00:02:39three countries seek to expand strategic

00:02:42a cooperation and it growing regional uncertainty. turkey has
00:02:45been actively involved in diplomatic efforts over Gaza, while
00:02:49Pakistan has played a role in mediation between the US and Iran

00:05:27but behind the scenes we know the concerns that are there in Saudi Arabia with
00:05:31visavy Iran as well as its proxies, particularly the fact
00:05:35that it has been attack from Yemen and from
00:05:38Iraq, so it is significant. Turkey has been talking about israel
00:05:42playing the role as a regional destabilizer, so from
00:05:46Turkish perspective again, there is the importance of creating
00:05:50greater deterrents, and then of course there's the talk about
00:05:54the need to have new security architecture in the middle east, because
00:05:57especially after the US Israeli attacks on Iran
00:06:01and the attacks by Iran on GCC countries, there was
00:06:05this view that perhaps the US has not been able
00:06:09to offer security guarantees. was expected by
00:06:13countries like Qatar and Saudi Arabia, so I think what they're really trying to
00:06:17do is they're trying to diversify their options and they're trying
00:06:21not to place all their eggs in the same
00:06:38for basically four reasons which actually brings
00:06:41together ' "these four reasons actually bring together these
00:06:44countries for a shared interest and for a shared understanding of
00:06:48security as regional from regional
00:06:51perspective. first of all, actually, as they all mentioned by the leaders
00:06:55these countries and especially for the Turkish president, this is
00:06:59pact for deterrance, not for aggression. it's
00:07:03deterents for all, so there is none the
00:07:06countries have um more critical security
00:07:10concerns, they do all share certain issues. use as as a threat in the
00:07:14regional politics, but the priority them is
00:07:17deterrance, and this was actually quite clear
00:07:20since the 7th of October or February war of
00:07:24Iran towards Gulf that these gulf
00:07:28countries they actually lack lot of deterrance because the way they
00:07:32actually trying to assure their security mechanisms it's not
00:07:36working anymore, and the second importance is actually they
00:07:40could come together and somehow... can construct
00:07:43a potential alternative security framework for the
00:07:47region and this is not like a US
00:07:50domination or Israel domination in regional affairs, it's an organic, it's
00:07:54regional ownership pattern of security, and these
00:07:58countries can play the role of game setter rather
00:08:01than uh states who can actually who are actually
00:08:05reacting the regional politics dominated by us
00:08:08or Israeli policy making, so this pact,
00:08:12may open a lead for these countries
00:08:16indicating their critical role for the regional security actorness
00:08:20these countries, this is very critical and the third component
00:08:24is more economic um turkey
00:08:27is importing lot of its defense
00:08:30industry uh products to to the Asian
00:08:34countries to the middle eastern countries and with this pact actually they
00:08:38could even have more from turkey.
