00:00:00and execute orders that come down from the top of the party,
00:00:04blackmailing people, organizing joint visits to rallies and this
00:00:08time to collect signatures, for example, people from Infostan called us
00:00:11a couple of days ago who sent us photos that people
00:00:15during working
00:00:16behavior for hours were organized for and organized to go
00:00:20habit, your morning in to a location here in Vračar, in order to give
00:00:23a signature for uh, the list
00:00:26of the ruling party, so we have it documented.
00:00:30photos, who are the people, who are the people who organized them, who
00:00:33forced them to do it, I would like to tell the people on this occasion, first
00:00:37I would like to thank all the people who have the courage
00:00:40to come forward and report the oppressors, uh, to
00:00:44encourage them to, in the upcoming elections, even if they gave their signature
00:00:47uh, to save their job, uh,
00:00:51to give their vote to the student list, list number three,
00:00:54thank you very much Nikola, this was Nikola Stanković from
00:00:57the "Kreni-Promeni" movement. With his last answer,
00:01:01he gave me a cue. In this show
00:01:04we also reported last week that workers of the public
00:01:08utility company "Gradska čistoća" exactly as he said,
00:01:11organized trips to Mala Mokri Lug to
00:01:14sign support for the list, the election list
00:01:17of the Serbian Progressive Party. All in all, we could hear
00:01:21how it looks in practice, how voters are evaluated,
00:01:25more precisely employees in public, we have now seen in
00:01:28private companies. The "Kreni-Promeni" movement continues to
00:01:32document this and, as they say, appeals to citizens to
00:01:36report it under the sign of anonymity,
00:01:38of course.
00:01:41Thank you Miloš, you heard our reporter Miloš
00:01:44Zekić live. In the daily analysis, I will talk to Professor Ivan Stanović from the Faculty
00:01:55is not new that voters are blackmailed
00:01:58before the elections. How should
00:02:01we look at that? Well, we should look at it in several
00:02:04ways. One is that the government does not
00:02:08allow people the right to choose and forces people, that is, blackmails
00:02:11them, blackmails people for a crust of bread to vote for
00:02:15them, that is one of the most unusual
00:02:18coalitions that exist. So, on the one hand, you have, well, people who are employed, not
00:02:22so much, but people who are social cases whom the government also blackmails, people who
00:02:25are on the verge of existence who are thus forced to be in
00:02:30"alliance with the richest layer of society that this
00:02:34country has ever had, because their wealth has become so great that these people from
00:02:37the first group cannot comprehend how rich these people who are blackmailing them are. So that's one
00:02:41thing. Second thing, we know that and
00:02:45we must resist it, so we need to explain to these people
00:02:48what mechanisms they can use
00:02:51to avoid voting for such
00:02:54such principals or rulers. So everyone should know
00:02:58that even if they have to photograph the ballot and so on, that is also illegal,
00:03:01okay, but if they are already doing that, they can circle what they were told, but
00:03:05after that, cross it out and circle what they actually want, and that
00:03:09vote is legal, legitimate, it will not
00:03:11contribute to their oppressors, to put it that way. So
00:03:15that's one side with that population, but what's
00:03:18important is that we who are fighting against it and who
00:03:22want freedom for this society and for our children
00:03:26should in some way
00:03:29motivate people from our side to go to those elections to
00:03:32create a counterweight to all that. So we need to motivate people
00:03:37to participate in the campaign, to go to the elections, even
00:03:40if they were not involved until
00:03:43now, if they don't follow independent media, if they are not on social networks, we need
00:03:47to somehow help them to get involved so that we can free
00:03:51both ourselves and these people whom the regime is thus
00:03:54blackmailing, so that we can finally breathe freely and live in a free country.
00:03:58How difficult it is... these blackmails in smaller communities. We saw
00:04:02what the local elections looked like last year in
00:04:0510 or more than 10 municipalities, what those
00:04:09pressures looked like, the elections themselves. How
00:04:12to encourage people if they are afraid, if someone
00:04:16is threatening them, if they are afraid that they will lose their job. I think that
00:04:20it is, I mean, first of all, in smaller communities
00:04:23it is horror. So in smaller communities in a large
00:04:27number of smaller places in Serbia the system is designed in such a way
00:04:30that there is a large public or state enterprise that employs
00:04:34a significant number of people there, through which the regime then blackmails
00:04:38the entire town, the entire local self-government, and
00:04:41so on. So it is a very difficult situation,
00:04:44uh, and the fears are great, that is completely, that is completely
00:04:47understandable and justified, but we must find a way
00:04:51to help those people to fight against it. I think that what
00:04:55gives the most hope
00:04:58is that these are the elections when their suffering
00:05:02will end, if they now gather the courage to
00:05:05resist this. They don't have to resist today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, but at the polling station
00:05:09they can, they should do that. We all hope that from October
00:05:1326th their suffering will end. Will abstainers be the ones who
00:05:17will go to the polls this year, those who
00:05:20for years, when we talk about election cycles, said, I have
00:05:24no one to vote for, everyone is the same? Do you think this
00:05:28election cycle will be different in that regard? This
00:05:32election cycle will be completely different in that regard. We see that in
00:05:35different ways. The first and main, most important,
00:05:39most emotional are the student, popular
00:05:42protests, rebellion, pilgrimages that we have been watching for the
00:05:45last two years. So now
00:05:48students have started again, that bicycle tour across Serbia.
00:05:52Yesterday the program was presented in Vojvodina,
00:05:56it will be presented in the rest of Serbia where people will come out, as they say,
00:05:59to present all that. We see that in those
00:06:03pictures from rallies. For some
00:06:06reason the regime's
00:06:09regime's principals forced their members
00:06:12to set up stands next to student stands, and you see that difference, you see how
00:06:16people, old, young, male,
00:06:20female, that is, everyone gathers next to student stands, while at SNS
00:06:24stands there is no one. And you saw, that is, when people
00:06:27went around Serbia those pilgrimages for protests in
00:06:31Novi Sad, in Kragujevac, in Niš, in Novi Pazar, and
00:06:34the tour to Strasbourg and so on. That is, the people gather around
00:06:38the students. So remember the first time on the road to Novi Sad when
00:06:41mothers from Srem brought out bread, brought out everything
00:06:45they had from home and crying welcomed students like
00:06:48like liberators after the First
00:06:51World War. So in that sense we see that the
00:06:54people have risen and we have never had
00:06:57such a massive series of massive rallies in our history.
00:07:01Secondly, we see through research that people finally say I have
00:07:05someone to vote for, not against someone,
00:07:09against, I want to vote for. Now they are
00:07:12ready to say I have someone to vote for to call
00:07:16others to vote for the student list,
00:07:19at the same time this regime and its
00:07:23members have become so fed up with them that people
00:07:26are willing to vote for a stone cabbage rather
00:07:28than for for for representatives
00:07:31of the regime, especially now given that these lists for the elections
00:07:35have been released and that we see that on
00:07:38the regime's list it's like a list of residents of Cacilanda.
00:07:42So, really, a decent person has no business voting for such a
00:07:46list. I will remind you when we talk about about that one
00:07:50kind of association, that
00:07:53assemblies also arose somehow
00:07:55during these previous two years, that is, people started to
00:07:59unite, not only in Belgrade, in almost all
00:08:03municipalities, but also throughout Serbia. How crucial will the
00:08:07role of assemblies be in preserving the election
00:08:10process? Well... assemblies are, yes, this
00:08:14is, yes, you mentioned that well, so assemblies were formed
00:08:18when students said, what is stopping you from doing what we are doing,
00:08:21organize yourselves, agree, do something. I am paraphrasing
00:08:25and simplifying, but essentially that's how it is, and people said, well, yes, let's do that, and
00:08:29they organized assemblies and held actions, collected donations, helped with
00:08:32collecting signatures, they will be engaged
00:08:35in guarding the election results,
00:08:38controlling and so on, and I think that is...
00:08:42and as many people as possible should get involved in such activities, so
00:08:46if I can, I will join the assembly, if I can't
00:08:49I will see how to encourage people around
00:08:52me, to post in Viber groups, to share
00:08:56a message, information, let's go there to collect signatures,
00:09:00here the support process and so on. That is important because
00:09:04I think that's now a matter of biology that we use in
00:09:07social sciences. So in our brains there are neurons for
00:09:11behavior. Or they call them mirror neurons. So
00:09:15when we see someone doing something, there's a good chance that we
00:09:45that everything we do is in favor
00:09:48of the victory of anti-regime forces, that is, in this
00:09:52case, the student movement and the student list, to
00:09:55inform everyone around us about it, so that everyone sees that we are participating,
00:09:59and the more people do it, then new ones join.
00:10:03So you saw now when the signatures were collected
00:10:07for the election list, for
00:10:10the parliamentary elections. So... It was a matter
00:10:14of attitude to come there and stand
00:10:17in that line. People did it happily, satisfied and
00:10:20proud, even when it became clear that the signatures were collected during the first
00:10:24day. "People stayed, as long as
00:10:27there was a chance to sign, and even when the chance to sign was gone, they stayed there
00:10:31because they thought it was important. And so it sends a picture of
00:10:34strength, of unity towards a just
00:10:38goal. That should be done every day in every aspect.
00:10:42Before us, that is, before you is the beginning
00:10:45of the academic year. Stories have appeared,
00:10:48no, not stories, but some plenums have discussed
00:10:52whether they would perhaps go through
00:10:56blockades. How do you view that and how do you see what
00:11:00the next academic year will look like? Perhaps you can comment on
00:11:03what is happening to colleagues from the Faculty of Philosophy
00:11:07in Niš who have not received salaries, who
00:11:11were eventually annexed by the government, or rather the ministry,
00:11:14to the Faculty of Serbian Studies, even though the university's statute did not
00:11:18allow it. There are several questions here. Now if I
00:11:22get lost, you can remind me what I missed. No, so regarding
00:11:25blockades, our students tell us that they are not thinking
00:11:29about that. So that is not currently, as far as I understand, the
00:11:32subject of their
00:11:35concern. So on the one hand, people are involved in studies, on the other hand,
00:11:38in the student movement and
00:11:41these extracurricular activities, so I think they have their hands full
00:11:45in that regard, and I would view all the rest
00:11:48through the prism of the upcoming culmination of the fight against
00:11:51this regime and the elections that are scheduled for October 25th.
00:11:55So, many people have suffered
00:11:59a lot under this regime during these 15 years,
00:12:03especially in the last two years since the canopy fell
00:12:06in broad daylight in peacetime conditions, killing 160 people.
00:12:10And so whoever rebelled, whoever said that
00:12:14it was not right, was the subject of some kind of retribution which
00:12:17was more or less successful, and
00:12:20unfortunately that is how it is. I talked about the fact that teachers were the first to be targeted.
00:12:24So many, I'm not going to list them again, I don't want to forget
00:12:27anyone, so teachers, academic community,
00:12:30lawyers, uh,
00:12:34media, pharmacists in another context, but
00:12:37whoever rebelled, that is, got into trouble.
00:12:40So what the regime
00:12:43has left, besides that is that
00:12:46bare force in conjunction with crime to
00:12:49make people's lives miserable as long as they
00:12:52can still do it. So they have nothing else to offer.
00:12:55In that sense, I should look at all this. So the problem
00:12:59is, of course, in Novi Sad that the faculty is split, that the state is making
00:13:03decisions of the university against all rules
00:13:12Faculty of Serbian Studies, that's right. When we say Novi Sad, we can talk
00:13:16about the Faculty of Philosophy there too, where professors lost their jobs, that's right.
00:13:20Professor Kleud, Professor Mihić, we can talk about
00:13:23Jovina Gymnasium. which was destroyed, the oldest school
00:13:26in the country. In Belgrade, the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium and so
00:13:30on. So I don't want to list them so that we don't unfairly
00:13:34forget anyone. So, the whole point is that everything, everything comes back
00:13:37to the culmination of this dissatisfaction that will be broken
00:13:40by that election victory on October
00:13:4415th, October 25th. So I think that all the activities we have,
00:13:47all the people who care about freedom
00:13:51in this country should be directed towards that. That's where we come back
00:13:55to the previous story, how to help each other to involve as
00:13:58many people as possible in the campaign itself, so that on election
00:14:02day they come out to vote, to defend the election will and so
00:14:05on. How do you see at this moment
00:14:07uh the movement, that is, the parties, that is, the lists that were
00:14:11declared by the Republic Election Commission, uh,
00:14:14how are things developing when we talk about that, about the campaign itself? We talked
00:14:18a lot, now about students through, you know,
00:14:21the student list and the activities they have. How do
00:14:25others behave in this election race? Uh, in
00:14:29one word, predictably. So we have that predictable
00:14:32behavior. So, on the one hand, uh,
00:14:35all those who are against the regime, more or
00:14:39less, stand with the student list, because that is the
00:14:42most rational way to win those elections
00:14:45and to overthrow the regime. So all other
00:14:49stories which are otherwise legitimate, all other calculations fall by the wayside.
00:14:53So what's important, we don't live in Denmark
00:14:56or some country
00:14:59of consolidated democracy, we live in a regime
00:15:02of tyranny, to which, it is clear, the people who lead our struggle,
00:15:06the student movement, have decided that this struggle will take place at the polls.
00:15:10That battle is scheduled for October
00:15:1225th. In that sense,
00:15:16so my colleagues from the faculty have been explaining in recent days how
00:15:19the D'Hondt system of mandate allocation works and so on.
00:15:23So the system favors the option that is
00:15:26the strongest, towards it the
00:15:30largest number of mandates is transferred from those who may not
00:15:34cross the threshold, and therefore it is not at all rational to go to the polls if you are against
00:15:37the regime. It is not rational to go to the polls if there is a chance that you will not cross the threshold,
00:15:41and everyone has recognized that, more or less. Some didn't count on it at all,
00:15:45some did, but so that's completely obvious on the one hand.
00:15:48On the other hand, members of the regime, you see that everything is falling apart
00:15:51among them because they are no longer sure
00:15:55about their positions on October 26th. How do
00:15:59you view the fact that the man who is the president of this country
00:16:02is the list leader of the Serbian Progressive
00:16:06Party? Is that constitutional? Well, that's
00:16:09just one more in a series of things that are unconstitutional that they are doing, but I
00:16:13would again, that is, again appeal not to deal
00:16:16with that. So you and your viewers know that for
00:16:20him and his people, neither human nor divine laws apply
00:16:24in this country, if they are not in their favor. They will say everything is according to the law, if they need to
00:16:28arrest and beat their opponents, but when they do something, for them
00:16:31it is law. Yes, I remembered the example of Croatia. The Constitutional
00:16:34Court did not allow Milanović. The Constitutional Court did not
00:16:37allow Milanović. In Romania, the elections were annulled when
00:16:40when when they realized one of the candidates was a Russian agent, just
00:16:44like this Nestorović appeared now, who should not
00:16:48be allowed to run. These people who submitted lists
00:16:51for SNS and SPS with that many
00:16:55signatures, it is unknown where, when, who collected them. We see from those reports that they were
00:16:58verified in the municipality, so that is also probably illegal. So all that
00:17:02is known to people. But what is the focus now for us, I
00:17:06think, and for the viewers, and for everyone who is against all that, is what
00:17:10else can we do to help all that to end
00:17:13on October 25th? That is the main, main topic
00:17:17and the main question that we need to think about. Everything is clear to us, what
00:17:21they did and what they will do,
00:23:37has initiated preliminary proceedings against two minors for a case of sexual
00:23:41harassment at a school in Mrčajevci. The same prosecutor's office
00:23:44only a few days earlier claimed that the minor in the school was neither
00:23:48raped nor abused. Three
00:23:50months after Mrčajevci rose up over the case of sexual
00:23:53harassment of a peer in the elementary school Tatomir Anđelić,
00:23:57the boy, victim of violence, attends classes,
00:24:00the suspects for the attack follow classes from home. We are
00:24:03talking about this with architect Ksenija Đorđević, who is on the
00:24:14as someone who is an architect and who is on
00:24:18this student list, are talking about this case that I
00:24:21just announced. You went to
00:24:25Mrčajevci the day before yesterday, what was the reason for you to go there in
00:24:29your capacity as a citizen? Yes, I went to Mrčajevci as a concerned
00:24:32citizen to simply ask the competent institutions
00:24:36for information, given that
00:24:39I saw a video where the abused boy
00:24:42gives information about what happened to him at school.
00:24:46It arrived at the same time as my brother sent me a video of my brother...
00:24:50who is starting first grade. I thought, well,
00:24:53is it possible that something like this is happening, is it possible that
00:24:57if something like that, God forbid, happens to my nephew, it will be
00:25:01qualified as some kind of inappropriate behavior, what
00:25:04I heard in that video really
00:25:08upset me. I, as a concerned citizen,
00:25:11went to the competent institutions to get
00:25:14information, to tell us what happened there. When you say
00:25:18competent institutions, you go to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in
00:25:22Čačak, which is currently handling this case. What was that
00:25:26meeting like, or rather, your visit to the prosecutor's office itself? Yes,
00:25:29I went to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Čačak, and
00:25:33I was received by the chief public prosecutor, Jasmina
00:25:36Lazović. Uh and uh
00:25:40during that meeting, an official
00:25:43note was made. As a concerned citizen, I asked
00:25:47if all minors were... interviewed
00:25:50in the presence of a parent or guardian.
00:25:53I received an answer that they were,
00:25:56those whose parents were available, that is
00:26:00still unclear to me, but of course, this will be
00:26:03determined further in the procedure, I believe. Uh,
00:26:07my second question was
00:26:10uh, to simply explain to me how
00:26:14initially that act was qualified as inappropriate
00:26:18the purpose of
00:26:22exhibitionism, uh, then
00:26:25after about a month or two, uh
00:26:28it was qualified as a certain uh sexual uh
00:26:32harassment, uh.
00:26:35The prosecutor said that it is simply part of the process
00:26:39and that this qualification followed
00:26:42as a logical sequence of events and
00:26:45that it was not a consequence of public
00:26:49and media pressure that that case is now
00:26:53in the prosecutor's office
00:26:56and the criminal court for
00:26:59minors. My third and most important
00:27:02question was
00:27:05we have information that
00:27:08there is a video
00:27:12recording of that event that
00:27:15was uh filmed by a minor participant in the
00:27:19event, and I asked if that recording
00:27:22was expertly examined. I received an answer, I will read it uh, that
00:27:25the uh, in relation to the recordings
00:27:29of the minor who made the recordings with a phone, it was
00:27:32confirmed that the phone was seized with an order
00:27:35and sent for expert examination to the National Center for Criminal
00:27:39Forensics in Belgrade, which returned the same phone with
00:27:42a report that the recording was permanently deleted. That
00:27:46is what the prosecutor told you, you have an official record,
00:27:50do you know why the recording, let me just
00:27:52clarify what kind of recording it is, do you know why that
00:27:56recording was deleted? Here, that will remain a
00:27:59question, so we uh.
00:28:02We know that it happened at school, so
00:28:06sexual abuse, that two other boys were involved
00:28:09and that the fourth boy was
00:28:13filming it. That recording existed, and
00:28:16now uh we find out that
00:28:19the National Center for Criminal Forensics, which
00:28:23had the phone on which the recording was,
00:28:27said that it was permanently deleted. I now ask whether
00:28:30a minor child is able to permanently
00:28:34delete a recording from a phone, and if so,
00:28:38it was deleted in Belgrade,
00:28:42I don't know, no, it was submitted to them and they stated that it was deleted from the phone.
00:28:45Who, at what moment, and most importantly,
00:28:49why deleted that recording? That
00:28:52remains a question that
00:28:55the competent institutions uh will have to answer,
00:28:58given that apart from my well-intentioned
00:29:02proposal for a meeting to establish
00:29:05the facts, uh, groups of citizens, uh
00:29:08and uh
00:29:11then uh the competent authorities will
00:29:15submit formal requests,
00:29:18associations will submit formal requests
00:29:22uh to the internal control sectors, prosecutor's office,
00:29:25police, center for social work, uh,
00:29:29also to the competent inspectorates within the ministry.
00:29:33Uh, health and uh the Ministry of Education to
00:29:37establish the facts and to review
00:29:40the actions of everyone in that chain, i.e.,
00:29:43the prosecutor's office, police, center for social
00:29:46work, schools, and finally, hospitals. What
00:29:49is de facto when we talk about this case is that there was
00:29:53a cover-up, the public learned about it very late,
00:29:56I believe you had the opportunity to talk to people in
00:30:00Mrčajevci, who did you talk to?
00:30:02But what is your impression, are people even afraid to talk about
00:30:05it? Well, people are no longer afraid, I mean, I don't
00:30:09know, I wish there hadn't been a cover-up, I wish the institutions
00:30:12and those acting within those
00:30:15institutions had done their job, and we wouldn't even be discussing
00:30:19this now. Parents who are concerned and who are
00:30:23signatories of a large number
00:30:26of petitions, uh, as well as the parents
00:30:30of the abused boy whom I... saw both in
00:30:33Mrčajevci, they really
00:30:36appealed to the wider public to get involved,
00:30:39given that that case
00:30:42was not taken seriously. Every
00:30:45case of this nature, I mean,
00:30:49is urgent and really does not tolerate any
00:30:52relativization, let alone cover-ups. In that regard,
00:30:56I would really like to take this opportunity to tell everyone...
