00:01:14simply becomes a thing of the past.
00:01:17Developed with the most modern technology, it corrects posture,
00:01:20aligning the vertebrae and spine and reducing

00:03:37This year's Sarajevo Runfest carries a strong humanitarian
00:03:41message: let's run together for children's smiles, runners
00:03:44can offer their kilometers for 20 marks, all
00:03:48collected amount will be directed to support children involved
00:03:51in mentoring programs, in what way citizens and
00:03:55companies can join the action and what awaits
00:03:59the participants. of the upcoming festival, in a new day we talk to
00:04:02Erol Mujanović, one of the organizers,
00:04:06good morning and welcome, good morning, thank you, how
00:04:09does this concept of buying kilometers work,
00:04:13I know it has been explained many times so far, but
00:04:16it's worth mentioning again how citizens
00:04:19who will participate in the race can sell kilometers
00:04:22and register their kilometers, and how
00:04:26donors can do it even
00:04:29if they don't want to run, well, in principle we have simplified
00:04:33the equation to the maximum, first its goal is to use in some way
00:04:37all that mass, I can freely say good positive people, because
00:04:40runners always make a difference, they are always ready for socially responsible actions,
00:04:44they always respond in a great way, anyone who wants to sell
00:04:48kilometers, he publishes on his social networks, I'm selling kilometers, I'm running
00:04:51five or 21 tomorrow, colleagues from his
00:04:54environment, friends, families apply saying I'm buying the first, I'm the second, I'm
00:04:58the 10th, I'm the 15th, they pay...
00:05:00directly to the recipient organization, so it cannot be cleaner and more transparent
00:05:04regarding money flows, because in your post when you sell
00:05:07kilometers, you publish what you support and to which account you should pay, that's
00:05:11pretty much all there is. From my experience, a couple of elite runners from
00:05:15BiH sold kilometers yesterday and
00:05:18the day before yesterday, they sold an entire half marathon in two hours, that's
00:05:2221 km / 20 marks
00:05:24420, mm and with that you finance
00:05:28the outing of a mentor and a child without parental care, they go out once
00:05:31a week or do homework, go for cakes or to the cinema, in some way
00:05:35the life and week of that child are made better, so with a relatively
00:05:38modest amount we can make a difference, that is very important, and the kilo...
00:05:42so they are sold like that, everyone announces it on their social networks and all those who are
00:05:46interested in buying, tell him which ones they are buying, just make the payment,
00:05:50we will talk about the mentoring program itself which is really wonderful, older
00:05:53sister, older brother, older sister, yes, m, how much
00:05:57funds have been collected so far, you said that the most elite
00:06:01runners have already sold their kilometers, but there are
00:06:04many of them, about a thousand overnight stays even you have
00:06:06during this festival in
00:06:10Sarajevo, that... some companies have also
00:06:13contacted us who will buy a kilo? Well, in principle, we always draw the line
00:06:17in the week after the half marathon, because some people still need a few days to
00:06:21make the payment and so on, so we always check that with the organizer, but
00:06:25traditionally several thousand marks are collected during each
00:06:28weekend of the runfest and also, for example,
00:06:31during the Sarajevo Night Tenner in July this year
00:06:35there was, so that's approximately the sum, sometimes it's significantly
00:06:38more, sometimes a little less and so on, it depends on how big the... stress
00:06:42how many people in some way manage to follow it or publish, can
00:06:46those who run recreationally also sell their kilometers, well
00:06:50yes uh and I assume they
00:06:53do it on their social networks, what are the
00:06:57recreational races you will have this year, well in
00:07:00principle all races are for both professionals and recreational runners, and
00:07:04the time people plan to run separates them into
00:07:07professional or recreational, however the fact is that you have
00:07:1095%
00:07:13do not live on running in some way, these are ordinary people who
00:07:17come to achieve either their personal best or who have trained for several
00:07:20months and want to win that finisher's medal and Adidas
00:07:24T-shirt that awaits them at the finish line, so the largest number are
00:07:27recreational runners there yes, to whom are
00:07:31these funds specifically intended for children without parental
00:07:34that mentoring program
00:07:38which would greatly
00:07:41o... facilitate growing up, well that's how it is, that's how it is, that's how it is
00:07:44so the older brother older sister
00:07:47program, and the mentors who take them out were in the place of those children
00:07:51they take out, so in that way
00:07:53uh it almost couldn't be better, let's explain it, so we have it in
00:07:57several cities, so m the foundation that implements it
00:08:01has it in several cities, it's bad that we mention those
00:08:04narkone and
00:08:07the mentoring foundation, now I have a slightly longer name
00:08:11this Ivana Radić. director, she also has a certain number of guest appearances,
00:08:15of course, so I think she will deal with all that, now I don't know the exact
00:08:18number of cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina where they operate, there are
00:08:22several of them, in both entities and in Bosnia and Herzegovina and so
00:08:26on, and so the mentors have responsibilities, if you want they get a child with
00:08:30whom they socialize, whom they are obliged to help,
00:08:33these children they take out are most often children without parental care or who have
00:08:37certain difficulties so they are helped with schooling, so
00:08:41how can I say, they don't stay in a
00:08:44m peaceful suitable environment and that's why it's important to provide them with that help and
00:08:48mentors are always when they go out with them or sometimes they help them, I said, with
00:08:52homework, sometimes they do something else they have fun so these children very
00:08:55often with great impatience and joy wait
00:08:59for that moment in the week when the mentor will take them out so that's
00:09:02approximately what I think, this is the 19th year of the Sarajevo Run
00:09:05Fest, I had the luck and privilege to found that
00:09:08marathon association our goal has always been to deal with socially
00:09:12responsible things to make an impact, because when we generate and bring thousands
00:09:16of runners, when everyone does a little, that again creates a huge
00:09:19mass of good deeds, so this has always been our guiding
00:09:22principle, besides the pure enjoyment of
00:09:25running, yes, since it's a festival, it lasts two
00:09:28days, what will happen, what awaits
00:09:32the citizens and guests of
00:09:35Sarajevo, all participants are expected, tomorrow
00:09:39is the Bambini Marathon, so a race for children. up
00:09:42to six years old, I mean, the race is a shorter
00:09:45race, 200 m, just for the kids to have some fun, run, however
00:09:49a very good and rich entertainment program awaits them,
00:09:53there will be a magician and so on, a real family, real,
00:09:56that's right, that's right, because that's where we actually wanted to initiate children into running festivals from an early age, to start doing
00:10:00sports as early as possible, to see it in a nice and fun
00:10:04light, because there are again a lot of research that shows if we talk about
00:10:07long-term health and healthy habits in life that the earlier
00:10:11you start, the greater the chance of a good outcome later in
00:10:14life, and Sunday is again a little more serious, so
00:10:18we have Persil
00:10:21Sarajevo Half Marathon, a fun run race that will be.
00:10:25a kind of masquerade, runners will receive
00:10:28a mask when they get their number, so they can mask themselves, have fun, its distance is 2.7
00:10:32km, we are left with the Metro Media 5K race, so at the same
00:10:36time as the half marathon starts and these two races will have the largest
00:10:39number of runners, so the five-kilometer race as we call it and the half marathon
00:10:43to which people come from almost 50 foreign countries, we have
00:10:47participants from South America, Asia, most European
00:10:51countries, so these are really people who have put Sarajevo on their
00:10:55map and running plans that they make
00:10:58at the beginning of the year and who come here and often stay for several days, much longer
00:11:02than the race, to visit either the region or the whole country,
00:11:06so a lot of good things will happen this weekend. Uh, what are
00:11:09the key service information for
00:11:11the citizens of Sarajevo regarding changes in traffic
00:11:14regulations and the routes of the
00:11:17runners? Uh, well, in agreement with the cantonal and municipal
00:11:21authorities and with the police with whom we have excellent cooperation from the very beginning of the routes.
00:11:25I can freely say that they are optimized in some way to minimally disturb the life
00:11:28of the city and traffic, in front of the Red Apple in Marin Dvor
00:11:32will be the start, it goes towards Ćengić Villa and Dolec Maliti
00:11:36Ćengić Vila, it returns the same way back, it passes
00:11:39through Vilsonovo two times, so that's approximately that section with one
00:11:43small entrance towards Kovačići and Grbavica
00:11:46Stadium, that's pretty much all of the, let's say, city center
00:11:50where traffic will be partially
00:11:53suspended, and the start of the race is at 8:30
00:11:57in the morning, in about two and a half to three hours there will be no trace
00:12:01of the race on the entire route, so in principle that's
00:12:04fine, why run, besides
00:12:07all the benefits we have for health,
00:12:11uh, what else can you highlight
00:12:14as the main, main gain for everyone,
00:12:17main, if we start from a completely different, how can I say,
00:12:21individual perspective, to get a phenomenal finisher's medal and
00:12:24an Adidas. T-shirt which the medal remains for a lifetime, we remember
00:12:28a beautiful event, running is a phenomenal way and tool for
00:12:32self-improvement, where you develop everything that can make you much more successful
00:12:36in your career and in every other aspect of life, not to mention the sale of kilometers
00:12:40we talked about, so in principle you can with one activity
00:12:43help yourself and others and I think that is already
00:12:47a nice list of great reasons, yes
00:12:50of course and maybe get interested
00:12:54in... running which
00:12:57is also a recommendation of the World Health Organization as well as
00:13:00many experts for
00:13:04maintaining both physical and mental absolutely
00:13:07absolutely, so more and more people are getting into running, when
00:13:11you started nobody was running very rarely, very every
00:13:15morning we see at least five six runners that yes
00:13:18a kind of revolution has been made, a truly positive one in our
00:13:22country, now you have someone running day and night. on Wilson's Promenade, when
00:13:26we started, people tended
00:13:30you, to look with wonder, to comment, to ask what you were running from
00:13:34or yes, what are we running from, who are we running from, so
00:13:37I mean it's standard the introduction of changes, I mean it follows its curve like
00:13:41everywhere, it's not, how can I say, we
00:13:44pretty much hoped for that, however now it's great, what's
00:13:48important for people to understand, there's a huge segment of running that's like
00:13:51part of sports tourism and then people travel around the world. here in the region
00:13:55they go to races, experiencing a special city if you run
00:13:59the Paris Marathon or the London one, those cities stop for you to follow if
00:14:03Leticia on te then
00:14:05there's a lottery drawing the majors are a bit harder and more demanding because there's
00:14:09huge demand but I don't know Paris Marathon Vienna Budapest
00:14:13you can get a number from one or the other time
00:14:16then London from London it's
00:14:19a quasi impossible mission have you succeeded yes
00:14:22I've finished all the majors from 8%. of them from
00:14:26Boston, Tokyo, Sydney, Cape Town, but they are
00:14:29not easy to get into, that's what I want to tell you because year after
00:14:33year the demand for them grows, but without going into, how can I say
00:14:37the majors are some kind of crowning achievement, but someone can have
00:14:40a perfectly good running lifestyle, travel around the
00:14:44region without dealing with majors, because before
00:14:46the majors I was at thirty other marathons where you get in
00:14:49easily, where it's not necessarily full
00:14:52sold out, you can go to... "I ran a lot in the Middle East,
00:14:56it depends on which zone of the world attracts you, there
00:15:00you make it pleasant with useful, you make it your vacation, annual leave and
00:15:04so on, I mean it's special this community, what are its
00:15:07advantages, well anywhere in the world,
00:15:11well I think runners understand each other, they will always
00:15:14help each other, they will exchange some tips and tricks, uh,
00:15:18good practices, they can invite each other,
00:15:22introduce you to some race organizers in some..." world where you might not
00:15:26know enough, so in principle it's really
00:15:28a high degree of readiness to help
00:15:32each other and that solidarity, those nice
00:15:35interpersonal relationships, that's actually what's... especially valuable today in this world where
00:15:39everyone somehow tends to deal too much with themselves and
00:15:42to distance themselves from each other, that face-to-face conversation which
00:15:46we often don't have because of all
00:15:50things that have made our lives easier but
00:15:53also isolated us in some sense
00:15:57you talk a lot and socialize, well
00:16:01we socialize, you know, it depends on the mood sometimes you can run with someone for an hour
00:16:05without necessarily talking too much sometimes you can. spend that whole hour
00:16:08telling jokes and anecdotes or something more serious, but
00:16:12you talk about politics about politics for sure
00:16:15not, but we talk, you know what, a lot
00:16:19of people have found some business engagement within the running community, because it's again
00:16:22a network where you exchange some current events or someone needs something
00:16:26hey do you know a designer or an architect or I don't know
00:16:30now a craftsman whatever a craftsman we are here to help
00:16:33that
00:16:36uh these are all... some advantages that
00:16:40all those who decide to engage in running, both recreationally and professionally, will
00:16:43feel and we said why it is important to participate
00:16:47in this festival besides the health
00:16:51mental and other benefits
00:16:54uh the humanitarian character is really important yes
00:16:58yes it is important someone who doesn't run also has
00:17:01potentially great importance, can come out to support, to cheer, for example
00:17:05tomorrow we will have on the route. of the half marathon, colleagues,
00:17:09race organizers from Mostar, Dubrovnik and Split, who
00:17:13will be volunteers, they got in the car and will spend the weekend in Sarajevo,
00:17:16they will come just to volunteer, hand out water and drinks, cheer on the runners,
00:17:20so I want to tell you that this nice regional
00:17:24connection strengthening of ties is
00:17:26very important and we will tomorrow, in quotation marks, in the coming year, so
00:17:30we will go to them also to help them in their events, so
00:17:34that uh it's nice to go out and set an example, cheer and "we
00:17:37are known for good hospitality, for warm people,
00:17:41for some, how can I say, really quality relationships, we like to
00:17:44take care of people many runners return
00:17:48year after year or recommend us to others, so this is
00:17:51tomorrow we want and the day after tomorrow to leave an equally good impression, thank
00:17:55you very much for your time of course we invite everyone on the 12th and
00:17:5913th to the Sarajevo Runfest, Erol Mujanović,
00:18:02one of the organizers was our
00:18:04guest.
00:18:16The media have always been a window to the world. In my work, I try to ensure that the information I
00:18:20provide is verified, clear and understandable to every viewer.
00:18:23I ask my guests what I assume you would ask
00:18:27them, giving them the opportunity to provide adequate
00:18:30answers. I am Davibor Mrdić, you are watching
00:18:33N1.
00:20:25Patients before elections are looking for concrete answers from political
00:20:28parties regarding the health system, the "Vote for Life" initiative
00:20:32which gathers more than 35 patient
00:20:35associations from Bosnia and Herzegovina. It launched
00:20:38a campaign, ask, demand,
00:20:40answer. Waiting lists, unavailable
00:20:44therapies, lack of doctors corruption. These are some of the problems
00:20:48that citizens recognize in the health
00:20:50system, however experiences are not the same, corruption,
00:20:54mhm, how much are they, I don't know yet,
00:20:58whenever you come, you can't get in line to ask for what you
00:21:01need, but you have to buy it, that already
00:21:05asks for money, as far as I know, I don't have problems with
00:21:08them, you ask for an appointment, you get five, six months to
00:21:12wait, then they send you to private doctors,
00:21:15private doctors immediately finish it, that's a bit
00:21:18messy, that... "everything in order, mhm,
00:21:22you never encountered any obstacles, we need to
00:21:24employ more doctors, find financial
00:21:28means and whatever else, the ministers know, I think there are few
00:21:31doctors who cover everything, will the program
00:21:35of a certain party which will include solving the problem
00:21:38of, that is already politics for sure
00:21:42it will, let them promise more
00:21:45to the citizens, better healthcare, a better healthcare system and
00:21:48I think there will be some results if those promises
00:21:52are fulfilled. That's why patient associations are not asking
00:21:55political entities only for promises of healthcare reform,
00:21:59but also concrete answers. They sent them questions on how
00:22:02they plan to solve the problem of drug availability and
00:22:05ensure regular updating of lists, abolish
00:22:09waiting lists for therapies, establish a unified register
00:22:12of patients and treatment outcomes, improve the protection of patient
00:22:15rights and ensure their active involvement in
00:22:18the decision-making process. We believe that citizens have
00:22:22the right to know what concrete answers and measures certain
00:22:25political entities offer before casting their vote, and
00:22:29when it comes to health, answers can never be
00:22:32general. For a patient waiting for medication, it is not enough to say that
00:22:36the healthcare system will one day be better. For a patient waiting
00:22:40for therapy for months, it is not enough to say that there will be healthcare
00:22:43reform. Patients need concrete measures, clear
00:22:47deadlines, accountability results. Patients,
00:22:50however, the problem is not only what the system promises them, but how much
00:22:54they have to fight for their rights themselves. Patients
00:22:58have been forced for too long to fend for themselves, to
00:23:01write letters, to seek meetings, to
00:23:04explain why they need medication and treatment,
00:23:08to prove that their right truly exists.
00:23:12The healthcare system should not function
00:23:15like that. Therefore, a patient should not be the person who
00:23:19fights the most for the realization of their rights and their
00:23:22treatment. One of the concrete demands refers to the availability
00:23:26of modern therapies, especially for those suffering from severe malignant
00:23:30diseases. 70% of oncology patients enter
00:23:34the healthcare system only after the appearance,
00:23:37the appearance of symptoms, and that data clearly shows
00:23:41in what state our healthcare system
00:23:44is, that it must change. A proposal for
00:23:48a new revision, i.e., a revised
00:23:51list, has been made, in that list, according
00:23:55to our information and professionals, doctors who
00:23:58participated in the creation of such a list, new
00:24:01therapies, new molecules, as in
00:24:05all advanced healthcare systems in Europe and
00:24:08the world, however, uh, formally
00:24:12bureaucratically that list has not
00:24:15been adopted by the government. They are therefore asking
00:24:18political parties to state their position on these issues before
00:24:22the elections, not only what they will change, but also when and how,
00:24:25because for patients, deadlines are not a political promise, but
00:24:29a matter of quality of life. Nataša Kerezović, N1.
00:24:43Youth trust in elections is a special story. Although the pre-election
00:24:47campaign in Bosnia and Herzegovina is already in full swing. among
00:24:50young people there is not much enthusiasm, some of them say
00:24:54that they will not go to the elections, disappointed with the political
00:24:57offer and the messages they have been hearing for years, for those who
00:25:01will vote for the first time, the choice of whom to trust
00:25:04is even more difficult.
00:25:08For some young people, this will be the first election in which they have the right
00:25:11to vote, however some of those with whom we spoke say that
00:25:15they will not go to the polls, they do not believe that
00:25:18anything can be changed through elections. They do not recognize themselves in the political offer
00:25:22and, as they say, they have no one to vote for. I honestly
00:25:25did not plan to, I have not voted in an election for a few
00:25:29years since I became an adult. I don't know who I would vote for, honestly, I wouldn't give
00:25:32my vote to anyone in this country, as it is currently? Well
00:25:36I haven't voted for 20 years, I don't know
00:25:39why I would now. What is it that discourages people, young people first
00:25:43and foremost, from voting, are we not? Common sense, approximately,
00:25:46there is no such candidate for whom I would currently vote.
00:25:51It suits, I generally think that the negative political situation
00:25:55and dissatisfaction will not "force" young
00:25:58people to go to new elections even though the new voting
00:26:01system. speaks and gives the possibility
00:26:05of change, I think it would be good if they went out to
00:26:08vote, because we can restore trust in institutions. As
00:26:12The problem also highlights the campaign that repeats from cycle to cycle, with
00:26:16the same inflammatory rhetoric that reopens old divisions
00:26:19instead of talking about what citizens truly
00:26:23need today. Sometimes I would really cry for the simple reason that three
00:26:27decades have passed, mhm, since the war, since all
00:26:30the events, genocide, aggression. Now
00:26:33we are seeing the same narratives again, my Sergey is
00:26:3618 years old, so he can vote for the first time, what
00:26:40advice should I give him on who to vote for. The approach hasn't
00:26:43changed, explain communication experts.
00:26:46Instead of new topics and concrete solutions, politicians
00:26:50continue to rely on familiar messages and recognizable party
00:26:53marketing. This, they add, can hardly animate younger
00:26:57voters. They use old ideas, they use
00:27:00worn-out phrases, they use.
00:27:02what we can say that doesn't attract young people, it's
00:27:06some old outfit that relies on some
00:27:10socialist period. A different approach is possible on social
00:27:13networks, but for that, says Kapetanović, greater
00:27:16independence and decisiveness of candidates are needed. They
00:27:20must have something called insubordination to the party
00:27:24leader, in our country one central
00:27:27office generates, I mean, and this
00:27:30directs, gives instructions.
00:27:32I can say that for all parties, we see that through visuals, we see that
00:27:36through different messages, young people recognize that easily,
00:27:40because young people are taught and they see that
00:27:43they are, I mean, they were born with a digital screen and they see
00:27:47some other elections and some other campaigns. Young people don't necessarily
00:27:51give up on elections because they are not interested in politics, but because
00:27:55the offer of candidates has not changed for years, while they are offered
00:27:58the same faces and the same messages, it's hard to expect that
00:28:01this year... they will find a reason to give their vote to
00:28:05someone (Fedja Kulina N1).
00:28:20The pre-election campaign in Bosnia and Herzegovina is entering its
00:28:23most heated phase, instead of evaluating
00:28:26normative reform results in the past
00:28:29mandate, the public space is dominated by... populist
00:28:33narratives, ethno-national tensions, clientelistic
00:28:36calculations, while the trio boasts of historical
00:28:40breakthroughs, the opposition is waiting for their collapse, the question
00:28:44is whether Bosnia and Herzegovina is entering a phase of permanent
00:28:48paralysis, this morning on New Day, a socio-political
00:28:51diagnosis of the situation is given by Professor Enver Kazaz, good
00:28:54morning, good morning, thank you for the invitation, greetings to your
00:28:57viewers, is the beginning of this campaign
00:29:01inspiring, professor? How do you
00:29:04view it, how do you analyze what we have seen in
00:29:08these first seven days, and it is very
00:29:11stupid, uh,
00:29:13so, uh, on one hand the same patterns as before, not
00:29:17only that, I mean, this one is even
00:29:20stupider, uh, namely, when you
00:29:23look at the slogans that appear in
00:29:26the public space, uh, like, uh,
00:29:29for example, just SDA, then three. times
00:29:3350, 50,000
00:29:35uh new jobs, 50 million
00:29:39investments,
00:29:42and I don't know 50 who knows what, or live
00:29:45freely, or for example the slogan
00:29:49uh
00:29:51civic country of lilies or,
00:29:55so the slogan or one team,
00:29:58one country, uh, however you
00:30:01look at it... "none of them
00:30:05has any contact with
00:30:08reality, that means that they are essentially
00:30:12a lie, and uh, that lie is
00:30:15stupid, that lie is not only
00:30:19populist, it is actually very
00:30:21dangerous because it misleads voters
00:30:24it relies on
00:30:27our very superficial reactions,
00:30:31so that..." young people here in the report, unfortunately you didn't have
00:30:34the opportunity, but here uh, what
00:30:37uh almost every young person said is that they will not
