00:00:00railway station through Hum further towards
00:00:04Vogošća, also the railway line that goes along the eastern side of
00:00:07the airport towards the hill "my own" (brdo mojima), so that is the concept of the urban
00:00:11plan which represents the vision of this city. It doesn't include
00:00:14the small promenade along Miljacka, the profession
00:00:18says that it's not
00:00:22exactly viewed within
00:00:25the regulated riverbed, it's somehow rigidly observed
00:00:28and they don't see that there is riverbank activation,
00:00:32construction of a promenade, what
00:00:34we wished would happen precisely at this
00:00:38location? If we talk about the location of the promenade
00:00:42and the extension of Wilson's Promenade, that is defined by regulatory plans
00:00:45quadrant b, which needs to be
00:00:48adopted. I don't know why it's not being adopted in the council. I was a
00:00:52city councilor maybe ten years ago, when that
00:00:55regulatory plan was in draft and the problem then was
00:00:59its... width which I think was proposed by the city
00:01:02administration at the time to be 12 m, and the profession said that
00:01:06it was too little, it should be, I think, at least 16 m. So
00:01:09with the adoption of the regulatory plan that defines that,
00:01:13foresees, it will be foreseen, the promenade must be foreseen, that
00:01:17is stated in the instructions for the preparation of that regulatory plan. So the problem
00:01:21was then 10, 12 years ago when the width was at the city council,
00:01:24so there was no question of whether there would be that promenade and the extension
00:01:28of Wilson's promenade towards... towards the city, it was just about
00:01:32whether it would be 12 or 16 or some other
00:01:35dimensions. So the promenade was not in question. What worries
00:01:38us also in Sarajevo is the water situation,
00:01:41we don't have, and this is one of my questions after
00:01:45we finish this topic about the urban
00:01:48plan, water protection zones are
00:01:51also controversial, mm is the protection
00:01:55of the Sarajevo field spring and protective
00:01:58measures around this spring, I know... what is happening due to construction on
00:02:01Bjelašnica and the poisoned source of the river
00:02:04Bosna, are they determined by this urban
00:02:08plan? By another document which is in the parliamentary
00:02:12procedure, a decision on the water protection zone
00:02:15uh these things are defined more precisely and I
00:02:19responsibly claim that this decision is far better than the existing one which
00:02:23does not damage it at all. So existing, how do you respond to the accusations
00:02:26of councilors, ecologists and local...
00:02:30views that the new plan indirectly opens up space for construction
00:02:34that we organize, appetites near water protection zones and the lungs
00:02:37of the city? mm so I respond, it's not
00:02:40true, so I cannot respond to something that is really not true. People who
00:02:44have not read the document, people who include
00:02:48Trebević in the urban plan, that's what I saw in a comment, which is not
00:02:51part of the urban plan, so we are talking about the urban
00:02:54part of the Sarajevo Canton, that is the scope
00:02:57of that urban plan. So a lot of things that appear
00:03:01on air through social networks, these are just bombastic
00:03:05statements from people who call themselves experts. The essence
00:03:08is that the profession stands behind this document, that it was unanimously adopted by the
00:03:12council of the urban planning institute
00:03:16for planning, to whom I would like to thank on this occasion. It is a big
00:03:19job. So none of those activists, none of those
00:03:23experts were calling out in 20, for example, 2011,
00:03:26the then government, why didn't it? Yes, I was working on that topic then. According
00:03:30to those same activists who have reminded every government so far
00:03:33about pollution, the work on a new urban plan has not started.
00:03:36In 2011, it should have started because it's the same as 2015. And
00:03:40why didn't it in 2014? Why didn't it in
00:03:442016? Activists, experts from
00:03:48citizen associations plan, but the government. No, no, no, the government, why didn't
00:03:51the government then, and we say that it took courage, that's right,
00:03:55it took courage and vision to start that because
00:03:59this construction mafia that built
00:04:02mastodons in Novi Sarajevo next to the emergency room,
00:04:06it was possible during that period of gray zone
00:04:10for those buildings to happen. With the adoption
00:04:13of the urban plan, such buildings will not exist, there will be no
00:04:16legalization of previous projects. So
00:04:19the law on legalization is coming, it will be this
00:04:23at the Sarajevo Canton Assembly with clear rules, over 40,000
00:04:26buildings in the Sarajevo Canton will be legalized, which are...
00:04:30illegal. That does not mean that the law on legalization will legalize everything,
00:04:34but it will legalize what is resolved in terms of property, what is resolved in
00:04:37the regulatory plan that those buildings have, or on the other hand,
00:04:41for example, where there are no landslides, so that law will pass and I am proud
00:04:45of that law, it is the first time that a law on legalization is passed. Until
00:04:49now we have had some decisions according to which
00:04:52buildings were legalized in Sarajevo Canton, this is the first time
00:04:55a legal solution and the last time, the tender is being completed.
00:04:59mm for taking ortho
00:05:02photos of Sarajevo Canton. The moment Sarajevo Canton
00:05:05is photographed, ortho photo, only those buildings will be able to be
00:05:08legalized under these conditions, even if they were not built according to...
00:05:13the law, no, no, no, so, already
00:05:16existing and this one that will be adopted, that is, you are preparing three laws
00:05:20that are in direct
00:05:22connection. Of course, the urban plan we are talking about is being adopted, if
00:05:26the assembly adopts it, the decision on
00:05:29legalization, that is, three decisions, decisions on legalization, decisions
00:05:33on the protection of drinking water sources, so the Sarajevo
00:05:37field, that is a prerequisite for the legalization of buildings, that the building is found
00:05:40on the ortho photo image. And will happen in the coming months in
00:05:44Sarajevo Canton, that is the first prerequisite. The second prerequisite is that property
00:05:48relations are resolved. The third prerequisite is that that building fits into
00:05:51the regulatory plan where it is located, that it is not on landslides and so on. So
00:05:55not all buildings will be legalized, so there are
00:05:59legal conditions that are foreseen that
00:06:02will this legalize buildings in the coming
00:06:06period. We could talk about this topic for hours, it is very
00:06:09interesting and what you
00:06:13told us here in this studio, we will monitor what happens
00:06:16in the next
00:06:19period.
00:06:22We must talk about other topics, for example about the resignation you submitted
00:06:25they say under public pressure and protests
00:06:29after the protests of citizens after the tragic
00:06:33traffic accident that shook all
00:06:35of us. How do you comment on the accusations that it was
00:06:39just calming the public at that moment?
00:06:43while in reality
00:06:45all those important decisions are being made in
00:06:49Sarajevo Canton? So, it was not any calming
00:06:52of the public, it was my personal act and I stand by it to this day,
00:06:56I called both publicly and privately
00:06:59and in thousands of other ways the parliamentary majority
00:07:03and the opposition, because the same opposition a few months ago, maybe you called
00:07:07your partners from the government who at that moment resented your
00:07:10act. That's right, so there was a series of meetings about
00:07:14the establishment of a new government of Sarajevo Canton, unfortunately
00:07:17due to various reasons, it did not happen,
00:07:21and here at this stage, what are
00:07:24the relations like, how are you bringing this mandate to an end?
00:07:28When we talk about the Trojka coalition, we are finishing the projects that
00:07:31we started, one of those projects is u5 which
00:07:35started much, much earlier this one. We are in good
00:07:38relations, so there are things, are you talking to Minister
00:07:41Šteta. Currently, so I talk to each of my ministers
00:07:45and every Thursday this government has its session,
00:07:48at least once a week, and I am really proud of the intensity
00:07:52of the governments we have had in this period. Things are lagging
00:07:56and indeed this uh we all have a professional relationship
00:07:59within the government. We don't agree on all
00:08:03things, we sometimes don't even agree within the party, let alone
00:08:07talking about a coalition made up of three political
00:08:11entities, but... In summary, the moment the mandate
00:08:14passes and I will be proud of the things we have done and
00:08:18this made available to citizens
00:08:21now their mandates from October 4th to decide
00:08:25how and what we did in the canton of Sarajevo and you
00:08:29are on the list but on the compensatory list
00:08:32why if you think you did your job well in this
00:08:36therefore it is a technical technical matter two lists are submitted
00:08:40a legal obligation.
00:08:44That's right, that's right, and I thank my colleagues within
00:08:47the party who first nominated me to be on the regular list
00:08:51and then also to be, does that mean that you will no longer take on an executive
00:08:55position? No, it doesn't mean that, it doesn't mean,
00:08:58mm, I have to talk about the communal image
00:09:01of Sarajevo, you are much criticized for the cleanliness
00:09:04of the city, which we must admit, is not at
00:09:07an enviable level. We had uncleaned
00:09:11snow this winter, garbage
00:09:15all around us and thank you for the poem we heard recently
00:09:18about Germans who praised the cleanliness of the city
00:09:22as if we don't see what's happening, and we see, uh, Mr.
00:09:26Vuk, a lot of garbage that is not collected
00:09:29regularly, a lot of uncleaned
00:09:32parks where children play and
00:09:36many problems in this segment.
00:09:39Uh, they say that your government did not show
00:09:43the ability to manage the communal enterprise Rad. How do you
00:09:46assess it? I am generally dissatisfied
00:09:49with the communal situation in Sarajevo regarding
00:09:53waste collection. Unfortunately, several reasons
00:09:56contributed to this, namely the lack of continuity in that sector. We
00:10:00have had, I think, four or five ministers in that sector in the past five or six
00:10:04years. Where there is no continuity,
00:10:07there are no
00:10:10visible results in that regard. mm On the one hand, on
00:10:13the other hand, these are neglected enterprises and I think
00:10:17that this will require a lot of time, energy
00:10:21and a lot of money that we, for example, due to
00:10:24due to. the infamous ponder, we could not, if I am not mistaken, you had the director of that
00:10:28enterprise, the director to be precise, until
00:10:312021 or 22, I am not sure.
00:10:35This, therefore, will require a lot of money, a lot of energy. What could
00:10:38have been done and was not, for example, during her mandate? Uh, so that the situation
00:10:42improves, could vehicles have been
00:10:44procured? No, so for waste removal, a lot of large-scale
00:10:48excavation was done for removing,
00:10:51for example, cattle that die in areas
00:10:55around... Sarajevo, for example,
00:10:58one of the problems I heard from workers, or rather
00:11:01drivers of the communal enterprise, is that they do not have adequate
00:11:05vehicles for that, for remedying such damage that
00:11:08occurs. So it's a completely different way of removing dead
00:11:11cattle. The communal enterprise Rad does that, there are other procedures,
00:11:15legal veterinary stations, in what way
00:11:19would it be dangerous for the communal enterprise to have, I don't know,
00:11:22what kind of conditions.
00:11:29To return to the topic, so I am not satisfied with the communal cleanliness. That is
00:11:33the next task of the new Sarajevo Canton government which
00:11:36will have to invest money, a lot of money and a lot
00:11:40of mm time, energy to
00:11:43raise that segment. We recognized this as our party, so in, I don't know,
00:11:47in the election materials of our party, you will see that that
00:11:50segment is heavily underlined where
00:11:53we show not dissatisfaction, we show in which direction the next
00:11:57four years the government should work, to buy appropriate
00:12:01machinery, to renew the human factor so that
00:12:05in that way the citizens of Sarajevo Canton
00:12:08uh raise their satisfaction regarding
00:12:12the cleanliness of the city. Parallel to that, the communal police will be
00:12:15mm raised, so we have adopted it, so these are
00:12:19parallel processes that will have to happen in the coming
00:12:23period. All segments could not be equally this one, we don't have
00:12:27much time left, we have many important topics left. In ViK it
00:12:31seems the situation is not better. You say huge
00:12:33sums of money are needed, a huge loan
00:12:36was taken from the EBRD to
00:12:40repair what can be repaired, replace what urgently
00:12:43needs to be replaced, but the citizens of Sarajevo, we are witnesses,
00:12:47don't have water at night,
00:12:49again reductions. How do you explain that? So a huge loan
00:12:53was taken, 50 million convertible marks was taken, but I
00:12:57think that is only one tenth of the money that needs to be invested in the next
00:13:00ten years in the water supply network of Sarajevo Canton. Some
00:13:04pipes should have been replaced before the war, so the lifespan of some
00:13:07pipes in our network should have
00:13:10been replaced before the war, and we are talking today
00:13:1430 years after the war. So that 50 million
00:13:17is one tenth of the amount that needs to be invested in the coming period.
00:13:21mm They work as much as they can, so...
00:13:25"in 2026 that is, they had
00:13:281700 repairs, for example, last year it
00:13:32was about 100, so they are increasing their capacities, work
00:13:36is being done on that, and this one. As for water rationing, really
00:13:40the drought is incredible, it's not just in Sarajevo, it's happening in
00:13:44all of Europe. I am, I am surprised with
00:13:48this bad water supply and sewerage infrastructure
00:13:51that we have, where we have a huge percentage
00:13:55of water leaking from the system itself. Are we buying water from Jahorina
00:13:58stream? Uh, we have
00:14:02yes, we have a contract with, that is one of the ways in which the city
00:14:05of Sarajevo, why don't we buy enough then to have water all
00:14:09day in 20, well, because they don't have, so the problem
00:14:12of water supply is not a problem of Sarajevo Canton and Jahorina, but a problem of Bosnia and
00:14:16Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, the whole, whole, whole
00:14:19of Europe, because there is no precipitation. So the
00:14:23moment, that is one, I am surprised how we have water now considering
00:14:27what kind of system we live in where over
00:14:3060% of water is lost, but these are not all excuses, so people
00:14:34are working in the field, this one. I am in daily communication with
00:14:38the management of water supply and sewerage and I want all the things that are
00:14:41happening, repairs and reductions, to be faster.
00:14:45Unfortunately, we don't have much time left, I had many more questions, but
00:14:49let's draw a line, very briefly, at the end of your
00:14:52mandate, the election campaign. The mandate was
00:14:55marked by protests, your resignation, several times,
00:14:58the communal disorder we talked about,
00:15:02accusations of concrete urbanization, which
00:15:05we also talked about in the urban plan, and these are all some
00:15:09negative aspects, but what do you think the citizens
00:15:12of Sarajevo will remember this mandate and the government of Nihad
00:15:16Uk? Well, you mentioned the things that are
00:15:19negative and you already drew a line that it was marked, it will be marked,
00:15:23I think, by new trams, new... and trolleybus, new tram
00:15:26lines, purchase of purchase of
00:15:30helicopters, capacitation of the police department with
00:15:33mm over 800 new police officers. 100%.
00:15:37million invested in infrastructure of primary and secondary
00:15:41education, we have subsidies for kindergartens, maternity
00:15:45benefits, for extended stay, free
00:15:47textbooks, this, so digitalization
00:15:51of processes, so we really have a wide beginning
00:15:54of the construction of the Arsena Museum, so I visited it the other day, an incredible
00:15:58scene how quickly they have already progressed, the construction of the university library which
00:16:01is expected to be opened in the coming weeks or
00:16:05months, the completion of the Academy of Arts.
00:16:07These are all projects that will remain behind this
00:16:11government, behind me, and truly where I will be proud
00:16:15on the day I finish my mandate, to walk upright in
00:16:18Ferhadija and Titova and all the streets of our canton,
00:16:21that stands for me. There were problems
00:16:24and there will be problems after me. So no job can be
00:16:28completed especially within four years of a mandate, but I will truly be
00:16:32proud of the things that we have done as
00:16:35our party, as a coalition, as... myself, we wish you
00:16:39good luck in your future work and thank you for your time, thank
00:16:42you. Next we go to a short break, and we were talking to
00:16:46Nihad Vuk, Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, about his resignation.

00:19:05When we talk about heart health. We most often think about blood
00:19:09pressure, cholesterol and blood vessels.
00:19:12However, there is one mineral without which our heart cannot
00:19:15function properly for even a single day.
00:19:19It's magnesium, and today we're talking about it with Dr.
00:19:23Jasmina Ćorović Kuburović, an internist
00:19:26and cardiologist known as the heart doctor.
00:19:30Dr. Jasmina, how important is magnesium actually for
00:19:34the heart? It is extremely important. Every
00:19:37heartbeat depends on the proper conduction
00:19:40of electrical impulses through the heart muscle itself.
00:19:44Magnesium participates precisely in these processes, but also in
00:19:47the creation of energy that is needed by every heart
00:19:51cell. That is why cardiologists consider it one of the most important
00:19:55minerals for normal heart function. And what is
00:19:58particularly interesting about Pure Magnesium 5? What
00:20:02distinguishes it is the fact that it contains five organic
00:20:05forms of magnesium. Citrate and bisglycinate
00:20:09are particularly interesting due to good absorption, as well as
00:20:12magnesium malate and succinate which participate in energy production in
00:20:16cells. One sachet provides
00:20:18375 mg of magnesium, which is 100%
00:20:22of the recommended daily intake. Why is the combination
00:20:26of Pure Magnesium 5 and
00:20:28Omega-3 good? Because together
00:20:32they support different aspects of cardiovascular
00:20:35health. Magnesium contributes to the normal functioning
00:20:39of the heart, muscles, but also the nervous system, while
00:20:42omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA
00:20:45contribute to the normal function of the heart
00:20:49and contribute to maintaining
00:20:52normal brain function, and that is why this is a very
00:20:55interesting combination for people who want to take care of their heart, their brain,
00:20:59but throughout the year. Thank you, doctor, this
00:21:03combination is especially important for all of you who have
00:21:07hormonal imbalance, restlessness or irritability, for frequent
00:21:11headaches and stress, for bad mood, it is recommended
