00:01:42take time to reach a consensus. I can certainly understand the
00:01:46American people are may be looking at this and they say, well, it seems like we're making
00:01:50progress and it seems like we're not. Well, the reality, Laura is that number one, the
00:01:54Iranians are extraordinarily difficult people. Number two,
00:01:58they have a
00:01:58of fractured system, so there are... people within their system who want the war to be
00:02:02over, there are also people within their system who are crazy radicals who want the war to

00:04:23guide and offensive weapons, but now the president pushing back on this
00:04:27today, but still in kind of that
00:04:28of mixed message mode, he said we have an unlimited supply of
00:04:32some, we always need more, others are a little light, which
00:04:36is kind of taset admission of this, but just few days ago he
00:04:40said, and i'll quote, we have far more munitions than anyone in the
00:04:43world, far more than we need, so we've also had the
00:04:46of Pentagon spokesperson, we've had Pete Hegseth, the secretary defense pushing
00:04:50back on this, criticizing
00:04:52a report that 80% of US precision guided munitions
00:04:56have been depleted, have been used up
00:04:58of since this uh,
00:04:59the US launched this war uh on Iran and
00:05:03of it's it's CSIS is uh report that says it would take at
00:05:07least three years to replenish some
00:05:10of these weapons and these these tad. and these patriot
00:05:13missiles cost about four and a half million dollar each, take months,
00:05:17even years uh to make, and then the offensive weapons, there's two
00:05:21them in particular, particular, the precision strike missiles, the army
00:05:25tactical missile systems, those cost about million dollar each, so it
00:05:29costs money, it takes time, which is the reason why they've asked Congress for a
00:05:33$1. trillion dollar budget uh for their upcoming year,
00:05:36but look, the US, it's it's a unpopular
00:05:39war, that much money to... invest
00:05:43into munitions that are low, also very unpopular in the US,
00:05:47and and so this is very difficult place for this Trump
00:05:50administration, but they are pushing back hard on this narrative that they
00:05:54are that low on munitions, back to you. All right, for the moment, Craig Boswell, life for us

00:06:02to reopen the straight of Homus is in its final stages, after
00:06:06confirming the two sides have agreed a shipping route.
00:06:09Tehran also says the US would still have to lift its bloccade of
00:06:13Iranian ports for unrestricted shipping to resume.
00:06:16Oman, which shares control the straight of Homus, and acts as mediator
00:06:20between Tehran and Washington has yet to publicly confirm the
00:06:23deal. What would this proposed
00:06:27Iran orman framework mean for ships passing through the straight? Well, let's
00:06:31look at the key points. Under this proposal, Iran would manage vessels
00:06:35entering the straight of Homus, using the northern shipping lane
00:06:38near its coastline, and that...
00:06:42Tehran will gain greater control over ships entering the
00:06:46gulf, an outbound traffic would be handled jointly by
00:06:49Iran and Oman, ships would exit through the southern shipping lane
00:06:53near Oman's coast while Tehran will be able to intervene
