00:00:10Saudi Arabia promises to retaliate after Ansar allahuthi's
00:00:14attacks on airports across the kingdom as Iran
00:00:18offers to mediate. Hello, welcome to

00:01:29House. Arabia is vowing a strong response to the
00:01:32recent
00:01:33Ansarullahuti attacks on Riyad's main international airport. Saudi
00:01:37authorities have extended the suspension of all flights to and from
00:01:40a Riyad as the Houti step up their attacks on the airport and across the
00:01:44kingdom. At least 14 people were killed and
00:01:47of more than 300 injured in the deadliest attacks so far on
00:01:51the airport over the
00:01:53a weekend. The event of recent
00:01:56of weeks are serious. Our response must be equally serious.
00:02:00energy security cannot be taken for
00:02:03granted, for Saudi Arabia,
00:02:06this circumstances have tested our
00:02:10infrastructure, our institution,
00:02:13our people and our
00:02:16resilience, they have also tested decision
00:02:20of made long before the present
00:02:25of crisis, in Yemen, the
00:02:27in government's military says it's targeted several.
00:02:31which has been the scene of intense fighting between the two sides. the
00:02:35hootis have released footage showing Saudi backed Yemeny forces being
00:02:39attacked in Marib. they're also warning the
00:02:42of US not to enter the war in Yemen and issued a warning to
00:02:45employees of Saudi oil facilities and
00:02:48airports.
00:02:52If
00:02:52of the US becomes involved in the aggression against Yemen, we will not deliberate over the
00:02:56decision to respond, rather there will be a swift and painful response.
00:03:00targeting the US and all its interests in the region, wherever we can reach
00:03:04them. We warn all employees and workers at Saudi Oil facilities and
00:03:07airports to stay away from these sites, as they have become legitimate
00:03:11targets for Yemen, particularly as the
00:03:14of situation is heading towards a full scale
00:03:19of a is escalation. insana
00:03:21Muhammad and has the latest on the fighting across the
00:03:23country. We are talking about that we are
00:03:27having two narrations that the Hothies
00:03:29say the... have carried out or
00:03:31of started or resume
00:03:32of this these operations or attacks by the houties on
00:03:36on Saudi Arabia's vessels and also continue to
00:03:40escalate
00:03:41to towards the sea parts and now we are having this
00:03:45newly developments in their attacks in on
00:03:48the airports of Riyadh and different airports
00:03:52in in Saudi Arabia's kingdom so far the the His
00:03:56narration saying that they have escalated in order to put more.
00:04:00pression Saudi Arabia to uh to lift its blockade and also
00:04:03to to uh to allow Yamanes to benefit from their wealth
00:04:07and to allow also yemenis to start to resume
00:04:11talks to to go back to the negotiating table. The
00:04:14highes
00:04:16of leader known as Abdulmalik who said in his
00:04:20latest speech he mentioned that they are
00:04:24they are not to go going to abandon their what he
00:04:27described as their legitimate demands and the will continue whatsoever
00:04:31are the consequences until their demands are met so far
00:04:35the on the other side we are talking about
00:04:37of the Saudi Arabia's official who talked about that the
00:04:41the the security of energy is something
00:04:44in could couldn't be bargan
00:04:48which could be
00:04:50of described as this way so the both sides are adement
00:04:54of to continue this war we what we are having on the ground
00:04:57that the continuation
00:04:58of the first battles and the around the city of tas, especially that the
00:05:01internationally recognized government spokes person mentioned that they have
00:05:05carried out nearly 1,800
00:05:09operations on on the houthis.
00:05:14Iran has offered to facilitate talks between Saudi Arabia and the
00:05:18Hutis. It's also called for a political solution to the
00:05:22conflict. The Yemen
00:05:26issue should have been resolved a long time ago through the same agreement reached between the
00:05:29Yemenes and Saudi Arabia.
00:05:32You know that road map had been agreed upon between Yemen and Saudi Arabia and we had also
00:05:36stressed that we support the implementation of whatever understanding had been
00:05:39reached between them. has
00:05:43more from Tehran? Well, Iran has great
00:05:47influence over Yemen's houthies. Tehran doesn't deny that
00:05:51Yemen's Hothies are its alli. Iran doesn't deny
00:05:54that it has provided Yemen suties with
00:05:57support, economic support, diplomatic support and military
00:06:01support at certain times, but Tehran insis that Yemen's Hothies
00:06:05make their own decisions and the decisions that
00:06:08Hutis make are not made by Tehran and
00:06:12they make independent decisions, so Iran
00:06:16is offering to help, on Sunday evening, Iran's foreign mister
00:06:20Abbas Araqchi had a phone conversation with his Saudi counterpart
00:06:24Faisal bin Farhan, so despite heighten tensions between the two
00:06:28countries between Iran and Saudi Arabia, these two regional
00:06:32rivals continue to have diplomatic engagements
00:06:35at high levels, this was the first phone conversation
00:06:39between the top diplomats since the yemen
00:06:43war started. Iran says that the situation in
00:06:47the Arabian peninsula has no military
00:06:50solution. Tehran maintains that the
00:06:54only way to settle this is through political means and Iran says that it
00:06:58is ready to facilitate talks between Saudi
00:07:01Arabia and between Yeman Southis. Iran says that war
00:07:05between the two countries between Yeman suthis and Saudi Arabia
00:07:09only serves Israely interests. Tehran also
00:07:12says that road map for peace agreed by yemeni waring
00:07:16factions back in 2022 that
00:07:19un backed road map should be the basis for
00:07:23negotiations and for diplomacy to settle this
00:07:26issue. onof obaid is a
00:07:30former saudi government advisor and a visiting senior fellow at king's college. he
00:07:34says the hoothi's motivations are
00:07:36clear. this is a way
00:07:40the the only way to get back. at Saudi
00:07:43Arabia and this is by attacking the civilian
00:07:46targets, what more, what more to make point for
00:07:50them is to hit um the airport or hit any other
00:07:54civilian building to have the, to have the
00:07:58media, the global media attention to it, but ultimately it doesn't
00:08:02really change the the sequencing on the
00:08:05ground, this is a war that has to happen
00:08:08unfortunately, they are as you can see by their actions,
00:08:12they are a terrorist organization that allows themselves
00:08:16to do things that are completely out of international norm. last week they
00:08:20were, they hit an electric generator in
00:08:24medina, so it's just more the same, but
00:08:27they've they have very, they have calculated
00:08:31well that hitting a civilian airport such as the one in
00:08:35riyad or the one in Damasmam, the king fadad airport
00:08:38would make for enough international media attention.
00:08:43to generate a form of embarrassment towards the saudi government, and that's exactly what they're
00:08:46doing.
00:08:49a turkish president strongly condemns the
00:08:53attacks king international airport over the weekend.
00:08:57he was speaking about the mecca joint defense agreement signed
00:09:01with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. other one said the work to
00:09:04establish a permanent institutional framework is
00:09:07continuing. husiler
00:09:11tarafından "We condemn in
00:09:13the strongest terms, the attacks carried out by the Hufis on
00:09:17Saturday against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
00:09:21We ask Allah to have mercy on our brothers and sisters who passed
00:09:25away. Turk stands with Saudi Arabia and its Saudi brothers in the
00:09:29face these unlawful and inhumane attacks. We're
00:09:32continuing our efforts to establish the institutional framework
00:09:36for the joint defense agreement we signed with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia
00:09:40on August 7, and we're..." advancing our defense cooperation
00:09:44along two main things: first, we're working toward the goals
00:09:48of collective defense and regional cooperation.
00:09:51second, we're taking the necessary steps to ensure this
00:09:55cooperation is enshrig a permanent and functional
00:09:59institutional framework, as is the case with NATO.
00:10:02activities under the joint defense agreement will be conducted in
00:10:06accordance with our national legislation. we are continuing
00:10:10our efforts to submit the agreement.
00:10:25immigration officials raided the home of Somali born congresswoman
00:10:28Ilhan Omar in the early hours of Monday morning. Omar is
00:10:32democratic US representative of Minnesota and an outspoken
00:10:36critic of President Donald Trump. She said the raid was an active
00:10:40intimidation and vowed not to be silenced. The
00:10:43investigation is thought to relate to Armar's immigration
00:10:47paperwork. On North America correspondent John Brain
00:10:51has more from Washington DC. This appears. be
00:10:55the latest and certainly the most dramatic development in what has been
00:10:58a long-running investigation into Ilan
00:11:02Omar's immigration history and even her her
00:11:06overall family's history, including claim that she
00:11:10married her brother to get him into the United States, claim
00:11:14she's dismissed as a disgusting lie uh this
00:11:17morning FBI agents sealed off the road where she lives here
00:11:21in Washington and they were seen coming out. of her
00:11:25house with various possessions,
00:11:28including documents, all part of this
00:11:32investigation. Uh, now it's significant because in just
00:11:3522 days time, Ilan Omar will be asking
00:11:39the uh people of Minnesota, those within her
00:11:43district to vote for her to stay in Congress and the
00:11:47protocol usually in the United States is that the Justice
00:11:50Department does not carry out operations like this
00:11:54within. 60 days of an election, even
00:11:58if they believe that a crime has been committed,
00:12:02because they don't want to favor one side or the other, so obviously
00:12:06critics uh of this operation and supporters of
00:12:10Ilan Omar are saying that this is blatant election
00:12:13interference. Israeli forces have
00:12:17launched a drone attack on refugee camp in the south of
00:12:21Gaza killing two Palestinians. Paramedics say several people were wounded in
00:12:25the drone attack which struck near the city of Rafah. The refugee
00:12:28camp there shelters thousands of Palestinians who've been displaced several
00:12:32times in Israel's three-year war. more than
00:12:3574,00 Palestinians have been killed with the toll
00:12:38evidently rising every day. Israel's
00:12:42military continues to expand it so-called yellow line
00:12:46east Gaza City with more than
00:12:4865% the strip now under Israeli
00:12:52army control. the line divides Gaza into... two zones, an
00:12:56eastern area where Israeli forces remain deployed and prevent
00:12:59Palestinians from returning, and a western area where more than 2
00:13:03million have been have been pushed and forced to live
00:13:07under further restrictions. Abdul Wahab Hamad reports from Gaza
00:13:11on how people are trying to make living near the yellow
00:13:14line. I am here in one the neighborhoods
00:13:18in eastern Gaza City. This area is very
00:13:21close to the Israeli military controlled areas. in
00:13:25Gaza known as yellow line there in the
00:13:28background that whole area is under full Israeli
00:13:32military control uh the yellow line
00:13:36determines how much of Gaza Palestinians here can
00:13:39actually live in. The problem is this
00:13:43line was supposed to stay frozen until full
00:13:47Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and
00:13:49until Donald Trump Gaza piece
00:13:53plan moves on. the second phase the
00:13:56plan uh moves on, nothing of that happened,
00:14:00Netanyahu has described the foot print as
00:14:0453% to 60% control over gaza, and
00:14:08now he is saying the next step is
00:14:1270% control over the Palestinian coastal
00:14:15enclave, this is naif, he lives in
00:14:19distant and has lost his home inside the Israeli
00:14:22military controlled areas. in the gaza strip known as the
00:14:26yellow line, living very close to the line
00:14:30determines how much he close and other families in
00:14:34this neighborhood close to their homes, to their schools
00:14:37inside those areas, moving the line
00:14:41on means this family has to
00:14:45move with it, bullets are
00:14:48everywhere, we feel threatened all the time, we can't even
00:14:52sleep at night because of fear, our lives.
00:15:11you can imagine what that means for families living in this
00:15:14neighborhood, they have been displaced many
00:15:18times again and again they set up their
00:15:22tens settle down and suddenly.
00:15:26They're told to move again.
00:15:29Negotiations over Trump's Gaza peace plan, the second
00:15:33phase remains deadlocked with.
00:15:37"this expansion the yellow line uh, this
00:15:41means that the areas Israel control is getting bigger with
00:15:45only one single fact, list is peace
00:15:49for Palestinians to
00:15:50live. Russia is
00:15:54continuing to attack Ukraine's energy facilities. That's despite the
00:15:57so-called energy cease fire declared by US President Donald Trump
00:16:01on Sunday. Russia has yet to comment on Trump's claim, but Ukrainian
00:16:05president Vuladimir Zelenski..." confirmed several gas facilities
00:16:09were hit since his ceasefire announcement. Or Hawkins has
00:16:13more.
00:16:17A grocery store in
00:16:18Kaquive.
00:16:24All what's left of it? The Russian missile killed three
00:16:28people. It's so hard to describe how a
00:16:31child was lying there already covered up and the father was running around
00:16:35her crying and screaming. It's so terrifying, it's impossible to
00:16:39get through something like this. The thermal power plant
00:16:431 km away was also hit. I think that record
00:16:47was also meant for the thermal power plant, but it hit civilians. There
00:16:51are no military facilities there at all, nothing. Seven
00:16:55and a half hours earlier, president Trump said both sides had agreed not to
00:16:59target energy
00:17:00infrastructure.
00:17:03Well, we want to believe this.
00:17:07energy facilities and there have already been five strikes.
00:17:11Ukraine says Russia has hit energy generating facilities more than
00:17:15200 times in the past week,
00:17:17as part of renewed campaign before
00:17:20winter. Neither country has confirmed any
00:17:23sort of deal to stop attacking power plants, but
00:17:27we are ready for energy seasfire. We
00:17:31are ready for any mutual format, anything that
00:17:35is not one-sided. Ukraine is scratching
00:17:39its head. President Trump only signed off on more Russian sanctions less
00:17:43than a month ago,
00:17:44now he's waving them with high diesel prices and mid-term elections around the
00:17:48corner. Washington has also reportedly threatened to reduce military
00:17:52and intelligence assistance if Ukraine continues striking Russian
00:17:56refineries. After some puzzling moves in recent
00:17:59days, Europe should stand up and act
00:18:02decisively. This must be a week
00:18:06of strengths. "he was speaking at an EU foreign
00:18:09minister's meeting where strength appears to mean more
00:18:13sanctions. He will lost the gloves to 1,600 assets
00:18:17and uh companies and persons, it's the largest list the European
00:18:21Union has done. It could make it harder and more expensive for Russia
00:18:25to make its weapons, but analysts caution that sanctions alone haven't
00:18:28stopped Russia so far. On Sunday, after initially
00:18:32criticizing the deal, Vladimir Zelensky had President Trump say it's time for
00:18:36Ukraine to have new..." tell putin give
00:18:40us two months 60 days of
00:18:44total sifire 60 days and we will organize
00:18:47elections. on Monday came the Russian
00:18:50rebuke. I do not think he deserves
00:18:54respite. We continue to achieve the goals the special military
00:18:57operation,
00:18:59some of which will be partly funded by American money as Trump seeks to
00:19:03achieve his goals in next month's mid-term elections. Paul
00:19:06Hawkins. TRT
00:19:08World: a Russian foreign
00:19:12minister Sergei Lavrov has slammed Zelenski saying he does not deserve
00:19:16a cease fire. He claims the Ukrainian leadia would use the break to
00:19:20reconstitute his military
00:19:21force. I do not
00:19:25believe he has earned the respite, nor do I think we
00:19:29will once again fall for assurances and promises. The president has
00:19:33stated this very clearly. We continue to achieve the objectives.
00:19:37the special military operation, these objectives are well-known
00:19:41to everyone and have never changed, unlike the
00:19:45zigzags and shifting winds of Zelensky and his European
00:19:49masters, therefore we have no need to justify
00:19:52ourselves to
00:19:54anyone. a British prime minister
00:19:58Andy Burnam has said, it is almost certain that Iran's
00:20:01revolutionary guard is behind a suspected pilot
00:20:05targeting the RAF fairford airbase. north of
00:20:08London. The incident occurred last month when several white vans carrying
00:20:12significant amounts of gasoline tried to enter the air base
00:20:15grounds. UK had authorized the US to use fairfood for
00:20:19defensive strikes against Iran. I can
00:20:23confirm our assessment that
00:20:25it is highly likely to have been coordinated in
00:20:29Iran, almost certainly directed by Iran's
00:20:33Islamic revolutionary guard. We will not tolerate these
00:20:36threats on our soil, we will crack down on Iran's use of
00:20:40criminal networks, using our full range of powers to target them
00:20:44and their funding
00:20:44streams.
00:20:48Iran's ambassador, denies any Iranian involvement in the
00:20:52suspected plot after being summoned over the incident. our correspondent Victoria
00:20:56Inness has more. when it comes to that incident
00:21:00which took place at Raf Fairford and at the time it was
00:21:03being seen as an extremely serious
00:21:07incident. It is perhaps the most detail we have had
00:21:11so far from the British government as to who was
00:21:14behind it. what we still don't know is what evidence if
00:21:18any uh they have at moment, what perhaps the
00:21:21motive uh was, we haven't had any of those details,
00:21:25it has been, it's fair to say a
00:21:29simply bizarre incident, we had of course there are a number of
00:21:32suspicious vehicles, we had seven
00:21:35people in total arrested, um, many them,
00:21:39some them on explosives and others on terror charges,
00:21:43um, they were later released on bail, no explosives, uh,
00:21:47no suspected terror plot um was found, "we had
00:21:50interventions from the US president, said he wouldn't uh
00:21:54have released them given what they know, but from the UK, in
00:21:58the last few weeks or so since that incident at the end of September, we
00:22:02have had not many details at all. police said just last week
00:22:06that the investigation was moving along well and that the public
00:22:10uh should be patient when it came to the reasons behind
00:22:14it, and then of course we had after a period um of
00:22:17pause in the British parliament for conference." season, this
00:22:21intervention by the prime minister Andy Burnham, in which he said that it is
00:22:25highly likely that this was coordinated by in
00:22:29Iran and highly likely by the Islamic Revolutionary
00:22:33guard. And thousands of people have marched
00:22:36towards India's Supreme Court as widespread protests over
00:22:40alleged electoral fraud continue to rock the country.
00:22:44Opposition parties and supporters the youth-led cockroach

00:23:04reports:
00:23:09it could be one the biggest political challenges India's government has
00:23:13faced in more than decade as new week brought a fresh wave
00:23:17of unrest. Despite security
00:23:21measures described as fortress-like in New Delhi, once
00:23:24again thousands of people marched through its
00:23:27streets. Leading them in the front
00:23:31left seat the bus and fresh from his own detention was opposition
00:23:35leader Rahul Gandhi, and people are seeing the Narendra
00:23:39Modi is blocking the whole town. He is putting 30,000,
00:23:4340,00 police officers outside, for what? Until the constitution
00:23:47is upheld, until the election commissioner. resigns,
00:23:51until the election system is revamped, until India gets
00:23:55justice, the youth of this country won't stop, do
00:23:59whatever you want. This march was headed
00:24:02to the Supreme Court to submit a petition calling for his
00:24:06impeachments. He is guilty, they say,
00:24:10of electoral fraud. Today, everything is
00:24:14in their hands, they have taken control of everything, and we're out on the
00:24:18streets fighting for those. dead for
00:24:21rights, voice, the voice the people.
00:24:25for protesters have been out almost daily this month. over the
00:24:29past three though, they say police have become more
00:24:33heavy-handed. thousands of people were
00:24:36detained. they've also been blocked from the city's
00:24:39biggest protest sites. they're now calling on the government to let
00:24:43them in, and if it doesn't, if you don't give us
00:24:47date in the next 24 hours. and we will be compelled to give another
00:24:51call for a protest and we will have no choice but to hit the
00:24:55streets. the electoral commission has denied
00:24:58favoring any party with the changes, saying deleted voters
00:25:02can reapply, while the ruling party has accused the
00:25:06opposition of trying to destabilize India and seize
00:25:09power. it is the prime minister silence though that
00:25:13many find defening. all while protesters
00:25:17vow to raise their voices even louder. not
00:25:20just in New Delhi, but across the country.

00:25:26World. In France,
00:25:30hundreds of supermarkets were hit by an unprecedented cyber attack that heated
00:25:34fridges and freezers up to 50 degrees
00:25:37celsius. Fires and large-scale food damage estimated to be
00:25:41worth millions of dollars has been reported and some the country's biggest
00:25:44supermarket chains were hit in, including Carfour. It said
00:25:4880 of its stores.
00:25:54We had experienced a cyber attack on our software, which
00:25:57unfortunately brought temperatures up to 80 degrees,
00:26:01which made some items... melt in terms of fresh items, don't
00:26:04bother going to our shop today, because we have to put it all
00:26:08in the rubbish, it's an enormous loss of products, it has
00:26:12affected six shops in the area, that's what we learned this
00:26:16morning. now peter
00:26:19allen has more on this from Paris, it's an
00:26:23absolutely extraordinary event, something that has
00:26:27captured the imagination the French consumer and of course
00:26:31very negative... way, I've just been getting lot of
00:26:35technical details about what happened through one the
00:26:39large supermarkets affected, and what actually
00:26:42happened was that hackers managed to get through to
00:26:46an old software program which um
00:26:50affected around
00:26:53400 supermarkets, that's a significant number,
00:26:57yes there are 15,000 odd supermarkets across
00:27:00France, but 400... including many here in
00:27:04central Paris being hit in this way is of course
00:27:08um something of huge concern. what i'm hearing is that it was
00:27:12a Danish company called Danny Foss
00:27:16which was regulating these temperatures independently
00:27:19remotely from outside the supermarkets and their old
00:27:23software they are arguing was uh
00:27:27affected by these hackers. they are saying they accusing the
00:27:31supermarket of not updating their software to prevent an
00:27:35attack like this, they're saying it's a security problem, they told the
00:27:38supermarket how to deal with it, because they feared attack like this,
00:27:42but the attack happened on Sunday, lot of managers came in on
00:27:46Monday morning and they found anything up to half their stock completely
00:27:50ruined, millions of dollars worth of food
00:27:54ruined. Of course, food security is huge issue
00:27:58for any modern society, any ancient society as well, but
00:28:01particularly now. when you have um uh fridges
00:28:05and freezers and the like which are so vulnerable to attack, these were
00:28:09vulnerable to attack and the hackers managed to get in, a
00:28:12prosecution has been launched, prosecutors are trying to find
00:28:16out who is behind all that, there is already
00:28:19suspicion that russians might uh be behind it, whenever there's a
00:28:23hacking incident here in France, they always blame the Russians, but of course they need the
00:28:27evidence to prove it, but huge huge concern here at the
00:28:31moment. Bangladesh is preparing
00:28:35to bring its first nuclear power plant online hoping
00:28:38ease persistent electricity shortages. The
00:28:42Russian-built project has brought jobs and investment, but years of
00:28:45delays and concerns among some nearby residents have tempered
00:28:49those expectations. Unis demorolu
00:28:52reports. Bangladesh
00:28:56is first nuclear power plant has yet to generate electricity,
00:29:00but in this nearby classroom, it's all ready sparking
00:29:03ambitions. My friends and I want to become
00:29:06scientists and we hope to work at the plant after graduating in nuclear
00:29:10engineering. The $13 billion dollar project promises
00:29:14major new reliable source of electricity for a country reliant on
00:29:18fossil fuels and struggling with frequent power cuts. Once fully
00:29:22operational, its two reactors are expected to meet more than 10% of
00:29:26national electricity demand, a significant input for a country of
00:29:29almost 180 million people. plant management says the first
00:29:33reactor is scheduled to start up by the end of this year. built with Russia
00:29:37State Nuclear Company Rosatom, the project has brought thousands of Russian
00:29:41workers and new business to the area, but the pandemic and sanctions on
00:29:45Russia have contributed to delays and for some neighbors
00:29:48anticipation is being tempered by
00:29:51concern. I am old now
00:29:54and I am not afraid for my own life, because I feel I
00:29:58am nearing the end of my life, but I worry about
00:30:02my children and grandchildren, i want them to be safe, they
00:30:06need safety more than do, plenty officials say
00:30:10stringent safeguards incorporate lessons from previous nuclear
00:30:13accidents, farmer shares some of her
00:30:17neighbors concerns, but power cuts make irrigating her land
00:30:21difficult, hope we get electricity for
00:30:2424 hours without
00:30:25interruption, the promise
00:30:29extends well beyond reliable. eletricity can keep factories
00:30:33running, farms irrigated and homes lit. After years of
00:30:37delays, the country is waiting for that to become part the reality of everyday
00:30:41life. Unis demirolu, TRT
00:30:43World. A state emergency has been
00:30:47declared in parts of Pakistan, as thousands there
00:30:51protest in support the jailed former Prime Minister.
