00:02:50We return to the show Novi Dan. Friend of the show

00:03:09Sarajevo has been the center of film art for three
00:03:12days, the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival
00:03:16is underway, we will see in the continuation how yesterday's
00:03:20day passed. The most beautiful
00:03:23August story continues. The second day of the Sarajevo Film Festival
00:03:27brought a film marathon masterclass. Luna,
00:03:30recipient of the honorary Heart of Sarajevo, morning
00:03:33coffee with Pavel Pavlikovsky and a discussion about his
00:03:37paternity, but also screenings of films, child
00:03:40of the night, mountain, motherhood, shame and money and numerous
00:03:44others. For film lovers, too many good titles, and
00:03:47too little time. I have been to every festival so far
00:03:50and I prioritize my vacations for the festival,
00:03:54of course I like Kinometalac the most, but
00:03:58there are still many good programs. Last night, the film
00:04:02Paternity was shown, did you watch it and generally,
00:04:05are you satisfied with this year's offer? Yes, I watched
00:04:09that film and it deeply impressed me
00:04:14I go, I and had some connections with what
00:04:16happened in the past in these areas
00:04:19in terms of those cursed
00:04:22divisions,
00:04:24so there were emotions, it's a good film and
00:04:28we need more such films. I can't watch more, it's great,
00:04:32it was wonderful last night, the energy is fantastic, the city is
00:04:36very lively, the festival is great, the accreditations could
00:04:39work a little better,
00:04:42but everything else is wonderful, we are having a great time in
00:04:45Sarajevo, I came here after 34 years
00:04:49for the first time, I am here for the first time with
00:04:53my partner, the festival is excellent, we arrived
00:04:56last night, this is a great opportunity for tourists to get to know this...
00:05:00country, Balkan culture and everyday life. And it seems
00:05:03there will be no shortage of choices, during
00:05:05the festival more than 250
00:05:09films will be screened, while 51 works are in
00:05:12the competition program, different stories have
00:05:16a common goal: to make the audience look at the world from
00:05:19a different perspective. What we definitely want
00:05:23is to show the most recent
00:05:26titles from regional cinematography, to bring something
00:05:29fresh, to bring the diversity of what
00:05:33the region offers, to bring various themes
00:05:37of authorial poetics, in fact, a different perspective is what
00:05:40interests us most. This year, young directors from
00:05:44the region have a special place, for them the festival
00:05:48is not only an opportunity to present their film, but also to make
00:05:52important career steps. I think
00:05:56it is not only beautiful, but
00:05:58also necessary that our region has big
00:06:01festivals and the Sarajevo Film
00:06:04Festival is certainly the biggest of all
00:06:08regional festivals and even wider than that, and
00:06:12that kind of mapping and attracting people is what
00:06:16I think is necessary and why we come back,
00:06:20I mean, we come back every year again and again to films that are
00:06:23at that moment in Cannes and Venice,
00:06:26authors who are less visible at all those
00:06:29festivals and who we will not see in cinema distribution afterwards, here we have the opportunity
00:06:33to see that the interest in the festival grows year after
00:06:37year, confirmed by the numbers, during this year's festival
00:06:41about 300 film professionals
00:06:44and even 150,000
00:06:47entries for screenings and accompanying events are expected. The number
00:06:50of tickets sold has already reached the number that
00:06:54last year's festival achieved during its entire
00:06:57duration. But the Sarajevo Film Festival
00:07:00has long not been just a film festival but also a magnet for tourists who
00:07:04want to be part of the festival story, because it is not
00:07:08lived only on the silver screen, but on the streets,
00:07:11squares and cafes of Sarajevo. Dragica
00:07:14Pejaković, N1.
00:07:29It's hot in the city in every sense of the word, high temperatures
00:07:32bring additional health challenges these days, especially when it
00:07:35comes to people with heart and chronic diseases,
00:07:39how much heat burdens. badly affects
00:07:43the cardiovascular system, who needs to be especially careful, how
00:07:46to preserve health during this heatwave, I will discuss
00:07:50that in the continuation with my guest Dr. Jasmena
00:07:54Ćorović Kuburović, specialist in internal medicine,
00:07:57subspecialist in cardiology. Jasmina, good morning, welcome, thank
00:08:00you very much for being with us this morning, thank you Ivana for the invitation
00:08:04and good morning, I wish you such a beautiful view of
00:08:07Sarajevo, well, this certainly has a good effect on health, on
00:08:10the heart, on mood. "when we are in nature and when we are in
00:08:14such an environment, so I assume you are glad that
00:08:18we left the studio a little, that we didn't invite you to the studio this morning, absolutely, it is a special
00:08:22honor and indeed this has a very positive effect
00:08:26on the mood of your guests and on your mood, it is simply
00:08:29easier to work in the shade, at height, with
00:08:32an open view, of course, of course, it is very, very pleasant here, yesterday
00:08:36we were at the festival square, that is,
00:08:40we broadcast Novi Dan from that location." "It's much hotter
00:08:43in the city, it's much less pleasant in the city,
00:08:47although it is pleasant, now generally speaking during
00:08:49the SFF, uh, many people's hearts beat faster
00:08:53during the SFF, people go out more, socialize, connect,
00:08:56how much do those small, but pleasant excitements also
00:09:00have a positive effect on our health, Jasmina, thank you Ivana for asking
00:09:04me that, because you just said that the heart is not just a pump that
00:09:08pushes blood through our body, but it is an organ that feels
00:09:11that..." rejoices in that, that simply loves that happiness,
00:09:15those small excitements, stress certainly doesn't agree with
00:09:19it, and what you said correctly is good, social interaction is
00:09:22really positive for heart health - because
00:09:26endorphins are released, a little dancing, a little music,
00:09:29socializing, is really excellent, unlike loneliness
00:09:32which is an equal cardiovascular risk as
00:09:36smoking, for example, or alcohol consumption, so socializing and SFF are
00:09:40an excellent opportunity, how... "just now, the hot
00:09:43asphalt in the city, it's not pleasant to be outside during
00:09:46the day, it's already past 1 PM,
00:09:50are we approaching the moment when we shouldn't go out without urgent need?
00:09:53Absolutely, especially not older people and small children,
00:09:57they somehow don't have that good heat regulation and
00:10:00it's absolutely the time between 11 and 5 and 6 not to go
00:10:04outside, however, you just said in the city it was probably already
00:10:08night when you were filming, indeed that
00:10:12first..." part when the sun sets around 7 PM and
00:10:15that first part of that nighttime period
00:10:19when that heat still evaporates from the asphalt, from the concrete,
00:10:22it's not smart for someone who already has some
00:10:26diseases to spend time outside, so from
00:10:2911 to 5, but at least until six,
00:10:32so that's the time when there's really no need to expose ourselves to direct
00:10:36sunlight because the temperatures are highest and the UV factor is highest,
00:10:39if we really must, then we should hydrate well
00:10:43before going out and during our stay outside and protect
00:10:47ourselves with creams, SPF, but also with clothes that have
00:10:50a UV factor, when you say hydrate well,
00:10:54somehow... 'm there are some dilemmas, sometimes we were told
00:10:58that we have to drink a certain amount of water in
00:11:02relation to our weight, then from some
00:11:05doctors we hear, drink water only when you are thirsty,
00:11:08what is the smartest thing to do, actually, I don't think any
00:11:12study, no worldwide guideline would agree with
00:11:15that, drink water only when you are thirsty, because when you are thirsty, that's already an alarm that
00:11:19you are dehydrated, so you should drink water continuously, especially in
00:11:23such weather, especially
00:11:27there are people, for example, people who have cardiovascular diseases,
00:11:30who have diabetes, who have some kidney diseases, their
00:11:34feeling of thirst is delayed, so when they feel
00:11:37thirsty, they are already well dehydrated, hydration
00:11:41is the first, the first shield, our first line of defense and
00:11:45so that is the basic thing where we need to put
00:11:48focus on hydration,
00:11:51we must hydrate, there is a known rule of 30 ml
00:11:55per kilogram of body weight, so if you weigh 70, that's
00:11:58somewhere around 2.1 liters without going out, without physical
00:12:02activity, every physical activity implies that you add
00:12:05400 to 600 ml of fluid, so that's the basic
00:12:09thing for hydration, dehydration is very dangerous
00:12:12because dehydration thickens the blood,
00:12:15of course, the body at this temperature, the body at this
00:12:19temperature, the pressure drops, then the heart is twice as
00:12:22stressed to pump that blood. Excuse me, to every
00:12:26part of the body, so indeed
00:12:30hydration, hydration must be discussed very much, as
00:12:33well as sleep, which we don't talk about, because sleep is what
00:12:37rests the body, so it is equally important as
00:12:40hydration, yes, I also assume during these hot summer
00:12:43days when we might have some problems with sleep,
00:12:47nights can also be hot and many people's sleep is disturbed,
00:12:51how to compensate for lack of sleep at night?
00:12:55Is a daytime, midday, afternoon
00:12:58nap recommended? Well, it is certainly recommended, so, if you are
00:13:02at home, if you can, if these are of course
00:13:05patients, it is certainly recommended to sleep for one hour during the day,
00:13:09sleep is simply regeneration for our body,
00:13:12there should be enough of it, there should be at least eight to
00:13:1610 hours even for people who have comorbidities
00:13:20of cardiovascular diseases, cardiovascular diseases themselves, it is certainly
00:13:23recommended, how and in what way? Very often precisely because we are
00:13:27dehydrated, we cannot fall asleep, precisely because we
00:13:30have disturbed sleep, because we get up early in the morning, we cannot fall asleep
00:13:33earlier, if we were to get up, for example, at 7 AM, for example, take
00:13:37a walk for half an hour, an hour until 8, then we could
00:13:40sleep comfortably and nicely at 10 or 11, so that
00:13:44can also be done, there are of course sleep disorders that are then
00:13:48treated from another side not only with advice and changes in habits,
00:13:51that when we listen to advice and everything you are saying about habits... "in
00:13:55fact, somehow when we listen to doctors, we always think that they are talking to the sick,
00:13:59that it applies to people with chronic diseases or, in this case, with
00:14:02cardiovascular diseases, however, how important is that sleep for
00:14:06everyone, how much lack of sleep can cause certain diseases, some of
00:14:10us sleep three or four hours and very often less,
00:14:13what are we doing to our body with that? Thank you very much for asking
00:14:17me that, because I am really asking for myself, that is a topic, that is a topic
00:14:20that we should discuss specially one day, I am extremely
00:14:24engaged in..." habits, sleep as one of
00:14:27the protective factors against cardiovascular diseases, but now you say someone
00:14:31there is not a cardiovascular patient, we think you are only
00:14:35addressing patients, no, you don't know, maybe I
00:14:38myself have a cardiovascular disease, so everything
00:14:42we recommend to patients, we also recommend to healthy people so that they do not
00:14:46get into a situation where they become patients, we never know at what
00:14:49moment we become patients, because if we knew that would be great,
00:14:53what uh... What did you ask me about sleep, so
00:14:57in what way, in what way can we ensure that sleep
00:15:00is, what are we doing to our body when we sleep two, three, four hours during
00:15:04you see, you create
00:15:06a complete imbalance in the body, the body demands
00:15:10that sleep simply has its phases, I will explain that to you specially
00:15:14on one occasion, so if you do not go through all non-
00:15:17REM and REM four times, five times such phases, you
00:15:21are not rested enough, the body needs muscles.
00:15:25they need that recovery and that must be 8 hours, if you
00:15:29sleep three or four hours, you in the first year, second
00:15:32year or five years you will not feel drastic changes, but
00:15:35believe me, you will pay that
00:15:38price in your 50s
00:15:41at the latest. We also talked about hydration,
00:15:44you just talked about how important it is to consume fluids, that is, to drink water not
00:15:48only when we are thirsty, but to consume it throughout the day,
00:15:52so we all know, water is what is most
00:15:55recommended and what perhaps should only be drunk
00:15:58uh during these days with some lemonade or some natural
00:16:02juices, nothing sweetened I suppose, but I wanted to ask you about
00:16:05alcohol given that... people go out a lot during
00:16:09this SFF period and after all generally during the summer, that many people
00:16:13like to drink something alcoholic
00:16:16during evening outings, how does that combination of alcohol
00:16:20and an overheated body during hot summer days and
00:16:23nights affect our body, that is a combination,
00:16:26because alcohol already
00:16:29dehydrates the body, that's one thing, it causes blood clotting,
00:16:33another thing, and the third thing, it dilates blood vessels and
00:16:36so a... "alcohol in combination with heat is really
00:16:40deadly, it is especially deadly when you say one beer on
00:16:43the beach, so that is very serious and dangerous, I was
00:16:46honestly happy, there was recently a ban on serving
00:16:50alcohol, at the Prodigy concert and there were
00:16:54various comments for and against and for, we are a world city and
00:16:58so on, first of all there is a crowd, there
00:17:02is already less oxygen because it's
00:17:06crowded, because we are stressed. to get through, enter despite being outdoors,
00:17:09second thing alcohol, and it's already
00:17:12hot, it hasn't cooled down, it hasn't cooled
00:17:15down before the concert itself, because the concert was around seven or eight o'clock as far as I
00:17:19remember, well, I mean, if I was well informed, on the other hand,
00:17:23alcohol always comes with other things, so it was really protective
00:17:26for our citizens, for those who came only for the Prodigy concert,
00:17:30and after all for the organizers because there were fewer problems,
00:17:34health-wise, alcohol is something we cannot
00:17:38allow, what we cannot talk about and for which cardiology has
00:17:410% tolerance? Well, let's
00:17:44still somehow address especially heart
00:17:47patients, that is, cardiovascular patients, although
00:17:51all advice, as you said, applies to healthy and
00:17:54sick people, what should they especially pay attention to during these
00:17:57heatwaves, during these extremely high
00:18:00temperatures? First of all to hydration, which you
00:18:04emphasized, they really must hydrate. The way
00:18:08to do that is to put a pitcher of water and drink nonstop, because they forget
00:18:12about thirst, so simply the feeling that they have a pitcher of water on the table
00:18:15in front of them, already prevents dehydration itself. Second
00:18:19thing, diuretics, ACE inhibitors for blood pressure, medications,
00:18:23beta-blockers, all of that slightly changes our
00:18:26tolerance to these heats and everything else, so it is
00:18:30mandatory not to accidentally stop
00:18:34taking medications themselves, but on the other hand, because of
00:18:37medications, one must be careful enough, because they
00:18:40already change, for example, beta-blockers, they lower
00:18:43heart rate, but sometimes heart
00:18:47rate is already the first sign that something is happening, precisely because
00:18:51that first sign is delayed in patients taking beta-blockers,
00:18:55they need to be especially careful, what the heart
00:18:58does in summer, the heart speaks softly, but we just
00:19:01need to listen to it enough, visit the doctor in
00:19:05time, it's better to visit him 10 times without reason than
00:19:08to be late once, so pay attention to your heart and
00:19:12listen to your heart while it whispers, thank you very much
00:19:15Dr. Jasmina, thank you for being our guest this morning, it is always a pleasure
00:19:19to talk to you, dear viewers, Dr. Jasmina Ćorović
00:19:22Kuburović, as we like to call her, the heart doctor, was
00:19:26our guest, the Heart of Sarajevo is not
00:19:29just an award at the SFF, the Heart of Sarajevo is music
00:19:33and with music we will conclude this new day, stay with us until
00:19:3611.
00:19:56Stay with us, dear viewers, we are here until 11:00 and before our
00:20:00musical guests join us, let's see what temperatures we can expect
00:20:04during these hot summer days.
00:20:57You are watching a new day, the morning program of N1
00:21:00Television, this Sunday we are with you
00:21:03live from Zmajevac in
00:21:06Sarajevo, this beautiful location known for
00:21:09its viewpoint and this wonderful
00:21:13panorama from which the entire city is visible, that is,
00:21:16the Old Town is visible, the center, the surrounding
00:21:20mountains Trebević, Igman, Bjelašnica, we
00:21:23are this morning in a slightly more casual edition compared to what
00:21:27you are used to when we are in the studio, this morning
00:21:30our dear guests from Pop Rock School Sarajevo are with us,
00:21:34given the fact, well, that we are live this morning throughout
00:21:38the new day in all three N1 centers in Serbia, Croatia
00:21:41and Bosnia and Herzegovina, we wanted to focus not only on
00:21:45the SFF which is most current these days, but on music
00:21:49itself. Precisely on pop rock music for which
00:21:53Sarajevo is known after all, I will ask my guests to
00:21:57join me a little more spontaneously than you are
00:22:00used to, to talk a little before they sing
00:22:04and play one
00:22:07song, so we are returning to what Sarajevo is
00:22:10recognizable for, just as much as for its
00:22:14streets and views like this one from Zmajevac, our guests are
00:22:18young musicians from Poprak School. Sarajevo, Sumeja Alijagić,
00:22:21Alise Nančević and Mak Bešlija who will conclude the morning
00:22:25with the song Sarajevo, my love, before that we will briefly
00:22:28talk about music, young talents and
00:22:31the city to which this song is dedicated. Good
00:22:35morning, welcome, thank you very much for being with us this morning, my
00:22:38guests have joined me, we are a little
00:22:41limited in space here, but I believe that all your attention
00:22:44is drawn to what is behind us, that is, this
00:22:47panorama and a beautiful view of...
00:22:50Sarajevo itself, so I will first talk to
00:22:53Sumeja, good morning, good morning, thank you very much for coming and for
00:22:57always brightening our new day with music, for choosing this
00:23:01beautiful song with which we will end the new day, the SFF is
00:23:04underway and these days we talk a lot about the Heart of
00:23:07Sarajevo awards, numerous love songs have somehow been written about Sarajevo,
00:23:11for many, the association with Sarajevo is precisely love, I have to
00:23:14ask you what this city means to you and why you chose
00:23:18"My Love" for today's guest appearance. First Sumeja, then your
00:23:21colleagues. Well, we were born in this city,
00:23:25we grew up in this city and this city gave us this opportunity
00:23:29that you honored us with today, so thank you
00:23:32for that, we somehow think it is only appropriate to present ourselves
00:23:36with that song today. First Ali, then Mak,
00:23:39what is Sarajevo to you, but how do
00:23:42you feel these days when the city is full of tourists, when guests
00:23:46come to us and when the atmosphere is somehow good and
00:23:50positive, it's really wonderful for me,
00:23:54any city,
00:23:56whatever city it is, my wonderful Sarajevo, we are here
00:23:59also with my wonderful friends to present the city in the best
00:24:03light, to play one of the most beautiful songs dedicated to
00:24:06our city and so, Mak
00:24:10how is it during SFF in the city
00:24:12itself, do the crowds bother you, I suppose it doesn't bother you young people
00:24:16at all, there are actually a few older people who say: "oh, I don't
00:24:20like Sarajevo during SFF, it's too noisy,
00:24:23too crowded, I suppose you like all of this, well,
00:24:27as for the crowds you just mentioned, it doesn't bother me, I'm
00:24:30glad to see so many people, so many folks gathering
00:24:33for something that is actually significant and beautiful, it doesn't bother
00:24:37me generally, it's nice to see, mm, Poprock
00:24:40School has been gathering young musicians for years, I have to
00:24:44ask you about that
00:24:47experience, that is, that part of your life." What did you actually
00:24:51find there and well, can I, you can all
00:24:54go one by one, the microphone is with you, so we can start with you, well, I think
00:24:58regarding Poprock School, I discovered that music is actually
00:25:01a very beautiful thing, that it, as I would say,
00:25:05unlocks new doors and new, as I would say,
00:25:09situations and so on, Sumeja
00:25:12how long have you been in Poprock School and what is it like
00:25:15to be a member of Poprock School Sarajevo mm, well, honestly I've been
00:25:20in Poprock School for a long time, since I was nine years old we've been in Poprock School and I took
00:25:23a small break which was enough to realize what
00:25:27I actually needed and it was necessary to come back and continue
00:25:31this path and I'm glad I continued because through Poprock
00:25:34School I met these guys and many other
00:25:38friends and musicians with whom we work
00:25:42and socialize every day, so we know that you recently had guests from
00:25:45London, well, now we are focused on guests and tourists who come to us, you
00:25:49had... colleagues actually from Great Britain who were
00:25:53delighted, right, but when they arrived
00:25:55their impressions were that they couldn't believe that you had almost everything better than them
00:25:59and better instruments, better conditions for work somehow.
00:26:03it's special, I'm sure both the energy and the connection that
00:26:06exists among all of you and the closeness in the end that makes us all unique
00:26:10here, we have that pop rock
00:26:13school as a universal concept, isn't it? Sarajevo is known for
00:26:17its pop rock and its wonderful music, so
00:26:20the people from Great Britain were so
00:26:24nicely here, they fit in nicely with
00:26:28all of us, and we had such a wonderful time socializing and had
00:26:31some similar things to say to
00:26:34each other, acoustic trio,
00:26:37that's you three actually and as Sumeja
00:26:41said, you found each other in all of that, in
00:26:44that wonderful functioning, Mima Zukan
00:26:47helps you, who actually guides you and who is
00:26:51your mentor, to whom thanks, because we always easily agree with her first
00:26:54of all for your guest appearances and for
00:26:58performances, what is it that you maybe plan when it comes to joint
00:27:01performances? or possible competitions in the next
00:27:04period, well for now, I would say we are working on
00:27:08the repertoire, we are working on yes, because we are, by
00:27:11chance, by chance we found each other, the three of us, through
00:27:15some daily gigs, evening performances and
00:27:18the next step for us is definitely a more
00:27:22regular gig, mm to work on our
00:27:26public performances, our repertoire, to try to
00:27:29be better every day, and then we'll slowly move on.
00:27:33Thank you very much for coming this morning, for being our guests, for not finding it
00:27:37too difficult to come up, even to this location, but I believe you will enjoy singing
00:27:40"Sarajevo, My Love" in such an environment,
00:27:44thank you very much, before you start, I will just greet our
00:27:48viewers, thank them for
00:27:51being with us throughout this weekend this morning from
00:27:559 to 11, all
00:27:57missed content can be found on our portal eninfo.ba
00:28:01on our... portals, of course in Serbia and
00:28:05Croatia, stay tuned to the N1 Television program, and for
00:28:08the end Pop Rock, school, acoustic trio and Sarajevo,
00:28:12my love, goodbye, come to us at SFF in
00:28:15Sarajevo,
00:28:19you can
00:29:02Come on.
