Real GDP for 2026 Q1 came in at +2.1% SAAR, a meaningful recovery from Q4's +0.5%, but that print predates two weeks of active US-Iran strikes and does not capture the supply-chain and energy-cost pass-through that would show in Q2 data. The gap between futures euphoria this morning and the underlying flow data is the trade.
