00:00:00The coalition says it will negotiate with the winners, which is how it
00:00:03is in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Of course, if
00:00:07matrix it's SNSD, there will be talks with SNSD, but
00:00:11the red lines are known, which is the implementation of laws, the
00:00:14Dayton Peace Agreement, and we know that the Party
00:00:18of Democratic Action declaratively advocates for
00:00:22the European, i.e., NATO path of Bosnia and
00:00:25Herzegovina. In any case, these will be difficult negotiations. On the other
00:00:29hand, it will be interesting to see how it goes in the cantons. So,
00:00:32the SDP won a really significant number
00:00:35of votes in Sarajevo Canton. Will a new "troika" happen?
00:00:39Is that possible? In any case, what
00:00:43Izedbegović sees, he was among the first to congratulate Efendić
00:00:47on the significant number of votes, it is probably the Party for Bosnia and
00:00:50Herzegovina as potentially some new partners.
00:00:54Studio,
00:00:56so that was Dina Elin Dizdar from the election headquarters of the
00:01:00Party of Democratic Action. Let's go to our Mirna, she is currently in
00:01:03the "Under the Magnifying Glass" coalition, but previously
00:01:06technologies, thank God for followed the events in the SDP, a party that also achieved
00:01:10a good result, relatively, even though the Party of Democratic Action achieved
00:01:14twice as many votes as them at many levels,
00:01:17but the victory of the SDP candidate
00:01:20and the coalition, namely
00:01:22Denis Bećirović. Mirna, let's
00:01:26make an overview of this evening, unlike what Amir said about
00:01:30SDA and SDP. smiling faces tonight, especially
00:01:32Denis Bećirović.
00:01:35Well, Denis Bećirović definitely, Aila,
00:01:38however, what we all noticed immediately upon
00:01:42arriving here, where the SDP party headquarters
00:01:46was, is that we were announced
00:01:48addresses by Damir Mašić from the SDP
00:01:52Main Board and Nermin
00:01:54Nikšić as the party president, and immediately somehow
00:01:58there was confusion. Where is Denis Bećirović, who is
00:02:02actually the SDP candidate for the member
00:02:05of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina? We certainly
00:02:08didn't miss the opportunity to ask
00:02:11the party president when he spoke,
00:02:15and he said that since Denis
00:02:17Bećirović was supported by 14 parties, since he is actually
00:02:21the candidate of the "United for the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina" coalition, even though he comes from the
00:02:23SDP, he is still
00:02:27at the Europe Hotel and that
00:02:31they joined him after that address.
00:02:34What somehow
00:02:36expressed satisfaction, caused satisfaction
00:02:40in the SDP, is precisely the victory of Denis Bećirović,
00:02:44who again
00:02:46Herzegovina positions them remains in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
00:02:50But the fact that Ivan Begić, who
00:02:53was the SDP candidate, won the position of Vice President of Republika Srpska
00:02:57from the Croatian people, they also say
00:03:00that they are not dissatisfied with the results
00:03:04they achieved
00:03:06for the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nor for
00:03:10the federal parliament. They say that according to the procedures,
00:03:14they are doing somewhat better than in the previous
00:03:16election cycle, so somehow the SDP president, Nermin
00:03:20Nikšić, constantly emphasized that this
00:03:24will be an interesting autumn, that the formation of the government
00:03:28will largely depend on who will
00:03:31cooperate with whom. Also, just now, Tina
00:03:35mentioned the congratulations to Semir Efendić
00:03:38sent by Bakir Izedbegović, president of the SDA.
00:03:42A similar rhetoric could be heard
00:03:44in the SDP. Everyone is somewhat
00:03:47surprised, and the formation of the government
00:03:51will largely be influenced by who the Party for
00:03:54Bosnia and Herzegovina will cooperate with. As
00:03:58them that in no for the SDP and other levels of government,
00:04:01i.e., cantonal, they proudly highlighted the success of Adnan
00:04:05Šteta, who actually, as the first on the list, won the
00:04:08most votes, all the votes actually at the level
00:04:11of Sarajevo Canton. There, they actually
00:04:15hope, as it was announced during the campaign,
00:04:19that Adnan Šteta will take over the prime ministerial
00:04:22position when it comes to Sarajevo Canton, but they did not
00:04:26comment on other cantons. Nermin
00:04:29Nikšić said that he would do so in
00:04:32the coming days, that they certainly expect that wherever
00:04:35possible, that "troika" as a coalition will remain
00:04:39and survive and that they will continue to work as they
00:04:42have so far. You said, Dajla, at
00:04:46the very beginning of the announcement, I am currently here in the "Under the Magnifying Glass" coalition, and somehow they
00:04:49concluded this day
00:04:53primarily by talking about
00:04:56turnout, about those election irregularities that they
00:05:00recorded. When it comes to election technologies and the implementation
00:05:03of new election technologies, they say
00:05:06they consider it successful, that it was
00:05:09successfully implemented and that no significant
00:05:13irregularities were recorded, apart from the
00:05:16delays at the very opening of polling stations, and thus the prolongation
00:05:20of the closing of polling stations. However, again, those more serious
00:05:24irregularities were recorded,
00:05:28such as pressure on voters,
00:05:31but also the disapproval of observers. That is something that
00:05:34worries, over 100 actually such more serious irregularities
00:05:38were recorded. They also commented on the turnout itself.
00:05:42So, a little over 40%, over
00:05:4542% is the turnout according to the data
00:05:49of the "Under the Magnifying Glass" coalition, and they still say
00:05:51that maybe it doesn't show that the turnout is lower
00:05:55compared to the previous election cycle,
00:05:59but that it is actually an indicator that this time we had
00:06:02new election technologies that prevented
00:06:06the abuse of unused ballots.
00:06:09So, this will certainly be
00:06:13a topic of discussion in the coming period, and the "Under the Magnifying Glass" coalition
00:06:17itself announced new analyses for
00:06:19tomorrow.
00:06:24We heard our Mirna Zdralović live. Let's go live to Mostar
00:06:27where Dženana Kaminić Puce
00:06:30followed the celebration in HDZ. The latest information came
00:06:34from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia,
00:06:36Andrej Plenković, congratulating Darjana
00:06:40Filipović, the new member of the Presidency of Bosnia
00:06:43and Herzegovina from the Croatian people. Dženana, what was
00:06:46interesting that we saw at the press conference while Darijana Filipović was speaking was a long
00:06:50list of people she thanked,
00:06:53but she and Dragan Čović thanked
00:06:56Bosniaks.
00:07:02Both cameras specifically thanked the Bosniak electorate, as we
00:07:05could hear Darijana Filipović, as she said,
00:07:08she especially thanks them, because she said that the Bosniak
00:07:12people showed that they do not want to outvote and that they do not want tensions
00:07:16caused precisely by that. Dragan Čović also referred to that, but he
00:07:20said that the focus will further be on changes to the election
00:07:23law, so here is the celebration here in the HDZ election
00:07:26headquarters. So, it was initially
00:07:29quiet here, anticipation, after the results
00:07:33announced by the CIK, a thunderous applause followed
00:07:36here, the atmosphere absolutely changed, as we
00:07:40could hear Darijana Filipović. So, a landslide victory for the HDZ
00:07:44candidate, who had two opposing candidates, Slavjan Kovačević
00:07:48and Zdenko Lučić. As we could hear in her
00:07:51address, she said that she hopes that in the next four years
00:07:55her work will show that institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina can
00:07:58be different, that the decisions that will be made
00:08:02in the coming period will be decisions of mutual respect
00:08:05and deference. On the other hand, Dragan Čović spoke
00:08:09about the next steps that he will take
00:08:13in the period that follows. So, besides the changes to the election
00:08:16law, he focused on the positioning of the Croatian
00:08:20people, as well as on the strategy until 2020, until
00:08:232040, which will address
00:08:26the position of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the position of the Croatian people, so how
00:08:30it should look in the future.
00:08:33Čović also spoke about a convincing victory in
00:08:37six cantons, so we heard about Herzegovina-Neretva Canton,
00:08:40West Herzegovina, Posavina.
00:08:42Central Bosnia Canton 10 and
00:08:46so on. So, he also said that with Darijana
00:08:49Filipović, he has a majority at the state and federal
00:08:53level. So, I will remind you of the 2022 elections, when the
00:08:57HDZ list had four mandates at
00:09:00the state level, these were three direct and one compensatory.
00:09:04So, all of this will be discussed more in the coming
00:09:07period. So, even before Dragan Čović and
00:09:11Darijana Filipović, Borena Krišto and Lidija Bradara
00:09:14also addressed the media and spoke about how during
00:09:18the campaign, the HDZ focused on the program itself and
00:09:21its goals, so the Croatian electorate recognized that,
00:09:25and now it is seen in the votes that
00:09:29they expected nothing less than a convincing victory for their
00:09:33candidate, Darijana Filipović. We know that her candidacy
00:09:36was somehow mostly focused on messages related
00:09:40to the political equality of Croats
00:09:43in Bosnia and Herzegovina,
00:09:46security, stability, and the European path of Bosnia
00:09:49and Herzegovina. So, the celebration continues
00:09:52here, they certainly have reasons to celebrate, and we are sure
00:09:56it will last deep into the night.
00:09:59From Mostar and the HDZ headquarters, Đinana Kaminić Puce reported, where she also
00:10:02followed the atmosphere and events. Let's continue to our Azur Delić,
00:10:06who is currently in the "United for the State"
00:10:09headquarters. Before that, Azur was also in the Party for Bosnia and
00:10:12Herzegovina. Azur, both "United for the State" and the Party for Bosnia
00:10:16and Herzegovina are quite satisfied tonight, and they have reason to be.
00:10:20Semir Efendić, as we just heard, is very
00:10:23satisfied with the party's growth and the votes he
00:10:27himself won.
00:10:31Ajla, I will summarize my personal impression in one sentence.
00:10:35So, since I was at these two places, as you
00:10:38mentioned, we saw two surprises. So, it seems to me
00:10:42that the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina is surprised
00:10:45by such a rapid growth in votes, considering that they are
00:10:48the fourth party in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that, as
00:10:52Džemal Smajić says, they are in eight out of 10 cantons'
00:10:56assemblies. And in Sarajevo Canton, they are the third strongest
00:11:00party, so they left behind the People and Justice
00:11:03Democratic Front, "Our Party."
00:11:07So, they actually recorded the biggest growth.
00:11:10As they state, they express satisfaction, they were actually
00:11:14taken aback in that sense. They expected
00:11:17a good result, but it personally seems to me,
00:11:20talking to representatives of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina,
00:11:24they didn't expect such a large
00:11:27number of votes. Of course, they are satisfied with how many
00:11:30votes Semir Efendić, as a candidate for a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, got,
00:11:34over 130 thousand votes. That was one surprise. And
00:11:38when we actually came here, where Denis
00:11:41Bećirović was and where the coalition for the state
00:11:44gathered to celebrate Denis Bećirović's victory,
00:11:48there wasn't much celebration precisely because of Denis
00:11:51Bećirović's stance, who said that the situation in the country is difficult. He reminded
00:11:55of Jablanica, so that there are few reasons, if any,
00:11:58for celebration. But he said that he will, as he states, continue
00:12:02to work responsibly. And, on the other hand,
00:12:05it seems to me that it is surprising how many votes the Party of Democratic
00:12:09Action received, over one hundred thousand more than
00:12:13the SDP, so when we look at the level of the federation,
00:12:16the parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, they are
00:12:20surprised. Of course, now combinations
00:12:23and analyses are underway. So, everyone will surely
00:12:27be making some analyses tonight, some new possibilities
00:12:30regarding the political situation in Bosnia and
00:12:34Herzegovina at all these levels of government. It will be
00:12:37truly interesting to follow how things
00:12:40will unfold regarding the formation of governments and in which
00:12:44direction coalitions will go. But what we heard from the Party for Bosnia and
00:12:48Herzegovina, and this result they achieved gives them the right
00:12:51to say, is that they will be an unavoidable
00:12:54factor. Now, the question is, of course, with whom they will
00:12:57coalesce. Will they align with the SDA
00:13:01or perhaps a coalition with the "troika"? All of that
00:13:04is unknown, of course, but this
00:13:07result of the Party for Bosnia and
00:13:11as a party that must be consulted. They will be,
00:13:15as they state, an unavoidable factor. So, those two
00:13:18surprises, Ajela, we notice tonight.
00:13:22And so, Denis Bećirović did win with this
00:13:25success, but it personally seems to me that
00:13:28they are not satisfied with the result when it comes to the total number of votes,
00:13:32so we are not talking about the member of the Presidency,
00:13:35but about other levels of government, primarily this level of the Federation of Bosnia and
00:13:38Herzegovina.
00:13:41That was Azur Delić live. They are not satisfied
00:13:44with the results in the People and
00:13:47Justice. Melika Balihožić is live with us in the coming
00:13:50minutes. Melika, we heard Elmedin Konaković. He
00:13:54believes that
00:13:57the indignation, to put it mildly, with the work of the troika
00:14:00has been the most significant consequence or has been paid precisely
00:14:04by NiP.
00:14:08Exactly, he seemed quite sincere, he said
00:14:12there were mistakes, and then he extensively referred to numerous examples
00:14:16in Sarajevo, everything that doesn't work, from water to
00:14:19city cleanliness. But he underlined that "we made mistakes, and we paid for them,"
00:14:23meaning the People and Justice party.
00:14:25The atmosphere is quite gloomy, almost all night here, and for good
00:14:29reason. We can freely say that this party was perhaps
00:14:32on the biggest test, considering that it is still relatively
00:14:36young, that it achieved a great result
00:14:38in the 2022 elections,
00:14:42and now it has returned to these next general elections with a much
00:14:46larger number of regular lists. It seems to me,
00:14:49seven more lists compared to 2022. For the
00:14:52first time, they had candidates for
00:14:56the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the entity of Republika Srpska, candidates for
00:15:00the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, and a candidate for the President
00:15:04of Republika Srpska. We know that last year at the state level,
00:15:07or rather, for four years, they had those three
00:15:10mandates, and they were quite, let's say, solid in
00:15:14the federation, where they had seven representatives in the House
00:15:17of Representatives. Now, those numbers will be
00:15:20quite questionable. Konaković referred to
00:15:24certain cantons where good results were still achieved.
00:15:28He highlighted Bosansko-Podrinje Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton,
00:15:31Central Bosnia and Tuzla Cantons, where it is reliably known that they will also
00:15:35remain parliamentary. However, he admitted. It is quite clear that
00:15:38for Sarajevo Canton, things remain uncertain, and when asked about the future
00:15:42of the "troika," he stated that it is somehow a question that will
00:15:46perhaps most significantly mark this night for them in terms of further
00:15:50coalition building, in terms of the results, after all,
00:15:53of our party, which went through an even more difficult
00:15:56time when it comes to precisely that coalition building. He only
00:16:00mentioned what he also mentioned during the campaign, which is that there will be no
00:16:04coalition with SNSD, and that ultimately,
00:16:08for Sarajevo Canton, as well as for the state and all other levels,
00:16:11the SDA will now be the one to ask. He emphasized again what he said
00:16:15in the campaign, that he will put the state first and
00:16:18state institutions, that he does not exclude talks with anyone, except, as
00:16:21I said, that option with the SNSD.
00:16:25Quite sincere, quite
00:16:29disappointed, I say again, a gloomy atmosphere considering
00:16:32the result as it is." We heard our Melih
00:16:35Balihodžić, and also previously other
00:16:40reporters who were in the election headquarters of the parties,
00:16:43followed the atmosphere and the first reactions after the Central Election Commission
00:16:46announced the results, which we received
00:16:50quite early, surprisingly, we are not used to that. So,
00:16:53already around 8:10-15 minutes, we had the results
00:16:56that were immediately commented on by political
00:17:00parties. We deal with coalitions,
00:17:03we are really not used to it. Before,
00:17:06we waited until midnight for the Central Election Commission, today the situation is different, many
00:17:09press conferences were held at the same time, we didn't manage to hear comments from
00:17:13our party, they say they understood the message from the citizens.
00:17:17Here's what they said briefly.
00:17:20I take this opportunity to first
00:17:22and foremost congratulate the future
00:17:25and current member of the Presidency of Bosnia and
00:17:29Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, on his convincing victory,
00:17:32our joint candidate. That is the news
00:17:35that particularly pleases us tonight.
00:17:39On the other hand, we also received the results
00:17:43in record, that is, time,
00:17:46and I take this opportunity to mention that with new
00:17:50technologies, we have truly created electoral history in Bosnia and Herzegovina,
00:17:53that never before have we had the opportunity to analyze
00:17:56the received results so quickly.
00:18:00What is quite clear from these
00:18:03results is that the citizens, especially of the Federation of Bosnia
00:18:06and Herzegovina, voted for a change
00:18:09of government at practically all
00:18:12levels. I am sorry that we cannot
00:18:16call the situation the same in Republika Srpska.
00:18:19Namely, as for the results, that is,
00:18:23of the "troika" itself and the previous government, it is clear that we have
00:18:26possibilities for new majorities at different levels of government, from
00:18:30Sarajevo Canton to the federal government itself. As for
00:18:34our party, for a start, I can first and foremost
00:18:37congratulate our colleagues in Tuzla, or in
00:18:40Tuzla Canton, as it is the first time since the founding of our
00:18:43party that we have a direct mandate in the Parliament
00:18:46of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we should have,
00:18:50therefore, when it comes to the number of mandates in the assembly
00:18:53of Tuzla Canton, doubled that result. Unfortunately, that
00:18:57situation is not the same in Sarajevo Canton, and
00:19:01we have indeed received the message and criticism, that is, through these
00:19:05elections from our voters in Sarajevo Canton,
00:19:08mm, but also when it comes to the state level
00:19:12of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where we
00:19:14are recording a decrease in the number of mandates for our
00:19:18party, both in Sarajevo Canton and so far at the state
00:19:21level, mm, this is a message that our party does
00:19:25not take lightly. We spent 30 days talking to our
00:19:28fellow citizens, to our voters, and therefore, every
00:19:32criticism we receive, I assure
00:19:35way does our party take it
00:19:39lightly. At the same time, I use this opportunity to
00:19:42thank all our voters at all levels, because our party
00:19:46is parliamentary at all levels of government, from the state level,
00:19:50federation, cantonal assemblies, we are still waiting
00:19:53for results, for example from Zenica-Doboj Canton,
00:19:56Bosansko-Podrinje Canton, where we are on the verge, therefore
00:19:59of entering the cantonal assemblies.
00:20:02Of course, these are still not complete results
00:20:05and we are not yet in a position
00:20:08to talk and analyze the complete picture, but what
00:20:11is clear, as I said at the beginning, is that there are
00:20:14possibilities for other majorities, and that is
00:20:18a message, I repeat, that all of us who have
00:20:21participated in government at all levels must
00:20:24take very seriously. Of course,
00:20:27the party's bodies will discuss this. As the president
00:20:30of our party, I take responsibility
00:20:33and believe that as the first person of the party, I must
00:20:37first and foremost bear that responsibility, and then all
00:20:41my male and female colleagues after
00:20:43me.
00:20:46We heard Sabina Ćudić from our party. Here's what the Croatian
00:20:50Republican Party and HDZ
00:20:521990 said.
00:20:55We need to honestly admit that modern technologies
00:20:59have completely reduced the possibilities
00:21:02of manipulation. So, there
00:21:05were irregularities. We pointed out
00:21:07these irregularities, published them publicly.
00:21:10So, the fact is, I received
00:21:14marked ballots. This did not
00:21:17only happen to me, it happened in
00:21:20dozens of polling stations, not only in Mostar, but throughout
00:21:24the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
00:21:28But I must admit that modern technologies
00:21:31have succeeded, if nothing else, in
00:21:35returning our dead to eternal
00:21:37rest, may God grant them eternal rest. And
00:21:40when you look at the percentage
00:21:44of turnout, we can
00:21:46see exactly how many votes are the result
00:21:50of fraud in previous election processes. So, thank
00:21:54God for modern
00:21:56mm scanning RFID,
00:22:00fingerprints, personal data and all
00:22:03that. There were irregularities, but now if
00:22:06we use the terminology that it was, that it
00:22:09determined the election result, we cannot say that
00:22:13because the result is realistic, the result is
00:22:16what it is, the people have chosen and...
00:22:20After the official announcement of the results, as I said
00:22:23earlier, we are going into battle. So, we have fulfilled
00:22:27our goals that we set, we are parliamentary
00:22:31at all levels, we have met our political expectations,
00:22:34the primary goal was to be represented at all
00:22:37levels, we are represented from the House of Representatives of Bosnia and
00:22:40Herzegovina to all parliaments. We are still waiting
00:22:44for results, and I am sure that that result on a scale
00:22:47of one to five tomorrow afternoon
00:22:50will be a good four. This coalition continues its
00:22:54path, we have, what is most important to me, okay,
00:22:58the result, cycles come and go, we have gained a
00:23:01level of trust, we have gained a level of mutual
00:23:05respect, we have gained a level of our
00:23:09relations in line with what our people
00:23:12demand from us, which is to group together. We have received new
00:23:15technologies, we are very handicapped in that material
00:23:19sense. "We don't have state money, we don't have money for
00:23:22campaigns, we don't have money to give away for votes, we don't have
00:23:26tools to scare and blackmail people, we don't have any instruments with which
00:23:30we could possibly threaten anyone, but we did
00:23:33everything to try to protect those who were under abnormal
00:23:36pressure in these elections. People, you don't even realize
00:23:40that pressure. So, I understand all those people, people are fighting for
00:23:43their own existence, their families', not to mention
00:23:46the media space in this campaign, so we don't have money to pay." Unlike
00:23:50the HDZ of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has its own media, it talks on them
00:23:53for as long as it wants, and from all of that, we go to the parliamentary level
00:23:57at every level. I am especially happy
00:24:01and what particularly pleases me, I have shown that with
00:24:04my policy, these are the
00:24:07areas where there are the fewest Croats and where they are
00:24:11completely abandoned, that is the entity Republika Srpska, and I can comfortably
00:24:15tell you, regardless of the results you have seen, a huge
00:24:19number of votes were returned for Mr. Igor Balukčić, Igor
00:24:23Balukčić is the new president, Vice-President of Republika Srpska,
00:24:26and if you want me to be personal, that is one of my greatest
00:24:30political victories in life, so Croats will not be
00:24:34abandoned in the RS entity, we will take care of
00:24:36them.
00:24:40So, dear viewers, we have heard the messages from Ilija Cvitanović from
00:24:44HDZ 1990 coalition,
00:24:47Amir, we heard all the messages tonight from all political parties,
00:24:51we did a round of reporters, it remains for us to comment with
00:24:54you, dear guests here in the studio, Mr.
00:24:57Prohić, now that we draw a line on this
00:25:01election night, what will actually be the most important
00:25:04message of these elections, in your opinion? Well, one
00:25:07of those messages that emerges
00:25:10is that the parties that have a strong voter
00:25:14base have won,
00:25:17uh, that means that those parties... never fall
00:25:20below a certain level, no matter what they say
00:25:24and what they do. The other
00:25:27thing that is important to point out tonight, because that awaits us
00:25:30in the next four
00:25:32years. Uh, things with
00:25:36elections don't end on election day,
00:25:39mhm, it should finally, not only
00:25:43political actors, but also citizens,
00:25:46realize that it is necessary
00:25:48to work
00:25:51the saying "until the elections and beyond", I
00:25:55will say one of my
00:25:57pearls of wisdom,
00:25:59uh, the entire experience, not only with us, but... in
00:26:02the world confirms the following: no
00:26:06political party, regardless of its ideological
00:26:10on which its program is based and regardless
00:26:13of its program, will not do for the so-called general or
00:26:17public interest more than the public
00:26:20forces it to. Now we come to yet another
00:26:23key problem of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
00:26:27the public in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not a political
00:26:30factor, that is... one of the big
00:26:33problems, until that changes,
00:26:37I think that the general situation cannot,
00:26:41no, it cannot will not change. Another
00:26:44theoretical note:
00:26:48in every society,
00:26:51political parties and
00:26:53citizens have power. The problem is the following:
00:26:57that politicians have effective power, and citizens
00:27:01only hypothetical power.
00:27:04What I am talking about now is best seen in the example
00:27:07of events in Serbia in the last two years, where
00:27:11the public, citizens, led by students,
00:27:14became a political factor. How the elections
00:27:17will end, I don't know, but no matter how they end, at this
00:27:20moment - polls say that
00:27:23the student list is
00:27:26ahead of the ruling party. How it will
00:27:30end, I don't know, but whatever poll, but..." We will see, yes, but no matter how it
00:27:33ends, the fact is
00:27:36that through the student movement, actually through
00:27:39the rebellion that later evolved
00:27:42into a movement, because in addition to students,
00:27:46various structures
00:27:49of citizens joined. Therefore, that is no longer a student rebellion, but
00:27:52it is now a civil movement. So, to return to our
00:27:56situation, so, the situation in Serbia
00:27:59shows that citizens can have
00:28:03political power, it's just that their power is
00:28:06hypothetical, and
00:28:09the situation in BiH will change the moment when
00:28:13that hypothetical power becomes real,
00:28:16as it happened in Serbia. Mrs.
00:28:19Cenić, the general impression of all press
00:28:23conferences, who was the happiest at the press conference? The one who came out first,
00:28:27Milorad Dodik. We now have the presidency
00:28:30uh, which many feared. "Denis
00:28:33Bećirović says that foreign policy will not change, or rather, foreign
00:28:37policy must not change, it is evident that it will change to some extent, however,
00:28:41we must not forget one of the key questions that was in the campaign, will
00:28:45Dodik, that happiest one, be pardoned?
00:28:48Well, I wouldn't rule it out at all that he will be
00:28:51pardoned, because as I said in the previous general elections
00:28:55and I think I was also with you in the studio
00:28:58that making a coalition
00:29:02m'. uh two against one, meaning where one
00:29:05is fragmented, broken, that's the trio, the octet, what were
00:29:09they, it's not possible. These are the key
00:29:12players, that's Čović and Dodik, they hold the keys to Bosnia
00:29:16and Herzegovina, and that's why I said immediately,
00:29:19I congratulate Denis Bećirović, and I especially congratulate
00:29:23the ladies, this,
00:29:252/1, difficult, foreign policy is conducted
00:29:29in the presidency,
00:29:31it can always be. dangerous, now the question is, you know,
00:29:34if Mr. Bećirović invokes vital national
00:29:37interest, now tell me what kind of support he will have, how much
00:29:41support, what, who, whom and anything
00:29:45at all, because you know vital interest over there
00:29:48in Republika Srpska, it's known how that
00:29:51quickly goes, and how it will go here,
00:30:04let's not forget, that both Mr. Efendić
00:30:08and Mr. Konaković came out of the ranks
00:30:10of the SDA, they have long mastered election
00:30:14technologies, how to work with voters, how it
00:30:17goes and therefore it has its results,
00:30:20just as Milorad Dodik, uh, you know,
00:30:24he was educated by Americans, an enormous amount was invested
00:30:26in him, at one time, the training
00:30:30of his members, the training of the entire party,
00:30:33and that has yielded results, not to mention that he knows very well
00:30:37how many years he has been in politics, he knows these players,
00:30:41that's terrible, I mean he knows exactly who
00:30:44writes to whom, what is the price on the head
00:30:48of whom, who is the courier for this one, who is the courier
00:30:52for that one, and so, I mean, it's an open
00:30:55secret, many of us know those couriers.
