00:18:57causes a series of disruptions, they are a product
00:19:01of greenhouse gas emissions,
00:19:04CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, and that affects
00:19:08the melting of Arctic glaciers,
00:19:12prolonged dry periods, the spread
00:19:15of fires, and floods, on the other hand,
00:19:19the fall of large amounts of water in a short period.
00:19:23These cycles alternate and are becoming
00:19:26more intense. In Europe, this
00:19:29is already felt very drastically, and Bosnia and Herzegovina is
00:19:33a somewhat less threatened area so far,
00:19:37but it is coming its turn, and we are already
00:19:41seeing a greater spread of forest fires
00:19:44in areas where this has not happened before,
00:19:48and outside , for example, Herzegovina, where people

00:21:32the shutdown of the nuclear power plant
00:21:36in Hungary drastically affects the region of
00:21:38Southeast Europe, because it is a large capacity, and
00:21:42the extremely low level of the Danube is a phenomenon that perhaps
00:21:45is being seriously recorded for the first time now. You are witnesses
00:21:50that you can cross the Danube in some
00:21:52places, that I saw in one recording
00:21:56that a car can drive across the Danube, which is
00:22:00unprecedented, which is unprecedented. In such
00:22:02circumstances, there is not enough water to cool the reactor, and

00:22:32level of need for electricity, then Croatia and the entire
00:22:35region, and yet in these current
00:22:39circumstances in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the public
00:22:44to the task that is somehow
00:22:47expected of it. What do we rely on, how much electricity
00:22:50comes from thermal power plants, how much from hydropower plants, how much from
00:22:53wind farms? What is it that we currently have at
00:22:57our disposal in Bosnia and Herzegovina? Well, Bosnia and Herzegovina
00:23:01had, before the war, 4
00:23:04megawatts of electricity production capacity for electricity, of
00:23:08which 2 megawatts were hydropower, 2000 megawatts were
00:23:12thermal, but production in thermal power plants was
00:23:1560 to 70%, because they
00:23:18operate for a greater number of hours than hydropower plants, mhm,
00:23:22depending on the hydrological year, what kind of precipitation
00:23:25there is. Uh, so it went up
00:23:28to 70% from thermal power plants, in good
00:23:31hydrological conditions 50, something lower, mhm. After
00:23:34the war, the private sector built
00:23:381600 megawatts of new capacity, 300
00:23:42megawatts of thermal power plants in Stanari,
00:23:45then over 900 megawatts of solar power plants
00:23:48on the transmission and distribution
00:23:51grid, about 300 megawatts of
00:23:54wind farms, and 100 megawatts of small
00:23:57hydropower plants. So most of the solar are 900 megawatts,
00:24:01most of them, well, privately owned, all privately
00:24:04owned. And the state public sector, I mean the electric power companies
00:24:08have not produced a single kilowatt of solar energy, but only maintained
00:24:11existing production and consumed
00:24:15existing capacities and worked on existing ones. There are also
00:24:18, for example, wind farms.
00:24:20Uh, Podveležje was built by Elektroprivreda BiH, Mesihovina was built by
00:24:24Elektroprivreda Mostar, and Elektroprivreda Mostar
00:24:28built two hydropower plants, Mostarsko Blato and
00:24:30Tihaljina. These other capacities have not, although they were
00:24:34designed, although all the preconditions for their construction exist,
00:24:38they are not being built today. Ultimately, what does that

00:25:18in the Federation. What does that mean? That means that the
00:25:21electric power company in Sarajevo is an importer of electricity.
00:25:25And one terawatt, that's a million
00:25:29kilowatts, uh, a thousand
00:25:32GWh annually imports
00:25:35electricity. The Sarajevo electric power company from Trebinje imports
00:25:39500,000 megawatts. The Mostar electric power company
00:25:42is balanced at approximately zero.
