00:00:00they gather in olive groves, and mostly they
00:00:03don't have any other income. This has been prevented. You just mentioned
00:00:06the issue of Kurds and Druze. The Kurds, well,
00:00:10this Qasd, or rather, the
00:00:14Kurdish paramilitary forces in northeast Syria,
00:00:17these have been disbanded. But do you think
00:00:21the issue of Kurds, Druze, and Alawites can still
00:00:25play a role in the Syrian crisis equations? Yes, this problem
00:00:29is still serious and has not been resolved. The Druze
00:00:32had conflicts with the Syrian General Security
00:00:35Forces a long time ago. Sheikh
00:00:39Hajari, one of the most prominent figures in the Druze community
00:00:42of Sweida, openly requested Israeli support, saying
00:00:46that they no longer trust the Syrian government. And Ahmad
00:00:49al-Sharaa and the Kurds have been imposed. The agreement with the Kurds has been
00:00:53imposed. Now the issue of female soldiers in the Syrian army has not
00:00:57yet been resolved. The Syrian army does not accept Kurdish women
00:01:00joining the army, because, well, many
00:01:04Kurdish women were in Kurdish paramilitary forces.
00:01:08They said they could join the Ministry of Interior's security forces, but
00:01:11not the army. We do not allow
00:01:15this. And there are also reports that
00:01:19Ahmad al-Sharaa is taking all the government's
00:01:22resources for the Syrian army and not spending
00:01:25on the economic situation and livelihoods of Syria.
00:01:28He wants a Syrian army.
00:02:00the battlefield in Yemen, something that Saudi Arabia
00:02:04is strongly pursuing. We heard
00:02:07contradictory statements in the past few hours. Well,
00:02:10the Turkish newspaper Tudei
00:02:13announced yesterday that the Syrian government, Ahmad al-Sharaa,
00:02:16rejected Saudi Arabia's request to send troops to Yemen
00:02:19and politely said that we do not have the capability
00:02:23or the power. Of course, this is what is being published by Turkish
00:02:27newspapers, and they say that the Turks have not played a role in this
00:02:30regard. But before these recent events in Yemen, many
00:02:34Syrians went to Yemen. Now, some of their ships have returned
00:02:38to Syria. This is the reason, and there are also videos
00:02:41of it. Of course, they themselves say that this was voluntary,
00:02:44meaning that there was no official request from the Syrian government. Anyone
00:02:48who wants to go to Yemen can go. This is the excuse or the words
00:02:51of the Syrian government. Of course, these Turkish newspapers say that the Turks did
00:02:55not allow it or have no role, because
00:02:58they saw that it had no result. They are ashamed and don't
00:03:01want to say that we did nothing. They want to say that we had
00:03:05no involvement in this matter. We did not agree.
00:03:08It seems that Syrian forces were in Yemen
00:03:12and participated. And these terrorist forces, many of whom were foreign,
00:03:15Uzbeks, and even some Syrians themselves, went there
00:03:18with Saudi money. But because they
00:03:22were not successful, it seems that everyone is now saying that
00:03:26we are no longer involved in this program or don't want to continue.
00:04:47As a result, the Israeli Air Force carried out a devastating attack and
00:04:50finished the job perfectly. All Hezbollah commanders were eliminated, and their infrastructure,
00:04:54ammunition, weapons, and missiles were targeted, causing complete
00:04:58devastation there. This caused widespread joy in
00:05:02Israel. They said the battle with Hezbollah was over and that they were out
00:05:05of the threat circle for many years. After two months
00:05:09of war, an agreement was made with Lebanon, and the settlers returned north
00:05:13after a year and a half of staying in hotels, believing
00:05:16that Hezbollah was defeated. But let's look at what is happening now. We
00:05:20fought Hezbollah, and all this time, I was the only one
00:05:24warning. It is true that Hezbollah was severely hit, but it was
00:05:27not defeated and can rebuild its forces. By the end
00:05:31of 2024, there was a strong belief that we
00:05:35had defeated Hezbollah, and government officials were happy. But where
00:05:38are we today? The Israeli government signed an agreement according to which it had
00:05:42to withdraw from all Lebanese territory because it believed
00:05:46Hezbollah was finished and no longer effective. But then
00:05:50in 2025, the Iranians rebuilt their forces
00:05:53and gained capabilities with thousands of missiles from the north.
00:05:57In February 2025, the war with Iran erupted, and Hezbollah
00:06:01supported it and dealt a severe blow to Israel. Now, after
00:06:04Hezbollah's actions, we will remain 8 kilometers south
00:06:08of Lebanon. Israeli forces have collapsed on their own and
00:06:12practically cannot protect the border. I tell you that it
00:06:15is a matter of time until Hezbollah returns to the gray line,
00:06:19and there is talk of it now. I want to say that the Israeli
00:06:22army had thousands of opportunities over the past years
00:06:26to increase its forces so that it could capture new territories
00:06:30and stay there and reach the Litani in southern Lebanon.
00:06:33The result is that today it does not have the ability to do so.
00:06:37The army is fragmented and small, and we have a huge chaos in it,
00:06:40and this is a strategic danger
00:07:24for us. Dear nation
00:07:27of Iran, you have done a great
00:07:30job. You have made Iran proud.
00:07:34You have supported the Islamic Republic,
00:07:37as always, and you have added to
00:07:40its power.
00:07:43The enemies who,
00:07:47in their statements and plans, seek
00:07:51the surrender of the Iranian
00:07:54nation have been disappointed, and Almighty
00:07:57God will reward such a
00:08:01presence and such
00:08:05a great movement to the nation,
00:08:08and its honor, power, and independence
00:08:12will be more complete, God
00:08:15willing.
00:08:17And peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
00:10:57In February 1989,
00:11:01Ayatollah Khamenei
00:11:04visited the former
00:11:07Yugoslavia. Since my late
00:11:11husband was both a simultaneous
00:11:15interpreter and a doctor of Persian
00:11:18language, he was engaged to be in
00:11:21the entourage for the entire few
00:11:25days when Ayatollah Khamenei was supposed
00:11:28to visit various
00:11:31parts of the former
00:11:33Yugoslavia.
00:11:35Since my late husband was also systematic
00:11:39in his documentation, I found
00:11:43newspaper clippings related to that visit
00:11:46that happened. I think
00:11:49the landing was in Belgrade at
00:11:53Belgrade Airport.
00:11:55And here I have an article published in
00:11:59Politika about how he landed
00:12:03in Belgrade, and here there
00:12:06is a picture of everyone who welcomed
00:12:10him, and my late husband is visible there.
00:12:51My late husband also saved clippings
00:12:55from newspapers that were published in Iran,
00:12:59related to this visit. Here
00:13:03is on it there are several
00:13:06pages, these are all clippings
00:13:09from newspapers that are in Iran,
00:13:22and here...
00:14:08So, it was not a visit
00:14:11that was related only
00:14:13to
00:14:15the top of the former Yugoslavia, but
00:14:19he also visited some factories
00:14:22and Energoinvest, which he visited then,
00:14:25which was very
00:14:28large. It was throughout the former Yugoslavia,
00:14:32but Energoinvest operated in other
00:14:35countries. Here we have when
00:14:39he landed at Sarajevo
00:14:41Airport,
00:14:43this is a picture from Sarajevo Airport.
00:14:46And since my
00:14:49late husband loved his students very
00:14:53much and the field he was
00:14:55involved in, he asked that
00:14:59during the visit, the faculty of Oriental
00:15:02Studies should also come.
00:15:41Almost from the late 19th century
00:15:44and early 20th
00:15:47century AD, activities in the field
00:15:50of translating Hafez's poems into the Bosnian
00:15:54language had begun. Three prominent
00:15:57Bosnian Iranologists, Safvet-beg Bašagić,
00:16:01Fehīm Bajraktarević, and Džavid
00:16:04Sulejmanpašić, made
00:16:08very significant
00:16:10contributions in this field
00:16:13and worked very
00:16:17hard. Unfortunately, the process
00:16:21of translating Hafez's
00:16:24poems into Bosnian
00:16:28was limited to a relatively
00:16:31small number of
00:16:34ghazals and occasionally quatrains.
00:16:38These were limited and confined.
00:16:41For this
00:16:43reason, this truly
00:16:47astonishing
00:16:48collection
00:16:51of Hafez's poems has largely
00:16:55remained unfamiliar to the
00:16:58scientific and cultural sphere of our country.
00:17:01It seems that the late Dr. Bašir
00:17:05Džaka, who began
00:17:08his academic and cultural activities in the mid-20th
00:17:12century AD,
00:17:15had realized this point,
00:17:19this point of
00:17:21the incompleteness of activities in the field
00:17:24of translating Hafez's poems into
00:17:28Bosnian. For this reason, he had
00:17:31decided to translate the complete
00:17:35Divan of Hafez into Bosnian.
00:18:05The work of the late Dr. Džaka
00:18:09in the field of translating the Divan of Hafez
00:18:12began approximately
00:18:15in the late 80s of the 20th
00:18:18century.
00:18:21According
00:18:24to eyewitness accounts and oral sources that we
00:18:28have received,
00:18:30the main motivation for starting
00:18:33this work was actually a meeting with the late
00:18:39related to that visit. On the last
00:18:42day of the visit,
00:18:45during this journey,
00:18:48the late Ayatollah Khamenei asked
00:18:51the professor if he was currently working on any
00:18:55translations of Persian language books. When
00:18:58the professor gave a negative
00:19:00answer,
00:19:02Ayatollah Khamenei presented him with a copy
00:19:06of Hafez's...
00:19:37had gifted it with
00:19:40a strong emphasis and a strong recommendation
00:19:43to translate the Divan of Hafez into
00:19:46Bosnian and to immortalize
00:19:50his name in the cultural arena forever.
00:20:19Immediately after Dr. Džaka
00:20:22started working on
00:20:26translating the Divan of Hafez into
00:20:29Bosnian, our country
00:20:31unfortunately faced a dual
00:20:34aggression from two neighboring countries.
00:20:38For this
00:20:40reason, naturally, there were no longer
00:20:43conditions to carry out this work
00:20:46or to pursue it. And these conditions were
00:20:50not available. The late Dr. Džaka
00:20:54had engaged in other work at that time,
00:20:57and for
00:20:58this reason,
00:21:01he was inevitably forced to stop translating the Divan of Hafez.
00:21:38This work, according to the information
00:21:41I have, was resumed only after
00:21:44the war ended. And
00:21:47this process and this procedure
00:21:51of translation continued for a few
00:21:54more years. When the war started, Dr. Džaka
00:21:57was one of the translators of the Iranian
00:22:01embassy, because he was the only one who knew Persian. He collaborated with
00:22:04a group of Iranian friends. He himself was in the war and helped
00:22:08friends in various places. After the war, in
00:22:111976, after the war ended,
00:22:14the Ibn Sina Institute was established. He came
00:22:17to the then director of the institute, whom we should remember, Dr. Reza
00:22:21Kalhor. He told him about the incident that had happened that year,
00:22:25and that he was translating the Divan. What should he do now?
00:22:27Finally, a contract was signed between the institute
00:22:31and Dr. Džaka, and he started and continued
00:22:34the translation of the Divan of Hafez. And this
00:22:37translation took several
00:22:40years, until finally, after
00:22:44he submitted the translation, it went to several
00:22:47poets in the Nasr region.
00:23:09a year and a half before the actual publication of the Divan, he passed away,
00:23:12and he himself was not
00:23:15present at the unveiling of the Divan, which was unveiled
00:23:19with the presence of his family.
00:24:21was the spread and promotion of Persian language
00:24:24and literature. For a president to have such presence
00:24:26of mind on such a trip, and for
00:24:30Persian language to be so important to him that he tells
00:24:33his translator and actually does this work, after all,
00:24:37it was his righteous spirit that made Dr. Džaka continue
00:24:41this work, and after 20 years, this translation
00:24:44was done and will remain.
00:25:07When he came, of course, he was very proud that
00:25:11he received this book, knowing what
00:25:15kind of person
00:25:18it was about, who he was. He knew well
00:25:21who Hafez
00:25:24Shirazi was and how significant
00:25:27this gift he received was and how great
00:25:30the responsibility was for him to work
00:25:33and to connect
00:25:36both Iranian culture and our
00:25:40culture.
00:27:26I am Zahra Ghafouri, a flag-bearer at Vali Square.
00:27:30I took the university entrance exam this year. God willing, let's see what happens.
00:27:43We came here to defend our country's
00:27:46flag because we love it and have pride
00:27:50in it. I am the guardian of this flag.
00:27:52Yes.
00:27:58All our people, when I personally sacrificed my life,
00:28:02when inside, I mean
00:28:15we wanted to defend our country against foreigners.
00:28:19No,
00:28:27sacrificing one's life knows no age. Why should
00:28:31it be about age at all?
00:29:02that they came here, there is no need for any explanation. It is obvious
00:29:06that they came for their love, for their country. These are the most
00:29:10honorable people of Iran. It is truly
00:30:24clear. A senior member of Yemen's Ansarullah movement
00:30:28emphasized that Yemen supports Iran against the US
00:30:32and will not back down from this despite pressures.
00:30:35Hamid Asam said, "We clearly state this. Yemen's positions are aligned
00:30:39with the axis of resistance, with which we identify ourselves
00:30:43and form a united front. No one can
00:30:46separate us and defeat us." He added, "We explicitly
00:30:50declare that the people and armed forces of Yemen are ready
00:30:54with all their might to stand with any Arab or Islamic
00:30:57country that faces military aggression."
