00:00:00colleagues from the transport sector who, in these really high
00:00:03temperatures, serve thousands of thousands of these passengers and
00:00:07make, well, their arrival or departure from Bosnia and Herzegovina as
00:00:10comfortable as possible. Here, we certainly
00:00:13join in. There are many passengers,
00:00:15it's evident. I tried to extract
00:00:20to Bosnia and Herzegovina. So, we will work a certain part of the statistics here. A small correction, so on August 1st you recorded even more than
00:00:2413,000 passengers, very quickly you broke
00:00:28records and exceeded probably your own
00:00:32expectations regarding the numbers. Do you believe that this is
00:00:35just a successful tourist season after all the good things
00:00:39that happened to us in terms of promoting Bosnia and Herzegovina, or are we actually
00:00:42perhaps looking at the beginning of a completely deeper change?
00:00:46Well, you see, these results, when it comes to tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina,
00:00:50certainly indicate that Sarajevo, Mostar, Bosnia and
00:00:53Herzegovina as a country as a whole, are attractive
00:00:56tourist destinations. Of course, for tourists to
00:00:59arrive as easily and as quickly as possible in Bosnia and
00:01:02Herzegovina, transportation connectivity is one of the most significant
00:01:05factors influencing the, therefore,
00:01:08arrival of tourists, and on the other hand, we also facilitate
00:01:11travel for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina so they can fly from Sarajevo
00:01:15to as many destinations as possible. Of course, these
00:01:18summer months are always record-breaking, with the highest numbers,
00:01:24cliché, but if we were to go back to given that it's the holiday
00:01:25that and to the season. So, whether citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are traveling
00:01:28from Sarajevo, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, to... some destinations for vacation or
00:01:31business, or whether citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who are temporarily
00:01:35or permanently working, well, living outside the borders of BiH are returning, so our
00:01:39diaspora, along with what is certainly an attractive, extremely attractive summer
00:01:43for the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the concerts of Dino
00:01:46Merlin, the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, a series of
00:01:49accompanying events before and after the festival, have certainly
00:01:53contributed to such good results. On the other hand,
00:01:56the airport management, or rather the people
00:02:00employed at the airport responsible for connecting Sarajevo with
00:02:03other destinations, have worked extremely hard in recent years
00:02:07to ensure that Sarajevo is connected, this year, with
00:02:10a record-breaking 40 destinations this
00:02:13summer. So, that is a, shall I say, a mix of
00:02:16activities that has led to these truly impressive numbers. Last
00:02:20year was a record year, we'll see if we can reach that magical
00:02:24figure of 2 million passengers per year for us this
00:02:27year. We're trying, we're on the right track to
00:02:31repeat similar results as in '25. Yes, is a record
00:02:35expected when it comes to the influx of guests arriving for SFF?
00:02:38What kind of reservations are you already seeing? Well, that's right,
00:02:42you see, we, as an airport, are a natural
00:02:45logical partner, and this year, as in previous years, a sponsor
00:02:49of the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival. We truly expect
00:02:52a large number of guests precisely because of the Sarajevo
00:02:56Film Festival. So, we have some announcements, of course, when
00:02:59it comes to some VIP personalities, or rather
00:03:03famous actors, directors, well, people in the film
00:03:06industry. On the other hand, not just the film festival, we also
00:03:09have a performance by a British
00:03:13band, what should I call them, Prodigy, in Grbavica in a few days. So all
00:03:17of that together truly contributes to a huge influx of tourists from
00:03:21all over the world to Sarajevo, or rather to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
00:03:24Of course, the most credit for that goes to, I would say,
00:03:28several low-budget
00:03:37and others who have been flying for many years, almost 30 years, to the capital
00:03:41of Bosnia and Herzegovina. So, on one hand, you need to have an offer, meaning
00:03:45that people have a reason to come to Bosnia and
00:03:48Herzegovina and Sarajevo. On the other hand, we, as airport
00:03:51management, need to ensure that Sarajevo is as well connected as possible. It seems to me that this
00:03:55year, this summer, we have succeeded both of us
00:03:58in... creating, so to speak, a foundation
00:04:01for our tourism industry, restaurateurs, hotels, and all those
00:04:05who support that industry,
00:04:07bingobih.ba. Retina to have a good summer. Mhm, you
00:04:10and tourism workers very often admit that you see
00:04:13a large influx of young tourists from countries from which
00:04:17you previously didn't notice them, and they openly say
00:04:20that this is mainly due to Ryanair's
00:04:2411 lines currently available to Sarajevo. When you
00:04:27analyze the passenger structure by... perhaps
00:04:30young people, from which countries are they starting to arrive that wasn't
00:04:34the case before? What do you notice? Well, you see, we have two factors that
00:04:38influence a slight change, so to speak, in the type
00:04:42of countries from which
00:04:45example, I prefer to focus on tourists come. First of all, precisely that
00:04:48accessibility of airline tickets and the opening
00:04:51of Sarajevo to numerous European destinations has led
00:04:54to an increasing number of tourists coming from the United Kingdom via
00:04:58London, then from Spain, from Italy,
00:05:02so, we are talking about a significant increase
00:05:05in the number of tourists when it comes to Europe. On the other hand,
00:05:08the events in the Middle East have had a negative impact.
00:05:12Conflicts in Iran, mm, so we have a significantly smaller
00:05:16influx of guests directly from Gulf countries, from GCC
00:05:19countries. But somehow we managed to diversify, well,
00:05:23these destinations from which one can fly to Sarajevo, so
00:05:27we can say that we have partly amortized, amortized
00:05:30that situation. Given that we are, well, as a city, as a country, a halal-friendly
00:05:34destination, we were quite popular among tourists coming from
00:05:38the Islamic world. There are still some, but somewhat fewer compared
00:05:41to previous years. So, well,
00:05:45tourists, or rather the tourism board, mm, I'm talking more as an
00:05:48industry, need to adapt their offer, given that it's precisely
00:05:52a different type of tourist, they are looking for slightly different things. But it seems
00:05:56to me that our hoteliers and restaurateurs, all those in the service
00:05:59industries, are quite adaptable, so they quickly,
00:06:02so to speak, turn to these new tourists and adapt
00:06:06their offer to them. But I would agree, of course, that
00:06:09Ryanair, Wizz Air, and other low-budget companies, along with, as I said, some
00:06:13companies that have been flying to Sarajevo Airport for many years, decades already, certainly
00:06:17contribute to us having a quite
00:06:20different picture of tourists who travel through Sarajevo Airport. And
00:06:24we return to that offer, that is, the concerts of Dino
00:06:27Merlin, Prodigy, others, that is, some jazz
00:06:30musical stars from the region are, so to speak,
00:06:34a magnet that attracts people to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Is there any
00:06:38line that has proven to be a particular surprise to you,
00:06:41that you perhaps didn't expect so much from it, and how have
00:06:45these recently introduced ones, which we discussed in April, it seems, when you
00:06:48were here last, how have they performed? There was Paris,
00:06:52Turkey, right, another Ankara and Berlin. Yes, well, you see,
00:06:56every line we introduce, we introduce it based on analyses together with
00:06:59airline companies. So, the assessments are that those
00:07:03flight lines, those destinations, will be sufficiently filled, meaning they will be
00:07:06profitable for airline companies. So, we can certainly
00:07:10say that we hit the mark when it comes to... connecting the capital of Bosnia and
00:07:13Herzegovina with the capitals of France, Germany, and Turkey, and we truly
00:07:17have quite, quite good results, or rather
00:07:20airline companies are recording good results. For every airline route, a certain
00:07:24period is needed, so that it gets established, that it gets promoted, that people simply
00:07:28get used to having airline routes to Sarajevo on certain days of the
00:07:31week. So, in addition to these three, Paris, Berlin, and
00:07:35Ankara, Bodrum certainly proves to be
00:07:38a quite quality line with Ajet, given that, well,
00:07:42Turkey is a popular destination and people generally
00:07:45travel by plane, they go by car in comparison, well,
00:07:49with countries in the region. Also,
00:07:52therefore, the standard hubs that connect Sarajevo with other destinations,
00:07:56Vienna, Istanbul, Frankfurt, so all
00:07:59of these are, destinations and
00:08:01airports through which either our people travel somewhere
00:08:05further or our diaspora or tourists come from
00:08:09other countries. These are some, so to speak,
00:08:12junction points through which we record very good
00:08:16results. Mhm, let's briefly return to those foreign tourists. We know that the
00:08:19airport participates in conducting surveys
00:08:22of them. You said from where they are
00:08:26increasingly arriving. Do we know
00:08:29why and for how long they stay? Can we say that in
00:08:33some way Sarajevo is truly becoming a city break situation, so
00:08:36one in which mostly young people will come without
00:08:40much planning for two, three, four days? Sarajevo International
00:08:43Airport is a full member of ACI Europe, which is an
00:08:47association of airports, worldwide
00:08:49and its European branch. We conduct regular
00:08:52surveys together with them. These surveys
00:08:56primarily relate to passenger satisfaction with the airport,
00:08:59the cleanliness of the airport, the service, the friendliness, and here I can say
00:09:03that we truly have very good results. I am especially
00:09:07proud that people rate the staff, i.e., the employees of Sarajevo
00:09:11International Airport, very highly. On the other hand, when it comes
00:09:14to the profile of the tourists themselves, that is something that the Tourist
00:09:18Board of Sarajevo Canton does more. They are the ones who conduct these
00:09:22types of surveys and analyze them. A large number, it seems to me two-thirds of those
00:09:26passengers, stated in those surveys that they chose Sarajevo
00:09:29as a destination because a new direct
00:09:33flight was introduced. Of course,
00:09:36they also mention the affordability,
00:09:39well, the price accessibility of hotels, food, and other
00:09:42services. Of course, we must not neglect the fact that Sarajevo
00:09:46is the cultural, historical, and economic center of Bosnia and
00:09:49Herzegovina, so there is truly much to see and
00:09:53find in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the other hand, these tourists
00:09:57do not only come to Sarajevo; they travel from Sarajevo to Mostar, they go to
00:10:00Travnik, so Sarajevo is not the only
00:10:03destination they visit
00:10:07when arriving through Sarajevo International Airport. And what we want to do in the
00:10:10coming period is to perhaps open Sarajevo
00:10:14and especially maybe Medjugorje to some destinations
00:10:17via Spain, towards South America. That is, for example,
00:10:20one, one continent with which we are not best
00:10:23connected. We had some discussions with the Spanish embassy,
00:10:27the ambassador, to see if in the coming period we can
00:10:30somehow motivate some airline companies to connect
00:10:34Sarajevo directly with Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, and
00:10:37similar destinations, because we believe there is huge
00:10:41interest from South America when it comes
00:10:45on that in the coming period. Mhm, speaking of new destinations,
00:10:48let's remind our viewers that for March
00:10:512027, 420,000
00:10:55annual Ryanair seats from Sarajevo have been announced. That would
00:10:58be their most extensive flight schedule we've had so
00:11:02far. I'm interested, the destinations haven't been published yet.
00:11:05How many can we expect? Can we roughly
00:11:08say in which direction this is going? So, what
00:11:12destinations can we expect? Can we
00:11:15somehow say that with this, Sarajevo is finally entering
00:11:19a final new phase when it comes to low-cost
00:11:23traffic? Well, that's right, we, in negotiations with Ryanair,
00:11:27agreed on a model that is optimal for both us and
00:11:31them. So, we would certainly have liked Ryanair to maintain its winter flight
00:11:34schedule, meaning that Sarajevo remained connected via Ryanair to numerous
00:11:38destinations during winter as well. However, well,
00:11:42both we and our colleagues from Ryanair concluded
00:11:45that the most optimal solution is to have that record number
00:11:48of available seats, over 14 destinations. Ryanair
00:11:51flies all over Europe. For now, we cannot talk about the
00:11:55destinations and cities themselves, given that that is, well, the agreement with them. But it is certain
00:11:59that our fellow citizens and numerous tourists from all over the world
00:12:02will be positively surprised. These are certainly symbols and signals
00:12:06that, well, Sarajevo, tourism, Bosnia and
00:12:09Herzegovina have enormous potential, that we all need to somehow
00:12:13work together to exploit that potential. And this
00:12:17shows us that we have this chronic, I would call it, challenge
00:12:20of seasonality. So we have those few summer months in
00:12:24tourism when... both the Old Bridge, Baščaršija, Travnik,
00:12:27and Medjugorje, and Kravice, are all full of tourists, sometimes from about
00:12:31May until September. Then from October until March,
00:12:35we need to create some new events, we need to devise some
00:12:38international activities, so that more
00:12:42people come outside, so to speak,
00:12:46the peak season during the summer. So, we'll leave
00:12:49you, the media, and our fellow citizens, everyone watching us, in a little
00:12:53suspense as to which destinations these will be. I hope we can
00:12:57announce them soon. Yes, but the winter flight schedule will be omitted.
00:13:01Is seasonality the only reason for this?
00:13:04You see, airlines today are truly
00:13:07facing, and the entire air traffic, air industry, with a number
00:13:10of challenges. Primarily, they are related to the immense
00:13:14pressure they have when it comes to the price of aviation fuel. So,
00:13:17in the costs of each
00:13:20flight, fuel is by far the largest cost, and we are
00:13:24witnessing in the last few months truly unusual
00:13:27fluctuations and jumps in these prices, and airlines are
00:13:31extremely cautious,
00:15:26At the very beginning, a few questions for you as well, it concerns
00:15:29actually how much clothing you have in your
00:15:32wardrobe that you will never wear again,
00:15:36how many times have you still bought something just because it
00:15:39was cheap, pretty, or just then in trend? Today,
00:15:43more and more young people are turning to second-hand shops, but not
00:15:46just because they can get things cheaper there. Namely, they are looking
00:15:50for pieces that no one else has, they alter them, decorate
00:15:53them, and from old clothes they make something completely new. Is
00:15:57new fashion actually wearing what already existed
00:16:00on other people? Can we from a full wardrobe
00:16:04create less waste, more of our own? About
00:16:08the changes we already see among young people, we are discussing this further
00:16:11with them and Smihana Kukuruz and Nura Hamzić,
00:16:15both of them are somehow in this field in different ways,
00:16:28for being here, Smihana, when we talk about young people
00:16:30and the changes you also notice
00:16:34in your generation when it comes to buying
00:16:37clothes. You told me earlier that
00:16:41a large number of them don't hide that much rather than before, much rather perhaps
00:16:45than some previous generations, they go to second-hand
00:16:48shops. Is that really true, is that a major change, and
00:16:51what is it about? Is it actually a trend or perhaps an announcement of an even
00:16:55bigger change in the attitude towards
00:16:57clothing production, fast fashion, and so on? Well, I think
00:17:01it's primarily a mix of different factors in
00:17:04the sense that it's primarily a trend that appeared
00:17:08on Instagram and TikTok, but through that
00:17:11trend, we somehow got the moment to talk more about
00:17:15sustainability itself. I think that's actually
00:17:18that moment of sustainability itself, where we think about
00:17:22how much clothing actually, how much
00:17:25clothing actually ends up in landfills, how much
00:17:28it pollutes the space and what we do to the space itself,
00:17:32and from that also comes that moment when we think about
00:17:36who actually makes that clothing, because most large
00:17:39brands make that clothing in an unethical
00:17:42way, like, for example, in India, they have
00:17:46so many fast fashion brands, they come
00:17:48and here primarily women
00:17:51and women and children work for three to four dollars
00:17:55a day, and simply that's also a moment when
00:17:58we ask ourselves where it's better to buy clothes. It's also
00:18:02somewhat a mix of individuality and creativity
00:18:06that one allows oneself.
00:18:16in SCC, all boutiques more or less have the same things,
00:18:20and we all dress the same way. And second-hand became
00:18:23that trendy moment that became really popular
00:18:26because everyone is looking for some individuality, a way to
00:18:30express themselves, and simply that moment
00:18:33of individuality where you know that you're wearing something that no one else
00:18:37has at all. So, to summarize, the smallest number of people
00:18:41who buy, mostly young people, in second-hand stores, buy because it's cheap
00:18:45there or because of the prices. A much larger number of people because of everything you
00:18:49mentioned. Well, there's also that moment where everything is cheaper than when
00:18:53you go into SCC, but mostly
00:18:56because we're looking for that way to express ourselves
00:18:59creatively. Nura, you went
00:19:02many steps further. Somehow
00:19:05you recognized that from wearing clothes, you can
00:19:09do many new things, and for everyone who might
00:19:13recognize you from your Instagram
00:19:16account, they will understand what you are capable of achieving from an old
00:19:20dress, from an old jumpsuit or corset,
00:19:23and what new things in terms of combinations you can make.
00:19:27So, please describe your journey when you enter a second-hand shop or look
00:19:31at clothes you're going to order. What details
00:19:34do you actually notice that you'll be able to use for your creations?
00:19:38I would call it a very specific creative
00:19:41process,
00:19:43naturally characterized by my individual style, but
00:19:47precisely because of that, I think anyone can do it, exclusively because
00:19:51it comes down to the creative process of the individual. If
00:19:54we talk about what I notice
00:19:58that is actually qualitative and worthy of further
00:20:01processing in my creative process
00:20:04is the moment of design. The moment
00:20:08of materials. There are some specific
00:20:11brands that are my favorite, which are from the
00:20:152000s, like Yesica, which is not so recognizable here today,
00:20:19but it's cheap in second-hand stores. So, for
00:20:22altering it, adding. What
00:20:26I would like to emphasize is that creative process does not necessarily focus
00:20:30on the moment of upcycling, that is,
00:20:33creating a new piece from an old one. I think
00:20:37that the creative process actually reflects in the moment when
00:20:40I manage to create a whole completely different, so-called
00:20:44layered outfit that uses different
00:20:47layers, different, so-called patterns.
00:20:50And for example, I like to emphasize the moment
00:20:54of consumption and the combination of different colors that are not
00:20:57exclusively on opposite sides of that
00:21:01famous color wheel, a range
00:21:04of colors. So I think that creative process would focus
00:21:07on quality material, and perhaps
00:21:11even the factory of some specific factories that are still recognizable
00:21:14today, whose pieces are truly valuable. For example,
00:21:18pieces from old Yugoslavian factories, in which
00:21:21famous brands that today have amazing shows like Yves Saint Laurent
00:21:25created their pieces. So I think it's a
00:21:29process for which everyone is actually competent, I just think
00:21:32that the moment of creativity is crucial. Yes, and for all those
00:21:36who are wondering if they need a machine
00:21:39or any other tool for creativity in terms of altering those old
00:21:42pieces they find in second-hand stores, what do you tell them? How do you usually
00:21:46do it? Absolutely not, no, no, absolutely.
00:21:50Absolutely not, it's literally a moment, my moment looks
00:21:53like this: I listen to a good podcast or a good
00:21:55song,
00:21:58which just gives me space to
00:22:01create something new, which is not essentially a new
00:22:05piece, but a new moment of the entire outfit. Absolutely nothing
00:22:09is needed except perhaps freedom of mind, sounds quite
00:22:15so-called core value, the moment in
00:22:18which a matrix desires. society, where the individual and
00:22:21soul are the moment of everything, I think we would make amazing things from
00:22:25clothes. But for numerous
00:22:28those who feel they need help in
00:22:31creating something new from old, for all of them, there
00:22:34are workshops in Sarajevo that help them
00:22:38express themselves, learn how to alter, learn after all, maybe
00:22:41even build that personal sense of what
00:22:45can be an interesting combination, Smihana. I know
00:22:48you attended some of
00:22:52those workshops where you yourself said you might have surprised yourself,
00:22:56that everyone around you, your colleagues, surprised you in terms
00:23:00of their creativity and everything they are capable of producing.
00:23:03Where can these workshops be attended, what did they teach
00:23:07you, these workshops that deal with making
00:23:10new things, completely newer from old ones? For
00:23:14example, we have a workshop at the GT Institute, and when I think
00:23:18of the GT Institute, I immediately think of a German course, but they
00:23:22organized three-day workshops throughout Bosnia
00:23:25and Herzegovina specifically related to upcycling
00:23:28and clothing recycling, because they noticed
00:23:32that we have a lot of clothes that we no longer use and a lot of clothes
00:23:36that we actually donate to humanitarian
00:23:39organizations that exceed
00:23:42the needs of the users
00:23:45of these donations, they have nowhere
00:23:48to go. For example, the GT Institute, in cooperation
00:23:52with Pomoziba, organized a workshop on upcycling
00:23:55new, new clothes, where the clothes were donated by Pomoziba.
00:23:59So, simply through those three days, you first
00:24:03learn about the moment of textile waste, sustainable
00:24:06then you are
00:24:09simply released from the clothes they have
00:24:12chosen for you to express your creativity in the best
00:24:16possible way, you simply have instructors
00:24:19who... help you realize your
00:24:23outfit in terms of how you can improve it, this might not be realistic with
00:24:27this material, they teach you how
00:24:30to use that machine and how to simply make something new
00:24:34out of all of that. To me, every colleague, both male and female,
00:24:38who was at that workshop, surprised
00:24:41me with the creativity they showed. For
00:24:45example, one girl made an excellent jacket
00:24:48from a men's shirt. a jacket and now that jacket can
00:24:52be worn by some girl. I think we will see that through the inserts,
00:24:56if not now, then very soon, mm,
00:24:59and many other unique things. And speaking of
00:25:02that, Nura, you actually started a
00:25:05small business from that. What you invent as a new creation, old
00:25:09clothes, you present to people who react wonderfully online, it very
00:25:13quickly sells out. Did the response and
00:25:16the success, perhaps, ultimately, and the
00:25:20promotion of such things among young people, at the very
00:25:23least, surprise you? Yes, I started by wanting
00:25:27to do something useful for my
00:25:30wardrobe and I wanted to create some circulation of my
00:25:33old pieces, because I'm quite obsessive about
00:25:37this topic. Very often I allowed myself to be a victim
00:25:40of excessive consumption of absolutely everything, at this moment
00:25:43new pieces. I started by wanting to get
00:25:47rid of pieces that were superfluous to me at quite low
00:25:51prices. But that was the moment when I wanted to be environmentally conscious and
00:25:55ethical, so like, here, at least let the pieces circulate, and
00:25:58so the money, it kind of made sense to me to justify myself at first.
00:26:03It went pretty well,
00:26:06uh, I realized that it gives me immense satisfaction, the moment when
00:26:10I give a new, new soul, a new life to a piece, for me that is
00:26:14quite profound. Mm, I started to
00:26:17travel, to find different pieces in
00:26:20every possible city, mm, that comes to mind, where I
00:26:24happen to be at that moment, mm, in the meantime, I also started
00:26:28the process of styling myself,
00:26:30I would say that my identity that I have today was formed there, which will
00:26:34only continue to be, become, arise, cease, and
00:26:38so on. M, in the meantime of
00:26:41all of that, I started styling different girls for music videos, that was a
00:26:45moment that was incredibly satisfying for me,
00:26:48mm, so, I mean, I think I succeeded, that
00:26:52I will yet succeed in creating something that is beneficial
00:26:56to all of us in the long run, yes, and
00:26:59many of us try to do something useful, but we are not always. However,
00:27:03not
00:27:09everything is suitable for donation, right? Can we go through what
00:27:13is adequate to take to
00:27:16donation, to donated items, for example,
00:27:20to Pomozba or other organizations,
00:27:23and what happens with the clothes that are not adequate
00:27:27to be passed on? Well,
00:27:29many people look at the way... when
00:27:33we look at clothing donation as a way to get rid of things from their closet
00:27:37and simply everything that they might not
00:27:40wear, many people actually
00:27:43donate that. Such clothes will never be
00:27:46needed by the users nor will they ever reach the users, because
00:27:50we always recommend that when someone donates clothes,
00:27:53they donate something they would wear themselves or would give to someone
00:27:57else to wear. It happens that clothes arrive
00:28:01torn or... dirty, and simply such
00:28:04clothes cannot go further, they have nowhere
00:28:08to go but to the landfill, and there
00:28:11waste is created, because people daily donate clothes to Pomozba
00:28:14or to other humanitarian organizations, so that
00:28:17a lot of waste actually accumulates because
00:28:21the clothes are simply unusable at that moment. Mhm,
00:28:24and how much does
00:28:26waste actually threaten and how little is
00:28:29spoken about it, you also reminded me before
00:28:33the conversation, where we already have
00:28:36cases of certain cities in
00:28:39Africa, even though it seems far from us, whose beaches are
00:28:42completely completely covered with waste and
00:28:46material in Ghana and other places. How
00:28:49much is that actually a scene that we might see in
00:28:53other parts of the world if we don't start
00:28:57mitigating our attitude towards fast fashion? I think that fast fashion as
00:29:01a problem with us... is not let's say taken so
00:29:04seriously, because when we think of fashion and textile
00:29:08waste, it immediately seems somehow silly to us, because it brings up
00:29:11the topic of ecology which generally is not simply
00:29:15taken seriously and many people take
00:29:19the topic of textile waste seriously. What is happening
00:29:22in Ghana is simply terrible because Ghana
00:29:25has become a landfill for larger
00:29:28countries that want to get rid of their textile
00:29:32waste.
