00:23:07the holy religion of Islam and see
00:23:10that monotheism means reaching the worship of Allah,
00:23:13this monotheism frees us from all forms of slavery.
00:23:17When we say it frees us from slavery, let's have a general
00:23:21assessment of how slavery prevails in humanity
00:23:24and how Islam, or monotheism, frees
00:23:28people from that slavery. When
00:23:31we evaluate human society, we see that sometimes
00:23:34people were slaves to other humans. Sometimes people were slaves
00:23:38to ideas, to ignorant thoughts, to prejudice, to
00:23:42deviant thoughts, and to the worship of others
00:23:45than Allah. And on this side, some people
00:24:07came to monotheism, or dear Islam came. When it guided people
00:24:10to monotheism, the great achievement of
00:24:14dear Islam was that you humans should move from the worship of creation
00:24:18to the Creator. Move towards
00:24:22monotheism. Choose this path. Here, dear
00:24:25professor, the first point that is worth discussing
00:24:28is that we see that all the wealth
00:24:31of a Muslim, who is a wealthy merchant, is spent
00:24:34on freeing slaves. For example, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah
00:24:38be pleased with him, was a merchant who, according to scholars, had more than
00:24:4246,000 dinars. He kept 5,000 dinars
00:24:45out of his 46,000 dinars for his journey to migration.
00:24:49For the migration to Medina, he took 40,000
00:24:53dinars from this, bought slaves, freed Bilal,
00:24:57freed Ammar, and freed other slaves. On this side,
00:25:01this monotheism, which comes, frees apparent slaves
00:25:04and also frees internal slaves. Those who believed
00:25:08that idols were worthy of respect, bowed to idols, and those who came
00:25:11and saw their interests in the hands of certain individuals, and followed
00:25:15them, it was monotheism that led them to the true
00:25:19worship of Allah.
00:25:50It removed or lifted what?
00:25:53It removed the heavy burdens, restrictions,
00:25:57and chains that they were bound by. All these
00:26:01chains.
00:26:32When we come to answer the question of doubt
00:26:36from this, or the doubts that have arisen from these,

00:26:43and presented the principles of freedom here, the principles of liberation
00:26:46from bondage. And how did it present them? We see that when the Prophet Muhammad, peace
00:26:50be upon him, came, his command was this: any slave
00:26:54who teaches ten people to read and write is free. And on this side, in
00:26:58dear Islam, whoever makes a mistake during the holy month of Ramadan,
00:27:01that is, breaks his fast, his atonement is to free a slave.
00:27:04Whoever takes an oath and wants to break it,
00:27:07his atonement is to free a slave. Whoever commits a Zihar,
00:27:11meaning he likens his wife to one of his forbidden relatives,
00:27:14his atonement is to free a slave.
00:27:17And on this side, in accidental killing, whoever commits it,
00:27:20his atonement is to free a slave. And dear Islam
00:27:24says that even in very difficult circumstances,
00:27:27if Muslims fight with disbelievers and are in confrontation,
00:27:31they take slaves.
00:28:02It was dear Islam that destroyed it in the framework of monotheism. We have about two minutes
00:28:06left. I want to ask you a couple of questions.
00:28:09How does Islam recognize and protect human freedom
00:28:13and liberty? Yes, the fundamental principle, dear
00:28:16professor, in Islam is freedom. Allah says,
00:28:20"In your life, you are not indebted to anyone." For the sake of living,
00:28:24do not be enslaved by any nation, any tribe, or any people.
00:28:27Because your life, your existence, your death,
00:28:30or the countries of disbelief,
00:29:02do not do it because Allah clearly
00:29:06and explicitly says,
00:29:09"Allah is the One Who provides."
00:29:12Millions upon millions of creatures exist in this galaxy
00:29:16and universe. Does that human, who is
00:29:19the noblest of creatures, not have a livelihood from Him? Yes, it is recorded.
00:29:23It is clear, because Allah
00:29:24says,
00:29:29"There is no creature on earth but that Allah provides for it."
