Google Cloud Speech-to-Text API (Chirp) + Gemini 2.5 Flash Non-Thinking. Treat it as a searchable index of what was broadcast, not a quotation record.

00:00:00as it provides 375 mg
00:00:03of magnesium, which is 100% of the recommended daily
00:00:06intake. Why is pure magnesium 5 and
00:00:09omega-3 a good combination?
00:00:13because together they support different
00:00:16aspects of cardiovascular health. Magnesium
00:00:19contributes to the normal functioning of the heart, muscles, and
00:00:23nervous system, while omega-3 fatty acids
00:00:26EPA and DHA contribute to normal
00:00:30heart function and contribute to maintaining
00:00:33normal brain function, which is why this
00:00:37is a very interesting combination for people who want to take care of their
00:00:40heart and brain, all year round. Thank you, doctor, this
00:00:44combination is especially important for all of you who have

00:02:09We are back in the N1 Television studio, the show Red Line, tonight we are talking about
00:02:13the power, or rather the powerlessness, of the voice of citizens in the countries of the region. In the first part
00:02:16of the show, we somehow dedicated more time to this big protest in
00:02:20Zagreb last weekend, walk for Lika, walk for
00:02:23Croatia, for clean air, for clean soil, for clean
00:02:26land. In this second part, we will focus more on this. This
00:02:30voice of citizens in the elections, that awaits
00:02:33Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as I said in the first part of the show,
00:02:37let's see how the student list campaign
00:02:40in Novi Sad actually looked like
00:02:43last night in Novi Sad, from where the demands for snap elections
00:02:46actually originated due to the tragedy two
00:02:49years ago.
00:02:51Just as the bell rang for the start
00:02:56of the election race, from the starting line, with
00:02:59the official pre-election campaign, only
00:03:02one contender, the student list, started. The students
00:03:06held their first pre-election rally, symbolically in Novi
00:03:09Sad. Did they thus preempt the government or
00:03:12did they not, because the government has been in campaign for months
00:03:15now. I have a feeling that they actually
00:03:19somehow deflated, that now any rally that
00:03:23the regime, Vučić, anyone, organizes, that's
00:03:27old news, in that sense, somehow much... they wanted
00:03:30to start much, on the other hand, the students were more
00:03:34restrained, in a way they were waiting for their moment, they constantly
00:03:37sent messages that they were ready and they proved
00:03:41it. At the call of the students, which was sent
00:03:44only 24 hours earlier, according to
00:03:48estimates of public gatherings, about 6,000
00:03:51people responded. It is simply now the moment for
00:03:54unity, for association, for
00:03:57solidarity among citizens. "If we don't
00:04:00all wake up now and try to turn this sinking
00:04:04ship around, we will have no other options. At the
00:04:08helm of that ship, Aleksandar Vučić will be there a little longer.
00:04:12He will resign as president of the country upon his return from
00:04:15New York on September 25th or 26th. He will
00:04:18campaign, as he says, as an ordinary man, not as
00:04:22the president of all citizens. I don't want to go to
00:04:25the campaign for prime minister as president of the republic,
00:04:29I want..." to have, no
00:04:32president has ever done that, everyone has gone from the position of president to
00:04:36campaigns or vice versa from the position
00:04:39of prime minister, I want to be the first, I want to go as an ordinary man
00:04:42and an ordinary citizen, I will go in my
00:04:45car, I will also take a
00:04:48small truck, we rented that
00:04:50small truck,
00:04:52it's not a big truck, it's a small
00:04:55truck, so I can address people somewhere, I will
00:04:59go alone. If I think of it, but a large
00:05:02number of citizens are fed up with the regime and are now looking for an alternative,
00:05:06says Professor Dalibor Petrović, we have, he says, on one
00:05:09side a movement that comes from society, on the other...
00:05:12a regime that has held all the levers of power for 14 years, that
00:05:16difference in belief will be seen during
00:05:18the campaign. On one side smiling faces,
00:05:22faces full of some enthusiasm, desire and
00:05:25energy for things to change, on the other side
00:05:29tired faces, faces of forced and pressured
00:05:32people who have no choice because they are put in
00:05:35a situation, in a way, that their bare existence
00:05:39depends on obedience to the regime. To
00:05:42the former, support comes from a proclamation. This initiative
00:05:46calls on citizens to put aside all differences and at the elections
00:05:49vote for the student list, because it is of crucial importance, they emphasize, a massive turnout
00:05:53at the elections. A convincing victory
00:05:57of the student list in a referendum atmosphere in which national unity
00:06:01will stand against the manipulations and lawlessness of the regime, is the only
00:06:04model of peaceful transition of power at this historical
00:06:07moment. Support for students also comes from Nemanja
00:06:10Šarović, the president of the movement, love, faith, hope, that
00:06:14movement provides students with premises and human
00:06:17resources, and Šarović himself says that he will try to
00:06:21inflict as many blows as possible, as he says, on the traitorous
00:06:24regime of Aleksandar Vučić. The upcoming
00:06:28elections are not a matter of politics, but a matter
00:06:31of survival, which is why I ask all political
00:06:34actors to be responsible and not
00:06:37to waste votes, because that is the only way
00:06:40to keep Vučić in power, although it is
00:06:44clear that the vast majority of citizens
00:06:46of Serbia are for change. In the elections
00:06:49scheduled for October 25, Roma will be able to vote
00:06:53for their authentic political representatives, and that after
00:06:57almost two decades. That is one of the main reasons for
00:07:00signing the coalition agreement between the Union of Roma
00:07:04of Serbia and the Democratic Union of Roma. They have never
00:07:07taken into account that the Roma community really has
00:07:11strong political capacity, that
00:07:14it has its own candidates, that the Roma community will be the one that
00:07:18will choose its candidates, its
00:07:21representatives in the upcoming elections, not that
00:07:24someone else chooses those candidates for them. On the political scene
00:07:27of Serbia, another coalition agreement has been signed, this time
00:07:31under the name Authentic Right, the coalition Nada,
00:07:34consisting of the new DSS monarchists movement for
00:07:38the Kingdom of Serbia, will participate in the elections. Maja Nikolić N1.
00:07:41Belgrade,
00:07:42here, we saw approximately what it looked like
00:07:45yesterday in Novi Sad at the presentation of a
00:07:48part of the candidates from the student list, we saw which lists
00:07:51are still being formed, we also have this pro-European one which is not
00:07:55indicated here, uh, Nataša, just a question, here, we
00:07:58heard a movement coming from society, uh, that is what
00:08:01students are now uniting somehow
00:08:04and is that the reason
00:08:08why there is such a relatively, let's
00:08:11say, massive response, that the atmosphere is somehow different
00:08:15than when only parties were in the game, so we have a new
00:08:19situation in the pre-election campaign, uh
00:08:22in the elections themselves, where simply
00:08:25students who invited people who have not been involved
00:08:29in politics until now to their list, that is still new, uh and
00:08:32how, well, does that somehow separate it, we will also hear when it comes
00:08:36to Bosnia and Herzegovina, there, as far as I understand, there are no such movements, but rather
00:08:39classically parties that have participated until now.
00:08:44"Yes, I would say that it separates, that it makes an important difference, because precisely
00:08:47yesterday at that first, let's say, rally in the pre-election campaign,
00:08:51uh, from the student list came
00:08:54the statement that the candidates are actually among us, that they are
00:08:57ordinary citizens, but of their profession, meaning
00:09:01doctors, professors, lecturers, in whom
00:09:04we have somehow built great trust during all this time
00:09:08at protests and seeing them on the streets and standing with them
00:09:11". Uh, where they will actually show themselves as
00:09:15we ourselves think and how we behave and how we will
00:09:19live as normal people, unlike the picture
00:09:22we had in previous years of the same faces
00:09:26changing and where we cannot find any real
00:09:29solutions or real personalities who will really do something for our
00:09:33republic of Serbia, uh, I believe that
00:09:36this is very important and that it is really time for a new era
00:09:39as it was also said to forget all
00:09:43divisions, to forget who is on the left, who is on the
00:09:46right, for all of us to really unite so that we have one
00:09:50main goal, as it says, that students
00:09:53win. Mrs. Milićević, now when you compare
00:09:57Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, your elections are approaching, even a little earlier than
00:10:01when citizens of Serbia will go to the polls, how do you comment that you
00:10:04don't have those non-political
00:10:07subjects who will come up with some new offers perhaps among
00:10:10parties, but not in this way, is that
00:10:14a problem or is it simply, it's not
00:10:18a problem, as I said, how we in Bosnia and Herzegovina have elections
00:10:21every two years. Local and then general
00:10:25somehow all the focus of all events is
00:10:28directed precisely at pre-election
00:10:31rallies, especially when the campaign started, I just
00:10:35mentioned, we have protests announced
00:10:38these days, protests as I said
00:10:42in some canton doctors or healthcare workers,
00:10:45then you have miners also announced
00:10:49two weeks ago, they also went out into the streets.
00:10:52That is, there were also and they were supposed to come to Sarajevo
00:10:56in front of the federal government and so on, so we have
00:11:00smaller protests, that is if it loves interests
00:11:04no, that is in that context, the problem in Bosnia
00:11:08and Herzegovina is that all existing
00:11:11political entities and those who represent us
00:11:15at different levels of government, they are now maximally
00:11:18using those resources, our resources, when I say
00:11:22our money, our. to give one-time
00:11:33financial aid
00:11:36to pensioners as well as to special
00:11:39vulnerable groups, so you have some really
00:11:43funny trips to nature,
00:11:46we take pensioners, we take people who until
00:11:49now have not even symbolically thought about
00:11:52their status, their economic life, I mean
00:11:56economic circumstances and life, that is, unlike in
00:11:59Bosnia and Herzegovina, we do not have public
00:12:03joint protests against everyone, no, at this moment
00:12:06it is only important who will vote for whom, what is perhaps
00:12:10positive for everyone to say that the number of political
00:12:13subjects is smaller, but we again have
00:12:16new ones and again in Bosnia and Herzegovina, roughly
00:12:19the same faces will just perhaps have changed
00:12:22". To appear again, yes, that's what I just
00:12:25asked you, sorry to interrupt, I just asked you about this situation in Serbia that has
00:12:29brought forth some new people, some experts,
00:12:32professors, uh, among us, as
00:12:35the interlocutor in Novi Sad said, there is none of that in Bosnia and
00:12:38Herzegovina, do you think something like that would be good, would it
00:12:42gather a larger number of citizens to come out to the elections, the percentage of turnout
00:12:45is not very high in one of these countries
00:12:49uh would that wake up abstainers
00:12:53then... "Honestly, perhaps
00:12:56it would, but somehow that hope is drowned out by these initiatives we
00:13:00had, where we called for accountability, where we knew
00:13:04which direction we should go and demanded answers, which is why I also mentioned
00:13:08the case of Jablanica, you know yourselves, which also mobilized
00:13:12and there were protests, there were protests without results, yes, without
00:13:15results, I repeat, now what is the question, whether
00:13:19we are tired, whether in some way the majority
00:13:23of citizens, you always know." The problematic thing is how many people turn out for
00:13:27elections, always just to pass the consensus of 56, 52,
00:13:3050, that's tragic, that's now the responsibility, I want to call out
00:13:34all of us citizens of Bosnia and
00:13:37Herzegovina that we have responsibility for this
00:13:40awful situation at this moment, not just now
00:13:43for the last, surely, 20 years, but now the focus, because you
00:13:47yourselves know that we had protests for
00:13:50against small hydropower plants that were polluting, which we followed
00:13:54". Yes, "you followed everything, that's why I say, we have numerous
00:13:57initiatives, but somehow where
00:14:00the biggest problem is that we give up, but I always
00:14:04have both an excuse and understanding, because
00:14:07everyday life problems push you so much that you
00:14:11don't have time to think anymore, you started,
00:14:14you think, they promised that it will be resolved or in some way that
00:14:17it will further legally, all those responsible
00:14:21for all these misfortunes, everything is promised, but not realized,
00:14:24yes. What do people, I don't know, what else needs
00:14:28to happen so that we remain consistent and go all the way, as
00:14:31you just took the example of Serbia, we follow what is happening in
00:14:34the region, but in our Bosnia and Herzegovina we currently do not have such
00:14:38a movement, uh nor anyone who would
00:14:41take responsibility, Mrs. Orišković, you are
00:14:44a politician, you have been in parliament for a long time, you said yourself that
00:14:48you support these civic initiatives, but that
00:14:52it still needs to be clearly uh, how... should I say
00:14:55addressed to those responsible who come from politics, so now how does this
00:14:59variant in Serbia seem to you,
00:15:02where students have organized themselves and there are no
00:15:06familiar faces who have participated in politics, they insisted precisely
00:15:09on that, uh, citizens are currently responding relatively
00:15:13well, we will see, of course, what will happen on October 25, so how does that
00:15:16possibility seem to you that simply non-politicians enter the fight with
00:15:19politicians? Well, as soon as they enter the fight with politicians. That's
00:15:23politics and that's how it should be, that's exactly how it should
00:15:27be, we followed those protests for
00:15:30a long time, I liked them as
00:15:34a democratic awakening, mhm, but. if it stops there,
00:15:37then it's all
00:15:40a missed opportunity, wasted energy,
00:15:43what is happening now is precisely that continuation which is
00:15:47natural, logical, positive, expected,
00:15:51and uh, I hope
00:15:54and, but I believe and expect that
00:15:58uh that political step,
00:16:01the most important crucial political step, will bear
00:16:04results, because only that, that is important for Croatia.
00:16:08That is also terribly important for this part of Europe called
00:16:11the Balkans, it is important that Serbia moves
00:16:15forward, that uh citizens in
00:16:17Serbia fight for their future, for them to have
00:16:21a government that offers them a different present
00:16:24and future from the politics of Aleksandar Vučić, that must
00:16:27end up in that unfortunate dustbin of history that
00:16:31no one will remember positively, they will not remember
00:16:34yes, it is well said, if that is not done with... Well, I don't
00:16:38know, does our generation have a new
00:16:41opportunity or a new chance, this must happen now,
00:16:45mhm, we will see, of course, what will happen at the end of October regarding
00:16:48Serbia, but regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the beginning of October, uh, citizens and
00:16:52authorities on the same task, here it stands as a title, here is
00:16:55a question for all three interlocutors, is that possible,
00:16:59necessary and when that happens does it happen at all, here you can
00:17:03now since you were talking, so here, yes, without citizens
00:17:06who are... "Active, involved, rebellious, above all rebellious,
00:17:10always critically inclined, I even said that the moment
00:17:14your political option you voted for wins, that's when you
00:17:17should
00:17:19uh judge even more harshly so that you
00:17:23help that government not become rotten too
00:17:26early, does the government hear the citizens, for example, the one
00:17:30that becomes new, until recently it was on the streets with the citizens and
00:17:34when it becomes the government, does it then hear the citizens?" The moment
00:17:37it stops hearing that voice, it needs to be changed, but
00:17:41what happened to us always happens, we let them, then we
00:17:45let them for one cycle, then two, three, the longer a government is in
00:17:48power, it puts down its roots and tentacles, it simply
00:17:52rots, why is corruption most often
00:17:55depicted - as an apple, an apple is the healthiest fruit in
00:17:59the world, but if you leave it for three months on the table, it will start to rot,
00:18:02anyway, so we need to change, we need to
00:18:06criticize. we need to participate, all these
00:18:09our countries simply have not developed that as
00:18:12an initial concept that having a democratic state
00:18:16requires active engagement and participation from citizens,
00:18:20not just on election day, because then it doesn't make sense, but all that
00:18:23time from one election cycle to another,
00:18:27well, we are almost at the end of the show, Mrs. Milićević, Bosnia and Herzegovina, government and citizens, can
00:18:31they and should they be on the same task, they should be and more of them should
00:18:35come out, but the responsibility of
00:18:37all citizens is from the local level, it should start from local
00:18:41communities up to all these general big
00:18:45elections, and this is my message to all citizens to remember all
00:18:49these misfortunes, to remember
00:18:52everything that was very bad that happened
00:18:55in the last two years in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then to
00:18:59think before they vote not to allow
00:19:02manipulations to be carried out again on national grounds and many other
00:19:06". Manipulations with them, because they are against
00:19:09us, we are against these, these, because that hate
00:19:12speech, that national rhetoric is always present, as
00:19:16it is this year, these days, it is already defined,
00:19:20hate speech is defined, so now it won't be that cross, but circling, you have
00:19:23some new technological possibilities, there was testing today, it says
00:19:27it passed successfully, that it says the fingerprint proved
00:19:3197% to be good, so we will see what will happen in the coming period,
00:19:35let's conclude with Serbia, Nataša..." uh, government and
00:19:38citizens, does it seem logical to you that they can be on
00:19:42the same task, for example, uh, citizens' assemblies to which you
00:19:45belong, you demanded, uh,
00:19:48you are working on it, a referendum of the citizens of Novi Sad not
00:19:51to let Novi Sad na vodi happen, you were rejected, uh, by the
00:19:55city authorities, you will continue to work on it, uh,
00:19:59how does that seem to you,
00:20:02yes, I would start from the beginning, so the voice of the citizens has
00:20:06become so loud. It started to affect legitimacy only, so
00:20:10when so many people come out and express their dissatisfaction,
00:20:13it simply means that something has to change, citizens here have
00:20:17really started from the local communities themselves, through
00:20:21all projects that harm, uh, let's say
00:20:24this country, and it is crucial that we referred to the
00:20:27basic fact that sovereignty belongs to the citizens
00:20:30according to the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, in that context we
00:20:34founded a citizens' initiative 100%. Now
00:20:37where it was demanded, so in Novi Sad the calling of a subsequent
00:20:41binding local referendum precisely there so that citizens can
00:20:45decide whether they want to stop that external Novi
00:20:49Sad na vodi, yes. Valid, now here we have an interaction
00:20:53with the government that somehow even brings
00:20:56some legal provisions to absurdity and
00:20:59somehow it crystallized during all this time that the main
00:21:03characteristic of every government response
00:21:06is postponement, meaning it says immediately at the start no, we will not
00:21:09solve it, but through all possible mechanisms it tries
00:21:13to postpone facing the will of the citizens,
00:21:17however, the will of the citizens is such that
00:21:20it has now become a movement, a movement that does not
00:21:24stop and that will actually
00:21:26win. Uh, well, we will see, of course, what
00:21:30will happen, whether it will win or not, in any case, what we could somehow
00:21:33conclude, here's a quick flash for the end, does the voice
00:21:37of the citizens have power or does it not have power, just in one sentence, go
00:21:41ahead, of course it does, it has power when it is loud
00:21:45on the street with one small condition or
00:21:48addition that it translates into votes
00:21:52in elections, only then can we actually
00:21:56have a government that is not despotic,
00:21:59autocratic, that is not corrupt, that is not all the evil
00:22:02that we ourselves brewed just because we were lazy
00:22:06that one day to go to the polls, and one more
00:22:09thing, I think that it is characteristic of all our
00:22:11countries that there is always a category of people who go to
00:22:15the polls, those are the ones who see their personal interest in it, mhm, those are the
00:22:19ones who are... "networked with
00:22:22the ruling party who get their jobs, work
00:22:25with state companies, uh, so
00:22:28they don't care at all how it will be for everyone else if they, in
00:22:32the worst possible structure, whatever it may be, have their personal interest,
00:22:36well, let it not be like that this time, so Serbia and Bosnia and
00:22:39Herzegovina,
00:22:41here is the message for elections because our voice is very important and significant
00:22:44and we call every time, because the worst thing is not
00:22:48to come out and at least annul or
00:22:51prevent others from manipulating your
00:22:54vote, so citizens can bring about change
00:22:58and we brought about change if we go back 31
00:23:01years, that Novi Sad calls to come out and vote, right?
00:23:05Novi Sad, of course, to come out and vote, we woke up many
00:23:09undecided, many who were not involved in such
00:23:13things at all, we brought it to the point that the power
00:23:16of citizens is really at a very high level.
00:23:20that if it perseveres, we can make
00:23:23big changes. In any case, thank you for being guests on tonight's show, I think the message
00:23:27is clear for the citizens, citizens simply have power, either this way or that
00:23:31way, it is up to everyone to decide, but the power of citizens and the voice of citizens
00:23:35is great. Good night, stay with N1, see you next Friday
00:23:38at the same time. Stay with N1, Good
00:23:41night.
