00:00:00"the UK's role has been massive in the creation of of
00:00:04Israel itself. the west has always put themselves in picture
00:00:07as
00:00:08of the saviors, having the savior complex, but at the
00:00:12same time they do not look inwardly and look at how they have massively
00:00:15created the situation that we are in right now,
00:00:18of by you through their diplomatic ties, through the export of
00:00:22arms,
00:00:23you know, and and following only limited international law
00:00:27where it is feasible for them." "

00:00:54For months Saudi Arabia and its American patron have behaved as
00:00:58though they had discovered ultimate escape hatch
00:01:01of from the consequences of war. Iran closes the
00:01:06a of straight of hormos, no problem. Saudi Arabia, we were told had the
00:01:08of east-west pipeline, millions of barrels of crude oil per day could
00:01:12simply bypass the Persian gulf across the
00:01:15of kingdom and sail out through Yanboa on the Red Sea.
00:01:19A neat little geopolitical work around, except apparently the
00:01:23work around has now been shattered. Saudi Arabia has
00:01:27announced the shutdown of its crucial east-west crew. pipeline
00:01:30after multiple strikes targeted the facility. The very
00:01:34infrastructure that was supposed to give Muhammad bin Salman and Washington a
00:01:38strategic alternative to Hormus has suddenly become another
00:01:42vulnerability, and the irony is almost too perfect. For
00:01:46years, Riyad invested billions of dollars in projecting the image of
00:01:50modern, military protected, economically
00:01:53indispensible powerhouse. The message was simple,
00:01:57Saudi Arabia would always flow. Saudi infrastructure
00:02:01would always be secure and Saudi Arabia would always have an
00:02:04alternative, until it did not. Holmus
00:02:08is closed, the east-west pipeline is shut down, red sea
00:02:12exports are
00:02:13of under increasing pressure and Saudi oil production has pluunched
00:02:17dramatically, so much for the
00:02:19of great bypass, but perhaps the most revealing part of this entire
00:02:23spectacle is what comes
00:02:26a of next. Enter Benjamin
00:02:27of Netanyahu reportedly offering to step in and bob Yemen and Iraq to help
00:02:31Saudi Arabia, think about that for moment. Muhammad
00:02:35bin
00:02:36of Salman who has spent years presenting himself as the architect of new
00:02:39Saudi Arabia, sovereign, powerful and independent is now watching
00:02:43Netanyahu offer Israeli entity bombs as a rescue package for the
00:02:47kingdom's collapsing oil routes. That is not
00:02:50sovereignty,
00:02:51that is geopolitical humiliation wrapped in expensive public
00:02:56of relations, of and the hypocrisy is breathtaking. Saudi Arabia.
00:03:00spent years bombing Yemen, imposing devastating pressure on an already
00:03:03impoverished nation and participating in policies that brought suffering to
00:03:07millions of Yemenis. Now that Yemen has the capacity to
00:03:11impose a cost in return, Riyad suddenly needs others to
00:03:15come and fight its battles, first Washington, now perhaps
00:03:18Netanyahu. This is the uncomfortable truth for Muhammad bin
00:03:22Salman. You cannot spend years participating
00:03:24of in the architecture of American aggression, bank role regional
00:03:28wars, imagine that during can permanently protect you from
00:03:32consequences and then act shocked when the fire actually reaches your
00:03:35own pipelines. the straight of hermus was supposed to be
00:03:39bypassed. instead, Saudi Arabia may be learning that
00:03:42in a regional war there is no bypass
00:03:46around consequences. welcome to the meast
00:03:48stream,
00:03:56for years Saudi Arabia and its American allies believed that the...
00:04:00East-West pipeline gave the kingdom a strategic escape route, should the
00:04:04straight of hormos ever become
00:04:06a inaccessible, but that calculation is now facing dramatic collapse.
00:04:10As Hormus remains under pressure, the alternative Red Sea route is
00:04:14increasingly vulnerable. Exposing how deeply Saudi Arabia's
00:04:18economic security depends on
00:04:20a regional order it can no longer fully control. To
00:04:24discuss this issue with us from Beirot is Mr. Ali Murad, political commentator. Thanks
00:04:28million for being with
00:04:29of us. of Thank you. and I need to explain a bit to our viewers in the
00:04:32west what this means actually, because maybe they
00:04:36do not understand the
00:04:38of strategic geography of what we're talking about, they have fully understood by
00:04:42now what the straight of hormoz is, but why is Saudi Arabia's
00:04:46east-west
00:04:47a pipeline
00:04:47a uh considered Washington and Riyadh's most
00:04:50important alternative for keeping Saudi oil flowing and
00:04:54most importantly now that the pipeline itself has been hit and the oil
00:04:58flow has been interrupted, Maybe uh, can we know how
00:05:02fundamentally does this change the uh strategic
00:05:05challenge for
00:05:06a Saudi Arabia itself and the wider allies, if
00:05:10you will, patrons of Saudi Arabia, well first of all we all know that the east-west
00:05:14pipeline exists since the late
00:05:1780s, but the importance the
00:05:21of this route has been so
00:05:24important um after the events that took
00:05:28place in hormostrate, the
00:05:31saudis braged about
00:05:34the their capability to export more than six million barrels
00:05:38of oil per day after
00:05:41the uh the closure the hormost
00:05:44straight, they were capable to do
00:05:48this, and the rest the Persian Gulf Arab
00:05:51states were unable to export their own
00:05:54oil, so now the Americans have been
00:05:58depending on the flow of those six or seven
00:06:02million barrels per day through the western ports of
00:06:06Saudi Arabia through the Red Sea, through the zous
00:06:09canal and the Babel Mandab straight. Right now,
00:06:13after the events in Yemen and the closure
00:06:17the Babel Mandib straight in face
00:06:20the Saudi oil exports, it
00:06:24has been vital for the Americans and the Saudis that the
00:06:28flow remains through the Zois canal
00:06:32after the um
00:06:36the um the attacks on the um the
00:06:39main pipeline uh
00:06:42station uh close to the Madina uh and
00:06:46Saudi Arabia is lost their
00:06:50lost their six million barrels per day
00:06:54exports per so it it's now as
00:06:57something devastating for the oil exporting
00:07:01industry in Saudi Arabia and it means that six million
00:07:05barrels per day uh are not being
00:07:09exported uh into the global ' energy
00:07:13market, so this has to affect the the price,
00:07:17it did start, California woke up a 9.99 per
00:07:20gallon, exactly, pretty first in its in its history, but
00:07:24there's also something important because Saudi Arabia has spent years investing
00:07:28heavily in the idea that its oil infrastructure can
00:07:32actually be protected because it has this powerful imperial power
00:07:36that helps it, the advanced western weapons, the military
00:07:39bases that were struck during the war against the Islamic Republic. of Iran and
00:07:43that they had the alternative route to what seems the major
00:07:4720% uh the global export of oil that comes through
00:07:51the straight of hormoz, yet we are now uh seeing this pressure simultaneously
00:07:55on the Persian Gulf and the west-east pipeline as well and the red
00:07:59sea shipping routes from uh the Ansarullah movement in Yemen
00:08:02taking uh retaking if you will Babel Mantab rightly
00:08:06so as Yemenis that this does this demonstrate that the
00:08:09traditional US Saudi uh attempt to
00:08:13try and architecture uh this kind of security is
00:08:17falling apart and maybe never returning to what it once
00:08:21was? well, i think that the um the
00:08:24events proved that the saudi
00:08:28american
00:08:29security
00:08:32infrastructure has collapsed since
00:08:352019, if we
00:08:37recall in september 2019 the
00:08:41Yemenes at
00:08:42attacked
00:08:44and they they were
00:08:48capable of disrupting the production and
00:08:52the export of more than 6 million barrels per day
00:08:55after the attack, by then the
00:08:58Americans were like telling the saudis that we
00:09:02cannot do anything for you, went out and said we are waiting,
00:09:06went out and said, we are waiting for our Saudi allies to
00:09:09specify where the drones and the missile...
00:09:13originated from, so that's impossible that the US didn't know where they
00:09:17originated from, i think there is similar stance,
00:09:21american stance right now, Washington is
00:09:25is expressing that they are incapable of doing
00:09:28anything to the Saudis after the attack on the east-west
00:09:32pipeline, so I think that Saudis
00:09:36now are getting
00:09:40how serious the Americans are... are and providing
00:09:43security, they are incapable of providing security to
00:09:47their own soldiers and bases in the region,
00:09:51so they cannot do the same to the saudis, that's why I
00:09:55think that's why we we see that Saudis are going into
00:09:59Turkey and Pakistan and
00:10:01elsewhere to try to buy security, but
00:10:05in
00:10:05the end they can never
00:10:08protect or provide this security.
00:10:12umbrella
00:10:14uh uh to to protect their infrastructure, someone else is offering it
00:10:18though, ali, someone else is offering, because we read uh the
00:10:22zionist Israeli media saying that Netanyahu the... reports that he's
00:10:25offering to expand military action against both Yemen and Iraq to
00:10:29support uh Saudi Arabia and uh Monday morning there was a
00:10:33report from Hayom I'm not mistaken saying that
00:10:36it is Muhammad bin Salman who's seeking Israeli aid in
00:10:39this uh matter now what does this tell us about the uh uh
00:10:43emerging it's not emerging it has been always there but especially right now after
00:10:47what's been happening for the past three years Gaza Lebanon Iran the
00:10:51entire region what does this tell us about the alignment between the
00:10:55Saudi American and Israeli entity, and what about the leader the
00:10:59Muslim Ummah, Muhammad bin Salman, putting his hand in the hands
00:11:03of a war criminal, an actual
00:11:06prosecuted war criminal in the
00:11:08ICJ, to help him rid
00:11:12uh his uh interests against the Yemeni people who have been
00:11:15suffering under Saudi aggression and besiegement since
00:11:192015, what does this tell us about what's happening in the region? Well,
00:11:23first of all, the Saudi leader... uh knows well that
00:11:27in case he went into the zionis and asked
00:11:31for protection, it's going to be a big
00:11:34scandal for him because he is promoting himself
00:11:38and his father as the custodians the two holy
00:11:42places in Mecca and Medina, and we all know that
00:11:46the amenies during um the al-Aqsa
00:11:49flood operation after it when they started
00:11:53supporting the Palestinian people. by shooting their
00:11:56hypersonic missiles into the zionist regime, they
00:12:00gained a very big
00:12:04popular support from the Yemenes
00:12:07and as well as the the whole arab
00:12:10public, so in such a
00:12:13situation, if MBS goes into
00:12:17the Netanyahu government and ask
00:12:20for an official
00:12:23support in the... the emines, it's going to
00:12:27be killer for him, i think,
00:12:29because the legitimacy of what the soudis are
00:12:33are doing now is going to be reduced in
00:12:37face the events,
00:12:39because after all the
00:12:43first enemy the arab public is thesign regime,
00:12:47so you are going into the ziners, the the enemy the
00:12:51palestinian people and the enemy the whole region and ask:
00:12:55for support, this would erode what is
00:12:58left of legitimacy for the saudi regime,
00:13:02so it's a dangerous move that can be made
00:13:05by uh muhammad bin Salman
00:13:07and also tells gravely about the dire situation that the Saudis are now
00:13:11facing when when they ch when they were
00:13:15challenged by the ansarullah resistance problem,
00:13:19their major problem is that the Americans themselves
00:13:22tried with the Yemanis and failed. Exactly, so that tells us lot
00:13:26and we'll see what happens next, especially in the upcoming few days. I want to thank you very much, Mr. Adim, for
00:13:30your contribution to our show. Ladies and gents, stay tuned, because next we're going to
00:13:34talk about how Yemen is breaking all the red
00:13:38lines.
00:14:08In the space of just one week, Yemen's armed forces and Ansarulah have delivered
00:14:12developments whose significance extends far beyond the
00:14:15battlefield, placing renewed pressure on the American Saudi
00:14:19strategy across the Red Sea and the wider region as Washington
00:14:23attempts to maintain military. and economic control from the Persian Gulf to
00:14:27Babel Bandib, Yemen is demonstrating that the old
00:14:30assumption of uncontested American and Saudi dominance may
00:14:34no longer survive the realities emerging on the ground. More
00:14:38details in the following
00:14:39report. In the
00:14:43space of just one week, Yemen's armed forces of Ansarullah have
00:14:46delivered series of developments that are rapidly reshaping the
00:14:50military and political map of West Asia. The significance the
00:14:54advance to words and control over strategic areas surrounding the
00:14:58port of Mokha goes beyond the battlefield itself.
00:15:01Mokha sits at one the most strategically sensitive gateways to the Red
00:15:05Sea and Babel Mandab, a maritime corridor connecting the
00:15:09Mediterranean and the Indian ocean. Control over this geography
00:15:13is therefore not merely a Yemeny military achievement, it is message
00:15:17directed at the entire American Saudi Axess. For
00:15:20years, Saudi Arabia, backed by American military power has attempted to
00:15:25impose its political will on Yemen through air strikes,
00:15:28blockades, proxies and economic pressure, yet the latest
00:15:31developments have once again exposed the limits of that strategy,
00:15:35hundreds of fighters aligned with The Saudi Let coalition reportedly
00:15:39surrendered with little resistance, while the Yemenide
00:15:43demonstrated that its objective is not endless internal
00:15:46conflict, but the defeat of foreign sponsored military projects
00:15:50inside Yemen, the larger picture is even more
00:15:53consequential. As Washington escalates pressure of war against the Islamic
00:15:57Republic of Iran and seeks to secure alternative energy and
00:16:01maritime routes, Yemen is demonstrating that Babel Mandib
00:16:04cannot be treated as an American controlled substitute. for the straight of
00:16:08hormos. In other words, the United States cannot simply squeeze
00:16:12Iran in the Persian Gulf while assuming that the red sea will
00:16:16remain permanently open, secure, and obedient.
00:16:20That strategic illusion is collapsing. What we are witnessing
00:16:24increasingly resembles regional remontada against decades
00:16:27of American influence and military Germany. From the
00:16:31Persian Gulf to the Red Sea, Washington is discovering that its military
00:16:35bases, naval deployments and Regional alliances no longer
00:16:39automatically translate into political control, and Saudi
00:16:43Arabia faces equally uncomfortable reality. Riyad can
00:16:46either recognize that the era of imposing its foreign policy through
00:16:50American protection and military coersion is coming to an
00:16:53end, or continue escalating until it risks losing what
00:16:57remains of its influence across the region. For Washington, the
00:17:01choices are becoming increasingly limited, a wider confrontation risks
00:17:05transforming regional pressure into a global... economic crisis,
00:17:08yet retreat carries its own political consequences, exposing the
00:17:12limits of American power before allies and
00:17:16adversaries alike. Yemen's message therefore, is larger
00:17:19than one battlefield, the region is changing and neither soaravia
00:17:23nor the United States of America appears capable of stopping that
00:17:27change its old
00:17:29terms.
00:17:35To discuss this issue with us from Beirot is Mr. Ali Zahry, Yemani
00:17:39broadcaster and political analyst. It's a pleasure having you
00:17:41with us, Mr. Ali in the studio. Now let us begin by looking at the
00:17:45broader strategic significance of Ansarullah's recent
00:17:49military achievements, particularly around Mokha and the
00:17:53approaches to Babelmip straight. To what extent has Yemen
00:17:56transformed from a country that was expected to be military defeated
00:18:00by Saudi Arabia and its allies into regional
00:18:03uh actor capable of actually directing
00:18:06influence.
00:18:39to exert influence over it. It already possessed the ability to project
00:18:43firepower from different parts of Yemeni territory. The clearest evidence
00:18:47was the escalation of its support operations, which eventually reached the point
00:18:51of effectively closing the port of Ilat through missile and drone
00:18:53attacks. So, although Sanart was geographically far from
00:18:57Babel Mandab, it already had fire control and strategic
00:19:00reach. Since the beginning the alaxa flood, the world has
00:19:04increasingly been forced to factor Yemen into its regional and international.
00:19:07calculations as serious and consequential actor. Even before any
00:19:11geographical move toward Bablemendab, Yemen was already capable of imposing
00:19:15naval blockade and today, exerting pressure on Saudi shipping.
00:19:19Reaching areas around Babel Mandab would therefore give Sona greater leverage,
00:19:22greater control and greater visibility, but it would fundamentally be an extension of
00:19:26a capability it already possesses. At the same time, Yemen has the
00:19:30sovereign right to exercise control over its own territory. This should not
00:19:34automatically be portrayed as a threat to international navigation. Sana is
00:19:38a state, not a criminal organization, and its actions should be understood
00:19:42within the context of its declared strategic objectives. The attempt to portray
00:19:45Yemen's presence around Babilmandab as some kind of catastrophe overlooks a basic
00:19:49reality. This is Yemeni geography, and Yemen has demonstrated that it
00:19:53can project power and impose maritime pressure from virtually any part of its
00:19:57territory. Well, uh, the United States of America appears to be pursuing right
00:20:01now a wider strategy of increasing pressure on the Islamic Republic of
00:20:05Iran while simultaneously trying. to just preserve
00:20:08alternative maritime and energy security routes through
00:20:12the uh red sea and through the babil mandab after losing the straight of
00:20:16hormoz, but now after these developments, how interconnected are
00:20:19the battlefields really in Yemen uh to the Red Sea to the Persian
00:20:23Gulf and possibly to South Lebanon to Gaza,
00:20:27I mean the wider war of aggression now against the Islamic
00:20:31Republic of Iran has taken a whole new level in the region, I
00:20:35think, what do you think?
00:20:50significant because for the first time the concept of coordinated military
00:20:54fronts was being translated into concrete action on the ground. Today,
00:20:57with eco control over the strategic maritime control over the strategic
00:21:01maritime passage, the battle takes a much greater dimension and carries
00:21:05major strategic significance. We have already seen the scale the impact when the
00:21:09Emmy armed forces imposed pressure on Saudi oil exports and maritime
00:21:13traffic. The repercussions were felt across global markets. Saudi
00:21:16Arabia had been relying its Red-Sea routs to export substantial quantities of
00:21:20oil and had also been preparing to increase those exports in order to compensate for
00:21:24any disruption affecting the flow of oil through the straight of hormos.
00:21:28Today, Saudi Arabia cannot export either its usual volumes or
00:21:32the additional quantities that it had intended to use as buffer. This
00:21:36is why the consequences are being felt across the markets. The mistake is to
00:21:39look at what is happening in Iran, Yemen and Lebanon as separate
00:21:43battles. They are one battle, even if
00:21:45they take place across different geographies and carry different headlines. The
00:21:49United States. needs to understand that the unity the fronts has created a broad
00:21:52challenge to the Israeli and american project. this requires different
00:21:56approach, not simply a military one. further escalation around the straight
00:22:00of Hormus or Babelmandap could ignite a much wilder fire, one that would
00:22:04not be confined to Yemen, Iran or Lebanon. We have already seen prices
00:22:08rise around the world. The United States itself is beginning to view this as
00:22:12losing battle. The clearest evidence is the impact on ordinary
00:22:15Americans pockets. When people wake up in the morning, drive to work and see the price
00:22:19of. at the gas station, that economic pr at the gas station, that
00:22:23economic pressure will eventually be reflected at the ballot is the midterm
00:22:26elections, the American voter may well see the attack on Iran as major
00:22:30strategic mistake. After all, when Washington and Tehran were
00:22:34sitting at the negotiating table, there was no need for such a
00:22:37confrontation. Instead, the decision to abandon that
00:22:41path and escalate has produced negative consequences. Eventually the
00:22:45American public will respond through the ballot box. What we are witnessing
00:22:49today. is one interconnected battle, the United States and its
00:22:52allies are moving to preserve forces are moving to reject that higem, forces are moving
00:22:56to reject that hegemers have demonstrated
00:22:59their ability to endures have demonstrated their ability endure and remain
00:23:02steadfast because they have lived under intense pressure for very long
00:23:05time. The real question is whether the other side, particularly the
00:23:09Persian Gulf states and the west, can withstand even more
00:23:12pressure. This is especially important as winter approaches and Europe
00:23:16faces growing energy and heating needs. The world therefore. to
00:23:20act, not simply to defend Yemen or Iran, but to defend its own
00:23:24interests and the principles of international law. It should pressure Trump to return
00:23:28to moral, rational course, rather than taking the United States and the
00:23:32world with it further down a path toward
00:23:33disaster. Well, you know, the kingdom of Saudi
00:23:37Arabia has spent billions of dollars on weaponizing the
00:23:41kingdom against the people the region, instead of actually
00:23:45protecting the people the region, but what's happening right now is
00:23:48something that I called? regional remontada by the Yemeni
00:23:52revolutionary resistance fighters, can
00:23:56this actually force eventually the kingdom of Saudi Arabia into
00:24:00changing its foreign policy, especially with Yemen,
00:24:04and maybe push it towards dependence from Washington and
00:24:08push it towards the uh, push it towards
00:24:11the uh literal lap of Zionist
00:24:14Israil.
00:24:18First of all, actually thank Saudi Arabia for helping to arm the Yemeni
00:24:22armed forces, albeit unintentionally. Even if Yemen had
00:24:26possessed vast financial resources and the ability to purchase
00:24:29weapons. There were certain systems that could not simply be supplied to Yemen,
00:24:33because the United States and western arms companies reserve particular weapons for their
00:24:37regional allies and partners. In that sense, Saudi Arabia ended up
00:24:41arming Yemen without realizing it. Through its aggression against Yemen, Saudi
00:24:45Arabia also strengthened Yemen in ways it never intended. The war created a
00:24:48powerful sense of national. resolve among Yemenis who refused to become anyone's
00:24:52instrument or accept aggression against their country. That aggression brought out the
00:24:56strongest quantities of Yemeni society, its resilience,
00:24:59determination, and ability to manufacture and develop weapons. Today,
00:25:03Yemen has acquired a formidable strategic arsenal, develop its capabilities on the
00:25:07ground and reached the Babelmandap. We are not threatening anyone, we
00:25:11are asserting sovereignty over geographical area that falls within Yemen's
00:25:14sovereign domain. Saudi Arabia, like the rest the world, needs
00:25:18to recognize the changes that taken place. Yemen was once treated as a
00:25:22secondary front and a marginal state. Today the entire world has to
00:25:26factor Yemen into its calculations. The question is whether Saudi Arabia is
00:25:30doing the same. Every time Sanat has called on the Ald to return to the road
00:25:33map,
00:25:34it is essentially offered the least costly option, return to good neighborly
00:25:38relations and a political solution based on equality and mutual respect.
00:25:42Instead of choosing solution that costts virtually nothing, Saudi Arabia has
00:25:45pursued alliances, agreements and greater reliance on American protection.
00:25:50Perhaps it should consider the alternative: Yemeni security a
00:25:54cost of zer dollars. Whenever calls for return to the right
00:25:57path, good neighborly relations and solutions based on mutual
00:26:01respect, Saudi Arab Arabia seems to interpret that position as a sign that
00:26:04Sanad is its weakest. The evidence suggests otherwise.
00:26:08Riad has repeatedly miscalculated. It made the right move in 2022
00:26:12when it agreed with san to reduce tensions. Negotiations continued for years and
00:26:16eventually produced road map. But Saudi Arabia
00:26:20made what we consider a grave strategic mistake when it returned to
00:26:24escalation. It should have understood that San was preparing precisely
00:26:28for this possibility. During the period surrounding the Alexa flood while
00:26:31Saudi. Arabia was underestimating Yemen, Sant was preparing and building
00:26:35its capabilities. Today, Saudi Arabia has entered extremely dangerous
00:26:39territory, and in our view, we'll
00:26:42pay very heavy price. Sana considers this an opportunity to force Saudi
00:26:45Arabia to reconsider its calculations and that opportunity, once
00:26:49presented, cannot simply be ignored. Definitely, and it's going
00:26:53to be very interesting to see how the leaders in the Kingdom of Saudi
00:26:57Arabia will take that approach, maybe they will be losing what they
00:27:01occupied like Jiizana.
00:27:02important very matter.
