00:00:15Saudi authority say another projectile hits the international airport in Riyadh
00:00:19as the hoothies claim responsibility for Saturday's deadly strike on
00:00:23the same
00:00:24in airport. Hello and welcome to TRT World Life from
00:00:28Istanbul, I'm Jafar Hustan, so coming
00:00:30up, Israel expands its so-called yellow line
00:00:34in Gaza,
00:00:35of forcing dozens of Palestinian families to flee in the middle
00:00:37of the night. Donald Trump says Russia and Ukraine
00:00:41have agreed to halt a strikes on each other's energy infrastructure.
00:00:45Voluder Zelensky welcomes the move. The Polish
00:00:49interior
00:00:49of minister of says the man who
00:00:51of threatened and planned to attack prime minister Donald
00:00:54of Tusk has been
00:00:54arrested.
00:01:00of
00:01:10of We start this hour in Saudi Arabia where authorities say another
00:01:14projectile has hit Riyad's main airport causing fire. The
00:01:18attack
00:01:18of comes less than day after a missile strike at the same airport killed
00:01:22in 13 people and injured more than 300 others.
00:01:25of Hutis have claimed responsibility for the attack. The militia has also warned
00:01:29airline. and travelers to stay away from Saudi
00:01:32airports. Basambini begins our
00:01:34coverage. Saudi Arabia has been
00:01:38of hit hard, deep inside its territory. there was
00:01:42panic inside the domestic terminals of king Khalid international
00:01:46airport in Riyad after it was track by a missile
00:01:50on Saturday
00:01:51of afternoon. The Saudi led military coalition describes
00:01:55what happened as a war crime,
00:01:57of vowing, decisive response. A projectile
00:02:01also landed near King
00:02:03of Fahad International Airport in Damasmam. The
00:02:06Saudis blame the Ansar Allah Hothies from neighboring
00:02:10Yeman for the attacks. The UN secretary general also
00:02:14pointed the finger at the group. Antonio
00:02:17Guteresh demanded that the attack stop
00:02:20immediately. The Iran backed group
00:02:24said it carried out separate strikes on Riyad's main airport on
00:02:29in Thursday killing. three people and damaging an aircraft, but they
00:02:33haven't claimed responsibility for
00:02:35of Saturday's strike. hours before, the huties had
00:02:39said they were prepared
00:02:41in to take reciprocal steps with Saudi
00:02:44of Arabia to keep airport seaports and other civilian
00:02:48of facilities used for humanitarian
00:02:51a purposes out
00:02:51of the expanding confrontation. the question now
00:02:55is whether or not the US will respond to Saudi calls to join
00:02:59in? think about that, i think it's terrible,
00:03:03well you're going
00:03:04of to find out, see, but i think it's terrible,
00:03:08are the soudies able to defend themselves now, well they're able to defend,
00:03:12look, the saudis are good fighters, but i think the attack was
00:03:15terrible thing, the huties have already put pressure on
00:03:19Saudi Arabia through their control
00:03:21of the bebel mandab straight, through which much of
00:03:25Saudi Arabia's oil exports are
00:03:28shipped, but In the past week, the Yemani
00:03:32of government forces, backed by Saudi Arabia, have made
00:03:36some progress
00:03:37of in pushing back the Huti advance. They claimed on
00:03:41Saturday to have killed more than 1,400
00:03:45Huti fighters in 24 hours. The
00:03:48next move could determine
00:03:51of not only the state of this conflict, but whether the region
00:03:55again becomes engaffed in
00:03:57war.
00:04:00world
00:04:02of muhammad has been following the latest developments from so now
00:04:06according to the military spokes person he has just made
00:04:09this recent and fresh
00:04:13pressure he mentioned that they have uh
00:04:17more than 124 air rais have been carried out on different
00:04:21areas under their control also he has mentioned that they
00:04:25have attacked
00:04:27of in three phases this evening.
00:04:31uh the uh the aviation at the airport of king Khalid, he
00:04:35of mentioned that the this is the second operation for them or
00:04:38attack, it is also
00:04:41targeted gas
00:04:43station for she mentioned
00:04:47shagram and that belongs to the aramco company and also the mentioned the
00:04:51third operation according to his words, the
00:04:55targeted tree that belongs to aramku uh which is an
00:04:58oil facility. in the eastern eastern region
00:05:02of Saudi Arabia he says that the most
00:05:04of these uh attacks have been precise and also they have
00:05:08reached uh their targets uh according to his and also he
00:05:11also uh iterated uh his warnings to
00:05:15the um aviation flight companies not to go
00:05:19towards Saudi Arabia accept for the the
00:05:22allowed for the aviation to to carry
00:05:26on in Mecca and in Madina. He mentioned that
00:05:29the uh he cautiously
00:05:32warned workers and also employees not to go to to Saudi
00:05:36Arabia. He is mentioning also we are in
00:05:40latest press that the... have also carried
00:05:43out um attacks inside the country on
00:05:46mobilizations that that were coming from edin laahj
00:05:50and the has mentioned that they have inflected heavy losses on
00:05:54these reenforcements.
00:05:57we are talking about the internationally recognized government forces the
00:06:01which he they have mentioned also inflicting heavy loss on the
00:06:05houthes they have mentioned that in this in their later recent press
00:06:09that they have inflected heavy losses on
00:06:13them they are talking about more than
00:06:151,150 hoti
00:06:17fighters, earlier i spoke to
00:06:21rifat, the president the pakistan based think tank initiate
00:06:25futures about whether or not Saudi Arabia is expected to
00:06:28retaliate following second the attack on Riyad's main
00:06:32airport, take a look at the
00:06:35statements from turkey and most the Saudi military
00:06:39establishment, they do believe that retaliation is extremely... important:
00:06:43first of all, it's highly condemnable what has happened on the king Khalid international
00:06:47airport with 12 civilians or over 300 casualties of which
00:06:51many them have been injured, has taken place. it clearly suggests a
00:06:54major escalation, it shows that the hot rebels or the Saudis
00:06:58would like to call them terrorists, are not really inclined towards respecting
00:07:02international humanitarian law, they actually
00:07:05want escalate
00:07:06this conflict to point whereby they're sending strategic signals,
00:07:10according to them that the aviation industry. in Saudi Arabia and their
00:07:13interception capacity the ballistic miles which are actually
00:07:17incoming in the capital Riyadh can easily be exposed, so I
00:07:21think that Saudi Arabia is under immense pressure to
00:07:24basically first of all look forward to the prospect
00:07:28of you know looking at the prospect of
00:07:32you know calling upon their allies whether it's Turkey or Islambad according to the Maka defense
00:07:35agreement to provide them with the necessary you could say military
00:07:39equipment and the capability and the counter. brown
00:07:42strategies which are enstrined in the agreement to attack the hoothies, because
00:07:46this is major escalation, and as we're speaking right now, there's been another
00:07:50attack at the King Khalid international airport which has resulted in significant
00:07:54debris, so it clearly suggests that the hutis are pretty much
00:07:58adamant that they want to expose Saudi Arabia and its ability to
00:08:01basically defend itself, which obviously is red line for the kingdom, and
00:08:05this is what I'm struggling to understand at this point in time, I understand Hothies are
00:08:09backed by Iran, but when it comes to the latest escalation between the Hutis and the
00:08:13Saudis, are the Hutis acting independently or
00:08:17are they getting direct support from
00:08:19Iran? well, first of all, it's very difficult to
00:08:23distinguish between as a proxy and is as an
00:08:27independent actor. now the Hutis would claim that they are independently acting
00:08:31and retaliating against what they consider to be Saudi violations of
00:08:35international humanitarian law in Yemen and obviously they
00:08:39responded by curtailing the bubble under the...
00:08:43mandib straight as well as ensuring that they could attack strategically
00:08:46significant cities, whether it's Raad or the religious city of
00:08:50Makkah, but obviously Iran's role in this entire conflict can
00:08:54not necessarily be, you know, you can't dilute Iran's
00:08:57role, because Iran has historically and in contemporary times obviously
00:09:01provided the houti rebels with political, economic and military
00:09:05support, but obviously the Iranian regime, I
00:09:07mean if you take a look at the statements on Tehran, they'd be very cautious in
00:09:11basically claiming... responsibility or even
00:09:14condemming the attacks from the huti rebels as well, so it's a
00:09:17difficult you, unless we don't have actual, we
00:09:21can't really establish whether this was you know hoodwink by Iran or whether
00:09:25this was proxy warfare, classical proxy warfare
00:09:29or whether the hoothies were actually acting independently, but what we can establish
00:09:33is that this has historically been in iran aligned
00:09:37group which has operated in the middle east and is an extremely integral part
00:09:41of Iran's so-called of resistance which also includes the
00:09:44Iraqiia militias as well as hezbollah in lebanon,
00:09:48so this is going to be very interesting to see as to whether or not this
00:09:52was an independent claim, but the hutis have claimed quite
00:09:55unabashedly that they independently acted with regard to the riad attack
00:09:59which resulted in 12 casualties, and now there is also talk
00:10:02about the US possibly attacking the hood, certainly
00:10:06president donald trump is deciding whether or not he should send his
00:10:10forces if the US gets involved at
00:10:13this stage, what would it mean for the future of this
00:10:16war? well, Donald Trump obviously,
00:10:20he does want to brandish his credential as a
00:10:23peacemaker, hasn't ruled out negotiations between the two
00:10:27parties, but if the escalatory, if you take a look at this latest press
00:10:30conference, where you speaking to the journalists for that matter, it is quite clear
00:10:34that he wants these attacks to basically stop. now with this
00:10:38continuation of attacks, first it was the drone which actually penetrated into the
00:10:42religious city of Mecca, then you had the King Khalid airport being attacked
00:10:45twice, the latest attack which took place today, which resulted a
00:10:49ballistic message resulting in debri all
00:10:51across the airport, that would... seriously
00:10:55suggest that the US would want to make sure that some sort of military
00:10:59deployments actually do take place to defend the kingdom, but I
00:11:02think more so, I think the more important question
00:11:06here would be, how would Turkey and Pakistan as
00:11:10signatories to the Mecca defense agreement would respond to this, because
00:11:13collective defense and ensuring that the sanctity the kingdom is
00:11:17respected and whether attack a member state results,
00:11:21it is actually equated to attack on all member states, those are central
00:11:25tenents the Mecca defense agreement, so the United States as well as
00:11:29regional players and allies of Saudi Arabia could definitely respond in kind
00:11:33to this, but it if the Hutis continued to go ahead on this
00:11:37escalatory path, we could see increased American
00:11:40involvement and engagement as well as military deployments, but it
00:11:44really does depend on whether this escalation would increase. I don't think this is a
00:11:48strategic move, the Hutis would want to signal to the entire Middle East
00:11:52that Saudi Arabia's economic, you could say, its ability
00:11:55economically sustain itself is questionable, they don't have the interception
00:11:59capacity, they also believe that air,
00:12:02you know, the aviation industry would also be subject to their own
00:12:05dictates, so this is more of a strategic move, but if it continues
00:12:09escalate then yes you could say you could
00:12:12you know you could speculate as to whether or not American
00:12:15increase military involv, turkish foreign ministry has
00:12:19strongly condemned Saturday's who
00:12:22the attack on king Khalid international airport in Riad. In a statement
00:12:26it says, these attacks which deliberately target civilian infrastructure and
00:12:30innocent civilians constitute a clear violation of international
00:12:33law and the principles of international humanitarian
00:12:36law. We emphasize that such actions which
00:12:40pose a threat to regional security and stability and undermine the international
00:12:44community's collective efforts to establish peace must seiz
00:12:47immediately. As Turkey, we reaffirm our support for
00:12:51Saudi Arabia sovereignty and territorial integrity.
00:13:01The Israeli military is expanding its so-called yellow line in the
00:13:05east of Gaza City. Israeli forces opened heavy fire and
00:13:09launched artillery shelling in shujaya injuring two Palestinians including a
00:13:12pregnant woman. dozens of Palestinian families were forced to flee once again
00:13:16in search of safety following advances by Israeli
00:13:19military. locals describe it as night of
00:13:23terror filled with heavy. Israeli gun fire and explosions.
00:13:27The UN said nearly two-third the enclave is inaccessible to
00:13:31Palestinians or subject to severe
00:13:33restrictions. Residents of Gaza's al
00:13:37Zawaida have inspected the aftermath of an Israeli air strike. The residents say they
00:13:41were given five minutes to evacuate before bombs were dropped on the house on
00:13:44Saturday. Israel has stepped up a strikes against Palestinians in
00:13:48Gaza undermining a US broker cease fire agreed one year
00:13:52ago. Israel controls more than
00:13:5570% in reality, because we are
00:13:59here, we see this with our own eyes, 64%, that
00:14:02was maybe two months ago, according to to
00:14:06international agencies working in Gaza, but almost every hour,
00:14:10every day far Israeli forces are creeping further
00:14:13west, right now more than 2
00:14:17million people in Gaza are living in less than 30% of of
00:14:21of Gaza's territory, Gaza is to be 300.
00:14:2560 square kilometers approximately and now people
00:14:29are living within about 100 kilometers and even the 100 kilometers are not
00:14:33safe because you have daily air strikes uh tank
00:14:37fire, sniper fire,
00:14:39even random fire by machine guns, you know they they just
00:14:42open the fire on anything
00:14:44that moves, they open their fires, they they they move their machine
00:14:48guns to the western part of Gaza, so the majority
00:14:52the territory that Israeli forces are... pointing their forces at
00:14:56is towards the west, towards the Mediterranean, while in some areas like
00:15:00Bethlahia and Northern Gaza, they point their guns towards the
00:15:04south, and in the south the point to towards the
00:15:07north, as not only that Jafar, even in the
00:15:11in the Mediterranean, Israeli gumboats fire on people on
00:15:15the coastal area where thousands of tents are located,
00:15:19tens of thousands of not hundreds of hundreds of thousands of
00:15:22children, women, elderly people are. living in
00:15:25those tents, so far today,
00:15:28at least six people were injured, including a pregnant woman, jafar
00:15:32in her second trimester, and doctors say
00:15:36it's they're not. or if they're able even to save the
00:15:39mother or or or her
00:15:42feetus now already since the start the
00:15:46seasfire back in October 2025 and already now we already
00:15:49passed one year since this so-called seasfire close to
00:15:531500 people have lost their lives more than 500 others
00:15:57injured while earlier this morning for example in
00:16:00eastern ghaza city less than the kilometers from where
00:16:04I'm standing if you go east about 3 km, 3
00:16:08and a half kilometers, I'll be, I'll be faced with a Israeli tank or
00:16:12a machine gun in front of me. Of course, nobody, nobody
00:16:16even dares to get close to that area where Israely soldiers are
00:16:20located. A few hundred meters
00:16:24to the west the so-called to this to the east the so-called
00:16:28yellow line, they keep opening their heavy machine guns and
00:16:31artillery and tank fire towards the
00:16:35western parts of that area. so this morning
00:16:38people were sleeping, although they're not sleeping safely
00:16:42within uh partially standing
00:16:44buildings damaged by
00:16:48Israel's war and inside makeshift
00:16:51tents
00:16:52and they woke up this morning finding the yellow blocks
00:16:56moved past them and this means you're a kill
00:17:00zone so people you know panic dozens of families just just ran
00:17:04away with whatever they can and sometimes some people i I've seen
00:17:07people who who left with nothing because they know life is
00:17:11more important than belongings
00:17:13jaf
00:17:17right Ashraf and I understand winter is only few months
00:17:21away so how can Palestinians if at all prepare for
00:17:24the harsh conditions
00:17:26there
00:17:32well every coming every every everything is coming against the Palestinians
00:17:36in Gaza. weather, the some people say it's
00:17:40the international conspiracy of silence when it comes to palestinians and
00:17:44now the international organization of migration (iUM)
00:17:47says Israel is not allowing tens of thousands of tens and
00:17:50shelter shelter supplies to enter gaza, especially that
00:17:54elninho is approaching and its
00:17:58effects could could you know most likely will affect the
00:18:01people of Gaza, and we have more in the following
00:18:04package.
00:18:09"Amil al harazin is a word man with what could be very
00:18:13harsh winter around the corner, he's deeply
00:18:16concerned for his family who live a
00:18:19tent. I'm trying to secure my tent, I have
00:18:23newborn baby who is less than a week old and three young
00:18:26children. Last year we suffered badly when a storm hit, so I need
00:18:30to be prepared this time. This year the conditions
00:18:34could be much worse for the people in Gaza already. suffering due to
00:18:38Israel's devastating war on the strip, for families
00:18:42living in fragile shelters, even basic preparations may not
00:18:45be enough, war damaged homes and obliterated
00:18:49infrastructure leave many displacement sites
00:18:52vulnerable to flooding as well as
00:18:54collapse, we heard that very
00:18:58powerful storm may be coming our way, it could destroy homes, let
00:19:02alone tents, we put our trust in god, my tent is
00:19:06so fragile that and light storm could destroy it,
00:19:09imagine what this storm could do, the storm he's
00:19:13referring to is the elninu weather phenomena.
00:19:17scientists are warning about its catastrophic effects which could
00:19:21settle firmly by december. and in Gaza, its
00:19:25repercussions could make life even worse. according to the
00:19:28international organization for migration (IOM) around
00:19:321.8 million people are living in displacement sites
00:19:36across the world. on territory, more than 80%
00:19:40the tents and makeshift shelters are in poor
00:19:43condition, while only 17% of winter shelter
00:19:47needs have been met, we're dreading
00:19:51the winter as well as the storm, the rain could flood our tents,
00:19:54leaking in from above and sweeping in from
00:19:58below, we have almost nothing to protect ourselves with, we
00:20:01lie awake at night, worried about the rain and the strong
00:20:05winds, there is no end to the... with
00:20:09little protection from the rain, families fear the destruction
00:20:12the shelters and the exposure to the cold.
00:20:16As palestinians prepare to face another harsh winter, they brace themselves for
00:20:20the worst, am mid Israel's refusal to allow adequate shelter
00:20:24material. Ashraf Shanan, TRT World,
00:20:27Gaza. In the occupied West Bang, illegal israeli settleers
00:20:31attacked Palestinians trying to harvest olives on their land east of
00:20:35Ramala. Residents from several. had gathered together hoping
00:20:39there would be safety in
00:20:39numbers
00:20:44village west of ramalla palestinians came to pick up their
00:20:48olives from a land the... used to pick up the olives from
00:20:52since decades, but this year it's different as a lega settlers established
00:20:56a new outpost at the top of that mountain. today
00:20:59the residents decided to go to their land and to pick up their olives in
00:21:03groups so they can guarantee their protection as illegal settlers are
00:21:07attacking the palestinians frequently in different areas in the occupied west
00:21:11bank, but they were also attacked by the illegal settlers and
00:21:15of course backed by Israeli forces
00:21:19palestiny. losing their land, the settle establish this outpost about
00:21:23seven months ago, taking control the entire hill. this
00:21:27is their fathers and grandfathers lands, they planted these trees and
00:21:31worked hard to cultivate the land. during the olive harvest,
00:21:35the settlers not only still their olives, but also take over their
00:21:38land, preventing Palestinians from assessing their own
00:21:42property. illegal settlers have seized the head the local cancers vehicle and
00:21:46prevented residence from reaching the land. what is happening here is a part of
00:21:50wider pattern across the occupied west bank, where Palestinians land have
00:21:54been taken. Palestinians left today without picking their olive
00:21:57harvest, but they
00:21:59say they want to keep on trying, not just to get the amount of
00:22:02olive harvest they used to get every year, but to keep the land,
00:22:06identity and heritage. Turkish head of
00:22:10communications bran has condemned Israeli defense minister
00:22:13Israel's remarks targeting president recep and
00:22:17Turkey. Theron says the comments reflect. political
00:22:20desperation ahead of Israel's upcoming
00:22:22elections. Baseless accusations against
00:22:26Turkia cannot conceal the Israeli government's record of genocide in
00:22:30Gaza or its continued aggressive policies in our region.
00:22:34Cuds explicit that threats against individuals involved in sece fire
00:22:38and peace negotiations are yet another manifestation the Israeli
00:22:42government's disregard for international law. Turkey will continue
00:22:46to defend the legitimate rights the Palestinian people, justice and
00:22:50lasting peace: the Israeli government's threats, provocations and
00:22:53summer campaigns will not deter our country from its steadfast
00:22:57commitment to upholding what is right and just. At
00:23:01least 13 people have been killed in aerial attack a gold mine near the
00:23:05Sudanes Egyptian border, that's according to the Sudan doctors
00:23:08network. It occurred in the very north of Sudan's river Niila
00:23:12state. Egypt has previously carried out attacks in this area
00:23:15accusing Sudanese minors of border violations or smuggling, though neither
00:23:19Sudanese. nor Egyptian authorities have commented on Saturday's
00:23:23incident
00:23:24yet.
00:23:37Donald Trump says Russia and Ukraine have agreed to halt a strikes on each other's energy
00:23:41infrastructure. Donald Trump made the announcement on his truth social platform without
00:23:45giving further details. It came two days after making a deal with Russian
00:23:49President Vladimir Putin. to buy large quantities of diesel, earlier president
00:23:52Donald Trump had said it was time for Ukraine to get new president, to which
00:23:56Volodimir Zelensky replied saying it is up to his people to pick up a
00:24:00leader. Aaron Dohluolu has
00:24:03more made this announcement on
00:24:06truth social, but the two parties, not only Ukraine,
00:24:10Russia as well, have not made a comment on this announcement yet, Russia hasn't made a
00:24:14comment and Ukraine, Zelinski has said that he's surprised but he
00:24:18would welcome a ceasefire. Meanwhile uh Ursolov
00:24:22underline the EU came out and voiced her support for
00:24:26Zelinski, voiced the support the EU for Zelinski. Clearly there's
00:24:29a row between the Ukrainian leader and President
00:24:33Donald Trump. Uh, their relationship was always rocky even once
00:24:37Trump got elected for his second term, Zelinski came to the White House
00:24:41and that meeting got very tense, and since then they've had some
00:24:45ups and downs, but of course now the big elephant in the room is
00:24:49the new... diesel deal with Russia and Russia has
00:24:52now uh committed to supply uh the United
00:24:56States with extra diesel after Trump's call with
00:24:59President Vladimir Putin so uh with that
00:25:03bearing that in mind uh and the elections coming and the high gas
00:25:07prices and the pressure on the Republican Party and President Donald
00:25:11Trump um the president's thinking about lot of
00:25:15different factors here including the elections
00:25:18and
00:25:19Ucrainian strikes on Russian oil infrastructure is only
00:25:23going to bring oil prices up, so uh the
00:25:26president wants to avoid that, but what's happening
00:25:30today is another surreal turn of events, uh, what's the
00:25:34strategy here? It could be wishful thinking, right, President
00:25:38Trump wants a cease fire, but he comes out and announces a
00:25:42cease fire that's news to Ukraine's president, the
00:25:45same president that President Donald Trump called to be
00:25:49replaced. yesterday uh, which was also a
00:25:53very, very surprising and surreal turn of events, and now the
00:25:57EU's backing Ukraine's president and
00:26:00meanwhile president Donald Trump. Trump here in Washington is
00:26:04making announcements that the other parties haven't even commented on,
00:26:08and that's the current situation here in Washington
00:26:11DC. The Polish interior minister says the man who
00:26:14threatened and plananed to attack prime minister Donald Tusk has been
00:26:17arrested. Police say they had received information about a possible
00:26:21assassination plot on Tusk and his deputy who is also defense
00:26:24minister. Senior ministers, police and security
00:26:28officials later held a meeting in Warso. No further details
00:26:32yet. on the suspect's identity or the plant
00:26:34attack earlier I spoke
00:26:38with, he is a political scientist
00:26:42at the Institute of Central Europe, University of Warsaw, he explained
00:26:46what could be the possible motivations behind this
00:26:48plot, we should put this
00:26:52current situation from today in the wider
00:26:55context, I'm happy that you raised the point that Poland is
00:26:59rather safe country indeed with. relatively low
00:27:03crime rates, but what is important is that over the
00:27:06last two days we had a whole wave of concerns
00:27:10related to um online
00:27:14organized attacks
00:27:18by teenagers with the use of
00:27:22knives, so over the last two
00:27:25days there was a lot of tension, some schools were wondering
00:27:29whether kids should be present, and
00:27:33numerous informations were being delivered, um, it
00:27:36turned out that these were issues rather of
00:27:40internal matter related to
00:27:43teenagers, you know, inventions, but what is also
00:27:47important is that the information that you have
00:27:50mentioned was released this morning at
00:27:5411 am, there was an official statement by the
00:27:58secret services, which clearly indicated
00:28:02that...
00:28:02there was a tangible threat and what is most
00:28:05important is that by this evening we
00:28:09already have the information that the person was being
00:28:12arrested, it is in lower cylegia and
00:28:16the only thing we know is that this person is
00:28:20connected to radical organization, but we have no
00:28:23idea what kind of radical organization this is, we expect
00:28:27more information to come later on, what is also
00:28:30important is that it is a a
00:28:34whistleblowing success, because a person that was aware
00:28:38the plans informed the secret services and i think that
00:28:42ultimately also
00:28:44example it is an the
00:28:48hopeful efficiency the
00:28:51secret services in such situations, however we should not
00:28:55forget that if what we know is accurate and this
00:28:59is that there was somebody already signaling the... situation
00:29:03then apparently the the the reaction
00:29:06was much more swift. what do
00:29:08you think is the government's plan to contain the situation? because
00:29:12certainly as we have been discussing it's a relatively calm country, it's
00:29:16safe, but incidents like this
00:29:19obviously have created a lot of panic among the public.
00:29:23it's making international news now. so based on that, what what do you think
00:29:27is the government strategy going to be moving
00:29:31forward? I think
00:29:33actually there are two two sides of this
00:29:36story, the first one is that we should not forget
00:29:39that for the services,
00:29:42this kind of information is rather
00:29:44common
00:29:46situation, and the the the point
00:29:49today, and that was mentioned by the the the speaker the
00:29:53government with the providing of public
00:29:57information on that was first and foremost because the the threat was
00:30:00apparently ' clear and present danger and
00:30:04secondly, because the government wanted to
00:30:07avoid exactly what you have mentioned, panic and
00:30:11confusion, so this information was provided
00:30:14publicly, and then we we have
00:30:18the the outcome in the evening, in that sense I do
00:30:22not expect any profound actions taken by the government
00:30:26in the sense of future security
00:30:29concerns related to this dimension, as I mentioned we
00:30:33see an efficient reaction by the
00:30:37state authorities, the appropriate institutions, therefore i
00:30:41think that this is more kind of a signal for
00:30:44others that the state has the capacity
00:30:48to to to react to such
00:30:52provocations quite swiftly. a state of
00:30:55emergency has been imposed in the pakistani province of
00:30:59government.
