00:27:56hope through medical treatment, skills training and economic

00:28:03years, life for most these women is defined by
00:28:07pain, embarrassment and rejection, living with
00:28:11constant urine leakage, many them have been forced to withdraw
00:28:14from their communities, losing their livelihoods, and in some
00:28:18cases their families. Their condition is caused by a medical
00:28:22condition called the psychovaginal fistular
00:28:25VVF. While the situation can render its
00:28:29victim hopeless, the Kaduna State Government is giving safras
00:28:33a new reason to be hopeful through its medical and
00:28:36empowerment interventions. I understand the profound
00:28:40physical, emotional and social challenges that
00:28:44women living with oscetric fisul may experience. No
00:28:48woman should suffer in silence or feel abandoned
00:28:52because of a medical condition that can be prevented and treated.
00:28:56I therefore make a plee to each and every one of us sitted
00:28:59here to continue to intensify our work.
00:29:03promote access to quality maternal healthcare, encourage
00:29:07skilled attendance during pregnancy and births and ensure
00:29:11that women who require treatment are able to access it without
00:29:14fear, stigma or
00:29:16discrimination. apart from the
00:29:20medical intervention, the state government is providing
00:29:23vocational training for survivors in areas such as
00:29:27tailoring, airdressing, catering and soap
00:29:30making. we want to say thank you. for

00:29:49solving health challenges in Nigeria. For the state government, the
