00:08:23war in Ukraine and perhaps more specifically this visit by Volodymyr
00:08:26Zelensky?
00:08:29Indeed, the Serbian population, it has pro-Russian affinities, these are
00:08:33affinities that are found in the quite old, quite
00:08:37traditional ties regarding a population that is quite pan-Slavic,
00:08:40that is to say, which perceives a fraternal friendship with the Russian
00:08:44people through these uh the fact that these are
00:08:47Slavic populations due to Orthodoxy. There are
00:08:51also more contemporary reasons, namely Russia's support for
00:08:55Serbia in the conflicts of the 90s, and notably
00:08:59the geopolitical support that Russia maintains
00:09:02towards the territorial integrity of Serbia
00:09:05and therefore the non-recognition internationally and diplomatic efforts in
00:09:09this regard from Russia, non- recognition of Kosovo so as not to
00:09:13recognize the Ukraine
00:09:16made by Russia and so that puts Belgrade's
00:09:20position in a rather complex position. Then there is the war
00:09:24which, for the Serbian population,
