00:00:00no, well, over 100 PLN lower than
00:00:02a man's, a man's average pension.
00:00:06at this moment, by introducing
00:00:09such an instrument as a widow's pension, it allows
00:00:12or enables additional income.
00:00:16Of course, not every senior
00:00:19can apply for a widow's pension. The most important criterion is
00:00:23the amount of both benefits, which cannot exceed
00:00:26three times the lowest pension. The lowest
00:00:29pension is over 1978
00:00:32PLN gross, so the upper limit is a little over
00:00:355935
00:00:37PLN gross per month. If the sum of benefits exceeds this threshold,
00:00:41the payment will be reduced by the amount by which the limit was exceeded.
00:00:45A senior who has not previously applied for a widow's pension must submit
00:00:49an appropriate application to ZUS. The application can be submitted either
00:00:52in the traditional paper version at customer service offices,
00:00:56which I strongly encourage you to do, if any questions arise regarding
00:01:00the application, the employees of the Social Insurance Institution will immediately
00:01:04help to fill out such an application, it can be sent
00:01:07by post and submitted electronically. ZUS
00:01:10encourages the use of two
00:01:12received only the motherboard, and tools that can be found on the website www.zus.pl.
00:01:16The first is a questionnaire with a few simple questions: it
00:01:20dollars. We estimate that it will fetch a price of asks about gender, date of birth, age of widowhood and thanks to such
00:01:24a questionnaire we will not have to come to ZUS and
00:01:27ask an employee whether such a benefit is due or not,
00:01:31such a questionnaire will allow us to answer this question. On the website
00:01:34ZUS.pl there is also a calculator that will help choose the most favorable
00:01:38option for us for a widow's pension.
00:01:41Before we go to the website, let's check whether we meet the conditions to
00:01:44apply for a widow's pension. First of all, we must have reached the universal
00:01:48retirement age, i.e. 60 years for women and 65
00:01:52years for men. We can acquire the right to a family pension not
00:01:55earlier than after reaching the age of 55 in the case
00:01:59of women, and 60 years in the case of men. At the time
00:02:02of death, we must be in marital communion with the deceased person
00:02:06and not enter into a new
00:02:09marriage, because a widow's pension is granted only
00:02:12after the last spouse. Applications for a widow's pension are available
00:02:16at ZUS offices and on the website www.zus.pl.
00:02:19Online applications can also be submitted on the
00:02:22puezus platform.
00:02:27when we plan to buy an apartment, we realize that
00:02:30there is a shortage of apartments and they are usually very expensive, but
00:02:34this situation may change, because demography will affect
00:02:37the real estate market, this will not affect large cities, but it will very
00:02:41often already be visible in smaller centers, how will this
00:02:45look in the coming years, how will prices develop,
00:02:48let's check,
00:02:53what can determine the prices and availability of apartments in
00:02:5710 or 15 years, according to analysts,
00:03:1855th year of the last century,
00:03:21almost 70% of people have something of their own,
00:03:24their own property, so it's a huge resource that
00:03:28will go and must '
00:03:31the way we buy and sell apartments
00:03:34will also change the offer. Demography is inexorable, there will be
00:03:38more seniors who own one or more already furnished
00:03:41apartments that will go to the secondary market. Developers may be
00:03:45forced to sell not just raw apartments,
00:03:49but to compete with apartments entering the secondary
00:03:53market, these will already be apartments furnished at least in a basic
00:03:56way, and this will be the new developer standard.
00:04:00Buyers of new apartments can benefit from this, because the developer standard
00:04:04will not necessarily mean bare concrete plaster screeds
00:04:07instead of floors? how many apartments will enter the secondary market?
00:04:11Approximately 400,000 people die annually,
00:04:15half of that are born.
00:04:17Therefore, if of these
00:04:21400,000 dying people, at least
00:04:23half owned their own property, then these properties
00:04:27after five years, after inheritance proceedings...
00:04:30enter the secondary market, and
00:04:33considering year to year, in 10 years, several hundred
00:04:37thousand apartments will be in circulation on the secondary market.
00:04:40The demographic crisis may also cause stratification among
00:04:44potential buyers, because people who will
00:04:48inherit apartments from their parents or grandparents will appear on the market, perhaps they will not
00:04:52use a mortgage or cash at all, they will simply have a property
00:04:56that they can use to satisfy their own housing needs, or monetize it.
00:05:02will find themselves in a different situation on the market as a buyer who will take out some small loan in order to change
00:05:05their location or standard. There will also be people who were not so
00:05:09lucky as to inherit apartments as an inheritance. These will be
00:05:13condemned to take out loans or to rent, will
00:05:16demography influence price reductions?
00:05:19Certainly there will be regional changes visible
00:05:23in such a way that in small towns, where this
00:05:26demography is even more distorted in the sense that fewer
00:05:29and fewer people are born there, and more and more leave, I would
00:05:33say, from these towns to larger towns, well,
00:05:37there may even be something like a very
00:05:40significant drop in prices. It is estimated that even 100, 120
00:05:44thousand apartments or housing units
00:05:47unfortunately resulting from inheritance,
00:05:49this will not cause any changes in large cities,
00:05:53that we would notice here. In
00:05:56localities offering attractive employment and studies, apartments
00:06:00may even become more expensive. Most often, apartments in large cities
00:06:03were built in the system of the so-called large panel, they may not be very
00:06:07large, but they have a very good location in city centers
00:06:11or near them.
00:06:42more and more actions aimed at disposing of property during
00:06:46one's lifetime,
00:06:49fewer life annuity agreements appear, probably because they are
00:06:52subject to tax on civil law transactions. A senior who
00:06:55decides to donate an apartment has several
00:06:58options: he can do it by a deed of gift, by
00:07:02will or a life annuity agreement. Each of these
00:07:06options is worth discussing in the family circle, and also
00:07:09seeking advice, for example, from a notary.
00:07:16They have many years of experience, are loyal and
00:07:19can contribute a lot to the company.
00:07:22Employees over 50, despite this, have serious problems
00:07:26finding new work. Why is this happening? Why are companies
00:07:29reluctant to employ employees over 50 and can
00:07:33this change? We decided to look for answers to
00:07:36these questions.
00:07:42information stresses everyone, regardless of education, professional
00:07:46achievements or age, but in the case of older people, there is
00:07:50additional stress, because according to experts, anyone who has already turned 50
00:07:54has less chance of finding a job. The Polish Economic
00:07:58Institute conducted an experiment where they sent CVs
00:08:01of people over 50 and CVs of younger people, these were
00:08:05very similar experiences, qualifications, but
00:08:08there was less response to the application
00:08:11of an older person, over 50 years old, which
00:08:15indicates, however, that
00:08:17they may encounter discrimination in the Polish
00:08:21labor market. The experiment involved people aged 28
00:08:25and 52 years. Older candidates received on average
00:08:29half fewer invitations to interviews than
00:08:3228-year-olds. The last 30 years and these
00:08:35negative changes in terms of the aging of
00:08:38society, the decreasing number of people of working
00:08:41age, we will truly feel them only after some time,
00:08:45and then it should become
00:08:48increasingly clear to employers that employing people
00:08:52over 50 is already a necessity, not
00:08:55an option. However, the situation of the so-called silvers, i.e. people
00:08:59over 50 years of age, is not easy. Employers
00:09:02would most gladly employ 30-year-olds with many years
00:09:06of experience, but there are few such people on the market. Research shows
00:09:09that people over 50 years of age search for work
00:09:16about 6 months longer than younger people, and nine out of ten job applications from silvers remain unanswered.
00:09:19So what advice can be given to such people who
00:09:22are looking for work? First of all, to stay calm, that
00:09:26is the hardest part, that helps the most in the whole job
00:09:30search process. The good news is that there is still a shortage of
00:09:33vacancies on the Polish market. The last
00:09:37quarter of 2026 ended with a hundred thousand open
00:09:41vacancies, as you can see.
00:09:58The best recruitment option is to act through people who know us from our professional lives, former colleagues, clients, cooperators,
00:10:02these are people who had the opportunity to get to know us, to see what
00:10:05we are capable of, what our quality is, for them we will not be an anonymous person from a
00:10:09CV, but we will be a person
00:10:13who, in some sense, has proven themselves, even when searching for a job, it is worth ensuring a
00:10:17well-written CV, if someone has not changed jobs for
00:10:20several years, it is worth finding out what should be included in it.
00:10:23Let's enter modern job titles,
00:10:27even if they differ slightly from those we actually held,
00:10:31but describe what we actually did, then let them be more
00:10:34up-to-date, let's use these words, these phrases,
00:10:37keywords that appear in the advertisement,
00:10:40of course, if they are relevant to our experience, consider
00:10:44which of our professional experiences are
00:10:47most appropriate for this position, most related
00:10:51to it and focus on these above all. In large
00:10:54companies, the initial recruitment of submitted applications is carried out by
00:10:58computer systems cooperating with artificial
00:11:01intelligence, so it is better to include
00:11:04short information in our CV and focus on the most important ones, showing our
00:11:08professional path from the last 10, 15 years. First
00:11:11of all, emphasize your professional experience, if
00:11:15you have it, or other advantages related to
00:11:18qualifications, skills,
00:11:21openness to teamwork, to the fact that
00:11:25such a person wants to educate themselves,
00:11:27wants to acquire knowledge, to learn
00:11:30the secrets of this new job. When we have already
00:11:34passed the first stage, we have an invitation to an interview, let's prepare
00:11:37well for it, because there will be no second chance. It is worth
00:11:41learning as much as possible about the potential employer and their
00:11:44expectations, about the position they are recruiting for, to
00:11:48show that we are truly interested and
00:11:51have prepared ourselves. Consider which of ours are
00:11:56most suitable for this position, most closely
00:12:00related to it, and focus on those above all.
00:12:04A skill worth presenting is flexibility in thinking,
00:12:07the ability to adapt, to adjust to new conditions,
00:12:11to take into account the employer's expectations, not just my
00:12:14knowledge acquired a few years ago. I think
00:12:17employers avoid people who know everything better. When
00:12:21we talk to our potential employer, remember that we were invited
00:12:24to the team, but for example, I increased
00:12:27sales by 18%. Let's also talk about transformational experiences.
00:12:44Today, employers are looking for people who have made
00:12:48changes. Most companies are in permanent change, and this will not
00:12:51change for a very long time. This change may concern our qualifications.
00:13:11the center, to find out what is needed in it, and as a person
00:13:14who already sees it quite clearly, to find a place for myself
00:13:18in such an organization that would better suit my expectations. During the interview,
00:13:22it is not worth hiding exch-
00:13:35The exchange of knowledge and experience can bring success, so emphasizing teamwork, it's
00:13:39not about wanting to take someone's position, but
00:13:42to be that complement, support for the good of
00:13:46the company, for the implementation of the company's goals. I think
00:13:49the main value of people of that age is
00:13:53extensive experience, and from that... experience also often comes intuition, such
00:13:57professional intuition, artificial intelligence does not
00:13:59have this, because it is trained on general
00:14:03data, it does not know the specifics of a given
00:14:06workplace, a given company, a given position. Will the labor
00:14:10market ever need an employee over 50 years
00:14:14old? We don't know that, but the growing influence of artificial
00:14:17intelligence, which is based only on previously collected data, gives
00:14:21hope that people who think independently, experienced, who want
00:14:24to develop and teach younger people, will be
00:14:28very needed.
00:14:33In the Portfolio of Kowalski program, we also take you on an international journey. So it's time for
00:14:36a review of the most interesting, in our opinion, economic events from
00:14:39around the world.
00:14:44Inflation is hitting Germans in the pockets and increasingly affecting
00:14:48their decisions at the ballot box. Rising
00:14:51electricity, heating and fuel bills are making voters
00:14:55increasingly attentive to politicians' promises:
00:14:58politicians must finally address the problems of people here in the country,
00:15:02they cannot constantly focus solely on great world politics,
00:15:06they must also solve problems that directly affect ordinary
00:15:09people. Berlin residents admit that high bills and fuel
00:15:13prices played a role in voting in recent regional
00:15:16elections.
00:15:19No party has really managed to lower energy
00:15:22prices. We've already tried the SPD.
00:15:56Germans are being exploited by the far-right Alternative for Germany, which
00:16:00is gaining popularity. The government is trying to save the situation with
00:16:03petrol price cuts, but Chancellor Merkel's party already has a
00:16:18historical defeat in regional elections behind it. It once cost several hundred dollars, today it is worth a fortune. One of the first Apple computers went up for auction,
00:16:21collectors can pay even
00:16:24800,000 dollars for it. This
00:16:27copy is particularly unique because the motherboard
00:16:30bears the signature of Steve Wozniak, and the computer
00:16:34includes a letter signed by Steve Jobs.
00:16:38The computer was bought in 1976
00:16:41by Fred Hatfield, when Apple was just beginning to conquer
00:16:44the market, it had no casing or monitor, the customer actually
00:16:50had to buy the rest.
00:16:52When Apple introduced it to the market, it cost
00:16:55666
00:16:58500 to 800
00:17:01thousand dollars at auction. To this day, fewer than
00:17:0475 confirmed copies have survived.
00:17:08and only some
00:17:09still work.
00:17:13Cuba says goodbye to food rationing cards. After decades
00:17:17of operation, state stores where Cubans could buy basic
00:17:20products at subsidized prices are gradually being replaced
00:17:24by new private neighborhood stores.
00:17:28I am 82 years old and my pension is 300
00:17:31pesos, which is less than 4 dollars. Imagine that
00:17:35I come here to shop, I could buy a bottle of oil, that's
00:17:38all. Cuba has been struggling with an economic crisis,
00:17:42food shortages and a decline in the value of money for years. New stores
00:17:45are supposed to improve supply, but with the end of state subsidies,
00:17:49basic purchases may become an even greater burden for
00:17:52residents.
00:17:55I wouldn't say it's cheaper here, it's just a little
00:17:58less expensive. Even if those stores were old and
00:18:02neglected, they were close to home, and the prices were
00:18:05affordable.
00:18:49Ecologists demand a halt to work and verification of whether the investment is
00:18:52compliant with the law. Residents, however, primarily look at the
00:18:56benefits, counting on new jobs, development of local
00:18:59businesses and money, which was previously lacking in the small
00:19:02municipality.
00:19:07its scale, but I am positive.
00:19:09There is still the issue of electricity: data
00:19:13centers consume huge amounts of energy, so there are
00:19:17concerns about its future prices. However, the authorities of Muchos assure
00:19:21that the investment will completely change the future of the town
00:19:24and the entire
00:19:25region.

00:21:43pharmacist.
00:22:11talk about what hot topics this Sejm session brought us, and it brought a lot,
00:22:15usually on Friday at this time we have votes, just like we had during our last
00:22:18Sejmograf, when a Deputy Speaker of the Sejm was elected, but this
00:22:22time the votes were moved to Thursday evening, that is yesterday,
00:22:25and indeed many laws were adopted, including the one that causes
00:22:29the most emotions, namely the law on blocking content on
00:22:32the Internet, it causes emotions because
00:22:35what happened happened, what we are all talking about in Poland, namely
00:22:38stabbings in schools,
00:22:42and the question is, what to do, and the
00:22:45government claims that first and foremost the source of this
00:22:49problem... is in the Internet in content that is uncontrolled,
00:22:52that cannot be blocked, there is no
00:22:55appeal procedure for such
00:22:59content and in the network it's really a free for all, and it falls on
00:23:02the fertile ground of children who may then organize
00:23:06such challenges, let's do a challenge and go to school
00:23:09with a knife, well, exactly, that's why this draft law only appeared
00:23:13in this Sejm so suddenly, because it was really
00:23:17somewhere from the morning it was
00:23:20reversed, yes, in the morning it wasn't there yet, then
00:23:24it was quick, well, there was that government meeting, and they decided that this should be, as we well know,
00:23:28as we are talking here, how everyone let's start maybe with the fact that everyone is talking about it,
00:23:31everyone is talking about what to do with children today, you know well,
00:23:35Kuba, you also know, as we talked to each other, we hear it on the street, we hear it in
00:23:39the shop, we hear it on the bus, on the tram, how it affects our own
00:23:42children, they are afraid to go to school today, yes, today there is that
00:23:46fear somewhere in people, in everyone who wonders what might
00:23:50happen, if children send each other strange SMS messages with
00:23:53names of cities where some tragedy might occur, it
00:23:56shows how enormous a force the Internet is today,
00:23:59how enormous a force the Internet can be in spreading panic,
00:24:03but also how enormous a force the Internet
00:24:06can be in instigating people,
00:24:09young people, unformed
00:24:13people, susceptible to some influences, to commit the greatest
00:24:17folly of their lives. To go to
00:24:21school with a knife, to kill someone, that is something
00:24:24unimaginable, but it is happening, that's why today everyone is really
00:24:28talking about it, that's why there is a law, that's why all this is happening, and
00:24:31that's why I'm surprised that there is no political
00:24:34unity in the Sejm to say, yes, let's stop this wave,
00:24:38let's build a dam, there isn't, because as always there is division, well, and
00:24:42here perhaps let's present to our viewers, because there was such a
00:24:45discussion, a back and forth
00:24:49yesterday, first the prime minister started,
00:24:52then we had Minister Bogucki, who explained why, because
00:24:56there was already a draft in January,
00:24:59to block harmful content on the internet,
00:25:03the president did not sign it then, we will tell you a little about
00:25:06the behind-the-scenes of this non-signing, but first
00:25:09the prime minister,
00:25:13the state must have tools, I am very
00:25:16moved today, because... we
00:25:20prepared such
00:25:22a law several
00:25:25months ago, I know, it always sounds so formal
00:25:28and boring, but believe me, it was a very necessary
00:25:32law, thanks to which we as a
00:25:34state could immediately block such
00:25:38content on the internet whose
00:25:41harmfulness, could even be the source of crimes,
00:25:45was not in doubt. To this day, I don't know why the president
00:25:48also vetoed this law, moreover, using the
00:25:52misleading slogan of
00:25:55freedom of speech, freedom on the internet, and we know
00:25:58that many radicals from the MAGA movement have
00:26:02such views, meaning that every obscenity,
00:26:05every violence, every atrocity can be unpunished
00:26:08and freely promoted on the internet, because the
00:26:12state should not interfere,
00:26:15the state should interfere where there is a threat, especially to children,
00:26:18to the youngest, to the
00:26:20helpless.
00:26:25Ladies and gentlemen, and now a few words about why this law was vetoed in January,
00:26:29of course we hear a lot about freedom of speech, about
00:26:32not introducing censorship on the internet, this type of argument
00:26:36always appears, it is a misleading argument, we will tell you right away
00:26:39that in fact it was about two circles, that is, on the one
00:26:43hand, the president still cares about the votes of the confederation, that is, he is largely
00:26:46a confederate president, as far as his
00:26:50views are concerned, as far as the laws he signs or does not sign are concerned, that was
00:26:54one thing, that is, the environment of both the confederation, the environment of
00:26:57Braunists, to whom the president also winks, this is an environment
00:27:01that very highly... values so-called freedom on the network, and listen,
00:27:05you can also see what this confederate environment actually publishes on this network,
00:27:08we recently had the word of Mira Mensen, who was criticizing
00:27:10policewomen, we have Berkowicz, who insulted
00:27:14our colleague in a way, there is such a
00:27:17permission to speak simply
00:27:19strongly, brutally and somewhat
00:27:23inhumanly sometimes, about some people, I think it's
00:27:27more, more than permission, it is, it is
00:27:30even putting them on a pedestal, that's what
00:27:33the right-wing really bases itself on,
00:27:36that all the things that are, it seems to me, from my point of
00:27:40view, they seem vile, evil, and negative, for them they become
00:27:43cool, super
00:27:46let's publish it, let's show it, listen, if today I
00:27:49see that Mr. Pit Hekset informs,
00:27:53here we have Mr. Hekset's entry, I mean an entry about Mr. Hekset.
