00:00:33government to disarm hisb, meanwhile, the cionist entity
00:00:37strengthens its plans to
00:00:38in permanently of occupy South Leven under the guise of so-called security
00:00:42zone.
00:00:46The genocide in South Lebanon continues, even though the world
00:00:50forgets. Since the 2nd of March this year, more than
00:00:544,300 people have been killed, and over 12,00
00:00:58wounded, with more than 1 million. people displaced its
00:01:01peak, although some later return a mid
00:01:04of ongoing insecurity. villages near the border with the zinist
00:01:08entity have been raised to the ground, with others even further
00:01:12out
00:01:13of suffering extensive damage and destruction. despite a cessation of
00:01:17hostility supposedly taking effect towards the end of
00:01:20June, the zionists are still engaged in daily targeted
00:01:24strikes
00:01:24of and of killings.
00:01:25of meanwhile, the United States has continued its attempt to
00:01:29disar. the
00:01:30a Lebanese Resistance and to exercise effective control over the
00:01:34Lebanese Government. On the 26th of
00:01:37of June, of Lebanon, the US and the Zinist regime, signed a
00:01:40framework agreement in Washington which was rejected as being
00:01:44nullen void and humiliation by Hisballah Secretary
00:01:48General Naim Khassim. He argued that it conditions
00:01:52any zinus withdrawal a
00:01:55of disarmment
00:01:55of the resistance, and that it allows an extended Zionist
00:01:58presence in the country. South. Design is defense minister
00:02:02Israel Katz has stated that the Israel occupation
00:02:06forces will remain
00:02:07in a so-called security zone in South Lebanon, covering
00:02:11areas up to several kilometers inside the border.
00:02:15Despite this, the Lebanese President, Joseph Aun,
00:02:18of maintains of a slavish posture towards the United States. In
00:02:22his July visit to the White House, he declared that Lebanon is
00:02:26counting on the
00:02:27of US as its sponsor, but this is... not prevented further strikes
00:02:31against Lebanon. On the 15th of August, the Zionis hit a
00:02:35house in the village of Ansar, killing seven people, including
00:02:39three children and two
00:02:40of women, and later struck Dayer
00:02:44of Al-Zarani, killing four more. Lebanese authorities recorded
00:02:48this as one
00:02:48of the highest single day death tolls since the June
00:02:51framework.
00:02:53in The Jone framework leaves Zionist forces occupying Lebanese
00:02:57territory, while demanding the dismantling. the only
00:03:01force that has historically constrained the zionist colonization of
00:03:04Lebanon, but for Lebanon's puppet
00:03:07of regime on the President Joseph Owen, which is under the willing
00:03:10tutage
00:03:11of the Americans, their own status and pockets appear to matter
00:03:15more than the wellbeing of Lebanese citizens and the
00:03:18integrity of Lebanon's borders. Well, join me

00:03:40Israel, David Miller. David recently secured a far reaching legal
00:03:43precedent, this made it illegal for employeers to
00:03:46of of take disciplinary action against their employees for publicly opposing
00:03:49zionism. In addition to his empirical research on zionism,
00:03:53David's also a co-director with lobbying watch dog spinwatch and a senior research
00:03:57fellow at the center for islam and global affairs as
00:04:00university, welcome to the show, well lave,
00:04:03for those of us don't live this every day, can you
00:04:07outline the the scale of destruction in south lebanon and
00:04:10explain what it shows about, for most of us,
00:04:14this is an area that is 10, 20
00:04:18times the size of gaza that is occupied by the Israelis
00:04:22and they have been
00:04:24conducting total ethnic
00:04:28cleansing campaign in this areas blowing up
00:04:31complete villages, destroying all historical
00:04:35sites and even
00:04:39of uprooting the historic
00:04:41a graveyards of this region, so over for instance
00:04:45just the last 24 hours, three
00:04:48villages behind the occupation line
00:04:52were completely blown up, and this is bringing the
00:04:56number of villages that have been eraised,
00:05:00off the map close to 30 villages right now totally
00:05:04wiped out like that since
00:05:06the occupation
00:05:08of the area was you know
00:05:11conducted. and the seasfire came into effect,
00:05:15so I think
00:05:17you know what the Israelis are doing is
00:05:20genocide and ethnic cleansing a large
00:05:24scale in south Lebanon the land blowing up all
00:05:28hillsy the land blowing up all hills and
00:05:31mountains from
00:05:34existence, this you know triggered the speaker
00:05:38the house nabi the head the
00:05:42the al party to make a statement this
00:05:46morning saying that the scale
00:05:49of ethnic cleansing
00:05:53that is happening in south Lebanon is larger than that in
00:05:56Gaza. Why is these the so-called June
00:06:00framework agreement failed to stop the daily zionist strikes in
00:06:04Lebanon? well
00:06:07I mean you you don't make an agreement with the cienist entity and
00:06:11expect that they will keep to it. the violate every cease fire,
00:06:15every treaty, every agreement, usually before it's even come into
00:06:18effect, and of course that was the same uh in Lebanon from June
00:06:22onwards, we've seen uh lots and lots of footage
00:06:25the mass uh blowing up of
00:06:29villages of apartment complexes across the whole of
00:06:33South Lebanon and and it's been a very
00:06:36significant uh uptaken the tempo of some of those those
00:06:40activities uh but started off. much more slowly in late
00:06:44June, now of course the exceeding weeks and also of course they
00:06:48have tried their best to bring in
00:06:51Julani, their asset in Syria to attack
00:06:55hisb,
00:06:56now that seems to have been uh stopped
00:07:00by the Islamic Republic of Iran saying to Syria that it would not
00:07:03tolerate Syrian forces entering Lebanon and that it
00:07:07would directly strike if they did that, so that's of
00:07:11course come off. the agenda, but what we're seeing is
00:07:14attempt to make it impossible
00:07:18for the people of South Lebanon to return to their villages because they will be so
00:07:21destroyed that there will be nothing left to to rebuild and
00:07:25also they will they are clearing territory for what they call security zone but
00:07:29also of course will be potential for
00:07:33new Jewish settlements which of course is already some
00:07:36evidence that's happening although it's been quite difficult because
00:07:40the uh the lack of military success. they've had in
00:07:44their campaign to raise
00:07:47villages, i don't if you recall chris, but was in
00:07:50lebanon now last year and went to the south right to the border
00:07:54actually to see some these villages, including one called
00:07:58kafakila, i was the first to me and
00:08:01dimitri lascaras were the first western journalist to get there and it was
00:08:05almost entirely destroyed and you could designers
00:08:08had only left three days before and it was almost entirely destroyed -
00:08:12and they carved a massive star of David in
00:08:14the in the middle of football pitch which we saw from the hills above it, it
00:08:18was just truly awful and of course they continue with that kind of activity, indeed
00:08:22if anything escalated into the mass bombing
00:08:26campaigns
00:08:27the they've undertaken against particular villages and apartment
00:08:30blocks, you know
00:08:34you mentioned
00:08:36their you you can't trust the the zionist to stick to a treaty, it kind of
00:08:40reminds me what we now know. about other satlor
00:08:43colonial projects like the United States of America for example, which made
00:08:47numerous treaties with the native Americans and broke them
00:08:51systematically,
00:08:52I mean this just seems to be feature doesn't it of of settle
00:08:55colonialism? well, it's the arrogance the settlers,
00:08:59isn't it? I mean, there's a particular um
00:09:02dimension to settler colonialism, which we should be conscious
00:09:06of, but maybe we sometimes forget, which makes it different to the kind of resource
00:09:10colonialism which - affected other parts
00:09:13of what used to be called the developing world, so for example India
00:09:17wasn't a settler colony, whereas which becames the bubble was,
00:09:21south africa was, algeria was, the north of ireland of course is
00:09:24remains a settler colony, and what happens is
00:09:27that the settlers, they start to
00:09:31adopt their own interests, they start to have their own interests which are
00:09:35separate from whoever is their sponsor, whether that's an imperial
00:09:39power or or or
00:09:41the the home. from which they have come, so that's
00:09:45a dynamic which you saw in Algeria, you
00:09:48saw in in Zimbabwe, you saw in South Africa, of course in
00:09:52America, and the other Australia, New Zealand, etc., because of
00:09:56course the metropolis quite often takes a more
00:10:00liberal, imperialist view, and not so much of
00:10:04a genocidal, directly genocidal view, so there's a kind
00:10:08of tension there quite often between the different sorts of
00:10:11imperialist.
00:10:13in terms of controlling the territory, and that's why that in the end settler
00:10:16colonies cease to exist, because the the set become so
00:10:20extreme and so genocidal that either they are kicked
00:10:24out. or they they they complete settle of colonialism,
00:10:28which is which means of course
00:10:30that they effectively eliminate all the natives or
00:10:33sufficient number the natives that they can't make any difference to politics, such is the
00:10:37case, for example in Australia, Canada and the
00:10:41US, but so far in in in Palestine, they've
00:10:45not managed that, and it looks like it's going to be very difficult for them to manage that, even
00:10:48though they though they have inflicted heavy blows of course on the palestinian
00:10:52resistance and indeed on hisballah and of course they
00:10:56took out the the government of basar alasad, key element the axis of
00:11:00resistance, but they cannot defeat Iran, so they are a bit of bind
00:11:04the Netanyahu's most recent statement talks about how they have
00:11:08effectively destroyed Iran's military capability, it's nuclear
00:11:12program, it's missile program, and everybody knows that
00:11:16that's not true, so that's the they find themselves
00:11:19in, yes absolutely, and and you mentioned
00:11:22Algeria, David, and of course that's... inspirational tale isn't it where the
00:11:26resistance did prevail didn't they? but it hear a lot the mainstream
00:11:30media uh or mainstream commentators actually referring to that but I mean that
00:11:34that was a real inspirational and and successful
00:11:38resistance campaign wasn't it that did win through in the
00:11:41end? yeah I mean the selles have been there for a long time longer actually
00:11:45than uh the zines have been there at least since 1948
00:11:49obviously there were some designers before 1948 but they were there for over
00:11:53hundred years and they were kicked out. "and as result, Algeria
00:11:57is now predominantly Muslim country and is an independent country, one
00:12:00it is the biggest supporters the Palestinians uh,
00:12:04sure of direct military support for the Palestinians uh that we have in
00:12:08the world, sure now indeed, but lafe, I mean the Zionists
00:12:12haven't exactly been having easy time in South Leven and have they, I
00:12:16mean despite temporarily capturing lots of land, just tell us about some the
00:12:20difficulties that the Israeli occupation forces have faced
00:12:22then yeah the..." "the zionist occupation
00:12:26in south Lebanon is not a walk in the park, it is
00:12:30very, very difficult military operation,
00:12:34hezballah is kind of
00:12:37restraining itself at this moment because the cease
00:12:41fire, but that is not stopping hizbullah
00:12:44from ambushing any
00:12:48Israeli forces that attempt to
00:12:51move forward in the occupation so..."
00:12:55where you know the occupation
00:12:59um is not comfortable, just yesterday also
00:13:03released some videos their operations
00:13:06against the Israeli occupation forces before the cease fire
00:13:10came into effect showing that they are able
00:13:14to conduct these operations if they want to again and i
00:13:18think we will be mentarily i think it will going to
00:13:22be triggered since the morning. "the
00:13:25Israelis are bombarding villages far away
00:13:29from the frontline a as as part
00:13:32their you know overall
00:13:35policy of you punishing the
00:13:39population in for anytime they
00:13:43lose battle on the ground with Hisballah
00:13:45they you know do collective punishment against
00:13:49the civilians in South Lebanon so that's that's what's happening
00:13:53right now and I think..." "you know, if we if we look at all those
00:13:57videos over the last uh,
00:14:00you four five months the confrontation between Hisbollah
00:14:04and the occupation forces, it is clear that they
00:14:07have,
00:14:09you know, lost a lot of men and lost a lot of equipment, some something like
00:14:13500 tanks were blown up by Hisballah
00:14:16in this battle. Well, David, what does south
00:14:20Lebanon tell us about the difficulty this anines are going to have in
00:14:24actually..." realizing their plan for
00:14:26a supposed greater Israel, well the difficulty that
00:14:30they have is at root is demographic
00:14:33one, they
00:14:34they aren't even able to demographically dominate Palestine,
00:14:38because there are about the same number of non jews as that are Jews and
00:14:42if the right of return was allowed there would be the Jews
00:14:46would be a minority and and there wouldn't be a Jewish
00:14:49state, so the the difficulty is that they haven't got enough people to
00:14:53occupy the new... that the occupy in
00:14:56Syria or the parts the trying to occupy in Lebanon, they haven't
00:15:00got enough people and and it doesn't matter how how it's going to take a
00:15:04long long time for that to be the case, so as result they have to find
00:15:08other ways to dominate, and that of course means using assets and proxies,
00:15:12so
00:15:12for for example syriani is their asset and their proxy,
00:15:16although of course there are some tensions in that relationship
00:15:19where the the Syrian government were going to
00:15:22allow uh turkish troops to deploy. Aleppo,
00:15:26which which is a threat to Israeli national security interests according
00:15:30to Benjamin Netanyahu, and they they they
00:15:33have, they have made sure that this clean clear.
00:15:37that they will will bomb Syria again, having destroyed almost all their
00:15:41military capability, same is true of course in Lebanon where they have to
00:15:44have uh proxies in the government of Lebanon who are quizlings
00:15:48and effectively is vish regime collaborating with the
00:15:52occupiers their own country despite the fact that Lebanese
00:15:56law still requires that they don't do that
00:15:58so that that's that's
00:15:59a really significat issue and of course we see the same in the region
00:16:03as well with the Abraham accords the normalization
00:16:05processes. United Arab Emirates, key key to
00:16:09that, Morocco key to that, which of course has an intelligence services which was set up
00:16:13by the mossad, so all of that is a is an indication that they
00:16:17can't, they can't send jews out to settle everywhere because
00:16:20there aren't enough jews and there won't be enough jews and
00:16:23so that's the problem, sure,
00:16:27it is absolutely a problem, it can seem to me to
00:16:28be
00:16:29a fundamental flaw in the in their overall plan, but late, mean tell us about the the
00:16:32Lebanese president's humiliating deference to Donald Trump and and what
00:16:36this means? going forward as a potential
00:16:40state? yeah, well president
00:16:44Joseph and prime minister naf salam
00:16:47have basically bent over backwards to
00:16:51appease the imperialist and the Jewish
00:16:54supremacist in their hopes
00:16:57of getting something in return
00:17:00it seems like that they never
00:17:02materialized.
00:17:08is seems like to be one way,
00:17:11the way that
00:17:15um, to show you the level of humiliation
00:17:18for this government, few days ago, the libanese
00:17:22ambassador to the UN in Geneva and the human
00:17:26rights council just spoke lightly
00:17:30about the crimes being committed by Israel
00:17:34in South Lebanon, and that triggered uh the
00:17:38Israeli government to call Trump and uh
00:17:42then uh Trump's cabinet calling the
00:17:46president of Lebanon demanding that the uh
00:17:49this ambassador be removed from his
00:17:53post and they were referring to one the articles in
00:17:57the memorandum of understanding between
00:18:00the own regime and the Israelis which state
00:18:04that Libanon cannot anymore uh um, you
00:18:08know, um, bring Israel
00:18:12and or complain about Israel's
00:18:15actions in Lebanon, either in
00:18:19courts or diplomatic venues, which means that it's not only
00:18:23that the Lebanese government is not going to be able to sue
00:18:27for damages or for war crimes, but it can't even speak about them
00:18:31a public way, and that is the level of
00:18:34humiliation of this government and...
00:18:37accepted, the good thing for
00:18:41Lebanon um out of all of this is that
00:18:45this government, Joseph on and naf Salam have no
00:18:48power really in the country, neither the
00:18:52military and or the security forces are under
00:18:56their control, and they cannot
00:18:59deliver on the demands the Israelis
00:19:03and the Americans, they can yap, they can
00:19:07humiliate. themselves more and more publicly, but that's all they can
00:19:10achieve. well, David, I
00:19:12mean in the end, this strategy of of appeasement, isn't going
00:19:15to go well for the Lebanese president, or indeed is
00:19:19his prime minister, Anna Salim, is it, or for that matter, the
00:19:23rest the collaborators in the Lebanese
00:19:25government? no, look, I mean, the the the position of
00:19:29Hezball, which of course has representatives in the government, as always
00:19:33been that they wouldn't um uh coup or...
00:19:37to try and take over Lebanon, although they would surely be justified
00:19:41in trying to do so, but that position might change in the
00:19:44future, but of course what the zinis want is the for is for the
00:19:48to be a civil war, so they want to try and
00:19:52engineer sunni gorillas coming in from
00:19:56from Syria to attack hisballah, and they also
00:20:00want to engineer of course the Christian filangis, the fascist
00:20:03militares that there that are in the north more northerly part of Lebanon.
00:20:07to engage in that conflict as well, of course they were used famously in the
00:20:11shabara massacers uh back in
00:20:13the day overseen by the zionists under the watchful eye the
00:20:17zionists, so the strategy is a strategy of tenting to
00:20:20try and uh create a civil war which would have
00:20:24the effect of as they would say the used to say in gaza of mowing the
00:20:28grass of diverting hisb from
00:20:32defending against scientist occupation and
00:20:35invasion to defending themselves. against uh fellow Lebanese,
00:20:39which of course would would likely be
00:20:43heavy tool for hisb's personnel, so that that's the kind of
00:20:46strategy that they're using, because they can't settle everywhere, the... they try and
00:20:50find ways to destroy all their enemies and set their enemies against each
00:20:53other and another aspect of this state
00:20:56it is the fact that yeah the more
00:21:00um the war and and and and difficulties the sort
00:21:04of problems you've just been out lining there plays into
00:21:07the hands doesn't it the military industrial complex mean they
00:21:11make lots of money down the out of of selling weapons and
00:21:14we know that britain is implicated in the ongoing genocide because they're continuing
00:21:18to supply Israel with weapons so so there's money to be made
00:21:22isn't there out of this as well? there is money to be made and of
00:21:25course uh supply all sites in the conflict just like
00:21:29the zionists supply all sides in in politics in the
00:21:33UK and elsewhere but sometimes those those arms
00:21:36firms are much more ideological so
00:21:39the the Israeli arms firms for example elbit for example is
00:21:43really aircraft industry
00:21:46that they are quite ideological and are used to
00:21:50sue uh zinis foreign policy
00:21:53ambitions, so that of course means that they they they won't sell arms to some
00:21:57some participants in conflict, but they will sell arms to
00:22:01those governments which they think they can use or have an advantage
00:22:04with. now indeed, it's it's a
00:22:08tragic state of affairs and shows the amorality the
00:22:12immorality, probably more appropriate description the the arms
00:22:16dealers really, but I'm afraid that's all we've got time for today.

00:24:02researchers, shared what he had learned and helped prepare new
00:24:05generation to work in some of Iran's most advanced fields
00:24:09of science and technology. for him, scientific power was not simply
00:24:13about what one scientist could achieve, it was about what could be passed
00:24:17on from one generation to the next and but may explain why
00:24:21scientists like Fulad Vand can become targets.
00:24:25Eliminating as scientists may silence one voice, but it cannot erase the
00:24:29knowledge of that voice has already passed to others. Just days after his
00:24:32martterdom, the prestigious journal science in its April 6,
00:24:362026 issue reported on the growing Israeli campaign targeting
00:24:40Iranian scientists and universities. Full advanced death had
00:24:44become part of a larger story, a war in which those
00:24:47capable of advancing Iran scientific and technological
00:24:51future were themselves being targeted, but there is limit
00:24:55to what an attack can destroy a laboratory can be
