00:01:53complex launched by the National Petroleum Company of Congo (SNPC) as part of its
00:01:56social responsibility. Through this
00:01:59work, the SNPC has indicated its general
00:02:02director continues its support for public
00:02:05policies with a high social impact, with a capacity
00:02:08of 10,000 students, the free Angola
00:02:12school complex, endowed with several components, is part of this
00:02:15approach. These educational jewels, these four
00:02:19hectares of hope at heart,
00:02:23is the capacity to accommodate 1000
00:02:26students, 10,000 stories that
00:02:29will be written here with dignity, mission, and
00:02:32excellence,
00:02:35a preschool, a primary school, a
00:02:38college, a high school, a whole
00:02:41school trajectory united in one and the same
00:02:44place,
00:02:46revival of the large gas projects of 100 classrooms, a scientific
00:02:49laboratory,
00:02:52for teachers, three administrative buildings,
00:02:55five water towers and a complete sports area that can
00:03:00become young again. That we are accommodate football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, judo,
00:03:04without forgetting a police
00:03:07station to ensure the safety of students and staff. Such
00:03:11an achievement would not be possible without peace, added Mexan
00:03:14Ominga. Although obvious, it deserves to be maintained
00:03:17and consolidated to facilitate national edification, he
00:03:21urged.
00:03:24The free Angola school complex is now positioned as a pole
00:03:27of pedagogical excellence in the wake of infrastructure of its kind
00:03:31previously built, congratulated
00:03:33the prospect of the the Minister of Preschool, Primary, Secondary Education and
00:03:37Literacy. Valuing the school as
00:03:40an institution, Jean-Luc Moutou considers these efforts to improve the
00:03:43learning conditions of students as a strong message
00:03:46of hope. The free Angola school complex, which
00:03:50must continue to build destinies, according to him, reinforces
00:03:53public authorities in their vision of always making education
00:03:58From the airport, the Mozambican the first strategic wealth of Congo. Hence this desire to
00:04:02Affairs, Francophonie, and Congolese Abroad, remove some obstacles, this local school complex, Angola Libre,
00:04:04represents a major asset for the benefit of the
00:04:08populations of the localities of Kinsundi,
00:04:10Ganguoni, Château d'Eau and the surrounding areas in that it
00:04:14allows our children to no longer travel long
00:04:18distances with all the induced hassle that
00:04:21this entails for them. From now on,
00:04:25proximity regains all its rights. It
00:04:29allows
00:04:31Africa, particularly the to alleviate the burden on the two public high schools of
00:04:34Mukuzingwaka and Savorgnan de Brazza, which with difficulty accommodate
00:04:37all the increasingly numerous children in this district.
00:04:40Today, with the inauguration of
00:04:43this high school, the aim will be to bring the school closer to
00:04:47the home of each learner, to significantly
00:04:50reduce the bloated numbers that sometimes hindered
00:04:53better learning in this high school and to create a
00:04:57safe environment for all our children to
00:05:00flourish fully. In addition to the speeches, the inauguration
00:05:03ceremony of the free Angola school complex was
00:05:07also marked by the ritual of consecration of the premises by the holders of
00:05:10traditional power.
00:05:18After the head of state proceeded to plant a tree within
00:05:21the establishment, a testament to his visit,
00:05:25a reaffirmation of his commitment to afforestation and
00:05:28reforestation. Last but not least, the guided tour of the
00:05:32free Angola school complex, for more than
00:05:37the Republic appreciated the quality of the work through its different
00:05:41components, the classrooms, the sports areas and the
00:05:44teachers' accommodations. From this guided tour, Denis Sasungeso left
00:05:47proud to have once again offered the republic
00:05:51a gift and a perspective.
00:05:54perspective.
00:05:58The first district Makele-Kelat, known for its
00:06:01legendary hospitality, displayed on Friday, October 9,
00:06:042026, banners praising the merits of the government's
00:06:08project, accelerating the progress and displaying in fervor
00:06:13the event, loyalty and support for the President of the
00:06:16Republic, Denis Satongeso, for his
00:06:19grandiose works. He therefore prepared to
00:06:23give an unprecedented state, a day
00:06:27awaited with impatience by the populations who wanted,
00:06:31through this popular mobilization, to show their
00:06:33adherence to the efforts to modernize the country in
00:06:36general and Makelelé in
00:06:38particular. They came to express and witness
00:06:42their pride and joy to Denis Sasungesso the
00:06:46construction of this ultra-modern school complex.
00:06:48As a result, the President of the Republic
00:06:52in an open-top car was carried in triumph by the
00:06:55Brazzavillians eager
00:06:59state. On this occasion, despite the rain,
00:07:02he covered the distance separating the free Angola
00:07:06school complex from the roundabout of the French Institute of Congo, lined on both
00:07:10sides by a euphoric crowd.
00:07:16The populations are witnesses to the fervor that
00:07:19drives them. I see that the President of the Republic
00:07:23is taking an act of historical significance. We don't see anywhere
00:07:25else that a head of state can take a strong initiative to
00:07:29transform schools, because without them our children
00:07:33will be nothing. We must support the head of state
00:07:36for his idea and we must send children to school.
00:07:40In any case, all children to school, I can say for
00:07:43parents and children, I really appreciated it, it became
00:07:46beautiful, I want to advise them not to
00:07:49spoil the environment, to keep it
00:07:52clean,
00:07:54not to come and enroll students here because it was dirty, the toilets
00:07:58were today,
00:08:02we accept the initiative,
00:08:05President of the Republic, we are very happy to see this
00:08:09school
00:08:13moving forward, as he himself said, together let's move forward,
00:08:16huh?
00:08:24The President of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo,
00:08:28began this October 10, 2026, a 48-hour
00:08:31official visit to the Republic of Congo.
00:08:34Welcomed upon his arrival by his Congolese counterpart,
00:08:37Denis Sasungeso, Daniel Chapo, accompanied by the
00:08:41First Lady, Guetta. Seleman Chapo comes to consolidate
00:08:44the historic diplomatic axis between Maputo and
00:08:48Brazzaville. In Mayamaya, the host of Denis
00:08:51Sasungeso is received with honor, punctuated by
00:08:54the playing of national anthems, followed by military honors.
00:09:25This trip by the Mozambican president to Brazzaville marks a
00:09:29turning point to revitalize relations between the two countries.
00:09:33The historical alliance between Brazzaville and Maputo
00:09:36is based on solid ties. Congo actively
00:09:39supported liberation movements in southern
00:09:44FRELIMO, under the direction of historical figures like Marien
00:09:48Ngouabi, whose memory remains honored in Mozambique,
00:09:51and Samora Moises Machel. The friendship between
00:09:55Presidents Denis Sasungeso and Daniel Chapo will be further
00:09:58consolidated during the exchanges that the two heads of state will have at
00:10:02the People's Palace to transform this political fraternity into
00:10:06a lever for growth and mutual economic
00:10:08independence. In Brazzaville, President Daniel Chapo's agenda
00:10:12will focus on economic exchanges. After Brazzaville,
00:10:16the Mozambican head of state will go to Pointe Noire to identify new
00:10:20corridors, stimulate public-private partnerships, and intensify
00:10:24bilateral
00:10:27energy, culture, and social development. The
00:10:31last visit of President Denis Sasungeso to Maputo
00:10:35dates back to September
00:10:362011.
00:10:39Before meeting with President Denis Sasungesso, Mozambican head of
00:10:43state Daniel Chapo visited the Marien Ngouabi mausoleum
00:10:47where he laid a wreath of flowers. This moment of
00:10:52the friendship between the Congolese Party of Labor and the Front for the
00:10:56Liberation of Mozambique, a deep alliance forged
00:11:00in the wake of decolonization and the African revolutionary
00:11:03struggles embodied in Congo by Marien Ngouabi
00:11:06and in Mozambique by Samora Moises Machel.
00:11:20PCT and Frelimo shared the same ideological
00:11:23orientation. Progressive Africa, it is important
00:11:27to remember that under the impetus of President Marien Ngouabi, Congo
00:11:31became an essential diplomatic, financial, and
00:11:34logistical rear base for the liberation movements in southern
00:11:38Africa, including Frelimo. The two parties fought
00:11:42together on two main
00:11:44southern Africa from colonial and segregationist regimes
00:11:47and the independence of Portuguese
00:11:50colonies, Angola with MPLA and
00:11:54Mozambique with Frelimo. At the end of the Cold War and the fall
00:11:58of the Soviet bloc, the PCT and Frelimo underwent an almost
00:12:01identical doctrinal evolution. The friendship did not
00:12:05stop at the end of the armed struggle. This solid
00:12:08political alliance also serves as the foundation for
00:12:11warming bilateral relations between Congo and
00:12:15Mozambique.
00:12:18At the People's Palace, Denis Sungeso meets Daniel
00:12:22Chapo two years after their meeting in Oyo in the basin
00:12:25north of Congo, while the current Mozambican president was
00:12:29preparing to run for the supreme magistracy in his country.
00:12:32As General Secretary of Frelimo, the Liberation Front of
00:12:36Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo worked to
00:12:39strengthen the historic ties that exist between his country and the city of
00:12:43Congo. This Wednesday, October 6, 2026, the
00:12:47President of the Republic, Denis Sasungesso, therefore receives a distinguished
00:12:50guest, a counterpart, for high-level exchanges that
00:12:54illustrate the constant nature of bilateral relations between the two
00:12:57countries, relations marked by mutual support, similar to
00:13:01that which Congo provided to Mozambique in its struggle for
00:13:04independence in 1975.
00:13:07Elected president in October 2024, and in January
00:13:102025, Daniel Francisco Chapo thus continues
00:13:14this dynamic of consolidating relations of friendship,
00:13:17solidarity, and cooperation between his country and Congo, around
00:13:21issues of common interest, a stance that matches that of
00:13:25Denis Aso, whose vision focused on peace and the integral
00:13:28development of Africa remains relevant. The aim is to
00:13:32maintain excellent relations between Congo and
00:13:35Mozambique through the implementation of sectoral agreements
00:13:39that underpin these relations, an example being the first grand
00:13:42cooperation commission which is being held in Brazzaville while the
00:13:46Mozambican President Daniel Francisco Chapo is visiting Congolese
00:13:49soil. A 48-hour stay that will take him this
00:13:52Wednesday to Pointe Noire, the economic capital of Congo where he will
00:13:56visit some energy and port
00:14:00infrastructures. Arrived this Wednesday morning in
00:14:04Pointe Noire for a few hours of his official
00:14:07visit to the Republic of Congo, the President of
00:14:10Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo, was
00:14:14welcomed by the prefect of the department, Pierre Sebert
00:14:17Iboko Aunanga, and other local authorities.
00:14:23head of state was sent
00:14:25by helicopter to discover the national
00:14:28energy production units, particularly the
00:14:31Litendili gas plant and the
00:14:34Congo Electric power plant located in
00:14:37Cortematève in the 6th arrondissement of Ngoyo in
00:14:41Pointe Noire. The first stage of this visit took
00:14:44him to the gas plant, where he was received
00:14:48by the managers and agents of the Ethique Congo company.
00:14:52On this site, President Daniel Francisco
00:14:55Chapo, accompanied by the Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs,
00:14:59Jean-Claude Gakosso, learned about the gas
00:15:02treatment process for energy production. Continuing
00:15:06his tour, the Mozambican head of state visited the
00:15:10Congo Electric power plant, the result of a public-private
00:15:13partnership between the Congolese state and the
00:15:16Eni company. He was given a real
00:15:20immersion into the heart of an infrastructure that stands
00:15:23as a pillar of the country's energy
00:15:26future. The second stage of this guided
00:15:30tour, punctuated by explanations on the
00:15:33facilities and equipment of the CSE, allowed him
00:15:36to have a precise understanding of the operation of this plant
00:15:40which supplies 70% of the national electricity
00:15:43supply. Commissioned in 2010, the Congo Electric
00:15:47power plant has an installed capacity of
00:15:51484 megawatts generated by three
00:15:54turbines operating in an open cycle. It
00:15:57constitutes the main source of energy and an
00:16:01essential link in the energy boulevard advocated by President
00:16:04Denis Sasungesu, noting that a gift was given
00:16:08to President Daniel Francisco Chapo at the end of this
00:16:11visit, which paves the way for strengthening economic
00:16:15exchanges between Congo and Mozambique.
00:16:17Mozambique.
00:16:22the Promotion of the Private Sector, Michel Ndombo, the
00:16:26President of Unicongo, Dieudonné Dinga Mukala, briefly
00:16:29presented the main outlines of the Congolese industrial fabric and
00:16:33the expectations of the private sector vis-à-vis Mozambique,
00:16:37notably, highlighting a private sector present in several
00:16:40areas: industry, extractive activities, agro
00:16:43industry, transport, logistics and services, with
00:16:47a major challenge to strengthen local transformation and
00:16:50increase the added value produced in Congo in terms of
00:16:54training and transfer of time, Unicongo proposes
00:16:57to launch exchange programs for engineers,
00:17:01technicians and young apprentices between training
00:17:04centers in Pointe Noire and Mozambique. To
00:17:08concretize these ambitions, a business
00:17:10mission of Congolese companies to Mozambique, or vice versa,
00:17:14will allow identifying bankable projects, removing regulatory
00:17:17barriers and facilitating cross-
00:17:20investments. Your Excellency, Mr.
00:17:24President, your visit to Pointe Noire
00:17:27breathes new impetus into South-South
00:17:31cooperation within our continent. It
00:17:34proves that African companies have the capacity,
00:17:38know-how, and will to
00:17:41invest in each other to build
00:17:45the industrial Africa of tomorrow. In the context of relations with
00:17:48Mozambique, Dieudonné Ndinga Mokala called for prioritizing a concrete
00:17:52economy based on investments, commercial
00:17:55exchanges, industrial partnerships, and the transfer of
00:17:59skills and technologies. Speaking
00:18:02for the Mozambican President Daniel Chapo, he defended
00:18:06a new vision for his country: no longer limited to the exploitation
00:18:10of natural resources, but to make it a real engine
00:18:13of industrialization and development of all national
00:18:16entrepreneurship. According to Daniel Chapo, this
00:18:20vision is based notably on the
00:18:24the Rovuma basin and the development of
00:18:27natural gas. For the Congolese private sector, he said,
00:18:31this orientation opens up prospects for direct
00:18:34cooperation with Mozambican companies.
00:18:39to grow the private sector, that's why we arrived in Pointe Noire
00:18:42today with a very clear objective: to know,
00:18:46to learn, and to create partnerships with you among
00:18:49ourselves. After the interventions of the private sector representatives,
00:18:53it was time for exchanges with President Daniel,
00:18:56a sequence dedicated to direct
00:18:59dialogue during which the various actors were able to
00:19:02express their concerns, formulate their
00:19:06expectations, and share their proposals. Immediately after,
00:19:09the Mozambican president visited the autonomous port of Pointe Noire and
00:19:13signed the guestbook, a way for Daniel Chapo
00:19:17to immortalize his visit to the port of Pointe Noire. It was at
00:19:215 p.m. that the Mozambican head of state left the economic
00:19:24capital to reach Brazzaville.
00:19:26Brasaville.
00:19:29In total, a dozen legal instruments were initialed on Wednesday, October
00:19:327, at the People's Palace, primarily by Constance Serge
00:19:36Na, Congolese Minister of Foreign
00:19:39Sasun Ngesso, Minister of International Cooperation
00:19:43and Public-Private Partnership on the Congolese side, and Manuela de
00:19:46Santos Lucas, Minister of
00:19:50Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Mozambique. These are
00:19:54agreements covering various fields, notably the general cooperation
00:19:57agreement, the agreement relating to regular political consultations,
00:20:01the agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic and service
00:20:05passports, the memorandum of understanding in the maritime domain, the cooperation
00:20:09agreement relating to higher education, the cooperation
00:20:12agreement in the field of forest resource protection, as well as
00:20:16the agreement relating to hydrocarbons. These
00:20:19multiple agreements, which are an important lever in strengthening the relations
00:20:22of friendship and fraternity that exist between the two countries,
00:20:26result from the intense work carried out by the parties during the
00:20:30work of the first session of the grand joint commission of cooperation between the Republic of
00:20:33Congo and the Republic of Mozambique. They further
00:20:37strengthen the legal framework of this cooperation, thus marking
00:20:40a decisive stage in bilateral relations that had remained
00:20:43stagnant for 33 years, a stagnation that the two
00:20:47heads of state have repeatedly deplored and have decided to
00:20:50implement the signed agreements to achieve the
00:20:53expected benefits for their respective
00:20:57improving their daily lives. For Denis
00:20:59Sasou, a step forward has been taken and these
00:21:02legal instruments must not remain a dead letter. Today
00:21:06with the visit of the president and the
00:21:10signing of about ten cooperation
00:21:13agreements, we have taken another
00:21:16step forward, as the president said.
00:21:50Congolese counterpart, a joint communiqué was released, a communiqué
00:21:54in which President Danielo praised the multifaceted
00:21:57support provided by the Republic of Congo since the time of the national
00:22:00liberation struggle of the Republic of Mozambique. At the same time,
00:22:04Mozambique praised the personal commitment and constant efforts of President
00:22:07Denis Sasungeso in the search for lasting solutions to crises
00:22:11on the continent, particularly his role as
00:22:14chairman of the African Union's High-Level Committee on Libya. The
00:22:18two heads of state conducted
00:22:20a broad exchange of views on bilateral, regional,
00:22:24and international issues. They

00:22:32between the two countries, and pledged to further
00:22:36consolidate them for the benefit of the Congolese and
00:22:40Mozambican peoples. The two heads of state welcomed
00:22:43the holding of the first session of the grand
00:22:46mixed commission of cooperation
00:22:50between the two countries on October 5 and 6,
00:22:542026, in Brazzaville.
00:22:56His Excellency, Mr. Daniel Francisco Chapo,
00:23:00welcomed the multifaceted support provided by the
00:23:03Republic of Congo since the time of the national liberation
00:23:07struggle of the Republic of Mozambique. His
00:23:10Excellency, Mr. Daniel Francisco Chapo, welcomed
00:23:14the personal commitment and constant efforts of His
00:23:17Excellency, Mr. Denis
00:23:20Guesso, President of the Republic of Congo, in the search for
00:23:24lasting solutions to crises on the continent,
00:23:27particularly his role as
00:23:30chairman of the African Union's High-Level Committee on
00:23:33Libya. His Excellency, Mr. Denis
00:23:36Sasungeso, congratulated His Excellency, Mr. Daniel Francisco
00:23:40Chapo, for the consolidation of democracy
00:23:43and for the efforts in favor of cohesion,
00:23:47peace, and inclusive political dialogue
00:23:50ongoing in his country. The two heads of state
00:23:53expressed their deep concern regarding the recurrent
00:23:57attacks by terrorist groups which cause
00:24:01serious security and humanitarian crises in northern
00:24:04Mozambique and in other regions of the
00:24:07continent.
00:24:10They reiterated their support for all regional
00:24:14initiatives to combat terrorism and violent
00:24:17extremism. The two
00:24:20heads of state welcomed
00:24:23opening of a Mozambican consular post in the
00:24:27Republic of Congo to further strengthen
00:24:31the multifaceted relations between the two
00:24:32countries.
00:24:36Congo and Mozambique are now charting a new paradigm for
00:24:40their relations in a
