00:00:27Karol Nawrocki was sworn in as president, what is your assessment of these
00:00:3112 months? Well, it's not a good
00:00:33assessment, we can see it at gas stations, however,
00:00:37the vetoing of the law, completely incomprehensible, on excessive
00:00:40profits of fuel companies, concerns. Let's remember
00:00:44that these concerns charge a margin on fuel,
00:00:48if the fuel is more expensive, then this margin is, in total, net
00:00:51higher, therefore, it's difficult to
00:00:54understand this decision, it's difficult to understand the pardon of the old man,
00:00:57I'm sorry, he didn't veto, he just sent it to the tribunal...
00:01:08an act of grace, probably unworthy of a president, because
00:01:11pardoning someone for a stadium
00:01:14ban, well, soon, I don't know what he will
00:01:17pardon other people for,
00:01:21maybe for buying something wrong, that's a completely
00:01:24incomprehensible veto, especially for a person who is a stadium
00:01:27hooligan, was accused of beating a footballer, was accused
00:01:31of insulting people, that's a completely
00:01:34incomprehensible situation and a completely unserious situation for a president, but
00:01:38there are worse things than not taking
00:01:42the oath from the judges of the Constitutional Tribunal, legally
00:01:45elected by parliament, or
00:01:47for example, not appointing ambassadors
00:01:50of the Republic of Poland, this is already playing on the International
00:01:54Arena, and it is completely incomprehensible to veto
00:01:57the safe, we have today, for example, the
00:02:00case of drones over the airport in Lipsk, but we had a missile in Poland,
00:02:04we see that the threat to Poland and NATO is quite significant
00:02:08and vetoing this huge
00:02:10modernization program for the Polish army is completely
00:02:14incomprehensible by the President as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, let's add, but
00:02:18also several times the President vetoed the cryptocurrency
00:02:20law, well, yes, but this is overlaid
00:02:24by the fact, of course, that Zbigniew Ziobro received
00:02:27transfers to his foundation of about half
00:02:30a billion zlotys, half a million zlotys, I'm sorry, from
00:02:33cryptocurrencies, Zonda Crypto, or also one of the MPs
00:02:37of the Confederation, or also an event financed
00:02:40by this by Zonda
00:02:43Crypto during the campaign of the President, a completely
00:02:47incomprehensible situation, when the President does not care, on the one hand, about
00:02:50the security of foreign policy, about the defense security of Poland or
00:02:54about the financial security of our citizens, these are
00:02:58things that really cast a shadow on
00:03:01this, well, however, this
00:03:04year of his term, because vetoing over 40 laws is
00:03:08something completely abnormal, 41 exact laws
00:03:11the President vetoed and there is a poll, apropos
00:03:15of these vetoes, over 52%, almost
00:03:1953% of respondents believe that these vetoes
00:03:22result from political will, to
00:03:26whom does the President direct these vetoes or pardons?
00:03:30Of course, this is the fault of Tusk's government, Tusk's fault, who
00:03:33unlocked the KPO or started, for example, yesterday,
00:03:36the construction of a nuclear power plant, because the handover of the construction
00:03:40site or also the construction of ferries, which came true,
00:03:44the first of these ferries is already sailing, we remember we had
00:03:47styrofoam keels, the construction of offshore wind farms, from which
00:03:51the first electricity flows, or also
00:03:54causing the European Union to impose
00:03:57sanctions on Russia, the European Union...
00:04:00began to finance armaments, it reversed
00:04:04its priorities, this is the success of Prime Minister Donald
00:04:08Tusk's government, his personal position on the international arena, and it's a pity that
00:04:11the President cannot find, cannot
00:04:15rise above divisions in matters of Poland's security
00:04:19and foreign policy, this is completely incomprehensible, do you see
00:04:22a difference in the activities of President Andrzej Duda and
00:04:25President Karol Nawrocki? Well, of course I see
00:04:29a certain difference. But it's a difference like between
00:04:32Morawiecki and Kaczyński or Czarnik and Kaczyński
00:04:35and Morawiecki on the one
00:04:38hand, well, because here we also have PiS
00:04:42Bis and PiS, here we also have a president who destroyed
00:04:45the judiciary together with Ziobro, I'm talking about President Andrzej
00:04:49Duda, and now we have a president who doesn't want to
00:04:52rebuild it, I think that Mr. Kaczyński is still
00:04:56probably advising him in some way, or from overseas.
00:05:01And when you hear the President's spokesman say "hands off
00:05:05the President's prerogatives" to the rulers, what do you think? It's not about
00:05:09the rulers, it's about the citizens, citizens have the right to...
00:05:13know why the President takes certain actions, he is not
00:05:16the Sun King who doesn't have to explain anything to anyone,
00:05:20moreover, it didn't end well for the Sun King, but
00:05:24here there really
00:05:27cannot be a situation where the President takes some steps
00:05:31and no one knows about it, well,
00:05:34it led to the overthrow of the monarchy in France at some point, when
00:05:38the king behaved like that, and this president is not a king,
00:05:41the constitution applies,
00:05:44he was elected by citizens, let's remember, by a small
00:05:48majority of votes, we respect that choice, but we would like the
00:05:51President to also respect citizens and say why
00:05:55he pardoned, for example, the old man, he talks about his
00:05:59impeccable reputation in the environment, but in what environment? In
00:06:02an environment where they make stakes, well, that's probably not the best
00:06:06situation, also the lack of reaction from the President
00:06:09to attacks on... This is not the standard of politics
00:06:32and politics
00:06:35like from the West, however, a European
00:06:38politician, a politician. explains himself, even President
00:06:43Trump, who is probably a role model for President
00:06:46Nawrocki, explains some of his statements,
00:06:49explains his decisions, and that's what a press
00:06:52spokesman is for, let's remember, to explain
00:06:55the President's decisions, the President doesn't have to do it personally, but a press
00:06:59spokesman, if he is a professional, should do it,
00:07:01and Karol Nawrocki, in your opinion, is trying to break free on the
00:07:05right wing, I am convinced that he has already
00:07:08broken free. He probably listens to some
00:07:12hints from Mr. Braun or Mr. Kaczyński,
00:07:15but he definitely well, I don't want to say, because that's a very
00:07:19rude saying, that he broke free from the leash, but there is
00:07:22something to it, that Kaczyński lost him
00:07:25just as he lost the ability to control Morawiecki, so
00:07:29he probably also lost the ability to control Karol
00:07:33Nawrocki, although certainly PiS and
00:07:36the Confederation, especially the Polish Crown, are close to the heart of the
00:07:40President, so since we are already talking about Jarosław Kaczyński and Mateusz
00:07:44Morawiecki, let's first talk about Law and Justice, which lost
00:07:4775% of its subsidy, because
00:07:50they incorrectly used funds in the election campaign in
00:07:542025, which means PiS is
00:07:57weakened by the lack of funds
00:08:01and resources, let's say that "incorrectly" is, Mr.
00:08:04Editor, very delicately put, I would say that they stole public
00:08:07funds, because if there were fictitious persons employed...
00:08:11these people worked for the election campaign or money was spent on people
00:08:20who were, well, wronged, meaning from the justice
00:08:24fund for the election campaign, or also
00:08:27picnics for the army were organized for the election
00:08:31campaign, as stated by the PKW, well, that's not just
00:08:34improper spending, it's also stealing our public
00:08:38funds, and that's why... they were punished
00:08:41by not receiving those next
00:08:45public funds, here we are constantly talking about public
00:08:48funds and just as the President should be transparent,
00:08:52so should every political party be transparent, here
00:08:55unfortunately Ziobro or other people from
00:08:58Mr. Kaczyński's entourage simply robbed us as
00:09:02a society, I will quote Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who
00:09:05commented on the court's verdict, "There is no money for swindlers,
00:09:09and there will be none."
00:09:12Sir, they were swindlers, besides, we see that
00:09:16two politicians are exiles, that is Mr. Ziobro and Mr.
00:09:19Romanowski, because they fled abroad, we also have
00:09:23the head of RaRS who fled to London and has no
00:09:26intention of returning, we also have Mr.
00:09:29the head of the Zonda Crypto platform, who also
00:09:32fled abroad, these are all people associated with Law and
00:09:36Justice, or the deputy head of Law and Justice, as in this
00:09:39case, Mr. Ziobro. Let's just remind you that the issue of subsidies for
00:09:43PiS began in 2024,
00:09:47because the National Electoral Commission then rejected the party's financial report
00:09:50from the parliamentary elections in 2023, and
00:09:54then these irregularities in the spending of campaign
00:09:57funds amounted to over 3.5 million zlotys, but
00:09:59if Law and Justice was weakened by
00:10:03finances or by its
00:10:06decisions during the election campaign, then
00:10:09now it has been weakened by its
00:10:12party member, Mateusz Morawiecki, who
00:10:16decided to divide the party into two
00:10:20parts. Well, on the one hand, one cannot blame Prime Minister Morawiecki's
00:10:23circle for not wanting to be with people like Kurski, Ziobro, or
00:10:27Matecki in one party, but on the
00:10:30other hand, let's see that we are dealing with PiS and PiS
00:10:34Bis, because Prime Minister Morawiecki, being prime minister, something
00:10:38he probably wanted to forget a bit, still
00:10:41signed off on laws destroying the judiciary, however,
00:10:44well, he was responsible for people like Święczkowski,
00:10:48like Pawłowicz, or like the former
00:10:51prosecutor ending up in
00:10:55the Constitutional Tribunal, he was responsible for
00:10:58the destruction of the National Council of the Judiciary, let's also
00:11:01remember that Prime Minister Morawiecki was famous for the famous
00:11:05styrofoam keel for ferries, now these
00:11:08ferries are, however, being
00:11:10built in the shipyard in Gdańsk, Prime
00:11:14Minister Morawiecki was famous for the famous car, I'm sorry,
00:11:18Izera or also the alleged
00:11:20construction of the CPK, the CPK was actually styrofoam.
00:11:26At present, Poland is being built, high-speed railways are being built,
00:11:29new counties are being reached by railways, we had the opening of
00:11:32railways in Łomża, soon it will be in Nowy Dwór or Bytów in
00:11:36Pomerania, we have however, the handover
00:11:39of the power plant construction
00:11:43site for the nuclear power plant, or also money
00:11:46flowed from offshore wind farms, by the way, the government of Prime Minister
00:11:50Donald Tusk started this, well, also the ministry where I work
00:11:53coordinates all ministries in spending funds from
00:11:57the KPO, at present 96.5% of these funds have been
00:12:01contracted, this is almost 240 billion
00:12:04zlotys, which will be pumped into the Polish economy, I had
00:12:08the opportunity yesterday to be, for example, in a hospital in Płock, it's a very small
00:12:11hospital, there new equipment for
00:12:14the cardiology department, or also previously a hospital in
00:12:17Malbork, we are not talking about large hospitals in
00:12:20agglomerations, we are talking about a hospital in Dzierżążno or in
00:12:24Starogard Gdański in Chojnice, of course also these hospitals in
00:12:27Tri-City or Warsaw, but these are, this is 18
00:12:31billion zlotys for healthcare, for digitalization, for
00:12:34cardiology, for oncology, these are huge amounts of money precisely for
00:12:37offshore wind farms, for railway lines, new train sets, really more and more
00:12:41it is clear how much the KPO and EU funds have worked in
00:12:45Poland and how well they are creating, because it is said that
00:12:48the KPO will mean a plus of 1.5% of GDP more in
00:12:51Poland, these are things that this government has achieved.
00:12:55despite the obstacles thrown at its feet, and Mr. Morawiecki
00:12:58simply could not do it, now he tries to be better, well, I
00:13:01am not surprised that he doesn't want to have anything to do with this xenophobic
00:13:05far-right, but on the other hand, it would be good if
00:13:09he didn't say that we gave Ukraine
00:13:19works in the department concerning changes to the pension
00:13:22law, because Katarzyna Pełczyńska (Minister of Funds
00:13:26says she would like childless women to work 5
00:13:30years longer than mothers, meaning equalizing the retirement age with
00:13:33men for women who do not have children. I understand that this
00:13:37is not a decision that comes from
00:13:39my department, which I have the honor to work in, which coordinates funds from
00:13:43the KPO or coordinates the spending of EU funds also by the marshals
00:13:46of the voivodeships, that is my responsibility, I understand that this is
00:13:49an initiative of Poland 2050, here as a politician of the Civic
00:13:53Coalition, I believe that this is a very bad decision,
00:13:57punishing anyone for, for example, not being able to have children or for the lack
00:14:00of an in vitro program, at present we have restored this in vitro
00:14:03program, of course we should support those
00:14:07who have children, we should support mothers who
00:14:10have given birth to children and are returning
00:14:13to work, let's remember that we introduced the so-called
00:14:16"granny-care" or "grandpa-care", as some prefer, meaning money for
00:14:20those from the family who sometimes take care of children, or
00:14:23also restored in vitro, but really punishing
00:14:27anyone for not being able to have children or not having
00:14:30children, for some people it is a tragedy that they cannot
00:14:34have children, which, for example, PiS did not understand, here
00:14:36it is difficult for us to adopt the rhetoric of PiS, which
00:14:40violates women's rights, violated human rights, which
00:14:43often denied the in vitro program to poor Poles,
00:14:46for whom it was a tragedy not to be able to have children, so I understand that the Civic Coalition will not support
00:14:50such a project by Poland 2050.
00:14:53We have not had such a discussion in the club, but
00:14:57as I feel what my friends and
00:15:00my, well, comrades, as I would say, in my
00:15:04group and in the vicinity, we will absolutely not support
00:15:07such an idea, because we want to support young marriages,
00:15:11for example, with a huge housing construction program, this
00:15:14year there is over 4 billion zlotys for housing
00:15:17construction, these are SIMs, also these are TBSs, these are communal
00:15:21apartments and it is worth giving these young people also a nursery program.
00:15:25KPO is building nurseries in many communes, where it was excluded and we need
00:15:28to support this birth rate, not punish someone for, for example, not being able to have
00:15:32children or perhaps making a mistake by not having
00:15:56the tragic statistics concerning drownings, this unfortunately.
