00:07:09lower VAT to 22%.

00:08:56and is more a representative of the state than an administrator,
00:08:59because that role belongs to the Council

00:09:05with the Council of Ministers,
00:09:09the president has a chance to implement some projects.
00:09:12However, by taking a confrontational stance, he limits
00:09:16his capabilities. But that doesn't mean he has no possibilities, because
00:09:19by proposing initiatives, sometimes
00:09:22vetoing, he can engage in a delicate
00:09:26policy of concessions and
00:09:28proactive steps. But if
00:09:32we look closely at the president's actions, there
00:09:36were more vetoed laws than those he
00:09:39initiated himself. Regarding the vetoed ones, there
00:09:42are definitely many more of them. Well, but yes,
00:09:46tax breaks were announced, a minimum of 150
00:09:49PLN for pension indexation, but also the construction of CPK in the version
00:09:53proposed years ago by Law and Justice. Well, this is all
00:09:56what Karol Nawrocki, now
00:09:59president, announced. And
00:10:02well, what of these things actually
00:10:05succeeded, what came into force, what
00:10:08began to apply, which promises were fulfilled?
00:10:13In principle, regarding tax matters, by
00:10:17vetoing government bills, he to some
00:10:20extent fulfilled his declarations and promises. However,
00:10:24regarding one of those promises that appeared in
00:10:28the program, namely lowering the VAT tax, it seems
00:10:31that the president, then presidential candidate
00:10:35Karol Nawrocki said that on the first day of his presidency he would present
00:10:38such an initiative. In a year, he did not manage to do it.
00:10:42Tax issues, here it succeeded, then
00:10:45what else, where else are those
00:10:48points where, well, we can
00:10:52notice these fulfilled things.
00:11:25forgets that this policy was also shaped by previous governments, it is not
00:11:28that everything started in 2023 and now the president has to
00:11:32face it, after all these matters I spoke about, i.e. migration
00:11:36policy, climate policy issues, the Green Deal,
00:11:39especially, these were issues negotiated by
00:11:42the Morawiecki government and a compromise worked out
00:11:45between the Polish governmental administration
00:11:49and the EU administration.
00:11:52Well, precisely regarding the European Union, here
00:11:56these questions also arise, because we have
00:11:58these related promises, several, denouncing
00:12:02the migration pact, the Green Deal and the ETS system, and regarding
00:12:06these diplomatic, foreign successes of
00:12:09the president, what was actually achieved, and what, where were
00:12:13there some attempts, and where did those attempts not make sense at all and from
00:12:17the beginning these promises were empty?
00:12:20In foreign policy, the president clearly points to his
00:12:24main... target of actions, which is Washington, President
00:12:28Trump, the problem is that it is also a matter of one
00:12:32politician, Trump's term will end someday, besides, he does not have good
00:12:35ratings among Americans now, we will see how the
00:12:39autumn elections to Congress go there, however, as
00:12:42for Brussels, it seems that as head of state, Karol
00:12:46Nawrocki did not visit the capital of the European
00:12:49Union at all, he was still a candidate,
00:12:53he met with the Prime Minister.

00:15:02the National Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against five
00:15:05people, including four Ukrainians. All are said to
00:15:09belong to an organized criminal group committing acts of
