00:00:01an obituary paper for the United Nations, when when
00:00:04something like this happens from the head of one
00:00:08of the world powers like Trump, he
00:00:12comes to the United Nations and he used it as a podium in
00:00:16order to direct
00:00:18accusations and
00:00:21direct threats of aniliation for
00:00:24very genuine civilized nation like
00:00:28Iran then this means... "we are towards the end
00:00:30of the world actually, and when we say
00:00:33this, we say this is the end
00:00:36of the United Nations itself, I believe they should have done something about
00:00:40it, they should have stopped him from doing this, but as we all know,
00:00:44this is Jungle low that is America and acting in the world,
00:00:47now we don't even have any decision of course on Israel when it
00:00:51comes to the genocide that is continuous up until now, let's look at the
00:00:55position
00:00:55of the Islamic Republic of Iran, now we saw of course the general assembly uh,
00:00:59there's of course." the
00:01:00of president
00:01:00of the Islamic Republic of Iran uh, but we it's quite
00:01:04symbolic, it seems as if Iran is standing its
00:01:07own, only of course with the very few
00:01:11resistance factions and some
00:01:13of the very few countries that have been
00:01:15of courageous enough to come out and speak against the tyrany and the hegemony
00:01:18of the US. Again, you you you're taking the words from my
00:01:22mouth, actually, this is what we should be talking about
00:01:25in and spreading the knowledge and consciousness among the people, if the
00:01:29if Iran, this the
00:01:32the the glorified Islamic Republic that has been fighting
00:01:35of and resisting
00:01:36of and defending since decades, you're talking more or less about almost
00:01:4050 years, I mean it's always
00:01:42under siege, Iran
00:01:45of is under siege, Iran
00:01:47of is surrounded with
00:01:49of sanctions, Iran is under aggression, Iran is under occupation
00:01:53of during of Saddam's era epoke, Iran is under continuous
00:01:56bombardment from the United States and its allies from
00:02:00Israel, yet it's only one country in the world that has
00:02:04been able to stand up to the American arrogance, American tryny,
00:02:08American Hegimony, and it has been able
00:02:10of to bring tangible results, concrete results that we
00:02:14of can all as peoples
00:02:19of of the world feel proud of, and it could be emulated as an exemplary model for all the people and the governments to do, if Iran
00:02:23alone was able to do this, what if we have a congregation,
00:02:27of a cluster of states or governments that really
00:02:29in believe? and the struggle against the hijony and against
00:02:32the
00:02:34a world arrogance represented, embodded, displayed by
00:02:37America,
00:02:38of so I believe the Iran has stood up with all proud
00:02:42and pride and grace
00:02:45of to face
00:02:46of this world tyranny, this arrogance, this occupation,
00:02:49this
00:02:51of aggression, and it has done this very
00:02:53of successfully, what's worth mentioning here is that now we are talking
00:02:57about more or less a complete harmony between the... Iranian leadership and the Iranian
00:03:01people, the Iranian people are wise, are intelligent, are
00:03:05smart, are
00:03:06of civilized, are learned, you're talking about people who understand
00:03:09what's really going on, because it's not only a war of bombs that is spreading
00:03:13around, we're talking about a war of lexicon, a war of
00:03:17consciousness, a war psychological warfare that is been
00:03:20waged, a war of terminology to call what's happening
00:03:24by its name, for example, mean who could
00:03:28imagine that
00:03:29in israel cannot be as an occupation as a
00:03:32genocidal state and it's being ruled
00:03:36by war by war criminals bunch of war
00:03:40of criminals, mean this is this is fact that is
00:03:43being it should the world should spread around
00:03:47and they are trying to mislead the people about
00:03:50of it, of they are trying to defend Israel, we have seen what
00:03:52happened, let alone that all
00:03:56of the attempts by them to if you want to to...
00:04:00wash make this brain wash for the people, they haven't been
00:04:04able to do it, and we have seen it was a scene by itself that
00:04:08many
00:04:08of the delegations, they wanted, they went
00:04:12out when war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu entered in
00:04:16order to deliver his
00:04:17a speech, so this is something very important, there is definitely growing hate
00:04:21of of in course inter on the international level, but what do you see happening right now, I
00:04:24mean it doesn't seem that no one there's no
00:04:26in impunity uh and we heard it even from countries like Jordan with... are
00:04:30allies with the US, they also have ties to Israel, uh,
00:04:34the the king of Geordan clearly said that
00:04:36of as of long as Israel is taking more land in Syria, and that is also
00:04:39a
00:04:40a clear example that it doesn't see anyone stopping it
00:04:43of and continues on that respect. what do you see happening? do you
00:04:47do you think that with of course with Trump's threats and at the same time
00:04:51talking about negotiations? Iran has clearly said it is ready for
00:04:55of negotiations, but at the same time
00:04:56it is ready to defend itself if there be any war against it so... what
00:05:00is it a 50/50 situation? are we looking at the possibility of a war, but at the
00:05:04same time the possibility of perhaps some sort of an agreement that could
00:05:08probably end the Israeli uh
00:05:11of despotism, which seems to be?
00:05:12this is this
00:05:14is this is very tough to predict actually, because you know when you follow
00:05:18the statements of Donald Trump,
00:05:22you have to always be alert and you have always to
00:05:25warn yourself, do I believe this or should I believe this or
00:05:29what's going to be say, what is he going to say next, actually, because at the same time
00:05:33while he's saying I'm going to wipe out a civilization, just
00:05:37imagine the word, imagine the terminology, I want to
00:05:40wipe out a whole civilization. who would say it's
00:05:43a condemnation for himself by himself actually that you want to
00:05:47wipe out the civilization who are you what where were you when the Iranian
00:05:51civil civilization extends 600 years back in the
00:05:55history deep in the history roots in the history when you come and
00:05:58threaten you're totally right here I want to commend and
00:06:02praise and congratulate the Iranian leadership and the Iranian people for
00:06:06their steadfastness for their
00:06:09patriotism and for their this deep sense of... of
00:06:12commitment and belonging to their own country and not being a brainwashed
00:06:16like others, mean in the whole world, they they they
00:06:20stand steadfast against the American threats while they say we're ready
00:06:24for negotiations, but it should be with full respect for the Iranian
00:06:28rights, you should lift the siege, you should stop this
00:06:32aggression, and more importantly Iran is emerging as
00:06:36a super regional power now, because it's only it's also
00:06:40not only looking for its own. It's more or
00:06:43less looking for the interests and here we're talking about basic
00:06:47interests of other people like Lebanon, like Iraq, like Yemen,
00:06:51they the Palestine, Gaza, they want to ensure that they are
00:06:55going to make deal which would include all the sector the resistance, all
00:06:59the access the resistance talking about the security the entire region
00:07:03as a whole, absolutely, because everybody knows that the Americans are going to
00:07:06go out, actually the Americans themselves know this, everybody knows
00:07:10this, it has
00:07:11been a very important. and very eloquent lesson for everybody that the
00:07:15Americans couldn't defend their own military bases in the
00:07:18Gulf in Jordan here and there and they couldn't defend the countries
00:07:22themselves so they have to make other calculations, I believe
00:07:26Iran has been able to push this to the forefront, so
00:07:29everybody, every government, every state, every
00:07:32kingdom, every emert, they should think profoundly and they should come out
00:07:36with conclusions that help in the rearrangement the
00:07:40region any. that ensure
00:07:44their safety, dignity, independence, but ensure as
00:07:48well that no American Hegemony will continue to extend. Of course, one the main
00:07:52allies of of Iran is Hizballah, let's talk a little bit about Hisballah, especially
00:07:55now we're coming with the second anniversary the the
00:07:59marterdom of Sayid Hasan Nasarlah, the the sayid of
00:08:03martters of course the entire nation, but you also have a whole line of
00:08:07commanders that was directly killed by Israel
00:08:10and that is of course it's part of its new policy. killing everyone
00:08:13and
00:08:14uh and also with the pagers attack and everything and everything that hizbullah and its
00:08:18society went through, hizballah was still standing, they fought in the 66
00:08:22day war, they fought in the last war as well and surprises of course
00:08:26the israelis with the FPV, but why has hazbillah stopped its resistance with the
00:08:29fact that we do have occupied territory? well, I have to
00:08:33remind you, if you dig deep down into the history of calculations
00:08:37of hizballah and how it works, how it functions, how it thinks, you
00:08:41will come with very... excellent and amazing examples, I can
00:08:44give you one very simple example, in the year 2001,
00:08:48this say the liberation day and we have you the
00:08:5225th of May we have the day of liberation and
00:08:55resistance here in Lebanon, it's a feast everybody knows
00:08:59about, I mean said nasrallah came himself and said we could
00:09:03have executed or we we could have launched daily
00:09:07operations against the occupation but he didn't, he used to call
00:09:10them thkiriya that we we carry operations of
00:09:14remembrance that we still have areas under
00:09:18occupation, but we don't want to go and fight just like tomorrow, the
00:09:22resistance in every country, the story of
00:09:25resistance, the history of resistance, it's sit and run, it's a gorilla
00:09:29warfare, it's not classical army that stands there to defend geography,
00:09:33and if it's breaking then it it is destroyed and it
00:09:37surrenders, the resistance forces, the people they
00:09:41never surrender. "certain governments have their own
00:09:44calculations, presidency, why the Iranian leadership,
00:09:48presidency, why the Iranian leadership is not surrendering, you know
00:09:51why? because there is a complete harmony, a
00:09:55complete fusion between the leadership and the people, they are all
00:09:59there, even now if the leadership takes any decision, the people
00:10:03will come on streets, we know this, here in Lebanon, the
00:10:06governments, because they are being dictated or they are being installed from outside,
00:10:10they don't listen to the people pulse." and what they are doing, I go, I go back
00:10:14to your question directly, why is since the
00:10:1827th or 27-eleven,
00:10:22when the government took control the whole thing, you know, uh, you're talking
00:10:25about 2024, exactly the first cease fire. we we
00:10:29had still continues, the government took the rain from
00:10:33there, and they are responsible for what happened, and what happened is that because they have
00:10:37kept saying this is a war, it's devastating, it's whatever, okay, we
00:10:40accepted the seasfire, so callalled seasfire or the sessation of
00:10:44hostilities, we said the government will take control, we
00:10:47have evacuated the south of litani just
00:10:51like what has been, we have we agreed upon. but
00:10:55the problem that happened is that the government and the army,
00:10:59they have never done anything in order to defend the people or to stop the Israely
00:11:03aggression, instead of arming the army in with good
00:11:07equipments, instead of giving them orders to defend, they
00:11:11are giving them orders to withdraw before the
00:11:14Israelis, when the israelis come and come forward, they would tell them
00:11:18evacuate this place and evacuate this place, so who should be asked
00:11:22about this is the government itself, not Hisballah, because "we accepted
00:11:26the ceasefire, we accepted the agreement and they
00:11:30took control after that, they were in charge and they are still in
00:11:33charge, this is one thing, the other thing, we talking about
00:11:36calculations, very fine calculations that has to do with the people and their
00:11:40percussions that might happen to the people, I believe these are two
00:11:44determinants of why Hizballah is not carrying operations now
00:11:48as they did before okay now of course addition to the
00:11:51resistance uh block of course we don't call it and" the
00:11:55the the political wing and and the military wing, but there is
00:11:59political representation within the parliament, and many are looking,
00:12:03people are angry at this framework agreement that was
00:12:06signed by the Lebanese government, of course it has its own narrative, its own
00:12:10reasons perhaps for that, maybe it is under pressure from the
00:12:14US and so on, but it went of course to the Israelis without
00:12:17any points of strength, why hasn't
00:12:20Hazbullah used their political leverage in the parliament, for example,
00:12:25and the vote of confidence that like many people were expecting that there would
00:12:28be, perhaps giving asking telling the government that we will not give
00:12:32you confidence very clearly because the fact that we have no
00:12:36trust in this government and how it is dealing with the issue the israel we have to understand
00:12:40when it comes to this agreement, the framework agreement or agreement
00:12:44the frame, this is not something that has been brought to the government, this
00:12:48is not something that has been brought to the parliament to be discussed or
00:12:52to be voted upon, then we're talking about another. think we're talking
00:12:55about the government and the working and the ongoings in in the
00:12:59government, of course we have very particular and
00:13:02very basic
00:13:03fundamental
00:13:07objections to what the government is doing, but we are part the government,
00:13:11if we want to withdraw the confidence, the vote confidence, if if we
00:13:15have to say no confidence for the government then we have to be out the
00:13:19government, this is we cannot, you cannot continue to
00:13:22be present at the government when you...
00:13:27and it's not time to resign from the government now and the and and the other thing is to give
00:13:31confidence, we cannot give confidence because because we have these fundamental
00:13:35objections, so what's what would you do, you would withdraw, this is what we, this
00:13:39is this is a position by itself, and I tell you
00:13:43hizballah we, I'm sorry to say this, I mean
00:13:46people have the right to cast their opinions and to say
00:13:50or to object, and we respect this totally, but there is a leadership that
00:13:54thinks... profoundly about these issues from different sides and they
00:13:58would come with a conclusion, the conclusion is that it's not time to resign from the
00:14:02government
00:14:04and for the sake the people themselves we see that it is
00:14:08still valid for us to continue to be there otherwise while
00:14:12the hizbillah the martyrdom the leaders, the martyrdom
00:14:15the leaders, so many leaders martydom of say
00:14:18hasanlah, the martyrdom of
00:14:21sayd hashim, the martyrdom of others, this is huge... a
00:14:25big price that you cannot replace it or
00:14:28you cannot trade it,
00:14:29you cannot exchange it for anything, not a government, not a ministry, not
00:14:33whatever, you're talking about decent,
00:14:36respectful chastity
00:14:40souls that can never be replaced, this is
00:14:43something that's totally engraved in
00:14:47our hearts and our souls, but tell you hizballah
00:14:51is a very reasonable and
00:14:53then a very convincing and very rational way is
00:14:56carrying out
00:14:57their actions and their activities and their decisions for the sake the public
00:15:01good and for the sake of course we saw that Hazballah of course one
00:15:04in the municipal elections and we're expecting of course that Hazballah continues to be representative
00:15:08the people
00:15:10but how did you how do you see Hazbullah did they differ
00:15:14did it differ anyway after the marridom of Sied Hasan Nasarlah after what
00:15:17many are saying is actually defeat the resistance
00:15:21although himself said that mark not. "we
00:15:25cannot, the word defeat should be excluded completely, it should be
00:15:28obliterated, it should be thrown away, it has nothing to do with our
00:15:32with our dictionary with whatever, we need to understand very important
00:15:36equation, when you..." surrender when you have no more determination or
00:15:40resolve then there is a problem. leaders have
00:15:44gun, but we have leaders. his excellency, his
00:15:47eminency, qasim
00:15:51is our secretary general, he is the leader now, he
00:15:55took the flag from the hands
00:15:58of allah, this is very
00:16:00courageous, you're talking about
00:16:03soul of martydom that is engraved there in the soul. in
00:16:07the heart and in the within of Sheikh Naim Qasim which
00:16:11we praise and which we compliment
00:16:15and hold the high dearly to our hearts, I mean one
00:16:19is the same applies to the people, I mean people and fighters
00:16:22and mujhidin and the resistance fighters who have been
00:16:26there, families, absolutely, we're talking about a whole
00:16:29community, a whole society of martidom
00:16:33and of struggling against the enemy, and I
00:16:36believe... we talk about defeat, defeat is not in our
00:16:40dictionary, it should not be used, we might have some losses
00:16:44here or there, and this is very normal, this is very usual,
00:16:48resistance is never being defeated, and ours
00:16:51is an exceptional among the resistances, that's why I
00:16:55believe, no, we are on the right course, we need to
00:16:59have patience, we need to have understanding, we need
00:17:02to have this wisdom of what's happening, and we have them all, inshallah, we
00:17:06have only to be... patient a little now there is
00:17:10huge storming the region and
00:17:13the of Lebanon, it would it would reach its speak and it will break
00:17:17down, we need only to be patient and things will be properly well inshallah
00:17:21inshallah, i want to just
00:17:24you know on the emotional level, when was the last time you met with sayid or
00:17:27sayd hashhim and what was it like at the beginning
00:17:30the the the wave of assassinations of
00:17:33leaders? look i mean uh...
00:17:37"we used to meet
00:17:39Sayid Nasarlah regularly, but not on short intervals to tell you the
00:17:43truth, because he's been engaged with his work heavily,
00:17:47we've been doing our things as well. Say Hashim, we
00:17:51used to meet him more frequently actually, because we used to work
00:17:55together in certain issues, I can tell
00:17:59you, we were there, I mean, I have always
00:18:02had this this feeling that we might lose them any time, because
00:18:06you're fighting the..." word arrogance, you're fighting criminals and the criminals
00:18:10who kill children, who wipe out families, who carry
00:18:14genocide just like that, as if they are drinking water, they can do it
00:18:17for real people who are fighting them, we know that we are fighting
00:18:21them, we know that we want to fight them, as long as they are
00:18:25carrying occupation, they are executing occupation,
00:18:28killing, occupying our land, taking
00:18:32our resources, we will, this is our normal
00:18:36right, that's why I believe there there is huge
00:18:39vacuum there in our hearts and our souls for the loss the
00:18:43leadership, but alhamdulillah it's always replaced when we
00:18:47have this determination, this resolve, this leadership represented
00:18:51by Sheikh Naim Qasim and this companions, his brothers who are in the
00:18:55leadership, I believe we are in the safe hands and inshallah we
00:18:59will continue to hold tight the message and
00:19:03the all the goals that have been installed by Said Nasrallah.
00:19:09and hopefully this is something will bring us closer to our victory and
00:19:13to our triumph, now of course
00:19:14the the genocide and was a warning signal uh the loss
00:19:18of and this martterdom, you're saying it's bringing us closer
00:19:22to the victory with this systematic destruction in south Lebanon, how do you see things
00:19:26evolving there, I mean how long can Hisbullah stand to
00:19:29watch of course what is happening, it's not standing to watch actually
00:19:33because I mean people they are patient here, they now... "for
00:19:37every segment of history there is a way to deal with the things, now
00:19:41we are patient, now we are preparing ourselves, now we are
00:19:45building up our capabilities on so many different
00:19:49levels, not to divide secrets or whatever,
00:19:52but I believe I mean as long as the Israeli threat continues, the
00:19:56Israeli occupation, the Israeli aggression, now a chance is being
00:20:00given to the uh Lebanese government and to
00:20:04the authorities, official authorities to do something about it." "otherwise
00:20:08it's the choice and the decision the people themselves, if you go and tell them,
00:20:12I want to surrender, I want to hold the white flag, they'll
00:20:16tell you you are committing high treason against our cause,
00:20:20against our case, against our marters, as long as we have
00:20:23marters then we have more reasons and more
00:20:27incentives to continue to fight actually, because we want
00:20:30to hold our country totally independent
00:20:34with dignity, with..." security with
00:20:38safety and intact. All right, well,
00:20:40of course, as we commemorate the marterdom of say and all the
00:20:44marters, I want to give my conolces once more to you
00:20:48and of course.
00:20:50here we
00:20:50have mixture
00:20:51of of different feelings, actually at one stage, at one end
00:20:55you feel this, you are proud of yourself that you
00:20:59belong to this resistance and to this party party
00:21:02hizbullah, because you have given the the the most
00:21:06noble souls ever, dedication, devotion for the
00:21:10cause, and then you believe we are on the right track,
00:21:14at the same time we are deeply enraged as much
00:21:17as we are deeply. have this grief
00:21:21and this sadness, but it it's not going to
00:21:25put us aback, it will give us more incentive to continue in
00:21:29order to reach the goals that they have always looked for
00:21:32tota inshallah, thank you, thank you very much Dr. Ibrahim Musa,
00:21:36we member of parliament and uh representing hizballah in the Lebanese
00:21:40Parliament, thank you all for being with us uh on this episode uh
00:21:44and this exclusive interview actually, take care for now, goodbye for now,
00:21:48stay on Press TV.
00:23:15from the Asian silk road to modern industry, east
00:23:18Azerbaijan has connected Iran with the
00:23:21world,
00:23:28with rich mineral resources, thriving industries and
00:23:31agriculture, and breath taking landscapes, historic sites
00:23:35and cultural heritage, what opportunities does this
00:23:38northwestern province offer to investors and
00:23:41travelers?
00:24:06Step into the cockpit of
00:24:07history:
00:24:12this documentary reveals how Iran's f4 fighters, once
00:24:16symbols of power, became the front line a brutal way.
00:24:23war witness the courage, sacrifice and survival against
00:24:27impossible
00:24:28arts.
00:24:44For more than three decades, Iran's military doctrine
00:24:48rested on one simple: principle, strategic patience
00:24:52and retaliatory deterrence, nation still bearing the scars of
00:24:55eight-year imposed war, preferd to deter aggression through
00:24:59a network of defensive capability rather than
00:25:03direct confrontation, but today the page has
00:25:06turned. And this is a
00:25:09nutshell.
00:25:36To understand this shift, we have to go back to the roots of Iran's
00:25:39defensive doctrine, the eight-year war that Iraq
00:25:43trend, the eight-year war that Iraq backed by western powers
00:25:47imposed on Iran and military thinking. From that
00:25:50point on, Iran adopted a policy of passive defense, and
00:25:54later mosaic defense, an approach built on dispersing
00:25:58military capability, preserving territorial integrity and
00:26:02generate. the turns through the threat of retaliation rather
00:26:05than first strikes. the backbone of this defensive doctrine
00:26:09was Iran's missile program. the experience of Iraqi missile strikes on
00:26:13Iranian cities convinced Tehran that missile capability had to sit
00:26:17at the heart of its deterrant strategy. alongside that, combat drones,
00:26:21asymmetrical naval assets like fast attack crafts and sea mines in the
00:26:25Persian Gulf, and a network of regional resistance forces across West
00:26:29Asia became the tools that made any aggression against on
00:26:32prohibitively costly, without direct engagement. This approach
00:26:36relied on deterrance through the threat of retaliation, not
00:26:39preemption. But the 12-day war in 2025 and the
00:26:4340-day war that began in February of 2026, permanently
00:26:47changed that equation. Iranian commanders have
00:26:50explicitly stated that the country's doctrine is shifting
00:26:54from defensive to offensive. Army spokesman, brigadier general
00:26:58Muhammad Akraminia made clear that this shift has occurred gradually.
00:27:02the course these two most recent wars, muhammad, advisor to the
00:27:06IRG commander and chief, also emphasized that Iranian forces must be
00:27:10ready to take operations into enemy territory whenever conditions
00:27:13demanded rather than simply waiting to absorb a strike. the leader the
00:27:17Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei institutionalized this
00:27:21transformation by appointing experienced commanders such as brigadier
00:27:25general Ahmad Wahidi to lead the IRGC, tasking them with
00:27:28strengthening deterrance through powerful offensive operations.
00:27:33The difference between these two doctrines lies exactly here:
00:27:37defensive doctrine waits to absorb a blow before
00:27:41retaliating, while an offensive doctrine allows Iran to
00:27:45neutralize a threat before it ever reaches execution.
00:27:48Under this new doctrine, Iran's response to any aggression will not only
00:27:52be faster, but will exceed the scale the original attack. A practical
00:27:56example of this approach was Iran's strike on the US base in Jordan
00:28:00carried out before Washington formly. point Israel's assault an action Iranian
00:28:04commanders cite as a model of preemptive operations. This approach has pulled
00:28:08the axis of resistance out of purely reactive posture and turn it
00:28:12into actor capable of shaping the battlefield in advance. What we
00:28:16are witnessing here is not merely a change in weaponry, it is a
00:28:20complete redefinition of Iran's position in the balance of
00:28:23power across West Asia. The era when Iran simply held
00:28:27its borders is over. Today, any act of aggression against
00:28:31Iranian sovereignty. will draw a response that extends
00:28:34well beyond those borders, clear message to Washington and
00:28:38Tel Aviv that the age of hit and run is not
00:28:42returning.
00:30:04The headlines, Iran's armed forces spokesman warns the US
00:30:08and
00:30:09desburdy regime that if they make another miscalculation, the Islamic
00:30:12Republic's response will be stronger and more
00:30:15extensive. Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez
00:30:18rejects unilateral coersive measures and intimidation,
00:30:22saying the law the jungle cannot be humanity's
00:30:25future. And
00:30:29Hamos's political bureau chief says the group will continue. to resist
00:30:33this freny occupation and defend palestinians using all
00:30:36legitimate means and
00:30:37tools.
