00:01:38Hello, viewer, my name is Igor Tur, this is my propaganda.
00:01:41Let's begin! Last week was marked primarily
00:01:44by the participation of Alexander Lukashenka in the Shanghai
00:01:48Cooperation Organization summit, but today I want to start the program
00:01:51with something else, with school. At the end of August, like thousands
00:01:55of other parents across the country, I was at a parent-teacher meeting before
00:01:59the start of the academic year, at which the director announced a new
00:02:03regulation, according to Council of Ministers Resolution
00:02:06No. 307 on the implementation of security activities at the
00:02:10school entrance, a selective inspection of students' personal
00:02:14belongings will be organized by employees of the Department of Protection
00:02:17of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 80% of the assembly
00:02:20hall calmly continued to listen, the rest began to whisper
00:02:24among themselves and to themselves, and despite the fact that little
00:02:28could be heard, besides gestures, it was highly likely
00:02:31to assume that something like: "What is this happening for? Why
00:02:34are they doing this? Do they have the right? Why should we tolerate this?" and
00:02:38so on was being said. If these
00:02:41whisperers had distracted themselves from this process and
00:02:44listened further, they would have learned that nothing fundamentally new had
00:02:48happened. Inspections were possible before, but from September 1st
00:02:52of this year, according to regulations, it must take place in the presence of a duty
00:02:55teacher, whereas before, if a policeman had reasonable
00:02:59suspicions, he could still search the student, but in the presence
00:03:03of the child's legal representatives. That is, it was necessary to call
00:03:06the father or mother to school so that their son or daughter could show
00:03:10their backpack. This objective, insurmountable
00:03:13obstacle led to the fact that in practice there were almost no
00:03:16inspections, although I emphasize again that the Ministry of Internal Affairs had
00:03:20this right previously. I am wholeheartedly
00:03:23in favor of the new regulation, just as I was categorically in favor of the ban on mobile phones in
00:03:27schools, introduced a year ago. Then too, there was whispering. They argued
00:03:30openly with the director, indignant, what would happen if a child really needed
00:03:34to call, and where would the phones be stored and wouldn't they be stolen,
00:03:38and generally, why change anything if, from
00:03:42the point of view of some parents, everything is already fine? I
00:03:46like to rely on personal experience. In 2004, one
00:03:49of my classmates got a top-of-the-line flip phone with a memory
00:03:53card and a bunch of games on it. In the company of ninth-graders,
00:03:57mathematics, languages, chemistry with biology, geography, and all
00:04:00the rest were sent far away, because at the back desks
00:04:04we were always playing Worms, which was the number one game
00:04:07back then. I more than admit that this very fact was one of
00:04:11the reasons why some of that company did not go to
00:04:14university, failing their entrance exams, did not get the profession
00:04:17they dreamed of, and did not become successful and happy
00:04:21in life, so there's no place for smartphones in school.
00:04:24It seems to me there's nothing to discuss about that. As for the
00:04:27new regulations on searches, I still remember what I used to bring to school,
00:04:31despite being a good student and not a hooligan. Now my parents will probably be surprised, but
00:04:35what can I do? Dad, Mom, hello to you. At different
00:04:38times, I brought a small knife, a bigger knife, a folding pocket
00:04:42knife, a butterfly knife to school, because it was especially fashionable then. Also
00:04:46at different times, in my backpack, I had brass knuckles, a gas
00:04:49canister found somewhere, and around New Year's, the small pocket of my backpack was always
00:04:53stuffed with firecrackers, for which, of course, a lighter
00:04:57was needed, and I always had that too. This is of course not
00:05:00normal and should not be, especially today. Current
00:05:04children seem to have it harder than us, because their heads
00:05:08are overloaded with the internet, where they are constantly present. They can
00:05:11read something unintelligible, listen to someone unintelligible,
00:05:14and their unstable child's psyche can malfunction. While
00:05:18on social media, some Belarusian parents were vividly
00:05:22discussing the horror that is happening in schools with this total
00:05:26police control, in neighboring Russia, where there are exactly the same
00:05:30children and exactly the same parents, on September 1st in
00:05:33Krasnoyarsk Krai, a seventh-grader stabbed five people in the school,
00:05:37teachers and students, and on September 2nd in Bashkortostan...
00:05:41a ninth-grader stabbed a classmate right during
00:05:44class. This doesn't mean that things are worse in
00:05:47Russia; it means that something similar could have already happened in Belarus,
00:05:51but it didn't and it won't, because we have, as some
00:05:54like to wring their hands, a police
00:05:58state, for which most adequate parents actually
00:06:02thank the police,
00:06:04because if something similar were to happen here, the same
00:06:08people who were indignant about the new inspection procedure in schools would
00:06:12discuss with the same degree of fervor
00:06:15why the tragedy happened, how the schools and police allowed it,
00:06:19and when will all this end. They have this quirk of
00:06:22wringing their hands and suffering over any topic,
00:06:26even in support of contradictory events. Dear
00:06:30parents, the list of prohibited items in school: weapons,
00:06:33ammunition, stabbing and cutting objects, pyrotechnics, flammable
00:06:37liquids, matches, lighters, self-defense items, for example, gas
00:06:41canisters, alcohol, drugs, tobacco products, including
00:06:44electronic smoking systems, and I assure you, every
00:06:48class teacher knows or reasonably assumes which
00:06:51of their students might have something from this list in their backpack.
00:06:55But if before, the teacher had to independently demand that
00:06:58the student hand it over, and children, of course, would take a stance,
00:07:02argue, quarrel, and wear out the teacher's nerves, now the teacher simply
00:07:06needs to signal the police officer at the post that these kids
00:07:09might have something forbidden on them. That's it. Next,
00:07:12an inspection by a person in uniform, before whom you can't really
00:07:16show off. Two or three such incidents at school,
00:07:19word of mouth, and by October, I assure you, all hooligans in all
00:07:23schools in the country will be afraid to bring anything dangerous to class,
00:07:27and the goal of the new regulation will be achieved. And to those who are against it, I'll answer subjectively:
00:07:31in Belarus, there are about a million schoolchildren. If on one side of the scale,
00:07:34we inspect each of them every day, and on the other, there's the danger
00:07:38of at least one child getting a knife to the rib in some youth skirmish,
00:07:41or theoretically, a boy losing an eye
00:07:44from a pneumatic or traumatic weapon during a break, or at least one
00:07:48girl losing a finger from a firecracker because of a suitor who didn't
00:07:51come up with a better way to get attention, not
00:07:55to mention, God forbid, a tragedy with the death
00:07:58of a child. If it's necessary to inspect
00:08:02all a million schoolchildren in the country every day
00:08:05for this, then they must be inspected. Although it will be more than
00:08:09enough what Belarus already reasonable suspicion.
00:08:42Sanction pressure is the reality of today.
00:08:45In the arsenal of the powerful of this world, there are not only
00:08:49technologies, color revolutions
00:08:52and hybrid aggression. Currently, direct massive
00:08:56military aggression has demonstrably
00:08:59returned. Our response to such a challenge should be
00:09:02the formation of a new security architecture
00:09:06in Eurasia.
00:09:08Eurasia is the largest on the planet, with almost
00:09:11a hundred states. On the territory of Eurasia, there is currently a military conflict, largely
00:09:15provoked by a state that is on a completely different
00:09:19continent. But instead of us ourselves on our
00:09:22continent deciding what to do, we are to a greater or lesser extent
00:09:26waiting for what some external forces will say about this,
00:09:29starting with representatives of the country that actually provoked
00:09:33this military conflict. All of this is not to the liking
00:09:36of neither China, nor Russia, nor economically strong,
00:09:40politically Germany or France. That's just how it
00:09:43is in the world, and something definitely needs to be done about it,
00:09:47which Alexander Lukashenka is saying. It is possible and necessary to criticize
00:09:51NATO, and it is possible and necessary to say that, in general, especially before
00:09:54Trump's arrival and the exacerbation of relations between Washington and Brussels,
00:09:58the North Atlantic Alliance was a geopolitical dictatorship where
00:10:01the US said what to do, and the rest silently agreed.
00:10:05But it was still a powerful managed center of power.
00:10:08The hegemon says: we impose sanctions, everyone else instantly
00:10:12complies; support for some war. There are cascades of collective
00:10:15statements and increased military spending, the deployment of military
00:10:18force to this conflict zone. If one of the NATO
00:10:22members doesn't like something, everyone intervenes for them almost instantly.
00:10:55Firstly, they personally found it normal, and allies
00:10:58are asked to understand and forgive them. The further it goes, the more obvious
00:11:01it becomes that this cannot continue. Even those countries that
00:11:04tried to sit on two chairs conclude that this process is neither
00:11:08the most pleasant, nor does it lead to the desired result, even
00:11:12for them. The nominal current
00:11:15security architecture, primarily represented
00:11:18by the UN and its Security Council, well, everyone
00:11:21perfectly understands that it not only doesn't work, but it has
00:11:25also collapsed with a resounding crash. The longer there is no
00:11:28adequate counterbalance with adequate unity in the world, the more often
00:11:31new military conflicts and new economic
00:11:35confrontations will occur on the planet, of which there have been a huge
00:11:38number in recent years. This is essentially what Alexander Lukashenka is saying. And
00:11:42everyone is saying it, it's just that only he is doing it loudly at the highest
00:11:46political level. Nominally, the SCO represents half of the planet's
00:11:50population and a third of the planetary economy. Potentially, the SCO, which includes China,
00:11:53Russia, India, and other strong countries, is a dominator
00:11:57on the planet. But in fact, within the organization itself, there is not yet
00:12:01the unity from which everyone and even all
00:12:04others would benefit. Essentially, Alexander Grigoryevich publicly poses the question
00:12:07bluntly: what are we actually waiting for, and how long will we
00:12:11wait? In the future, we can act as a catalyst
00:12:14for the revitalization of the UN, restore its
00:12:17status as a platform for resolving the most complex
00:12:21global problems, and not
00:12:23an instrument in the hands of the West for pressure and
00:12:27coercion of sovereign and independent
00:12:30states. But we are also afraid to talk about that,
00:12:33for some reason. Of course, the President of Belarus's job is
00:12:36to protect the national interests of his country and his people. Of course,
00:12:40Alexander Lukashenka is primarily concerned about what happens
00:12:44if sanctions are suddenly imposed against Belarus by someone, so that all partners
00:12:48in the SCO stand up fully and declare, ready to execute,
00:12:51"Don't dare to pressure Minsk, otherwise we will implement retaliatory measures
00:12:55that will be unforgettable." If we are forbidden to fly to the West and they don't fly
00:12:59here from there, the answer is, then no problem,
00:13:02but we will push Western companies out of certain routes
00:13:06and give them to Minsk. Banking restrictions are imposed against Russia,
00:13:09okay, then in the SCO everyone unanimously replies, "And then
00:13:12we will introduce a multiplying coefficient for sanctioning parties
00:13:16on operations in our territory, so that you don't get away with it," and so on
00:13:20and so forth. Well, it's clear that NATO and the European Union are much deeper
00:13:23they need to catch up.
00:13:55financial and economic sanctions are introduced by the SCO,
00:13:58and what? Silence.
00:14:02The United States tries to stifle China with
00:14:05tariffs, a trade war,
00:14:08remember? It hasn't ended, and what?
00:14:12Moreover, aggression was committed
00:14:16against a member country, Iran,
00:14:20and what? But the Bishkek summit,
00:14:23the capital of Kyrgyzstan, was not only marked by this. Alexander
00:14:27Lukashenka also held bilateral negotiations with partners, among whom
00:14:31Laos stands out. It stands out more for the topic, because
00:14:34they discussed, among other things, joint gold
00:14:37mining.
00:14:39We can work together in the field of mineral extraction,
00:14:43gold. We could jointly build a gold processing
00:14:46plant.
00:14:51We already have such an enterprise, but we can build.
00:15:25financial practice of diversifying reserves, placed its
00:15:28gold in bars for storage in Great Britain. Developing
00:15:31countries do this regularly, because their gold in
00:15:35London, in one of the leading financial centers of the world, is more convenient
00:15:38for swap operations and for other investment
00:15:41activities. Yes, in general, according to established
00:15:44practice, if a country wants to buy gold for its reserves, and
00:15:48there is a seller who is not against the deal, for example, Britain,
00:15:52the deal is concluded, but physically, the gold,
00:15:54legally belonging already to the one who bought it, continues to lie
00:15:58in the seller's vaults. At a basic level, it's silly, but on a global
00:16:02scale, this was considered normal. Three years
00:16:05later, Hugo Chávez decided to return Venezuela's gold
00:16:09from all over the world to his country due to a predicted
00:16:12crisis in the US and EU. But why should Caracas report
00:16:16or state a reason to get its gold back?
00:16:20It was about 160 tons of bars, of which 31
00:16:24tons still remained in Great Britain, because London
00:16:27refused to return the gold to Venezuela, citing politics,
00:16:30the alleged illegitimacy of the government,
00:16:33undemocratic nature, and other human rights issues.
00:16:3631 tons of Venezuelan gold was
00:16:40stolen by Great Britain. Today this gold is valued at
00:16:434 billion dollars. Nicolás
00:16:46Maduro also tried to get it back after Hugo Chávez, but London
00:16:50still didn't and hasn't returned it, because it conveniently
00:16:53began to consider Juan Guaidó as the allegedly legitimate leader
00:16:57of Venezuela. Four days after this comrade declared
00:17:01himself the alleged interim head of Venezuela, London gave Caracas
00:17:04an answer that it had been bureaucratically delaying for years.
00:17:07Essentially, the one we consider the legitimate leader of Venezuela is not asking
00:17:11for the gold to be returned, so we won't give anything to anyone. Venezuela's Central
00:17:15Bank appealed to the court, but of course, the most democratic and allegedly
00:17:19correct judicial system of Great Britain did not
00:17:22grant this claim. In June of this year, Venezuela experienced
00:17:26a tragedy of historical proportions. Two earthquakes claimed the lives of more
00:17:29than 6,000 people, 22,000 buildings collapsed, and some cities
00:17:33were practically wiped clean off the face of the earth. Venezuela
00:17:37needs money, a lot of money, to restore the country.
00:17:40And this issue united even political opponents there.
00:17:44Caracas, represented by Delcy Rodríguez, who temporarily
00:17:47leads the country after Nicolás Maduro was kidnapped and taken to the US,
00:17:51appealed to London on behalf of all political forces in the country,
00:17:54"Return our gold to us." An official letter was even written
00:17:57to King Charles II asking for help. I take my hat off to them, the Caracas
00:18:01authorities even stooped to humiliation for the sake of their people,
00:18:04asking a foreign king to help return their own gold. But
00:18:08even after that, nothing happened, as in
00:18:11the famous meme, nothing at all. It's unlikely
00:18:14to ever happen now, because
00:18:17as long as Venezuela's gold is in Great Britain, London can
00:18:20influence Caracas's policy, twist their arms, promise to return
00:18:24the bars for a necessary decision, but then deceive them again
00:18:27and impose new conditions. Everyone in the world
00:18:30has drawn conclusions. On March 14,
00:18:342022, the President signed a decree on additional measures to ensure...
00:18:48with stones, in accordance with the norms of this
00:18:51resolution, at the order of the Ministry of Finance, the Gomel holding
00:18:54Kristall began to produce its own measured ingots, immediately
00:18:58small ones, with denominations of 1, 20, and 50 grams. But this is just the beginning. In
00:19:02November 2024, Alexander Lukashenka came to
00:19:05Kristall, where he instructed
00:19:07them to substitute the import of gold measured ingots. The quote
00:19:11then was: "So that we don't import anything from Switzerland."
00:19:14I assume that this is primarily because at any moment, Switzerland can
00:19:18refuse to sell us what it sold before, or even
00:19:21refuse to give us what we have already actually bought and paid for.
00:19:25But where to get the gold itself for its measured bars and for
00:19:29its gold and foreign exchange reserves? The fact is that a month
00:19:32before the visit to Kristall in October 2024, with the exact same
00:19:36leader of Laos, Alexander Lukashenka had already spoken about
00:19:39the prospects of joint gold mining. This was on the sidelines
00:19:42of the BRICS summit in Kazan. That is, it seems that the president
00:19:46conducts preliminary negotiations with a partner, he flies
00:19:50to Belarus, then he goes to give an order to produce his own measured
00:19:53ingots and not depend on anyone, as happened with Venezuela, already
00:19:57understanding that Laos will provide us with gold
00:20:00for these ingots. Last week, it seems the project entered a new
00:20:04phase, especially since the President of Laos stated that
00:20:07Belarus has good experience in gold mining, but we don't
00:20:11mine it ourselves, so where does the experience come from? Welcome
00:20:14to Africa, with which our president is successfully developing
00:20:18relations. In Africa there is plenty of gold,
00:20:21they don't need it, especially the unmined gold, more
00:20:25than food, medicine, agricultural machinery and many
00:20:29other things that Minsk offers. It is likely that with most
00:20:32partners in Africa, Belarus is discussing joint mining
00:20:36similar to with Laos. We are already mining it there,
00:20:39what else is there? It seems that we can also settle
00:20:42our accounts for our conditional tractors with gold, especially since Western
00:20:46banks are trying to throw a wrench in the works for Africa and us.
00:20:50For example, we've become closer friends with - guess what
00:20:53Myanmar has a lot of? Right, gold. Everyone noticed
00:20:57our special relationship with Uzbekistan, and Tashkent generally.
