00:00:24Good evening, dear viewers, welcome to
00:00:26the news.
00:00:30Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina today elected members of government bodies, a total of
00:00:33518 of them. Voter turnout until 5 PM
00:00:36was 32.2%. Citizens are electing a new government for the first time with
00:00:40the help of new technologies.
00:00:43For a little change, for a little betterment, this has been
00:00:46terrible so far. So I expect nothing, a slightly tougher, much tougher
00:00:50situation than it has been so far, unfortunately it is what it is.
00:00:54We always hope for the better, and
00:00:56this time we hope. I think that the young people lead us.
00:01:00Not old people like me.
00:01:02ja.
00:01:06More from the news.
00:01:07izdvajamo.
00:01:12Election day did not pass without
00:01:14moved and difficulties. In several locations, the start of voting was prolonged due to
00:01:17technical problems with the devices for scanning ballots, and incidents were
00:01:21recorded.
00:01:24Two years have passed since the catastrophic floods that in
00:01:27October 2024 hit Bosnia and Herzegovina
00:01:31and claimed 27 human
00:01:33lives.
00:01:35The German Chancellor, on an unannounced visit to Kyiv, promises additional aid
00:01:39to Ukraine.
00:01:43Tomorrow in Bosnia and Herzegovina, sunny weather with slight to moderate cloudiness,
00:01:47daily temperatures from 20 to 26, in the south up to
00:01:5029
00:01:51degrees.
00:01:56More than 3.4 million registered voters today
00:02:00had the opportunity to elect new authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 518 members of government
00:02:03bodies were elected, among whom are members
00:02:07of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and representatives who will fill
00:02:10the parliamentary seats in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of BiH,
00:02:14the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and the cantons. The
00:02:18president and vice-presidents of the entity Republika Srpska were also elected. These are
00:02:21the first elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina that are conducted with the use of biometric
00:02:25voter identification scanners, ballots, as well as
00:02:29with rapid transmission of election results.
00:02:41Let's go straight to our reporters. At the Central Election
00:02:45Commission is our Melika Balihodžić, at the polling station in Sarajevo Dragica
00:02:49Pejaković, in Banja Luka Tatjana Drljić. First we will go to
00:02:52Melika. Melika, how was election day, what is
00:02:55the turnout, what is the latest information and how did
00:02:58the new technologies function?
00:03:03Well, Nerma, you started your address precisely
00:03:06with that number of voters who had
00:03:09the right, you know, to go to the polls to vote,
00:03:13so we will start with the turnout, given that here at the Central Election
00:03:17Commission, that is what is talked about the most, given that the turnout
00:03:20is quite alarming, many can admit, it is quite
00:03:24smaller if we compare it with the general elections of
00:03:262022 and as far as I can see. behind
00:03:30my back, that number is currently at 1
00:03:33million and 300,000, you mentioned that number of three million
00:03:37voters who had the right to vote, according to
00:03:40the current situation, so that's only about 40%
00:03:44of the population with voting rights who responded to these
00:03:48elections, you mentioned new technologies and asked how all that
00:03:51went, what is encouraging is that
00:03:54only a small number of recorded problems in
00:03:57percentages relate to problems with technologies. We are aware that
00:04:00there were delays in many places with the
00:04:03start due to problems with the scanners, however, according to
00:04:07data from the Pod Lupom coalition, this accounts for only
00:04:10about 11 or 17%, so in
00:04:13all problems with technologies, while a much
00:04:16larger percentage of those problems are more serious violations
00:04:20of electoral rules, almost a hundred of them
00:04:23were recorded in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so those are the kinds of problems we had
00:04:27even before these new electoral technologies.
00:04:30where the right to assistance in voting was violated or
00:04:34observers, for example, were prevented from doing their
00:04:37job, we know that this morning there was a lot of talk about those
00:04:40delays, delays with the start of voting in Bijeljina
00:04:44and some other places, what is important to note immediately
00:04:47is that in all those places where it did not start on time,
00:04:51i.e., at 7 AM this morning, voting will be
00:04:54extended for the same amount of time that it was delayed, giving voters the right
00:04:57to vote, while any eventual... repetitions of the electoral
00:05:01processes will be, whether there will be any, so we will know that only a little
00:05:05later, new, new problems have appeared for which we will,
00:05:09for which we will seek an answer from the CIK, such as for example the case of Užepi where
00:05:12almost completed material was found
00:05:15in a car, these problems appeared where voters in some places
00:05:18in Bosnia and Herzegovina, those auxiliary ballots for voting,
00:05:22i.e., with the names of candidates were given already filled
00:05:26out so that their attention would be drawn to them, journalists actually asked this morning
00:05:29at the first press conference at 12 to the Central
00:05:33Election Commission, they said that we will receive all clarifications at the next
00:05:36press conference which is expected here in less than an hour, so then at
00:05:408 PM the Central Election Commission will reconvene, what we will reliably
00:05:44know is the final turnout and
00:05:48the complete summary of election day, and
00:05:51only preliminarily, or incomplete, we will know those results given
00:05:55that those new electoral technologies worked in the so-called
00:05:58offline mode, so only after the polling
00:06:02stations close, most of them at 7 PM
00:06:05in fact
00:06:08those computers or technologies will print out a statement which will be
00:06:12sent to the member of the polling committee, and then they will
00:06:15access the network, so with all
00:06:19that technology, then after 7 PM
00:06:22through the new technology, the data will begin
00:06:25to be delivered to the base here where we are located at the CIK, we remind you
00:06:29once again, the press conference is at 8 PM, answers to all
00:06:33problems and only preliminary incomplete results, given that
00:06:37all votes will also have to be
00:06:41counted manually and compared with all that
00:06:44technology has shown us, it
00:06:47will again be done in the main counting center, and the CIK
00:06:50emphasizes that this process this year
00:06:54is more rigorous than ever
00:06:55before.
00:06:59Live from the Central Election Commission Melika Balehodžić, let's go to
00:07:02Sarajevo and Dragica Pejaković, Dragica, how was election day in
00:07:06Sarajevo, what do the citizens say, how did they cope with the new
00:07:09technologies, and has the polling station closed that
00:07:13you are currently
00:07:13in?
00:07:17Nerma, we are currently located in the municipality
00:07:20of Novi Grad and this polling station is still not closed
00:07:24and what I would like to highlight during this election
00:07:28day in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, what is
00:07:31interesting is that this morning no significant
00:07:35crowds were recorded at polling stations,
00:07:38but there were in the afternoon hours.
00:07:42Especially in the last three or four hours, there were really huge
00:07:46crowds at polling stations across Sarajevo,
00:07:50or across Canton Sarajevo. When it comes to
00:07:54how this day passed, according to the report of the Ministry of Interior of Canton
00:07:58Sarajevo, election day passed in a
00:08:01safe environment, there were no major incidents,
00:08:05except for four cases where the police intervened, the first
00:08:08case concerns the municipality of Centar, where there was a verbal
00:08:12misunderstanding, an argument between members of the election commission,
00:08:16so the police intervened and recorded everything and
00:08:20three cases relate to the municipality
00:08:23of Ilijaš, in two of those three cases
00:08:26it was recorded that political activists near
00:08:29polling stations were distributing promotional materials,
00:08:32the police intervened, these were seized and everything
00:08:36was documented by an official police
00:08:39report and the fourth case.
00:08:43concerns a voter in the municipality of Ilijaš who
00:08:47verbally protested about what he stated was a complicated
00:08:50procedure when it comes to voting. So, fortunately
00:08:54there were no major incidents in Canton Sarajevo,
00:08:58there were no technical difficulties as was
00:09:01the case in other individual parts
00:09:05of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but what was mostly emphasized by
00:09:09older voters with whom we spoke during the day. is that the
00:09:12procedure was really complicated, i.e. this new
00:09:16way of voting and as they point out, most of the time
00:09:19they actually lost, as they say, on understanding
00:09:22how, how to vote correctly,
00:09:26and when it comes to the expectations
00:09:30of citizens, they mainly concern
00:09:33political stability, hoping for new
00:09:36better economic opportunities, a better standard of living and
00:09:40what was really highlighted. What older voters mostly mentioned
00:09:44is that opportunities must be given to young people, that
00:09:47is, that there must be many more opportunities for
00:09:51young people as the biggest problem we currently have in
00:09:55Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been present for a long time
00:09:59is the departure of young people,
00:10:02and their wish is precisely that
00:10:06young people be given opportunities to stay in Bosnia and
00:10:09Herzegovina. Let's hear, among other things, what else the
00:10:13voters said, if we want change for the better, the
00:10:17more of us come out, the better, if those who haven't justified
00:10:21themselves so far, they have their voters. Unfortunately, that's how it is,
00:10:25and we who seek change,
00:10:28should come out, if we don't come out it will be the same, then again four
00:10:32years as it was and
00:10:36that's it, voting is important, that is a basic civic
00:10:39duty, isn't it an obligation, we always
00:10:42hope for the better, and this time we hope, I think
00:10:46it's important that everyone comes out, that there's a massive turnout
00:10:50for the elections, we'll see, I only hope for improvement,
00:10:54we must hope that things will be better for us, that I am a very big optimist
00:10:57and I am not, but we must hope, in any case, I think we should go out,
00:11:01so I expect changes, but I'm afraid that few
00:11:04people will come out, people are already distrustful, they have lost
00:11:08trust, hope and so on, especially older
00:11:11people, everyone should come out grandmas,
00:11:14grandpas, everyone
00:11:17to vote for our children, for our
00:11:21youth, so that young people lead us, not old people like me.
00:11:28So, these were the messages and expectations
00:11:31of voters from Sarajevo, the greatest wish
00:11:35is precisely to provide better opportunities for young people to stay
00:11:38in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but our interlocutors were
00:11:41not
00:11:44exactly optimistic when it comes to
00:11:48whether things will get better for us after these
00:11:51elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, here Nerma, while
00:11:54we are talking. while we are talking, voting is coming to an end
00:11:58here in this at
00:12:01this polling station, i.e., at Fatima Gunić Elementary School,
00:12:04as well as throughout the capital of Bosnia and
00:12:07Herzegovina. This was Dragica Pejaković, let's go
00:12:11live to Banja Luka, our Tatjana Drljić is there. Tatjana, how was
00:12:15election day in Banja Luka, what do the
00:12:17citizens say?
00:12:22Well, Norma, election day here in the city was quite
00:12:26peaceful, I must say, although at the level of Republika Srpska, the Ministry
00:12:29of Internal Affairs of the entity recorded several
00:12:33violations which will be
00:12:36subsequently reported, and what marked
00:12:39election day was actually the delay
00:12:43at even nine polling stations that did not open on time
00:12:47this morning at 7 AM. By 12 PM,
00:12:50so by noon, that problem
00:12:54was resolved, so by 12 PM
00:12:58almost all polling stations were fully functional, but what
00:13:01preceded that delay were problems
00:13:04during the implementation of the new electoral technology,
00:13:08specifically with ballot scanners, which was, as we heard
00:13:11a moment ago, a problem in certain parts of Bosnia and
00:13:15Herzegovina and the reason why there were the most
00:13:18delays in opening polling stations across Bosnia and
00:13:22Herzegovina. I must remind you that in Banja Luka,
00:13:26the right to vote, i.e., registered
00:13:28citizens for exercising this civic right was
00:13:321902.
00:13:34The last cut-off, i.e., until 3 PM,
00:13:38was slightly more than 34%.
00:13:41If we compare it with the time
00:13:44until 11 AM when the city
00:13:47election commission in Banja Luka released those data, we can
00:13:51conclude that the turnout in Banja Luka
00:13:55was significantly lower than in the previous two election cycles, i.e.,
00:13:58including local elections two years ago and general
00:14:02elections four years ago, when by that time,
00:14:05many, many more people had voted in percentages. However,
00:14:09if we again take the average and if we take these data from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia
00:14:13and Herzegovina, which therefore specifically stated in
00:14:16which cities there was, i.e., the highest
00:14:20turnout was recorded in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is absolutely certain that
00:14:23Banja Luka, among the larger cities, led the way, that somehow
00:14:26there was a greater
00:14:29turnout, regardless of the fact that representatives of the city election commission
00:14:33were somewhat dissatisfied with the low turnout, they expected much, much more,
00:14:37but we see that this is actually a trend from year to year, from
00:14:41all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that it is not surprising
00:14:44given that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina do not have much
00:14:47hope that these elections could bring any betterment, and
00:14:51what they expect from them, we spoke with citizens today.
00:14:55whom we specifically asked this:
00:14:58What would they like? I would like everyone
00:15:02to do their job,
00:15:05and what has been done so far is not bad, but
00:15:08it can probably be better, changes and nothing
00:15:12more, just changes, we usually always went
00:15:15to elections, so I'm doing that today, we will fulfill our
00:15:19civic duty, and what we vote for,
00:15:22we believe and want them to work
00:15:26as best as possible, for a little change, for a little betterment,
00:15:30this has been terrible so far, so
00:15:33I expect maybe some change,
00:15:36something a little better to generally
00:15:38start,
00:15:43and while some believe that it was not bad during these
00:15:46four years, some hope that it will be much,
00:15:50much or at least slightly
00:15:53better, I must note that a new press conference of
00:15:56the city election commission is expected around 7:30 PM,
00:16:00so before those
00:16:02preliminary results that the
00:16:06Central Election Commission will present around 8 PM, at this
00:16:09first one it will be known how many citizens
00:16:13of Banja Luka ultimately turned out and exercised their civic
00:16:17right in the elections, and I just want to remind
00:16:20you once again that today there were 259
00:16:23functional polling stations, of which
00:16:2625 mobile teams, that
00:16:30everything went well, so we can freely say
00:16:33in a somewhat
00:16:36peaceful atmosphere, there were no major problems except those that were, as we
00:16:39heard, recorded due to the implementation of new electoral
00:16:43technology, i.e., ballot
00:16:46scanners.
00:16:48These were our live reporters, Melika Balihodžić, Dragica
00:16:52Pejaković and Tatjana Drdić.
00:16:55And the N1 team spoke with Mostar residents about what they expect after
00:16:59the closing of polling stations. Citizens' answers range from complete
00:17:02disappointment and conviction that nothing will change to hope that
00:17:06the elections might still bring a better,
00:17:09safer After the elections, we just
00:17:12need to know what, will it change, will it not, we hope
00:17:16for the better, but dear God, that's what it is
00:17:19and I expect nothing, a slightly tougher, much tougher
00:17:23situation than it has been so far, unfortunately it is what it
00:17:26is, we will wait for new elections, well we hope,
00:17:30we hope for the better, for something to
00:17:33start, for the people
00:17:36to rejoice in something and so on, it's not important anymore
00:17:40how much in some
00:17:42security,
00:17:44political security, so that people are
00:17:47peaceful, not to fear conflicts
00:17:51of some kind, to stop intolerance among peoples,
00:17:54there is no reason
00:17:57whatsoever, all the best, better than it has been so far,
00:18:01well we hope, we hope, it should
00:18:05be, right, if we didn't hope, we wouldn't come out.
00:18:09All 138 polling stations in the Brčko District
00:18:13opened on time this morning, the election process went smoothly with minor technical
00:18:17difficulties, mainly due to new election technologies.
00:18:20I expect us to give politicians the same salary so that
00:18:24they argue, maybe things will be better for us too, maybe, maybe, maybe,
00:18:28maybe, so I expect some changes for the better, we
00:18:31expect nothing, it's all the same faces, the same people,
00:18:34it will only get worse, especially the Brčko District. Something better than what
00:18:38it has been so far and
00:18:41I hope, I hope for better
00:18:42changes,
00:18:46most polling stations in Tuzla opened on time this morning, here's
00:18:49what the citizens of this city expect from the elections,
00:18:53I expect big changes because
00:18:56of that little paper we get with a picture, actually they get it,
00:18:59it's known who votes, I'm very glad
00:19:02that the dead no longer vote, nothing, believe me, these old people
00:19:06should all
00:19:09We've been waiting for something better for 30-something years, this is God forbid, so
00:19:13I expect things to move forward a little and towards something better,
00:19:16I think it's time, I guess we
00:19:19have learned over the past four years
00:19:22what is better for us, so
00:19:26let's leave it at that, what do I expect, what can I
00:19:30tell you, I've been voting, voting, voting, voting, for
00:19:33so long, nothing special has ever been done,
00:19:37nothing. Nothing special has been done, I don't know what to tell you, what
00:19:40I expect, it's
00:19:43the same.
00:19:45Election day in Bihać passed without major problems, in several polling
00:19:49stations, minor delays were recorded with the opening
00:19:52of polling stations. I fulfill my civic
00:19:55duty, but I don't hope for anything,
00:19:59I don't hope. Everyone should fulfill their civic duty, I especially
00:20:03appeal to the youth, the youth are the ones who can do something
00:20:06for this country so that we have a better
00:20:09tomorrow. Well, it was good, this only
00:20:13bothered me that it was a little late, not everyone was there at 7 o'clock as it was said,
00:20:16so we pensioners came, there were more of us, we had to wait a little,
00:20:20but it's okay, and it's a little harder to vote, you have to choose,
00:20:24really everything is going great now,
00:20:27electronically, I hope that the best ones who
00:20:30deserve it will get the votes, I especially hope
00:20:34that more women will pass, so I congratulate
00:20:37all of them and wish them success, we'll see what happens, I can't
00:20:41do anything, you know what will
00:20:42happen,
00:20:45well, here's what the citizens of Srebrenica expect from
00:20:48the elections.
00:20:50"We all expect some improvement,
00:20:54although we don't really see any special signs and
00:20:57optimism, because it's mostly the same
00:21:01candidates rotating in those
00:21:04list holders, to move towards a better, complete country, so to speak,
00:21:08so that there are no conflicts, they should try
00:21:11to reach an agreement, those at the top of the municipality, so that people live
00:21:14better, that there are higher salaries,
00:21:18that everyone can live from their work,
00:21:21that there is more work.
00:21:23Immediately after the news, don't miss the special broadcast dedicated to
00:21:27the general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, watch until the
00:21:30end.
00:21:33After the trams started running to Hrasnica, will it now
00:21:37become a new urban zone
00:21:39of Sarajevo?
00:21:43Two years have passed since the catastrophic floods that hit Bosnia and Herzegovina
00:21:46in October 2024, claiming
00:21:5027 human lives. The worst hit was Donja Jablanica, when on the
00:21:54fateful night of October 4th to 5th, 19 residents died.
00:21:57On the fateful night, a huge amount of earth, stones and
00:22:00water from the quarry in Donja Jablanica
00:22:04poured into the settlement. Many residents then
00:22:07lost their homes. In this case, investigative bodies have been conducting an investigation for two years,
00:22:11but without concrete results. Besides Donja
00:22:14Jablanica, as a result of the storm and catastrophe, five people died
00:22:18in the municipality of Konjic, in Buturović Polje, and three
00:22:22people in Fojnica. In memory of the great tragedy, the municipality of
00:22:25Jablanica declared Sunday, October 4th, a day
00:22:29of mourning in that
00:22:30municipality.
00:22:34A few days after the first tram arrived in Hrasnica, it is clear that the new
00:22:38line is more than just a regular traffic project. Now, after its
00:22:42arrival, the question is no longer how much it will ease the daily commute
00:22:46of citizens, but whether Hrasnica will now become a new
00:22:49urban zone of Sarajevo.
00:22:52In addition to the new line easing the daily
00:22:55commute for residents of Hrasnica and surrounding settlements, its
00:22:58impact could be wider than just public transport. We
00:23:02have waited for this for a long time, especially those of us who worked in Famos, it was talked about 50
00:23:06years ago. Nothing better has happened to us since the war.
00:23:10This is excellent. Now we will also have a cable car.
00:23:13It has been done, you know, it has been elected. Hrasnica
00:23:16has really livened up a bit, apparently now settlements
00:23:20will be built, new buildings, that the new line
00:23:24has already attracted attention even outside Hrasnica, confirmed by those who
00:23:27out of curiosity took a ride to this neighborhood. I
00:23:31was in Hrasnica once as a girl, only once and
00:23:34never again, and I said I wanted to see how it is
00:23:38now in Hrasnica, how the tram was, I liked it. This was almost
00:23:42a desert now, if that cable car
00:23:46and maybe a department store were built,
00:23:49it should become a more attractive settlement.
00:23:52Interest in Hrasnica is growing in the real estate market,
00:23:56according to real estate experts, since the beginning of the line construction, apartment
00:23:59prices have increased by about 20%. A square meter
00:24:03of old construction today reaches 3,500 marks.
00:24:06Generally, all real estate has gone up, so it's not
00:24:10only Hrasnica that started because of the tram, but it significantly
00:24:14contributed to the price of real estate in Hrasnica,
00:24:18Sokolović Colony, Kovači. There's Butmir and that whole
00:24:21area, for real estate prices, the most important thing is infrastructure, in this
00:24:25case when we have that connection of tram tracks and
00:24:28so on, of course the prices of all real estate will increase,
00:24:32not just land, commercial spaces,
00:24:35investor interest. The growing interest in
00:24:38residential and commercial construction is confirmed by the municipality
00:24:42of Ilidža. This is not an uninhabited area where you
00:24:45now have some
00:24:48unlimited capacity for building new residential buildings and so on,
00:24:52however, we have building plots in the
00:24:55area of Hrasnica drawn into
00:24:58the regulatory plan for some buildings that were drawn into the regulatory plan
00:25:02for the development of Hrasnica a long time ago, and we already have
00:25:06requests for the realization of those buildings. However, the
00:25:09municipality confirms that the development of Hrasnica will not be limited only to
00:25:13residential construction, new business, sports and other
00:25:16facilities are planned, along with further development of the existing infrastructure. We have
00:25:20I don't know, some complex of several buildings with
00:25:24some shopping center, we will also continue to develop this sports
00:25:28story and this sports center of ours in Hrasnica,
00:25:31of course, somehow logically, the story about the
00:25:34cable car from Hrasnica to our Olympic
00:25:38mountains follows this. The full effects of the new line, however, could be visible
00:25:42only in the long term, experts see it as one of the possible drivers of broader
00:25:46urban and economic development of this part of Sarajevo Canton,
00:25:49today. It seems, then, that it is a peripheral area, however, the entire
00:25:53structure of the Sarajevo Canton area will certainly change in the
00:25:56future, new urban centers will have to be formed, so it is truly
00:26:00a... uh generating factor,
00:26:03meaning one of the key factors that will certainly significantly
00:26:06bring a number of benefits. The new railway
00:26:10brings Hrasnica closer to the rest of the city, but its significance could
00:26:14be much greater than a shorter and simpler journey.
00:26:17If the announced projects are realized, the tram could
00:26:20be just the first step in the transformation of this part of
00:26:24Sarajevo. Fedja Kulina, N1.
00:26:27Until the end of the news, don't miss:
00:26:30The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until
00:26:35the United States agrees to Tehran's conditions
00:26:39presented in June, announced the chief Iranian negotiator.
00:26:43German Chancellor Fridrich
00:26:47Merci arrived in an unannounced visit to Kyiv today and announced a new aid package for
00:26:51Ukraine to defend itself and not freeze in winter.
00:26:54Merca was greeted by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and
00:26:58Russian drones.
00:27:00The German Chancellor arrived, as have
00:27:03all for the last 4.5 years, by train in Kyiv. The Ukrainian
00:27:06president took him to the building of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in the center of
00:27:10Kyiv, which was destroyed last week in a Russian
00:27:13attack.
00:27:15This morning, on a peaceful Sunday, air raid sirens
00:27:22sounded in Kyiv. I can only repeat once
00:27:26again, Mr. Putin, stop this senseless war. We are ready for
00:27:29talks. We are ready to talk about ending this war, but these barbaric
00:27:33attacks on the civilian population of Ukraine must
00:27:36stop. And this was already the second air raid siren
00:27:39this morning out of a total of four. And again,
00:27:43a Russian drone fell on the northern bridge, one of the bridges that
00:27:47connects the left and right banks of the Dnieper, that is, two
00:27:50parts of the Ukrainian capital.
00:27:53Absolutely barbaric neighbors,
00:27:56the Russians. And that's why we have a terrible attitude towards the people,
00:27:59terrible days and nights. What is
00:28:02positive is that we have unity and strong partners, and
00:28:06we are very grateful, Friedrich, that you are here with an important message,
00:28:09a brave message from you personally and from your people. Thank
00:28:13you. Merc, after laying flowers with Zelenskyy at the
00:28:17national memorial, announced why
00:28:20he came to Kyiv on Sunday. Ukraine, with Germany, as well as with a number of
00:28:24other countries, has agreements on joint production of
00:28:28weapons. another package of military support worth
00:28:32one billion euros, we are providing financing for the joint production of
00:28:35interceptor drones, before winter we will give 350 million euros for
00:28:39energy aid, for generators, substations, necessary
00:28:43repairs. As in previous autumn and winter, the Russian army
00:28:46is intensively targeting heating plants, substations, power plants, and recently
00:28:50also civilian warehouses, schools, for a month now it has been targeting
00:28:53Kyiv day and night. The Russian ministry confirmed that it
00:28:57hit a bridge in Kyiv, claiming that Ukrainian
00:29:00troops were using it. The Russian Ministry of Defense
00:29:03announced that it will continue its attacks and that
00:29:07Zelensky is responsible for
00:29:09this. Aleksandra Gotfra,
00:29:12N1.
00:29:17The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States agrees
00:29:21to Tehran's conditions presented in June, announced the chief Iranian
00:29:24negotiator and parliament speaker Muhammad Galile.
00:29:28Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi announced that Tehran received a new
00:29:31American proposal for a peace plan and that its focus is on
00:29:34the nuclear program. He also said that the last Iranian proposal
00:29:38foresaw the opening of the strait for seven days. Washington
00:29:42rejected that proposal. The American president signaled that he would soon
00:29:45make a decision. The statement follows the deployment of additional troops to
00:29:49the Persian Gulf.
00:29:52We have a decision to make on Iran. Iran has been decimated, so the only
00:29:56question is whether it will be the easy or hard
00:29:58way.
00:30:03"We hope that the United States will choose the path of wisdom and reason,
00:30:07but if they again resort to military options, we are now better prepared than before and
00:30:11will take all measures necessary to defend ourselves. If they choose the path of
00:30:15diplomacy, we are ready. The United States has in the past lost
00:30:18in war in
00:30:19diplomacy.
00:30:23Catalonia was hit by a powerful storm accompanied by heavy rainfall, which left
00:30:27flooded streets, houses, and damaged roads.
00:30:30At least two people died. One person is missing, authorities
00:30:34announced. Firefighters had to rescue
00:30:38drivers trapped in cars. The storm temporarily
00:30:41disrupted air traffic in Barcelona as well as railway
00:30:44traffic in the region, according to Spanish
00:30:47media.
00:30:51Voting has begun in Brazil for the presidential elections, which could
00:30:54mean the country's return to a right-wing course. 13 candidates are fighting for the presidential
00:30:58office.
