00:01:28of seasous. Journalists often find themselves working under growing pressure and
00:01:31facing detention and harassment. The latest case is that of Press
00:01:35TV's correspondent Naika Ahmed, whose arrest is raised fresh
00:01:40of concern over the treatment
00:01:41a of Palestinian journalists and our home safety while in
00:01:45in
00:01:45detention.
00:01:50It has been three days since Press TV's west bank reporter
00:01:53Nakahmed was abducted by Israeli soldiers. Regime forces
00:01:57arrested her a checkpoint as she was returning. from
00:02:00a reporting assignment, her cameraman who witnessed the incident
00:02:04recounts how the events unfolded. It was three
00:02:08of female soldiers who ushered our car to stop. They demanded we hand over our
00:02:12identification cards, and they photographed each
00:02:14of ID as well as took our pictures. After a short while, the soldiers
00:02:18ordered
00:02:18of the team to get out
00:02:19of the car and follow them to a military watch tower
00:02:22in nearby. We were forced to sit on the ground

00:02:45in a statement that her abduction is the latest example of Israel
00:02:49detaining a journalist. It noted that Hamed has diabetes and other
00:02:52health problems. It warned that Hamet's continued detention
00:02:56raised serious concerns about her health and safety given the...
00:03:00conditions and lack of adequate medical care in Israeli prisons and
00:03:04detention centers. The journalist has been working as a prestivi
00:03:07correspondent since 2024. Over the past few
00:03:11weeks she has been reporting about rising settler attacks
00:03:14especially in the town of
00:03:17in Qusra as well as Israel's land grab policies in the occupied
00:03:20territories. That's deemed to be the reason she has been targeted by
00:03:24Israeli settlers with wave of incitement on Telegram channels and
00:03:28a Israeli media. The campaign has been slammed as part of a
00:03:32targeted effort to put psychological and media
00:03:35pressure, limit the space available to journalists and media outlets
00:03:39and obstruct Press TV's coverage of Israeli crimes from
00:03:43reaching audiences around the world. Thamed was also injured
00:03:47in December last year while reporting from Galandia refugee camp
00:03:51after Israeli forces targeted her with rubber bullets.
00:03:55Hamed is from the village of Baitin northeast of
00:03:58of Romala holding American. sitizenship and is married with three young
00:04:02children, hammed family contacted the US embassy in
00:04:06al-quds about her arrest, but has yet to hear back.
00:04:09Israeli news outlets cited unidentified Israeli military
00:04:13sources as saying hammed suspected of cooperating with an
00:04:17enemy entity and may also be under suspicion of
00:04:20of espionage. hammed's detention is part of escalating wave of arrest of
00:04:24palestinian journalists by Israeli authorities. nearly 40
00:04:28journalists are currently in Israeli. attention, according to the Palestinian
00:04:32prisoner society,
00:04:33in all of whom were abducted following the start of Israel's genocidal
00:04:37war on Gaza nearly three years ago. Over half
00:04:41of the journalists behind Bours are being held in administrative
00:04:45detention, mechanism that allows Israeli authorities to
00:04:48imprison
00:04:49of people indefinitely without charge or trial. For hammed's
00:04:53family however, the case is deeply personal. Three days
00:04:57after her arrest, they're still waiting for answer. about where
00:05:01she is being held, the charges against her, and whether she's
00:05:04receiving the medical care she needs. as
00:05:07of hammed remains behind bars, her colleagues
00:05:10a and family continue to call for her immediate release. and for guarantees of
00:05:14her safety and access to proper medical care. the case
00:05:17of hammed is yet another reminder the risks
00:05:21Palestinian journalists face simply for documenting events on
00:05:25the ground. for now, her family remains without
00:05:28answers and the questions surrounding her abduction
00:05:31remain
00:05:32unresolved.

00:06:33now knows what their regime is doing to
00:06:36Palestinians, to lebanese. The reporter

00:06:47her were also prevented from getting close to her, what
00:06:51human rights watch called clear war crime,
00:06:55so the Israelis have no concern for humanitarian

00:07:03NBC news from the United States had crews
00:07:06attacked with stones and sticks by Israeli settlers while the
00:07:10army stood by, so now... because uh
00:07:14situation is terrible, but in general the media is under
00:07:17attack because they're desperate not to have the
00:07:21word spread about the truth, but I would also point
00:07:24out at least one third the Israeli army are
00:07:28American citizens and many the settlers are from
00:07:32Brooklyn, New York, right, so it's actually Americans

00:25:07were getting ready for a wedding, night for new clothes, seeing the
00:25:11bride and groom, music and laughter and children playing
00:25:15among their relatives, but at around 9 o'clock on September
