00:01:22Iran slams the International Atomic Energy Agency in
00:01:25Austria for denying a visa to the head of Iran's
00:01:29atomic energy organization, saying the move has no legal
00:01:33basis.
00:01:37is absolutely astonishing and indeed ironic that Austria, in
00:01:41order to justify its wrongful act
00:01:45legislation of invokes resolutions that have been duly and legally
00:01:48terminated and or a
00:01:51non-existent committee of the UN Security Council.
00:01:55Resolution 2231 expired
00:01:58on 18 October, 2025, and
00:02:01accordingly, all the UN
00:02:04there's no pressure put on it by any of restrictions against the Islamic Republic of Iran were permanently
00:02:06terminated. It is not merely an Iranian position, it
00:02:10is also the firm legal position of two permanent
00:02:14members of the Security Council as well as the
00:02:17countries of the non-aligned movement. The occasional
00:02:20move in New York in the name of the so-called
00:02:23do not have proper understanding of committee are ultra vires and constitute
00:02:27slowly but surely, many of a blatant abuse of the Security Council's procedures and
00:02:30by certain of its Western members. Such a
00:02:33committee has not been officially established, nor
00:02:37has a single meeting of it been held since
00:02:412015. The sound legal arguments
00:02:45constitute a gross and indeed deliberate distortion of the
00:02:48letter and spirit of the headquarters
00:02:51agreement.
00:02:56Iran's ambassador to the international organizations in
00:02:59Vienna made his remarks at the opening of
00:03:03the 70th IAEA General
00:03:06Conference. The US representative admitted that
00:03:09Washington opposed the travel exemption request for
00:03:12Mohammad. The host country shows it lacks the
00:03:15competence to hold such a position. He added that
00:03:19the visa was initially issued, but then canceled
00:03:23under pressure, proving the legal justification was fabricated
00:03:26afterwards. He said Iran's and the
00:03:30agency to serve one country's
00:03:32"I would hope that the leader of interest at the cost of discrediting. It is
00:03:35a dangerous trend that must be stopped. The
00:03:39conference runs from September 14th to 18th with
00:03:43representatives from 181 member states in attendance.
00:04:01And that will also be the topic of this episode of news
00:04:05review. I'm going to discuss that further with Hussein Shafi, member of
00:04:09National Leadership Committee, Workers' Party of
00:04:12Britain, joining us in our Tehran

00:04:31is doing such a thing? Your broad takeaway
00:04:34please. My takeaway is that they've not been very honest
00:04:38brokers. They have done nothing but work
00:04:41as a tool and instrument for for a Zionist state, for
00:04:45America. They have given up the lives or we've had
00:04:48the lives of our scientists taken
00:04:52away by these people who have offered uh
00:04:56the names and addresses of our
00:04:58team, people who have been working on projects.
00:05:02And
00:05:04they don't really care about atomic,
00:05:08what's it called, research or sciences or anything. They're
00:05:11really only implementing whatever it is the West
00:05:14wants to do. They're not interested in actually giving
00:05:18Iran the, as a signed up member of the NPT,
00:05:22to have a chance to actually have nuclear
00:05:26electricity, nuclear energy. All they're interested
00:05:30in is making sure that they can hinder Iran from being able to
00:05:33get any kind of nuclear
00:05:36capacity. And I'm not talking about weaponry. I'm talking about being able
00:05:40to produce electricity. As I do it in Iran, in the
00:05:44summer, people have two hours of electricity cut off once every two or
00:05:47three days. If we had nuclear power and we were given an
00:05:51opportunity to develop those, then we would not have the
00:05:54problems that we've got at the moment. We're a huge country that needs a lot more electricity
00:05:58than we've got capacity for at the moment. And I think it's
00:06:02our right to have that. And I don't believe the IAEA is actually
00:06:06interested in helping us. They're there as a tool and
00:06:09instrument of the West to punish us in any way
00:06:13they can, to try and catch us out and to try
00:06:16and uh bring charges up against us for
00:06:20failing to do whatever it is that they want to do, just so they can
00:06:24create an atmosphere of sanctions against us. That's what they're
00:06:27after. That's right. Thank
00:06:31you so much for your patience. Your thoughts on the same
00:06:34question. I think it's important that your audience understand
00:06:38that organizations such as IAEA, UN, and
00:06:42other world bodies were mainly set up by
00:06:45Western powers after the Second World War to be able to
00:06:49control other countries. In many occasions
00:06:52they do not implement the the authority or the
00:06:57these organizations on every single
00:07:00country. I'll give you an example. For example, in
00:07:03Israel, a country that is not part of the
00:07:07NPT. However, it's not being sanctioned by the Western
00:07:11powers, United Europeans and the United States. And
00:07:16the governing bodies. We even so this is how detrimental the
00:07:20whole um façade has become that the head of the
00:07:23IAEA would come to, before he would come to Iran to visit, he
00:07:27would go and visit Israel, or he would go to visit Israel after he'd come to visit
00:07:31Iran regarding discussing Iran's nuclear program, peaceful
00:07:34nuclear program. So this just goes to show that slowly,
00:07:40these organizations that for many years
00:07:42used to uh prop up the foreign
00:07:46policy and the discrimination of other countries
00:07:49by the Western powers are slowly but
00:07:53surely demeaning their own capabilities and powers. Soon
00:07:56it will come to a point where many people may not
00:07:59follow the UN. They may join, for example, the BRICS. It
00:08:03may be a possibility that if they continue to not uh, for
00:08:07example, condemn the attack on Iran, and especially
00:08:10its nuclear program, peaceful nuclear program by the US and
00:08:14Israel, but then try to condemn Iran for not giving it
00:08:17access, which, uh, as our colleague said, is being
00:08:21used to gather information on the scientists and then assassinate the
00:08:24scientists and to gather information on the capabilities of Iran's
00:08:28peaceful nuclear program, and then know where to strike and damage it. We
00:08:32know during the war, for example, that they attacked many of
00:08:35Iran's peaceful research, medical
00:08:38nuclear research capabilities and
00:08:41buildings. So... so this is in in in one way they
00:08:44believe they're pressuring Iran, but in reality what they're doing is
00:08:47weakening the the organizations that they have
00:08:51propped up for the last 60-70
00:08:53years.
00:08:56Mr. Shafi, one thing that was significant
00:08:59was Russia backing Iran's position, and
00:09:03Associated Press also reported that Russia criticized Austria's
00:09:06handling of the matter and supported Iran's argument
00:09:09regarding its rights as an IAEA member.
00:09:13We also witnessed this last week. How
00:09:16do you think the events that are happening when it comes to the global
00:09:20powers, be it Russia or China,
00:09:23actually can trans and has
00:09:27the Soviet Union, has now that hegemony that you
00:09:30the singular hegemon is no longer the power. America
00:09:34used to be able to bully its way through. Every
00:09:37single problem they ever had, every problem needs a hammer
00:09:41and every problem will always get a hammer. Well, they brought their hammer
00:09:45to Iran and they met a very powerful
00:09:48reply back. Their military is unable or incapable of being able to
00:09:52do anywhere near the kind of damage that will be
00:09:55able to divide Iranian community, as
00:09:59in like the people within the country to say enough is enough. In
00:10:03fact, what they've done is with their attacks
00:10:05on our leaders, our children of Minab and everywhere else, has
00:10:09only hardened everyone's hearts to to fight again.
00:10:13And the battle against America is the thing that has
00:10:16given heart to China and to Russia now to recognize the
00:10:20fact that militarily the United States is a spent force.
00:10:24The only thing they've got are nuclear weapons. Anything that they've
00:10:27got conventional can easily be outmatched by
00:10:31China. Iran has outmatched them. They're unable to bring enough
00:10:34pain to be able to do anything else other than blow up a few
00:10:38bridges, which we fix. The bridges are getting fixed.
00:10:41There's nothing that we can't fix. The only thing that we can't fix is bring
00:10:45back the children. We can't bring back the kids that they seem
00:10:49to want to murder from the sky, whether it's Minab, whether it's
00:10:52Siric. That's what they are. And China and
00:10:55Russia understand that now militarily they have
00:10:59nothing to fear from the United States of America. Their aircraft carriers which are
00:11:02supposed to be these great battle groups are ineffective.
00:11:06They are dead in the water. And I look forward to the day
00:11:10when we're going to be living in a world where Iran
00:11:14is going to become a world power because of its strategic position,
00:11:18because of the willingness of its people, because of the
00:11:21faith that people have in the actual Islamic Republic itself.
00:11:25So for me, I can't see America going anywhere. I can
00:11:29definitely see China and Russia deciding that it's better
00:11:33for them in their best interest to work with us. And I'm glad that Russia is working with
00:11:36us. I'm glad that Russia's taking our side, a bit more than China
00:11:40perhaps. But we helped the the Russians out massively.
00:11:43They were in need of our drone technology and we
00:11:47supplied it to them and they appreciate that. And you know the
00:11:51Russians are not the worst people in the world to have as allies. They are fighters. You
00:11:55know, they fought World War II. They went toe to toe and they took out
00:11:5884% of every single Nazi soldier during the
00:12:02whole of that World War. So it's good to have those people on your
00:12:05side. And to be honest with you, they've not broken faith with
00:12:08us. So I'm happy to have them as allies. And I can only
00:12:11see only good coming from these relationships with uh
00:12:15China and with Russia. It's definitely
00:12:18a world better than having a relationship
00:12:22with America, because any anyone, I think it was
00:12:25Kissinger or someone who turned around and said to be America's
00:12:28friend is is a is not such a good thing and to be
00:12:32its ally is almost the worst possible thing. I know I've botched that up, but
00:12:35reality is it's it's not a good thing to be a friend to
00:12:39America because their friends end up in the bin. And that's what they've done
00:12:43to a lot of countries and a lot of uh leaders
00:12:46in a lot of countries. So I'm happy where we are as
00:12:49Iran right now.
00:12:52Miss the as last question, we have about a minute before we wrap up
00:12:56this section. Um, Iran has been threatened by
00:12:59nuclear weapon annihilation of its
00:13:02civilization in the past 40-day war. At the same
00:13:05time, what we are witnessing today was uh, Iran's
00:13:09head of the Atomic Energy Agency was denied
00:13:12a visa to the IAEA. How do you see
00:13:16the contradiction here? Well,
00:13:19it's it's not a contradiction, it's how the Western um uh
00:13:23governments have been ruling
00:13:25the world up to uh some years ago. Now they won't be able to do all of these
00:13:29things. They, as you said, they uh threaten Iran with
00:13:32nuclear weapons and annihilation, war crimes, and
00:13:35genocide. However, they're not condemned by the IAEA. But
00:13:39Iran's head of Iran's nuclear
00:13:42agency is first given a visa and then that visa is revoked
00:13:46because of pressure from the United States. And this just goes to show that
00:13:50how how weak the Europeans are, that they follow like the
00:13:54Austrians are a sovereign nation. They have the
00:13:57capability to tell America no. But they are so
00:14:00weak that whatever America dictates to them, they do.
00:14:03So that's why there's no point in Iran dealing with the Europeans or
00:14:07the Americans in a diplomatic way. They only understand force, and I think Iran has
00:14:11realized that and that's the way it's going to go forward.

00:15:21Welcome back. Iran says a planned meeting in Oman
00:15:25involving the foreign ministers of Persian Gulf countries to discuss the Strait
00:15:28of Hormuz was canceled at Saudi Arabia's
00:15:32request.
00:15:37The report that has been raised is indeed correct. Saudi Arabia
00:15:40requested that the meeting not be held for the time being. As for the discussions
00:15:44about developments between Saudi Arabia and Yemen being attributed to
00:15:47Iran, that is simply a case of pointing the finger in the wrong
00:15:50direction. Problems cannot be resolved by misplacing the
00:15:54blame.
00:16:01Iran played a role in the attack on Saudi Arabia and said
00:16:04Washington is spreading false reports to deepen
00:16:08divisions among regional states. He said Iran had
00:16:11demonstrated its willingness to help address Yemen's long-standing
00:16:15problems while respecting the
00:16:18roadmap agreed between the parties concerned. He
00:16:22warned that continued conflict among Muslim countries would
00:16:25benefit only the regime.
00:16:29is independent and makes its own decisions based
00:16:33on its interests. He said Yemen's actions must be understood in
00:16:36the context.
00:16:56The Persian Gulf Strait authorities as cargo owners
00:16:59shipping to or from the Persian Gulf had been instructed
00:17:03to review the non-compliance list issued by the authority
00:17:07already before chartering vessels to
00:17:10avoid potential problems. Under the new measures, any
00:17:14vessel cooperating with the with a listed ship,
00:17:18including through ship-to-ship transfers or
00:17:20transshipment will also be added to the non-compliance
00:17:24list. Vessels seeking removal from the list must
00:17:28submit a formal application outlining the grounds for the
00:17:31request to the designated Iranian authority. Tehran
00:17:35stated um started
00:17:37the monitoring of the Strait of Hormuz since the beginning of the US and Israeli
00:17:41aggression on February
00:17:4328th.
00:17:48Press TV's correspondent Moin joined us earlier
00:17:51in our Tehran studio to show his experience in southern Iran while
00:17:55reporting on US crimes there. He says the enemies of Iran
00:18:00the scope of the people's
00:18:02resilience.
00:18:06Perhaps, "the enemies of Iran need a better
00:18:10understanding of the people of the south. These are not the people who are going
00:18:13to lose hope or be discouraged by such attacks. They
00:18:17have lost people before. Almost
00:18:20every family has a martyr in its history. Indeed,
00:18:23so this is not something that is going to discourage
00:18:26them. The mother of Amir Muhammad, the four-year-
00:18:30old baby who was martyred in the attack on the wedding in
00:18:34Sirik, her words were amazing. I don't
00:18:38um, how to explain, she was, the first words that
00:18:41came out of her mouth when I was having an interview with her was
00:18:45that we are going to continue, that we are going
00:18:48to uh keep up, that this is not something that's going to bring me
00:18:51down, and if I had to bring, even if
00:18:55I had to bring all my children
00:18:58to resist oppression, to resist aggression, to defend the
00:19:01country's territorial integrity and the country's independence, I would do
00:19:05so willingly, and I would...
00:19:10the revolution would accept my my
00:19:13present." This is the kind of spirit that you see among the
00:19:16people of the south regardless of their faith or religious
00:19:20background.
00:19:23The Yemeni armed forces say they have conducted a large-scale
00:19:26military operation against key Saudi bases in the country's
00:19:30southwestern city
00:19:31of.
00:19:35In response to the brutal Saudi aggression targeting our
00:19:38significant escalation they are carrying out by launching more than 300 air strikes
00:19:42in the past 5 days with Saudi F-15 and Typhoon fighter jets launched
00:19:45from airbases targeted most Yemeni provinces. By
00:19:49the grace of Allah, the Yemeni armed King Khalid Airbase and
00:19:53dozens of ballistic missiles and drones were used, and the strikes were precise and
00:19:57direct. Thanks to his power and

00:20:50Yemeni political analyst Hussein Abkheidi says Yemen's
00:20:53operations will intensify both inside the country and
00:20:56across Saudi territory as long as Riyadh keeps up
00:21:00its strikes and backs its mercenaries
00:21:03underground.

00:21:10strength of the Saudi-backed forces in Yemen was the

00:21:48advance across Yemen to liberate the rest of Yemen. This is also the main goal.
00:21:52And they will continue to target Saudi Arabia. We've seen that in the recent
00:21:55weeks they have almost targeted all Saudi oil
00:21:58infrastructure in Najran and Jizan and Asir. And I
00:22:02believe soon they will expand those
00:22:05attacks to target all infrastructure inside Saudi Arabia
00:22:08because Yemen will not let Saudi to continue
00:22:12their killing, their attack, their strike, their destruction of
00:22:16Yemen, their support of the mercenaries and Al Qaeda and ISIS. And
00:22:22no longer we cannot do that. They have been doing that since
00:22:252015 when they launched the war against
00:22:28Yemen.
00:22:32Hamas sounded the alarm over a growing campaign by Israeli
00:22:36settlers to expand Jewish religious rituals inside the
00:22:39Al-Aqsa compound in the occupied Al-Quds. The
00:22:43resistance movement says the increasing visits, prayers
00:22:47and religious ceremonies conducted under Israeli police
00:22:50protection risk the undermining of the
00:22:53long-standing arrangements governing the holy site.
00:22:57Hamas argues that the developments are gradual efforts to
00:23:00establish new religious and political reality at
00:23:04Al-Aqsa. It urged Arab and Muslim governments, the
00:23:07UN, and the wider international community to take action to
00:23:11safeguard Muslims' third holy site. The
00:23:15sacred compound has remained a major flashpoint since
00:23:19Israel.
00:23:51while making Israeli control and Jewish
00:23:54presence increasingly permanent. This is
00:23:57the elimination project. It
00:24:00identifies five main interconnected mechanisms that
00:24:03are part of the Israeli campaign in the West
00:24:06Bank: violence and intimidation, ethnic
00:24:09cleansing and territorial takeover, movement
00:24:13restriction, economic strangulation, and
00:24:17social and political destruction.
00:24:23According to B'Tselem, Israel is using military forces
00:24:26and armed settlers to embark on violence, fear,
00:24:30and coercion across the occupied West Bank. The report
00:24:33says at least 1,107
00:24:36Palestinians were killed between October 2023
00:24:40and September 2026 in Israeli attacks. The
00:24:44report also noted that armed settlers have taken control of
00:24:47around 18% of the West Bank as of July
00:24:502026. Israeli authorities continue to
00:24:54criminalize political organizing,
00:24:57suppress protests, and arrest activists, students, and
00:25:01journalists. According to the NGO, since this
00:25:04genocidal war on Gaza began, at least 60
00:25:08Palestinian journalists in the West Bank have been detained. The
00:25:12rights group urged the international community to stop treating
00:25:16Israel's violations as isolated incidents
00:25:19and to stop
00:25:20complicity.

00:27:21wants to come to Hormuz, not yet, but it wants to come and
00:27:25stop somewhere to then pass, we will inform it to
00:27:28stop right where it is. If it violates,
00:27:31we have the ship's name, the ship's owner,
00:27:35the one who chartered the ship.
00:27:38We will put this on the sanctions list. We will inform
00:27:41them that they will face insurance problems. From an
00:27:45insurance perspective, their costs will go up tremendously, and
00:27:49then we know that if they pass through here again,
00:27:52they will return here, and then it's in our hands.
00:27:55Many of these ships, mostly 80- 90% of these ships, don't just
00:27:59pass through once and leave because here
00:28:03a large part of the world's trade, especially oil and gas, is here.
00:28:07So what is the difference with the current situation? Even now, if
00:28:10a vessel wants to pass, it must be in coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
00:28:13So what is the difference with being on the sanctions list?
00:28:16That those who want to use
00:28:20here outside of Iran's management,
00:28:22either illegally or
00:28:25in a way that creates problems,
00:28:29we will put them on the sanctions list because before closing the Strait of Hormuz, even
00:28:32before these wars, more than 100 ships passed through
00:28:36here daily. It costs a lot of dollars.
00:28:40It tries to turn off all these devices at night.
00:28:43It allows 5-6 ships
00:28:47to pass. Usually, they are caught. Of course,
00:28:51we haven't yet decided to sink them because they contain
00:28:54oil and
00:28:58oil products. And
00:29:01if they pollute the entire
00:29:04Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, then it will create problems for
00:29:08us. Therefore, any violation, any
00:29:12actions that we consider
00:29:15criminal, we can put them on our sanctions
00:29:19list, and if they ever want to pass through
00:29:23the Strait of Hormuz, we will stop them here, and this will take
00:29:27time. This area is prohibited, meaning that for a specified period, this area will be prohibited.
00:29:30This area is prohibited until the US naval blockade
00:29:34is in place. This is contrary to what
00:29:37Trump says, that it's completely closed.
