21:04to resolve the situation is to hire a helicopter at their own expense, the trackers' insurance
00:21:07does not imply payment for helicopter evacuation as a result of the flood,
00:21:11the tourists do not have their own funds, the embassy appealed to the local
00:21:14authorities with a request to consider the possibility of evacuating compatriots. According
00:21:18to local authorities, dozens of houses have been destroyed, the flood damaged bridges
00:21:22and hydropower facilities, along the river, uprooted
00:21:26trees, where roads and tourist trails recently passed, now
00:21:29impassable blockages.
00:21:33In the morning we heard a very loud sound, similar to an earthquake. Later we
00:21:37learned what happened ahead, right in our path. We were
00:21:41blocked, then my friend and I were evacuated by military
00:21:44helicopter, we were rescued and brought here. Military helicopters
00:21:48evacuate people from hard-to-reach areas and deliver humanitarian aid, on
00:21:52the ground, tents, bedding, generators,
00:21:55and emergency lighting equipment are being prepared.
00:21:59Today, military helicopters rescued more than 200 people, during the day
00:22:03flights were temporarily suspended due to strong winds, but they will resume as
00:22:07soon as weather conditions improve. According to preliminary information, one of the tourists
00:22:09stranded in the Himalayas was Russian Maria
00:22:13Yerokhina. On her social media page, she was looking for
00:22:16like-minded people to hike to Buddhist monasteries in the Nepalese
00:22:19valley. Moreover, the tour description says that you can even go on the route with
00:22:23children. However, experienced travelers warn that such
00:22:26hikes require serious preparation, studying the route in advance, assessing
00:22:30physical capabilities, checking insurance, and providing for a backup
00:22:34plan in case of bad weather. It is very important when going on such a trip to have
00:22:38insurance that will cover mountain trekking, because
00:22:41the height there reaches 5106 m at the pass. This trek is
00:22:45not connected by automobile roads, and an injured person
00:22:48can only be evacuated from there by air.
00:22:52In emergency situations, many trekking routes in Nepal are restricted access zones, the trip
00:22:56is necessarily organized through a licensed Nepalese agency, so
00:23:00the organizer must have a Nepalese partner who knows the exact
00:23:03location of the group. It is unknown whether the Russians had such
00:23:07assistants. Descending at night from the mountains along destroyed paths
00:23:10is extremely dangerous, the stranded tourists are now waiting for aerial
00:23:14evacuation, when this becomes possible depends largely on the
00:23:18weather. Evgeny Davidov.
00:24:33technologies, saving lives in extreme conditions. The 17th
00:24:37Congress of Russian Surgeons began its work in the capital's
00:24:40World Trade Center. The large-scale forum gathered thousands
00:24:43of delegates. The focus is on introducing the latest
00:24:47scientific achievements into daily hospital practice and new
00:24:50standards of military field medicine. Alena

00:24:56equated to

00:25:01Alexey Ivanovich Popov, as he himself admits, tried to avoid doctors for
00:25:05years, but life forced him. I had an operation
00:25:08from about 9 to 11,
00:25:11it took 2 hours. The first hours, I certainly did not feel very
00:25:15comfortable, it was after the operation the anesthesia wore off,
00:25:18it hurt. He... the night passed, today you see, I am ready to go to work,
00:25:22everything is fine, the surgeon has a volumetric image of internal
00:25:26organs with multiple magnification in front of his eyes, fingers in manipulators, feet on
00:25:29pedals, the robotic arm
00:25:32rotates in all
00:25:35directions, the ability to manipulate in the most
00:25:39difficult to reach areas
00:25:42as much as possible, breakthrough technologies, operations through
00:25:46vessels, organ transplants, patient safety and training...
00:25:50personnel are discussed at the 17th Congress of Russian Surgeons
00:25:53and the 11th Congress of Moscow Surgeons, which are held
00:25:57in the capital, under the general motto surgery is space, and we
00:26:00operate, uh. more than
00:26:0310 million
00:26:06patients, about
00:26:0850% are performed with minimally
00:26:11traumatic technological
00:26:14accesses. Today we actively use surgical
00:26:18rhythmology, only domestic technologies, they are not inferior to
00:26:21Western ones, of course, today we invented a special
00:26:25device for clipping, we
00:26:28actively use new threads that are made in...
00:26:34Of course, a surgical robot is still an expensive pleasure, both the
00:26:37systems themselves, and maintenance, and consumables. materials, therefore, Russian doctors are
00:26:40particularly interested in the appearance of domestic robotic
00:26:43complexes that will be able to expand access to such
00:26:46operations. The robot that is presented today is unique, it is
00:26:50better than American and Chinese analogues, it has
00:26:53more degrees of freedom, expanded functionality, so I am sure that
00:26:57it will be in demand not only by Russian surgeons, but
00:27:00will also be able to take a significant niche in the
00:27:03international market, a special place in military field
00:27:06surgery: participants analyze the evolution of tactical medicine,
00:27:10compare approaches of different countries and highlight best practices
00:27:14suitable for use in emergency situations. Our
00:27:17task is to bring medicine and highly qualified
00:27:20medical care as close as possible to the line of
00:27:23combat contact, where our heroes
00:27:27get wounded, this is also genetic
00:27:30engineering. specialists from many countries,
00:27:35representing
00:27:36представляющих
00:27:44different medical schools. The technologies that are coming today are
00:27:48minimally invasive, they, of course, already use
00:27:51software, artificial intelligence, and specialist
00:27:55training, of course, requires a broader
00:27:58outlook. The organizer of the congress. the hospital, one of
00:28:01the largest multidisciplinary scientific and clinical centers
00:28:05of the country, a support platform where advanced
00:28:08assistance protocols are developed and scaled. Artificial intelligence,
00:28:11robots, high-precision diagnostic systems, all for the sake of patients
00:28:14returning to their families, work, to normal life faster, this is what

00:30:01is immortal. This feeling will settle in the soul of every
00:30:05modern Russian person.
00:31:45What this day was remembered for in history, we will tell you right now.
00:31:48Hello. On October 13,
00:31:521768, Catherine II
00:31:55sent a decree to the Senate for approval, which determined the
00:31:59punishment for Darya Saltykova. People called her Saltychikha. This
00:32:02noblewoman was distinguished and wealthy,
00:32:06she owned mansions in Moscow, estates in various provinces,
00:32:10having become a widow at 26, she began to torture her serfs,
00:32:13she had many of them.
00:32:45It is an exceptional case that the criminal was punished,
00:32:48many landowners in Russia committed atrocities in their
00:32:52possessions and it was extremely rare to find justice against them.
00:32:55On October 13,
00:32:581924, Mecca fell,
00:33:01the capital of the kingdom of Hejaz, which was at war with
00:33:05the Sultanate of Nejd. The city, sacred to
00:33:07Muslims, was occupied by Nejd troops. Both these
00:33:11states were formed in Saudi Arabia after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. supported
00:33:21by the British, whom he helped in the fight against the Turks. Colonel
00:33:25Thomas Lawrence, the famous Lawrence of Arabia, decided to arm
00:33:29Hejaz with aviation and recruited Russian
00:33:32emigrant pilots. They repaired a dozen old
00:33:35biplanes, DH9 The Havilland, flew reconnaissance
00:33:39and bombed enemy positions. But the war
00:33:42could not be won with air strikes alone. Hussein was defeated
00:33:46and the British stopped helping him. As a result,
00:33:49a unified kingdom of Nejd
00:33:53and Hejaz emerged, which in the early 1930s became
00:33:56the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. And Russian
00:33:59pilots stayed there, creating modern aviation, and
00:34:03the Saudis highly valued their
00:34:05merits. On October 13,
00:34:091959, the Literary Gazette
00:34:12published a poem by Boris Slutsky, "Physicists and
00:34:15Lyricists." It became a symbol of the sharp public discussion
00:34:19that agitated the entire country at the time. About who
00:34:22was more important and useful: specialists in exact
00:34:25sciences or writers, poets, and artists. At
00:34:28enterprises and institutes, disputes were arranged, and they argued
00:34:32until hoarse. The Soviet Union was then undergoing a scientific and technical
00:34:35revolution; everyone talked about flights into space, the conquest
00:34:39of the atom, digital machines and robots. Films
00:34:42were made about scientists, "Nine Days of One Year," "I Am Going into a Thunderstorm," and
00:34:46it seemed that humanitarians were losing their positions and art
00:34:49was no longer needed, which Slutsky wrote about,
00:34:53"That's why physicists are honored, that's why lyricists are sidelined,
00:34:57this is self-evident, arguing is simply
00:35:00useless, so it's not even offensive, but rather
00:35:03interesting to observe how like foam
00:35:06our rhymes fall, and
00:35:09majesty steadily
00:35:12recedes into logarithms." However, already
00:35:16in the second half of the sixties, the discussion waned:
00:35:19the opposing camps embraced the simple idea that
00:35:23both physics and lyrics are needed, and human life
00:35:26will not be complete without harmony between various sides
00:35:30of knowledge. On October 13,
00:35:341987, a Pentagon press release
00:35:37announced that five bottlenose dolphins
00:35:41had been delivered to the Persian Gulf region (quote: "for reconnaissance
00:35:44and detection of various
00:35:47objects"). This is considered the first officially
00:35:50recorded case of using these intelligent marine
00:35:53animals for combat operations. At that time,
00:35:56a war was raging between Iran and Iraq. Both sides mined the Gulf, and this
00:36:00threatened commercial shipping. Approximately
00:36:03400 transports, including American ones, were blown up or
00:36:06damaged. The dolphins were trained to find underwater
00:36:10mines, mostly Iranian, round with spikes. The details
00:36:14were concealed by the Americans, but it is known that one dolphin
00:36:17died. The program for the military use of dolphins, as well as
00:36:21sea lions, was carried out by the USA since the early
00:36:23sixties. They were also taught to find enemy divers,
00:36:27patrol waters, and find sunken ships
00:36:31on the seabed. A similar program was in
00:36:34the Soviet Union in the mid- seventies; combat
00:36:37dolphins became part of the Black Sea
00:36:39Fleet.
00:36:41This was this day in history. I wish
00:36:45my country wealth and prosperity. We need access to the
00:41:25Committee of the Russian Federation. You are involved in a case of
00:41:29complicity in preparing a terrorist act.
00:41:32The situation is serious, not a word to anyone. Real
00:41:35special service employees will never contact you
00:41:39virtually.
00:42:55Ceramics master Andrei Savetsky transforms shapeless
00:42:59pieces of clay into various products in a matter of minutes.
00:43:02The product is made not from clay, but in conjunction
00:43:05with clay. That is, there must be a dance where you don't step on your partner's
00:43:10feet, you understand.
00:43:13Here you need to feel each other. If you
00:43:16do it,
00:43:19and the clay likes it, it will return the
00:43:22favor, you understand.
00:43:25Andrei jokingly calls himself an artist by nature. Once he
00:43:28set himself the task of recreating the technique of creating a special
00:43:32type of architectural ceramic, izraztsy (tiles). An accurate
00:43:35reconstruction of something that didn't exist. We don't know how it was. We only have
00:43:38this... ready result, for which the remaining techniques
00:43:42from pottery were used, and
00:43:46we are trying to revive, uh, this
00:43:49result, having fantasized a little.
00:43:52Perhaps these are the main principles of restoration work: a creative
00:43:55approach, unlimited powers of imagination with an emphasis on
00:43:58skill, which help to bring back
00:44:01forgotten techniques. We
00:44:04got an izrazets,
00:44:07so this is a tile.
00:44:10This surface, I don't remember what it's called scientifically.
00:44:13We met Andrey and other restorers at
00:44:17the fifth Moscow International Exhibition dedicated to
00:44:20the preservation of cultural heritage. And
00:44:24how to save all the best that our
00:44:27generation has done? Perhaps this is one of the main questions that contemporaries
00:44:30should ask themselves, because otherwise our descendants will have to
00:44:34restore methodologies,
00:44:36technologies, processes, which is essentially what
00:44:40modern restorers are doing. They save and restore
00:44:43what may have been lost or forgotten many centuries ago.
00:44:47So, the industry event about restoration brought together
00:44:51the best specialists who are right here, right now, standing on
00:44:54guard for nothing less than historical
00:44:57justice.
00:44:59The language of rare techniques and talents is what restorers pass on to
00:45:02each other, from masters to apprentices. Meeting at this
00:45:05venue is a special occasion for every
00:45:08participant. There is such an interaction of generations from the young
00:45:12generation to our most experienced
00:45:16professionals, who immediately pass on their skills
00:45:19and abilities to the guys. You know, restorers don't really like to share their
00:45:23secrets, do they, right?
00:45:26But if it's needed here, and it is needed here,
00:45:30in this regard, this exhibition is an opening
00:45:33of the restorers' souls, because they, each at their own
00:45:37stand, truly share their unique...
00:45:42Bogdan Lavrinenko, a hereditary artist who gained wide
00:45:45fame among mosaic restorers, reveals one of the secrets. Before you
00:45:49is a glass
00:45:52quartzite panel. This is a very rare technique that Zurab Tsereteli
00:45:56invented in the seventies of the 20th century with his team.
00:45:59This is neither a mosaic nor a painting, and it's kind of
00:46:03neither enamel; it's something in between all of that. Glass
00:46:07quartzite is a multi-component,
00:46:11baked panel. Like
00:46:13any craftsmanship, the techniques of the best specialists are honed in
00:46:16competition. Students from different educational institutions across the country came here
00:46:20to compete to see who is the best in
00:46:23restoration. Competence curators prepare
00:46:26tasks for them throughout the year. These tasks correspond to the best
00:46:30examples of sectoral restoration activities. This is,
00:46:34of course, some fragments of activity, well, that is,
00:46:37conditionally, for example, this year restorers.
00:46:52The preservation of heritage for Moscow is a special mission, which is why
00:46:56the city takes a comprehensive approach to solving restoration
00:46:58tasks. The most important thing is, of course, personnel.
00:47:02Today's restoration is a whole spectrum
00:47:05of activities, so in Moscow alone there are
00:47:08more than 10 educational institutions, both
00:47:12higher and secondary specialized
00:47:15education, training specialists. This is the Russian
00:47:18Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, this is Moscow State
00:47:23University of Civil Engineering, if we are talking
00:47:26about higher educational institutions,
00:47:29if about secondary specialized, then this is our College No. 26
00:47:33(kadrs). College No. 26 (kadrs), a special place
00:47:37where the best traditions and practices are passed on. Graduates of this educational
00:47:40institution are highly valued. I really wanted
00:47:43a creative profession, but at the same time I was very interested in architecture,
00:47:47so I was looking for how to combine these two professions. Then I came across
00:47:51the name re-engineering. This interested me, I delved deeper and
00:47:54found College No. 6 (kadrs). It is simply among the top five best colleges,
00:47:58so I decided to enroll there. For young
00:48:02specialists and not only, the Heritage Forum is held in Moscow. Its
00:48:05main goal is to disseminate knowledge about the preservation of cultural heritage and
00:48:09the integration of historical monuments into the life of modern
00:48:12cities. At the forum we have quite a large spectrum
00:48:16of students from different universities. And it's very
00:48:18good that we have a new direction for landscape designers,
00:48:22because, as it was presented, the object
00:48:25has an area that will need to be worked on.
00:48:29Thanks to a comprehensive approach, over the past 15 years, more than 2,500
00:48:33cultural heritage sites have been put in order in the city,
00:48:36and restorers are usually faced with the most complex
00:48:39tasks, for example, to bring the Ostankino estate
00:48:43into historical compliance. The Italian pavilion recently opened there. During
00:48:46the coronation celebrations, Alexander
00:48:50II stayed there.
00:49:23interior finishing techniques, including wallpaper. Wallpaper is generally uniquely
00:49:26preserved in Russia,
00:49:30authentic 16th-century wallpaper, produced in France, partially
00:49:34produced in England, I believe, in Russia, and
00:49:37executed in decoupage technique, meaning these are wallpapers cut out
00:49:41and glued
00:49:44together into unique compositions. That is, these are
00:49:48compositions found only in the Ostankino
00:49:50Estate. The large-scale restoration of Count
00:49:54Sheremetev's palace continues. We have begun
00:49:58the restoration of the central core, the theater
00:50:02palace itself. I hope that in the next
00:50:052 years this unique, painstaking
00:50:08work will be completed. I would like to thank everyone
00:50:12who cares about
00:50:14the revival of this unique place. Sheremetev
00:50:18demonstrated enlightened taste, with which his masterpiece is still being restored today.
00:50:23Nikolay Petrovich Sheremetev would have been delighted
00:50:26with the love and tact
00:50:29with which one of his beloved
00:50:33creations is being recreated. Moscow recently, it
00:50:36is truly an example of how
00:50:40respectfully one should treat the
00:50:42monuments that we received from those
00:50:46who lived and worked, created for
00:50:49us. In restoration, small details
00:50:52matter, or rather, all grandeur rests precisely on these
00:50:55small details, and Moscow fully provides its masters with everything
00:50:59necessary. Today the restoration industry of Moscow
00:51:03is fully supplied with all
00:51:06restoration materials,
00:51:08domestic
00:51:10materials are used in Moscow's cultural heritage sites
00:51:14in the widest possible range, from
00:51:17facade work to interior work,
00:51:20for example, if it concerns.
00:51:30window and door fillings, both restoration and
00:51:33manufacturing, this is ceramic tiles
00:51:37and much, much more.
00:51:40For example, these restorers have been working on lighting fixtures for over
00:51:4330 years. Their projects include the Bolshoi Theater, GUM,
00:51:47and the Historical Museum. Now they are participating in the grandiose
00:51:50reconstruction of VDNKh.
00:51:52We are now next to one of the decorative
00:51:56elements of
00:51:58the Golden Ear pavilion. These are recreated grilles,
00:52:02recreated from not very good
00:52:06surviving photographs. A lot of
00:52:09literature was studied in order to decide on
00:52:13a specific decor.
00:52:15In addition, in the Golden Ear pavilion, we are
00:52:18recreating lighting fixtures,
00:52:21large ones. Among them are six chandeliers with cobalt
00:52:25glass, many sconces, many lamps.
00:52:29Many elements have to be recreated literally from
00:52:32scratch. Of course,
00:52:35the mold undergoes a technological
00:52:38cycle. You cannot pour metal into a cold
00:52:42mold, it will crack. In the technological
00:52:45chain, there are a number of specific steps,
00:52:49such as annealing furnaces and so
00:52:51on. So, I would like to demonstrate what
00:52:55happens after pouring
00:52:58metal into this
00:53:00mold.
00:53:03You can see how different the tasks are for restorers by looking at the example
00:53:06of the historical buildings of the former Borets compressor plant.
00:53:09Here, a modern public space will be created, while
00:53:13trying to preserve the spirit of the late 19th century. For this,
00:53:16the building had to be moved. We carried out
00:53:19the relocation of three historical objects: a
00:53:22water tower, a model workshop,
00:53:26and an assembly shop. Then we had the idea
00:53:29of creating a cool public and business project
00:53:33where we would incorporate and combine
00:53:37history with modernity. At that time,
00:53:40we held several architectural competitions, and we really
00:53:43liked one of the concepts.
00:53:47Until 1917, they produced steam engines,
00:53:50pumps, steam coal-lifting machines here. During
00:53:54the Great Patriotic War, they cast ammunition and produced
00:53:57compressors for the needs of the Navy. These walls remember
00:54:01a lot. Here we can see two...
00:54:35Above them, or rather, behind them, are the historical buildings of the Badaevsky
00:54:38brewery, which are being restored.
00:54:41The historical buildings are the heart of the Badaevsky
00:54:45complex. The authors of the project, and indeed
00:54:48the developer, viewed the historical buildings as an advantage
00:54:51of the area. And partly, the idea
00:54:54of raising the new construction on thirty-five-meter columns
00:54:58was dictated by the desire to preserve the view of those very historical
00:55:02buildings of the former brewery. The restoration
00:55:05covers more than 35,000
00:55:08square meters. The most difficult in terms of
00:55:11restoration and adaptation is building
00:55:14three. This is a large building, more than
00:55:1715,000 square meters, eight
00:55:20stories high, and there simultaneously restoration,
00:55:23structural, and engineering
00:55:26works are underway. In Moscow, in recent years, restoration
00:55:30has ceased to be just working with the past. Today, it is also
00:55:33an exact science and high art, a bold
00:55:36engineering challenge that preserves the city's
00:55:39historical appearance.
00:56:54Everyone understands that Russia is not a gas station country.
00:56:57Russian digital solutions are reaching new
00:57:01heights. There are prospects, even more brutal ones.
00:57:05More brutal, there will be more.
00:57:08How exactly does digital technology help? You are incomparably original in your
00:57:12questions, and what about production,
00:57:16raw materials, and...
