00:01:44with breaking news, as
00:01:46of elections are underway across Russia on the third and final day of
00:01:49voting. The nation's air defenses have repelled the heaviest drone
00:01:53of attack
00:01:53of the war so far, involving 1,600
00:01:57UAVs. The capital itself faced a... huge
00:02:00of drone swarm, according to the city's mayor. The most
00:02:04massive enemy drone attack has been repelled since yesterday. Over
00:02:08a 1,600 UAVs have been shot down across all
00:02:11sectors, including
00:02:13of 450 while approaching Moscow. My thanks go to the air defense
00:02:17personnel for their selfless efforts. Nevertheless, few drones
00:02:20reached the Moscow Oil refinery and one struck
00:02:23a residential building. There were no fatalities. This
00:02:27unprecedented attack
00:02:28of was clearly orchestrated to disrupt the elections, the enemy failed in
00:02:32this attempt. well
00:02:35to get more on this breaking news story, now we're going to cross live to RT correspondent
00:02:39Isabella Blumberg. Isabella, Kiev has carried out a large-scale
00:02:43attack on Moscow and the Moscow region, as we just mentioned in the
00:02:46program. what do we know so far in terms of
00:02:48details?
00:02:52thank you Donald, well as you've mentioned overnight, Moscow and the
00:02:56nearby regions came under direct attack from Ukrainian t
00:03:00and all of this happening in the middle of elections, now the
00:03:04of re the Moscow region governor
00:03:05of reports that air defense systems were able to intercept
00:03:08240 drones across 17 different
00:03:12of districts, but the numbers are even higher once you zoom out here, because
00:03:16Moscow's mayor says
00:03:18in that
00:03:18in almost uh around 450 drones were also intercepted,
00:03:22those drones were apparently headed to Moscow to the
00:03:25of Russian capital, the same time Russia's Ministry of Defense has reported that they were
00:03:29' to intercept and destroy over
00:03:321,100 drones and aerial targets there as
00:03:35well. In terms of casualties, in Moscow and the surrounding
00:03:39region, two
00:03:40of people have been
00:03:41of killed and 20 people now require medical assistance,
00:03:45including three children. Officials say that a man in
00:03:48of Aria and
00:03:50of woman in Raminski were also killed, and the central electoral commission
00:03:54authorities
00:03:55of report that during today's massive drone attack, member
00:03:59of the election commission was injured as
00:04:01well.
00:04:05Today, September 20th, as
00:04:07a result of a targeted drone attack a civilian bus in the Carson region,
00:04:11two people were killed. One
00:04:13of the victims was our colleague Olga Petrovna
00:04:15of Damianyenko, born in 1966, member
00:04:17of the precinct electoral commission for polling station number 220 in the
00:04:21lower Saragor district
00:04:22of the Carson region. Olga Petrovna was a member
00:04:25of the presenct electoral
00:04:27of commission for 2023 and actively participated.
00:04:30in the current election campaign for the state dumer elections, engaging with many of her
00:04:34neighbors, fellow citizens and compatriots, while honestly, responsibly and
00:04:37bravely fulfilling her duties. she was involved in conducting early voting in
00:04:41the lower Saragor district
00:04:43of the Kerson
00:04:43in region. her
00:04:44a daughter, elena Petrovna, is also member
00:04:46of the precinct electoral commission. as i mentioned before, i will repeat it once
00:04:50more, despicable, cowardly bandera scum who are afraid to fight like
00:04:54of men of and truly engage in warfare, target our peaceful people, primarily women and
00:04:58children. i believe that will fall upon them and each one
00:05:01of them will be found. our strong spirited colleagues continue to
00:05:07of work. at the same time moscow's mayorban says
00:05:10that thankfully there have been no deaths but that... drones have managed to get through
00:05:14and attack a Moscow oil refinery, another drone managed to reach
00:05:18residential building in Moscow as well. now the attack also led to a
00:05:22temporary closure of all four Moscow airports and at the same
00:05:25time Russia's Mod reports that it targeted and destroyed Ukrainian
00:05:29military infrastructure, particularly in the black sea port, in the
00:05:33Kiev region, in the Odessa region and uh
00:05:36specifically targeting warehouses and vessels that carrying Ukrainian
00:05:40military equipment. Well,
00:05:44this also comes of course, as the third and final day the State Duma
00:05:48Elections is kicked off already in Russia. What else can you tell us about
00:05:52that? Absolutely Don,
00:05:56well today across 11 different time zones in Russia.
00:05:59Voters are heading to the poles to vote for the third and final day of
00:06:03Russia's parliamentary elections. Now polling stations are open
00:06:07nationwide with the central electoral commission reporting that
00:06:11voter turn now is now. reaching almost 47 to
00:06:1448%. now it's quite important to highlight here that
00:06:18these elections are the first ones we've seen since the start the special military
00:06:22operation which was launched back in February 2022 and for
00:06:26the first time in modern Russian history we're seeing uh people citizens
00:06:30from the Doñatsk Lugansk People's Republic from Herson and Zaparogia cast their
00:06:33vote and ballot as Russian citizens. let me break down
00:06:37how the these parliamentary elections actually work. the state doomer
00:06:41forms the lower chamber of Federal assembly, it consists of
00:06:44400 seats. These elections take place every five years,
00:06:48225 seats are determined and distributed through party
00:06:52lists. Now what that means is that voters are able to select a a
00:06:56specific political party, the other 225 seats are
00:07:00distributed through a single mandate district, so that's when voters are able
00:07:04to pick a specific candidate in their constituency or
00:07:08district, and for a political party to actually reach
00:07:12the... doomer has to meet this 5% threshhold and of
00:07:15course voting takes day for takes three days instead of this traditional
00:07:19one day window to make um voting more accessible for Russian
00:07:23citizens. In terms of who's um buying for seats here,
00:07:27there are 10 political parties on the federal ballot. The first one
00:07:31being United Russia, a party founded in 2001, and a party that
00:07:35has enjoyed constitutional majority and it's also considered president Putin's
00:07:38party. Then we also have the communist party the Russian Federation. It's
00:07:42traditionally considered the oldest political party in the ballot.
00:07:46We have a Just Russia. Paul suggests that they will be able to meet the
00:07:505% threshold during these parliamentary elections. Uh, then we have
00:07:53the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, now chaired by Leonid
00:07:57Slotsky. And of course we have um a relatively new party
00:08:01here on the scene, this being uh new people, a party founded in
00:08:052020, and curiously,
00:08:07it managed to also pass through to
00:08:09the Duma, acquiring the 5% during the previous 2021. elections
00:08:13as well, then we also have five non-parliamentary parties on the
00:08:16ballot, this being the pensionist party, the greens, rodina,
00:08:20communists of Russia as well as the party of direct
00:08:23democracy, so to wrap up as we know poll's closed
00:08:27tonight uh, local time across Russia's western regions,
00:08:31but to discuss this vote further, I'm joined by Jackson Hinkel, an
00:08:35American political commentator and host the legitimate
00:08:39Targets broadcast. Thank you so much for joining us here today, thank you.
00:08:42so Moscow's mayor has said that this uh this the capital has come
00:08:46under this barrage of drones, this significant drone attack,
00:08:50and obviously this is being planned against the backdrop these elections. what is your
00:08:54reaction to this? it's just terrorism. mean it's an
00:08:58effort to try and stifle the voter
00:09:01participation, to make people think twice about who they're voting
00:09:05for,
00:09:06but we've seen this time and time again, we see Zelinsky and his
00:09:09terrorist crooks try escalate this conflict. "and low and
00:09:13behold, each and every time we see Russia respond in very meaningful
00:09:17way on military and energy infrastructure, I think is going to be
00:09:21coming up soon, and then you have Zelinski crying, why cry
00:09:25when you're the one that started this? I mean absolutely,
00:09:27and also kind of uh brings this other point because
00:09:31Mosco's says that uh these Ukrainian drone
00:09:34attacks managed to reach this moscow oil refinery, but this also comes as Donald
00:09:38Trump has called on Zelensky and Kiev to stop to halt a..." tax
00:09:42on energy infrastructure, so why is Zelensky actively going against
00:09:46Washington here? oh, it's a good question, I thought the same thing when
00:09:50I first saw the news and it's definitely not going to help these diesel prices
00:09:54in America, and it's it's crisis right
00:09:58now in America and in Europe as well, with their gas
00:10:01and uh oil reserves running very low, Saudi Arabia obviously can't
00:10:05export any oil to Europe at this point in time, so the idea that
00:10:09Zinsky is doing this when he knows he's going to be invited.
00:10:13Russian attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, none
00:10:17of it makes sense, but you could say that about lot the decisions that we've seen
00:10:21from Zelinsky since this
00:10:23SMO began. I think... quite hard to ignore that Russia and
00:10:27authorities are holding these parliamentary elections amid the special
00:10:31military operation, this war, but on the flip side we have Vladimir Zelensky
00:10:34who continuously refuses to hold elections in Ukraine. Why do you think that's the
00:10:38case? Well, I think it's the case, because he he would
00:10:42lose, he'd lose. Everyone understands this, everyone understands
00:10:46in Ukraine that he's extremely corrupt, they're very upset with uh
00:10:50some the changes that we've seen even recently in Ukraine's
00:10:53military infrastructure. with uh federov being replaced, there's
00:10:57protests in the streets, everyone understands in Ukraine that this needs to come to an
00:11:01end, it's not serving any good purpose for the people of
00:11:05Ukraine, and well I don't think that there's any leaders in
00:11:08Ukraine right now who are willing to take that stand, they know that
00:11:12Zelinski definitely is not going to lead them down that path. you quite
00:11:15curiously mentioned field off here because initially the west kind of
00:11:18uh kind of showed him in this picture that he was you
00:11:22know this revolutionary guy. uh trying to put
00:11:26forward the new tech to to develop drone
00:11:30production and what not, but now ever since he's outright called on
00:11:34zelensky to hold elections, the west seems to have turned on him and say that he's a western
00:11:38puppet, sorry cramland puppet, why do you think the shift
00:11:41narrative? i think because in
00:11:45the west if Zelinski is gone they probably want Zelujin,
00:11:49the Ukrainian ambassador to the UK to lead the country,
00:11:53and there's been so much money put into propping up solugini and
00:11:57federov kind of came out of nowhere and for some reason he uh he
00:12:00resonated with the Ukrainian some some sex the Ukrainian people obviously
00:12:04the majority the Ukrainian people don't want this to continue uh
00:12:08but I think there's just so much money involved there making trillions and
00:12:12trillions of dollars and for what what what is that
00:12:16money going to be worth when they're sitting in the deepest pits of hell I i don't
00:12:19know uh the Russian electoral commission had said Kiev strike on
00:12:23the Hasson region killed. member the local electoral
00:12:27committee, why do
00:12:28you think Kiev is taking aim at an election committee members in
00:12:32these new territories? well they're trying to make voters in
00:12:36these new territories fearful of participating in the democratic
00:12:39process. guess uh Zelinski feels as though they
00:12:42shouldn't be able to vote at all whether for you know Russian
00:12:46elections or Ukrainian elections because he refuses to still hold them for
00:12:50his people in his country, but um it obviously hasn't been
00:12:53successful, we've seen very... high voter turnout in the new
00:12:56territories, and uh, I, I think it goes without saying
00:13:00that people there feel proud and uh, they have a sense of honor to
00:13:04participate in these elections after being disrespected by the authorities
00:13:08in Kieve for so many years. Zelensky listed the
00:13:12UAVs and missiles key have used in this latest enslot on
00:13:15Russia, some of which are obviously funded by the west, while others are co-produced
00:13:19with with the western arm manufacturers. What do you really
00:13:23make of that? I think that everything that Ukraine is doing right now
00:13:27is at the behest of Europe of course, but also lot these
00:13:31operations are being let up by the CIA and John Ratcliff. We've
00:13:35seen since John Radcliff came into power as the director the CIA, he's
00:13:38more than doubled the CIA personnel active in
00:13:42Ukraine, so that begs the question, uh, why does Trump
00:13:46keep acting as though he wants peace with Russia if he's escalating
00:13:50this conflict? Uh, why are they introducing these new Russia Iran
00:13:53sanctions and?
00:13:55ending of Lindsay, I don't think that Trump is
00:13:58serious at this
00:13:59all about conflict, I think it's a big fake out. These uh,
00:14:03effectively the first parliamentary elections we're seeing since the start
00:14:06the conflict, what do you think voters are looking for
00:14:09now? I think they're looking for
00:14:13members the duma who are going to address
00:14:17whatever, economic issues, they they feel maybe in their
00:14:20own homes, maybe providing more economic support to families across.
00:14:25Russia, but also I think they're looking for leaders who are
00:14:29going to punish you know the western parties that are responsible for this
00:14:32conflict, the terrorist actions that we're seeing today uh in and around
00:14:36Moscow, and I think they're going to favor very hardline uh leaders
00:14:40in the Duma who are going to fight the western powers. Absolutely,

00:16:08Yesterday and the day before, leaflets were dropped by drones
00:16:12across most of our region, containing calls to block the
00:16:15electoral process and urging people not to participate in the
00:16:19elections. Every day we are seeing a steady stream of two or
00:16:23three disinformation campaigns coming from the Ukrainian side,
00:16:27along with deep fakes and forged administrative documents,
00:16:30yet few are afraid, people are used to
00:16:34drones and missiles, verbal threats. no
00:16:38longer carry the same weight. tell me, have you been
00:16:42intimidated? did Zelensky threaten you saying you shouldn't go to
00:16:45these elections? in no way, he can't do
00:16:49anything. of course not. generally speaking, it is
00:16:53very difficult to intimidate me, it's just not in my nature.
00:16:57god forbid. firstly, i don't recognize the landscate all, and i

00:17:16environment where people are actively being threatened,
00:17:20where electoral officials are receiving death threats, their
00:17:24families, their children, but with every vote cast in
00:17:28the don bass, the people the donbas
00:17:31show that those threats don't scare
00:17:35them, not even strongly word. and statements
00:17:38and condemnation could stop these
00:17:41elections. At today's meeting, the central electoral commission
00:17:45adopted resolution declaring that the organization and conduct of elections
00:17:49for deputies to the state Duma the Russian Federation in the temporarily
00:17:52occupied territories of Ukraine are illegitimate. It is, of
00:17:56course, ironic that Ukraine forbids Ukrainians
00:18:00from voting in these Russian elections, because
00:18:04neither does it allow Ukrainians themselves and
00:18:07elections, they're too dangerous, says the former
00:18:11president of Ukraine. Elections as such are
00:18:15huge risk. Elections right now are a tsunami which could split
00:18:18Ukraine. Again, the irony: Ukraine professes
00:18:22to be fighting for freedom and democracy, but says
00:18:25elections are too dangerous. Russia, which Kiev
00:18:29accuses of aggression and tyrany, holds elections even
00:18:33in war. He's holding elections in September. needs
00:18:37a united society that will support his united Russia.
00:18:41Zelensky, on the other hand, doesn't need his society
00:18:45support, his term expired two years ago,
00:18:49and no one can do anything about it. He already
00:18:52controls all Ukrainian media, all newspapers
00:18:56and online publications, full spectrum
00:19:00propaganda. Anyone who criticizes him can be
00:19:03sanctioned, Ukrainian or otherwise, else.
00:19:07a one way trip to the front lines, so
00:19:11elections, you want elections as ready to do it tomorrow, but if
00:19:15we have the war, it's you can't do it, what elections, how
00:19:19to make elections with the 9 million people who are abroad, and what to
00:19:23do with the people who are temporary or live
00:19:27in temporary occupied territories, europe of course
00:19:31will bend over backwards to accommodate
00:19:34Zelensky, the EU's diplomatic
00:19:38figure head is never one to overthink it,
00:19:42simple and cliche is her style. Putin hasn't
00:19:45had elections or Russia hasn't had elections in 25
00:19:49years. Zelensky is elected leader,
00:19:52elected in the free and fair elections and of course during the
00:19:56wartime you can't have elections. Zelensky's corrupt
00:20:00ministers, his army heads simply don't
00:20:03mind. So long as the EU supports Zelensky.
00:20:07the aid money pours in and it can
00:20:11be divided up and shared around between
00:20:14friends. the only concern is the people of
00:20:18Ukraine forced brutally to fight a war
00:20:21they don't want to fight in, by a president they don't
00:20:25want, blasted by propaganda, they don't agree
00:20:29with, and there's nothing they can do about it,
00:20:33but daydream. we must find a legal, safe and realistic
00:20:36mechanism. that will allow Ukraine to restore a full-fledged democratic
00:20:40process even under the conditions of a prolonged war. This is
00:20:44difficult. We must guarantee the right to vote for our military, for millions of
00:20:48Ukrainians abroad, and for the... in the frontline regions, we
00:20:52must ensure the security the electoral process, the independence of
00:20:55institutions and trust in the results. if Russia could do
00:20:59it, then so could Ukraine, and the only thing
00:21:03stopping elections in Ukraine is the former president,
00:21:07one Zelensky who just doesn't
00:21:11want to
00:21:11leave.
00:21:16a country that stretches 11 time zones and has over
00:21:20110 million voters, organizing nationwide vote is
00:21:24no mean feat. Here's a breakdown of how the world's biggest
00:21:27country in the world is handling the election
00:21:30process.
00:23:26"Well, it may be the last day of voting, but there's still a way, there's still a
00:23:30way to go before we know who will actually represent this vast country in
00:23:34parliament for the next five years. The first preliminary results will

00:24:04protest a US Venezuela oil deal, which they believe
00:24:07threatens their country's sovereignty. Estamos

00:24:15bodies to condemn the handing over of our resources. We've not given them
00:24:18away neither to. american people, nor much less to Trump, we
00:24:22have given nothing away. The Venezuelan people are saying that the oil belongs to us

00:24:29sovereignty. We reject this agreement because it
00:24:33represents a surrender of sovereignty, a surrender of national wealth

00:24:48imperialism in particular. The deal announced by the White
00:24:52House last month grants the US access to 65
00:24:56billion barrels of oil in Venezuela through a private
00:24:59firm in which the Pentagon holds a 35% stake
00:25:03via a parent company. As part the agreement, the US will get
00:25:0720% of Venezuelan oil production at
00:25:10cost. Washington's also removed Karacas
00:25:14from its drug trafficking list for the first time in over 20
00:25:17years. The White House cites what it calls. positive steps by
00:25:21the interim government, which came to power after US forces
00:25:24abducted the Venezuelan president, Nicholas Maduro and his wife
00:25:28and brought them
00:25:29to the US to face federal narcoterrorism charges.
00:25:32Washington has long claimed that Maduro himself was behind the South
00:25:36American country's drug trafficking
00:25:39network. Maduro's reign of terror
00:25:42continues. He is one the largest narcotraffikers
00:25:46in the world and a threat to our national.

00:26:36red-handed smuggling um cocaine into self central
00:26:40Los Angeles, there was an entire congressional inquiry led by former
00:26:44presidential candidate John Kerry in 1986,
00:26:48so this is a politicized decision, everything has changed
00:26:52in Venezuela since January 3rd, uh Delsey
00:26:55Rodriguez and Diostalo Cavillo in this uh quote-unquote
00:26:59Boulevarian leadership with a gun to their... had felt like they
00:27:03had other options and they've now complied uh,
00:27:06whatever the Trump administration, whatever the class of epsteen

00:27:21100-year proporter deal um for
00:27:24Venezuela's oil to come into the

00:27:31massive defense deal, was also on the table between Washington and
00:27:34Riad. The State Department has officially approved deal regarding the
00:27:38sale of F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. It's an
00:27:42agreement that's valued at over $24 billion dollars and it
00:27:46represents a significant expansion the kingdom's advanced
00:27:49military capabilities. The US Department of State
00:27:53has made determination approving a possible foreign military
00:27:57sale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their purchase of F-35
00:28:01Lightning 2 joint strike. fighter and related equipment, the
00:28:04estimated total cost is $24.3
00:28:07billion. Earlier we spoke with a former
00:28:10US air force lieutenant colonel who told us that the US is selling
00:28:14solution to a problem that it itself
00:28:17created. First off, you can't conquer a country with airpower
00:28:21alone, that is well-known. The United States likes to ignore
00:28:25that because we have uh, what we call air superiority everywhere, we
00:28:29say, can you achieve objectives with the F-30? five not

00:28:37own territory and have uh developed
