00:00:00the Jewish state, which means that there are large numbers of wounded
00:00:03and injured people who will wait for more
00:00:05play a fundamental role in this days and a rescheduling to add names
00:00:09of transfers, we of course contribute to this teachers and administrators from of those who were not allowed to travel today or tomorrow
00:00:12to add them
00:00:14Therefore, the sensitivity of this to the treatment schedules abroad
00:00:17but this for this checkpoint to ensure in light of the increasing number of registered people for overseas treatment
00:00:21and attempts to get a chance for treatment abroad to
00:00:24more than 23,000
00:00:27patients until this moment. Today, the operations to recover the bodies of martyrs
00:00:31Therefore, this
00:00:32We got used to from under the rubble, those who died
00:00:33depriving more than 1,000 students in more than a year or two ago in this aggression in the eastern
00:00:37their right to education today. areas continued under the supervision
00:00:41of the Egyptian committee, municipalities, and civil defense. The process of recovering
00:00:46here, I mean, from have been deprived for more than two weeks the bodies of the martyrs and then burying them and burying their remains in
00:00:50many cases that need this graves continues. As for the new academic year,
00:00:53there are several complaints from citizens and
00:00:57have now approached displaced people
00:00:59are imposed on students, preventing them from regarding the education file, whether in the
00:01:02and obtaining their basic right row. We are talking about schedule or in the nature of the schools and tents that
00:01:06are receiving these students for in-person registration. It seems that there is a big
00:01:10problem that lies in the fact that the sector is not prepared
00:01:14about Khirbet al-Marajim, located in to receive a new academic year,
00:01:15teams from whether due to the emptiness of some schools affiliated
00:01:18with the agency or government schools
00:01:21especially due to for integrating students into in-person education, or due to the poor performance and shortcomings
00:01:25of relief organizations in providing
00:01:28students with clothes and shoes to go
00:01:31to these schools and then with stationery.
00:01:36a lot Thank you very much, Safaa, for all these details and clarifications.
00:01:39to be admitted to You were with us from Deir al-Balah. From there, we move to Jericho
00:01:42with Watan Plus. Watan, welcome with us.
00:01:45We have, of course, an outpatient
00:01:46being delivered at this moment to a number We are talking with you about the continuation of the occupation's attacks. The latest was
00:01:49the closure of all checkpoints in the city for three
00:01:53continuous hours. What is
00:01:55applied in the scene like and what are the latest field developments
00:01:58in many cases, they cannot you have?
00:02:00and the policy of collective punishment Yes, Diana, welcome.
00:02:03First, I will talk about the policy
00:02:06in the area of collective punishment imposed by the occupation
00:02:08My street. on Jericho governorate
00:02:10he feels for the patient. The and the Jordan Valley through the procedures and restrictions it imposes.
00:02:13are working on This morning, the occupation forces closed all entrances
00:02:16and exits of Jericho city from
00:02:20where the patient is complaining from, staff working within this 6:00 AM until 9:00 AM, meaning three hours of
00:02:22closure of all entrances and exits of Jericho
00:02:26governorate. Even the secondary roads were
00:02:29closed. Settlers were present
00:02:32a drug-eluting and attacked citizens and turned them back to prevent them from
00:02:35reaching. When the occupation forces
00:02:37an ideal doctor who understands what this patient is complaining about.
00:02:38due to the work pressure in the close the entrances and exits of Jericho city, they completely prevent
00:02:45have from which they launch their attacks on entry and exit from the governorate, which causes great suffering for citizens,
00:02:51attention. Other things, many urinary tract but especially since we are talking about Jericho city and its unique characteristics, as it has the Karameh crossing, and citizens
00:02:55travel through it. Therefore, when these closures occur,
00:02:58there is a buildup of citizens and great difficulty in
00:03:01respirators in this
00:03:01Hasten to prayer. movement. In addition, there are settler attacks on
00:03:06As for the radiology department, it provides many the roads. The occupation forces later
00:03:10Everyone in this hospital, in this a series of opened the checkpoints, but these checkpoints are affected at any moment. The occupation forces
00:03:14can open and close the checkpoints. This naturally
00:03:17causes great suffering,
00:03:21any soldier in contain a small especially since all entrances
00:03:21Hasten to and exits of Jericho today are surrounded by military gates,
00:03:24which, if the occupation
00:03:26unavailability of such closes them, the governorate is isolated from
00:03:28shortcomings in the rest of the country's governorates. This is regarding the checkpoint situation.
00:03:32As I said, the roads are now open in Jericho city, but they
00:03:35change at any moment. As for the continuous
00:03:40that this doctor of the devices quickly and accurately in settler attacks in the Palestinian
00:03:41or this Jordan Valley, today
00:03:42Hasten to salvation. Salvation. I am specifically talking about Al-Jiftlik village
00:03:45disaster that leads to and the Bedouin communities located in Al-Jiftlik village, especially the Abu al-Ajaj community. This community
00:03:49suffers from increasing settler attacks on
00:03:52the residents. A few days ago,
00:03:54suffer from the occupation forces
00:03:55the scope of work in demolished the only mosque in this community, in addition
00:03:59to demolishing five houses in the community
00:04:03burden of with the presence of settlers. Today, this community is threatened
00:04:06with removal and demolition after more than 45
00:04:10families were notified to evacuate their homes
00:04:13power, many for settlement expansion in this area. We mention that this community, the families living in it, have been living
00:04:18They were intense in there for decades. Today, it is surrounded by Israeli
00:04:21settlements from all directions. Not only this community, but also the
00:04:25of many, many Khirbet al-Fawla community in the Al-Jiftlik area and in Al-Jiftlik village is
00:04:28also continuously subjected to settler attacks. Two days ago,
00:04:32Whether it is emergency cases in settlers injured citizens and destroyed two vehicles, and also
00:04:35verbally notified the residents
00:04:40and suffered what this and tightening the noose on them, of this community and this khirba attacks on to evacuate their homes. I would also like to talk
00:04:43but in these at the end about the Al-Khayzaran Festival that Jericho
00:04:46and the Jordan Valley governorate will host this year on the lands of the Arab construction project.
00:04:49At this very moment, the
00:04:52agreement for this project will be signed
00:04:56for its establishment in Jericho city. This very important project
00:05:00aims to showcase Palestinian handicrafts, industries,
00:05:03and culture. It will be inaugurated two months from
00:05:07with it carefully, I mean, with
00:05:07Diana, the occupation today in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, and it is expected to enhance
00:05:10the city's economy and encourage Mr.
00:05:14Yes, thank you very much, Watan, for all these details
00:05:18and clarifications. You were with us from Jericho.
00:05:20We welcome the joining of Bayan Diab from Tulkarm
00:05:23and May Al-Masri from Tubas. I will go to Tulkarm with Bayan
00:05:27and the latest field developments
00:05:30you have, Bayan. In conjunction with the continued aggression
00:05:34of the occupation on the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps,
00:05:38what are the details
00:05:38you have?
00:05:45Dear viewers, the occupation escalates its aggression on the Tulkarm
00:05:48and Nur Shams camps during
00:05:51provocative practices by raising Israeli
00:05:55flags this morning at the entrance to the Tulkarm camp,
00:05:58specifically the northern entrance to the camp
00:06:01adjacent to the Nablus street, which was almost
00:06:04completely destroyed after the continuous
00:06:07occupation operation on Tulkarm city and its camp for the
00:06:11second day in a
00:06:14provocative practices affecting various segments
00:06:17of society, including displaced people who have lost their homes.
00:06:21Recently, the occupation also raised Israeli flags on
00:06:25the mosques of the Nur Shams camp, in a move
00:06:28that provokes the religious feelings of citizens, specifically
00:06:32in Tulkarm city. In addition to that, at this moment,
00:06:36there is a massive invasion campaign
00:06:39in the town of Bal'a, to the east of Tulkarm
00:06:43governorate, within the continuous invasion and arrest campaigns. Also, there
00:06:46is an occupation presence of occupation soldiers in the area
00:06:50where we are currently standing, which is the Kaddura suburb
00:06:53facing and opposite the Nur Shams camp. There are notifications
00:06:58of facilities and homes under various pretexts. The occupation
00:07:01recently follows notifications and delivers them
00:07:05to the owners of a number of facilities and agricultural lands on the pretext
00:07:09that they are archaeological areas. We do not know the extent of the validity
00:07:12of these claims, but the occupation, within its campaigns
00:07:16of notifications that it delivers in the north of the governorate or
00:07:19its east, seeks to seize land from its owners within a comprehensive
00:07:22policy with the settlers who
00:07:26spreading and expanding into the lands in the form
00:07:29of pastoral settlement. Also, the establishment of pastoral outposts
00:07:32prevents farmers from reaching their lands for the
00:07:35third consecutive year. We are talking about the plain
00:07:39of Ramin, which is full and crowded with livestock wealth.
00:07:41Its owners are deprived of it for the third consecutive year.
00:07:45Also, this morning, there were campaigns,
00:07:48the last evacuation campaign of the Hakourna farm, located
00:07:52to the west of Tulkarm city, along the separation
00:07:55and apartheid wall, behind the death factories and the
00:07:58poison factories, the Jishuri occupation factories that spread
00:08:02poisons and are considered a real environmental disaster
00:08:05looming over the lands of Tulkarm governorate from the western side
00:08:08and kill plant and animal wealth. They spread poisons.
00:08:13There are many cases of lung and respiratory diseases
00:08:16around these factories, within
00:08:21measures and systematic collective punishment practiced by
00:08:24the occupation. We are talking about this farm, which is more than 40
00:08:27years old. The occupation delivered a demolition notice and gave its owners a period
00:08:31of 48 hours several days ago to demolish it.
00:08:35This deadline
00:08:37began today for a period of 48 hours. There was
00:08:41an appeal from various segments of society to assist them
00:08:45in dismantling the contents of the farm, which contains
00:08:48the source of their livelihood. It supports their families
00:08:51and the families of their children. It employs thousands of workers, in
00:08:55addition to the real
00:08:58heavy losses for the owners of that farm.
00:09:01Specifically, this scene has become common in Tulkarm governorate.
00:09:05The notifications that are delivered, the arrest operations
00:09:08also in harsh conditions, and the continuous invasion
00:09:11campaigns as part of the systematic collective punishment. Thank you
00:09:14very much, Bayan, for all these details
00:09:18and clarifications. You were with us from Tulkarm, and from there we go to Nablus
00:09:22with Muhammad Al-Khatib. Muhammad, welcome with us in this window.
00:09:25We are talking about the continuation of attacks.
00:09:30Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya and injured
00:09:33two citizens after they were attacked by settlers. What is the scene
00:09:37like now and what are the latest
00:09:40developments you have?
00:09:44Yes, greetings to you and to the dear viewers. Here in
00:09:48Nablus governorate, the pace of settler attacks is increasing
00:09:51day after day and at a very high pace. Every village and town
00:09:55in Nablus governorate or Bedouin community witnesses attacks by
00:09:58extremist militias that open fire and besiege Palestinian
00:10:02population centers or some
00:10:05ruins as part of
00:10:08a policy of intimidation and forcing citizens to leave forcibly. At dawn
00:10:12today, a wide-ranging attack was carried out
00:10:15by settlers in the area located between the village of Al-Lubban
00:10:19Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus city, and Salfit city,
00:10:22specifically in the Wadi Al-Sha'er area, when a group of
00:10:26settlers attacked the residents who were present in the area. They stabbed
00:10:29one of the citizens in his thigh, and another citizen
00:10:33was beaten with a stone by
00:10:36these settlers, in addition to destroying the contents
00:10:39of some houses in the area, and
00:10:42also a vehicle. They wreaked havoc and destruction, and they
00:10:46came from a settlement outpost established recently in the area.
00:10:49They carry out campaigns
00:10:52that affect Palestinian citizens, their land, and their
00:10:55belongings at a time when the occupation army stands at an equal distance from
00:10:58these extremist militias and provides them with full
00:11:02protection to attack our people and implement the organized
00:11:05state terrorism policy that has become clear
00:11:08on the ground, sometimes by the occupation army and sometimes
00:11:11by settler militias. The situation is not much different
00:11:15from what happened in Khirbet al-Marajim, located south of Nablus city.
00:11:18We are talking about the Muslim family that inhabits this khirba, which is subjected
00:11:22daily to attacks and harassment by
00:11:25settler militias, either by opening fire or even
00:11:29by the presence of these extremists at the entrances of houses
00:11:33and attempting to burn these houses with their contents to force them
00:11:36to forcibly leave this area. We are talking
00:11:39the southern region of Nablus governorate, and specifically belonging
00:11:43to the lands of the village of Tilfit.
00:11:47Also Duma, which is located on more than
00:11:5018,000 dunams of citizens' lands in the area that
00:11:54settler militias and the Israeli occupation forces are trying to control
00:11:58as part of a continuous effort by the occupation government to control the eastern slopes
00:12:01of the central and northern Jordan Valley in order to complete the annexation
00:12:05plan and establish more settlement outposts in the area. A community
00:12:08inhabited by no more than 30 citizens, surrounded
00:12:11by five settlement outposts, in addition to the Gittit settlement
00:12:15that occupies citizens' lands and extends to Jericho governorate
00:12:18and the central Jordan Valley. All of this comes within the framework of the restrictions
00:12:22imposed by the occupation army
00:12:25at military checkpoints and checkpoints spread around Nablus
00:12:28governorate and the city in particular. Also, what the occupation
00:12:32carries out in terms of raids and inspections that affect several areas here in
00:12:36Nablus city and the governorate in general. However, I will talk about a very
00:12:40important point, which is that settler militias have recently
00:12:42targeted remote Palestinian population centers,
00:12:46as I mentioned about Khirbet al-Marajim or even the
00:12:49archaeological area of Al-Mas'udiya, located to the northwest of Nablus city and belonging
00:12:52to the lands of the village of Burqa.
00:12:55These settler militias cut power lines
00:12:59to these families living in the Al-Mas'udiya area
00:13:02to force them to leave forcibly, especially since they have established a settlement outpost
00:13:07citizens. More than one case of assault has been recorded
00:13:10in this area, in conjunction with their actions of
00:13:13cutting power lines and attempting to impose
00:13:17a reality based on the force of arms in these areas, especially
00:13:21considering that we are talking about armed extremists.
00:13:25When the residents confront them, the occupation army
00:13:29immediately intervenes and fires tear gas and stun grenades as part of
00:13:33a clear policy of role-playing on the ground. The occupation army used to, at times,
00:13:36prevent these extremist militias, but today it is
00:13:40a key partner with them in these attacks, especially when residents
00:13:44come out to confront these extremist gangs. The occupation
00:13:47immediately arrives at the area and declares it a closed
00:13:50military zone and carries out attacks and fires
00:13:54shots in targeting the Palestinian citizen,
00:13:57their property, and their life, which the occupation is trying to eliminate,
00:14:01and the Palestinian identity that is today more targeted than ever
00:14:04through the occupation's actions of besieging population
00:14:08centers. The roads connecting villages and towns are today
00:14:11full of the occupation army and settlers, and
00:14:15even with regard to the establishment of settlement outposts and the expansion
00:14:18of existing settlements, their pace is increasing, especially with the approaching
00:14:21Israeli Knesset elections. All of that
00:14:24comes at the expense of Palestinian blood and Palestinian existence
00:14:27through the procedures implemented on the ground, even to the extent that extremist thugs
00:14:31place electoral propaganda at road junctions and call
00:14:35for the killing of Palestinian citizens. Today, these extremist electoral
00:14:38lists are approved at the expense of the existence of our people here
00:14:42in Nablus governorate and the rest of the country's governorates. Thank
00:14:45you very much, Muhammad, for all these details and clarifications.
00:14:48You spoke to us directly from Nablus, and from there we go to Tubas with May Al-Masri.
00:14:52May, welcome with us in this window. We are talking with you
00:14:56about the continuation of the occupation's
00:14:58citizens
00:15:02especially in the northern Jordan Valley. What is the scene like and what
00:15:05are the latest
00:15:06developments you have?
00:15:11Yes, my greetings to you, Diana, and to all our dear viewers. Indeed,
00:15:14the occupation continues to impose racist policies and practices
00:15:17that aim to tighten the noose on our people to force them to leave
00:15:21their lands. Therefore, these restrictions or
00:15:25these measures are imposed in all aspects of
00:15:29life. This morning,
00:15:32forces tightened military procedures at
00:15:36the Tayasir military checkpoint
00:15:39and other Jordan Valley entrances, which led to preventing
00:15:42more than 100 male and female
00:15:46reaching their schools in the northern Jordan Valley areas. These
00:15:50educational staff members leave at 6:00 AM
00:15:54they reach schools, but they remained for long
00:15:57hours due to the closure of the checkpoint and the tightening
00:16:01of military procedures there, which prevented them from reaching
00:16:04schools in the area or in all areas of the Jordan Valley.
00:16:08This also led to
00:16:11the northern Jordan Valley from receiving
00:16:15In the same context, Diana, students from the
00:16:18Al-Ras Al-Ahmar area
00:16:22from reaching their school in eastern Atouf due to
00:16:26the trench that the occupation forces recently dug, which
00:16:29divided the area into two parts in Atouf village and Al-Ras
00:16:33Al-Ahmar. Consequently, difficult conditions
00:16:36reaching their schools
00:16:40to education. In the same context, when I talk about
00:16:43the Al-Ras Al-Ahmar area, I must mention the suffering of
00:16:46families in that area due to the digging of this trench,
00:16:49which, as I said, divides the area into two parts. They have been
00:16:53suffering for more than 20 days from water outages,
00:16:58the continuous cutting of water lines by
00:17:02settler gangs. Consequently,
00:17:05they suffer from a water
00:17:08war in that area, especially since we are talking about Atouf and Al-Ras
00:17:12Al-Ahmar, which is primarily an agricultural area. Therefore, the absence of water in
00:17:16that area means the absence of agriculture, whether
00:17:19due to this trench that the occupation forces dug or due to
00:17:23the continuous cutting of water lines, as I said, by settler
00:17:26gangs, which forces,
00:17:29in this case, families to transport
00:17:32water by animals, and
00:17:35deliver it to that area due to
00:17:39the long distances that these trenches separate
00:17:44from each other. Also, in the same context
00:17:47and in the continuous violations by the occupation against families in all villages
00:17:51and communities of the northern Jordan Valley, in all of
00:17:54Ain al-Hilweh, Al-Hamma, and Al-Deir,
00:17:57the occupation forces are tightening the noose on families
00:18:01through continuous raids on tents, imposing
00:18:04racist measures on citizens, and threatening them with displacement
00:18:08from those areas, in addition to the settlers who are given
00:18:11the green light to carry out violations against families and who
00:18:15also carry out these raids
00:18:18on citizens' tents, assaulting them by beating them and assaulting
00:18:21their property, either by theft or by destruction and vandalism
00:18:25and cutting water lines, which confirms that it happens in all villages
00:18:29and communities of the northern Jordan Valley. In another threat
00:18:32to the livelihoods of families in the northern Jordan Valley,
00:18:35the occupation several days ago
00:18:39confiscated, or rather, issued
00:18:43notices to vegetable stalls from which many
00:18:46families in the northern Jordan Valley live. These stalls,
00:18:49which are set up along what is known as the settler
00:18:53Road 90 in all areas of the Jordan Valley and the northern Jordan Valley,
00:18:58number of these stalls, from which, as
00:19:01I said, many families live. So, targeting them means
00:19:04fighting the Palestinian citizen in that area
00:19:07by their livelihood, in addition to fighting them with water
00:19:11and fighting them with security and safety through continuous raids
00:19:14and attacks on citizens, whether by the occupation or by
00:19:18settler gangs. This is the overall picture,
00:19:21Diana, from the Jordan Valley. Back to you. Yes, thank
00:19:24you very much, May Al-Masri, from Tubas,
00:19:28for all these details. And here, dear viewers, this is the end of
00:19:32our correspondents in the field. My greetings and the greetings of the production team, and until
00:19:35next time.
00:20:48I left the house or something.
00:21:06I mean, if we want to fix the cement, it's broken, torn, frayed, there's no
00:21:09room for anything. What can we do,
00:21:11Lord?
00:21:36Total destruction. No house. Every three
00:21:39or four houses on top of each other, and we don't even know where our house is. We
00:21:42found it, but we don't know. Our three neighbors are all on top of us, and we are on top of our neighbors. There
00:21:46is no house. My house is underneath and completely invisible. Our house.
00:21:50We don't know where our house is, and we don't know. It's all sand.
00:21:53Just rubble, my uncle.
00:22:23The street was, before the war, one of the most beautiful
00:22:26streets in the Gaza Strip. This was our street 60
00:22:30years ago. It was only built during
00:22:33the time of the Egyptians. One side, which is asphalt.
00:22:36We used to sit here, we used to enjoy ourselves here, we used
00:22:40to play here. Jalaa Street has shops,
00:22:43wedding halls, and malls. Jalaa
00:22:46Street, they used to boast about it. This is my area, this is my life.
00:22:50This is my age, this is my homeland.
00:22:58From smartphones and smart cities to robots
00:23:02and virtual reality, new technologies
00:23:05are reshaping our lives every
00:23:07day.
00:23:11In a digital dimension, we discover the latest in the world of
00:23:14technology, and we ask how
00:23:17these technologies will change our lives, and what awaits us
00:23:21tomorrow?
00:23:24In a digital dimension, we discover the future before
00:23:28it arrives.
00:23:37On the paths of the country, between the fields and on the paths of the villages, we
00:23:41will walk with the stories of the people, the stories that still
00:23:44reside in the memory of the place. We will discover our Palestinian
00:23:48villages, their people, and their how-to.
00:23:50And their customs and traditions. We will get closer to the details
00:23:54of life that shaped the identity of every village, from the stories
00:23:58of the grandparents to the popular heritage, to the food,
00:24:01clothes, and crafts. We will open the doors of the villages
00:24:05and listen to the stories of their people,
00:24:07also in their voices. The paths of the country are not just
00:24:11a journey through space, they are a journey through memory,
00:24:14identity, and the Palestinian story. The paths
00:24:17of the country are the story of a village. A national memory.
00:25:06Entering Nablus is difficult and leaving is difficult, and you are
00:25:09putting pressure on people. A trip that used to take 10 minutes, for example,
00:25:13now takes an hour to complete
00:25:16your errands.
00:25:56In the reception, during the day, I see approximately
00:26:00300 to 250 cases per day. Among
00:26:03the cases we receive are cases of
00:26:07hospital admissions, inpatient cases, and cases that are
00:26:11scheduled for operations.
00:26:14Also, among the cases we see are cases of heart
00:26:18patients, injuries, and people who suffer heart attacks. Especially
00:26:22since we have an emergency department here, and there is a high
00:26:25population density around the hospital.
00:26:27So, we handle cases and perform
00:26:30initial laboratory
00:26:34tests here. If they need
00:26:37any surgical intervention or intervention
00:26:40in cardiac catheterization, we
00:26:43are ready for it within 24 hours.
00:31:40capable of following up on the rest of the necessary matters, God willing. We
00:31:43need a lot of
00:31:47necessary equipment and devices, especially in the reception
00:31:50department, such as the CT
00:31:54machine and CT scans, especially
00:31:56since in the entire Gaza Strip,
00:31:59there is only one device in Al-Ahli Hospital.
00:32:02So, honestly, in light of the injuries and events in the Gaza Strip,
00:32:05unfortunately, we have great difficulty in contacting
00:32:09a department or a hospital other
00:32:13than the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. This is one of the problems
00:32:17we face every day with almost every case, because people
00:32:20are all, by God, stressed and due to
00:32:23the war and the circumstances we live in, people are all
00:32:27suffering from a state of anger
00:32:30and dissatisfaction with the general situation, especially since we here are trying
00:32:34our best to appease the anger of the people and
00:32:36we are trying our best to be
00:32:40the balm for their severe illness
00:32:43and try to give them a satisfactory answer, God willing. Every
00:32:47patient we have who needs treatment
00:32:50is provided with what is necessary in light of the difficult conditions
00:32:54for people. Lack of buildings.
00:32:58People are all living in camps and
00:33:01displacement. Their conditions are unacceptable and
00:33:05unsuitable for living.
00:33:07We try to provide the service they need and more. So, if
00:33:11a patient needs to stay for more than one day,
00:33:14they can stay for two days. We have no problem, especially since we, thank God,
00:33:17have orders not to fall short with any
00:33:20patient.
00:33:30The site we are at today, Sunday morning, from home at 7:00
00:33:33in the morning. I close
00:33:37my phone. My children might call me, but I might not answer
00:33:39them due to the pressure and continuous
00:33:43work, even
00:33:53hospital. We try our best to alleviate people's pain
00:33:57and help them as much as we can, because our people
00:34:00need more than this.
00:34:21services, the most important of which are conventional X-rays, ultrasound,
00:34:25and mammography. Honestly, the department was working with full
00:34:28equipment and devices. We had a CT machine, an MRI machine,
00:34:31X-ray, isolated lithotripsy, mammography,
00:34:35and ultrasound. But unfortunately, after the closure of the crossings, most
00:34:38of the devices stopped working. Currently, we only have X-ray,
00:34:42mammography, and ultrasound. We hope, of course, that the crossings crisis will be resolved and
00:34:45the rest of the equipment will be brought in.
00:34:49that we can provide the rest
00:34:54diagnosis helps treat the problem
00:34:56and save time for the patient and try to intervene quickly for
00:35:00doctors and medical
00:35:01staff.
00:35:07Of course, war conditions are exceptional conditions, whether it is
00:35:10transportation, lack of resources or cars, and
00:35:14so on. We try as much as possible to separate
00:35:17life outside the hospital and the patient's need
00:35:19for us.
00:35:29The laboratory, frankly, is the most
00:35:32important department in the hospital. It performs
00:35:35, meaning the patient from the moment he enters the hospital
00:35:38door, he must enter the laboratory because
00:35:41the doctor, any doctor,
00:35:47the emergency room, blood transfusion
00:35:50cases, outpatient clinics, the patient needs
00:35:53up, especially chronic
00:35:56and elderly patients, delivery
00:35:59cases, the laboratory
00:36:03performs important work in the hospital, and thank God it covers
00:36:06a large part as much as it can. I mean, we get samples,
00:36:10we don't know the patient, we get a stranger, we don't know anything about him, what
00:36:14problems he has. His blood, what's
00:36:17in it, so we have to deal
00:36:22the sample when it comes to us until it leaves us. If the sample
00:36:26is infected or has any problems.
00:36:28We have to dispose of it in ways, I mean, in safety boxes, and then
00:36:32they take it, of course, as you know, to a special incinerator for the hospital. These
00:36:35are the most prominent issues. The pressure, the pressure
00:36:39is very high, and thank God,
00:36:43and the staff is small, as you know, and thank
00:36:46God, and the materials are few. I mean, we try from
00:36:49laboratory to laboratory or from branches
00:36:52of the hospital.
00:36:59this pressure before the war, but during the war, the
00:37:03pressure increased, and as you can see, the hospital started
00:37:06receiving large quantities. I mean, we actually leave
00:37:10the workplace
00:37:138:30 until you leave,
00:37:16you just leave work, I mean,
00:37:19you try, it's pressure on you and effort, but I mean,
00:37:22you're forced to, so thank God, God
00:37:24helps.
00:37:58In the nursery department at
00:38:02Al-Quds Hospital, premature cases that need
00:38:06the intensive care unit
00:38:10for premature babies are accepted. Children who
00:38:13need to be admitted to this department are a category of
00:38:17children who suffer from respiratory diseases in premature
00:38:20babies and diseases and incomplete
00:38:23development in these children.
00:38:27This department receives approximately 40 to 50 cases
00:38:31monthly. This department is located
00:38:34next to
00:38:36the maternity department at Al-Quds Hospital. Children who
00:38:40need to be admitted to this department are
00:38:43coordinated with doctors or medical
00:38:47hospital. The direct reasons for the birth
00:38:50of an underdeveloped child are numerous.
00:38:54The first thing is children
00:38:57who are born
00:39:00to mothers who have gestational
00:39:03diabetes or irregular diabetes. This
00:39:07is number one. Number two, sometimes
00:39:09women
00:39:15infections and did not pay
00:39:18children are born with congenital defects during
00:39:22pregnancy. Frankly, there is a severe shortage of
00:39:25artificial
00:39:28department. We have two
00:39:31artificial respirators
00:39:35for children who need them. We have
00:39:38incubators here, and there is a severe shortage
00:39:41of incubators
00:39:44in the nurseries. And at some
00:39:48moments, doctors lose the lives
00:39:51of children due to the
00:39:53incubators. Of course, the child who needs, who has
00:39:57respiratory problems or respiratory diseases in premature
00:40:01babies, is dealt with and admitted to
00:40:04the nursery department. I mean, one of the most difficult cases that
00:40:08we received in the
00:40:11nursery department are
00:40:14newborns who suffer from congenital
00:40:17defects
00:40:20during pregnancy. Children who
00:40:22respiratory
00:40:25diseases,
00:40:30and almost, or diseases who have heart problems from the congenital defects
00:40:34in the heart, since these children need an artificial respirator
00:40:37that runs on electrical
00:40:40times the
00:40:44electricity is cut off due to the unavailability of solar power to operate
00:40:48these devices, which leads to the death
00:40:52of these children or
00:40:54newborns.
00:41:00A human being is a human being like any human being in the Gaza Strip who was subjected
00:41:04to forced displacement more than once
00:41:08people suffered from hunger,
00:41:11circumstances, the doctor remained by his patient's
00:41:14side, providing him with the medical service
00:41:16he needs.
00:41:26The catheterization department is an essential department, considered
00:41:29a lifeline
00:41:32for heart patients who suffer from coronary artery diseases,
00:41:36such as heart
00:41:38attacks, angina pectoris, and all heart diseases that
00:41:42require diagnostic catheterization to explore the coronary
00:41:45artery or for pacemakers
00:41:49for the heart.
00:41:54department
00:41:57depends on the nature of medical intervention
00:42:00by implanting drug-eluting stents
00:42:03to save cases of acute heart attacks
00:42:07that require immediate intervention.
00:42:11department is one of the most important departments in the Gaza
00:42:15Strip, because since the beginning
00:42:17of the war, this department has been greatly affected,
00:42:21but the Red Crescent Society has mobilized
00:42:24all resources to rehabilitate the department to work
00:42:28again, thank God. The nature
00:42:31of the work was organized.
00:42:34Most heart patients from all
00:42:37hospitals in the Gaza Strip were received because it was
00:42:41the only center operating in the Gaza Strip, despite
00:42:44the damage that was in the department,
00:42:48but it was rehabilitated by
00:42:51the Red Crescent Society and maintenance
00:42:55medical devices, biomedical
00:42:59engineers, and company engineers
00:43:03who mobilized all resources to rehabilitate
00:43:06this device. Of course, this device, when I say
00:43:10a single catheterization device operating in the Gaza
00:43:12Strip, serves all heart
00:43:16patients in all hospitals. The catheterization department receives
00:43:19the patient. I am a complete link between the reception
00:43:23and emergency department
00:43:26and the inpatient department. The patient is received from
00:43:29hospitals to the reception and emergency department.
00:43:32There is a protocol
00:43:35the hospital. The patient is prepared
00:43:39with all necessary analyses.
00:43:43The patient's medical history is taken
00:43:46into consideration. Therefore,
00:43:49from the patient's arrival at the reception and emergency
00:43:53department to the inpatient department, preparation and
00:43:56planning for the operation are done according to the recognized
00:43:59protocol. Then the patient enters the cardiac catheterization department, and
00:44:03a diagnostic catheterization is performed.
00:44:07If the patient needs any intervention regarding
00:44:12stent, it is immediately implanted. There are major
00:44:15challenges regarding the department. The
00:44:18catheterization department suffers from major
00:44:22shortages. Some
00:44:23stents have been provided,
00:44:28does not depend only on the drug-eluting stent or the balloon.
00:44:31Some tools are considered an obstacle. There
00:44:35are efforts from the management of the association to overcome
00:44:38these challenges. And to deliver a message
00:44:42about the shortcomings
00:44:43that exist.
00:44:50Medical teams in general, between the doctor, the nurse,
00:44:53and the catheterization technician, the radiology technician,
00:44:57between the administrator, between
00:45:01white in Al-Quds Hospital
00:45:05or in hospitals in the Gaza
00:45:06Strip, deals with
00:45:10patients as if he is free of
00:45:13problems. Therefore, because there is a noble
00:45:16message, a message of humanity,
00:45:21nurse must convey, despite the problems and despite the psychological
00:45:25pressure he is going through, despite the difficulties of life, but
00:45:28this garment of suffering, this
00:45:32garment of suffering, must be outside
00:45:35the hospital. Therefore,
00:45:39medical teams bear a great
00:45:43psychological and negative pressures, but
00:45:46this does not affect the provision of its services with
00:45:50high quality and to convey its humanitarian
00:45:53message with kind and noble
00:45:56words so that the patient
00:46:00receives his right to treatment, and God willing, we are
00:46:03continuing to deliver this message to humanity, God
00:46:06willing.
00:46:11Al-Quds Hospital, as you know, in the past, was one of
00:46:14the distinguished hospitals before the war, before October 7th.
00:46:18It had all specialties, but unfortunately,
00:46:21after the forced displacement by
00:46:24the occupation army,
00:46:28the hospital, of course, for a certain period of time, was
00:46:31out of service. And
00:46:34upon our return to the Gaza Strip, to resume work at Al-Quds Hospital, we started
00:46:38gradually working and equipping
00:46:41departments. Of course, with the efforts of all teams,
00:46:44with the efforts of teams at the engineering level, the administrative level,
00:46:48and the medical level, we started equipping the hospital department
00:46:51by department. We started with the emergency department, and now
00:46:55we, thank God, have largely
00:46:58completed
00:47:01equipping all hospital departments.
00:47:04Al-Quds Hospital, in particular, has 125
00:47:07beds.
00:47:09It is distinguished by all departments. It has an emergency department and it has
00:47:13an obstetrics and gynecology department, and an inpatient department one and an inpatient
00:47:17department two. The operating room department has five operating
00:47:20rooms. Among these operating rooms, it has
00:47:23a special operating room for cardiac
00:47:27surgery. And in the past, we, of course, performed several cases with a
00:47:30delegation in cardiac surgery a short time ago,
00:47:33and we are still striving
00:47:37to enhance this service because, of course, there are
00:47:42specialty. We are distinguished in this hospital by the cardiac
00:47:46catheterization department. We
00:47:49a thousand cases and approximately 200.
00:47:53Since a year since the resumption of work in the cardiac catheterization
00:47:56department. Of course, the cardiac catheterization department is considered one of the sensitive
00:48:00departments
00:48:02in all specialties. Of course, this is considered saving the lives of patients
00:48:06in the Gaza Strip. The hospital departments
00:48:10contain, of course, the nursery department which contains seven
00:48:13beds at the present time, and we are working to develop these
00:48:17departments. The
00:48:20pediatrics department
00:48:23contains 17
00:48:26beds. In general, Al-Quds Hospital, thank God,
00:48:29is now able to provide all medical
00:48:32services, whether surgical or non-surgical.
00:48:38clinic department in the hospital. The outpatient clinic department contains all specialties
00:48:41in Al-Quds Hospital. We perform complex surgeries such as chest
00:48:45surgeries, vascular surgeries. So, thank God,
00:48:48we can now say we have returned to what we were.
00:48:53By performing all surgeries in Al-Quds Hospital. Of course, among
00:48:57the services provided by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, besides hospitals, we
00:49:00provide primary care services, and this
00:49:04is, of course, in all areas of Gaza.
00:49:07We provide these services for chronic
00:49:11diseases, for general diseases, by providing
00:49:14some treatments, and we, of course, as you know, provide
00:49:18a full free service
00:49:20for all patients in all specialties, in all
00:49:24operations, in all necessary procedures for all
00:49:27our patients in the Gaza Strip, despite these circumstances that we, of course, despite these
00:49:31achievements that we mentioned, of course, these achievements were not
00:49:34easy, and that is because the main reason
00:49:38is the challenges and difficult circumstances that we experienced at this time: lack
00:49:42of equipment, lack of devices,
00:49:45lack of supplies, lack of treatments,
00:49:48but with determination and will, we were able
00:49:52to communicate with institutions and other institutions.
00:49:56We were able to achieve and we were able to provide some
00:49:59devices and some equipment.
00:50:03team, at the administrative level, at the upper
00:50:06administrative level of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, all of us
00:50:10contributed to providing these services to provide some
00:50:14devices, and we are still, of course, suffering from some challenges, and we are still
00:50:17facing some
00:50:21the hospital. For example,
00:50:24in the cardiac catheterization department, as I mentioned earlier, this is a sensitive
00:50:28department. Now we have
00:50:31on the waiting list for some patients, approximately
00:50:34350 patients waiting for these cases to be performed,
00:50:38and this, but the accumulation of these cases, the main reason was
00:50:41the shortage due to the lack of stents and the
00:50:45lack of some supplies specific to cardiac catheterization. Thank God,
00:50:48we have provided some of these stents, and we have now resumed work,
00:50:52expanding by increasing the number of cases performed
00:50:56daily in the catheterization department so that we can
00:50:59reduce this number and provide more
00:51:03and more service to our people. But honestly, we are still
00:51:06suffering from these shortcomings in all the supplies
00:51:09available in our hospitals.
00:51:11That
00:51:13did not reduce the determination and ability
00:51:16to achieve success and provide the necessary
00:51:19service to our people in the Gaza Strip. Hospital capacity: We
00:51:23accommodate, on a daily basis, many
00:51:26cases. For example, in the outpatient
00:51:30clinics, we receive approximately 350 to 400 cases
00:51:33daily. The emergency department receives approximately
00:51:37200 cases daily. This is specifically
00:51:41at Al-Quds Hospital. If
00:51:44we talk about all hospitals, the number would certainly be
00:51:47much higher because, as I
00:51:50mentioned earlier, we have six hospitals across Gaza
00:51:53and the Strip. Therefore, we are in great
00:51:56need, and we need more and more to continue providing
00:52:00this service to our people in the Strip. Regarding
00:52:04transfers, of course, we contribute to this matter.
00:52:07Our ambulances
00:52:10matter, but the basis
00:52:14matter, but the basis of transfers is through the World Health Organization, of course,
00:52:18the Ministry of Health. We contribute a part,
00:52:22matter, according to the information and news I hear,
00:52:26this, of course, was not enough to facilitate these tasks
00:52:29for the large number of injuries in the Gaza Strip. So we
00:52:32need more to leave Gaza. I mean, a message
00:52:36to the world inside and outside: We are still suffering, the situation
00:52:40is still difficult in the Gaza Strip. The health sector in general in Gaza needs
00:52:44more and more. It needs supplies, it needs
00:52:47devices, it needs a special health sector. We
00:52:51are doing what we can at the present time to provide this
00:52:54service, but we are still in need of
00:52:57what is lacking, we are still suffering from challenges, we are still suffering from
00:53:01difficulties in providing the necessary service in the Strip.
00:53:05A message to the families of the patients, as they know
00:53:09and as they hear and as they follow the news and on social
00:53:12media, we
00:53:15all suffer. We provide you with the service as
00:53:19much as we can. We will not spare time
