00:00:10A missile hits the main airport in Saudi Arabia's capital, killing at
00:00:14least 12 and injuring hundreds, the Antharala hooties are
00:00:18of being blamed. Donald Trump is deciding if the US
00:00:21should now get involved. Hello
00:00:24of and welcome to TRT World, live from Istanbul, I'm Yashni
00:00:28of Padiachi, also coming up. Time for Voladimir Zelensky
00:00:31of to go. The US president
00:00:33of calls for leadership change in Ukraine. He's angered at being
00:00:37called weak for doing deal to get diesel from
00:00:39Russia. Hundreds of thousands in Gaza
00:00:43bracing for a harsh winter in makeshift tents with Israel
00:00:47allowing in just 17% of shelters
00:00:50needed. And thousands of
00:00:53of arrests hasn't deterred them. Protesters are heading back out
00:00:57in New Delhi. These are live pictures from. the Indian capital where
00:01:01protesters say they won't give up
00:01:04in until in the election commissioner steps

00:01:22of Saudi of Arabia is shutting down schools in the capital as it
00:01:25decides how to respond to a missile attack its main
00:01:29airport. 12 people were killed and more than 300 injured
00:01:34of in a strike that threatens to further inflame
00:01:35a region already on edge over the US war on
00:01:39Iran. domestic terminals at King Khalid international
00:01:42airport were hit with Saudi Arabia laying the blame on
00:01:46the ansarala Hutis from neighboring Yemen. They've been launching
00:01:50of attacks on Riyad and Saudi oil facilities in recent
00:01:54weeks, but haven't claimed
00:01:56of responsibility for this strike. Pakistan's Prime Minister. Abbas
00:02:00Shariff would join Turkey in signing the Mecca defense pact in
00:02:04August is calling it heinous attack and
00:02:07reiterating his commitment to Saudi's security.
00:02:11Donald Trump is weighing up a US
00:02:13of response. I think it's
00:02:16terrible. Well you're going to find out see,
00:02:20but I think it's
00:02:21of terrible.
00:02:25Well, they're able to defend. Look, the Saudis are good fighters, but I think...
00:02:30the attack was terrible thing. Meanwhile, in Yemen,
00:02:34fighting between Saudi back government forces and the
00:02:37a Houtis continues. Yemen's army
00:02:41of of says it struck more than 1900 huti targets. Muhammad Al-Attab reports from the
00:02:44Capital Sana. The conflict in Yemen is
00:02:48widening with both sides expanding their bank of targets and
00:02:52civilians paying the price. The Yemany Armed forces announced over
00:02:551,900 strikes across various fronts in 24
00:02:59hours under. operation Yeman's done, spokesperson colonel
00:03:02Majid Anuzeli said the strikes hit weapons depart a
00:03:06camps command
00:03:07of center, reinforcements and supply vehicles, neutralizing more than
00:03:12of 1,150 huti fighters and destroying or
00:03:15damaging over 180 vehicles, he also
00:03:18of mentioned that ground forces advance further and retaking
00:03:22positions. hothy media reported coalition strikes on
00:03:26Sanha, airports and telecommunication towers in Saada plus strikes.
00:03:32said their forces target reinforcements from Aden along the
00:03:36southern coastal road inflicting heavy losses on IRG's
00:03:40forces. According to the group. Later on on
00:03:44the also distributed
00:03:46of footage of Draw strikes on what they described as Saudi gatherings
00:03:49of in Kahbob and Alwaziya. The internationally recognized
00:03:53government confirmed losses inflected on hoti fighters in
00:03:57almaset and said it took control.
00:04:03the southern giant brigades said the repelled hothi
00:04:07of attack north of dubab airport with arab coalition air
00:04:10support, the houthies did not confirm or deny the news
00:04:14as clashes intensify toward mandab hotspot
00:04:18navigation or ignite
00:04:19of a of wider war. after 12 years of relentless
00:04:23conflict,
00:04:24of yemanis continue to bear its brands
00:04:28and comeron Yus with more on Pakistan's
00:04:31reaction. Pakistani prime minister Shahbas
00:04:35Sharief took no time in condemning this latest strike and
00:04:39in fact prime minister blamed the hoothi
00:04:41of militia for this latest attack, not only Pakistani prime
00:04:45minister issued a statement, the foreign office
00:04:48also
00:04:49of issued detailed statement where they not only denounced
00:04:53this attack, but rather termed it as a terrorist attack and
00:04:57urged international community that they should...
00:05:00unequivocally condemn this heinous
00:05:03act, at the same time, the Pakistani side is saying that they
00:05:07stand shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia
00:05:11and they will... support every measure the Saudi
00:05:14government is taking to protect it territorial
00:05:18integrity and sovereignty also Pakistan reaterated
00:05:22its support for Saudi Arabia under the Makka defense
00:05:26pact that was signed in August between Pakistan,
00:05:29Saudi Arabia and Turkey, remember last week
00:05:33Pakistan also officially confirmed that they have
00:05:37deployed additional troops to Saudi Arabia as part the Makka
00:05:41defense alliance. However, Pakistani side also made
00:05:45it clear that the Pakistani forces under the Makka Defense
00:05:49Accord will not cross into Yaman and launch attacks
00:05:53against the Hutis. Nevertheless they made it clear
00:05:57that as far as the Saudi territorial integrity and sovereignty
00:06:01is concerned, Pakistan will go all out and
00:06:04provide all possible support to the Saudi
00:06:08kingdom. William Lawrence is a former
00:06:11US. diplomat and says it's looking more likely the US will get
00:06:15involved in this conflict, there's offensive
00:06:19aspects and defensive aspects on the offensive side, the
00:06:22hooties have started to figure out
00:06:26building on successes that the Iranians have had and the Russians
00:06:30have had using similar technology, they figured out how to
00:06:34evade the defenses and on the Saudi
00:06:36side um there is issue
00:06:39of very expensive weaponry that's to defend
00:06:43and depletion of this the
00:06:47weaponry that's available and so they may not be deploying the
00:06:51maximum number of very expensive weaponry to to
00:06:55defend themselves. i know that the US is rushing to
00:06:59get more weapons um to Saudi Arabia and that be may be one
00:07:03the reasons why Trump is actively assessing whether the US
00:07:06will join the frey right now because as you say if Saudi can't
00:07:10sufficiently defend itself then the US need to go on
00:07:13offensive uh in Yemen
00:07:16in Northern Yemen in order to help defend Saudi Arabia and the more success the
00:07:19Hutis have the greater uh the likelihood that Trump will get
00:07:23involved. In Trump's mind he he one the reasons he
00:07:26was uh happy to take the promise from
00:07:28the Houthies that they wouldn't attack American shipping as a way to not connect the
00:07:32conflicts further. These attacks on Saudi Arabia are now
00:07:36reconnecting uh the conflict in a way that makes it uh somewhat
00:07:40inevitable that the US will get more
00:07:42involved.
00:07:55Donald Trump says it's time for Ukraine to get new
00:07:58president. It follows criticism from his Ukrainian
00:08:01counterpart a US diesel deal with Russia.
00:08:05Voladimir Zelensky has called the move weak and warned it will only
00:08:09help Russia's war. The deal is expected to leave. to the immediate
00:08:13release of more than 3000 tons of Russian diesel with more to
00:08:17come in the months ahead. Trump is trying to drive down record
00:08:21diesel prices in the US ahead of next month's mid-term
00:08:24elections. Well, I think he should have an
00:08:28election, and he could have settled this thing many times. Well,
00:08:32I think that Russia would like to make deal
00:08:36and we've had it back and forth, but Russia would like to make
00:08:39deal, but uh, as I said, "this is something that could have
00:08:43been solved many times, but for whatever
00:08:47reason Zelinski does not want to make deal.
00:08:51Leoni lakani has more from the US
00:08:53capital. Well,
00:08:55what we're seeing Trump do is essentially trying shift the
00:08:59blame from himself and from the White House in the
00:09:02administration for the higher diesel and oil prices that we're seeing
00:09:06around the world, especially here in the United States, and we've been hearing
00:09:10him say these kinds of things recently and..." campaign rallies, he's
00:09:13trying to blame Ukraine and Zelensky for these higher prices that
00:09:17we're seeing, uh, and when you talk to oil analysts, they say, yes, of
00:09:21course uh, the Ukraine Russia war does impact
00:09:24prices, but the bigger issue is the fact that supplies have
00:09:28been essentially brought almost a stancel from the street of Herm, which
00:09:32would point fingers once again at the administration in the Iran
00:09:36war, and so what we hear Trump do repeatedly, especially in recent
00:09:40weeks, is try and blame Ukraine and for it
00:09:44uh and the types of actions we've seen him do in the past few weeks shows that
00:09:47he's actually quite concerned about these prices, diesel
00:09:51prices uh in the US are up nearly
00:09:5475% since the war began uh and this
00:09:57really impacts the heartlands of America, the farming,
00:10:01agricultural parts the country that are very important part of
00:10:04Trump's base uh and in recent weeks we've seen him
00:10:07taking quite a few drastic actions, so last month
00:10:11U.S. Congress... passed
00:10:13a bill that essentially widened the sanctions on
00:10:16Russia, not just that, Trump came out and criticized
00:10:20Europeans who were still buying oil from Russia, and
00:10:24then he makes his about. turn making making this diesel uh
00:10:27deal with Russia in the past day. um, addition
00:10:31to that, he has threatened the Europeans, he threatened
00:10:35to ban American exports of diesel to
00:10:39the Europe, and Europeans responded by releasing some their
00:10:43stock piles, trying to add supply to the market, which is what Trump
00:10:46wanted. um, he's even waved a fuel tax a different
00:10:50type of diesel in the country to try and add supplies. the problem with all
00:10:54of this... at the moment is nothing is really shifting the
00:10:57prices uh and so all these kinds of measures and all these kinds
00:11:01of comments we're hearing from Trump just shows that he's a
00:11:05little bit uh desperate and also just very
00:11:08concerned about what's happening with the prices and he knows that voters are paying
00:11:12attention. David de Rosh is associate professor
00:11:16at the near East South Asia center the National Defense
00:11:19University. He says Trump could have lowered US fuel prices
00:11:23without Russia's help.
00:11:27Zolensky, he holds Zolensky responsible for his in part
00:11:31for his first impeachment, he doesn't think that Zelinsky set up the impeachment,
00:11:35but that Zelensky could have made a public statement and would have derailed the
00:11:39impeachment, and I mean you saw that amazing spectacle
00:11:42of uh Trump invance ganging up on Zelinski in his first visit to the
00:11:46White House, which was really kind of disgraceful um
00:11:50so you know he there's no love loss there, but I
00:11:53do think... that again, if Trump wanted to just
00:11:57influence the price of diesel in the United States, he'd just say, okay, we're not going to export
00:12:01diesel, and uh, that would have a more immediate effect and
00:12:05would be uh, yeah, more um conducive for
00:12:09us prices, but uh, I think what's possible
00:12:13here is just all these foreign leaders are talking about the impending,
00:12:16you've you've got shortages of diesel, you've got shortages of
00:12:19fertilizer, and you've got Elninho, uh, we might
00:12:23see - uh, global spike in food
00:12:26prices uh similar to what we saw in 2009 that really
00:12:30affected
00:12:31the the global south and most of this export of diesel is
00:12:35is going to go to those countries so you know it's it's quite possible that it's
00:12:39just an interest you know different priorities and he's prioritized one thing
00:12:43over the other or it's possible that uh uh one the things his
00:12:46detractors say is that he's always agrees with the last person he spoke
00:12:50to and you know maybe this is just a weird idea that he's
00:12:54decided to Israeli strikes have
00:12:58hit Gaza with Dead Alballa and Gaza City among the areas
00:13:01targeted, at least five Palestinians were killed and eight
00:13:05wounded when an Israeli strike hit a gathering of civilians in
00:13:08Gaza City on Saturday, while Israeli attacks killed two others
00:13:12in separate incidents. Earlier, at least six people were injured by
00:13:16Israeli gunis according to medical sources
00:13:20there. More than 1400 Palestinians have been killed since the
00:13:24October season. fire last year. Let's get an update now from
00:13:28Ashf Shanan joining us from Gaza City. So Ashif, just bring us
00:13:32up to speed with the latest attacks that have taken place over the last 24
00:13:35hours.
00:13:40Well, late last night, Yashni Israeli fighter
00:13:44jets targeted at least 10 places. Million Gaza
00:13:48City as well as areas in central gaza like the town of
00:13:52Zawaida and the town of balah. some areas were
00:13:56issued evacuation orders, other areas
00:13:58didn't, so over the last 24
00:14:02hours at least seven people have have been
00:14:04killed, more than dozen others were also
00:14:08injured, and of course we're in
00:14:12the already in the fourth year the war,
00:14:15because when you when you talk to here to people here Yash, they
00:14:19say that what didn't end despite the fact that
00:14:23technically it ended? back on October
00:14:262025, but the Israeli attacks
00:14:30continues continue, the Israeli violations
00:14:34continue, well even today at
00:14:37least six people were injured in by Israeli
00:14:40guunis in southern Gaza,
00:14:43also the town of Musad in central Gaza,
00:14:47just a bit north of of deril
00:14:50balah sustained at least
00:14:54three uh
00:14:57shells a part of that ceasefire agreement was for Israel to
00:15:00allow in hundreds of trucks for much needed
00:15:03aid. we know that earlier this week ahead the
00:15:07October 7th anniversary, the crossings into Gaza were all
00:15:11closed by Israel. have th those now been opened
00:15:15to allow in some of those trucks with
00:15:17aid?
00:15:22well, I wouldn't call it open, Yashni, because... Even before the
00:15:25war, the Israel's was
00:15:29closed the crossing for more than 100 days every
00:15:33year, and after the seasfire.
00:15:37the the crossings mainly the Israeli
00:15:41karim shalom crossing and kisofiem and
00:15:44sometimes the keem crossing in northern gaza we're working partially mean
00:15:48it's like you know facet is dripping it's technically open
00:15:52but that doesn't mean it's you know allowing enough water
00:15:56uh you know to drip or or to to fall in the cup
00:16:00but as part the seasfire agreement you talked about
00:16:03it israel
00:16:04was supposed to all 600 trucks of eight daily. they for
00:16:08the first two months the seas fire they were allowing some 200 trucks not
00:16:12eight trucks and nowadays they
00:16:16the max is 300 trucks but nearly
00:16:1980% of those trucks yashini are
00:16:23soda soft drinks
00:16:26chocolate things that not vital for for
00:16:30for people survive or or
00:16:34or to to help them you know
00:16:37grow, especially for children to grow a a good
00:16:41way.
00:16:46Amil harazin is a word man with what could be very
00:16:50harsh winter around the corner. He's deeply
00:16:53concerned for his family who live a
00:16:56tent. I'm trying to secure my tent. I have
00:17:00newborn baby who is less than a week old and three young
00:17:03children. Last year we suffered badly when a storm hit so I need to
00:17:06be. compared this time, this year the conditions
00:17:10could be much worse for the people in Gaza already suffering due to
00:17:14Israel's devastating war on the strip, for families
00:17:18living in fragile shelters, even basic preparations may not
00:17:22be enough, war damaged homes and obliterated
00:17:25infrastructure leave many displacement sites
00:17:29vulnerable to flooding as well as
00:17:31collapse, we heard that very
00:17:35powerful storm may be coming our way, could destroy homes, let
00:17:38alone tents. We put our trust in God. My tent is
00:17:42so fragile that even a light storm could destroy it.
00:17:46Imagine what this storm could do. The storm he is
00:17:50referring to is the elninu weather phenomena.
00:17:54Scientists are warning about its catastrophic effects which could
00:17:57settle firmly by December. And in Gaza, its
00:18:01repercussions could make life even worse. According to the
00:18:05International Organization for mig. IOM,
00:18:09around 1.8 million people are living in displacement
00:18:12sites across the wartorn territory, more than
00:18:1580% the tents and makeshift
00:18:18shelters are in poor condition, while only
00:18:2217% of winter shelter needs have been
00:18:24met. We're dreading the winter as well
00:18:28as the storm, the rain could flood our tents, leaking in from
00:18:32above and sweeping in from below. We have almost
00:18:36nothing to protect us. with we lie awake at night, worried
00:18:40about the rain and the strong winds. there is no end to the
00:18:44suffering. with little protection from the rain,
00:18:47families fear the destruction the shelters and the exposure to
00:18:51the cold. as palestinians prepare to face another harsh
00:18:55winter, they brace themselves for the worst and mid Israel's refusal to
00:18:59allow adequate shelter material. ashraf Shanan,

00:19:10to India now where a court has ordered the release of cockroach janter
00:19:14party leaders after protests erupted in the capital. They were
00:19:18arrested on Saturday along with thousands of others who took to the streets
00:19:22calling for the resignation the country's election chief. They're
00:19:25accusing him of sideespping rules and regulations and making
00:19:29several changes to the voter registration process.
00:19:33Security has been beefed up in New Delhi as protesters refused to
00:19:37give up. the UN has expressed concern and urged
00:19:40officials to respect the rights of protesters. the interrum
00:19:44leader the cockroach movement says the demonstrations will continue
00:19:48until the election leader
00:19:50resigns. we want to tell
00:19:54this government that we are not scared of your dictorial actions. the
00:19:58way this government responded today, it shows that
00:20:00it is scared the public and it is like we have one half
00:20:04of our battle. the government would be feeling that the... protest would end
00:20:08today if they detained us, but this is new beginning of our
00:20:12protest, the protest will continue until Gyanesh
00:20:16Kumar resigns and no matter how
00:20:19many people they detained today, we will come back tomorrow and
00:20:23march towards the jantar mantar and our protest will continue
00:20:27till Gayanesh Kumar
00:20:28resigns. Smitha Sharma is
00:20:32following the latest developments from New Delhi, tensions
00:20:36continue to prevail. high here in the Indian capital,
00:20:40day after we saw massive detentions, thousands of
00:20:44people rounded up by multiple layers of security
00:20:47forces as they were trying to march. to the designated protest
00:20:51site of Chantar Mantar, seeking the resignation the
00:20:55chief election commissioner who is surrounded by several controversies,
00:20:58including serious allegations of electoral fraud favoring
00:21:02the incumbent BJP, the government led by Prime Minister
00:21:06Narendra Modi, meanwhile the Cook Route Janata party which was
00:21:10born out of satire just a couple of months ago and has become one
00:21:14of India's prime youth political outfit,
00:21:18its top leaders Abhijit. Dipke, Ashutosh, Ranka, Saurav,
00:21:22Das were yesterday detained from inside an
00:21:25aircraft an unprecedented move as soon as they landed in
00:21:29New Delhi, however, a short while ago, local
00:21:33court has now allowed them to be released,
00:21:37they were under preventive arrest, they have had to submit bond and give
00:21:41some assurances, but the movement however is a far from
00:21:45dying down,
00:21:45in fact the corcro janata party, several other left leaning student
00:21:49unions, outfits, they have all said that the protests will
00:21:53continue even today, there is high security across
00:21:56the national capital region, yesterday we saw protests break out in
00:22:00different parts the city and students, young
00:22:04people, they were not allowed to not just reach Jantar mantar but from
00:22:08various places, you know wherever just two them, three them
00:22:12were seen, either they were laty charged or they were just ruffed up, so
00:22:16delhi continues to remain and feel and look
00:22:20like a fortress, the opposition law makers also are bracing up for
00:22:24major protests tomorrow, it's going to be a tense day
00:22:28ahead. your stories we're following for
00:22:32you. eritreya has asked
00:22:33the UN security council to intervene in what it describes as Ethiopia's
00:22:37declaration of war. Ethiopia says Eritreian forces
00:22:41have advanced up to 60 kilometers into Tigry, adding it
00:22:45sees other option than to defend itself. The region has been the

00:23:38Faso, deaf and yearing impired people are using a special technique to
00:23:42dance. It helps them feel the rhythm and has opened up new social
00:23:46possibilities for this often marginalized group. Bahar has
00:23:50story: they may not hear the
00:23:53music, but these dancers can feel its rhythm. all
00:23:57them are deaf or hard of hearing. their instructor
00:24:01Yayasanu has found the way to help them follow the beat. he
00:24:05uses his space to show the tempo and mute the
00:24:09music. the dancers can also feel the music
00:24:13through vibrations in the floor. i really like to dance,

00:24:46keeping themselves to themselves, they did nothing. they didn't
00:24:50even participate in sociocultural activities and caught my
00:24:54attention, i said to myself, it's not normal, we have to do
00:24:58something, so decided to propose teaching dance and
00:25:01it all started from there, and when i started, the impact,
00:25:05the reaction, the positive change in the daily life these dancers,
00:25:09these young people, made me understand that there was a
00:25:12need, sanu has trained his dancers to such
00:25:16level that he entered team to the 2023.

00:25:37was here doing nothing, but now i can also travel
00:25:41and i really love traveling. for these
