00:00:00enumerated
00:00:03of of
00:00:04of in of of like of family bonds or traditional culture, and the question is, can they to be bridged? well, to
00:00:07in discuss that I'm now joined by Cheska
00:00:09in Gonzales, in a Filipino
00:00:10of of in
00:00:14a of of of of entrepreneur, of pilot, advocate of female empowerment and mother of two.
00:00:16of Cheska, it's great to talk to
00:00:20of of of a you. Thank you very much for your time. Thank you of for of having of me. I
00:00:20me heard you say
00:00:21of me in another interview that your
00:00:23of in professional pursuit of success
00:00:24of in of started of with your becoming
00:00:28of of teenage mom, facing certain stigma and wanting to prove to your parents. that you can be
00:00:32of something of other of than a mom, and
00:00:36of in of you've been quite of successful at
00:00:39of of that, but I do want to start with the motherhood of part, of why a do of of you think raising another human being or two in your
00:00:42case not seem
00:00:45of of to count as life
00:00:49of of enough of life achievement? it is a life
00:00:49of of of achievement for me,
00:00:50of honestly if they weren't here, i wouldn't probably be here
00:00:54of as well, and they were really my
00:00:56of inspiration, you know, but mean in the
00:00:59of Philippines or... in the world as
00:01:01in well, during the time when i gave birth at 16, they were
00:01:05judging
00:01:06of of me
00:01:07of of so of much of to point that um they
00:01:08a thought of that a my of life of would of be
00:01:13of of this, of so my family is very supportive, but you know
00:01:17of of my parents were initially also a bit scared of my future because
00:01:18of i
00:01:21a of gave birth at 16 and of so when when that happened i
00:01:23of thought to myself, you know what, it's
00:01:25of
00:01:25in not of because of
00:01:26i of want to prove everyone wrong, i want to prove
00:01:28of myself
00:01:28of wrong that... "even if I am
00:01:31not, you
00:01:32of know, of
00:01:33of I, I gave birth at
00:01:37of of such of early of age, it's it will not be an hindrance to
00:01:38in anything,
00:01:39in and besides, I've been talking to lot of um, young moms as well
00:01:43of before, and
00:01:44of it of just feels
00:01:45a so of sad that you know, for them it feels like it's the end
00:01:48a of the world, and for me I
00:01:50of felt like it
00:01:51of was the
00:01:51of beginning of something
00:01:53of great, and
00:01:53of so of you mentioned the Philippines and I think your your country
00:01:57of deeper
00:01:58of than of
00:01:58of perhaps many other nations." faces this question of what
00:02:02life
00:02:02of success, of uh,
00:02:04of parenting, support, love truly mean, because there are lots and lots of women
00:02:08of who of give
00:02:08of birth of a fairly young age, and there are
00:02:12of also many
00:02:14of of women who have to leave their children behind and
00:02:15of go abroad, yes, for work, i think it's more than two
00:02:19of million uh who do that,
00:02:21of and uh, that often means leaving their kids, especially when they're
00:02:25of young
00:02:25of behind, of of
00:02:26of and of you know, that's that's not an easy choice, and it all...
00:02:30of has its
00:02:31in own
00:02:34in of of consequences, of um, what's your what are your overall feeling about this?
00:02:38personally,
00:02:39in
00:02:40of of of of I feel of like of it's of of a necessity of for the Philippines, because
00:02:43of in the Philippines the the
00:02:46of rate of you,
00:02:49me a of the of the
00:02:51of salaries of is of really not enough for the family,
00:02:55of of a especially if of you're you have a college of student or a high school student
00:03:01of of um of studying as kid, and It's it's really different when
00:03:06a of when of you're there, of when you have to decide on
00:03:07of should of I stay in the Philippines with my kids
00:03:10and
00:03:11of you of know we don't have anything
00:03:12of eat a or should I move to another country but
00:03:16of you know my kids are
00:03:16of very
00:03:17of okay and I think it's we cannot
00:03:21of judge of anybody just by
00:03:23of simply of absolutely of just simply
00:03:24of by you choosing what not to do and what to do
00:03:28but at the end
00:03:29of the day. 'know if there are we're fortunate in such a
00:03:33time that there are a lot of like work from
00:03:36of of of home jobs you of know of like of there of are a
00:03:37of lot of opportunities that actually
00:03:43of of can that of of they can stay with of their of kids
00:03:44in of and of of not go to other countries,
00:03:46in of but um being in the reality we all know that it's
00:03:48of really
00:03:52a of a different um when you it's really different when you earn dollars and when you earn pesos and it's saddens
00:03:54of me of a of little a of
00:03:56of because it's i have a I have two kids and when I'm
00:04:02of of out of in of the country'. "I feel like I am, I
00:04:02a have this mom
00:04:03religion, guilt, I
00:04:04of don't a know if um
00:04:05of anyone feels that, but there's a mom guilt
00:04:11of of wherein i should be there, but I'm currently here, but this is for my future and their
00:04:12of future as well,
00:04:13of just this is not to pass any judgments, but in the spirit of
00:04:17uh conversation and
00:04:18of dialogue, of I think you know people when they're
00:04:22in facing of with various choices, they have to
00:04:28of of be cognisant of of of of the possible consequences and society also has. pressure, so for
00:04:30of example, of of if society
00:04:31of values, being a good provider more than being
00:04:35a mom, which is
00:04:37of extremely of important, not
00:04:38of only of for your kid, but for the country's development, because you know your presence
00:04:42with them
00:04:42of in the early years,
00:04:45in of you essentially structures
00:04:46of their entire life's trajectory,
00:04:50of of so of this something like this, if that's
00:04:51a missed out,
00:04:52of it's of very difficult to
00:04:54of compensate a later on, so do you think the filipino
00:04:57society or the
00:04:58of modern of society? gives enough
00:05:02of
00:05:03of in of in a in appreciation to this sort of um
00:05:04of invisible and
00:05:05of of not fully enumerated aspect of human
00:05:08experience.
00:05:09of i of
00:05:09of think of like motherhood.
00:05:12of of yeah, i think it's also taken for. like when people come to other countries it's also taken for
00:05:15granted by some by some that when you come to the Philippines
00:05:19you're you're just you're like literally dollar sign probably some them
00:05:23the families that i know of but personally on my case i'm grateful that you know
00:05:27my family is very supportive and that's a different scenario and
00:05:31you know it's i'm just lucky that not everyone has this
00:05:34capacity and the ability to have a supportive family that
00:05:38you know even helps in nurturing my kids
00:05:41but "in general, in the modern society, I feel like when
00:05:45you come to point wherein you are the
00:05:49provider, it can be, it can be both basically,
00:05:52but you just have to intentionally make that life
00:05:56choice of being both as mother and as a
00:05:59provider, and there are a lot of ways probably
00:06:03you know that that you can do, and yeah, well, there's also
00:06:07another aspect at least of your life, apart from being a provider and
00:06:11being
00:06:11a mother, that
00:06:12is being..." social role model, especially in your capacity as
00:06:16pilot, you are trained to be a commercial pilot of
00:06:19Airbus A320, and I understand that's still
00:06:23a pretty rare occupation, not only in your part the world, but
00:06:27globally. what do you to that? uh, so technically until now
00:06:31it's 5% the entire world, um, women, um, women
00:06:34pilots, and I feel like I was born to
00:06:38represent women in such small percentages
00:06:41of... the industries
00:06:43in in the world, like basically um, i'm an air forces
00:06:47service as well, on the air force it's also a pretty, especially in the Philippines,
00:06:51there's just few percentage of women as well in blockchain and
00:06:55all these industries that i am in, and i feel like i was just born
00:06:59to be representing that and to show women
00:07:02you know that we can also do that, and it's not because the division of
00:07:06women and men, but i think it's just in society in general that they just want
00:07:10role model probably and... "I unintentionally did that,
00:07:14that I didn't know I was doing it for for
00:07:16people. I heard you say in another interview that when
00:07:20people first learn that you're associated with the aviation industry,
00:07:24they assume that you're a flight attendant, and there is a bit of a
00:07:27condessantion in that. How do you understand it, why do you think, what do you think drives
00:07:31it? I think because when when a woman is beautiful, it's the
00:07:35initial, you know, it's it's either you're beautiful and then
00:07:39you're you're this, they they already have that person." of
00:07:43you and so it's not bad that they assume that I'm a flight attendant, thank you that
00:07:46because flight attendants are beautiful right, but um it's
00:07:50also in in my case when you people were
00:07:54like when I was doing even a public address to to the
00:07:57aircraft and they weren't seeing me of course buse I'm in the cockpit and they were like
00:08:01oh the pilot is woman and I was like
00:08:05the the flight and I was like yeah and then they have
00:08:08it's still a stigma there's still a stigma of um this um men
00:08:12pilot uh because we're just few and i think just
00:08:16being visible and there's a lot more now uh better number
00:08:20than before and i think just being visible out there is
00:08:24having having that face that you're you're a woman
00:08:28pilot it just clicks on
00:08:31you know people that oh it's possible now speaking about
00:08:34the substance of those jobes because you have an experience of being a flight
00:08:38attended as well correct it is my understanding that um
00:08:42"you know, servicing people on, especially a long whole flight
00:08:46may take more stamina, more resilience, at times a
00:08:49wider skill set then
00:08:52you know operating technology in the cockpit. I don't want to be condescending
00:08:56towards pilots, but uh, my assumption is that it takes, it's
00:09:00it's not just about beauty to be a flight attendent, it takes a lot of work,
00:09:04yes, correct, so um, it's it's tiring physically, and you
00:09:07know, when during emergency you're gonna, you're going to to
00:09:11save people. right, so it's tiring physically, but on the other side,
00:09:15which I love about being a pilot is you
00:09:19bring people to to their destination, and you're you're
00:09:22literally holding the 180 lives
00:09:26out there and bringing them to their families and I feel like that's
00:09:30something that
00:09:31you know pilots and are proud of, and at the
00:09:35same time, so is it about the risk, the adrenaline associated
00:09:39with it? for me, yes, I think it's also the adrenaline and I think...
00:09:42it's it's because wanted to become astronaut before and
00:09:46probably because astronaut and being a pilot is a bit closer you know to
00:09:50that dream and i think it's
00:09:52also being a pilot you're going to study
00:09:56forever so i think it's more on the mental and flight attendant is more
00:10:00on the physical and mental so um yeah i
00:10:04there's there's two different worlds but i really love the aviation world is there
00:10:08any difference in terms of style
00:10:11or? of how women versus men pots do it,
00:10:15would you be able to sunset if you were passenger right now
00:10:19flying such, well i have asked other
00:10:23passengers, i don't person but probably in in terms the
00:10:26cockpit right, I mean girls have this flare right,
00:10:30so it's it's a bit different, and from the passenger's point of view, they
00:10:34said, not on my, not in my words, but from them
00:10:37that um, when it's a woman, they it's
00:10:41just it, it has different feel to it, so
00:10:44I personally don't know, I haven't felt it in as
00:10:48passenger, but definitely I feel like uh, in terms
00:10:52of work ethics and everything, I think there's a lot. of difference, I
00:10:56know that you had your break uh operating commercial jets, but you now
00:11:00intend to transition to piloting uh private jets, do you
00:11:04think there's any difference when it comes
00:11:07to wealthy people who can afford to have their own
00:11:11planes about intrusting their lives to a man versus
00:11:15woman pilot? I actually don't know what they think
00:11:19about it, but um definitely there's especially in the middle east because I be doing
00:11:23it in the middle east and there's smaller percentage than you can think
00:11:26of in in middle east, middle east, and i think they
00:11:30were happy that i'm i
00:11:32think it depends on your skills, it really doesn't matter if you're a
00:11:34man or woman
00:11:35so it really depends on your skills, but at the same time you know the
00:11:39reason i chose going to private jets because the schedule and i want to
00:11:43spend more time with my kids and i feel like that's something the diff the
00:11:47difference between the airline and doing private ships, but you know like when it comes
00:11:51to the airline the airline cannot openly tell you you know uh "I
00:11:55don't like or I don't trust women, so no, I'm not goingna
00:11:58allow you do that, but if you want to do that with private jets, if I
00:12:02have my own equipment, I i can refuse you for
00:12:06whatever reason, don't you think that you will have
00:12:09to deal with this stigma yet again if you
00:12:13if you pursue that? I think if you are are confident
00:12:16enough to you, that that you can do it regardless
00:12:20and you know God has a way of putting you where where
00:12:24you're at." I think that confidence and level of
00:12:28um um safety for you that
00:12:32wherever you are, you're meant to be there, so I'm really
00:12:36not afraid, probably because the experiences that I have, right? Okay,
00:12:40well we have to take a very short break right now, but we'll be back in just
00:12:43few moments. Stay
00:12:44tuned.
00:13:00What if, everything you think you know is only part the
00:13:04story: bold economic moves, high stakes battles on the world
00:13:08stage, war and peace, the very future
00:13:12of America. The headlines are loud, the debates are
00:13:15fierce. Now it's time for closer look. Know the
00:13:19policy, understand the impact. America first, the
00:13:22Scotty Nelve.
00:13:35welcome back to world's apart with Cheska Gonzales, a Filipino
00:13:38entrepreneur, pilot and female empowerment
00:13:41advocate. Chesco, we talked lot about different sides
00:13:45of uh female empowerment, and this is such nuance and
00:13:49complicated uh concept, because I personally feel that there is
00:13:53lot of genuine issues.
00:14:03to uh encourage women to be what they don't necessarily
00:14:07want to be, any case uh, how do you understand
00:14:11that? what i
00:14:14my my family actually wanted me to become a doctor that alone even when you
00:14:18were when you your kids right, people want you to be
00:14:22something, people want you to become this and that. "and I
00:14:26believe that um, empowering females are, it's
00:14:29not just telling them who you become, it's asking them what they really
00:14:33want to become, because sometimes one person just wants to become a mother
00:14:37right, and becoming mother for example, it's already an
00:14:41achievement, and I respect that, people should respect
00:14:44what they really want, unless they're, well, but it's also very hard
00:14:48to understand what you really want when everybody tells you
00:14:52different things, culture wants one thing, your family." wants the other and
00:14:56you're too young to understand how to figure out so what i
00:14:59did um when when i was younger i've tried every single thing that you can
00:15:03think of like i feel like we have the
00:15:07permission to try out lot of things i always tell this to my kids that you
00:15:11know my my my daughter wants to become a lawyer for example and i
00:15:14said you must but i want to become a i want to do guitar and i
00:15:18want to do this and that i said just do it because sometimes you don't know
00:15:22if the lawyer thing is just because of... what the
00:15:26society is telling them or probably in in the social media or
00:15:29something
00:15:30and i tell them that
00:15:31you know it's it should be because you want to try it, the reason
00:15:35i have all these um titles is not because the titles
00:15:38alone, i really want it to become like, i just want to try
00:15:42it, is this something that i love, is this something that i want, and
00:15:46probably i think that's what's missing in in in some people,
00:15:50like they just don't want to try because they don't want to risk it. heard you say in another
00:15:53interview that seeing a professional barriers always gets,
00:15:57almost always gets you excited, and you see your life
00:16:01purpose to encourage others not to be discouraged, but i
00:16:04wonder if you ever get tired of... doing all these goals
00:16:08and trying to conquer the world, oh trust me, i am,
00:16:12like um, even when i'm especially when you're alone, when you
00:16:16feel like you're fighting and then you're asking for who, for why, for
00:16:20what, you know, so i think it's not just
00:16:23because i'm tired, but probably because this is
00:16:27much more bigger than me, think everything that do, not just becoming pilot, even
00:16:31for my blockchain advocacies and everything, i feel like it's not just for
00:16:35me, i feel like it's a responsibility that was given to me way
00:16:38back by by god probably and you know everything
00:16:42that i'm doing is much more than what i can handle and whenever i
00:16:46whenever i have the chance to to ask and you know
00:16:49pray i was like is this is
00:16:53this really what i want because
00:16:55you know or is this really my purpose cuz i feel like if i
00:16:59don't do this no one would and if
00:17:02someone would probably not in my country or not in this area the world
00:17:06and
00:17:07you know change one life at least or probably knowing
00:17:10someone that you change their life is already a success
00:17:14to me, so there a
00:17:16is masking and there may be major cultural differences
00:17:19here, but in my circle of high
00:17:23achieving women, I see lot of not just hunger,
00:17:27but longing for social non-achievement, for
00:17:30being able to not be efficient all the
00:17:34time, to slow down, not to be inspirational... model to be somebody
00:17:38who is uh quiet, not very remarkable,
00:17:42because you know, I feel like with
00:17:45many, with some of my friends it is as if it's not
00:17:49hard then they don't have a permission to to pursue it,
00:17:53and there are many things in life that are easily available that you don't
00:17:57actually need to fight for, but correct
00:18:00over time, it's hard for women to allow themselves to stop fighting and
00:18:04just enjoy it, I was I... currently actually
00:18:08now in that um i hope that i'm already there but you
00:18:12know that sometimes slow down and then i feel like there's
00:18:16another thing that like this congress for example like this economic um
00:18:19forum i wasn't planning to be here but then you know it's it's
00:18:23just um
00:18:25it it i'm representative and i'm here so i don't
00:18:29have a choice but to to do this in my head was like
00:18:33i was tasked to do this so it's it's more of like just
00:18:37in inspiring people unintentionally, but definitely
00:18:41trust me, i want to slow down, and i've been slowing down for the past years
00:18:44and i want to
00:18:47become, i want also to feel like woman, cuz
00:18:51i feel like being just women empowerment alone is
00:18:55entirely different from just go go go go, i feel like you
00:18:59should also slow down, and that's very important in life, even if
00:19:03you're a female or a male, slowing down is knowing where.
00:19:07really want to go, as I was preparing for this interview, I read lot of
00:19:11stories about about the Filipino women's experiences,
00:19:15especially those who go abroad or the like life stories their
00:19:18children, and uh that was actually
00:19:21very you know rich and painful subject, because you see
00:19:25that many them do want their children to
00:19:28succeed, they put their lives on the on the line
00:19:32and go work for many hours a foreign land hoping
00:19:36to save up enough for. their children's education to fund their private
00:19:40schools and then it turns out that many the children drop out
00:19:44of schools, they don't want to pursue that career, and then everybody gets
00:19:47disappointed, everybody was striving for some goal, but
00:19:51nobody really talked to one another whether they want that
00:19:55goal or not, so I think it's not just the filipino question, I mean for all of
00:19:59us, that's a very relevant question, so
00:20:03how do you deal with those um, how do you
00:20:06assign? uh priorities to the various challenges or the
00:20:10various tasks that you
00:20:12you know i treat my life, i did not know that i was treating my life this way,
00:20:16i'm treating my life like pilot, so um you have a checklist
00:20:20right, so technically when you do fly you have a checklist, did not know that i'm doing it
00:20:24like that, and so deal with it one a time, and now
00:20:28especially that i know that for example there's a technical failure an
00:20:31aircraft, you do that in your own life as well, so i check what
00:20:35is wrong and I make sure that I um attend
00:20:39to that, so for example, this this um past few months,
00:20:43I needed to be in the Philippines, I'm based in Dubai, but I needed to be in the
00:20:47Philippines because I want to spend more time with my kids. and my kids need more
00:20:51attention and so I do that because that is
00:20:55what's needed, so you treat your life as if like
00:20:59you treat it one at the time, so personally I
00:21:02deal with it in such a way also that you know
00:21:05when when you see necessary slowing down like
00:21:09you said help a lot in terms of seeing a bigger
00:21:13picture, I think you need to see it a bigger picture as well, because if you just you know
00:21:17you're in the problem or you're in that scenario...
00:21:20you cannot think straight, so you need to really you know put it a such
00:21:24a bigger picture that when you see what's wrong then
00:21:28you focus on that, so if you if your kids need attention, you do
00:21:31that, if your career needs attention then you do that. i think
00:21:35it's just matter of um putting it in such a way that
00:21:39it's um uh the priority itself as well
00:21:42and um compartimentalizing the the the
00:21:46problems. heard you say before that learning to
00:21:50has taught you how to be fully present in everything that you do, and I wonder
00:21:54if you have any life hacks or advice for all of us,
00:21:58because you know, being present is not easy, it's actually
00:22:02very hard-wornd skill. 100%, like imagine if you have a
00:22:06problem and you're flying a plane, like you cannot, you cannot do
00:22:09anything, you cannot think about it at all, right? so
00:22:13I made it in such a way that when I come to the, if I
00:22:17come to the office, if I want, if I needed to fly, I
00:22:21that you
00:22:21forget everything know that's bothering my everything, mentally, physically,
00:22:24etc., just forget about everything else, and
00:22:28think to yourself, there's only like eight hours,
00:22:32eight hours is not going to kill anybody, right? just just be there,
00:22:36just be present, or probably you need to take a a
00:22:39walk. 10 minutes of slowing down won't won't hurt you. i think it's
00:22:43just a small things every day, or probably going to the gym, right?
00:22:47going to the gym is not because of just your... your health, but it's
00:22:51because you remove everything, you don't go to the gym and you text and you you do all these
00:22:54things, you do things one a time just so you
00:22:58don't get overwhelmed, because I was overwhelmed, I'm telling you this because it's
00:23:02not because I already mastered it, but I think it's because the experience that
00:23:06I had, and you know it's it's just
00:23:09literally um not being present for the past years of
00:23:13my life, and I think just being present makes you
00:23:17fully understand what life
00:23:19is and... what um you really need to be to do to be doing and your
00:23:23purpose as well, so slowing down is the key to to everything. well, before
00:23:27we fully slow down, do want to ask you a couple of questions about your current
00:23:31occupation, and you are the founder the Philippine blockchain week, a
00:23:35large event that brings creators uh from across the
00:23:39field and from across the global, suppose, what drew your
00:23:43interest to that? so during the pandemic lost my job
00:23:46and um, lost my job as pilot cuz no one's flying right, and
00:23:50learned and earned crypto and because learned and earned crypto
00:23:53i said to myself what
00:23:54is this um industry so i'm i'm very very curious on what that
00:23:58industry was like so i went to dubai to to this conference
00:24:02and met lot of people and i've been um asked to do
00:24:05blockchain women empowerment talks and everything and i was
00:24:09like what i going to do with all of my contacts and bridge them all
00:24:13together so what i did is i started philippine blockchain week
00:24:17um in the philippines it's the largest um blockchain even in the
00:24:20Philippines
00:24:21and you know I bridge, since I live in another country, I bridge
00:24:25all the um countries all together and bring businesses to the Philippines and
00:24:29back. now we talked about the difficult economic
00:24:32situation in the Philippines or rather the challenging, and it's
00:24:36not just the Philippines, I mean the entire world is facing uh
00:24:40lot of hardship, but there is a large gap between high birth rates
00:24:44and uh, well-paying jobs in your
00:24:47country, and that's one the reasons why... people have to go
00:24:50abroad, um, do you think the blockchain or the tech
00:24:54industry have uh any possibility of
00:24:58perhaps changing or augmenting some of that? 100%. I feel
00:25:02like the reason I also started this is because I saw the
00:25:05potential of when I bring companies, international companies to the Philippines, they hire
00:25:09Filipinos, so when they hire Filipinos, this filipinos get a
00:25:13larger pay and a larger salary, and this salary can
00:25:17make them stay in the Philippines and that is... such huge,
00:25:20huge help to this filipino, to the country, right?
00:25:24and the the moment I saw that, and
00:25:27you know, more entrepreneurs are being born like just
00:25:30because they meet people elsewhere, and then they said to
00:25:34theirself like you, I can also do it, and so um, I think
00:25:37just making their lives, um, people
00:25:41who cannot fly in or who cannot go to this conferences,
00:25:45um, can have that chance just by going to to that conference,
00:25:49like just...
00:25:50him all together and finally, I know that you had to partner
00:25:54with the Filipino government
00:25:56for for for this event, and successive filipino governments said that
00:26:00they do want to create more jobs at home. but at the same time your
00:26:04economy is heavily reliant on foreign
00:26:07remittances, so the government is a bit of bind, they
00:26:10want people to, especially mothers to stay home, but they also
00:26:14benefit them from going away, and I wonder how you think
00:26:18that could be changed, I mean would that require only economic measures or
00:26:21perhaps the culture needs needs to change as well,
00:26:25something, something's going to give, because you cannot have both at the same
00:26:29time, correct? I think the culture also understands that... um,
00:26:33mean it's very easy now to understand what's happening,
00:26:37so so the philippinos are very talented and very um wise,
00:26:41so they they do understand that we are hustlers as well, so we we know
00:26:44what to do, but in terms of
00:26:47you know the the the salary probably and the high birth
00:26:51rate and everything else, i think it's
00:26:55really do um bridging private sector and the public
00:26:58sector, because if you just rely on the public sector of course i "we all
00:27:02know that it's it's different right, they have their own priorities and everything
00:27:06else, and they usually touch the the class that
00:27:10are um, not not everyone, like not everyone,
00:27:14they cannot handle everyone, so what um, i think we are
00:27:17actually doing right, is that the private sector, which
00:27:21is us, is helping all the classes, um,
00:27:24families to to know and to know more
00:27:28opportunities outside, and maintain the money inside
00:27:31the..." the Philippines and so the economy also
00:27:35booms, so I think it's really the bridging of private and public
00:27:39sector locally just so you can
00:27:42um, first of all they will hear you, they they can hear like for example the
00:27:46blockchain bills right, we don't they don't care about blockchain for the
00:27:50past five years and after five years now it's all becoming
00:27:53mainstream, you have blockchain bills all over and everything else so it's really the bridging
00:27:57of public and private sector that will help the economy
00:28:01boom so... Well Cheska, this is all we have time for,
00:28:04thank you very much for this truly inspiring conversation, thank you, thank you so much
00:28:08for having me, thank you, and thank you for watching, hope to see you again
00:28:12on world's apart next
00:28:13week.
00:28:37"there's no end in sight over how you're going to continue to destroy the earth is the case
00:28:41the madness the people. i tried
00:28:43to go to the gym but i'm certainly not ready to fight russia. this is all so absurd.
00:28:47this is third world lunacy, brainwashing.
00:28:50as pus to say, we have the tools. why we
00:28:54just start with stability and business deal to work, planet
00:28:58living on man. we have very good propaganda in our press here in
00:29:01Europe." I think we don't know the aftermath. Anytime that you're not allowed to
00:29:05ask questions, you should ask all the questions. The more questions asked, the
00:29:09better the answers will
00:29:10be.
00:29:18Towards the end the 18th century, wave of decolonizations caused the
00:29:22colonizers to focus their attention on Africa, a period marked by the brutal
00:29:26legacy of European imperialism and the systematic
00:29:30exploitation of African peoples and resources. Many of our
00:29:33nations remain caught in the grip of
00:29:37new-colonial systems. Africans must be the
00:29:41lords their own land, the masters their
00:29:44own resources.
00:29:46It is time to leave Africa and other developing countries
00:29:49alone, the west needs to stop with the foreign
00:29:52interference. They know that divided
00:29:55Africa is a weak Africa. Let us challenge the
00:29:59poisonous tongs that seek to divide us. and build
00:30:03bridges of understanding instead. Today that
00:30:06opportunity lies in cooperation with nations across the global
00:30:10south and with allies like
00:30:12Russia.
00:30:26Russia's first parliamentary elections since the beginning the
00:30:30Ukraine conflict have wrapped up. And the counting the
00:30:33votes has commenced. There's still a lot to see and discuss as the
00:30:37final figures won't be officially confirmed until next Friday.
00:30:41We're bringing you our special coverage as the world's geographically biggest
00:30:45country has its democratic say. And
00:30:49with the first preliminary results coming in, the ruling United
00:30:53Russia party is firmly top with solid majority. The
00:30:56runner-up is the Communist Party with almost 14% and
00:31:00the Liberal Democratic Party. is in third with a little over
00:31:049%. Moscow
00:31:08says Kiev tried to undermine the elections with a massive
00:31:11attack. There's almost 2,00 drones and missile. were
00:31:15intercepted a single day, the targeted assault on the Russian
00:31:19capital left several people dead,
00:31:23and that is my vote, one of tens of
00:31:26millions being cast around the donbas, but with
00:31:30every vote cast in the Dumbas, the people
00:31:34the Dumbas show that those threats don't
00:31:37scare them, Russians cast their ballots despite
00:31:41threats and daily shelling from Ukraine, that says the key.
00:31:45regime insists elections cannot be held during wartime.
00:31:49Nevertheless, Russians ventured out to the polls, including near the front
00:31:52lines and in other border regions.
00:31:56Generally speaking, it is very difficult to intimidate me, it's just not in
00:32:00my nature. Firstly, I don't recognize the landscate at all, and I don't
00:32:04watch him on TV. As for scammers, they've already left me alone.
00:32:08We have lived too long to be
00:32:09intimidated.
00:32:18A warm welcome to you. This is RT International. As always, it's great
00:32:22to have you with us. Well, this has been the third and final day of
00:32:25voting in Russia's parliamentary elections. Polls have closed
00:32:29across the country's 11 time zones and the preliminary
00:32:33results are already coming in. RT has been keeping close tap
00:32:37on the developments, bringing you all the latest updates as part of our
00:32:40special
00:32:41coverage.
00:32:53Well even though the polls have closed, there's still a lot to see, counter and
00:32:57discuss as the final figures won't be officially confirmed until next
00:33:01Friday, currently there are here are the preliminary results
00:33:04after about 37% the ballots have been tallied, the
00:33:08ruling United Russia party is firmly in the lead with solid
00:33:12majority, the runner-up is the Communist Part. with about
00:33:1514%. in third place is the liberal democratic party
00:33:19with a little over 9%. let's get
00:33:23more details. let's cross to our correspondent artist
00:33:26Anastasiana joining us from our studio just outside the kremlin.
00:33:30Anastasia, good to see you. so we know the polls are closed, the votes are being
00:33:34counted. what else can you tell us about
00:33:36the latest developments?
00:33:40good evening there Nikki. well, it's just few minutes past
00:33:43midnight and the polling... stations across one the largest,
00:33:47well the largest nation in the world have officially closed, the
00:33:51turnout uh has surpassed and exceeded
00:33:5456% and it's generally been a very
00:33:58busy weekend and to be precise, very busy three days for
00:34:02those uh who took part in organizing the uh
00:34:06election and uh so far but um of course a
00:34:10more busy night awaits us all ahead as the votes are
00:34:13currently being count and for that of course I have my
00:34:17colleague who is joining me right here in
00:34:21the uh very heart the Russian capital who has just returned
00:34:25from the uh central election committee what can you tell
00:34:29us about maybe the atmosphere there and what do we know about
00:34:33the results so far? well enough
00:34:35to see indeed polling stations have now closed nationwide and the
00:34:39voter turnout across the country surpassed um
00:34:4256 percent that is 56.66% to
00:34:46be exact um now so far
00:34:4936.87% the votes have been
00:34:52counted and the preliminary results they are officially
00:34:56in, so let me just give you a quick breakdown the five
00:35:00leading parties. we start with the all Russian political
00:35:03party, United Russia, which got the most votes, that is over
00:35:0757% in total. um, the communist party
00:35:11the Russian Federation is second, that is CPRF
00:35:15short uh they got the second highest number of votes as I said and that
00:35:18is over 13%. uh then we also have the liberal
00:35:22democratic party of Russia that is LDPR with over
00:35:269% of votes and the new people political party in fourth
00:35:30place with over 8% of votes uh now in fifth place
00:35:34is the socialist political party uh adjust Russia with
00:35:38over 5% of votes there so uh now as
00:35:41well the leading three candidates for each individual.
00:35:45constituency have also been announced and uh
00:35:49just to um mention this very quickly, there are
00:35:52225 individual constituencies in
00:35:56Russia and 16 in the Russian capital
00:35:59alone, so one candidate will be elected per constituency
00:36:03there. So we've heard lot about the uh the results, everyone is
00:36:07of course um waiting for the official results once
00:36:11all the votes are counted down, but can you actually take us through the actual?
00:36:15uh voting system and how the seats in parliament uh are
00:36:18distributed uh, well out the 450
00:36:22deputies being elected, half are elected through party lists and the
00:36:26other half,
00:36:27so the...
00:36:27the uh 225 are elected in single mandate
00:36:31constituencies uh so in casting their vote for a specific
00:36:35candidate to represent the area in the state Duma, Russian citizens
00:36:39chose from between um around seven eight candidates
00:36:43per area and the total number of candidates uh making the federal
00:36:46lists across the country uh this time around is
00:36:50around 1,700 people. now some of those
00:36:54candidates making the federal lists are independent and
00:36:57importantly in this election, federalists also included
00:37:01veterans the special military operation. now we
00:37:05had more than 90,000 polling stations open across the
00:37:08country in this time, that is over the past three days
00:37:12and the total number of registered voters in Moscow is
00:37:16over 7 million 800 thousand people, while
00:37:19nationwide that number is at
00:37:22111 million. now in the course of this
00:37:26election, people have been able. to cast their vote a variety of ways that is of
00:37:30course uh in person uh or they they have also been able to
00:37:33cast the ballot online as well uh that was uh well
00:37:37online voting that was available uh in numerous Russian
00:37:40regions those unable to vote in person have been able to vote from
00:37:44home uh so there were many ways really for people to take part
00:37:48in uh these elections and it's worth noting uh that when it
00:37:52comes to polling stations almost 400 thousand observers were
00:37:56present at these elections now with the polls um officially
00:38:00closed, the preliminary results, as we know are in, we are now
00:38:03awaiting the final results and those will be announced by the central
00:38:07election commission by the 5th of October, so we're waiting on that for sure, so you've
00:38:11just mentioned that how um people across Russia were able to vote online,
00:38:15and this is actually what I did personally myself, and we know that Russia is an
00:38:19enormous country, stretching over 11 time zones and this year
00:38:23for the first time uh four new regions also took part.
00:38:27the voting, so the Donietsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's
00:38:31Republic, Hirson and Zaparojie regions and we
00:38:34know that the key of regime, because these elections are actually the first day
00:38:38dumer elections since the start the uh special military
00:38:41operation that um started back in February of
00:38:442022 and we know that Zelensky um and
00:38:48his um team there Ukrainians um have carried out an
00:38:52unprecedented attack using drones um not just targeting the
00:38:56regions but specifically the Moscow region according to Sergei
00:39:00Sabanian, the mayor, around over 1,600
00:39:04drones were intercepted overnight and 450 them were
00:39:08actually heading moscow's way, and to you this attack, I
00:39:12think it's really important to have listen what the defense ministry had to say, let's take a
00:39:16listen to that. In an effort to undermine the democratic will
00:39:20the citizens the Russian Federation, as expressed in the elections
00:39:24to the state Duma the Federal assembly the Russian federal. The
00:39:28KV regime launched a massive attack on the territory the Russian
00:39:31Federation on September 19th and 20th of this
00:39:35year, using UAVs and Flamingo cruise
00:39:38missiles. In response to the Kiev regime's attacks on civilian
00:39:42targets on Russian territory, the armed forces the Russian
00:39:45Federation will intensify their strikes with high precision
00:39:48weapons against military targets in
00:39:51Kiev. Unfortunately, we do know about
00:39:54casualties, according to reports, three children. have been wounded
00:39:58and two people unfortunately have died uh due to the
00:40:02attack uh, but um, what I want to ask you is
00:40:05this, so we know lot um, and it's been talked about recently about the
00:40:09Ukrainian drone attack, but do we know about any other types of
00:40:13attacks so far um during these state duma elections? well,
00:40:17let me pre-phase by saying when it comes to the elections themselves, they went
00:40:21smoothly, they were of course held in full compliance with the law,
00:40:25we saw a high voter turnout and as well, which is just, well, it serves -
00:40:29proof of that fact, and there hasn't been a single successful attack
00:40:33on the elections that we saw in the past three
00:40:36days, but there have however been multiple attempts of course,
00:40:40and we've seen continued intimidation of election commission
00:40:44members over this time period, and as we know uh, today two
00:40:48people were killed in a drone attack a civilian bus in the
00:40:51Hirson region. one the victims was indeed member the
00:40:54pressing electoral commission. in the Hirson
00:40:58region and this person was involved in the conducting of
00:41:02early voting in one of its electoral districts and this was
00:41:06reported by the central election commission head Ella
00:41:09Pinfilova and she also spoke on cyber attacks actually
00:41:13that is over 100 million potential dangers that were thwarted
00:41:17in this
00:41:18time
00:41:22over the past period more than waves of ddos attacks were recorded
00:41:25against infrastructure in the Russian. Federation that is specifically involved in the
00:41:29electoral process. Thankfully, there were no successful attacks
00:41:33despite their intensity and power. At the same time, the level of impact
00:41:37is assessed as very high. attacks were carried out by highly
00:41:41professional, well coordinated groups using artificial intelligence
00:41:45tools. The attacks were launched primarily from abroad. Where did
00:41:49they come from? The United Kingdom, Ukraine, Brazil, Indonesia,
00:41:53and even India. Thank God, all the attacks were successfully
00:41:56repelled.
00:42:01Well, what we're seeing as well is essentially fake news being spread about the
00:42:05fairness these elections, such as reports on
00:42:09observers being. uh well barred from uh entering into
00:42:12polling stations, and we do know that in fact only 23
00:42:16complaints have been received in regards to difficulties in
00:42:20exercising the rights of observers, three which were received
00:42:24earlier today. now the central election commission
00:42:27it is worth noting deals with these complaints
00:42:30immediately. so with the elections now concluded, we
00:42:34can certainly say that uh, well indeed there have been attempts
00:42:37to uh undermine the electoral process to disrupt
00:42:41it, however they have produced an opposite effect,
00:42:44and what we've seen is that uh, well people were even more active
00:42:48in casting their votes over these past three
00:42:51days. thank you very much Aila for bringing us up to
00:42:55speed. well, Nikki, that's all from me and
00:42:59Aila so far, so passing over to you, but we'll make sure to keep you
00:43:03updated. we appreciate that. many thanks to both of you for
00:43:07the updates and uh let's uh discuss now. how our correspondent
00:43:11egos donov is reporting from one the headquarters
00:43:14of United Russia is the country's ruling party, as we can see is
00:43:18firmly leading the race. the atmosphere certainly has
00:43:22been cheerful here, there's other word for it, and after all, if you look
00:43:26at the caliber of people that United Russia can show
00:43:29its roaster, well it certainly can't complain in that
00:43:33department, here we've spoken to heroes of Russia, to
00:43:36decorated officers, veterans the special military.
00:43:40operation of in Ukraine, it's acting senators, acting
00:43:44MPs, you name it, they all have gathered here to
00:43:47together find out the outcome of this election
00:43:51and well to finally find themselves
00:43:54victorious in this race, it has been a long, rather
00:43:58long race, after all people have been voting for three days
00:44:02and and well again the turnout has been quite
00:44:05significant, it has been larger than uh five years ago
00:44:09and they
00:44:10you know the people uh the people of this party of United Russia uh
00:44:14its members
00:44:15they have spoken openly about how happy they are that people
00:44:19chose to go and vote that they utilized these
00:44:22uh you know all the electronic uh
00:44:26methods that have been there available for the general population for the low
00:44:30mobility people in hospitals and so to to
00:44:33vote without having to go to the polling
00:44:37station without having you know without having to physically appear at the polling
00:44:41booths, and especially they have talked about how
00:44:45people in the new regions of Russia, people in the border regions of Russia, and
00:44:49I'm talking about the border regions, the ones that border with Ukraine, of course, that
00:44:53they were unphazed by the threats, they were unfaced by the
00:44:56constant threats of drones, of missile attacks and they went
00:45:00and voted and voted unmass. After all, if you look at the
00:45:04turnout in the Lugansk People's Republic in the Donetsk People's Republic, those
00:45:08turnouts, they have been quite... spectacular, well above the
00:45:12average across the country, and in fact I asked the
00:45:15senator representing the Lugansk people's republic. I asked
00:45:19her, darial Lantratova, I asked her uh, what she thinks
00:45:23about it, what she thinks about the people who still in
00:45:27her hometown, in her home region, they went and they
00:45:30decided to participate in this first election
00:45:34that they that they could really take part in as part of Russia,
00:45:38and here's what she had
00:45:39to say, Indeed, the turnout is
00:45:42unprecedentedly high in the Dunetsk and Lugansk Republics at about
00:45:4680%. For the people, this is indeed very important event,
00:45:50another step on the path of integration with Russia, because the residents the
00:45:54reunited historical regions are electing their representatives and parliament
00:45:57members for the first time. Indeed, there were many provocations and
00:46:01dangers. We have once again been convinced that our people cannot be
00:46:04intimidated, they steadfastly withstood these trials. Our
00:46:08adversary targeted energy. civil infrastructure with attacks intended to
00:46:12intimidate our people, to force them not to go to the polling stations, to
00:46:16jeopardizing the entire voting process.
00:46:20and well, the threat, it was as real as it gets, after all, at
00:46:23least one member the electoral committee was killed in the Ukrainian
00:46:27strike in the Zaparogia region of Russia, and so
00:46:31really people, they did risk literally risk their lives to
00:46:34go and have a have a go a democratic say that they
00:46:38have now as part of... Russia, but they weren't the only ones
00:46:42uh, taking this risk. Moscow uh was targeted by
00:46:46Ukrainian uh long-ranged uh attack uh
00:46:49over the past over the past three days really. "there was several waves
00:46:53these attacks and - you had also international
00:46:57observers working at the polling stations and they
00:47:00took note of Russia's you know of how Russia has
00:47:04digitalized the voting process and they were quite impressed they some
00:47:08uh some uh delegates some uh well some the
00:47:11representatives the uh African of some African nations they
00:47:15well they said that they might seek to adopt
00:47:19some of that technology and you know bring them to bring..." this
00:47:22technology to their home country. I asked an acting
00:47:26MP, Peter stoy as to what he thinks about th this
00:47:30representation when it comes to international observers and the
00:47:34general digitalization the vote here in Russia,
00:47:38what he, here's what he had to say. You know, we have a
00:47:42large team of international observers working in these elections and not just in
00:47:45Moscow. Everyone has noted how far Russia has advanced in terms of
00:47:49technology for organizing the electoral process. This is... transparent
00:47:53and verificable for voters. It is easy to understand and most importantly
00:47:57convenient for people to use. For us, it absolutely does not matter
00:48:01whether our former western partners recognize the elections or not, every
00:48:04day they tell stories about how bad we are, what monsters we are, and this
00:48:08entire wave of russophobia, I'm sure, will also spill over into the
00:48:12finalization the election results. For us, the most important thing is that the
00:48:16elections are recognized as fair and objective by our citizens, by our
00:48:19Russian voters. Our legitimacy lies.
00:48:28now there's still there is going to be few days that the Russian
00:48:32electoral committee will take to finalize the counter of
00:48:36all the votes, but it is already pretty clear that United Russia it
00:48:40is quite comfortably in the lead, well over
00:48:4250% the public support, they have
00:48:46it, and so it's leader Dimitri Midved has already said
00:48:49addressing people here in uh... in the people's in the
00:48:53public support HQ the United Russia party, he has
00:48:57said that now that they know that they have this public
00:49:01support, well they now United Russia can be more
00:49:04ambitious and it can really pursue everything that
00:49:08it stands for and uh really try and
00:49:12put forward their vision, bring closer their
00:49:16vision of success for Russia.
00:49:20Let's take this discussion further with George. senior research fellow
00:49:24at the global policy institute in Budapest, thank you so much for joining us on the
00:49:28program this evening, as we know, Russia's parliamentary elections have
00:49:31wrapped up, what's your overall impression of how things
00:49:34went? well, it's pretty, the results are pretty much as
00:49:38we had expected them to be. um, now
00:49:41naturally uh, the western media will not accept the
00:49:45result, uh, however, um, they wouldn't have
00:49:49accepted there any result at all unless was
00:49:53a uh defeat for uh President Putin's
00:49:56party uh, in which case they would have celebrated this as the
00:50:00Russian people have spoken, um, the, but what I think
00:50:03is quite striking was the uh
00:50:07huge drone and missile
00:50:11attack on Moscow today from
00:50:14Ukraine, this was obviously sponsored by NATO and it was
00:50:18this, this was the NATO Ukraine opinion of...
00:50:22the Russian people, the the same Russian people that they claim that they
00:50:26love, love, love so much, um, this is what they did, this
00:50:30isn't an attack on the Russian government, this isn't an attack on president
00:50:34Putin, this is attack on the Russian people, and that is
00:50:37shows the NATO and Ukraine contempt for
00:50:40democracy, yeah, we'll come back to this, I want to just um go back
00:50:44to the results that we're seeing so far, because we're showing that the United
00:50:48Russia party will probably still hold the majority in the Russian um
00:50:52lower house of parliament, although probably no longer a super majority,
00:50:56so what do you think about this and what conclusions do you think foreign observers
00:51:00could draw from this? well, I think it was still a
00:51:03pretty good result for the United Russia
00:51:07party, because remember the uh, there had been an
00:51:11expectation that uh, even few months ago that
00:51:15they would fall well short of
00:51:1850%, so once you get it get up to 50%, then that's
00:51:22a... pretty decent result, but you have to also keep in
00:51:26mind that among the opposition parties,
00:51:30they still nonetheless support um
00:51:33the the the policy the government, so I think this is a
00:51:37pretty pretty decent result, it was certainly that's not
00:51:41how it looked earlier in the summer and were very die prediction,
00:51:44particularly given the condition the economy that this would turn out to
00:51:48be poor result, but if you take this election to be
00:51:53referendum on the performance the government,
00:51:56and I think the government would have every reason to be reasonably
00:51:59satisfied with these results. Yeah, this election was being
00:52:03called historic because. included the voices the new Russian
00:52:07regions, while the worst has become accustom to hearing Zelensky and
00:52:11Ukrainian officials say that a time of war, no elections can be held,
00:52:15but Russia is shown now that it was able to do it.
00:52:18might this change the western perspective on whether the Kiev
00:52:22regime can refuse to hold an election? no, I don't
00:52:26think it
00:52:27it there'll be any change at all, because the last thing that the western
00:52:31governments want is to allow the Ukrainian people to have a...
00:52:35say in how their country is governed and
00:52:39particular uh whether they want to continue fighting
00:52:43this hopeless, horrific, dreadful war, and I think this is
00:52:46very, very important to keep in mind that
00:52:49Ukraine was supposed to have held elections two and
00:52:53a half years ago, not only are no elections
00:52:57in the offing, but it's been made
00:53:01clear by the western powers that they intend this war to...
00:53:05continue ad infinitum, and given the
00:53:08logic under which they operate that, well we can't have elections during
00:53:12wartime, and
00:53:14you obviously want this
00:53:15war to go
00:53:16at infinitum, that means you don't foresee any elections at
00:53:20all uh for the forceable future, and that is the
00:53:23current official western position, over the course the
00:53:27weekend, as you noted, Ukraine launched about 2,
00:53:30drones and missiles um at at Russia, well...
00:53:35Previously Kiyev had called for the Russian people to put pressure on their
00:53:38government, so the question is why then try to disrupt the elections which
00:53:42could actually change Russian politics if the Russian people can go out and
00:53:46safely vote, well I think it was just simply
00:53:49um attempt to just
00:53:53disrupt, to insult, to show a
00:53:57uh the contem for the Russians, for the Russian government, for the
00:54:01Russian electoral process, um, it was...
00:54:05entirely attempt at sabotage and of
00:54:08course there's likelihood
00:54:11of a substantial response coming from
00:54:15Russia against the Ukraine in the coming days in
00:54:18retaliation for what is really quite an act
00:54:22of insolence um but of course that's
00:54:26what you how Ukraine operates they want to provoke
00:54:29these um Russian attacks they want to do this because they
00:54:33want to um ' uh, you know, hope obviously
00:54:37hope that the western uh powers will weigh will go to war
00:54:41against Russia. One interesting aspect of this is of course
00:54:44that uh Ukraine attacked uh
00:54:48refineries again after having been told by President
00:54:52Trump not to do this, this is a really a bad
00:54:55idea given the uh the world oil
00:54:58markets at the moment, yet Zelensky went ahead and did
00:55:02it, um, the stock that he's going to meet... Trump in
00:55:06uh New York, I don't know whether this is that this is going
00:55:10to go down very well with the uh American
00:55:12administration, changing the topic slightly, some
00:55:16interesting election results in Germany today, which dealt heavy
00:55:20blows to parties aligned with the EU leadership in Brussels, what do
00:55:24you think about those losses, and is there emerging trend that we're seeing
00:55:27here against the current political establishment in
00:55:30Europe? well there obviously is, in particular,
00:55:35the um absolutely humiliating result for
00:55:39um Chancellor Merts's CDU party, they
00:55:43barely, as as last time I checked, barely reached
00:55:465% threshhold in in order to get into the
00:55:50uh parliament, so I think they will at least have some representation, if the
00:55:54if they'd gone a little bit below that, it would have been the most humiliating result
00:55:58in the CDU's history, but this is
00:56:00now um
00:56:03a pattern of... disastrous defeats
00:56:07for Chancelor Mels who has only been in power
00:56:11really for very short period of time, he's the the
00:56:15most unpopularuh leader in German
00:56:18history, and and he has no ideas at all of how
00:56:22to get himself out of this mess, because the policies that he
00:56:26advocates, which is the cuts in welfare in order to
00:56:30pay for more support for Ukraine, in order to pay
00:56:33for uh... a bigger military are absolutely
00:56:37hated by the German people, so he's now had two
00:56:41absolutely catastrophic results uh, and
00:56:45of course even in the third result in Berlin, which wasn't quite so catastrophic, it
00:56:49was still nonetheless humiliating defeat, they've lost power in
00:56:53Berlin, so that's really uh, Mertz himself said
00:56:57these results were disaster, that's a little bit of an
00:57:00understatement, thank you so much for joining us on the program, always good to
00:57:04hear your thoughts, senior research fellow at the global policy institute in
00:57:07Budapest, thank you, thank you. multiple
00:57:11polling stations were open in Russian embassies in many locations for
00:57:15citizens abroad, and these were some the... scenes of voting locations
00:57:19around the world from Armenia to the UAE, Russians
00:57:23also actively cast their ballots in European countries. Some of
00:57:26those expatriates stress that it's important to express their position
00:57:30issues, even if they live outside their
00:57:32homeland. We must always express our
00:57:36civic stance, regardless the situation in the world or in our
00:57:40country, but right now, in 2026, it seems to me that the
00:57:44world is on the brink of very significant changes and Russia. has a duty
00:57:48to face them with dignity, that's why everyone should
00:57:50vote. we've lived here for very long time, and
00:57:54our families are here, that's all, but my heart and soul and my
00:57:58homeland are there, and i travel to Russia every year, so it's very
00:58:02important. i came here to support Russia, and our
00:58:06choice matters too, even for those of us living abroad, so that relations between
00:58:09Russia and France can be restored and improve. well, we're hoping for confirmation
00:58:13the Russian government's actions, which I believe most of us view as positive. a
00:58:17very complicated international geopolitical situation and the Russian
00:58:21government isn't doing a bad job at
00:58:23all. I believe in friendship. I want
00:58:27the two nations to be friends. My wife, for example, is German and I'm
00:58:31Russian. Why are there so many Russians here? 9 million
00:58:34Russian speakers, because our families are mixed. I believe we
00:58:38all can live in harmony. The crucial vote is also
00:58:42taking place in territories that are coming under daily attack, but
00:58:46despite the threat. by Ukraine, people say they're determined that
00:58:50their voices will be heard. The head the Donies Republic has cast his
00:58:54vote a local polling station, noting that he met quite a few people
00:58:58who wanted to vote in their first state dumer election.
00:59:01Artismour Gazdier reports on how the vote is being held under
00:59:05wartime conditions. Across two
00:59:08continents and 11 time zones, under ceaseless
00:59:12threat of attack, Russians vote for their new
00:59:16parliament.
00:59:27In their millions, despite constant threats from
00:59:31Ukraine, threats of prosecution and
00:59:34persecution just for vooting, attacks on
00:59:38pouling stations, fakes and Ukrainian
00:59:41propaganda. Yesterday and the day before,
00:59:45leaflets were dropped by drones across most. of our region,
00:59:48containing calls to block the electoral process and urging
00:59:52people not to participate in the elections. every day we are
00:59:56seeing a steady stream of two or three disinformation campaigns coming
01:00:00from the Ukrainian side, along with deep fakes and forged
01:00:03administrative documents. yet few are
01:00:06afraid, people are used to drones and
01:00:10missiles, verbal threats no longer carry
01:00:14the same weight. tell me, have you been intimidated?
01:00:17did Zelensky threaten you saying you shouldn't go to these
01:00:20elections, no way, he can't do
01:00:23anything, of course not, generally speaking it
01:00:27is very difficult to intimidate me, it's just not in my
01:00:30nature. God forbid, firstly, I don't recognize the
01:00:34landscate all, and I don't watch him on TV, as for scammers,
01:00:38they've already left me alone, we have lived too long to be
01:00:41intimidated, and that
01:00:45is my vote, one of tens of me. being cast
01:00:49around the donbus an environment where people are
01:00:53actively being threatened, where electoral
01:00:56officials are receiving death threats, their families, their
01:00:59children, but with every vote cast in the don
01:01:03bass, the people the Dumbas show
01:01:07that those threats don't scare them, not
01:01:10even strongly worded statements and
01:01:13condemnation could stop these elections and
01:01:17Today's meeting, the Central Electoral Commission adopted resolution declaring that
01:01:21the organization and conduct of elections for deputies to the state Duma the
01:01:25Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine are
01:01:29illegitimate. It is, of course, ironic that
01:01:32Ukraine forbids Ukrainians from voting in these
01:01:36Russian elections, because neither does it allow
01:01:40Ukrainians themselves any elections. They're too
01:01:43dangerous, says the former president of Ukraine.
01:01:48Elections as such are huge risk, elections right now are a tsunami
01:01:52which could split Ukraine, again the irony: Ukraine
01:01:56professes to be fighting for freedom and democracy, but
01:02:00says elections are too dangerous. Russia, which
01:02:04kier accuses of aggression and tyranny holds elections
01:02:07even in war. He's holding elections in
01:02:11September, he needs a united society that will support his united
01:02:14Russia. Zelensky on the other hand. doesn't need
01:02:18his society's support, his term expired two years
01:02:22ago and no one can do anything about
01:02:26it, he already controls all Ukrainian media.
01:02:30all newspapers and online publications, full
01:02:33spectrum propaganda, anyone who criticizes
01:02:37him can be sanctioned Ukrainian or otherwise,
01:02:41else sent a one way trip to the front
01:02:44lines, so elections, you want elections, ready to do it
01:02:48tomorrow, but if we have the war, it's you can't do
01:02:52it, what elections, how to make election with the 9 million people who
01:02:56are abroad, and what to do with the people who are
01:03:00temporary or live in temporary occupied
01:03:04territories. Europe, of course, will bend over backwards
01:03:07to accommodate Zelensky. Kaya Calas, the
01:03:11EU's diplomatic figure head, is never one to
01:03:15overthink it. Simple and cliche is her
01:03:18style. Putin hasn't had elections or Russia hasn't had
01:03:22elections in 25 years. Zelensky is
01:03:26elected leader, elected in the free and fair elections.
01:03:30"and of course, during a wartime, you can't have elections, Zelensky's
01:03:34corrupt ministers, his army heads simply
01:03:37don't mind, so long as the EU supports
01:03:41Zelensky, the aid money pours in,
01:03:45and it can be divided up and shared around
01:03:48between friends. The only concern is the people of
01:03:52Ukraine, forced brutally to fight a war,
01:03:56they don't want to fight in, by a president, they don't."
01:04:00want blasted by propaganda, they don't agree with,
01:04:04and there's nothing they can do about it, but day
01:04:08dream. We must find a legal, safe and realistic mechanism that will
01:04:12allow Ukraine to restore a full-fledged democratic process even
01:04:16under the conditions of a prolonged war. This is difficult, we must
01:04:20guarantee the right to vote for our military, for millions of Ukrainians
01:04:23abroad, and for those in the frontline regions. We must ensure the
01:04:27security the electoral process, independ.
01:04:29the and trust in the
01:04:33of institutions results. If Russia could do it, then so could Ukraine, and the
01:04:36only thing stopping elections in Ukraine is the former
01:04:40president, one Zelensky,
01:04:44just doesn't want to
01:04:45leave.
01:04:52Let's bring
01:04:52you the latest update on the preliminary results, remember the
01:04:56final figures won't be officially confirmed until next Friday.
01:05:00day: the current numbers after about 42% the ballots have been
01:05:04tallied are as follows: the ruling united
01:05:08Russia party is firmly in the lead with solid majority, the
01:05:12runner-up is the communist party with about 14%,
01:05:15and in third place is the liberal democratic party with a little
01:05:19over 9%. even though the road ting has wrapped up,
01:05:23there's still a lot to see, count and of course discuss. make sure you stay with
01:05:27us here on ART international for all the latest... Updates, we'll be back at
01:05:31the top the hour. See you
01:05:32then.
01:06:25Gentlemen, I confess myself increasingly disconcerted by the Russians
01:06:28rather alarming advance. is in Asia,
01:06:31indeed, word has reached us that they have of late dispatched
01:06:35their first steam ship to Bombay.
01:06:39India must remain
01:06:41hours.
01:06:48Their fews came true, the Russians really did come to
01:06:51India, but not as colonizers and we quickly
01:06:55found a common language.
01:07:18Hey everybody, welcome back to Moscow, welcome back to the Moscow Mules, I'm Shay Bows,
01:07:22joined by Oggy who's back in the hot seat uh directing
01:07:25operations on behalf the FS, excuse me the
01:07:29producer. Uh, and where are we going to start this week? Well, we've noticed a little
01:07:33trend, we've noticed the trend that uh, sometimes you need
01:07:36a big machine, a big movement to make any kind of change, and we think there's been
01:07:40a big, big movement. change in Germany, now we don't really
01:07:44care what you think about the AFD, what you think about the Global
01:07:48Homer, what you think, we don't really care, but we like to see democracy action
01:07:52right, cuz that's what's going to happen in Russia this week cuz there's a big election going on, but
01:07:56democracy is on the move as well in Germany, but the problem is it's
01:08:00not the kind of democracy that the democrats like or the liberals like, the
01:08:04liberals only like democracy when their guy wins, when the
01:08:07people decide they want change and they've had enough the global
01:08:11homo, they kind of... have a meltdown and in Germany they have really
01:08:14deployed the heavy troops now to try and stop the alternative for
01:08:18deutschland yes uh who are anti- war uh
01:08:21anti-eu and probably anti NATO uh they're probably pro
01:08:25common sense which is the most dangerous thing you can be and as I say
01:08:29when that happens oggy you got to roll out uh the big
01:08:33dogs literally check out this anti-Afd protest in
01:08:37Germany this is actually the best pro AFD
01:08:40advertisement I've ever seen in my life, run
01:08:44the video, it's the cream the crop
01:08:48the global homer, guess
01:08:49i
01:08:58like the part that they're actually trying to do the who, i've only got one thing
01:09:02to say, mine got in himel, now of course just
01:09:06like the rest the planet, everything is ass over
01:09:09tit, you know, everything's back to... front
01:09:13uh, the boys are the girls, the girls are the boys, the good guys are the bad guys, the bad guys
01:09:17are actually the good guys now, and in Germany uh, the
01:09:21left tirds, the libtards are all up in arms about AFD,
01:09:25of course, that's because the AFD are the nazis
01:09:28right, absolutely correct, actually have a question for you, riddle me
01:09:32this, how would you, if you're a
01:09:34european uh democratic elite, how would you call
01:09:38guys who want peace, prosperity and trade with?
01:09:43peace, prosperity, trade with Russia and everybody to be able to do what they
01:09:46want to do in private, well that's a nazi, of course, absolutely
01:09:50correct, now second question, how would you call guys
01:09:54who are supporting bandera worshipping literal
01:09:58nazis in Ukraine and want to drug
01:10:01everyone into world war i
01:10:03grinder,
01:10:08oh they're the heroes the liberty, democracy, freedom
01:10:12and...
01:10:17Correct, so you guys kind of
01:10:19get it right, upside down, ass overtate, let's have listen
01:10:22to the libtired lefties protesting against the
01:10:25AFD because they dare to get elected by the majority the
01:10:29people, how very dare you,
01:10:33release
01:10:35the cragon, check, check our haircut, dear comrades, take a look back at
01:10:39what has happened over the last three months, thinking
01:10:42about
01:10:43the words of this,
01:10:47long this hasn't been time, are an no
01:10:47a longer election campaign we just for simple party, we are a goddamn
01:10:51movement, now staying in the neighborhood, germany uh, one
01:10:55of its greatest neighbors and their best of friends now right, the
01:10:58German, the German franco friendship act, yeah, these
01:11:02dudes spent much the last two centuries
01:11:06murdering each other, right, the French and the Germans, they've
01:11:09been back and forth like the neighbors from literally,
01:11:13okay?
01:11:23but now you can carry distinguish foreign policy in Europe at
01:11:26all from Germany uh, you know, there's no great
01:11:30statesman,
01:11:31there is no great uh Jack Shirac, uh helmet
01:11:35Cole, they're all,
01:11:36you know, remnants from the past, much like uh,
01:11:40France's uh popularity. ratings for Mr.
01:11:44Macron, which are now remnants in the past, he's now down at what,
01:11:47uggy, the record low,
01:11:49what is he now? That's right, Chron's rating is now at
01:11:5216%, meaning much most the country hates him,
01:11:5616%, and merces is I think a
01:11:5912% now, I mean what, and they're complaining about the
01:12:03elections in Russia right, because Putin's on like 75% or something, they
01:12:07just can't deal with this stuff. Now, of course, talking about
01:12:11Putin, this
01:12:12is the go. to think to discuss when you're you know popularities are like
01:12:1616% or 12% basically lower than Napoleon's
01:12:20ankles right, you just got to talk about the Russians okay, it's the
01:12:23Russians, it's the Russians, now you've dog up very interesting
01:12:26video of uh Russian influence in
01:12:30Lyon right, this is the Russians fault right, and it's obvious for
01:12:34everybody to see that what's happening in Lyon in France is
01:12:37Russia's fault, merch's collapse of his economy, Russia's
01:12:41fault, Volkswagen. shutting down uh you know french
01:12:44uh show society, it's all Russia's fault and you can see
01:12:48that from this video, I i promise you can see it's written everywhere, run
01:12:52a
01:12:54uggy let's go uh was macht der typ hier look closer
01:12:57guys,
01:13:02heilige scheiße, ja
01:13:04leute, very
01:13:07russian, that's just the russian
01:13:11fault, it has to be rus, and of course it doesn't
01:13:14end, there's also a
01:13:17staging post for the russian invasion the united
01:13:21kingdom, panicking about, the russians are coming, get some canned food and
01:13:25bottle water and batteries for your torch, we've actually got some video
01:13:29of this Russian invasion preparation zone right, the the
01:13:32debarkm, the place where they're going to attack from, check this,
01:13:36run
01:13:42ugs, you see those three guys clearly russian, yeah, it's all
01:13:46russian,
01:13:53that's how the Russians. get into Europe, right? you saw it, my dear
01:13:57friends?
01:13:58yeah,
01:14:17yeah, it's completely playing for any objective observer to
01:14:20see. Putin's fingerprints are all over this stuff, of course. now, heading to
01:14:24you. train there is something that
01:14:26you know we can't deny is Russia's fault, they bombed the train
01:14:30that Bojo the butcher was on cuz you
01:14:33know they bond the train that you know Boris Johnson was on, because
01:14:37why? because why shouldn't they bond the train he's on? he's in Ukraine, he
01:14:41says it's a war zone, he says civilians are being targeted, which is all bull of
01:14:45course, he goes there, the train he was on, he wasn't on the train
01:14:49at the time that the Russians hit it, he freaks out about that, what
01:14:52an earth. possessed Putin to hit the
01:14:56train, well what the it's a war on, you, but
01:14:59the, they're bombing, we bomb, and you're complaining about it parts and by the way, it wouldn't be
01:15:03a warn at all if it wasn't for you, you snowy haired halfwait,
01:15:07anyway,
01:16:28Now of course being in Ukraine for this uh element the show,
01:16:32we can't leave Auggie right without you know allowing the
01:16:36Narco Fure to make some absolutely retarded
01:16:40nonsensical statement and he came up with beute this uh week
01:16:44which was when he said that the Ukrainian people and the American
01:16:48people should become one yeah
01:16:51cockhold I'm a cockhold that's great i
01:16:55idea: well,
01:16:55you know, considering that the Americans have paid for everything, including your toilet
01:16:59paper, your cocaine and your villa in Italy, uh,
01:17:03why not just go all the way and and get the marriage done? yeah, I'm
01:17:07sure most Americans watching this show will be
01:17:10absolutely delighted, right?
01:17:13yeah, but we wanted to have independent country, we
01:17:17have it, so we have to trust each
01:17:20other, Ukraine and Americans, and America
01:17:24has to... to defend democracies, if the
01:17:28democracy is asking, it's about the
01:17:32world, it's about the normal
01:17:35rules, it's like one people, some big nation has
01:17:39to defend small nations, so big nations need
01:17:43to defend small nations right, just like
01:17:46say the independent sort of uh territory of crimea, the
01:17:50voted to join russia when the Russian soldiers went there to make sure that the nazis in Kiev
01:17:54didn't. arrive or maybe lugansk people's
01:17:57republic uh donvas donjetzk who were declared
01:18:01independence like the Americans declared independence from the British etc
01:18:05etc uh so... "the Americans are are the
01:18:09Russians are doing exactly what Mr. Zelensky asked them to do, right? no problem there,
01:18:13right? yeah, but that's different. that's different. now, talking about
01:18:17big nations defending small ones, remember that Ukraine was
01:18:20essentially created by the Soviet Union, but the Soviets, right?
01:18:24back in the 1930s, the country of Ukraine didn't exist, its language, its culture
01:18:28didn't really exist, there was Ukrainization, yeah, for real,
01:18:32check it out, okay, so the Russians and the Soviets kind of made
01:18:36this whole thing up." and what they did was they actively invested in the
01:18:40Ukrainian language and schools, culture, national dress,
01:18:44etc. etc. they really did this, this was what happened, they created this frankenstein
01:18:48right, and that of course uggy has completely continued in
01:18:52free Ukraine post collapse the Soviet Union, they've been doing nothing but
01:18:56build bridges, schools, hospitals and massive infrastructure projects in
01:19:00Ukraine, particularly in education, right, absolutely correct, the
01:19:03education in Ukraine has been flowering, but
01:19:07for the global homo, because turns out, according to the new
01:19:10statistics, half the Ukrainian kids can't
01:19:14read, can't analyze complex texts or even draw
01:19:18simple conclusions, the education in Ukraine has completely
01:19:22collapsed, but what's on the rice are the nazi
01:19:25organizations that teach the kids to hate Russia? wow,
01:19:28wow, so this is like a absolute like the basics
01:19:32like algebra and adding practically reading and writing history,
01:19:36geography, the basics of education have been completely neglected, but the sort
01:19:40of uh nazi madras, these sort of
01:19:43ideology schools where you're creating super soldiers to go kill
01:19:47russians are getting all the cash, and guess what, we've got a
01:19:51little video to prove it, mean that's how average
01:19:55day in school looks like
01:19:56now,
01:20:07that's a Bavarian beer drinking song or something, very
01:21:27the team of Mr. Zelenski, promised to end the war, promised to end corruption,
01:21:31this actor, this fresh- faced dancer who danced for
01:21:34Vladimir Putin, who made all his money in Russia, of course uh Jewish
01:21:38kid who
01:21:39you know wanted everyone to be able to do whatever they want in the new free Ukraine
01:21:43yeah it all turned out perfectly well yeah Julia Mendel it
01:21:47was his poor person his spokes person and she knows
01:21:51him better than anybody anybody knows him I'd
01:21:55imagine spending days and days and weeks and weeks with him watching him
01:21:58uh she's a lot to say about him uh and we're very interested in what she
01:22:02has to say but the European parliament aren't they bard her from speaking
01:22:06there yeah I wonder why, I wonder
01:22:09why, I can't think, run the
01:22:12video, I ask God for forgiveness for helping this scum
01:22:15come to power, to be in power, that is why I simply
01:22:19cannot remain silent, because it seems to me that if I stay silent, I will never
01:22:23forgive myself, the scum is Zelensky, it is
01:22:26Zelensky, and how exactly did you participate in helping him become
01:22:30president? Well, when he came to power, well he couldn't even speak, he was
01:22:34afraid the media, so well, like I... organized the first
01:22:38interviews, i trained him, i explained how to do it, yes,
01:22:41mean, better late than never, right, she another russian
01:22:45stuge, another russian stuge, so as Mr.
01:22:48Zelensky's closest advisor and confidant, well, that's not in
01:22:52prison like Yermack, or
01:22:54the rest them uh, comes out and calls them scum, you got to look
01:22:57across the pond at the United States of America, at who the people are who are
01:23:01voting constantly to send this scum, Mr. Zelensky, according to
01:23:05his PR person uh, billions and billions of dollars, no
01:23:09questions asked, he's a hero, right? who are these people? the finest minds
01:23:13among us, huggy, right? the freshest, most dynamic bunch of
01:23:17people you could possibly find. yes, and what? better example than
01:23:21Mr. Mitch McConnell. Let's have look at him in the full
01:23:24springing dynamism of all health.
01:23:28These are the people in charge and these are the people making the laws in the
01:23:32United States of America. God help us.
01:23:36We're
01:24:03defended by big countries and democracy and freedom and all his boss in a country that
01:24:06hasn't had an election since 2019 run by dictator thief head of a crime
01:24:10syndicate yeah we've also seen the people in the United States of America who are in
01:24:14charge of taking your tax dollars stealing them and sending them down the golden
01:24:18toilet and let's have look at what happens in these countries that
01:24:22get the uh you know freed out them let's say that's probably the way
01:24:26to look at this right crap out of a country and this is what
01:24:51'well, but sadly that isn't the reality in Syria after
01:24:55Hillary Clintonization, a bit of Libya, a bit of -
01:24:59you know, Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, you know the story,
01:25:03here's what it really looks like now after that horrible man Assad had to
01:25:07flee, yeah,
01:25:08run, look, there's
01:25:12fires everywhere, it's as if Syrians are
01:25:16unhappy with their new democracy'.
01:25:22yeah, who would have thought that people in Syria might get upset because
01:25:26diesel costs like 50 bucks a gallon or something?
01:25:30how dare they? you know, it's not like uh, you
01:25:33know, oil products and it's got so much natural
01:25:37resources there, like oh yeah, it does.
01:25:41next, that brings the end of yet another episode the show. we
01:25:45love making it, we love you joining us and joining us on social media, please keep talking
01:25:49to us, we love. to hear what you got to say. now what we noticed this week
01:25:53is that the democrats and the people who are obsessed with freedom,
01:25:56democracy, liberty, uh, and war, are just that,
01:26:00they're only really obsessed with you doing what they
01:26:04say. if you dare to do what they don't say, which is be
01:26:08against war, uh, war with Russia, uh,
01:26:12constantly floating money into a dictatorship in Ukraine, they don't
01:26:16like that kind of democracy, just like the AFD in Germany, so we believe there is...
01:26:20there is hope that when people stand up get together and say enough of this
01:26:24b uh things can change and it looks like things are going to be
01:26:27changing pretty quickly in germany and we're going to be here same time
01:26:31same place to narrated along with you
01:26:34we got your back you got ours everything's going to be just fine and
01:26:37dandy we see you same time same place next week until then look
01:26:41after each other and look after
01:26:44yours
01:27:01Since World War II, the United States has
01:27:05fostered extremist anti-Russian prejudices
01:27:08and hatreds among the Ukrainian diaspora in
01:27:12at least Canada, uh, the United States and
01:27:16countries in Eastern Europe, probably everywhere in the world.
01:28:25In 1918, the countries the west won the final
01:28:28victory over the Ottoman Empire, the Sultan's government.
01:28:32capitulated to the entante and signed the humiliating
01:28:36armistice of Mudros. Great
01:28:40Britain, France, and Italy wanted not only to destroy the
01:28:44Ottoman Empire, but also to divide the primordially
01:28:48Turkish lands among themselves. In 1919,
01:28:51their armies began to land on Turkish territory, but the
01:28:55West decided to choose Greece as the main striking force,
01:28:59seeking to make others realize its aggressive.
01:29:04plans, foreign intervention provoked mass indignation among the Turkish
01:29:08people. The National Liberation struggle was led
01:29:11by the experienced general Mustafa Kamal
01:29:14Atatur. In order to bear down the enemy, he
01:29:18banked on the mobilization the nation and the alliance with
01:29:22Russia, which acted as a united front with Turkish
01:29:25Patriots. At the end of August 1922,
01:29:29Ataturk's army won decisive victory over the... invaders
01:29:33in the battle of Dumelepinar and within a
01:29:36month liberated all Asia minor from them. The
01:29:40impressive success the Turkish Army forced the west to
01:29:44make concessions. In 1923, the
01:29:47lasan peace treaty was signed. Turkey, one
01:29:51the first countries in Asia, managed to defeat the colonial
01:29:55empires and defend its independence, becoming an
01:29:59example for millions the oppressed on the planet.
01:30:25Russia's first parliamentary elections since the beginning the Ukraine
01:30:29conflict have wrapped up and the counting the votes has.
01:30:32commenced. There's still a lot to see and discuss as the final figures won't be
01:30:36officially confirmed until next Friday. We're bringing you our
01:30:40special coverage as the world's geographically biggest country, as
01:30:44his democratics say. With the
01:30:48first preliminary results coming in, the Ruling United Russia party is
01:30:52firmly top with solid majority. The runner-up is the communist
01:30:56party with almost 14%, and the Liberal Democratic
01:30:59Party is in third with close to nine.
01:31:02percent. Moscow says Kiev tried to undermine
01:31:06the elections with a massive attack. There's almost 200 drones and
01:31:10missiles were intercepted a single day. The targeted assault on the
01:31:14Russian capital left several people
01:31:16dead.
01:31:25A warm welcome to you, this is ART International. As always, it's great to
01:31:29have you with us. Well, this has been the third and final. day of
01:31:32voting in Russia's parliamentary elections, polls have closed

01:31:40results are already coming in. RT has been keeping close tap on
01:31:44the developments and bringing you all the latest updates as part of our special
01:31:48coverage.
01:31:59well, even though the polls have closed, there's still a lot to see. count and discuss
01:32:03as the final figures won't be officially confirmed until next
01:32:07Friday. Currently here are the preliminary
01:32:10results after about 47% the ballots have been tallied.
01:32:14The ruling United Russia party is firmly in the lead with solid
01:32:18majority. The runner-up is the communist party with about
01:32:2214%. In third place is the Liberal Democratic
01:32:25Party with close to 9%. Well for more
01:32:29details on the elections, let's bring in our corresp'.
01:32:34joining us from our studio just outside the kremlin, nasty, good
01:32:38to see you, so we know the votes are still being counted, what
01:32:42else can you tell us about the latest
01:32:44developments? well,
01:32:48Nikki, it's past 1 am here in the Russian Capital, we do in
01:32:52fact have the most beautiful spot for this special
01:32:55coverage, as we know the the vote counting is currently in
01:32:59full swing, we also know that the turnout had exceeded
01:33:0356% and um busy three days for
01:33:07everyone taking part in the organization process, but a more
01:33:11busy night awates ahead those who are counting those
01:33:14votes. um, nevertheless, russian security council uh
01:33:18deputy chair and the leader the United
01:33:22Russia party Dmitri Medved received a mandate from the
01:33:25electorate and stated that new chapter is ahead.
01:33:29Let's take a listen to that. This
01:33:33is a real result, but at the same time it marks the start of a great deal of
01:33:37work. We must now put into practice the president's decisions and
01:33:41the policy set out by our leader, vladimir.
01:33:45receiv such a mandate from the electorate, we must now set about
01:33:48implementing our national program and those programs that will be adopted
01:33:52in the regions. this is huge task, but at the same
01:33:56time
01:33:56i have no doubt whatsoever that our party as responsible political
01:34:00force and the country's leading political force will rise to the
01:34:04challenge, just as our entire country will rise to the challenge it now
01:34:08faces. we will prevail. there is no doubt about
01:34:11that.
01:34:16My colleague
01:34:17Aila Kudrava is joining me right here in our beautiful studio in
01:34:21the central Moscow and Aila so you've just
01:34:25returned from the uh central election committee uh
01:34:29what has it been like and what do we know so far about the results that
01:34:33are coming in? well of course the polling stations have
01:34:36closed nationwide and the preliminary results are
01:34:40now in now the voter turnout across the country reached
01:34:4456 .66% and so
01:34:47far 47.72% of
01:34:51votes have been accounted. now let me just give you a quick
01:34:55breakdown the leading five parties. we begin with
01:34:59the all-russian political party United Russia which got the
01:35:02most votes that is over 57%.
01:35:06in second place is the communist party the Russian federation that is
01:35:10CPRF for short uh got the second highest number of votes
01:35:14of over 13%. Then we have the
01:35:18Liberal Democratic Party of Russia or LDPR with
01:35:22over 8% of votes and the new people political party in
01:35:26fourth place with over 7%. uh, in fifth
01:35:30place is the Socialist political party adjust Russia with
01:35:34over 5% of votes. Now the leading three candidates for
01:35:38each individual constituency have now also been
01:35:41announced uh and importantly there are 200 and
01:35:4525 individual constituencies in Russia and of
01:35:49course uh 16 in Moscow alone, now one candidate will
01:35:53be elected per constituency. so we've heard lot about
01:35:57how the votes are being counted uh and everything, but
01:36:00um, can you actually break it down for us and give us more
01:36:04details about how it actually like this voting system
01:36:08actually works? of course, so out the
01:36:11450 deputies being elected half.
01:36:15of those deputies are elected through party lists and the other half that is
01:36:19225 deputies are elected in single
01:36:23member constituencies. now in casting their vote for a specific
01:36:26candidate to represent the area in the state Duma,
01:36:30Russian citizens choose from uh well between around seven
01:36:34eight candidates per area and the total number of
01:36:37candidates making the federal lists um across Russia in
01:36:41these elections is around 1,7
01:36:45100
01:36:46people now some of those candidates making the federal lists are
01:36:49independent uh and importantly in these
01:36:52elections, some the candidates making the federal lists are veterans
01:36:56the special military operation. now in those
01:37:00three days the election we had more than uh
01:37:0490,000 polling stations open across the
01:37:07country uh and the total number of registered voters
01:37:11in Moscow is over 7,800 thousand people.
01:37:15nationwide uh the number is more than
01:37:18111 million. now in the course
01:37:21of this election, people have been able to cast their vote both in
01:37:25person and online, really being able to vote in various ways and
01:37:29those that have not been able to uh vote in person have
01:37:33been able to vote from home, so there were indeed many ways for Russian
01:37:37citizens to participate in the elections here, and it is
01:37:40worth noting that uh almost 400,00
01:37:44observers were present at these elections nationwide
01:37:48now with the polls now closed and of course the the
01:37:52preliminary results now in we are waiting the final
01:37:55results of this election which will be announced by the central
01:37:59election commission uh before the 5th of October so you've just
01:38:03mentioned that uh how there were many different ways in
01:38:07which uh voters could have cast their ballots and you've mentioned the online
01:38:11version this is actually the one that I used myself uh but you know um I want to
01:38:15take this further because we know that Russia is an enormous country
01:38:18stretching over 11 time zones and for the first time in uh
01:38:22Russia's modern history um the four new regions are
01:38:26taking part and have taken part in this stateum elections and this is the
01:38:30Doniesk people's republic the Lugansk People's Republic Zaparoji and
01:38:33Hirson region and of course in light of all of this the
01:38:37Kief um has ramped up their attacks on uh Russian
01:38:41territories uh including Moscow uh specifically just
01:38:45Overnight, according to the mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sabanyan,
01:38:49uh, over 100, 1,600 drones have been
01:38:52shot down and 450 them
01:38:55uh were actually heading uh Moscow's way, and to that
01:38:59unprecedented attack, I think it's very important to have a lesson to what
01:39:03the Russian defense ministry had to say. For to
01:39:07undermine the democratic will the citizens the Russian Federation, as
01:39:10expressed in the elections to the state Duma the Federal Assembly
01:39:14the Russian Federation. The Kiev regime launched a massive
01:39:18attack on the territory the Russian Federation on September
01:39:2119th and 20th of this year, using UAVs and
01:39:25Flamingo cruise missiles. In response to the Kiev regime's
01:39:29attacks on civilian targets on Russian territory, the armed forces the
01:39:33Russian Federation will intensify their strikes with high precision
01:39:37weapons against military targets in
01:39:39Kiev. Something that
01:39:42unfortunately cannot go unnoticed are of course the
01:39:46casualties. We know that um two children, three
01:39:49children have been wounded and two people have unfortunately been killed
01:39:53in Moscow region due to the attacks and ...
01:39:57I want to take this further and actually ask you a question regarding
01:40:01the um the general keys attacks and attempts to disrupt
01:40:05the uh election process um have there been any other
01:40:09attempts that we know of now when it comes to the
01:40:12elections themselves everything went smoothly the
01:40:16elections were held in a full compliance with the law we of
01:40:20course saw a high voter turnout as well which just serves
01:40:24as proof of that fact and there hasn't been a
01:40:27successful attack on the elections, however, of
01:40:31course, there have been attempts um, as you said there, of
01:40:35course, over 1,600 drones have been shot
01:40:39down over the Russian capital and Moscow region
01:40:42overnight, and Russian Security Council deputy
01:40:46chair and leader the leading
01:40:49United Russia party, Dimitrie Midved said that those
01:40:53attacks had the opposite effect to one initially in.
01:41:00Over the past few days, the opponent has made titanic, colossal
01:41:04efforts to undermine the outcome the elections, but as has
01:41:08rightly been said, this has only served to unite the voters, to
01:41:12unite our people. This is, I suppose, the most important outcome of
01:41:15this
01:41:16election.
01:41:20Now, we of course also seen continued intimidation
01:41:24of election commission members and as we know,
01:41:27today uh, earlier today, two people were killed in a drone attack
01:41:31a civilian bus in the Hirson region. One the
01:41:35victims uh was member the Precinct Electoral Commission
01:41:39in the Hirson region who was involved in conducting um in in the
01:41:43conducting of early voting in one of its
01:41:47electoral districts. Now this was reported by the central
01:41:50election commission Chief Ella Pomfilova who also
01:41:54spoke of course on cyber attacks that is over
01:42:05Over the past period, more than waves of ddos attacks were recorded
01:42:09against infrastructure in the Russian Federation that is specifically involved in the
01:42:12electoral process. Thankfully, there were no successful
01:42:16attacks despite their intensity and power. At the same time, the
01:42:20level of impact is assessed as very high. The attacks were carried
01:42:24out by highly professional, well coordinated groups using artificial.
01:42:27intelligence tools, the attacks were launched primarily from
01:42:31abroad, where did they come from? the United Kingdom, Ukraine,
01:42:35Brazil, Indonesia, and even India. Thank God, all the
01:42:38attacks were successfully
01:42:40repelled.
01:42:45What we're seeing of course as well, is essentially fake news being
01:42:48spread about the fairness these elections here in Russia, such as reports
01:42:52of observers being refused entry into polling
01:42:55stations, but of course we do. know that only 23 complaints have been
01:42:59received in regards to difficulties in exercising the rights of
01:43:03observers, three of which were received in the last day of
01:43:06elections. now the central election commission deals with these
01:43:10complaints immediately, and that is an important fact to
01:43:14mention. now with the elections concluded, we can certainly say that
01:43:18indeed there have been attempts to undermine the electoral
01:43:22process here in Russia. however, in the words of
01:43:25Dmitri Midved, they have produced an opposite effect where
01:43:29people have become more active in casting their votes over
01:43:32these past few days. you it's heartbreaking to
01:43:36see how Ukraine and the Kiev regime are trying will have tried to
01:43:40disrupt these elections uh a democratic country
01:43:44that some people of which headed to
01:43:47uh the uh headed to cast their votes and generally
01:43:51especially when it comes in light of um Zelensky's refusal to
01:43:55hold presidential election in his own country, citing martial law,
01:43:59citing the 9 million Ukrainians aboard, so
01:44:03but nevertheless once again, um, Russians have voted,
01:44:06we are um keeping very close eye as the as the
01:44:10votes are currently being counted and thank you for bringing us the
01:44:13details. so that's all from us for now, Nikki
01:44:17and over to you. many thanks to both of you for keeping us fully
01:44:21updated. earlier we spoke with a professor at Russia's academy of
01:44:25labor and social relations who said that Moscow has proven that
01:44:29elections can be held under wartime
01:44:31conditions. there is no doubt that these are unique
01:44:35elections in the history of modern Russia, because in the literal sense the
01:44:38word, they are taking place. during a state of conflict. On Sunday,
01:44:42the Ukrainian terrorist regime launched attack on Moscow. In terms
01:44:46the number of drones involved, it was unprecedented. Nevertheless, we
01:44:50must pay tribute to the staff of all polling station committees, not
01:44:54only in the capital, but throughout the country, particularly in the so-called
01:44:58new or historic constituent entities the Russian
01:45:01Federation. They have withstood with honor the pressure, the risks and all
01:45:05the difficulties that have fallen upon their shoulders. They have ensured the legality
01:45:09the electtor. process, they've ensured transparency.
01:45:12I know just how extensive this work was. Many thanks to all those
01:45:16people thanks to whom our parliament will be legitimate and will continue to
01:45:20function. Russia is demonstrating to the whole world that conducting military
01:45:24operations is no obstacle to establishing legitimate
01:45:27authorities. Yes, there is undoubtedly a threat to security. We have
01:45:31even lost the chair of local electoral commission in the Zaparoji
01:45:35region. Nevertheless, this is task of national importance.
01:45:38It is no less closely. to ensuring national security than say the
01:45:42work the army or the air defense forces. we need legitimate
01:45:46state doomer because it is responsible for passing laws and it was
01:45:50essential to elect the members of this state doomer even in such
01:45:54difficult and challenging times. further more, the very fact that these elections
01:45:57are taking place reveals one indisputable truth: Ukraine
01:46:01is deliberately refusing to hold its own parliamentary and presidential
01:46:05elections, simply because its political elite fears losing power and
01:46:09is using marshall law as a pretext which suits them very
01:46:12well, we on the other hand, are demonstrating that even in areas where
01:46:16marshall law is currently inforce where gunfire can be heard and drones
01:46:20are flying, it is technically possible to hold elections. all that is
01:46:24needed is the political will, and our leadership has
01:46:27it. our correspondent egos danov is
01:46:31reporting from one the headquarters of United Russia, as the
01:46:35country's ruling party is firmly leading the race. the
01:46:39atmosphere. certainly has been cheerful here, there's other word for it, and after
01:46:43all, if you look at the caliber of people that United Russia
01:46:47can show on its roaster, well, it certainly can't
01:46:50complain in that department, here we've spoken to heroes of Russia, to
01:46:54decorated officers, veterans the special military
01:46:58operation of in Ukraine, it's acting senators, acting
01:47:02MPs, you name it, they all have gathered here to
01:47:06together find out the outcome of this election,
01:47:10and well to finally find themselves victorious in
01:47:14this race, it has been a long, rather long race,
01:47:18after all people have been voting for three days and and well again
01:47:21the turnout has been quite significant, it has been
01:47:25larger than five years ago, and they
01:47:29you know the people, the people of this party of United Russia,
01:47:33its members, they have spoken openly about how happy
01:47:37they are that people chose to go and vote. that they
01:47:40utilized these uh, you know, all the electronic uh
01:47:43methods that have been there available for the general population,
01:47:47for the low mobility people in hospitals and so to
01:47:51to vote without having to go to the polling
01:47:55station, without having you know without having to physically appear at
01:47:58the polling booths, and especially they have talked about
01:48:02how people in the new regions of Russia, people in the border regions of
01:48:06Russia, and I'm talking about the border regions
01:48:09the ones that border. with Ukraine of course that they were unfaced
01:48:13by the threats, they were unphazed by the constant threats of drones, of
01:48:17missile attacks, and they went and voted and voted on
01:48:21mass. after all, if you look at the turnout in the Lugansk People's Republican, in the
01:48:25Dunetsk People's Republic, those turnouts, they have been quite
01:48:28spectacular, well above the average across the
01:48:31country, and in fact I asked the senator representing the
01:48:35Lugansk people's republic, I asked her, darial Lantratova, I
01:48:39asked her, what she thinks about it, what she thinks about the
01:48:43people who still in her hometown, in her home
01:48:47region, they went and they decided to participate in
01:48:51this first election that they that they could really take part in
01:48:55as part of Russia, and here's what she had to
01:48:57say, indeed the turnout is
01:49:00unprecedentedly high in the Dunetsk and Lugansk Republics at
01:49:04about 80%. For the people, this is indeed very important
01:49:07event, another step on the path of...
01:49:11Russia because the residts the reunited historical regions are electing their
01:49:14representatives and parliament members
01:49:16for the first time. Indeed, there were many provocations and dangers.
01:49:20We have once again been convinced that our people. cannot be intimidated, they
01:49:24steadfastly withstood these trials. our adversary targeted
01:49:27energy and civil infrastructure with attacks intended to intimidate our
01:49:31people, to force them not to go to the polling stations to jeopardizing the
01:49:35entire voting process. and well the
01:49:39threat, it was as real as it gets, after all, at least one member
01:49:42the electoral committee was killed in the Ukrainian strike in the
01:49:46zapora region of Russia, and so really people,
01:49:50they did risk literally risk their... lives to go
01:49:53and have a have a go a democratic say that they have
01:49:57now as part of Russia, but they weren't the only ones uh you know taking
01:50:01this risk. Moscow uh was targeted by Ukrainian
01:50:05uh long-ranged uh attack uh over the
01:50:08past over the past three days really there was several waves these attacks
01:50:12and you had also international observers working
01:50:16at the polling stations and they took note of
01:50:20Russia's you know how Russia has digitalized the voting
01:50:24process and they were quite impressed, they some uh some uh
01:50:27delegates, some uh, well some the representatives the
01:50:31African, of some African nations, they well, they said that they
01:50:34might seek to adopt some of that
01:50:38technology,
01:50:39and you bring them to, bring this technology to their home
01:50:43country. I asked an acting MP, Peter stoy as to
01:50:46what he thinks about th this representation when it comes to
01:50:50international observers, and uh, the general, you know,
01:50:53digitalization the vote here in Russia, what he, here's what he had to
01:50:57say. We have a large team of international
01:51:01observers working in these elections and not just in Moscow. Everyone has
01:51:05noted how far Russia has advanced in terms of technology for organizing the
01:51:09electoral process. This is transparent and verificable for
01:51:12voters.
01:51:13It is easy to understand and most importantly convenient for people to use. For
01:51:17us, it absolutely does not matter whether our former western partners
01:51:21recognize the elections or not. every day they tell stories about how
01:51:24bad we are, what monsters we are, and this entire wave of russophobia, I'm
01:51:28sure, will also spill over into the finalization the election
01:51:32results. For us, the most important thing is that the elections are recognized as fair and
01:51:36objective by our citizens, by our Russian voters. Our
01:51:39legitimacy lies in the citizens of Russia and their voice, the trust the people is a
01:51:43politician's greatest asset. Now, there's
01:51:47still, there is going to be few days that the Russian electoral committee will
01:51:51take to... finalize the counter of all the votes, but it
01:51:55is already pretty clear that United Russia it is
01:51:59quite comfortably in the lead, well over 50% the
01:52:02public support, they have it, and so this leader
01:52:06Dimitri Metvedev has already said addressing people here
01:52:10in in the people's in the public support HQ the United
01:52:14Russia party, he has said that now that they know that they
01:52:18have this public support, well they now United Russia
01:52:22can be... more ambitious and it can really pursue
01:52:25everything that it stands for and uh
01:52:28really try and put forward their
01:52:32vision, bring closer their vision of success for
01:52:36Russia. multiple polling stations were open
01:52:40in Russian embassies in many locations for citizens abroad.
01:52:44these are some the scenes at voting stations around the world from
01:52:47Armenia to the UAE. Russians also actively cast their
01:52:51ballots in Europe. countries, some of those expatriates stress
01:52:55that it's important to express their position issues, even if they live
01:52:59outside their homeland. We
01:53:02must always express our civic stance, regardless the situation
01:53:06in the world or in our country, but right now, in 2026, it
01:53:10seems to me that the world is on the brink of very significant changes, and
01:53:14Russia has a duty to face them with dignity. That's why everyone should
01:53:18vote.
01:53:22families are here, that's all, but my heart and soul and my homeland are
01:53:26there, and I travel to Russia every year, so it's very
01:53:29important, I came here to support Russia, and our
01:53:33choice matters too, even for those of us living abroad, so that relations between
01:53:37Russia and France can be restored and improved. Well, we're hoping for confirmation
01:53:41the Russian government's actions, which I believe most of us view as positive a
01:53:45very complicated, international geopolitical situation, and the Russian
01:53:49government isn't doing a bad job at all.
01:53:53I believe in friendship. I want the two nations to be friends. My wife, for
01:53:57example, is German, and I'm Russian. Why are there so many Russians
01:54:01here? 9 million Russian speakers, because our families are
01:54:04mixed. I believe we all can live in harmony. And these
01:54:08images were from several countries in southeast Asia
01:54:12where Russian citizens were able to vote. In particular, these were the
01:54:16scenes at polling stations in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines
01:54:19and Laos as well as Singapore and
01:54:35and we uh from my point of view every russian
01:54:39citizen should vote uh for their
01:54:42future. i think it's really important to take part in this
01:54:45election because like uh we need
01:54:49to express our uh opinion and
01:54:53yeah this is really important for as a first time
01:54:57like voting here.
01:54:58it is really important for Russian people abroad to take part
01:55:02in these elections. uh as it is
01:55:05very but to express
01:55:09fair will, a political will uh so that
01:55:13community in Russia, Russia people and international
01:55:17community would know our political
01:55:20will, our uh willing to
01:55:23participate into political
01:55:25life in our
01:55:28country. I believe that this assembly of state
01:55:32Duma deputies is very important for our country.
01:55:41to vote because I
01:55:43I came believe every citizen has a duty to express their opinion and in my view every
01:55:47vote counts. So let's bring you up to speed
01:55:50on the latest update on the preliminary results, remember the final
01:55:54figures won't be officially confirmed until next Friday. Right
01:55:58now with over half of all federal ballots tallied, here's the
01:56:02standing so far, the ruling united. Russia party is
01:56:06firmly in the lead with solid majority, the runner up is the communist
01:56:10party with about 14% of votes counted, and in third
01:56:14place is the liberal democratic party with close to
01:56:179%. Even though the voting has wrapped up, the still a lot to
01:56:21see, count and discuss, so you got to make sure you stay with us here on
01:56:24RT international for all the latest updates. We're back at the top the
01:56:28hour.
01:56:54Take a fresh look around at life, colydoscopic, isn't
01:56:57it? A shattered reality distorted by
01:57:01power, tired vision with no. real
01:57:05opinions, pictures designed to
01:57:09simplify or confuse, who really wants a
01:57:12better world, and is it just for the chosen
01:57:15few? fractured images presented as
01:57:19fact, can you see through their illusions? going
01:57:23underground,
01:57:23can?
01:57:37There was a time indeed when we were quite accustomed
01:57:41to having half the globe dance to our
01:57:44tune.
01:57:48Who could possibly have imagined that in the 21st
01:57:51century? I would find myself being obliged to
01:57:55dance.
01:58:03We taught India to speak.
01:58:29failed to prevent genocide in Gaza, the UN continues its impotance when
01:58:33it comes to wars in Europe and on Iran, how is it possible that
01:58:36India is not on the UN security council when a US vassel like
01:58:40Britain can veto resolutions amist billions feeling the price pain
01:58:44from the straight of Homus and Babel Mandeb. I'm afshan ratanzi, welcome to
01:58:48new
01:58:48order.
01:58:59There'll be no Putin at the UN general assembly, but his friends Shijin Ping and
01:59:03Modi will be in the USA. Shigin. said to beat Trump on
01:59:06Thursday and he does so when for the first time in around 150 years China
01:59:10has a bigger economy than the USA by PPP. Did
01:59:14Trump see Modi hold hands with Iran's president Pegeshkin at the Bricks
01:59:18meeting in Delhi, will Trump tell him off or is India like
01:59:21China just too powerful now to order around and what
01:59:25role does diminish Western Europe have to play now? It is been all but
01:59:29bankrupted by its financial backing for corrupt Kiev. We're still a
01:59:33world where a USA are mired in Epsteen Carnage, can
01:59:37openly assassinate or kidnap world leaders at will, but who has the courage
01:59:41to do anything about it? from New Delhi to New York, the question is no
01:59:44longer now who has the most power, but to gets to
01:59:48shape what comes next? new order Zara khan will be on later to
01:59:52answer your questions posted on social media. first on new order. i'm joined from washington
01:59:56dc by professor anatole leven, director the eurasia program at the Quinty
02:00:00institute. professor anatole levan, welcome to new
02:00:03order. so uh, people talking about the UN general
02:00:06assembly. mean, do you think it has been weakened in some
02:00:10ways? given that we had the Delhi bricks uh
02:00:13summit, and um, i think you've said that any...
02:00:17us china conflict would uh lead to the end the
02:00:21UN? yes, I mean, the decline the UN
02:00:25has been one the saddest spectacles, I think uh,
02:00:29over the past generation, and that has really very much
02:00:32been the work of Washington, um, both
02:00:35under, above all under republican, but also under democratic
02:00:39administrations, which really have set out to to cripple and
02:00:42sideline the UN, because of course,
02:00:45the UN is... one place that the US
02:00:49cannot fully control, it can veto
02:00:53uh, but um, repeatedly on the subject
02:00:57of Israel, most notably, you have had huge majorities in the general
02:01:00assembly, voting against the US, the US has been and
02:01:04Israel have been almost completely isolated,
02:01:07obviously the United Nations has opposed
02:01:11series of American military operations,
02:01:15and um, so I think... wasting set out to
02:01:18render the UN irrelevant um
02:01:22and has to a great extent succeeded, though I must say even
02:01:26so I'm surprised for example by how completely
02:01:29absent uh Gutierres, the present UN sec
02:01:33secretary general has been from the Ukraine conflict,
02:01:37where I think there was a possibility the UN
02:01:40playing very useful role, which it is not even tried to
02:01:44do. Yeah, I think
02:01:46I mean he did condemn. uh for what it was worth the uh
02:01:49attacks on Iran by the Trump uh Netanyahu
02:01:53coalition, but I suppose it didn't really matter much
02:01:57either way, interesting that India want to place on the security
02:02:01council and there has been at last some kind of India,
02:02:05China reproschm that uh we witnessed in um
02:02:08in Delhi, well I mean that is the only
02:02:12path for India to membership of uh the UN
02:02:16security council is if china would drop its objections, because I
02:02:19don't think you would see the Americans, the British, the French, all the Russians
02:02:23of course, um, opposing it, it is China that is the big
02:02:27problem, and there, yes, I
02:02:31mean, above all due to the
02:02:35um, the US Israeli attack on Iran and its
02:02:37consequences for India and for Asia in
02:02:40general, we certainly do, as as the Brick Summit
02:02:43demonstrated, see a considerable warming of relations between in.
02:02:47in China um, but there is still this
02:02:51damnable issue the contested frontier or
02:02:54frontiers in the Himalayas, um, and if that can't be solved
02:02:58and it given present positions it looks
02:03:01insoluble, there will always be
02:03:04a kind of
02:03:07ultimate barrier to full cooperation between China and it's
02:03:11in the interest the United States to stoke that off, I mean they're no false
02:03:15flags, but I mean no...
02:03:17or any false flags, but there certainly the people the CIA
02:03:21would be thinking, it would be nice if India and China were fighting
02:03:24there, certainly, but then
02:03:27again, um, obviously, I mean one the reasons why
02:03:31India
02:03:32is is moving towards China is that under
02:03:35Trump,
02:03:36the the US and Israel, you Israel also having
02:03:39become close partner of Narendra Modi's
02:03:43India, have shown total contempt for Indian
02:03:47interests. Uh, Indians have always stressed to me that uh, secure
02:03:50energy exports from the Gulf, and including
02:03:54from Iran, are vital
02:03:57interest of India, because of India's dependence on these
02:04:00imports. There is no evidence that Trump and Netanyahu when they
02:04:04launched this war, paid a second's notice, I mean, not
02:04:08just the interest of India, of course, the interests of um, anywhere else
02:04:11either, but clearly, I mean, for Delhi to have been treated
02:04:15with such ostentatious... contempt by
02:04:19Washington and Tel Aviv is going to have consequences for Indian behavior and
02:04:23attitudes. You think the Trump administration even
02:04:26understand the importance to India of Chabaha port in Iran which
02:04:30has been bombed uh they're repairing it as far as I understand
02:04:34it, but you believe that that will further improve relations
02:04:38between India and
02:04:41uh uh well India and Iran, let alone India, Russia and
02:04:44China. Well, I think it's bound. to
02:04:48um, I mean, I, I didn't suppose
02:04:51Trump, never heard
02:04:55of, the ignorance of Trump and some of his talk
02:04:59and people, company. simply
02:04:59Hegs cannot be exaggerated, and the rest the
02:05:03American establishment either just salutes and falls into
02:05:07line, um, or is so
02:05:10tied to Israeli interests that they don't give a damn, I
02:05:14mean,
02:05:15you know, what this has demonstrated is
02:05:19that um, and this by the way is not as true of India, it's true of
02:05:22Europe, it's true of Britain, um, compared to
02:05:26Israel, other country is
02:05:29in the end of much serious concern to a large part the
02:05:33Washington establishment, that is beginning to change because
02:05:37Israel, has made itself so unpopular, especially it's beginning to
02:05:41change in the democratic party, but it hasn't changed at the top the
02:05:45republican party yet, there are republican dissidents like Tucker
02:05:49Carlson, yes, but not the um, not the
02:05:53the Republican mainstream, yeah, people can watch our interview Carlson
02:05:56on going underground, negotiations of course are off.
02:06:00table as regards uh
02:06:03Ukraine, Russia appears to be saying,
02:06:06so uh, India, importing Russian energy at record
02:06:09levels, the the US sanction threat, I mean it doesn't matter
02:06:13what the United States threaten about sanctions, it doesn't matter at all,
02:06:17um, Europe of course, and Britain, um, I don't know how long
02:06:20they they can cope without Russian energy,
02:06:24well, and of course Trump had to beg the Ukrainians
02:06:28to stop attacking Russian. diesel production uh
02:06:31because um diesel prices in the United States are
02:06:35are surging um and it's when of course
02:06:39Americans start to suffer from an international
02:06:43crisis that the American government begins to pay notice
02:06:47and clearly this could have critical effect in losing the
02:06:50Republicans the um the midterm congressional elections
02:06:54in November uh I mean an
02:06:57interesting question is whether... the Europeans will go
02:07:01on or intensify seazures of Russians,
02:07:05Russia's so-called shadow fleet, um, they would of course
02:07:09be insane to do so with uh the given what's happening in the
02:07:13Gulf and now the Red Sea and the threat, I mean they are secretly
02:07:17importing Russian oil anyway, these western European powers and Britain,
02:07:21of course they are, and there's just been an an exception for for Greece to
02:07:25be allowed to transport Russian oil, I mean there there is utter hypocrisy in
02:07:29the European. position um
02:07:32and therefore I think that probably the seizures the the
02:07:36shadow fleet will remain um
02:07:39symbolic uh, I certainly hope so, because I mean there have been
02:07:43some very blood curdling Russian threats of how Russia will
02:07:47respond if um if these seisures continue. Yeah, having
02:07:50said that, Russia didn't really respond to
02:07:54many the provocations, do you think the
02:07:58Russian leadership? think that uh that's what those
02:08:02western European powers desire them, therefore they're not going to give it to
02:08:06them uh, because time and time again, we haven't seen the Russian
02:08:10response that, well many in Russia
02:08:13increasingly uh oppose Putin want
02:08:17to happen, yes, I mean, well, I
02:08:21mean, what is clear is that Putin is not aiming
02:08:25at and really does not want a direct
02:08:28clash with the west. "I mean,
02:08:31these threats blustering by Russia have been
02:08:34intended to deter the west from or
02:08:38NATO from intervening in in Ukraine, they haven't been, the prelue to a
02:08:42Russian attack on on
02:08:45NATO, um, but there is always the the the
02:08:48risk of course um of uh some
02:08:52disastrous accident, um, you
02:08:56know, the Russians, I think may have..."
02:09:00um uh assuming it wasn't a
02:09:03Ukrainian false flag operation um you know fired a missile
02:09:07a train in in Ukraine that wasn't
02:09:11carrying you know western representatives so as to
02:09:15sender message or warning uh but
02:09:18missiles go astray and for example I mean the
02:09:22other way around uh Russians have said to me you
02:09:26remember what happened on the first day the US attack on Iran
02:09:30wasn't intentional, but a misdirected US missile hit a
02:09:34school and killed, what was it, 120
02:09:38school children? Russians say if a Ukrainian
02:09:41missile, especially one, guided by western
02:09:45intelligence, goes astray and hits a school in
02:09:49Moscow or Petersburg, Putin would have no choice politically but to
02:09:53react directly um against NATO, and then of course we
02:09:57are a, well then we're a...
02:10:02I understand you've said the EU should get rid them, oh
02:10:06absolutely, I mean calas in particular is
02:10:09nightmare and you see the problem is if you go to
02:10:13European foreign ministries, as I have, they will say to
02:10:17you, don't worry, yes we know Callis is mad,
02:10:21Callous, hates the Russians, but she doesn't represent our foreign
02:10:25policy, she doesn't represent French or German or even British, well
02:10:29obviously Britain's not in the EU, but we we are much more more
02:10:32sensible, all right, but how do you
02:10:36expect the Russians to know that when
02:10:39the, the foreign policy representative of... European
02:10:43Union is saying all these insane things and
02:10:46Russians will pay attention and there's no
02:10:50prospect of it yet so we can just expect as we move into
02:10:53winter even more uh even more
02:10:57war like talk and and lower gas reserves then in in
02:11:01Europe as Europe declines in the new order well
02:11:05yes and of course terrible winter for ordinary
02:11:09ordinary Ukrainians which is why Putin is willing to go
02:11:13on fighting um until next
02:11:16year uh in the hope obviously of gaining the whole the
02:11:20donbass which he thinks he needs to be able to declare victory,
02:11:24but also just so that Ukraine is so weakened that it
02:11:27will make a deal on Russia's terms. now that
02:11:31said, you always have to remember that
02:11:35barring a complete Ukraine collapse, which doesn't look
02:11:38likely, um, whatever Russia gets out of this war will be
02:11:41far... far less than what Putin was aiming at when
02:11:45he launched the war, he was planning to turn the whole of Ukraine into a
02:11:49Russian client state, that simply isn't going to happen. um, the
02:11:53second, the plan B was to annex huge areas the east
02:11:57and south of Ukraine, that hasn't happened, and in my view is very
02:12:01unlikely to happen, so if Ukraine can come out of
02:12:05this war with 75% of its
02:12:07territory, um, minus areas that were never really
02:12:11part of Ukraine any... way um, ethnically
02:12:15speaking, and the possibility of joining the
02:12:19European Union and with a strongly consolidated
02:12:22national spirit, then despite all the
02:12:26terrible suffering that Ukraine is experienced, that I think historically
02:12:30will still be seen as a Ukrainian
02:12:33victory, professor leven will continue after the
02:12:37break, keep watching, new
02:12:38order.
02:13:50You're watching New Order. Professor Anatol Leven he was saying that
02:13:54Ukraine could uh forge some kind of victory despite all the
02:13:58odds uh any settlement. But isn't the point that Putin
02:14:01didn't really want all the land of
02:14:04Ukraine. He wanted uh and realize that there has to
02:14:08be new order. The title of this is
02:14:11the very show. "and the entire global
02:14:14south, global east has
02:14:18changed after 2022, and that's really
02:14:22the prize, the end of us and Germany.
02:14:25Well, Russia cannot end US to Germany its
02:14:29own, it's not remotely strong, it doesn't need
02:14:32to, and well no, I mean, well, but that's
02:14:36it, you know,
02:14:37as has often been said about the Chinese, and the Chinese say themselves in
02:14:41private." 'we don't need to do anything, trump is is doing a
02:14:45wonderful job of destroying you know America's
02:14:48global position without us having to do anything, which is
02:14:52why you know the um one reason why the Chinese are pursuing
02:14:56such very cautious and and prudent
02:14:59policy um,
02:15:02but uh, I mean cautious and
02:15:05prudent you, I understand you were in China uh earlier
02:15:09this year, I mean is it your'. understanding China are
02:15:13supplying weapons to Iran at the moment, they
02:15:17they are supplying certain kinds of technology, although
02:15:21they obviously in public they deny it uh, but
02:15:25'um, they are not supplying large quantities of
02:15:28actual weapons, no, as far as I can see, and
02:15:32as one Chinese interlocutor said to me,
02:15:36you know, we're not allies of of Iran despite what many
02:15:40Americans say, and America should be very grateful that we're
02:15:43not, because if we were allies of Iran a large part the American Navy would be at
02:15:47the bottom the Indian ocean by now, um, just as if we were
02:15:51allies of Russia, Russia would have won the war in Ukraine, because
02:15:55real Chinese military supplies, look, I mean, America
02:15:59has exhausted its um, it its stocks of
02:16:03anti of air defense systems, just by fighting the
02:16:07the Iranians. Imagine if the Chinese came in as well with
02:16:10really large scale supplies, the American position
02:16:14would be impossible. Now, of course the Chinese really don't want to do that, because
02:16:18they understand the terrible risks involved, and I think
02:16:22also they, well, certainly if you read the Chinese media. they believe that
02:16:26um history is on their side, time is on their side, the west
02:16:29is declining pretty steeply now, and it makes much more sense,
02:16:33yeah, but you're saying it's caution, you're saying it's caution, and of
02:16:36course, one could equally say the same about India uh, that it's playing
02:16:40cautious game while being in the quad, but at the same time backing chaba upward in
02:16:44Iran and continuing to support the war
02:16:47on against NATO through Ukraine by
02:16:51buying Russian oil, but China's bond holdings of U.S.
02:16:55treasuries, which is the big news all around the world as uh
02:16:58NATO nation economies arguably collapse. It is
02:17:02shocking how uh they have declined the
02:17:06uh the way China has uh not buying us debt
02:17:10anymore and um obviously it has to be very careful
02:17:13unwinding it, but it really is uh
02:17:17increasing the uh averting itself from the dollar
02:17:21system. well, after what happened to Russian holdings,
02:17:25uh in the west uh, a country which thinks
02:17:29it might get into a deep crisis with America would be
02:17:32insane to keep most of its foreign holdings in in dollars
02:17:36that could be seized by America, obviously, I mean, not just China, other
02:17:40countries also are gradually drawing it down, not too
02:17:44fast of course, because to really draw them down quickly would risk
02:17:47collapsing first the US economy and then the world economy as a
02:17:51whole, but the general trend is very clear.
02:17:55so a sense that's that may well be the
02:17:59uh the kill switch some might say I
02:18:01mean in the past few days Brazil's top diplomats also
02:18:05Almarim ally of Lula who I have spoken to in
02:18:09the past Lula has been very critical obviously of us policy but has to be equally
02:18:12cautious been talking with Wang this week there
02:18:16was some Brazil China friends for peace Ukraine
02:18:19initiative um clear that China has
02:18:23benefited from the proxy war in Russia through
02:18:26Ukraine in many
02:18:28ways? Well, discounted Russian
02:18:32oil of course? Yes, to a
02:18:36degree, and Russia has become more dependent on China, but
02:18:40then of course on the other hand um, well the Chinese did not
02:18:44expect the Iran war top of that, but in the first
02:18:48place of course,
02:18:48you know, China is still dependent on global energy imports and
02:18:52anything that seriously disrupt. that is a threat to
02:18:56although around the time you were in China professor was when they
02:19:00were increasing stocks massively as if in preparation they seemed
02:19:04remarkably insulated I don't what you were telling them
02:19:08I don't what you were telling them professor yeah but
02:19:12now you see according to the latest news the Chinese stocks are beginning to run
02:19:15out and that is bad news not just for China
02:19:19but really for for all the Asian economies because it has been
02:19:23the the the Chinese release these reserves,
02:19:27which to a great extent has compensated the whole of Asia
02:19:30for the
02:19:31the the loss of oil from the Persian
02:19:34Gulf. If China if Chinese reserves run
02:19:38out completely, then the
02:19:42economic consequences could be dire, and of course
02:19:45an interesting question to which I don't have the answer is at that point will China
02:19:49try to become much much more directly involved
02:19:52in uh in the Middle East. and
02:19:55basically tell the Americans,
02:19:58you know, stop this war, or else, um, what
02:20:02or else would be, I, I don't know, but I wonder just
02:20:06how long China can afford, or India for that matter, can afford for this war to
02:20:09go on, so if I was giving a
02:20:12scorecard, let alone the war on
02:20:15Iran, has have bricks powers, Shanghai
02:20:19cooperation organization powers successfully used
02:20:23the war in Europe, ' as best they could
02:20:26to destroy Washington consensus power or could they
02:20:30have done a bit more faster um, I mean
02:20:33hopefully the war in Europe may be coming to an end in the next.
02:20:37months, have they done as best as they could or could they have done better as
02:20:41regards dedollarization, trade ties, throwing the
02:20:45IMF and world bank out, as such, well I don't think,
02:20:49I mean a lot of countries like India um, but
02:20:53even Brazil, um, or I think
02:20:56even China to
02:20:59a degree do not want to destroy
02:21:02America's, power, certainly not quickly,
02:21:05certainly. not avawedly as
02:21:08made clear, but but I think it's, I mean, I was at the
02:21:12Bricks academic council um last year,
02:21:16and
02:21:17there was a clear division there between uh, Russia,
02:21:21China and South Africa on the one hand,
02:21:25much more anti-american, and India and Brazil on the other, much
02:21:29more, well, India, much, much less anti-American, and
02:21:32Brazil sort of trying to say how right everybody was and maintain
02:21:36a... a middle position in fairness to Lula, he had been in
02:21:40prison, yes, now India has shifted
02:21:44undoubtedly as result the Iran war, but I would still
02:21:48describe Indian policy as more like a phrase that
02:21:52you very often hear from the former Soviet Republics in Central Asia,
02:21:56which is a multi-vector policy. In other words, you
02:21:59know, we are not going to, well, they they mean, we we're
02:22:03not going to simply go with with Russia, but equally we are not going.
02:22:07commit ourselves to the United States, we want
02:22:11you know to keep open relations with with
02:22:15everybody, and I think for the moment um, that
02:22:18is what most the global south wishes, yeah,
02:22:22the problem is lot of people are going to think that's very naive, because Washington wants a
02:22:26choice, it doesn't give, it doesn't, it doesn't give nations that
02:22:30choice, oh absolutely, but the question now is is
02:22:33Washington in the past, Washington could simply have thumped the table and
02:22:37ordered them to submit, but is Washington powerful enough to
02:22:41do that anymore? I don't think so. Um, obviously China
02:22:45is now much bigger economic player outside the
02:22:49financial area in Asia than the United States
02:22:52is. So, America's power to coerce people is just
02:22:56much less. But
02:22:58on the other hand, I think the Indians are still worry
02:23:02that if they really push both to weaken the US
02:23:06and to institutionalized. bricks at the
02:23:09moment, China
02:23:11is still so much more powerful that this will be a Chinese dominated
02:23:15bricks, possibly a Chinese dominated world, that is
02:23:19something that the Indians still worry about, that is why, as they've
02:23:22told me, you know the they are not going to commit themselves completely,
02:23:26certainly not to the US, but not to an anti-US position either,
02:23:30the ghosts of divide and rule, imperial divide and
02:23:33rule kind of alive when it comes to - destroying '
02:23:38forever. I just got to - ask about western Europe, one last
02:23:42question.
02:23:42I mean, how long you think Britain and France are going to be on the United Nations
02:23:46Security Council, let alone whether India will be on
02:23:49it? Um, can they remain on the UN security council for much
02:23:53longer? Well, I think they can remain on the
02:23:57UN security council forever. Um,
02:24:01the question is whether the United, whether the UN itself and the
02:24:04Security Council will mean anything. 50 years from now,
02:24:08let alone a hundred. I mean, I always remember the
02:24:12the the mogal emperor, long, long after he he had become
02:24:16bas basically an old-age pensioner the British, was
02:24:20still issuing ferman's orders
02:24:23appointing kings and governors across
02:24:26India, total nonsense of course, but nobody wanted to tell the
02:24:30poor fellow that it was all over, so um, yes, they
02:24:34can still sit there, but it won't mean anything. Professor Anatol
02:24:38Levan, thank
02:24:39you.
02:24:45Questions from you, the viewers through social media, through Zara Khan. Now, professor Anatol
02:24:49Leiven, not going to
02:24:50get a job as Antonio Guteres a speech writer anytime soon after what he said about
02:24:54the UN, but more importantly, the questions from our audience
02:24:58on X. Old Pretender has asked, are the US and European markets broke and maxed out
02:25:02on debt? We've been talking for years about US debt and it didn't really matter because
02:25:06everyone recycled. dollar, that's the way the dollar system works, 40
02:25:10trillion us debt to debt to GDP ratio of 125%.
02:25:14It does matter now, that's why Trump is going, we need AI, I don't care whether
02:25:18AI means armagedden and AI is used by Yemen to attack Saudi Arabia, we need
02:25:22AI, because otherwise the whole the United States is gna uh
02:25:25self-combust, if you look at Europe, Greece, Italy, France,
02:25:29Spain, all debt ratios that are higher than what they produce, so in others
02:25:33they are essentially bankrupt, it hasn't mattered before,
02:25:37but after 2022 in Ukraine, it does matter because it's
02:25:41bricks and the new order, the new order will not allow countries
02:25:45to run debts like this,
02:25:482022, because has asked, what happens if the sanctions become
02:25:52increasingly frequent? sanctions, I presume Tomka
02:25:55means uh US sanctions, NATO Nation sanctions, it doesn't
02:25:59matter to India clearly, India says, we don't care about sanctions on
02:26:03Russian energy, as we said on this program before, 38 million have been
02:26:07killed in 152 countries around the world by
02:26:11Americans sanctions between 1971 and 2021, according to the
02:26:14lancert, I think the global south now remembers the slaughter
02:26:18caused by United States sanctions. NATO nation sanctions, they don't care
02:26:22anymore, and people can use crypto anyway to evade all sanctions,
02:26:26although of course we're not advising it, and finally Paul Champion
02:26:30says, if Trump is leaving NATO, but American troops aren't leaving Europe, does that
02:26:33make the American occupation official? You know, Paul Champaine has
02:26:37point there, it's difficult to remember how many troops are in
02:26:41western Europe, thousands and thousands of troops, just
02:26:45recently in RAF, Lake and Heath in Suffock in Britain, the United
02:26:49States just trans. 20 B-61 12 tactical nuclear
02:26:53uh weapons, um, zero response from Russia.
02:26:57Uh, why does Europe allow all these US occupying powers? Because Europe has never
02:27:01since 1945 been independent, its arts, institutions, its
02:27:04universities, its schools, it's entire societies of
02:27:08Western Europe have been vassals that have been condemned to be
02:27:12- part the military industrial complex. Thank you for those answers
02:27:16oftion. We'll be back with more next week. Thanks, sir, and...
02:27:20follow us on x at new order_tv to ask your questions, we'll be back with
02:27:24another look at the people, countries and ideas shaping what comes next for India and its partners, see you

02:30:24Russia's first parliamentary elections since the start the Ukraine conflict
02:30:28have wrapped up and the vote counting is underway. There's
02:30:32still a lot to see and discuss as the final figures won't be officially confirmed until
02:30:36next Friday. We're bringing you our special coverage as the
02:30:39world's geographically biggest country has its democratic
02:30:43say. With the first preliminary results
02:30:47coming in, the ruling United Russia party is for. top with solid
02:30:51majority, the runner up is the communist party with almost
02:30:5414%, and the Liberal Democratic Party is in third with
02:30:58close to 9%. And...
02:31:02Moscow says Kiev tried to undermine the elections with a
02:31:06massive attack as almost 2,000 drones and missiles
02:31:10were intercepted a single day. The targeted assault on the Russian
02:31:13capital killed several
02:31:15people.
02:31:24You're watching RT International Live in Moscow. I'm Rachel
02:31:27Rubel. The third and final day of voting in
02:31:31Russia's parliamentary elections. has come to an end, polls have closed
02:31:35across the country's 11 time zones and the preliminary results are
02:31:39already coming in. our RT is keeping close tab on the developments,
02:31:42bringing you all the latest updates as part of our special
02:31:45coverage.
02:31:57well, even though the polls have closed, there's still a lot to see, count
02:32:01and discuss. says the final figures won't be officially confirmed
02:32:05until next Friday. Currently here are the preliminary
02:32:08results. After about 47% the ballots have been
02:32:12tallyed. The ruling United Russia party is firmly in the
02:32:16lead with solid majority. The runner up is the communist party
02:32:20with about 14%. In third place is the
02:32:23Liberal Democratic Party with close to
02:32:259%. All right, well for more on the
02:32:29elections, let's bring in our correspondent. party's Anastasia
02:32:33Valadana joining us from our studio just outside the Kramlin Nasty. The polls are
02:32:37closed, the votes are being counted. What else can you tell us about the latest
02:32:40developments? Hi there,
02:32:44Rachel. Well, it's just past 2 am here in the Russian Capital and I
02:32:48think we do have the most beautiful spot to uh do our
02:32:52special coverage on the stateuma elections. We know that the
02:32:55polls have closed, the vote counting is currently in full
02:32:59swing and the vote turnout has. needed
02:33:0256% uh, but um, of course, busy
02:33:06three days for those taking part in the voting
02:33:09and for those who who were organizing the process, but
02:33:13also a very busy night ahead for those who are counting
02:33:17down the votes.
02:33:19we know that nevertheless that the votes are still being counted, the
02:33:23Russian uh security council deputy chairman and
02:33:26also the leader the United Russia, also known as
02:33:30y has actually
02:33:34received a mandate from the electorate and
02:33:38also commented on the results stating that now new
02:33:42chapter is a waiting ahead. let's
02:33:44listen. this is a real
02:33:47result, but at the same time it marks the start of a great deal of
02:33:51work. we must now put into practice the president's decisions and
02:33:55the policy set
02:33:56out by our leader vladimir. having received such a mandate from
02:34:00the electorate, we must now set about. our national
02:34:04program and those programs that will be adopted in the regions. this is
02:34:07huge task, but at the same time
02:34:10i have no doubt whatsoever that our party as a responsible political
02:34:14force and the country's leading political force will rise to the
02:34:18challenge, just as our entire country will rise to the challenge it now
02:34:21faces, we will prevail. there is no doubt about
02:34:25that.
02:34:30wasn't the only one the elections, we also
02:34:34heard from Ginaidi Zugan the leader the second largest
02:34:38party, CPRF, also known as the communist party the Russian
02:34:41Federation, and that's actually the only party which received a
02:34:45double digits in this election, and well he also commented
02:34:49on the preliminary results, let's take a listen to what he had to say
02:34:53about that. We fully understood that
02:34:57elections held during wartime are fundamentally different, requiring
02:35:01maximum unity. personal responsibility and very thor
02:35:04work with the citizens the country. They are demanding a shift towards
02:35:08a new policy, insisting that prices must not rise
02:35:12exoberantly, that utility costs do not burden them, and
02:35:16they are looking into our program. I want emphasize once
02:35:19again that we fulfilled the tasks we said ourselves during the
02:35:23electoral campaign. We did everything to present our program to all
02:35:27voters and understandable
02:35:29an accessible way.
02:35:42is joining me right here in our beautiful studio in central
02:35:45moscow thank you very much for finding the time and
02:35:49um having a you here is special because you've
02:35:53been to the central election committee yourself this evening can you tell
02:35:57us a little bit more about uh what the atmosphere was there
02:36:01like and just give us a little more details about the uh the
02:36:04current um um election results that we know so
02:36:07far, well
02:36:08of course the polling stations have closed nationwide now
02:36:12and the preliminary results are now in, so the voter turnout
02:36:16across the country reached
02:36:1756.66%. uh
02:36:21at this point in time 52.27% of
02:36:24votes have been counted so far, so that is of course over
02:36:28half the total votes and let me just give you a quick breakdown
02:36:32the five leading parties. now we begin with the all Russian
02:36:36political party, United Russia, which got the most votes so far,
02:36:40that is over 57%. uh, then in
02:36:43second place is the communist party the Russian Federation or
02:36:47CPRF for short uh with over 13%
02:36:51the votes, then we have the Liberal Democratic Party of
02:36:55Russia or LDPR with over 8% of votes, in fourth
02:36:59place we have the new people political party with over
02:37:027% of votes and uh in fifth
02:37:05place the Socialist political party adjust
02:37:09Russia with over 5% of votes. Now the leading
02:37:13three candidates for each individual. constituency have now also
02:37:16been announced and just to let you know there are
02:37:19225 individual constituencies in Russia
02:37:23and 16 in Moscow alone and now of course one candidate will be
02:37:26elected per per constituency. so the system, the voting
02:37:30system um might seem rather difficult for of us
02:37:34to understand. can you just break it down for us and tell us how
02:37:38it actually works? of course, so out the 450
02:37:42deputies being elected, half are elected. through party lists
02:37:46and
02:37:46the other half that is 225 deputies are elected
02:37:50in single member constituencies. now in casting their vote for a
02:37:54specific candidate to represent their area in the state dumo,
02:37:57russian citizens uh chose from between around seven
02:38:01eight candidates per area. now when it comes to the total
02:38:05number of candidates nationwide uh that number is around
02:38:081,700 people uh some of those
02:38:12candidates making the federal lists are in... pendent and
02:38:15importantly in this election, the federal lists also include
02:38:19veterans the special military operation. now we
02:38:23had also more than uh 90,000 polling
02:38:27stations open nationwide over the past
02:38:30three days and the total number of registered voters in
02:38:34Moscow in the Russian capital is over 7,800
02:38:38thousand people and nationwide that number is over
02:38:42111 million. now in the... course the
02:38:45election, people have been able to participate to cast the vote
02:38:49a variety of different ways, so that is of course
02:38:52online, as online electronic voting is well was available
02:38:56in numerous Russian regions and of course in person casting their
02:39:00ballots at polling stations uh so many ways
02:39:04for people to vote really with some actually having voted from home as well
02:39:08as they were unable to come to the polling station themselves uh it is also
02:39:12worth noting that almost 40000
02:39:15observers were present at these elections
02:39:18nationwide and well with the polls now closed and with
02:39:21the preliminary results of course in, we
02:39:24are awaiting the final results which will be announced by the central
02:39:28election commission by
02:39:29the 5th of October. you've mentioned there the um online voting, this is
02:39:33actually the one I used when I um when I voted just on the
02:39:37first day the voting, and that was actually very, very convenient. um, I
02:39:41just want to take this further and and say that for the first time...
02:39:45uh four new regions uh have voted and cast their ballots
02:39:49during these elections and we know that uh four that
02:39:53just adds up to 4 million new Russian citizens
02:39:56in Danietsk Lugansk People's Republics the Hirsons
02:40:00Zaparogia regions and um despite all
02:40:04that the key of regime its behalf um has ramped up
02:40:08its attacks we know um from what the um Moscow Mais
02:40:12Sabanian had to say just um earlier today that um, there has
02:40:16been an enormous drone attack, um, over
02:40:191,600 drones were heading Moscow's way, Moscow, Moscow
02:40:23Region, and particularly 450 them were
02:40:26heading directly um Moscow's way, and of course this
02:40:30is an unprecedented attack, and I think it's very important to have
02:40:34listen to what um Russian Defense Ministry had to say about it. Let's take a
02:40:38listen. In an effort to undermine the democratic will the
02:40:42citizens the Russian Federation, as expressed, In the elections to the
02:40:46state Duma the Federal Assembly the Russian Federation. The
02:40:49Kiev regime launched a massive attack on the territory the Russian
02:40:53Federation on September 19th and 20th of this
02:40:56year, using UAVs and Flamingo cruise
02:40:59missiles. In response to the Kiev regime's attacks on civilian
02:41:03targets on Russian territory, the armed forces the Russian
02:41:06Federation will intensify their strikes with high precision
02:41:10weapons against military targets in Kieve.
02:41:14Unfortunately. there have been casualties, we do know that in Moscow
02:41:17region three children had been wounded and two people unfortunately had
02:41:21been killed, so um ala, we know about these
02:41:25attacks that were carried out by the... kief regime um using
02:41:29drones um etc. but do we know about any
02:41:33other attacks coming um from Kief regarding the
02:41:36elections? well of course um I would like to mention that when it comes
02:41:40to the actual election process everything went smoothly so the
02:41:43elections were of course held in full compliance with the law we saw a high
02:41:47voter turn out uh as I said before over
02:41:5056% uh nationwide so that is proof
02:41:54of that really and there hasn't been a single successful. attack
02:41:58on the elections, however, of course, there have indeed
02:42:02been attempts and as you said, over
02:42:041,600 drones have been shot down over the Russian
02:42:08capital and Moscow region overnight, now Russian uh
02:42:12Security Council deputy chair and leader the
02:42:16leading United Russia party, Mitri Medved,
02:42:20said that those attempts had the opposite effect to one that was originally
02:42:24intended. Let's take a listen now.
02:42:28Over the past few days, the opponent has made titanic, colossal
02:42:32efforts to undermine the outcome the elections, but as has
02:42:36rightly been said, this has only served to unite the voters, to
02:42:40unite our people. This is, I suppose, the most important outcome of
02:42:43this
02:42:44election.
02:42:48And, we've also seen continued intimidation of
02:42:51election commission members, as we know
02:42:55earlier, yesterday, two people. were killed in a drone
02:42:58attack a civilian bus in the Hirson region and one
02:43:02the victims was member the presyct electoral commission
02:43:06there who was involved in the conducting of early voting in one of
02:43:10its districts and this was of course reported by the central
02:43:14election commission head Ella Pomfilova who also
02:43:18spoke on cyber attacks and that is over
02:43:21100 million danger well uh well
02:43:25danger is really thwarted let's take a look at
02:43:31Over the past period, more than waves of dedos attacks were recorded
02:43:35against infrastructure in the Russian Federation that is specifically involved in the
02:43:39electoral process. Thankfully, there were no successful
02:43:42attacks, despite their intensity and power. At the same time, the
02:43:46level of impact is assessed as very high. The attacks were carried
02:43:50out by highly professional, well coordinated groups using artificial
02:43:54intelligence tools. The attacks were launched primarily. from
02:43:57abroad, where did they come from? the United Kingdom, Ukraine,
02:44:01Brazil, Indonesia, and even India. Thank God, all the
02:44:05attacks were successfully
02:44:06repelled.
02:44:10And what we're seeing as well is, of course, what can only be
02:44:14referred to as fake news about the fairness
02:44:18these elections in Russia, such as reports of observers being
02:44:21refused entry into polling stations across the country, but we do
02:44:25know that importantly only. 23 complaints have actually
02:44:29been received in regards to difficulties in
02:44:33exercising the rights of observers, three of which were received
02:44:37of course on the last day of elections and it is very
02:44:40important to mention that the central election commission deals with
02:44:44these complaints immediately, there's really no
02:44:48tolerance policy there, so well with the elections now
02:44:51concluded, we can certainly say that yes indeed there have been
02:44:55attempts to undermine this, electoral process
02:44:58here, but well, of course, as Michev
02:45:02said, they have produced an opposite effect, where
02:45:06people have been even more active in casting their votes, going to
02:45:10the polling stations, being proactive in this over these past three
02:45:13days. thanks, and I just want to add here that it's absolutely
02:45:17heartbreaking, I think you would agree with me on this, um, that the key
02:45:21of regime um carried out these attacks at the time when Russia as a
02:45:24democratic nation went to the polling stations to... vote uh for
02:45:28the uh state doomer um elections um when at the
02:45:32same time in Ukraine itself Zelensky refuses to hold
02:45:36presidential elections since the time his term expired uh back in
02:45:40May of 2024. He continues to site the martial
02:45:43law and how just recently the 9 million Ukrainians are
02:45:47somehow abroad and won't be able to vote and we know that Russians were
02:45:51able to vote abroad because the polling stations were opened
02:45:54in um if you get if I I'm not mistaken, in
02:45:58around 150 countries, so um, thanks very
02:46:02much for bringing us up to speed, and hopefully we'll
02:46:06see the results very soon. That's all for me and Aila
02:46:10for now, and I'm passing over to you Rachel. All right, thank you to the both of you,
02:46:14Nastia and Aila. RIT correspondent
02:46:17eagdanov is reporting from one the headquarters of United Russia as
02:46:21the country's ruling party is firmly leading the
02:46:24race. The atmosphere certainly has.
02:46:27has been cheerful here, there's other word for it, and after all, if you look at
02:46:31the caliber of people that United Russia can show its
02:46:35roaster, well, it certainly can't complain in that department, here
02:46:39we've spoke. to heroes of Russia, to decorated officers,
02:46:43veterans the special military operation of in
02:46:46Ukraine, it's acting senators, acting MPs, you name it,
02:46:50they all have gathered here to together find out
02:46:54the outcomeuh of this election and well to
02:46:58finally find themselves victorious in this race, it
02:47:02has been a long, rather long race, after all people
02:47:06have been voting for three days and and well again the turnout.
02:47:10has been quite significant, it has been larger than uh
02:47:14five years ago
02:47:15and they
02:47:16you know the people uh the people of this party of United Russia uh
02:47:20its members they have spoken openly about how happy they
02:47:24are that people chose to go and vote that they utilized
02:47:28these uh you know all the electronic uh methods that have
02:47:31been there available for the general population for the low mobility people
02:47:35in hospitals and so to uh to vote without having
02:47:40to go uh to the polling station without having you know
02:47:43without having to physically appear at the polling booths and
02:47:47especially they have talked about how people in the new
02:47:51regions of Russia, people in the border regions of Russia, and I'm talking about the border
02:47:55regions
02:47:56the ones that border with Ukraine of course that they were
02:47:59unphazed by the threats, they were unphazed by the constant threats
02:48:03of drones of missile attacks and they went and
02:48:06voted and voted on mass after all, if you look at turnout in
02:48:10the Lugansk People's Republic, in the Dunetsk People's Republic, those turnouts,
02:48:14they have been quite spectacular, well above the average
02:48:18across the country, and in fact I asked the senator
02:48:21representing the Lugansk people's republic, I asked her uh darial
02:48:25Lantratova, I asked her uh what she thinks about it, what she
02:48:29thinks about the people who still in her hometown in
02:48:33her home region, they went and they decided to
02:48:36participate in this first election that that they
02:48:40could really take part in as part of Russia, and here's what she had to
02:48:44say, indeed, the turnout is
02:48:48unprecedentedly high in the Dunetsk and Lugansk Republics at about
02:48:5180%. For the people, this is indeed very important event,
02:48:55another step on the path of integration with Russia, because the residents the
02:48:59reunited historical regions are electing their representatives and parliament
02:49:03members for the first time. Indeed, there were many provocations and
02:49:06dangers. We have once again been convinced that our people cannot.
02:49:10intimidated, they steadfastly withstood these trials, our
02:49:13adversary targeted energy and civil infrastructure with attacks intended to
02:49:17intimidate our people to force them not to go to the polling stations,
02:49:21to jeopadizing
02:49:22the entire voting process. And well, the
02:49:26threat, it was as real as it gets after all, at least one member
02:49:29the electoral committee was killed in the Ukrainian strike in the
02:49:33Zaparogia region of Russia, and so really people,
02:49:37they did risk literally risk their lives. to go
02:49:40and have a have a go a democratic say that they have
02:49:44now as part of Russia, but they weren't the only ones uh you know taking
02:49:48this risk. Moscow uh was targeted by a Ukrainian uh you
02:49:52know long-ranged uh attack uh over the past
02:49:56over the past three days really there was several waves these attacks
02:49:59and you had also international observers working at
02:50:03the polling stations and they took note of
02:50:07Russia's you know of how Russia has did digitalized the voting
02:50:11process and they were quite impressed, they some some delegates,
02:50:15some uh, well some the representatives the African of some
02:50:19African nations, they well, they said that they might seek
02:50:23to adopt some of that technology and you bring
02:50:27them to, bring this technology to their home country. I
02:50:30asked an acting MPtoy as to what he
02:50:34thinks about th this representation when it comes to international
02:50:38observers, and the general...
02:50:40digitalization the vote here in Russia, what he, here's what he had to
02:50:44say, we have a large team of international
02:50:48observers working in these elections and not just in Moscow. Everyone has
02:50:52noted how far Russia has advanced in terms of technology for organizing the
02:50:56electoral process. This is transparent and verificable for
02:50:59voters.
02:51:00It is easy to understand and most importantly convenient for people to use. For
02:51:04us, it absolutely does not matter whether our former western partners
02:51:08recognize the elections or not. every day they tell stories about how
02:51:11bad we are, what monsters we are, and this entire wave of russophobia,
02:51:15I'm sure, will also spill over into the finalization the election
02:51:19results. For us, the most important thing is that the elections are recognized as fair and
02:51:23objective by our citizens, by our Russian voters. Our
02:51:26legitimacy lies in the citizens of Russia and their voice, the trust the people is
02:51:30a politician's greatest asset. Now, there's
02:51:34still, there is going to be few days that the Russian electoral committee
02:51:38will take to final. the counter of all the votes, but
02:51:42it is already pretty clear that United Russia it is
02:51:46quite comfortably in the lead, well over 50% the
02:51:49public support, they have it, and so it's leader
02:51:53Dimitri Midved has already said addressing people here
02:51:57in in the people's in the public support HQ the United
02:52:01Russia party, he has said that now that they know that they
02:52:05have this public support, well they now United Russia
02:52:09can be more ambitious and it can really pursue
02:52:12everything that it stands for and uh
02:52:15really try and put forward their
02:52:19vision, bring closer their vision of... success for
02:52:23Russia. A multiple polling stations were open in
02:52:27Russian embassies in many locations for citizens abroad. These
02:52:31were some the scenes at voting locations around the world from
02:52:34Armenia to the UAE. Russians also actively
02:52:38cast their ballots in European countries. Well some of those ex-patriots
02:52:42stress that it's important to express their position issues even if they live
02:52:46outside their
02:52:47homeland.
02:52:52the situation in the world or in our country, but right now in
02:52:562026, it seems to me that the world is on the brink of very
02:53:00significant changes, and Russia has a duty to face them with dignity,
02:53:04that's why everyone should vote. We've lived here for
02:53:07very long time, and our families are here, that's all, but my heart and
02:53:11soul and my homeland are there, and I travel to Russia every
02:53:15year, so it's very important. I came here to
02:53:19support Russia, and our choice matters too, even for those of us. living abroad
02:53:23so that relations between Russia and France can be restored and improved, well we're hoping
02:53:27for confirmation the Russian government's actions, which I believe most of us view
02:53:30as positive a very complicated international geopolitical
02:53:34situation, and the Russian government isn't doing a bad job at
02:53:37all. I believe in friendship. I want
02:53:41the two nations to be friends. My wife, for example, is German and I'm
02:53:45Russian. Why are there so many Russians here? 9 million
02:53:49Russian speakers, because our families are mixed. believe we all
02:53:53can live in harmony. These images were from several
02:53:57countries in Southeast Asia where Russian citizens were also
02:54:01able to vote. In particular, these are the scenes at polling stations in
02:54:04Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Laos, as well as Singapore and
02:54:08Cambodia. Voters explained why they wanted to exercise their
02:54:12democratic rights despite being thousands of kilometers away from
02:54:16home. For me, this day is very
02:54:19important for our country and we... uh, from my
02:54:23point of view, every Russian citizen should vote
02:54:27uh, for their future. I think it's really important to
02:54:31take part in this election, because like
02:54:33uh, we need to express our uh
02:54:37opinion, and yeah, this
02:54:40is really important for as a first time, like voting
02:54:44here. It is really important for Russian people abroad to
02:54:48take part in these elections, uh, as it is very...
02:55:28I came to vote because I believe every citizen has a duty to express their
02:55:31opinion, and in my view, every vote
02:55:34counts. The crucial vote is also taking place
02:55:37in territory that are coming under daily attack, but
02:55:41despite the threat posed by Ukraine, people say they are determined that their
02:55:45voices will be heard. The head the Danetsk Republic has cast his
02:55:49vote a local polling station, noting that he met quite a few people. people
02:55:53who wanted
02:55:53to vote in their first state
02:55:55duma election. our gazd reports and how the vote has been held under
02:55:59wartime conditions. across two
02:56:02continents and 11 time zones under ceaseless threat
02:56:06of attack, russians vote for their new
02:56:09parliament.
02:56:21in their millions. despite constant threats from
02:56:24Ukraine, threats of prosecution and
02:56:28persecution, just for booting, attacks on
02:56:32pouling stations, fakes and Ukrainian
02:56:35propaganda. Yesterday and the day before,
02:56:38leaflets were dropped by drones across most of our region,
02:56:42containing calls to block the electoral process and urging
02:56:46people not to participate in the elections. Every day we are
02:56:49seeing a steady stream of two or three disin.
02:57:05double threats no longer carry the same
02:57:08weight. tell me, have you been in intimidated? did
02:57:11Zelensky threaten you saying you shouldn't go to these
02:57:14elections? in no way, he can't do
02:57:17anything. of course not. generally speaking it is
02:57:21very difficult to intimidate me, it's just not in my nature.
02:57:25god forbid. firstly, i don't recognize the landscate all, and i
02:57:29don't watch him on tv. as for scammers, they've already left me
02:57:32alone. we have lived too long to be.
02:57:35intimidated, and that is
02:57:39my vote, one of tens of millions being cast
02:57:42around the donbus, an environment where people are
02:57:46actively being threatened, where electoral
02:57:49officials are receiving death threats, their families, their
02:57:53children, but with every vote cast in the don
02:57:57bass, the people the Dumbas show,
02:58:01that those threats don't scare them, not even
02:58:05strongly worded statements and condemnation could
02:58:09stop these elections. At today's meeting, the central electoral
02:58:12commission adopted resolution declaring that the organization and conduct of
02:58:16elections for deputies to the state duma the Russian Federation in the
02:58:20temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine are illegitimate. It
02:58:24is, of course, ironic that Ukraine forbids
02:58:27Ukrainians from voting in these Russian elections,
02:58:31because neither does it allow Ukrainians themselves.
02:58:35any elections, they're too dangerous, says the former
02:58:39president of Ukraine. elections as such are
02:58:43huge risk, elections right now are a tsunami which could split
02:58:47Ukraine. again, the irony, Ukraine
02:58:50professes to be fighting for freedom and democracy, but says
02:58:54elections are too dangerous. Russia, which kier
02:58:58accuses of aggression and
02:59:02war. he's holding elections in. remember, he needs a
02:59:06united society that will support his united Russia.
02:59:09Zelensky, on the other hand, doesn't need his society
02:59:13support, his term expired two years ago,
02:59:17and no one can do anything about it. He already
02:59:21controls all Ukrainian media, all newspapers
02:59:24and online publications, full spectrum
02:59:28propaganda. Anyone who criticizes him can be
02:59:32sanctioned, Ukrainian or otherwise.
02:59:35sent a one way trip to the front lines,
02:59:39so elections, you want elections as soon as
02:59:42to do it tomorrow, but if we have the war, it's you can't
02:59:46do it, what elections, how to make elections with the 9 million people
02:59:50who are abroad, and what to do with the people who are
02:59:53temporary or live in temporary occupied
02:59:57territories, europe of course will bend over backwards
03:00:01to accommodate Zelensky, kaya calas,
03:00:05the EU's diplomatic figure head is never one to
03:00:08overthink it, simple and cliche is her
03:00:12style. Putin hasn't had elections or Russia hasn't had
03:00:16elections in 25 years. Zelensky is
03:00:19elected leader, elected in
03:00:22the free and fair elections, and of course during the wartime you
03:00:25can't have elections. Zelensky's corrupt ministers, his
03:00:29army heads simply don't mind, so long
03:00:33as the EU supports... Zelensky, the aid money
03:00:37pours in and it can be divided up and shared
03:00:41around between friends. The only concern
03:00:45is the people of Ukraine, forced brutally to
03:00:49fight a war, they don't want to fight in, by a
03:00:52president they don't want, blasted by
03:00:55propaganda, they don't agree with, and there's
03:00:59nothing they can do about it, but
03:01:01daydream, we must find a legal, safe and real. mechanism
03:01:05that will allow Ukraine to restore a full-fledged democratic process
03:01:09even under the conditions of a prolonged war. This is
03:01:12difficult. We must guarantee the right to vote for our military, for millions of
03:01:16Ukrainians abroad, and for those in the frontline regions. We
03:01:20must ensure the security the electoral process, the independence of
03:01:24institutions, and trust in the results. If Russia could do
03:01:27it, then so could Ukraine, and the only thing
03:01:31stopping elections in Ukraine is the former president.
03:01:35one Zelensky who just doesn't want
03:01:39to leave. Murad Gazdiv, ART from
03:01:43Danetzk. Stay with us here on RT International. I'll be back
03:01:47with all the latest updates on the Russian elections and much more in just about half an hour. I'll
03:01:50see you then.
03:01:51Bye-bye.
03:02:02Hello and welcome to Crosstock Bullhorns here. We discuss some
03:02:06realnims.
Runvira's modern pagans claim their
03:05:50religion is at least 11,00 years old, in fact it's closer
03:05:54to 50 years, it was created on the east coast of America, not
03:05:58on the banks the
03:06:00river.
03:06:06Ranvira religion has meetings and
03:06:09members the Ukrainian diaspora living in
03:06:13Canada, United States,
03:06:16Poland.
03:07:17their goal in eastern Europe. They have come to power as the commissars. The role
03:07:21the Jews in the tragic history the Bolshevic socialist country is very
03:07:25well-known, and when the time comes, Ukraine will hold them accountable for
03:07:28it.
03:09:10This strange Ukrainian religion appeared as part the classified
03:09:14CIA Prolog project, it aimed to stir up
03:09:18separatis and nationalist sentiment in Soviet
03:09:20Ukraine,
03:09:23and therefore I think the United States almost certainly bear
03:09:27some the blame for this. nazi like
03:09:31religion. While studying declassified
03:09:34CIA documents, Jeff Young a House of Representatives candidate
03:09:38often found facts indicating US intelligence collaborated with
03:09:42radical quasi religious organizations. It's
03:09:45a religious sect or cult that
03:09:49stresses the superiority the Ukrainian people, Ukrainian
03:09:53nationalism denigrates ethnic
03:09:56Russians, everything Russian.
03:10:00In just few years during the 1960s, Runvira chapters were
03:10:04opened across the United States and
03:10:06Canada.
03:10:11It doesn't matter what these groups say or
03:10:14do, it will support them, if it if the
03:10:17groups are causing hatred and chaos within the target
03:10:21country. Even on his death bed, Selenco remained
03:10:25silent about who was behind establishing his cult and who had been
03:10:28funding it for decades.
03:10:40United States has fostered extremist
03:10:43anti-Russian prejudices and hatreds among the
03:10:47Ukrainian diaspora in at least Canada, the
03:10:50United States and countries in eastern Europe, probably
03:10:54everywhere in the world. It's possible that the CIA
03:10:58funded Runvira.
03:14:44Modern paganism and the fight against Russian orthodoxy emerged in
03:14:48Ukraine almost immediately after the Soviet Union's
03:14:51collapse. In
03:14:54just few years Ukraine became a world center for the
03:14:58spiritual chaos actively supported by the US and
03:15:01Europe.
03:15:05Today I must be
03:15:08pastor.
03:15:16I've spent years in conversations beyond
03:15:19borders, some were formal,
03:15:23some tense, some
03:15:25difficult, but all them
03:15:29mattered, they chartered India's
03:15:33path and how the world
03:15:36responded, foreign policy isn't theory,
03:15:40it is lived. in arguments, in
03:15:44decisions and in their consequences.
03:15:47It's not an interview, it's a
03:15:50conversation. Let's
03:15:53talk.
03:16:04This is confirmed by documents found at the
03:16:06premises.
